Working in Ohio with Michigan residency
I am a resident of Michigan but working in Ohio. I work in Ohio for 3 days and then return to Michigan for 4 days, during my time in Ohio i am also renting an apartment but don’t plan to give up my michigan residency status. Am I exempt from paying Ohio state income tax because of the reciprocal agreement they have and just pay income tax to Michigan? I have the option of filling out an Ohio IT-4 which says if your a full-year resident of Michigan you’re not subject to Ohio or school district income tax.

I'm considering buying a home vs continuing to rent crappy apartments with the $82-$84k I will be receiving soon. How would that work? Is it still taxable income if it goes into home buying? I know doing so relieves me of the 10% penality for using the money before retirement but idk how it works on taxes. Would this be a smart decision? Taking a loan against the amount is not an option as I am self employed so I could not get the money directly withdrawn from my pay check but is that an option if I'm able to make month payments via direct payment every week? Just trying to decide if this would be a better option than rolling into a 401k and continuing to rent apartments that are just crap because that's what I qualify for. I make roughly $3k a month and 2bed in my area is around $950(low income) up to $1400 which I don't qualify for. I was figuring if I purchased a home for around $180k and used this money down I'd be looking at payments around the $1400 range. Thanks for any advice

This has all happened within the past 10 days.
I love playing slots but lately I have been playing these digital baccarat machines. When I start losing a lot I take little breaks and just walk around the casino. I like watching people win, I love the lights, bells and whistles of slot machines. When I do go to the casino, it’s around 10am when it’s still kinda empty.
So about 10 days ago I’m walking around the casino after a bad run on baccarat. I’m walking past an empty bank of machines and I noticed one of the machines has $121 in it. I look around, it’s about 10:30am and the casino is still empty so I figured maybe someone was playing there and had to make a phone call (there was no player card in there).
I go back to baccarat, lose a few more hands and then start walking around again. It’s now been at least 10 minutes, and that $121 is still in there, nobody around. At this point I put $20 in the machine next to it, win a few bucks, cash it out and now I put my money in the machine with the $121 still in it. I play a few spins and cash it out.
I go home and I just can’t wrap my head around how someone left $121 in a machine. So I start thinking, maybe this is money left in there from the night before? Drunk people must have been playing until 3am, maybe playing on 2 different machines and forgot to cash out. Maybe this is common?
I go back the next day at 10am and now I’m on the hunt for “drunk money”. I quickly find $40 in a digital black jack machine. I walk around a little more and find $90 in a different machine, and $45 in the machine right next to it. I wait around at least 5 minutes, nobody around, put my money in, play a little then cash it all out. (I’m also gambling the whole time I’m there, I’m not just walking around.)
I go back 2 days later, this time I find a fire link machine with $6 in it, and the special fire ball game has just started (.50 cents a push) and there is nobody around! I wait like 10 minutes, sit down on the machine next to it, play a little bit then I moved to the machine with the fireball special and play it out. They fireball special produced $22, plus the $6 already in the machine, I cash it out and have not been back since.
At first I thought I was finding drunk peoples money but now I just feel like I’m being set up. There’s just no way people can leave this much money in machines!
Do machines randomly malfunction and spit out random amounts of money? Or will they randomly initiate a special?

