I posted this to my Facebook as I posted Tate-related content there and upset but also pleased a few people so I wanted to make my mindset adjustment public. I'm gonna copy and paste it here with some extra stuff that I didn't want to say on my Facebook because it would shit-stirr my family but I truly want to get it off my chest a day spread my message.
After taking plenty of time to think about it. I've decided that I am no longer a supporter of Tate. When you're just another one of the many young man outcasted by society, having your masculinity blamed for everything wrong in your life, bullied by the popular kids in school, never having a girlfriend and being blamed for all of those things, it's easy to see why I fell for his trap.
Having already left Incels and decided I want to try to improve instead of just giving up, I saw a man who told you it's okay to be masculine, it's okay to want the hot chicks, it's okay to want to drive sports cars, it's okay to want to be rich, it's okay to want submissive wives, it's okay to want to fight, it's okay to be a man! It's very hard not to be drawn to it in a world that tells you these things are toxic and will keep you celibate, that this is the reason women aren't attracted to you. Tate comes along with his 4 wives, videos of him with women in bikinis, his big muscular physique, his hundreds of millions of dollars and his 4 world kick-boxing champion belts to prove that notion wrong.

It's hard to argue with that point. The answer is because being a misogynist doesn't stop you from being attractive.
But, that doesn't excuse it. Tate knows with his money, status, physique, influence, accolades and confidence that he can still have a plethora of shallow women at his disposal and still get away with spewing his sexist vitriol.

Most women will say that you need to be a feminist or you will stay single and that self-improvement is cringe. But just laught it off, it doesn't matter. And no you don't have to be a feminist either. You can just be a respectful person who doesn't want to divert women's rights they are entitled to in the modern day.
The reason us sexless, emasculated, envious, unloved men felt compelled to him is because he offered a way out. A way out of the deception that you have to be feminine, emotional and deceived by fourth wave feminism to be accepted in society and have women attracted to you. This is a lie. When these young men fall for this lie, it becomes hard not to be angry and resentful when women do not act the way our parents, the education system and the media tells us they do. That they don't like the assholes, the bullies, the jocks, and yes... the MISOGYNISTS. We were told just being a nice guy who respects women is enough.
When this lie unravels, many unfortunately go one of 2 routes:
The red pill- Aiming for self-improvement and maximisation in every metric of your value(nothing wrong with that). But unfortunately then using this to control the women in your life and preach oppression to make things the way they used to be.
The black pill- Where men convince each other that they will never be able to obtain sex/relationships no matter what and their situation is inescapable, to just give up. Some of which tell others to rape women; some of which do. Some of which tell others to commit mass shootings; Some of which do.
Many men have now left the black pill because of Tate which is great and it is better they idolise him than murderers like Elliot Rodger and Alek Minassian or content creators like EggWhite and WheatWaffles. Some never were black-pilled but admire Tate for preaching masculinity and stoicism in a world that demonizes it. I will reiterate to those men- YOU CAN DO SO WITHOUT DEMEANING WOMEN
So why does Tate do this? 2 reasons:
"Do what needs to be done regardless of how you feel"
Beat Tate at his own game! Self-improve, do the hard work even if you don't feel like it! But draw the line with the misogyny because wven thought it FEELS tempting, comforting and easy to do so, doesn't mean you should. Having that said, it is painful for me to acknowledge I was wrong and deceived by this evil genius. It's also very satisfying to know that a certain someone was seeing me support ideologies I knew would never be approved of and that the brainwashing, abuse and manipulation I was subjected to wasn't working. I wanted to stick it to you and show you how wrong you were for trying to strip me of my masculinity. I hate that you will be releived I am moving on and respecting women and that you will feel justified in the way you treated me. But:

The "certain someone" was my mother. She made me sleep with her until I was 14, walked around naked in front of me and encouraged me to do the same. She would tell me my penis was big when it is in fact under-average. She used to constantly make small-penis jokes, say misogynists, show-offs and even rapists were projecting their small dick insecurity. She also told me my bullies had small dicks. This hurt when I realised I had one myself but she wouldn't listen and insisted me it was above average for my age and I'm still growing. My father on the other hand would open the door on me in the shower, wave his finger at me with a stupid smile and tell me I will never impress any girls with a small one. I of course didn't wanna say this on my Facebook with my real identity and my sister thinks my Mum is some kind of saint who can do no wrong and nags me for a justification for ghosting her and I obviously don't want to provide the details because a; I have to admit I have a small penis in order to do so and b; I know I will probably be accused of lying or just gaslight me and say it's all in my head.
The worst thing she ever did was when I told her this 13 year old disabled girl had a crush ok me and I was being bullied for it so she told me "I don't think I can trust you to not have sex with her. You have high testosterone and are treating girls like sex-objects." This is difficult to say but I remember never loving my mother again after she accused me of being a paedophile who would take advantage of a disabled THIRTEEN year old girl.
We suspect she has Munchausen Syndrome and she told me I was sick my whole life with things I wasn't. Every morning I had to wake up and drink celery juice with no breakfast be cause she was convinced I was poisoned with toxins I was given at the hospital as a baby after I got bitten by our cat.
She told me I was gluten and dairy intolerant, I have since eaten these things and am fine.
I had developmental echolalia throughout my adolescence(if you don't know, similar to Tourette's syndrome, causes involuntry ticks and is common in autistic pubsescents). Both my parents and my sister told me I was doing it for attention and I could control it. I would get bullied in school for it and they would continue to tell me I could control it or to just "cover my mouth" when I do it.
She told me that my sexual urges were unnatural and for a "boy like me", I should not be "Seeing women as sex objects": This was her reaction to me telling her I would get erections and sometimes ejaculate when I saw sexy women in skimpy clothing and I tried to refuse going to the beach because of the women in bikinis but she would still force me to. I would usually rub one out before leaving if I had time or try to go in the water until the boner went down.
She also assured me before high-school that because I'm so handsome and "wasn't like the other boys"(respectful gentleman she apparently raised me to be) that I would be very popular with all the girls. When this didn't happen, she said it was because I must street them like sex objects.
She told me I was "addicted to masturbating": Apparently 4-5 times a day was addiction which in reality is just normal all teenaged boy stuff.
