Basically the title. For context, I’m currently on my second playthrough, and I decided to run with Hunter. I’m currently in the first real dungeon, and after my leopard companion got knocked down to death’s door, (playing on core but with death’s door because I like not having to reload), it lost the Animal Focus buff and it applied to the character instead. So far, I have tried resting, changing the Animal Focus, and using the ability to apply it to the hunter. None have done anything. Advice?

I am (34f) met my husband (52m) at work 9 years ago. I was married at the time (divorcing, we got together way too young and it was awful) and he had a live in girlfriend. In 2016, the owner of our company died and his wife sold it. It was then we started dating. But it was flipping awful! He was mean, he cheated, I lost any and all confidence, became highly insecure, jealous. All these identities I have never been. It was about 9 months of dating before he considered me his girlfriend, after that I tried to leave 2x.
Why did I try to leave? Well there is a man who I fell deeply in love with the prior year. Yes it was an affair while married to my ex-husband. He was married too. But we have this undeniable connection. He of course didn't leave his marriage and moved away. Well about 9 months into this relationship, this man I love contacts me. It was like a dream come true. At that point I wanted to drop everything to be with him, including the 9 months I have spent with my now husband. But I couldn't. I didn't trust him and although my husband wasn't nice to me at the time, he was a safe choice.
Then, few months goes by and I find my husband was cheating on me with his ex sister in law. He said that is wasn't they were doing but they were exchanging photos and talking. He said he was giving her advice on her marriage. Ya, ok. I wanted to leave the relationship again. But he asked for another chance to improve.
Things seemingly improved over the next few months. Then I got pregnant. Then we get married. Then we buy a house, sell a house, live with his parents to build a new house. All the things. We've been married 5 years now, with an almost 5 year old son.
Somethings have remained the same though, intimacy has always been terrible. I went from an active and adventurous gal to I have no idea how to even be naked in front of a man. My husband always has a comment for everything, an opinion. And it's always opposing mine and what I think or say. He's upset that I am in the prime of my career. I am the VP of a small business with about 30 employees. I am busy, he wants to retire and is upset I work all hours. My 16 year old daughter has health problems that are still getting diagnosed and it majorly affects the whole family. And now the best part. I have lost 60# and my husband suddenly accuses me of cheating. But I am.....
For 8 years, I have never stopped loving the man I had an affair with. I have never not thought about him, my dreams are of him, I see things everyday that remind me of him. When I look into the future, I see him.
We've text off and on my entire marriage. 90% of the time just checking in, making sure everyone is healthy. But this last time? Things have changed. I am thinking more than ever what an idiot I am. I chose safe and I hate myself. I love this man more than anyone I have every loved in my life. He's 1100 miles away so it's not like we're banging.
I know what I need to do and I just don't have the energy. I am so upset I will hurt my husband.

So my life has had a lot of changes in the last few years and I've made posts on here each time. Well, this past year I've taken the stargate through a new world in my life and this time its Divorce.
My wife and I have been together 13 years, married for 10. We have a 9 year old son. From the outside (and even to our son) our marriage was really great. We got along really well, but the issue was we never developed a deep emotional connection.
In February, she asked for a divorce. I tried to fight for us but she was done. So done that she started dating immediately after. This woman that I've cherished, trusted and always seen as a truly caring and genuine person completely shut me off and went on in her life so happily. My therapist, her family, our friends, etc has said she just has the "grass is greener" syndrome and will be coming back, but aftwr what ive gone through I think I'm just ready to stay in this new world and not go back.
With my grandma gone, dad gone, grandpa gone I was really struggling with feeling like I lost my childhood. Then I lost the woman of my life from the past 13 years. My life seems unrecognizable, but I'm ready for this new chapter. I'm excited to start a new chapter with my little man.
Anyways, I'm rewtaching Stargate again and this is the last part of my childhood I have left. It's the last thing from my "life when things were simple" and I'm glad that I'll always have it...hopefully!

