2023.03.23 00:03 SelectHoliday7698 I want a woman who is like a gay man

Because from my experience gay men Love looking at men and love the male body, the gay guys who I have on facebook will always share pics of shirtless men and will always comment on how fit some man looks but I never see women doing this.
In fact I dont know why men pay for womens OFs and visit strip clubs because women dont pay for our OFs and most women hate male strip clubs. Men give women attention and then women give other women attention, they dont even like looking at our nudes or us in porn.
I love women who are very visual and who are into mens looks, I like it when women like looking at naked men or like watching us strip.

2023.03.23 00:02 OkIntroduction7560 This is a long one, I’m desperate for some guidance.

Has anyone here come out as lesbian after identifying as bisexual/pansexual or after being in heterosexual relationships, and would be willing to share your experience with a very confused woman??? TLDR at bottom.
I’ve loosely identified as bi since I was a teenager, (mostly just saying “I like who I like” which I think is more in line with pansexual?) but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately and I think I might be lesbian. I’m terrified to drop the bisexual label because what if I’m wrong and I don’t want to add to the stigmas of either orientation and do the whole “going back” thing.
This is long so feel free to skip to the bottom, I just want to get all my thoughts out.
My last hetero relationship was almost 10 years ago (from 17-20, I’m 27 now). I’ve chosen to be essentially celibate since then. Everyone assumes I’m straight (only recently gained the confidence to correct people) and I only really get attention from men. I get asked out pretty often, but never feel the attraction back and just resorted to telling people “I don’t date” for years. I’ve slept with a few men since that relationship, but had to be extremely intoxicated, sometimes blacked out, to go through with it. It was never that enjoyable for me and more felt like something I was obligated to do and had to get it over with.
(I should note that my ex-boyfriend would force himself on me, which definitely caused trauma around relationships and sex. I don’t know if that’s a factor in this.)
I enjoy flirting with men and find some men attractive, but when it comes to them getting physical with me, I get grossed out and stop things. I know I like the attention that flirting brings, I mean who doesn’t like to feel liked? I don’t know if the physical attraction is real or heteronormative conditioning (?) that I’ve just learned is a thing and really know nothing about…
I’ve known since I was young that I was attracted to women but denied it for a long time. I was raised in a conservative home, so my understanding of “being gay” was flawed and I identified as straight until my late teenage years. But seriously so many signs: I got in trouble when I was a kid for looking up pictures of boobs, teenage years there was a lot of kissing at sleepovers, first time drunk my “crush” came over and I turned him down to make out with my (girl) friend, only watched lesbian porn because men would ruin it, etc etc etc….
Finally some months ago, a girl showed interest in me and that whole “I don’t date” spiel went right out the window! We had a relationship for a short time until I ended it, just feeling like we weren’t a great match. I honestly jumped into it too soon because I was sooo excited to have a girlfriend and nothing felt wrong or gross being with her.
Since then, I’ve again had guys wanting to date me and I have the same feelings of the ick. I really want to start dating again, and exclusively with women, but I know when I’m asked about my sexuality, I won’t have a good answer. I would hate for the assumption to be that I’m experimenting with or fetishizing women. Or that I’m straight and will go back to men. Or any of the other stigmas that are attached with someone confused about their sexuality.
I know I don’t need a label but I’m frustrated, and just want to figure this out. I don’t even know where to start with getting help or guidance, so I thought I would try here. Any advice, anecdotes, or shared experiences would be so helpful and appreciated.
TL;DR I’ve identified as bisexual for years but I’m starting to doubt it. Hoping for some support and advice from anyone who has been through the same. Or point me in the right direction to get help with this. Thank you!

2023.03.22 23:59 derpina_is_a_mermaid Why is Scott Patterson's GG podcast so bad?!

I wanted to love it. I've loved the character of Luke for years. I've given it another try over and over. It's just bad. I listened to part 1 of their Raincoats and Recipes review and I'm just.....done. Here's what I've realized/discovered:
  1. Episodes are 52 minutes to an hour long. Ten to 12 minutes are ads. Fine. It's free content. The thing is, the quality of the free content doesn't justify the constant ads.
  2. The co-hosts: The two younger ones are fine, if not bland. But Amy, the main co-host, is almost impossible to listen to. She isn't very bright oro knowledgeable about the industry. She works for Ryan Seacrest! And probably others. She asks the most bizarre questions and can’t seem to separate Scott from Luke.
  3. It's the most unprofessional podcast I've ever listened to. It regularly skips back to a portion of the conversation we've already heard. It also ends, literally, mid-sentence all the time. They don't have an editor?
  4. Finally, I hate to say it but Scott is a grump and has objectively bad takes. He acts like he doesn't want to be there, cuts people off, and talks down to the rest of the hosts. I also recently discovered that he follows some far-right political figures on Twitter. Yikes.
What are your thoughts? I really wish I liked it.