So we spent a few days at a water park resort. All in all it went well and everyone had a good time. But things went kind of haywire on the day we headed home. We planned to let the kids swim a couple of hours before we left to get them tired out for the drive, hit the aquarium about twenty minutes away that I was really looking forward to going to, and then head home. I suggested we eat at the kind of crappy place at the pool before we left the waterpark so no one got over tired and hangry. That idea was brushed off. First mistake, obviously.
We get to the aquarium and struggle to find parking. We think we find a spot but it doesn't work out because the truck parked in front of the spot isnt pulled up far enough. Then my husband backs up to another spot near by and fucking backs my godamned car into a fucking pole. It's not serious but there is damage to my nice suv (couldn't have been HIS shitty car we fucked up, of fucking course). But I've been in wrecks before and my body goes into panic mode regardless of the lack of severity or danger. We finally get parked and go to the aquarium, the joy of it completely sucked out because my husband and I are both upset about the car and my body is in panic mode.
By the time we done it is 2 and of course we are all starving. We have to walk a couple of blocks in this hot ass city with my six year old dragging behind. We finally get there and my son starts running, in sandals since we came from the pool, and of course he falls and skins his knee and elbow. He screams at any hint of pain so of course he is inconsolable. We get him to stop screaming and head inside, where he starts screaming again. It is a quick sandwich place but the employees are slow as fuck and making jokes about my sons fall and how funny it was that he fell. We take the sandwiches and go because at this point I just want to get the fuck out of this city. My son won't walk with his skinned knee so my husband had to carry him all the way back to the car in the boiling hot weather.
Traffic was horrible on the way out of the city and I'm still in panic mode and I start having a panic attack. Husband says I need therapy. Of course I wouldn't have been panicking if he hadn't crashed my car into a stationary fucking pole just a couple of hours before.
The rest of the way home was thankfully uneventful. I'm not sure when my car will get fixed up since it isn't that bad and I'm so bummed about driving my once beautiful car around like this. Husband has been cringing about the cost. Its been needing its sensors repaired for like a year so I figured this was as good as time as any to get it done. "bUt iTs sO eXpEnsIvE". Bro, maybe if my sensors were working better you wouldn't have backed into a fucking pole.

My daughter (20F) is a lovely singer currently in her junior year of college at a music program in university. (For clarification, she still lives at home and is a commuter student.)
When she was 18, her voice teacher chose her and a few students to compete in a regional voice competition about 3 hours away from home. The other students either drove with their teacher or by themselves and stayed in the same hotel.
That time, my daughter wanted to go alone too, but we said no, only because it seemed dangerous. An overnight trip with practical strangers in a city she's unfamiliar with is not ideal. (Other reasons: the hotel chain they were staying is gross and we could put her somewhere better and we wanted to be there to support her and see her sing.)
My husband, son (14M) and I all drove to the competition, no one looked at my daughter weird, there were many other parents there, and everything went well.
Flash forward to now, where she's been invited to the same competition. We plan on going again, but my daughter says she wants to drive with a friend who's also going.
Two young woman driving by themselves to an unfamiliar place hours away where anything can happen (car breaks down, someone gets hurt, etc) does not sit right with me. She's also forgetting she is taking away our chance to support her and see her perform.
This is all for her safety, but now my daughter us moping around the house...because her parents want to support her, ensure her safety, and has her best interest at heart.

I clean houses for a living. Yesterday while we were at our last house of the day our manager calls and asked why we cleaned a client's house that had cancelled that day. We never went to this lady's house, nowhere near it. It wasn't even on our list of houses for the day. But this lady called to make the payment and is swearing up and down that we showed up and cleaned her house and even described us. we usually are split up into 2 teams but yesterday all four of us were together and she absolutely wouldn't have known that. And of course this is one of the few homes we clean that doesn't have a camera at their front door because I have been tripping out over this and it would make my whole life to see myself at someone's front door when I was also in a whole different location at the same time lmao. I'm hoping this sub can inform me of a way to run my variable blower fan on high when the ac/heat is not running.
Our basement in our tri-level home is ice-cold and a great resource for cold air and I'd like to circulate the cold air using our variable speed blower fan at high speed. Unless I'm missing something, I can only get our ecobee 3 Lite thermostat to run "indefinitely" on low speed. This helps to circulate air, but forcing the blower to run full power would cut down the use of the AC unit significantly by leveraging the cold air from the basement.
ALTERNATIVES / BOOSTERS Our HVAC to these upper rooms were poorly designed and ends with 2x12" floor registers. To install dampers or in-line booster fans, our finished basement would require ripping out drywall, etc. Register booster fans were an intriguing fix, but they don't come in 2x12" designs. Perhaps modifying the floor vent to fit 4x12" could work, but without understanding how that might affect the system, I'm reluctant to do that.