Note: Subreddit wants two ages so I had to put mine twice at the end. Sorry.
Before anyone freaks out, I’ve grown up being very immature for my age. Even now I’m still immature for my age. Like think of me as someone 2 years behind emotionally. I think it’s the way I’ve acted growing up that caused this.
When I was 18, the youngest girls I could feel attraction to were 14. A lot of 18 was spent as a high school senior, still living the life of a school kid. I was very immature for my age, I didn’t feel like an adult, driving and jobs felt like perks and not necessities, and my school peers were 14-18, all of us living the same school kid life.
When I entered college and was still 18, I lost interest in 14 year olds since there was zero possibility of them being in high school at the same time as me. When I was in high school at 18, there were freshman that were 14. So the limit was now 15.
Upon turning 19, I immediately lost interest in anyone under 16. The idea of being attracted to someone who couldn’t even drive or get a job, was like, yeah fuck no.
The farther I’m into 19, and the more adulthood I experience, the more my attraction towards 16-17 year olds diminishes. Now I have very little interest in them, and my strongest attractions are going towards legal adults. Like stronger by a significant amount. I’m paying way more attention to people of legal age than I would ever 16-17.
In terms of media, I’m finding it very hard to relate to anyone still in high school (even 18 in school), and a lot of my watching preferences are gearing towards adult programs. Most of what I’m interested in watching are shows about adults just like me. School life doesn’t interest me that much anymore. I didn’t quit watching kids shows, they just aren’t my primary interest anymore.
Not that I didn’t watch adult shows before I graduated high school, I did, but a lot of them were kids shows (like characters in the K-12 education system.)
I can see where this is going. By the time I’m 20, I’m sure I’ll no longer be attracted to anyone under 18. I’m really looking forward to this. Having 100% of the people I’m interested in be of legal age. If not when I turn 20, sometime while I’m 20. There’s no way I’ll reach 21, and still be into a minor in school.
When I was 18, I couldn’t have predicted this, maybe because a lot of it was spent in high school when I was still basically a child, and now I’m actually an adult so things are changing? Or am I just maturing a whole lot and it doesn’t feel like it.
I know my mindset and priorities and lifestyle are very different, just feels like my general personality isn’t as far off as my differences in attraction are making it seem.
TLDR; It’s crazy.

Reading my previous posts tonight was so painful. Some previous issues have resolved or changed while others stay the same. I’m still married and I still dream of living a happier life.
Watching movies where couples love each other unconditionally (I just finished “The Last Letter from your Lover”) makes me so sad because I don’t know what that’s like. My husband doesn’t really know me and I don’t think he actually likes me. I’ve lost so many activities I used to participate in because he doesn’t approve or understand. I miss intellectual discussions. Everything feels so superficial. I feel like I’ve lost so much of myself. He’s managed to slowly kill parts of my soul that I’ll never get back. I don’t think I’ll be able to trust anyone with my heart, completely, ever again.
I wish he’d go on a business trip so I can have a break. I feel so lost. I don’t know who I am or what I want any more. I don’t have the ability to take some time off for myself. I don’t know what I’m going to do beyond go to sleep after I post this, wake up tomorrow and get my kid ready for a full day of sports. I will continue to be an amazing mom and show up for my kids in every way I possibly can.

I dream of one day having a good close friend that I play video games with everyday. I've slowly lost all my gaming friends through the years and I seriously miss it. I don't really know how to go about finding a friend to play with. I've tried playing with random people in Last Epoch, for example, but it's just not working out. I don't want to play some random game that is boring alone, like, say, New World, just to look for a friend. It sounds a bit much.
So I'm looking for people here, though it doesn't seem to be working that well either. People keep ghosting me with no explanation why. But who knows, maybe one day the perfect person will come along and read this. And it only takes one person, right?