I explained that I was attracted to the hot women and not the nerdy ones like she told me to be and asked why this was. She told me it was because I had entitlement problems and it was due to my high testosterone. She said to avoid the hot ones because they are "too much drama" and that no matter what my girlfriend looks like, I will enjoy sex with her just as much because the emotattraction is what counts and hit girls will only manipulate me and take me away from her.
Because of this she would cry and hug me, telling me I was going to grow up to be a suicidal sex addict. She then went to the adult store and bought me a fleshlight as per my father and his friend's suggestion. She told me it would satisfy my urges and stop the spontaneous ejaculatiobs in public. I told her it wasn't do she threw it out and kept buying different variants, tryto find tge one that would work. None of course did.
She would tell me I needed to be saved to prevent myself from taking advantage of all the women with bad fathers who would want to sleep with me and I couldn't resist it because my testosterone was too high. Why do you want to be a misogynist who abuses women? I could never deal with losing my boy, so please get the help you need.
She then took me to accupunctural therapists to give me treatment for hypersexuals that constricts blood vessels to the genitals and would convince him to administer it by telling him the same bullshit she told me.
I now look at my small penis and hate her knowing that it could've been even just a little bit bigger if it weren't for her "treatment" and I will never forgive her for the physical and emotional damage she caused me. There is so much more I could get in to about how she and my father too abused me but it's gonna be too long.
I always get worried when I see mothers who say they want their son to be "different".
"I don't want him to rape, be a patriarch, stalk women who reject him, embrace his emotional side, be attracted to strong and independent women" etc.
To those mothers. I am warning you, allow your son to embrace his masculinity, teach him to be stoic, if he has a father figure, let him influence him as an adolescent, let him be attracted to who he is attracted to. Don't be like my mother or he will resent you, he will he scarred for what you do.

Ladies!! How do y’all prevent and manage your ovarian cysts from growing back?? For reference, im a 21yr female, no kids. Back in January 2022, i had chronic pain in my lower back that radiated towards my lower abdomen. I have a high pain tolerance so im not one to just go to the ER for no reason. After 9 tests, they discovered I had a 7cm cyst on my left ovary and a 4cm on my right ovary. They believed I needed emergency surgery for it. Luckily, it was laparoscopic so my healing was great. I got no answers as to why I’m growing these cysts or how to treat them. All my gyne’s did was shove hormonal BC down my throat (I’ve been on BC since I was 15yo). I believe it’s the hormonal imbalance from my BC that’s causing my cysts but my doctors reassured me that it wasn’t my BC.
Fast forward to June 2022, i got off my BC and this pain is back and it’s worse. I went to the ER once again and my cyst had grown to 9cm on my left, and a 4cm on my right ovary. I literally couldn’t believe it.. they grew back so fast, even bigger this time. Fourtnely these ones weren’t causing me too much pain so I didn’t want surgery right away.. they tested me for ovarian cancer and that came back negative. I seen an amazing specialist here in San Jose in September 2022 and man he did wonders! He gave me this shot that made me ovulate and my cysts shrunk from a 9cm to a 3cm literally over night. Ultimately he told me my eggs can’t get through my fallopian tubes all the way thus causing my cysts. He prescribed a higher dose of BC to prevent me from ovulating all together.
Fast forward again to April 1, 2023, i landed right back into the ER. My cysts went from a 3cm to a 13cm on my left ovary. Man I was so discouraged and heartbroken. I had surgery a few days ago now and they didn’t see any endometriosis. So here I am, looking on ways to prevent them from growing. My medical bills keep piling up, i can’t keep getting this surgery every year!! ): If you know any home remedies or anything please let me know.. TOA🫶

This is some feedback for Specter support. I also posted it on the forums but I'd really like if Anet would consider some things, so posting here for more visibility. I'll be talking a lot about PvE Shadow Arts changes and Specter's hampered potential for healing. I tried to highlight in bold some main issues. I'm not great with reddit formatting sorry!
Starting with the June 28th patch in 2022.
Shadow Arts' healing capabilities were significantly nerfed in last years June 28th balance patch. Merciful ambush had the revive % boost removed. Even though it heals when entering and exiting stealth, Shadow Arts also had stealth access removed in the very same patch. ie. Heal skill no longer grants stealth. This gives less options for burst healing eg. with a well of sorrow + shadow squall combo. But potentially more importantly, stealth was indirectly nerfed through the removal of Hidden Thief's deception skill cd reduction. (this is regarding PvE only). This nerfed blinding powder and shadow refuge as group stealth utility options in PvE due to long cooldowns. Not only that but this change trickles down and nerfs any trait that would grant a benefit to stealthing allies (Panaku's Ambition, Cover of Shadows).
Usually when Anet removes utility cooldown reduction traits, the classes have those cooldown reductions baked into the skill type iteself. eg. Thief signets, Tricks, etc. Why are Deception skills an exception?(that rhymed hehe). Deception skill cooldown reduction was completely removed and received 0 compensation in PvE. Meaning shadow refuge and shadow step(with shadow saviour and traversing dusk) are not a good option with their long cooldowns. Do deception skills REALLY need such a long cd in PvE? Even Druid's glyph of the stars is only 48 seconds nowadays and is effectively far stronger with stability worked in, in comparison to Thief's shadow refuge.
Upcoming June 27th Patch
Now the trait Shadestep is having the siphon rez removed through a trait rework. This was an incredibly fun ability, making you something like a lesser heal scourge and was a fantastic supporting option at the cost of some overall dps loss. I wish there was an explanation for this or some reasoning behind it because it makes no sense. Not that what we get with the Shadestep rework is bad, but did the siphon rez really need to be deleted?
I'm pumped for the alacrity and scepter targeting changes, though comedically according to the patch notes Specter apparently no longer grants alac lol, but I'm really not sure why Specter can't have solid trait synergy with Shadow Arts as a more heal focussed build or even have more healing options. All Specter effectively gets is consume shadows and healing from shadow steps. Honestly feels like since the EoD beta, healing options keep being taken away from SpecteThief and it's a real shame as this class has a lot of potential.

I’m gonna try to keep this short, but I have so many thoughts.
I grew up in a dysfunctional family. My mom was the “more” abusive one, but my dad was abusive too. Dad ended up getting full custody after their divorce as he was the breadwinner and my mom had more severe and obvious mental health issues. Long story short I was encouraged to hate my mom my entire life by my dad and kind of did? But as an adult looking back, starting to hate my dad actually. Haven’t spoken to him in 6+ months and not sure I ever want to speak to him again- Looking to this sub for thoughts/advice.
