Hi guys, I’m new to 3D printing and just received my ender 3 and every video I’ve googled is almost like a science equation. I didn’t realize that owning this required 14 years of rocket science engineering.
Anyways, I barely put this thing together- and I bought a CR Touch Auto Leveling Kit, but based on the videos I see, everyone is talking about doing a “z offset” before even leveling the bed. Problem is, only videos I’m finding for this is for the ender pro, and other versions. I only have the basic ender 3, and there is one video but the guy says “oh I have a video dedicated to the z offset in my link” which conveniently he does on the ender pro…
Can I just get help setting this thing up, you have NO idea how frustrated these last 3 days have been putting this thing together.
Edit: I was able to print like 5 things before I ran into a big issue that has put a COMPLETE hold on printing. Every time it starts printing now, the z offset is off again, the nozzle is digging into the plate, even after I’ve tried the “paper trick” 45 times. And also, it sounds like it’s breaking every time the plate moves with a specific “clicking noise” tbh, do I get rid of it at this point?

10. J. Willy’s: The exterior is so rundown, Gordon remarks it looks like it’s been closed for ten years. I suspect the building used to be some kind of chain restaurant the owners never bothered to remodel. The inside isn’t much better with its drab color scheme and worn carpet that looks like it was trampled on by a thousand buffalos.
9. Flamango’s: I hate the tacky tropical theme of this place. And how can you be positive about something you hate? The remodel wasn’t my favorite, but it was an improvement upon the tiki hellscape, that's for sure. And Adele is one of the worst owners imo—so rude and mean-spirited to everyone around her, even her own husband.
8. Fleming: The pink walls, old-fashioned decorative plates, out of place stained glass windows, petrified desserts on a counter right outside the bathroom. This place really does look like Grandma’s house, though I cannot recall if Gordon uses that line in the episode.
7. Zeke’s: Despite the owners’ belief to the contrary, the idea of eating in a swamp does not appeal to adults or children. The ugly green chairs only add to the humdrum ambiance, and the tables seem way too close together. Having to chow down on Oysters Cortello and Darryl’s week-old lasagna in that eyesore of a restaurant while Ellen meanders around with crossed arms with a snotty look on her face just doesn’t sound like a good time.
6. Casa Roma: If you like maroon tablecloths, booths stuffed with garbage, and biohazardous bathrooms, Casa Roma is the place for you. Or was, as it closed its doors nearly a decade ago. This establishment should never have existed in the first place, and it was obvious that no one who worked there gave two fucks about it.
5. Miss Jean’s Southern Cuisine: I love this episode, but I can’t deny this restaurant looks downright awful. Gordon compares the lobby to a doctor’s office, and the empty dessert display gives off a negative first impression. The dining room’s green walls and cafeteria-esque furniture make for a dismal atmosphere. And Miss Jean’s ancient exercise bike smack dab in the middle of the hallway is so random and unexpected.
4. Capri: One of the filthiest restaurants of the show. Ripped booths covered in duct tape and overflowing with bits of food, decaying wallpaper, grime-covered ceiling fans, countless wads of gum stuck underneath tables. There was simply no excuse for the state of Capri. I would not be shocked if it hadn’t been cleaned since 1963.
3. The Old Neighborhood: The mannequin in the lobby is creepy AF; the fact that the owners named it is even creepier. The chairs are broken, the upholstered booths stink to high heaven, and the restaurant is overflowing with junk thanks to owner Randy’s hoarding ways.
2. Fiesta Sunrise: Sombreros galore, repurposed menus, and a stuffed chili pepper named Manuel are the highlights of this sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant. If all that weren’t bad enough, the food is stored in garbage cans and the kitchen is crawling with cockroaches.
1. Dillon’s: This place has to be the biggest Kitchen Nightmare of all time. They must have put the sheets on the walls to hide all the cockroaches. The fact that this hellhole was open for any length of time does not reflect well upon the NYC health department, that’s for sure.