Gaming alone is not nearly as fun. I don't really care what game we play, as long as we're having fun. That said, here's some games I like:
I just got Age of Wonders 4 and have been playing it a lot in my free time. I have never played an AoW game before. I also just got Darkest Dungeon 2. I've also got back into Pathfinder: Wrath of the Rigtheous. But those latter two are single-player games, and AoW4 doesn't seem like a game I'd want to play multiplayer anyway.
Just before that, I had gotten back into Last Epoch, with the 0.9 patch that released not long ago, and now multiplayer is a thing! I mostly played my offline necromancer by myself, but let's make new toons together and play together! (Or we can use our old toons if you already have one.)
I also like Old World some, but have never played it with another person. Maybe we could, if you want?
Aside from that, I used to play Hearthstone a lot. But not anymore. I would love to find a new TCG/CCG type game to play. Not Marvel SNAP or Legends of Runeterra.
Would also like to find someone to play Slay the Spire with too where we watch each other. I'm not sure about the co-op mod as I hear it sucks, but maybe. I've played it a lot and have beat Ascension 20 and then some with the Silent, been getting into the Defect some but don't play the other 2 classes at all. Would love to have someone to play this game with or show them the ropes.
And I play some other obscure titles like Thea 2. Would be nice to find somebody to play that with.
I would really love to find someone to introduce a new game to me in a genre I like. TCG, MMO, ARPG mainly. Really, I'm just looking for a friend to play with that is fun and we get along. That's all that really matters. Sucks playing alone every night.
MMORPG's I have played and enjoyed include Elder Scrolls Online, ArcheAge, Bless Unleashed, New World, and Wakfu. I would love to get back into one of those with someone! I'm NOT interested in playing FFXIV, WoW, GW2, or Lost Ark! Don't ask! If you know of any other good MMO's, though, let me know and maybe we can play it together. Though I could definitely have fun playing one of those MMO's I've played before if I was playing with the right person.
ARPG's I have played and liked in the past include Path of Exile, Last Epoch, Diablo 3, Undecember, and Grim Dawn. I think I might be permanently done with playing PoE alone, but would like to try playing it with someone else, especially someone knew who I could teach everything to. Diablo 4 looks lame.
A little about me: I'm 34 years old, live in the US in central time zone, and live alone with my 2 cats. I'm looking for friends to game with because I don't really have many. I'm online every night and usually gaming! I'm super friendly and talkative and looking for the same, and someone who has time to talk and to play. I'm also LGBTQ+ friendly in case that needs to be said. Also looking for people who have a sense of humor. I don't care about your age as long as we get along. Voice chat is mandatory (sorry!).

Salam everyone. I got engaged, and because I have to leave the country soon, my parents decided to get my Nikah done (arrange), so that I can move with my partner to that country at the end of this year. We haven't gotten married yet, just the Nikah is done.
I didn't have the chance to talk to her about life, boundaries or anything important prior to the Nikah. She is very reserved, and so am I. I am a bit too shy. But this changed yesterday while we were texting. The topic came up where she told me she has 2 male best friends she shares everything with. Now, being someone who has never intentionally made female friends despite of being around girls in the workplace, in the university when I was a student. Never have I messaged any girl randomly on any social media account. I do not allow any girl to be in my friend list anywhere. This is just who I am, being brought up in a pro-Islamic family and seeing my aunts this way, I always had this idea of a wife who will not have any male friends, no pictures on social media, no males on social media, no picture sharing with any male etc. Their husband is the only best friend they have. I admired this so much since I was 8 years old.
Anyway, my wife just told me that there's this guy that's her best friend since always, he has the same name as me, smh. She told me he did not come to the engagement event or the Nikah, as he was too emotional to be there. She also said that this guy treats her like his sister so there's nothing to worry about. I asked her, why would someone be emotional and avoid his best friend's wedding if he doesn't have any feelings? She then said something that has bothering me so much, to the point I feel like throwing up. She said: "He is not avoiding me, we talk every single day." and then, "Thanks for being cool about this and not be a typical male who stop their wives from talking to their male friends."To which I instantly sent her a longest message describing how I cannot accept that, how it's wrong, how I've seen a dozen of relationships spiralling down etc. But, I didn't wanna be the person who controls his wife, so I also said to her (which I highly regret now), you can talk to your male friends, but this will have to stop as soon as we get married.