Mom abuse highlights- Would tell me I was a bad kid and bad sister to my brother (ages 6-11ish), spanked my brother and I with a wooden board that had holes drilled in it for “aerodynamics” and a face drawn on it names “the boss” (my dad witnessed and I guess condoned this), hit me and kicked me, on one occasion appx 11 years old I remember laying on the ground in a ball trying to protect myself while she kicked me, spit in my face, etc etc you get the idea. She would also frequently tote us kids around while high and sometimes even to her “friends” houses to get more drugs. She was also severely schizophrenic at times and delusional, which lead to a lot of issues. Ultimately she lost her limited custody with us when I was 12. I haven’t seen her since I was 14. She’s probably dead tbh.
Dad abuse highlights- Beat the living shit out of me with a belt when I was around 6 years old. Whipped me so hard that the backs of my legs were covered in welts and I cried so hard for hours that I hyperventilated. Told me my mom wanted him to be more of a disciplinarian as an explanation/“apology” (this was during their divorce). When I was 8/9 decided my room was too messy and it was unacceptable - Shoved my 4” bookcase over in a fit of rage- Dumping its contents on the floor and shattering some ceramic/glass items- Left me to clean it up. Ages 8-10, would leave my younger brother and I unsupervised with a creepy neighbor who 100% would let his dick hang out of his pants for us to see. We are VERY lucky nothing worse happened. In highschool, started dating questionable girlfriends and treated me poorly. I barely remember details because I was probably preoccupied with highschool, but I remember him being generally shitty to me. In college, continued to be shitty. Cut me off financially, but continued to claim me as dependent. Would do family trips near my college town with the whole fam except me (I would find out later they had been in my area and didn’t let me know). Fast forward- Found myself an abusive husband (🙄). My dad met him 2-3 times? One of those times I was opening up a christmas present with a pocket knife and abusive husband forcibly ripped it out of my hands against my will so I wouldn’t “hurt myself.” Dad witnessed it, didn’t ever mention it or ask if I was okay. My dad decided abusive husband was in charge of me and would then text him things about me instead of speaking to me directly. When I confronted him about it “why are you texting him when you don’t even know him? he’s not in charge of me. text me… your daughter…” he absolutely LOST IT. Literally screamed at me, called me a bitch, terrible daughter, he’s so lucky to have my brother because I’m so worthless, etc etc. Immediately after that phone call, I texted him and told him I would absolutely not be spoken to like that or treated that way and that was the end of our relationship. We were out of contact for a few months and then he texted me out of the blue one day like nothing had ever happened.
After that… It’s been about 6-7 years of a “normal-ish” relationship where I force myself to go home for holidays and cosplay normal family. I have literally been forcing myself to do it because “it’s the only family I have.” We also would occasionally text or talk on the phone.
I divorced abusive husband after 2 years (go me, finally a win), took a few years off from serious dating while I went to therapy (another win), and have now been in a new, happy, healthy relationship with a supportive and lovely partner for years (the ultimate win, god I hope it’s forever).
Which brings me to… Christmas 2022 I did the old “have to do this” and went to my hometown for a day with my boyfriend to do Christmas at my dads. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to crawl out of my skin. I literally felt repulsed being at my old house. It felt so unnatural and wrong. He has photos of my brother and I plastered everywhere and in so many of them we look dead eyed and miserable because we were surviving abuse… We both have CPTSD symptoms that can show up as ADHD, etc.
So… I find myself thinking “but there are good memories too” “he took you on trips” whatever. But I honestly don’t think I want relationship with him. I’ve been so happy for the last 6 months not talking to him. I’m also doing EMDR soon and hope it helps with this.
Any thoughts/advice appreciated ❤️.

2023.06.10 06:22 Snigaroo KOTOR 1 & 2 Mod Builds: Fully Compatible, Modular Mod Compilations. Spoiler-Free Builds Included! Plus Mobile Support for iOS and Android!
If you do nothing else, PLEASE read the 'Instructions' section before continuing on to the mod lists!
New users run the risk of having content spoiled for them otherwise, and all users need to read the special installation instructions listed here to install the mod builds properly!If you've always wanted to mod KOTOR 1 or 2 but have been hesitant--which mods are good, which are compatible?--this resource is here to help.
For over a decade I've worked with the mod community, collating and managing modular packages of compatible mods which I refer to as "mod builds." The goal behind these builds is to find the best KOTOR mods and present them as a fully-compatible & modular archive, allowing users to pick-and-choose the mods they want from a large, vanilla-friendly selection with minimum hassle and no fears of incompatibility. That said, I have never skimped on quality in return for quantity; all mods listed in this thread are lore-friendly, and no mod which significantly alters or interrupts the vanilla experience has been considered for inclusion. The goal for these mod builds is an improvement of the vanilla experience rather than the creation of a new experience.
The builds for both games are divided into Full builds and Spoiler-Free builds. These spoiler-free builds contain mods with censored readmes, to prevent the player from accidentally being spoiled, so even if you are a brand-new player you can still enjoy bugfixes, updated graphics, and most of the full build's added content free of any risk. Most, because the spoiler-free builds also lack mods which have the potential to alter the game's balance from what BioWare/Obsidian intended, to ensure that your first playthrough is the most pure vanilla-plus experience possible.
There are also builds for both games designed to work on mobile devices, containing all the content of their Full or Spoiler-Free counterparts, but without any extremely large or graphically intensive content which could cause issues while running on mobile. This allows users to experience bugfixes, mechanics improvements, added content and some small-scale graphical improvements without risk of your device catching fire.
Each build is modular in nature, meaning that most mods aren't reliant upon one another to function. Because of this, you can choose to either use everything I list, or to pick and choose what you prefer for a personalized experience. You are also, of course, welcome to add additional mods on top of these builds, and although I cannot guarantee their compatibility I would be happy to work with any user to maximize their chances of creating a compatible build.
If the above has sold you, then by all means, please continue down to the Instructions section. But I understand why it might not have; after all, a premise is all fine and well, but does it deliver?
If you want some additional convincing, I invite you to take a look at this quick list of bullet-points about what the mod builds offer, and why those offerings are unique.