Have been building out a plate carrier for home defense / quick urban response for my AP5 build that I want to build out to a full kit. Has anyone done anything like this they’d be willing to share? Between the unique mag pouches and purpose compared to a SHTF full kit of an AR or AK, could be helpful to see what others have done.
Currently mine just consists of a cheap 3 mag pouch off Amazon, a light plate carrier, and saving up for an IFAK and tourniquets. Typical combat load is 6+1, so curious about getting another mag pouch or etc.
Anyone care to share their builds?

After the printing of the first edition of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith made changes to the subsequent editions. One of these changes is the same for four verses at the beginning of the book. In 1 Nephi, four verses were changed from reading as “God” by adding “the son of” in front of the title. I have provided each of the verses as they read today but put “the son of” in parentheses. Each of these verses would have read as if Jesus were God but it now reads as two separate beings.
18 "And he said unto me: Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of (the Son of) God, after the manner of the flesh."
21 "And the angel said unto me: Behold the Lamb of God, yea, even (the Son of) the Eternal Father! Knowest thou the meaning of the tree which thy father saw?"
32 "And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me again, saying: Look! And I looked and beheld the Lamb of God, that he was taken by the people; yea, (the Son of) the everlasting God was judged of the world; and I saw and bear record."

Some people see these changes as an indication that the theology of Joseph Smith was changing over time. Instead of a trinitarian view, he was shifting towards separate beings. Others disagree and see the changes as clarification only. FAIR discusses this change and both perspectives around the change.
"The earliest edition of the Book of Mormon referred to Jesus as 'God.' Joseph Smith later changed some, but not all, of these to 'the Son of God.' It is claimed by some that this is evidence that Joseph Smith changed the Book of Mormon to conform to his changing beliefs about the Trinity, claiming that Joseph was originally a solid Trinitarian (perhaps even a Modalist), and as he later began to teach that the Father and Son were two separate beings, he had to change the Book of Mormon to support his new doctrine. FAIR argues that these changes were simply for clarification and that the change does not reflect a shifting theology. One of the reasons this is a problem for some people is that a similar change is seen in the accounts of the First Vision. The 1832 account only mentions “the Lord”. The 1835 account mentions two unnamed beings. The 1838 account is the first to mention God and Christ as the beings which appeared to Joseph. As the change adding “the Son of” was made for the 1837 edition, it does coincide with the retelling of the accounts of the First Vision.
FAIR also argues that if Joseph wanted to change the theology contained in the Book of Mormon, he would have changed all the ambiguous verses instead of changing only four verses at the beginning of the book. It is hard to say what Joseph would have done in the future as his life ended a few years later. It seems that Joseph was willing to make changes that did not align with the original manuscript and may have continued to do so in the future. Subsequent prophets did not make changes to the text of the Book of Mormon.
An article published in the Ensign indicates that changes were made by Joseph until 1842.

Interestingly, FAIR states that Oliver Cowdery may have been responsible for these particular changes.
"Another reason 'the Son of' was introduced into 1 Nephi 11:18 could have been to eliminate the Catholic-sounding phrase 'the mother of God' that had been objected to by early critics of the Book of Mormon…. Since this criticism of the Book of Mormon was fresh on Oliver's mind, and he was involved in the editing of the 1837 edition of the Book of Mormon, it is possible that the change in 1 Nephi 11:18 was inserted at his prompting."
It is also concerning to suggest that Oliver could be responsible for this important change at all. If anyone could change the text, it would seem that it would be Joseph as the prophet. I had never been presented with a version of the translation of the Book of Mormon where it was open to input from Joseph’s peers.
Once again, the method of translation would make it seem that no one could make changes to the text. If the words were read directly from a seer stone, not much room is left for changes to be made to the text.
Given the method of translation, could any text be changed for clarification?
Does changing the scripture from “God” to “the Son of God” show a shifting theology or is it merely clarification?
Based on what you were taught, would Oliver Cowdery be able to suggest adding words to the verses for clarification?