She said that once we meet up (hopefully tonight), we'll talk about this. Her being said that, I strongly believe she is going to try to change my mind on how good he is and there's nothing to worry about, how her entire family knows this, etc.
Prior to the engagement, I asked my mother to look for only one thing in a girl and nothing else. I do not care about the beauty. I only care about my wife not having male friends. That was my only requirement. To which, my mother said that you'll be single forever if you keep up with this requirement of yours. And she is correct, as I have never seen any single female who doesn't have atleast one male friend. Including my sisters.
Now, let me also state that she is a very decent human being, belonging to a very friendly and amazing family which I never expected. And I am willing to blind trust her. But this guy being emotional over her engagement and nikah is such a red flag for me.
I told her that I have no female friends, even though girls do approach me everywhere, to which she said, you can have female friends, I am totally cool with that.
We are Muslims. This is not okay. This should never be okay. I am starting to develop this anxiety and rethinking the whole thing. Having second thoughts. We are going to have a talk soon, and how do I approach this? Any kind of help/advices/tips would be highly appreciated as there's absolutely no one I can share this with currently. I am completely lost and think I am losing my mind even though we haven't developed any bond yet.

2023.06.10 07:02 throwaway01820182 I'm so tired, man (super long post warning)

Been lurking this sub for a while! Thought I'd finally leave a post (on a throwaway, just to be safe).
So currently, I (20) live with my mom, my two younger brothers, and our two cats. I don't know if my mom qualifies as truly being an nparent, she just comes off as pathetic to me. Anyway, I'm the result of a teen pregnancy and as such, my entire life has been completely unstable and really unfair. We all used to live with my ndad, but he was extremely verbally and mentally abusive to everyone around him, especially my mom and myself. They'd argue a lot and he'd run off in a hurry, and my mom would turn to me to be her emotional support. My memory of my entire childhood gets hazier by the day (repression is doing its wonders), but I do remember that my mom would sometimes leave with him to help him with his body building shows without telling me. This often left me to fend for myself and act as a sort of parent to my brothers. The only thing I remember from this is the absolute fear and dread of everything. My mom had this mentality that the world outside is scary and there's kidnappers in every corner, and my grandma would turn this up to 11 by going on and on about how there's rapists everywhere and they all want me specifically and that my only safety is at home. Due to this, I've grown up extremely sheltered and feel very powerless.
Skip some years and in 2016, my mom made the grand decision to move me and my brothers all to live with my grandma to get away from my dad. Her decision was SUPER rash, as we basically moved out within the same day as the pair had an argument (the argument was over me making a joke to my dad. He asked me to put a plate into the sink and I jokingly said,"I didn't sign up to be a slave". He immediately followed up with "I didn't sign up for you to be born"). At my grandma's house, everything was somehow worse. With my mom's decision, we had basically lost everything. All my toys at the time were gone (I was 13 and had an entire collection of littlest pet shop toys that I loved dearly. All gone except for 1 I hold onto to this day), half my clothes were gone, we were essentially 1 step up from being homeless (living with grandma), and we didn't even have a washing machine. My mom had to keep spraying our clothes with Tide Febreze spray, because she didn't even have enough quarters for the laundromat. The entire ordeal sucked. It wasn't helping that my grandma was absolutely god-awful.