In the section below are eight links. Simply choose the game, content package, and platform you'd like and you're set!
As for actually installing these mods, there are a few simple rules to follow:
- Create a deadlystream and nexusmods account. Deadlystream--our main host for KOTOR mods--has a download speed limit for users without an account (which is free). The Nexus has an actual file size limit without an account, so you'll need a Nexus account to download some files.
- Install the mods in the order you are presented with them. If you fail to do this, you risk running into bugs, many quite significant. Note that you'll still encounter some warnings on installer mods even when doing this, but those warnings are normal (errors, however, are not). If you want to add new mods which aren't included in these lists to a build, you should reach out to me so we can work together to create an installation order which is stable for you.
- Don't attempt to continue an old save after installing these mods. Unless they're just texture files which do not contain files of the .2da filetype, once your game is modded any previous saves you have should be treated as incompatible.
- If you are intending to use any content not included in the mod builds, search for and identify that content BEFORE installing the builds! Certain mods have install steps or overwrite requirements that will necessitate you installing them midway through the mod build install, so if you want to use content outside the builds, you should identify that content before you start your install.
- Do not use the Nexus's Vortex Mod Manager with either build, or the Steam Workshop alongside the KOTOR 2 mod build! Don't even use a Workshop version of one of the mods present in the KOTOR 2 builds! Both systems have trouble properly functioning with KOTOR mods; you can read more about why this is for the Workshop here.
- Be mindful of what mods work with non-English versions of the game. If you are not playing in English, only some mods will be compatible with your game version. Each mod lists whether it is compatible with non-English versions or not, and you will need to either play in English or skip several mods. There's nothing that we can do about this; most mods which modify dialogue only support English. Please also bear in mind that you need to select the language you intend to play in before installing these mods, and CANNOT change your chosen language after you have completed your install (doing so will overwrite many of the mod files downloaded here).
- Keep an eye on mod categories and tiers to get an idea of what a mod does and how important I believe it is to use that mod. This is especially important for users of the Spoiler-Free builds, where information will sometimes necessarily be very vague, but it's also helpful for users who don't intend to use the entirety of one of the Full builds. Each mod has a category and a tier, the former of which clarifies the types of changes the mod makes, and the latter of which, on a scale of 1-4, clarifies how important I believe the mod is for getting the best possible experience out of the game. Using this information, you can better judge what mods you would like to use and what you can safely ignore in the course of your build installation.
- If you are not installing on a Windows OS, keep this card in mind, as it goes over the various install types present in the builds and will help you determine what mods will be easy to install on your OS, and which might need special support (for instance, using a wrapper to install .exe files on Mac OS).
- Follow installation instructions, mine when I provide special instructions and the mod creator's when I have no word to put in. Most of these mods are extremely easy to install, but it's very important to make sure that none of the special install instructions are missed for the sake of mod compatibility.
- Keep track of master mods. Some mods require other mods to function, and thus the "master" mod cannot be removed if you want that mod in your build. In the build posts I will list when a mod has a master.
- Overwrite any files when prompted. Most of the mods in these builds are fully compatible, but some partially overwrites a part of another mod. These cases are where the install order matters; I have purposefully tailored the installation order so that mods that have compatibility issues are overwritten in the proper order for the game to function as intended, and for all of the changes we're making to be seamless.
- New users: be careful with readme files and descriptions! Even for mods that I've censored, there might still be minor spoilers in the readme, and this goes doubly for mods that have included screenshots or file descriptions on their hosting site. When reading about a mod, it's always an excellent rule of thumb to only read so much of the description--and view as few of the screenshots--as are necessary to make sure you know whether you want to use it or not, then the installation instructions (and nothing else).

- Merry Christmas! A new piece of restored content by JC, an alternate ending for DS characters who romance Carth, has been integrated!
- Several dozen new mods across both games.
- Several mods for KOTOR which also work for KOTOR 2 have now been integrated into the KOTOR 2 build list, to make the games more visually consistent across builds and improve overall graphical fidelity.
- Added information on all mods indicating how they are installed (loose-file, TSLPatcher, etc.) and whether or not they are compatible with non-English game versions. De facto, this now makes the builds compatible with non-English game versions, although for the moment, out of necessity, several mods must be skipped when not playing in English.

It was one thing after another. He was a gambling addict and often scammed people for money to cover his debts. The scams were sometimes simple, sometimes elaborate— like disney vouchers, or custom sweatshirts for his employees. He once told me he’d take me on a ski trip before we were together, and asked for my share of the money, only for me to put two and two together later as I observed his behavior that he scammed me. He was a pathological liar, and addicted to validation, and probably porn too, unable to abstain from following instagram models and girls on OF even when I asked him not to, or removing ex flings. I was never physically abused but every other abuse that could occur, did. He was constantly finding reasons to take money from me. He punched a wall once when he was angry because he found out I went on a date while we were broken up. He would berate me when I held him accountable to anything, he would have full mental breakdowns every time I tried to dump him only to treat me like shit when I forlornly returned to his side out of fear. I once simply gave him an attitude about how he never prioritizes me sexually, and he proceeded to f*nger me aggressively and with resentment in a way that didn’t feel good until I had to tell him to stop.
Even though I dumped him for the 3rd and last time in August of 2022 after 6 GRUELING months, I relapsed in November of that year and fell pregnant in December. Aside from everything mentioned prior as enough to choose to terminate, it was his reaction when I told him that sealed the deal. It was like a “gotcha”. It was almost funny to him. He had previously made jokes about putting a baby in me/baby-trapping me. They chilled me to my core and still, I was stuck in the abuse cycle.
Abortion was one of the worst, most heart-breaking things I have ever endured. I know I put myself there, and I kind of deserved it, but I would have done anything to keep my baby.
This weekend I discovered that he has a child with a girl in Seattle that he knocked up while he was stationed there during his Army service. He had a whole child already and was ready to make me baby mama #2 without telling me a damn thing about this child’s existence.
As one would expect, he played it off like he was “sensitive” about it and “no one knew besides his family”.
I have been disgusted by him many times, but this really drove home just how much I have been violated in this relationship. I’m so happy I left, but it has been difficult reliving all of this all over again.

This is probably gonna be lengthy because it’s been going on for awhile.
My (30F) husband (35M) has a relationship with a coworker that just makes my spidey-sense tingle.