I have found PPL offerings but I would like to go into gliding. Wanted to start it my home country but didn't have enough time before I came here. My boyfriend and I have been together about 2.5 years. The last couple of years, I’ve noticed him becoming less and less responsible. He is currently unemployed (he was laid off) and has spent the last few months sleeping most of the day and drinking/playing video games all night. He is still able to pay for his expenses using his assets, so his unemployment hasn’t been of huge concern for me. However, this behavior has become more concerning because I believe it’s affecting how he cares for his son (7).
When I’m working from home, there have been multiple times where I have to wake him because he’s hungover and sleeps through his alarm to take his son to school. On a day I was in office, I got a text from his son’s mom saying that they never showed up to school that day. I texted and called my boyfriend thinking something horrible may have happened just to find out that he overslept again. He also gets mad at his son if he doesn’t wake him up in time for him to take him to school (he barely knows how to tell time) and says he’s “trying teach him time management”.
Another time, he woke up late for something after a night of drinking, didn’t have time to defrost his windshield, and hit a car in our subdivision because he couldn’t see.
We took a vacation last year, and he promised to be home by 8pm the night before to pack. He stayed out until midnight, drove home incredibly drunk, and had to pack at 5am between vomiting (nearly making us late for our flight).
There are way more examples I could give, but these are just a couple that come to mind. I’ve expressed concern about all of this to him only for him to get defensive and basically to tell me to mind my own business.
I’ve spoken to my therapist about this, and she’s told me to basically let him suffer the consequences of his own actions. I’m worried though that soon, his irresponsibility is going to start affecting me more than it already has. I’m seeing him as being less and less dependable/reliable. I’ve given him a lot of leeway because I know he struggles with depression, but I’m worried at this point, I’m just enabling him. I only drink occasionally and have never dealt with this kind of thing before, so I worry I’m in over my head.

I'm not here for any advice. I'm only here to vent. I need somewhere to let out my frustrations.
My husband (28 M LL) and I (27 F HL), have been married for 3 years and have been together for a total of 5 years. We have no kids since we both are 100% sure of being child-free.
When we first met, we had instant chemistry. I remember constantly wanting to spend as much time as possible with my boyfriend at the time and always having him on my mind when we weren't together. A few months into our relationship, we reached a point where we were both serious enough to start having sex. It was non-stop, passionate, and fulfilling. I couldn't get enough of him. It was quite common for us back then to have sex multiple times in the same day.
The relationship was good. We got married and moved in together. About a year into our marriage, sex slowed down. We went from having sex twice a day when we first met to now twice a month. :-(
I've tried everything. I've attempted therapy, but it was of no help. I managed to convince my husband to see a doctor, who reassured him that his biology is normal. I've had SSSOOOOO MANY polite conversations with him about it. I've asked if he has any sexual fantasies. I even kept an eye out to observe how often he watches porn, although I hardly ever see him doing so. At one point, I completely stopped bringing up the issue, until the deprivation became so overwhelming that my body "forced" me to address it again. My self-esteem plummeted to the point where I developed anorexia for a few months. Although I am naturally thin and health-conscious, I started eating so little that I unnecessarily lost weight, with a significant portion of it being fat-free mass. To my husband's credit, he was incredibly supportive and helped me overcome this issue, in addition to seeking more therapy. This was a year ago, and I have been in a better place since then. However, the lack of sex still persists.
In case anyone is wondering, no, he isn't gay or asexual, and no, he isn't cheating. I'm 100% sure.
I got so tired of receiving no sex from my husband that I thought I would try spicing things up to see if I could get him to respond. I decided to attempt 10 different ways of initiating sex, even though most of them were cliché. This spanned over a period of 2 to 2.5 weeks. Some of these attempts were made on consecutive days, while others were spaced about a day or two apart, depending on the timing.

1. I spent all day getting a Brazilian wax all over my body, got my hair done, and did my own makeup and nails. I went to two different adult stores trying to find the perfect lingerie based on my husband's taste. I thought I found the perfect one. After buying the lingerie, going home, putting it on, and walking out of our bedroom to surprise him, he just flat out rejected me.