EVERYTHING I did was wrong. I didn't microwave food correctly ("you're too messy"), I couldn't get cold water correctly ("you're lazy for not putting the water jug in the freezer!"), can't eat correctly ("you act like you never ate before!"), can't use the shower correctly ("you get water everywhere"), can't do anything right. My mom was still using me as a therapist, complaining about how wrong her life had gone. We had a cat at this point and he was my last fragment of sanity. I came home (ha... "home") one day and my mom had gotten rid of the cat while I was away because she KNEW I'd freak out if I saw her do it. I couldn't even say goodbye, and my grandma's first reaction to my crying was to mock me and laugh about how the cat probably died (fortunately he didn't, he was put into a shelter and he was adopted by an old lady within a week). At some point I completely broke and started screaming about how much I wanted to die, and my grandma's response was to mock me for it. She told me that she'd help me kill myself if I was so serious, talking about how she'd get a rope and tie it just for me. My mom even joined in, telling me she'd help me buy a gun so I can shoot myself. That entire scene is burned into my brain and it still really hurts.
Eventually we moved out and my mom finally took her spot as the antagonist of my life, because why not? Fortunately, this time period is way less eventful. Mostly just screaming, yelling, throwing me against a closet door and continuously throwing me back whenever I tried to walk away, her abusing the two new cats we adopted (we still have them now) and me yelling at her for it which immediately resulted in her throwing me to the ground and kicking me, her constantly calling me variations of "evil" and "mean" and "stupid", her calling me unlovable and telling me that no one will ever want to hang out with me just because I didn't like the fact that she was watching that old Ssoyoung mukbang youtube channel... Y'know! Uneventful! /s
She's finally chilled out in recent years and has become exceptionally clingy instead of outright abusive... Who am I kidding? Clinginess is just her being controlling and insecure. But I feel like I'm forced to just accept that this is the best she'll ever do. My grandma, though, is still horrendous. She got pregnant with my mom when she was 18 and I swear she never grew out of high school. Anything inconvenient is a personal attack, me wanting to be alone ever means I hate her altogether (happens often. I'm an introvert, have severe social anxiety, and am a massive loner), and if I don't do everything she says exactly as she wants me to in that exact moment, I'm evil. Just today, she said I'm exactly like my dad just because I didn't say "bye" to my brother who's leaving for 3 months to help our granduncle with his cleaning job. This same brother has ALSO said I'm exactly like my dad in the past because... I yelled at my mom for kicking one of our cats. Always evil, always bad, always a carbon copy of my dad, all for the most innocuous of things. I've had two therapists in the last couple years who I've been spilling all this to (first guy left the practice, hence why I had two), and I find it interesting that both of their reactions had spanned from very confused to very concerned whenever I tell these events. (I sure do wonder who's in the wrong here! /s)
I'm so tired of living here. I go to therapy every other week, and only in therapy did I learn that all of what my family has done to me is abuse, not love. Only in therapy did I learn that it's NOT normal for your family to insult you. It's not normal for your mom and grandma to make you their therapist, then treat you like dirt the moment you do something they don't like. It's not normal to be told that it's "greedy" to eat more than once a day and that you deserve to starve for running out of food (even though your mom only shops for groceries for 3 kids once every 2 weeks), leading to you to be VERY likely to develop an eating disorder in the near future. It's not normal for that same mother to then turn around and yell at you for not eating enough and tell everyone that you're anorexic, when she's the one who put you in this mess in the first place. It's not normal for your mom to fail to teach you essential life skills despite you asking repeatedly because you're "too young" and "have always been a little slow" but then immediately relent when someone else questions why you can't do said essential life skills (I couldn't do laundry until I was 18, I couldn't cook until I was 19, and I'm only set to get my driver's license now at 20). It's not normal to truly believe that you don't deserve compliments because you're too unlovable and anyone who says otherwise is lying, and it's not normal to treated like you're 10 one minute, but then be threatened to be kicked out the millisecond you do something wrong because, after all, "you're an adult!!". I'm always evil, never good. And it's only ever this family who says this, the couple friends I've managed to pull together say the exact opposite things about me. Isn't it funny how that works? Always horrible to the family, but everyone outside thinks you're great... It's not fair, man.