For context, we've been together for almost 5 years and got in engaged in February 2020, right before Covid hit. And my husband started the job he is at now back in September 2020. He instantly clicked with one of the girls (he’s the only man in the office), let’s call her Molly, and couldn’t stand anyone else. At first, I had no issues towards her, not even when she mentioned to him that she was gonna “creep” my facebook. Or when she would just always compliment my eyebrows, only my eyebrows, asking whether I got them done, or I do them myself.
Flash forward to May 2021, and we were on vacation with my sister and her fiancé, starting to plan our destination wedding. The whole time we were out planning, he would be snap chatting her, and at one point he snapped a picture of my sister (we look nothing alike), and she asked him if it was his fiancé or her sister, which I thought was kinda weird for someone who said they were gonna creep someone’s social media, or just for the fact that I knew he showed her a picture of me before (our engagement photos) But it wasn’t weird enough I really thought anything of it.
In August 2021, I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant, so we decided to have our wedding a whole year early. In September 2021, I was hospitalized for 4 days, with an infection that if the antibiotics didn’t work and I ended up needing surgery, I would have lost the pregnancy. 4 days I sat in the hospital by myself, even though he was off of work. My husband (then fiancé) only came to visit one of the days I was there, for a couple of hours, and the whole time he snap chatted Molly, and was asking me about my eyebrows, again. Didn’t even try to comfort me about the fact I had to turn my phone off because my family was bombarding me with messages of my dad’s infidelity.
We got married in October 2021, and it was a beautiful, last minute ceremony (I planned it all by myself without any input from him), that he really wanted to do before the baby came. Toward the end of October, we went to see a professional hockey game since my boss offered us tickets right on the ice by the team. As we were there, he was telling me one of his friends was also there, and he showed me a Snapchat his friend sent him. Once that Snapchat finished, it went back to his inbox of messages and I seen his coworker wrote him. He didn’t open it while I was looking, and I as turned my attention back to the game, out of the corner of my eye I seen him turn his phone away from my view and start typing. I didn’t say anything until a couple days later and I asked if this was something I should worry about and he assured me it was nothing, and that she was even trying to convince her boyfriend to have a baby so I literally had nothing to worry about. I expressed it was weird that she was had to “convince” her long time boyfriend to have a baby, especially at the time I was pregnant. But, I let it go thinking it was just my hormones.
After this, I noticed he would be texting her or snapping her, even more outside of work. He gets out at 4:30, and would sometimes be texting her until 8:30-9:30pm. Eventually in late November, we traveled to see his favorite football team. I got him super good seats, that were expensive, for his birthday, booked a hotel, and we made a weekend of it. This time when I seen his Snapchat, I noticed they were best friends on there. And that was just a huge red flag for me.
The following night, after we got home, I asked him about her being his best friend on Snapchat and expressed how uncomfortable it made me, and expressed that I’ve had this feeling in the past and brushed it off and I was actually right about the situation. He told me I couldn’t take my past out on him. That he would never cheat on me. I asked him to delete her off Snapchat and only converse with her where the messages could be recorded (text message and g-chat at work). He said he would just delete his whole Snapchat account. Now, my husband is super outgoing and really likes his social media so this felt weird to me, and I told him it was strange he’d to go to such an extent for a coworker. I also told him I didn’t want him bringing her up to me at any time (he talked about her a lot). He also posted a picture of me to social media that weekend with a cowboy filter, mentioning “sometimes I’m his wife, sometimes a cowboy, but I’ll always be his baby mama”. Molly commented on the post and emphasized “always be your baby mama” with laughing emojis, which my husband reacted with a laughing emoji too. Even though I expressed in the past how I felt about being called his baby mama (I don’t like it), and one of the reasons he pushed to get married before the baby was born was because he promised his grandma he wouldn’t have a kid before marriage. I’m not only the mother of his child, but his wife, and by calling me his baby mama, I feel like he’s down playing my role in his life.
We got into an argument about it all and didnt talk for a few days. We work opposite schedules, so instead of going to stay with my parents and having to answer questions, I would avoid the times we would be at home together because I needed some space. Eventually he texted me to apologize, and said that I need to trust him. That he would never cheat on me. I told him no one thinks they’re gonna cheat, and he don’t know how he would react when put into that situation, but I would like him to avoid even being put into that situation where it’s a possibility since our bodies do have physiological reactions, and I have experienced that before personally. He told me he would delete her off Snapchat and only talk to her through text or g-chat so if I wanted to read the messages I could. That he never meant to make me feel like he was prioritizing her, and didn’t stop to think how he’d feel if the roles were reversed.
I never asked if he deleted her off Snapchat, I figured I should at least trust him to do what he says. But I have gone through his messages with her and most of it is innocent. There was one message where she took a screenshot of her conversation with one of the techs where she asked him to take her for a ride in his corvette, and she sent it to my husband and said “look who asked me out”. My husband asked her “isn’t he married”, and she responded “don’t tell anyone though”.
My husband knows I have gone through his phone, like he told me I could, but has made indirect comments about how nobody should go through their SO phone. Relationships are all about trust, etc. he also snap chatted me a picture of all the conversations he had going with the office girls on g-chat, and I noticed Molly’s history was turned off. I asked him if he knew this and he said “lol yeah”. After a few months of not bringing her up, and sneaking away to text her back instead of doing it in front me (like going to the bathroom, or stopping in the middle of walking to type), then he started to casually bring her back into our conversations again.
In April 2022 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had to have an emergency c-section, so once the baby came out, I told my husband to go with her and the nurses. A couple of weeks after, my gut told me to check his messages. I did and I seen he sent a picture of my baby to Molly 10 minutes after she was born, after he sent it in a group chat to his parents and sister. She got a picture before my parents and siblings. She got a picture while I was still cut open on the table and I didn’t even get to see my until 5 minutes after he sent Molly the picture. When I asked why he sent her a picture 10 minutes after she was born, he said “because she asked for one”. My baby was also born late at night. This was the hardest part to swallow. He only knew this girl for a year and half, and she was so important that she got pictures immediately? After the most important people of in his life? He didn’t even send pictures to his best friend that he’s been friends with for over 20 years, until late the next morning.