State Bank of India Board Gives The Go-Ahead For Raising Rs. 50,000 Cr. Through Debt
The board of India’s public sector bank — the State Bank of India — gave the approval for raising up to Rs. 50,000 crore through debt instruments in FY24. These instruments include long-term bonds, Basel-III compliant additional tier-1 bonds, or Basel-III compliant tier-2 bonds. In terms of its financials, the bank reported healthy profits and improving capital ratios during FY23. It is also well-placed to record good capital growth in the current FY.

"What reps do not offer:

1. High end, high complication watches / independents: You can't yet get (unless there is a whole segment I don't know about) high end complications and independents. If you want a Moser Perpetual Calendar, a Lange Triple split or Zeitwerk, FPJ resonance, a PP double split or minute repeater, MB&F double chrono or Perpetual Evo, Rollie Annual calendar... you just aren't getting them in the rep world. This is not something many are concerned about admittedly, but it is still a gap which won't be closed.
2. Sufficient Design variety: There isn't the range available to a purchaser in the rep world across price points. From low to medium to high end, mens, women's and children's watches. In the gen world there is just far more variety which fits all tastes, size and price-points. This is not the case in the rep world - majority (not all, of course) is Rolex, PP, AP. Which is fine, that satisfies most tastes I think but maybe not for a collector over the long term.
3. Material variety: Money no object you could wear a carbon-fibre 70g Hublot on the wrist one day (please don't - save yourself), followed by a platinum Daytona or white gold FPJ the next. You could wander around London, or NYC and Singapore on a weekend and have solid gold, silver, titanium, carbon, tantalum etc. on the wrist to enjoy. At high and low budgets you can have an enviable range of materials on your wrist.
4. Quality: Ish - if it is a mass produced Rolex etc. frankly a good stainless steel copy of a 116500, 124060, 126610LN etc. will get you 85-90% of the gen quality but that is for a few models and even with those there is always that 10-15% which is off - that extra accuracy, the likely longevity, that extra polish with finishing. That being said frankly AP and PP have been sitting on their hands with their entry-level models and the movements have not evolved for years, and years, and years. Go into an AP boutique and try on a 39 and change the date, ask about WR and note the power reserve and be very very confused.

That PP introduced the 6700G range as the 'modern' base Calatrava with an upgraded movement but it still has only 35-45 hours power reserve is comical when compared to the H.Moser & Cie base 3-hander movement or any Tudor BB ( I know its dress not sports, but its still 3-hander / 3 hander with date comp).

1. Niche, watches with history: Want a watch that has a story, that was on the wrist of a soldier, sailer or candlestick maker for thirty years. Want a watch only issued to military unit because it was your family unit, a dive school that your aunt and uncle attended, a graduating class of jet pilots that your best mate graduated from who since bought it, a certain employer. Nope. Not only do those not see the light of day for the most part - there isn't the financial incentive to reproduce.
   
2. Asset / Investment: There is more potential of upside if you buy right with gens but reps are as liquid when compared to a varied gen collection, just the values more likely lower. The most liquid gens will take approx 5 days from the point you would like to sell to having £ in the bank if you use a scale watch dealer (exceptions apply). Factor in insurance, servicing, buying the models you thought you wanted but don't, locking up cash and it's a more interesting story as a scale watch collector when you work across brands. Parking cash in a small physical asset that isn't going to materially depreciate is also valuable to some which is an often overlooked benefit too.
   

What reps do offer:

1. Accessibility (£ $): No two ways about it, medium-end watches are generally speaking overpriced, high-end almost always are, ultra-high end are crippling. A lot of the 'goal/grail/hype/cool' watches are far out of the range of most financially. Make no bones about it, in this authors opinion people should get a replica rather than put themselves in a precarious financial position and load themselves up with debt or financing. An 18 year old who buys a replica today, could buy a PP grand complication in 15 years having got that first foothold on this forum - buying when they can afford but enjoying the hobby for years before.