I'm really. Really tired. I'm currently in college full-time, living at home strictly to save money (it'd suck to move out and have to come back because student loan debt was worse than I thought). My brother (same one that insulted me), aunt, and grandma keep nagging for me to get a job and buy groceries for the family or pay rent because I'm a horrible selfish person or something (Surprisingly, this is one of the few things my mom backs me up on. She's completely fine with me focusing on college and tells everyone else to mind their business).
I can't work full-time while attending school, I could never handle the stress. I can only wait until I graduate, get a full-time job, save money, then leave. It also has to be in that exact rigid structure, I will freak out if it isn't (another problem I should probably get checked, hooray). I want to move to a state that's 2,300+ miles away (from Ohio to Washington). I've envisioned an entire life for myself there, complete with having my own found family. I don't need this family, I want one where people actually love and care about me. I want to get more therapy so I can properly heal. I want to get a dog, I want to be able to go outside without fear, I want to have lots of small pets who'll be properly cared for and loved. I've been questioning lately if I could even be trans, I want to find specialized therapy so I can safely explore this further. I want to change my name so I can sever my ties with this family. My name only gives me grief, I want a name that screams me. I want people who'd love me no matter who I turn out to be. I want people around who'd applaud my growth instead of downing me for never being good enough. I want people who are deserving of the me I've been trying to safeguard for so many years; a hypersensitive crybaby whose interests bounce around like ping pong and is in desperate need of a hug. I just want someone to care about me. And it's not fair that I don't have this. I didn't ask for this pain, all I did was be born. What did I do to deserve this?
TL;DR: I'm really really sick of dealing with my horribly toxic family. I can't explore myself as a person and despite being in therapy, can't truly heal since I'm stuck here. I can't drive, I'm really feeling trapped. I have dreams of moving far away and never coming back, but it still feels hopeless sometimes. I know it can't be, I know I can be free, but I can't do anything until I graduate college and save some money. Really sad about it. I'm really tired and want to go home, but home doesn't exist.

I(28,F) got married 2 years ago through an AM setup. Things before marriage were pretty smooth but as it happens in every case, I saw the true colours after marriage. My MIL constantly degrades me by calling me lazy, that I don’t treat her as my own mother. The worst part is she does all this behind my back. On my face, she would be the sweetest person in the world. She is the one of the most greedy people I have come across. What triggers me the most is that she doesn’t even spare my mother(my mom is a single mother and I am an only child), calling her names and back bitching all the time. My husband is a fucking man child and a mumma’s boy, who only enables her. We live separately in another city, so whenever we’re at our home he acts like the best husband who can’t do any wrong but the moment we are at my in laws there is an obvious change. I can’t believe I was in love with this person. I hate my husband and I do not want to be in this marriage anymore but I can’t leave him because I know it will kill my mother. I have started to get panic attacks and feel suicidal. I am really lost and just want some mental peace.

Last year I replaced nearly everything in my PC...new motherboard, CPU, power supply, even a new power button (just to find out my only problem was a bent pin on my CPU 😅) Anyway...fast forward to now, I'm having an issue with my PC constantly restarting when doing any gaming or video streaming. Its not the "blue screen of death"....just sinply restarting. I can do anything else with no problems but the second I start a video or a game, it restarts...I've cleaned my PC, moved it to a more open area for air, changed power settings....it's still doing it. I'm thinking it may be my RAM or possibly my power supply going bad, which I hope not since I just replaced that not ever a year ago...does anyone know what may be causing this?? Here is a picture of my PC if that helps at all...I'm very new at all of this so I'm really lost here.

Newer to this group - we have been enjoying our time with our accidental adoption of Great Pyrenees Percy (aka Barry White - Bear for short. We’ve changed his name so will call him Bear from now on ) for several weeks now.