2023.03.22 23:57 franchisikms Please tell me if/why Mrs. Doubtfire is transphobic?

I ran into someone who told me they were ripped to shreds on the internet for supporting transphobia (he is a gay theatre reviewer and very trans supportive in his own words) because they saw the West End show Mrs. Doubtfire and reviewed it.
He was told online that he was transphobic for accepting the opportunity to review the show. Poor guy had anxiety for days reading that.
Am I just old or has Mrs Doubtfire not aged well? All I remember is a movie about a Dad pretending to be a British housekeeper to spend more time with his kids.

2023.03.22 23:56 waitingroomlift Do I [27F] have an unusual belief, or do they? [40F]

Since its believed by most people that oral sex is much more commonly performed on men than on women...
How do women therefore feel that vaginas are sexually appreciated in society as much as penises are?
Also since it's nothing to do with men being selfish (because gay men are men and have no issues giving oral to men, and do it as much as women give oral to men or probably more.) What do women assume is the reason for the difference/contrast/imbalance?
Do most women assume it's because men are selfish & not think about the fact that this doesn't apply to gay men?
Clearly it's vaginas that are the issue, what else could it be?
I discussed this bothering me with my psychologist and she said oral is 50/50 between the genders.

2023.03.22 23:55 thehollowshrine Resurrections is such a comfort movie

Hi people, I just watched Resurrections for the 5th time, and I can't believe it still gets better with every re-watch. I'm 27, starting to feel my decline in health, haven't got many like-minded people around me, as I live in a country with a backwards mindset where even the gays are homophobic. And so, lately, I've been feeling old, and angry at everyone for dismissing essential things like peace, silence, consent and compassion, for belittling every problem they don't understand and just phasing out everything unfamiliar, yet still pretending to like being so numb. Like, why am I such an opposite to everything around me? I don't like being similar to the exact way everyone around me is, and I feel I have no choice but to become like that if I am to have a social life, WHICH IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE to having a social life. Then there goes the Analyst, basically saying we need the friction, the contrast and the intensity of our feelings to be productive. And the people of Io, proving peaceful co-existence is possible despite our fundamental differences. It's such a release to hear that, honestly.
I put on Resurrections today on HBOMax just out of boredom, to have something playing while I have my dinner, and remembered how alive and understood it made me feel that first time I saw it in the theater, and I didn't even know how much more there is to the movie at that time. It honestly makes me hopeful that there are others out there that get it.
I really hope we don't have to wait another 20 years for people to catch up with how much they actually need free-spirited, community-centered stories like The Matrix. This re-watch, I really got into the feelings of the characters in Io and I'd give much of what I have to see more stories from them.
I also have some questions about Sati's plan to get Trinity out. Like, does Bugs "know" what it's like to be Trinity now that she's been her for a moment? What did Trinity feel while she was unplugged but still in the Matrix, without Bugs as a placeholder? And in general, how does unplugging someone without them dying work? Maybe it's like AI running on the training base that a person is, until they get plugged back in.
And anyway, if there's anyone else with similar experiences and thoughts about the movie, I'd be happy to hear that. In any case, I wish everyone more Matrix stories soon and I wish Lana and Lilly all the support and love they deserve.

Edit: By the way, how did Carrie-Anne Moss not win an Oscar for this? She bared her soul for us AND went badass at it. She's a fucking beast and it's everyone else's loss if they don't recognize that.

2023.03.22 23:53 viewtoathrill viewtoathrill #36: Black Panther Wakanda Forever (2022)

Started January 6th
2023: #36
Total for this sub: #656
Watched February 24th On a Plane IMDB Directed by: Ryan Coogler Written by: Ryan Coogler, Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby TSPDT: Unranked
161 minutes. I did not like the original Black Panther so was very skeptical going into this and didn’t see it in theaters. But I was wrong, this movie was awesome and might end up being the best in phase 4.
I just checked Rotten Tomatoes and it seems the audience score generally lines up with my opinion as well with the franchise moving from a 79% in the first one to a 94% with Wakanda Forever. I know Rotten Tomatoes is not the best gauge, but it feels appropriate for a Marvel movie. And in this case, I totally agree with the general public.
My biggest complaint with the first Black Panther was that it had brilliant and unique ideas but the overall wrapper of the story was weak and the dialog was really tough at times. I know that sentence could potentially be lifted onto many Marvel films but I found it to be a particular transgressor. Not so here, this movie handled a few different important storylines with precision and maturity that caught me off guard.
At the heart is a story of moving on from grief and stepping into a leadership role in the family before you feel it’s your time. Letitia Wright handled this story very naturally. I felt her pain was real and her latent warrior was believable. This was an important piece to nail down because they also made the decision to introduce water people from Avatar 2 and had this bit been in the wrong hands I think it could have really failed. But kudos to the writing team, I like the way they expanded the idea of a powerful nation that chooses to stay in the shadows to keep their people safe.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of cheesy decisions and storylines that I imagine will not carry over well to subsequent viewings. But, for a movie that I was expecting nothing from, in the middle of a Marvel phase that has continuously disappointed with almost every release, I think they nailed this one and it has me energized to see the next slate of titles from the box office kings.

