I use Aegis on my phone and unlock with fingerprint. As far as I know I never set up a password and there is no password stored in Bitwarden for Aegis. Bitwarden prompt does popup when I open Aegis though.
I wanted to setup a password and save it but it will not let me create a new one without entering the current one, which I don't think I ever setup. I seem to be missing or forgetting something here. This has happened before and I had to go take everything off of 2fa individually then delete Aegis and reinstall. I went without 2fa for several months and decided to start using Aegis again, but made the same mistake again.
Any way to solve this without starting over again? Using my fingerprint is working fine but if that wasn't an option I want to make sure I can still access the app.

40F - ADHD currently taking Ritalin 10mg 2 x day, Magnesium-L Threonate and N-acetyl-cysteine. Had hip labrum replacement in July last year. Have had COVID twice in April 2022 and March 2023.
For the last 1 1/2-2 years the right side of my neck swells and it stays that way for days, weeks or even months at a time. It has gradually become longer and more frequent. At this point it always feels slightly more swollen than the other side and my jaw is less defined on that side. When it's really bad, the edge of my face will also swell, including my earlobe and even up to my temple and I get pain around the bottom of my jaw that goes up behind my ear and into my head. About a year ago I started gagging easily (especially when brushing my teeth) and choking on nothing as it feels like my throat is full and anything can set off my gag reflex. I have previously been prone to ear infections but I haven't had one for years. My mother has Graves Disease and I think there's other thyroid disorder in the family I'm just not sure what. I had a dental checkup recently that didn't find anything that would explain it. I had an ultrasound in Feb and they found nodules on my thyroid: Right lobe 4.8 x 1.6 x 1.4cm, volume 6.3ml Left lobes 4.0 x 1.8 x 1.4cm, volume 5.3ml Complex exophytic nodule extending from right isthmus 29 x 18 x 22mm, calcified lesion in mid pole 6 x 5mm. Tiny solid lesions in lower pole on the left measuring 4 & 3mm. The region of interest corresponds to the prominent edge of the right parotid gland. The right parotid gland is unremarkable. Normal appearing lymph nodules. There is a TIRADS-4 nodule on the right isthmus and the other nodules are TIRADS-2. I had a biopsy in Feb with the following results: Thyroid: Right lobe. Mid zone. Size in mm: 9.2x8.4. Echogenicity: Heterogenous. Margins: Ill-defined (Border of nodule difficult to distinguish from thyroid parenchyma in areas) . Composition: Solid (0 - <5 % cystic). Echogenic foci: Punctate (Dot-like foci with no posterior acoustic shadowing \[<1 mm\] ? Calcium, ? Hyperreflective colloid crystals) and macrocalcifications (> 1mm +/- posterior acoustic shadowing). Shape: Wider than tall. Doppler: no vascularity identified. Number of needle passes: 1. 2. Thyroid: Isthmus. Left of midline. Size in mm: 32.3x13.4 . Echogenicity: Heterogenous. Margins: Smooth (Uninterrupted. Well-defined. Curvilinear edge). Composition: Predominantly solid (Soft tissue =/> 50% of the nodule). Echogenic foci: Punctate (Dot-like foci with no posterior acoustic shadowing [<1 mm\] ? Calcium, ? Hyperreflective colloid crystals) and macrocalcifications (> 1mm +/- posterior acoustic shadowing). Shape: Wider than tall. Doppler: Vascularity is mainly lesional. Degree of vascularity: mild. Number of needle passes: 1. Remainder of thyroid: No abnormality. FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY. Both nodules were identified and confirmed by matching with the previous images. This nodule felt focally gritty to the needle when traversed in multiple directions in a systematic fashion. The smears contain abundant thin and clumped colloid and multiple follicular epithelial fragments. The cellularity of the follicular tissue is within normal limits and a mixed pattern with a predominance of macro follicles an absence of architectural monotony is identified. There is no significant cytological atypia or architectural disarray. The microcalcification did not yield any calcific material or psammoma bodies and nuclear features of papillary carcinoma are not present. There is no lymphoplasmacytic reaction and the appearances are those of a follicular lesion with a benign pattern. The solid areas of this complex nodule were sampled in multiple directions in a systematic fashion. The smears contain abundant thin and watery