Bear and our sweet older rescue mutt, Beau, have become fast friends. If I was good with technology I’d add all the videos and pictures of them playing non stop! Beau is a hard nut to crack especially after he lost his best friend over the rainbow bridge about a year ago. Also, Beau has seizures that are quite intense, and although we do all we can to prevent them via medication and love and aid him in getting through them, sometimes they come up out of nowhere. It’s really traumatic as they’re usually very intense - none of the vets can figure out how he rallies and keeps going after all these years! Perhaps because he’s a very hardy Heinz 57!!?? No idea - and the bloodwork isn’t cheap 😂🤦‍♀️❤️
ANYWAY - Bear the GP pup has only known Beau for a few weeks and the first night Bear was here with us he was very in tuned with Beau and they’ve become fast friends!
Fast forward to right now. Bear and Beau are outside playing happily, but just as I go to get in the shower I hear Bear going nuts outside. I run out as Bear is banging into the glass doors that lead inside/yelping/howling/scratching/screeching/knocking plants oveessentially acting a fool and then running all over me once I got there. He was running back to Beau then bark bark barking at me like “HELLO?!!”.
Beau was not yet having a seizure, seemed like he was just hanging out! He definitely was not even in a notice le prodomal state. However, since Bear was so insistent that something was wrong - I scooped Beau up and put him inside in the pack n play and went with my gut re: Bears alerts and gave Beau his emergency seizure meds.
Beau began seizing about 2 minutes later and was able to come out of it in less than 5 minutes. This is a record for him! He went back to frolicking with his new buddy in no time ..
All due to Bear’s badgering and quick alerting.
They’re both good good good damn dogs ❤️ and Percy/Bear is really showing us what GPs can do (when he is not literally eating the laundry at 3am)

2023.06.10 06:48 errantgrammar Should I stay or should I go now?

I'm just contemplating embarking on the no contact journey with my partneex. I have no idea what we are anymore, but I do know that it's too much to ask me to keep hanging around waiting for him to turn his focus to me again. We are neither of us faultless, but after 3 years, I'm starting to feel tired and lonely. That shouldn't happen when I'm still in a relationship. Our highs were dizzying, as they tend to be, but our lows were tough, though mostly just empty. He would hit a depressive phase and just disappear for days, even weeks on end. It was excruciating, and the worry was unmanageable at times. He would send the occasional text, and I have to admit that those seemed to acknowledge the impact on me - he would say things like, "Hey. Just checking in. I'm okay, just doing it tough right now." but he always remained in control of us, of our time together and apart. Other times, he would ask how I was doing, and I know that at his lowest, he couldn't actually cope with the answer, but he would ask, because he wanted me to feel supported and cared for. In his way, this was the closest thing to approximating love that he could manage. A couple of times, though, he has reverted to behaving like a five year old or throwing in my face something personal that only he had been trusted with. We rarely fight, but this year, he stopped fighting fair.
I am conscious of all the things we have been through, as individuals, in this time. He lost his sister in very tragic circumstances, and his job. I have battled to keep my kids because my belligerent ex couldn't deal with my moving on (it wasn't the 'who', it was just my audacity - that I would be with anyone was highly offensive to him, and his narcissism simply wouldn't allow it - trust me, I'd take this relationship a thousand times over that one), but also gone ahead in leaps and bounds in my career - I have worked hard and been very lucky to be recognised for that so often that it made my head spin.
There's also the undeniable fact that we came into this on the back of two bad break ups and many years of friendship. It's a complicated mix that doesn't help.