I then kissed him on the cheek and headed to the bathroom. However, he never did join me. I kept the shower going for an hour, which is about three times longer than I normally take, just in case my husband was to join me at the last moment.
   
3. When he was sitting down on the sofa, I decided to sit on his lap and started kissing him without saying anything, hoping that it would lead to something more. However, he turned his head after 10 seconds. I didn't want the initial rejection to discourage me, so I laughed it off and tried again to continue making out with him two more times, asking for just 5 minutes of his time. (I was originally saving this for when part 2 or 3 dropped but a number of you jumped the gun, so…)

There is a tendency, especially in FGO, to ignore all nuances and engage in hyperbolic reactions towards enemies or people who "wronged" the players self-insert Guda. I still remember the reactions to the Clock Tower shutting down Chaldea (and there still are) and how Guda should totally stride into the CT with Servants in tow to dunk on the haters and have the mages seethe and rage (such scenarios, fancomics especially, can be embarassing to read). Or the reactions to Goredolf, whose father is famously a boisterous and arrogant character who eventually changed into a decent one caring for homunculi and seeking to raise his son right, who provoked the typical "arrogant magi" reactions despite him stopping Chaldea from being disbanded, but at least now people see how much of a cinnamon roll he is under all is pretense.
And who can forget the reactions to the reveal of the Crypters as antagonists, from the conclusion that they were "jealous" of Guda and frequent fantasies of cucking Anastasia from Kadoc, all the while people forgot that Mash's and Da Vinci's presentation of them in the prologue painted them all (except Beryl) in a good light, so their betrayal should have had a deeper reason to it (and surprise, there was).
So, with all that in mind, I'm completely unsurprised at the reactions to fairies and how many seem allergic to any nuanced take on them that isn't, well, genocide. OP had guts to go against the grain, but it was always going to be hopeless.
It doesn't matter that Percival says it explictly, or that there is the description of what everyone does during the end of their world, or that Merlin outright attributes the failure of forging Excalibur to human flaws, or that Chaldea meets, befriends, and ally with good fairies, the LB can hammer in again and again that despite their nature, fairies are capable of both good and evil same as humans, and thus the death of an entire people is a tragedy and they don't deserve it because of the action of a few or even many. People will say there are exceptions, or that it doesn't count, or that only one thing the text says about fairies is valid and not anything else. They will do anything in their power to not allow a moment of thought or nuance that could abate their hateboners.
It doesn't matter that Morgan's rule led to the death of Mash's goblin friends and Boggart, made tons of people suffer, and that people rightly saw her as a tyrant when Part 1 was out: she and her Fairy Knights got sad backstories and deaths, therefore all fairies, the species they belong to, deserve to die.
I could at least understand if people restricted it to saying they had difficulty mustering pity for fairies, but more often than not it falls into \gleeful* celebration of all this death, and it's just...ghoulish.*
Now for my own take-
Ok so basically,
Imagine if someone walked up to you and told you that all of humanity deserves to die and listing out our history of prejudice war, genocide, hate, and how we try to justify these horrible acts we commit against each other (need I remind you of the backstory of this franchise's version of Angra Mainyu?) On top of that, we never seem to learn anything from history. "Humans are scum who's progress comes at the cost of ravaging the very planet that gave them life and the other races that call it home! (for Nasuverse stories see Notes, where the land of steel is the result of humanity literally killing the planet) You and a select few others are rare exceptions and default for your race it that you should be burning in hell!"
You see how it sounds? You probably wouldn't give a f*** about how they said you're fine. That dude is a hypocrite.
And don't try to claim this is different, see above, the part about trying to justify this crap.

Hello, I don’t know too much about trees so apologies if this is a basic question.
I was lucky enough to inherit this lovely Japanese maple when I bought my home ten years ago. About nine years ago, the city planted a new baby oak tree in the sidewalk box.
The oak is growing beautifully, but I’m worried about it affecting my maple, now that they’re at the same height.
Is there anything I should pay attention to or do? I think I’m not supposed to mess with the city tree (I’m in Washington DC).