Look at JLC and the comical increase in pricing multiple times in the past 18 months, Lange and the 20-30% increase across the board the other month, Tudor (an accessible brand) and the 10% + increases staring to compound and raise eyebrows. Not great.
2. Accessibility (access): Can't get the damn things when you want, usually. Self explanatory - people know the Rolex challenges. Which to be honest, like others have mentioned vary across regions and stores and it's almost (is) unfair how easy these actually are for people connected properly who aren't always genuine collectors. For PP, Lange you will have to snake your purchases through the collection categories rather than go for what you want when you want if you want several (even if you are a noted collector). For MB&F, FPJ - better make your way into the F&F to get what you want, the lists go on. Even when you drop to the more accessible but hype like some from Baltic, Studio UnderDog, Christopher Ward, Tissot you can wait months. I've personally waited longer for some entry-level hype watches than 'in-demand' professionals / sports.

1. Try before you buy: Not too much more to say - try before you buy and I do this a lot. Not sure if you want a Submariner or Submariner Date then try them both delivered to your house in days. Don't like, sell them. Yes you can go into stores but that doesn't always work well for everyone - i) stores don't always have stock and when they do you won't spent much time with these watches ii) many are intimidated in these high end watch stores and are treated badly - 'don't have an appointment, bugger off please', iii) plenty of people aren't located close to watch stores. People getting pied off in stores is something I see so often and I don't like it, everyone has to start somewhere and not all people are as comfortable, have large spends and know the people who work in stores. Go to watch clubs you say... well some of these and the people in them - that's a whole different post.
   
2. Insurance, Servicing, Ancillary costs: These go up or down with scale but it is not nothing. Insurance can be low - often sitting at c.1% of watch value for something like a Sub is good, but this adds up. Independent servicing (not all - some are VERY good in this regard) or complication servicing takes time, £/$ and pain sometimes. Paying for safe deposit boxes, serviced or monitored alarms costs £ too.
   

Pay to play: Even top tier collectors for the v. high end brands will be required to buy watches you don't really want on the journey - or watches you want but too frequently (ironically). It's the price of entry and doesn't matter who you are. Can you get rid yes, but for the v.high end it's a small world and whilst you might get a shot across the bow on the first one you dump v.v. quickly as everyone knows it was a. stepping stone, twice and they will sink your battleship.

1. Loss: Lose a replica. Ok, don't care .. what's for dinner. Lose a gen, oh this is going to be fun - police, insurance, watch shops and registers etc.

6. Security: If we are talking well-known watches like sports PP, sports Rolex etc. then one has less concern in many locations and times with a replica. Obviously you don't want to flash either around in certain locations or at certain times but this is somewhat self explanatory. Also with reps you don't need to make sure you strictly adhering to insurance conditions / expectations ('oh did I put it in the safe' etc.). Side point, with reps your most frequent trip isn't to the bank and WAITING FOREVER every time for the box opening procedures."

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
   
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at /ModCoord.
   