So recently, I asked for a break. I actually don't want to lose him. For all of this pain, we've actually been very good for each other, and it is clear that we know each other in a way that most people never will - I know lots of people say that, but it's true. Until this year, we could be vulnerable with each other without hesitation. We have talked each other through the darkest parts of our lives and spent a thousand hours discussing the world, our thoughts, and everything that sprung to mind. But I'm not sure if I'm trying to hold on to something that is gone for good, or if his promises that he just needs some time are legitimate. He might have a condition, but his choices are still his choices. He can do the hard stuff if he chooses to. Even he recognises this as true. But if I'm not worth doing it for now, I have no reason to assume I will be later. Compassion fatigue is real, and we are both suffering it, but his capacity for compassion is lower than mine, and I don't want to keep reducing myself to avoid asking more than he has to give. He has put me first many times, and I don't expect to always be there, but I do feel like I deserve more than I currently have.
With that said, after agreeing to this break, I spent two days straight out crying. Then I reached out, because I'm in love with him, and not sure I'm ready to say goodbye. We are now two weeks in, and I've started to repair. But he has messaged me two days this week, saying he hopes I am well, and each time, I go through a whole process of evaluation before I respond. I am well. I am sad that this is where we are right now, and for the time being, a part of me still holds hope that we will do exactly what we said we would do, and return to each other when we both felt more equipped to do it, but I also can't imagine how that would look, because at the moment all I have is an urge to find my feet. Not to leave, necessarily, but to refocus on myself.
So I suppose I'm now at the stage of being desperate enough to ask strangers for their thoughts. The only jury he will ever face with me will be mine - I don't need someone to tell me what to do. I love this man, and will not walk away unless I feel 100% convinced that it is what I need to do. But I could use your thoughts to evaluate my own, to check my working, so to speak. On the one hand, I'm not sure we need to go no contact, provided that his texts don't become toxic. But on the other, I don't want to stand around waiting for the water to become undrinkable. I did float the idea of monthly date, to keep us alive whilst we work on things, but I don't know if that's a bad idea or not. Maybe I won't know until we've tried. The only thing I feel confident in right now is that things will never be vastly different from the way they are now. He will always be this person. He has changed a lot, in small ways, but he will always be a little aloof, he'll always be occasionally unreachable. Am I okay with that, or am I seeking something more?
Finally, I do wonder if I have to know? Is it okay to accept that there aren't answers for some of these questions? I am also neurodivergent, and unknowns are something I can generally only accept if I can keep them at a distance. A huge part of me feels the need for a decision, to stay or to go. To end, or to fight. But another part reminds me that I need time too, and I might stand half a chance of getting it (whatever it is?) right if I just leave things to play out how they may.

“God in the world; Spiritual Child” means that the world in which we live, is in all its aspects, be it spiritual, mental, emotional or physical is an expression of God or the Divine. It is the energy that makes us ‘alive’. A ‘0’ always creates unrest and with it comes the great power for transformation. The challenge is to answer the quintessential question: “WHO AM I?’ As It is the second dominant axis in the Pentagram after the central axis, it is imperative in the 15 Pentagram that you work on the expansion of your self-awareness. The two opposing principles are the ‘Healing and Salvation number’ coming from the spiritual level to join with the ‘Visionary’ coming from the physical level. So working on the expansion of your self-awareness brings healing and salvation on the spiritual level which could translate into visionary powers on the physical level. Remember that the 2-7 axis is also called the psycho-somatic axis. If you fail or refuse to work on your self-awareness, it will have its effects on the physical body. Either making you feel depressed, without energy or even allow illnesses to grow.
26: Healing and Salvation number.
Positively your Power -Force drives your Intuition and creates healing and salvation. Negatively it may shatter your intuition completely. The expansion of self-awareness drives the way you relate to others and how you define your relationships. The better you know Who you are the deeper and more rewarding your relationships will be. The two opposing principles are “Expansion” coming from the mental level to join with “Detachment, Redemption” coming from the emotional level. Mentally you have the desire to expand your Will in your relationships, whereas emotionally you seek the opposite: detachment and redemption.
37: Expansion
Self-awareness drives and aims for change and decisiveness in the sense of expanding. “Expansion” is also the 4th dimension of manifestation. The sum of expansion and its underlying rank prime numbers is: Physical Power and Sexuality.