While I was on maternity leave, his manager asked him to work a half hour later to close on the days his “bff” (what his manager called Molly) had to close. I told him this made me uncomfortable, them being alone for a half hour, and that his manager knew he wouldn’t say no to closing just because it was with her. This entire 1st year of postpartum, I definitely feel like we’ve grown apart in our relationship. Of course we’re navigating being new to parenthood, but it just seems like he’s always angry with me. Making snide remarks. Giving me dirty looks. And still just coming home talking about Molly.
I finally got to meet Molly at his work holiday party, and it was completely awkward. Not only did she barely say hi to me, she almost didn’t even shake my hand i had extended out to her, but her boyfriend treated my husband coldly (he normally makes friend with everyone, anywhere he goes). We put our jackets to sit by them, and went around to mingle some more, and she let someone move them so we couldn’t sit by them, and then they ended up leaving extra early. The vibes were just totally off.
The most recent incidence was he was talking to our daughter, and I was listening and made a comment about something he said and he told my daughter that I’m always eavesdropping and reading. I asked what he meant, and he said “you know, since you read through my messages”, and I told him to ask me the last time I went through his messages, so he did, and I told him that I haven’t since a couple weeks after my baby was born. He said this was shocking and he didn’t know if it was a good thing or not that I trust him.
This also isn’t the first issue we’ve had over a coworker. My (30F) husband (35M) has a relationship with a coworker that just makes my spidey-sense tingle.
For context, we've been together for almost 5 years and got in engaged in February 2020, right before Covid hit. And my husband started the job he is at now back in September 2020. He instantly clicked with one of the girls (he’s the only man in the office), let’s call her Molly, and couldn’t stand anyone else. At first, I had no issues towards her, not even when she mentioned to him that she was gonna “creep” my facebook. Or when she would just always compliment my eyebrows, only my eyebrows, asking whether I got them done, or I do them myself.
Flash forward to May 2021, and we were on vacation with my sister and her fiancé, starting to plan our destination wedding. The whole time we were out planning, he would be snap chatting her, and at one point he snapped a picture of my sister (we look nothing alike), and she asked him if it was his fiancé or her sister, which I thought was kinda weird for someone who said they were gonna creep someone’s social media, or just for the fact that I knew he showed her a picture of me before (our engagement photos) But it wasn’t weird enough I really thought anything of it.
In August 2021, I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant, so we decided to have our wedding a whole year early. In September 2021, I was hospitalized for 4 days, with an infection that if the antibiotics didn’t work and I ended up needing surgery, I would have lost the pregnancy. 4 days I sat in the hospital by myself, even though he was off of work. My husband (then fiancé) only came to visit one of the days I was there, for a couple of hours, and the whole time he snap chatted Molly, and was asking me about my eyebrows, again. Didn’t even try to comfort me about the fact I had to turn my phone off because my family was bombarding me with messages of my dad’s infidelity.
We got married in October 2021, and it was a beautiful, last minute ceremony (I planned it all by myself without any input from him), that he really wanted to do before the baby came. Toward the end of October, we went to see a professional hockey game since my boss offered us tickets right on the ice by the team. As we were there, he was telling me one of his friends was also there, and he showed me a Snapchat his friend sent him. Once that Snapchat finished, it went back to his inbox of messages and I seen his coworker wrote him. He didn’t open it while I was looking, and I as turned my attention back to the game, out of the corner of my eye I seen him turn his phone away from my view and start typing. I didn’t say anything until a couple days later and I asked if this was something I should worry about and he assured me it was nothing, and that she was even trying to convince her boyfriend to have a baby so I literally had nothing to worry about. I expressed it was weird that she was had to “convince” her long time boyfriend to have a baby, especially at the time I was pregnant. But, I let it go thinking it was just my hormones.
After this, I noticed he would be texting her or snapping her, even more outside of work. He gets out at 4:30, and would sometimes be texting her until 8:30-9:30pm. Eventually in late November, we traveled to see his favorite football team. I got him super good seats, that were expensive, for his birthday, booked a hotel, and we made a weekend of it. This time when I seen his Snapchat, I noticed they were best friends on there. And that was just a huge red flag for me.
The following night, after we got home, I asked him about her being his best friend on Snapchat and expressed how uncomfortable it made me, and expressed that I’ve had this feeling in the past and brushed it off and I was actually right about the situation. He told me I couldn’t take my past out on him. That he would never cheat on me. I asked him to delete her off Snapchat and only converse with her where the messages could be recorded (text message and g-chat at work). He said he would just delete his whole Snapchat account. Now, my husband is super outgoing and really likes his social media so this felt weird to me, and I told him it was strange he’d to go to such an extent for a coworker. I also told him I didn’t want him bringing her up to me at any time (he talked about her a lot). He also posted a picture of me to social media that weekend with a cowboy filter, mentioning “sometimes I’m his wife, sometimes a cowboy, but I’ll always be his baby mama”. Molly commented on the post and emphasized “always be your baby mama” with laughing emojis, which my husband reacted with a laughing emoji too. Even though I expressed in the past how I felt about being called his baby mama (I don’t like it), and one of the reasons he pushed to get married before the baby was born was because he promised his grandma he wouldn’t have a kid before marriage. I’m not only the mother of his child, but his wife, and by calling me his baby mama, I feel like he’s down playing my role in his life.
We got into an argument about it all and didnt talk for a few days. We work opposite schedules, so instead of going to stay with my parents and having to answer questions, I would avoid the times we would be at home together because I needed some space. Eventually he texted me to apologize, and said that I need to trust him. That he would never cheat on me. I told him no one thinks they’re gonna cheat, and he don’t know how he would react when put into that situation, but I would like him to avoid even being put into that situation where it’s a possibility since our bodies do have physiological reactions, and I have experienced that before personally. He told me he would delete her off Snapchat and only talk to her through text or g-chat so if I wanted to read the messages I could. That he never meant to make me feel like he was prioritizing her, and didn’t stop to think how he’d feel if the roles were reversed.
I never asked if he deleted her off Snapchat, I figured I should at least trust him to do what he says. But I have gone through his messages with her and most of it is innocent. There was one message where she took a screenshot of her conversation with one of the techs where she asked him to take her for a ride in his corvette, and she sent it to my husband and said “look who asked me out”. My husband asked her “isn’t he married”, and she responded “don’t tell anyone though”.