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
   
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

Andariel.
Act 4 bounces you around a little first which I actually liked but then BAM Andariel shows up.
This particular story beat felt super off to me. Maybe it was exacerbated by the fact that I somehow one-shot her. (Have been playing on World Tier 2 the entire game). I had more trouble with Brol in Act 3 which took me like 4 or 5 attempts. This particular story beat was underwhelming after all the build-up to Andiriel and the return of a beloved character. I killed her and was like "Is that it? It's over, she's gone again just like that" I tabbed out straight away and googled to see if that was like a preliminary Andariel fight and whether you have to fight her again like with Elias. Nope, that was it.
I mean, Earlier on in the story when Lorath finds out that Elias plans to summon Andariel he says something along the lines of "X thing that has been going on lately is bad enough already, but if he managed to summon a lesser evil it would consume/destroy an entire continent" I felt like Andariel would be the end boss of Act 4 or that there would be some more lead up to the fight like "Oh boy here it is, it's going down!!!!"
I appreciate that they tried something different and just threw it at me unexpectedly, but for me, it just didn't land.
Then After walking back into the Chapel, you find that Taissa is perfectly fine despite being used as a conduit to summon a lesser evil into Sanctuary. I was just like.. ok so there were ZERO CONSEQUENCES to this entire story beat. Andariel got summoned, we one-shot her and sent her ass back to hell and the conduit person we have been worrying about this whole time is unharmed and unscathed. It was the biggest non-burger ever.
Then you start the post-fight Dialogue and Taissa casually explains how one of her mates figured out immortality!?? haha wtf, I actually burst out laughing when she said that. Immortality is a HUGE fukn deal, and ol Taissa is like "Yea my mate from work, he's immortal. Ol Mate Jeff, he's a real scamp.
I just think the timing in which the game threw Andariel at me, coupled with the one-shot and then finishing off with the "my mate figured out immortality" all happening in the space of 3-4min really threw me off guard. On one hand, we have what should have been a huge story beat, hit the ground like a wet sandwich followed by a statement that should change everything we know about life/death and see the world around us just casually being thrown in and no one reacts to the information.

I wish to be more specific and add context to an earlier post I deleted. Many in the comments made HUGE assumptions and frankly, it was infuriating.
A person who is merely a former co-worker was traveling through my state on her way to another destination. She texted me, saying she'd be in my area on a certain date, and would like to "catch up, hang out, maybe stay the night." It has been five years since we last worked together, but since I know what it's like to travel with limited funds, I acquiesced.
The date she was supposed to arrive, I texted, asking if she needed my address, thinking she'd be on the road. "I hurt my back and got a late start, so it will be tomorrow before I can be there," her text came back. "Also, I hope it's okay, I'm traveling with my cat."
I don't keep pets, but, I saw no way to say, "No. Your cat is not welcome."
Does anyone see where this is leading?
So, she arrives a day later, cat in tow. No problem. Except she keeps me awake the entire night getting up and making noise and generally disturbing the peace. The next morning, over coffee, she starts in with crocodile tears and complaining about getting old and out of shape (she's 39, I'm 52. Call me in 13 years about your age, and see if I'm still here). She proceeded to tell me her weight gain was the result of a long drinking binge because she was depressed by the death of one of our co-workers, and was THUS the cause of her hurting her back. Bullshit. She was the same exact size last time I saw her. She hurt her back trying to move heavy base plates by herself. That had NOTHING to do with binge drinking or Jake's death. I had enough, by then. It was a case of pure narcissistic manipulation. Unwillingness to take responsibility for one's own actions is textbook narcissism. So, when I pointed out Jake dying had nothing to do with her pulling base plates by herself, she started yelling at me about how I wasn't listening.
I am gravely ill with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. I have PCM (protein calorie malnutrition) and am literally starving to death. I accommodated both her and her pet, when my instinct told me not to. Then, here she was, bemoaning weight gain to a starving person. That's like showing an ingrown toenail to an amputee, in my book. Tone deaf as fuck.
The lessons here are:
1) Listen to your intuition. Yes, I know, we often think we are somehow gaslighting ourselves, but REALLY, we have to trust our instincts.
2) Set boundaries early and adjust as needed. DO NOT let people walk all over you.
3) "No" is a complete sentence. You are under no obligation to explain why you are not interested or willing to do a thing. One of the things this visitor had the nerve to tell me is, "I never put myself in a position where I have to take 'no' for an answer." True dat, honey.
I know everyone is the hero in their own story, but really?
She left without apologizing for yelling at me in my own home. I bet she thinks I'm just awful, but the door is no longer open for her.
I will work harder to set boundaries in the future, but my short-term fix is going to be a "no visitors" policy. The stress of chronic illness and the uncertainty of cirrhosis is enough to keep my peace out of balance. No need inviting more stress.

Hello anyone able ti carry me Brough the world tier 3 dungeon?