colloid and multiple follicular epithelial fragments. Clumps of compact colloid are also present. The cellularity of the follicular tissue is within normal limits and a macrofollicular pattern is readily seen and there is no architectural monotony or cytological atypia. No calcific material or psammoma bodies have been aspirated and nuclear features of papillary carcinoma are not present. I had blood tests done in August 2022: TSH 1.5 mIU/L FT4 19 pmol/L FT3 5.9 pmol/L Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs (aTGI) < 1.3 IU/mL Anti-Thyroidal Peroxidase Abs 33 IU/mL My GP doesn't think I need to see a thyroid specialist but also said he didn't know how close an eye we should be keeping on the nodules. He suggested seeing an ENT specialist next as he thinks the neck swelling and the nodules could be unrelated. I just wanted to get some other opinions as I am worried, it really just doesn't feel right at all. Any advice on what it might be, what to do next or how closely the nodules should be monitored would be really helpful. I’m just having a little moment of faltering confidence and I could use a little pep talk/reassurance.
I started bathing part time at a small private salon about six weeks ago. I have zero dog grooming experience, other than brushing my Keeshond. I just can’t seem to get the bottoms of the dogs legs/feet dry, and sometimes the dogs aren’t very clean after I bathe them, my boss says.
I work about 10-12 hours a week, I’ve been doing this for six weeks. I’m the only bather at the salon, to be clear the other two groomers and my boss (who’s also a groomer) are very nice and I really love what I do. I just want to do a good job, be kind, and help the other groomers have a nice clean canvas for them to work on.
Am I being too hard on myself? How long did it take you guys to get the hang of bathing?

My girlfriend and I are coming up on our one year anniversary. Some context, before this relationship, I was married and spent the last decade with my ex. I didn’t jump the boat, and found my current relationship without even looking. It was as if the universe pushed us together, and in my heart I know it was for a myriad of beautiful, and significant reasons. She taught me to love again, to value myself no matter what kind of position life had settled me in. She loved me when I thought myself totally unloveable. She gave me the courage to grow. Renewed my confidence. Helped me to trust again. And yesterday—she put an expiration date on our relationship. I guess that’s a tad incorrect, I knew from the git go that she was young, and specifically not looking for a forever partner. She is a total free spirit, and believes herself to be destined for multiple experiences. I built up her love, gave her unconditional love. Praise. I fed her daily, empowering and validating her. I love her. But she has growing to do, growing that needs done by herself. She wants to focus on her career, on owning herself. Loving herself. And in my soul I always knew this would be one of those experiences where life sets you up with the most joyous of challenges to build you up and test you. It has been a resounding success. I have passed all of my trials. I proved to myself that I am still capable of being an amazing partner. That I can sustain, and maintain a healthy, loving relationship. My final challenge is being comfortable being alone. Learning from what she could teach me. And becoming even better for whatever next relationship coming my way. But in this time she’s become my best friend. My lover. My student. My mentor. We developed skills together. Spoke the most profound philosophy. Read esoteric texts together. I have so much love…. With suddenly no place to channel it. I’m terrified of losing all that we have. But she considers it letting go. I want to be a man capable enough of providing her my utmost respect and ceremonious wishes during this time of transition. But my heart is aching. I was in Idaho for work and despite being 8 hours from Silverwood, I decided this was probably my only chance to get up here so I made the trek over Memorial Day weekend.
Before I get to the rides, let's talk about the park for a little bit. I have to admit I had a bit of sticker shock for the admission price, I wasn't expecting it to be higher than Cedar Point. I get that some of the independent parks a bit more expensive, but I was still a little stunned. The park is pretty small, I'd say maybe half the size of Silver Dollar City with a pretty annoying layout. I think parks should always wrap around if possible and I just hate dead-ends.