My husband knows I have gone through his phone, like he told me I could, but has made indirect comments about how nobody should go through their SO phone. Relationships are all about trust, etc. he also snap chatted me a picture of all the conversations he had going with the office girls on g-chat, and I noticed Molly’s history was turned off. I asked him if he knew this and he said “lol yeah”. After a few months of not bringing her up, and sneaking away to text her back instead of doing it in front me (like going to the bathroom, or stopping in the middle of walking to type), then he started to casually bring her back into our conversations again.
In April 2022 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had to have an emergency c-section, so once the baby came out, I told my husband to go with her and the nurses. A couple of weeks after, my gut told me to check his messages. I did and I seen he sent a picture of my baby to Molly 10 minutes after she was born, after he sent it in a group chat to his parents and sister. She got a picture before my parents and siblings. She got a picture while I was still cut open on the table and I didn’t even get to see my until 5 minutes after he sent Molly the picture. When I asked why he sent her a picture 10 minutes after she was born, he said “because she asked for one”. My baby was also born late at night. This was the hardest part to swallow. He only knew this girl for a year and half, and she was so important that she got pictures immediately? After the most important people of in his life? He didn’t even send pictures to his best friend that he’s been friends with for over 20 years, until late the next morning.
While I was on maternity leave, his manager asked him to work a half hour later to close on the days his “bff” (what his manager called Molly) had to close. I told him this made me uncomfortable, them being alone for a half hour, and that his manager knew he wouldn’t say no to closing just because it was with her. This entire 1st year of postpartum, I definitely feel like we’ve grown apart in our relationship. Of course we’re navigating being new to parenthood, but it just seems like he’s always angry with me. Making snide remarks. Giving me dirty looks. And still just coming home talking about Molly.
I finally got to meet Molly at his work holiday party, and it was completely awkward. Not only did she barely say hi to me, she almost didn’t even shake my hand i had extended out to her, but her boyfriend treated my husband coldly (he normally makes friend with everyone, anywhere he goes). We put our jackets to sit by them, and went around to mingle some more, and she let someone move them so we couldn’t sit by them, and then they ended up leaving extra early. The vibes were just totally off.
The most recent incidence was he was talking to our daughter, and I was listening and made a comment about something he said and he told my daughter that I’m always eavesdropping and reading. I asked what he meant, and he said “you know, since you read through my messages”, and I told him to ask me the last time I went through his messages, so he did, and I told him that I haven’t since a couple weeks after my baby was born. He said this was shocking and he didn’t know if it was a good thing or not that I trust him.

Wanted to share a success with upgrading our Cathay Pacific flight from Economy to Business J on HKG-DPS within 4 days of departure, and hope others can gain from it.
6 Months Out
Booked CX LAX-HKG-DPS back in Dec 2022 (bonus being bookings made prior to Jan 2023 have no change fee, as the CX agent happily told me!), with LAX-HKG in PE and HKG-DPS in Economy. We booked using 55,000 Asia Miles each pax (CX's own website said it would only be 45,000 for the entire trip, but due to technical difficulties I had to book via CX call center and the booking agent could only come up with this. I suspect he somehow booked each leg separately and combined them into one reference #, as HKG-DPS in Y is only 10,000 Asia Miles, which is the exact difference from website to call center...).
1 Month Out
Bided our time until a month out, and got the itch to upgrade to J after seeing all the videos online as Cathay reopened their service and HKIA lounges. Using the v3 Unelevated Plugin was really, really helpful - it was able to run availability for the next 20 days, and gave me exact numbers of award seats available without having to pay extra for ExpertFlyer. Award availability however only went up to 1 J for our specific non-flexible date, and it only stayed for a few days before disappearing. Other days on Sunday/Tuesday often had 2 J or more.
1 Week Out
Based on what I saw via v3 Unelevated, looked like Cathay was still releasing award seats 3-4 days close-in. So got my hopes up! I would check a few times a day, and for the last 3 days I saw 1 J on our travel date.
48 Hours (OLCI)
Today was 48 hours before check in, and tried to check-in to snag our economy seats for HKG-DPS. On a whim, I ran another search and found 3 J seats open! This was strange, as the official CX calendar still listed the date as a beige seat icon (which means only 1 J seat open). I still called CX call center, and after 30-40 minutes of processing agent confirmed our booking with 2 J! Best part was: the cost for Economy Y was 10,000 Asia Miles, while the Business J was 25,000 Asia Miles if booking that leg separately on CX. I calculated that we were thus 30,000 AM short - but the agent said I only needed 20,000 AM, so the cost of our leg in J ended up only being 20,000 AM per person! I quickly transferred the points from my Venture X and paid the fees online (they refunded the original fees to my card).
End: LAX-HKG in PE, and upgraded HKG-DPS to J for only 10,000 Asia Miles more per pax (effective cost 20,000 AM points). Hard to tell when this close-in, but with one-way J cost of $2900 ends up being 14.5 cents/mile. Very happy about this J redemption for a 5 hour flight with CX HKIA lounge access!
Takeaway
1) CX still releases seats at 330 day and close in within 2 weeks of flight; this may be more common on intra-Asia than transpacific.
2) The v3 Unelevated plugin works great, and is a way to see F/J/PE/Y seat availability without having to pay extra for ExpertFlyer.
3) While Asia Miles is not necessarily commonly used, it works great when it comes to award availability on CX, and it allows for great flexibility when rebooking for different legs or classes (since you're using CX's own metal rather than a partner airline).
4) I had CSP with >400K points on it, but more and more I'm digging the Venture X for their partnership with Asia Miles since UR doesn't transfer to Asia Miles. The sign-on bonuses allowed me to book this and treat dad on J in CX from SGN-HKG-SFO a few months ago. Didn't see enough value to get AmEx Platinum or Citi, so the VX hit the spot for me.
P.S.
5) Per CX Lounge Admittance, it states that "If you are travelling in different cabin classes within a single ticketed journey (e.g. from Singapore to Hong Kong in Business Class, and a connecting flight to Paris in Premium Economy), we will honour the highest class of travel (Business Class) for lounge entitlement\ throughout your whole journey to make it a comfortable one. Please note that this only applies to flights operated by Cathay Pacific*." Based on this - I'm going to try and get into the LAX Oneworld lounge even though we're only flying PE on CX! (We don't have status on OW, and PP is non-existent now post-COVID after the dismal KAL Lounge exited). Will update!