2023.03.22 23:52 Effective-Swan2687 Hi need help with setting boundaries (?)

So as the title says, I need advice on how to set boundaries. I (m23) recently discovered that my internet friend is 18m, I'm completely mortified as we have been sharing sexual contents. Inuendos and things like that. I know I should've been more careful and checked their profile before interacting with them.
We basically trauma bonded under one post I posted and they dm'ed me to talk. After that we just chatted everyday. I feel so bad I feel like I'm being predatory or some shit. I want to set some boundaries to stop talking sexual things with him, to clarify before anyone assumes. We just 'ship' ourselves to fictional characters. We're both gay and was groomed/SA'ed that's where we bonded.
He would constantly send extreme detail of how he wants to be fcked by fictional character, and knowing his age I'm now bothered. IK it's that age of exploration I was like that too, but I'm really uncomfortable.
I just don't know how to bring this up.
Also we've never met and has only been talking for a few months.

2023.03.22 23:50 youAhUah Surrogacy Ban: Italy planning blanket law against ‘procreative tourism’, offenders to face €1m fine

..I just want to point out how every law or policy that recognizes women's full humanity and right not to be sold for sex or breeding is now almost exclusively framed as "far-right" and often as "discrimination" or an "attack" on the "rights" of "marginalized" males.
The purpose is two-fold: to erase the legacy of left-wing feminists who've been campaigning to prohibit surrogacy for DECADES and to discourage straight liberal women from openly opposing surrogacy.

Italian couples who travel abroad to seek surrogates will now be imprisoned for at least two years or face a fine of €1 million under a new law that will eliminate “procreative tourism”.
Good.

Surrogacy has been banned in Italy for nearly 20 years and the country’s hard-right Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni strives to extend that prohibition to couples who want to have [buy] a child in countries like US, India and Canada.

The proposed law said, “The penalties should apply for offences committed abroad.”

Backers of the new legislation say through surrogacy babies were being treated as “merchandise” and that the birthing technique is an “execrable example of the commercialisation of the female body”.

.. .wait for it ...

The new law, which has found support from two politicians of Meloni’s Brothers of Italy Party, will also ban gay Italian couples from trying to have kids outside the country.

Just to be clear, the new law bans ALL COUPLES from traveling abroad to exploit women just because you want a baby.

The supporters also said there had been a “dramatic” increase in “procreative tourism” in recent years.

“The recourse to this practice has dramatically increased and surrogacy is becoming a veritable business which, just to give an example, is €2 billion a year in India,” the supporters said while presenting the draft law.

According to party members surrogate mothers in India charge $25,000 to $30,000 while those in US charge around $50,000.

Before she became Italy’s first female prime minister, Meloni said, “A uterus for rent is a commercialisation of women’s bodies and human life.”

She also said that seeking out help from a surrogate mother should be considered a “universal crime”.

According to the president of Rainbow Families – an organisation that supports gay and lesbian couples – once the parliament passes the law, couples with babies born to a surrogate mother will likely be arrested at airports on their return to Italy.

2023.03.22 23:48 Severe-Cucumber2813 How to not give a fuck about homphobia?

I am a gay man that live in a very homphobic country. like literally every month there are at least 2 compagines against gay people. They often get to my nerves and give me anxiety and depression when I see something like this which made me seek therapy but the therapist wasn't gay friendly too and recommend convertion thearpy. that change a little after, I cut off social media for some time , I did some achievements in life, I went out to socialize. It got better but hearing homphobic comments from someone I love or even on social media still bothers me a lot. I have fairly good romantic life this is almost the only downside of me being gay and I think it'd be a lot easier for me if I just don't take things personally and if I didn't give a fuck about people's opinion.

2023.03.22 23:46 red-0405 27 [M4F] A QUEST FOR "GENUINE CONNECTION"

Once upon a time, there was a tall, nerd, and not-much attractive guy pero pwede na who woke up one morning, looked at the sky, and thought, "Well, this sucks." He knew there was only one solution - to turn to the all-knowing oracle of modern dating: Fucking Reddit..
With his trusty cup of coffee in hand, he set out to find someone who shared his thirst for knowledge, someone who could keep up with his nerdy quirks, and someone who he could eventually take on 'friendly' dates (whatever that means). He wasn't in a rush to jump into anything too serious too soon, but he knew that someday, he wanted to find someone he could build a meaningful and caring relationship with.
So if you're a fellow lover of coffee, learning, and all things nerdy, this tall drink of water might just be the partner in crime you've been looking for. Dating at times feel like a job hunt doesn't it? So I thought it’d be fun to write it in a mock format just like a resume! LOL