Okay, I asked this a few days ago and the answer I got was "just grind more", but something is missing.
I am Level 55 I am set to World Tier 3 I have done multiple Tree runs and cleared ~10 dungeons in my last two play sessions.
I still have yet to get a single Sigil.
Is there a side quest or something I need to complete before Sigils will start dropping? What am I missing here?

Greetings everyone! I am new to the game and still try to understand some parts. I do see guides here and there but all guides are "old".. I mean they are all from previous versions of the game, like 0.7.x and since this game is still in development I guess that lot of things/mechanics/etc are changing over the new versions.
With that said, I do have some questions if you dont mind answer (and thanks in advance for this!)

1. Does small map is "easier"? Since map most probably is going to have all possible resources, isnt a small map more "dense" on resources? and people need to travel less?
2. I know buildings dont need roads but does roads offer more "speed" to people? and if there is a road connecting a distant building, do people travel by road? Or they will chose the shortest path? Sometimes I need to place some mines on a mountain but the road I am able to construct is not the shortest one. Most of the time the road goes "around". So my question is, is it beneficial to add that road? Or I may shoot my own foot, because people will take longer to go there by road, while there is a shorter path?
3. If an important resource you need is quite far from main settlement, like clay, sand, coal, etc , do you build a small settlement there to support it? or the tier 2 temporary house is enough?
4. I didnt understand how the "Work camp" is supposed to work. Whats the difference between this and actual mark trees and stones on map for harvest? Since it also covers less area..
5. do you build many forager sacks to get every possible resource? Which one is more important? I am usually low on herbs and roots...
6. A Saw pit with 4 workers produce the same with 2 Saw pits with 2 workers each?
7. Any up to date guide for farming/corps? I tried some guides and have added only maintenance for first year but the filed was still with lots of weed and rockiness ... Also since farms need lot of workforce do you delay it until later when enough people available and have other productions running? Some suggest that you need to start field ASAP..
8. As for production chains, how it works? If I built my Pottery building next to clay pit, will the workers take clay directly to the pottery? Or they will move it to storehouse first?
9. Whats the minimum water % you think is acceptable for Water well? I ve seen some nice layouts for houses and they have wells placed in them, I wanna know if I can follow them and on what % percent of water!

I live in singapore, so I won't really be doing this much, which is why I picked this bike. Its within my price range and seems good enough to do the work, but I'm getting a second opinion here before I blow 300 bucks on it.
The plan is to start in mid-late april from Warsaw, go through berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and end in either Spain or Portugal, whichever way I can get a plane back to Singapore the easiest. With that in mind, and knowing that I'm mostly going to be sticking to the roads, would that bike be sufficient? I'm looking to either stealth camp or sleep in campsites for the most part.

Regarding gear, I'll be getting the decathlon water filter, and bike racks, panniers and the like off Shoppee or Lazada. It's still in the planning stages so any recommendations would be useful. I'm not planning to do this often(too expensive, I've been saving part time earnings for like 3 years to do this) so if you guys could keep it fairly cheap it'd be appreciated. Also how would I transport a bike to Europe? Thank god I started planning a year early, doing this in 3 months or less would be a nightmare

I need to track only 3 fields when they change, which is better for optimization.

Plus, in another model I have to track about 10 - 15 fields on change, and is this a good practice to make every table for every field I want to track or should I just create 1 table and track all fields in there,

Let me start by saying that I know this deck likely isn't going to be a Tier 1 deck anytime soon but I'm working on optimizing it to its full potential.
Currently on the MTGA ladder I'm at about 57% WR with a little over a hundred games played, however a lot of those losses are from before I understood really how to use this deck well and was making mistakes I've learned from.
This deck does great against mono white and mono red, decent against the ramp Atraxa decks, great against Dimir and Esper decks, but the worst matchup is definitely UW control which is very popular right now. I'm posting here just for any ideas or insight you may have into sideboard changes to help with these UW matchups.