He’s a teacher and I’m a nurse, but during the pandemic my business took off and I/we became financially ok. I was so busy for 2 years I finally talked him into coming to work for me. The school system would give 3 day weekends for holidays and breaks, longer summers but a horrendous school year. He refused to start over the summer in 2022, so he started in August instead. That absolutely was a train wreck so now he lays around my house like a slug.
I am not respected nor have I been thanked for any of the sacrifices I’ve made to build this life for us. He is immature, only wants to play with his friends, drive around in his car or just be a complete slug and play video games while shooting fireballs. I’m hurt beyond measure for all that he’s done to me. He always sat back and watched me struggle, even fail and not provide any assistance to help me get back up.
He contributes to the house as follows: Does laundry and now puts my clothes away. He also cooks and goes to the grocery store now. He hired Lawncare and a housekeeper.
Everything else seems to be resting on my shoulders without any contribution from him. I’m very angry, hurt and resentful for how I feel I’ve been treated. He refuses to go to couples therapy and continues to anger me on a daily basis. To the point I cannot stand to look at his fucking face.

I want to use this post to encourage other teachers who are on the fence about leaving teaching and even doing it mid year. I was a technology elective teacher for 3.5 year. The school district I taught in is one of the larger ones in Texas.
I started in September 2019 so I was hired about a month after the school year had already started. The previous person who initially position quit during the in service days right before school started. This was my first time teaching.
The only "training" if you want to call it that is the horrible Texas Teachers alternative certification program which does not prepare new teachers for the realities of the classroom environment.
So my first day at the school I was expecting to be greeted by the principal who I never spoke with before being hired but I never met her until I sought her out myself on my 2nd day at the job which was a bit weird to me. Anyway since there wasn't a certified teacher for the elective that I taught for the 1st few weeks of school the computers in my class weren't setup with the software that i needed to successfully teach my class. The onsite technology support seemed to busy to help me with setting up the computers so luckily one of the counselors who taught my class previously told me how to re-image the computers so that I can install the programs on the computers that were needed for my class.
Me being a new teacher I just stayed an extra 3 hours after school just so I can setup the software and have the computers ready for students. Anyway as usual with teaching I find out that the district doesn't provide curriculum for my subject to use even though it is expected for my students to be able to pass a certification test for this program/ coding language at the end of the school year. Like most 1st year teachers I'm just surviving trying not to drown and then covid hits.
Well as you know student apathy was high before covid hit but during and after lockdowns it has reached unimaginable heights. So after years of having to document every intervention I had done for students who wouldn't even try, disrespect from students, having to teach a new subject every year, increased student class sizes, school security issues ( a student got shot on school property during lunch by another student) , lack of support from the administration and district level the burn out hit me hard . Then swat was called to my school because of a hoax shooting threat so when I was asked by the swat team to open my door so they could come in I am greeted with 4 long assault rifles pointed about 3 feet from my chest. That was the last straw. I was exhausted all the time no matter how long breaks were and I just had a constant feeling of I need to get out of teaching. My mental health took a nose dive and I stopped doing everything I enjoyed doing.
From thanksgiving break in 2022 till march 2023 I am mass applying for jobs. So around March I hear back from a government job in my county that I applied for. Accepting this job I would be taking a pay cut but I knew that mentally and physically I couldn't take much more of teaching with how terrible the state of education is now. So I sit down and I talked with my local union rep who is a veteran teacher of 30 years and he tells me that "I should take the new job" as he also came up with the same conclusion about the state of the education system as I have. So I accepted the new job and let my principal and appraiser know that in 2 weeks I would not be returning to the school. I did feel guilt as I was a main source of technical help of 2 older teachers who were in 2 classroom next to me as they also helped me during my years teaching and not to mention some students who I enjoyed but I was at the point where I couldn't take it anymore.
The principal was a bit shocked but she understood and agreed that I should take care of myself first but the district has a policy where any contract abandonment without specific reasons would be reported to the TEA and your contract will be subject to consequences. So my teaching certificate will be suspended for a year but I don't see myself returning to education unless there is a major overhaul and reform but there will not be any major changes done until it completely collapses like how the USA handles most problems.
So I have been working at this new job since March and I am way more happier than at anytime I was teaching. My energy levels are rising back to normal levels, I am treated with respect at my new job ,at 5pm I don't have to worry about dealing with anything work related until the next day or after the weekend and I have an option to work at home on some days during the week.
Understand that you will probably feel guilty about leaving your school, coworkers, students but at the end of the day education is in a terrible state. The workload is impossible and no matter how hard you try or what you do students lack of motivation and failure will be pinned on you. Lack of any meaningful training, support and depending on teachers to just to deal with it for the kids is why the teacher shortage is happening and continue to get worse.
If teachers truly want to change the state of education in the USA they have to make the system uncomfortable just like how they(teachers) are uncomfortable. Change does not happen when the machine is operating comfortably. Education will not be getting better any time soon so like my union rep encouraged me to leave I mirror his statement.

He broke up with me because he ‘doesn’t want to be a relationship with anyone right now’. He had always had commitment issues, until early 2022 after our break when he ‘came to his senses realised’ that he wanted me ‘forever’ and that he had decided to ‘choose’ me and ‘commit 100%’. He dumped me a year after making those promises, two weeks after he let me know that he was going to propose this year.
He is not seeing anyone. He is pursuing casual sex (unsuccessfully to my knowledge).
I bumped into him yesterday. I told him I missed him so much and wanted to try again. He said ‘no’. I said ‘does no mean never?’ and he said ‘yes’ and that he was happy being single and that he had realised our relationship had caused him a lot of stress. (We did not fight and were drama-free. Presume he is talking about the stress of long term committment.)
I find myself distraught. That man was was my best friend. I miss him every day and cry over him frequently, no matter how much I exercise or hang out with friends or date new men. And I have been doing all of those things a lot. I went from being super unfit to running half marathons and getting very toned. I’ve gone to therapy. I’ve been committed to improving my mental health. It makes no difference
I miss him more and more every day and I do not see any way out. I miss him so fucking much and I feel like there is no way forward.
I am fortunately conventionally attractive so have had no trouble getting dates. I’ve been on dates with and been pursued by men taller, more handsome, wealthier than my ex. Probably ones that would treat me better. None of it makes any difference. They do not seem like real people to me.