The park is pretty with a lot of nice landscaping and little splashes of theme. While the park packs a lot of roller coasters in its space, there aren't a ton of rides in the park and a lot of the flats are relatively low capacity, which I suppose makes sense. Also, it was Memorial Day and they were running one train ops on everything other than Stunt Pilot. I don't know if the woodies can accommodate a second train but man that wait was brutal if you didn't rope drop them. Also props to Silverwood for not having a fastpass option because at least the lines moved pretty consistently. Anyway, let's get to the rides:
Timber Terror (2x): I don't know what the agreed upon superior woodie is in the park but for me it's not Timber Terror. The first drop is pretty good but I found the rest of the ride pretty underwhelming. I know it has the 208 Retrak from RMC but it could probably use some more. I wouldn't say it was excessively rough but there was some hammering especially in the valleys. Not bad but not notable either. Meh.
Tremors (2x): Everything I just said about Timber Terror? Flip it. Tremors was such a fun ride. Good drops, tons of airtime, fun tunnels, good laterals. It felt like an out-of-control woodie in the best way. Maybe a Top 10 woodie for me? I don't know but I really enjoyed it.
Aftershock (5x): I'm gonna admit it, I was intimidated by Aftershock. I still have an issue with heights and having all my weight on the restraint on the way up was pretty freaky. That being said, what an absolute unit of a coaster. For an old Vekoma it was surprisingly smooth with minimal headbanging. I always pinballed going into the cobra roll all 5 times, even with bracing, but other than that I had no issues. I was genuinely surprised with how much I enjoyed it and kept coming back to give it another go. It's a shame there aren't any of these around because they really pack a punch.
Corkscrew (1x): Definitely had to ride this one for the history. I was surprised how smooth it was considering its age and having been moved from KBF. Other than that, there's not much to say. It's a good Arrow with minimal headbanging so it was enjoyable enough.
Stunt Pilot (4x) CREDIT #200: I was sitting at 195 heading into Silverwood so I was fighting between Stunt Pilot, Aftershock, and Corkscrew for #200 but decided to go with Stunt Pilot. It completed my set of RMC single rail coasters in the country. You can definitely tell it's different from the original raptors and isn't quite as violent. The elements have been smoothed out a bit but there's still a lot of amazing moments of ejector airtime. The extra couple rows give some great whip on the drop but I still feel like RailblazeWW hit harder overall. While the theming is minimal, a little bit of theming goes a long way and always adds to the experience. If you asked me to rank the RMC raptors it would probably go: -WW: GLC/Railblazer -WW at SFMM -Stunt Pilot -Jersey Devil
I skipped the SBF Visa (I think it's an SBF, I didn't really go over there). Had a pretty good time at the park overall, I'm guessing going on one of the busiest weekends probably wasn't the best idea, but rope dropping got me on everything enough to make the trip feel worth it. I don't know that I can recommend this park as a destination location but if you ever find your way up here it's worth the trek.

Story Brief: I play a chaotic evil character, rest of the party tries to abandon and murder me on sight, then blames me for being everything wrong with chaotic evil when I defend myself.

This was a very long time ago on a play-by-post site that you've never heard of; I think the site was called mydndgame.com? I checked, but that domain is up for sale as of the time of this writing so if that's what it was it sure didn't last very long. With the story I'm about to relay to you, I can't help but imagine why that might be!
I am uncertain how this party came to be but we were a group of five, all apparently some flavor of autist. The campaign was in the Dalelands of Toril (I think that's right?) and we were all starting at level two. The party composition was a human ranger, a half-orc bard/barbarian (bardbarian!), a dwarf paladin, and my character was a human wilder. For those unfamiliar: wilders are the charisma version of the psion in the same way sorcerers are to wizards, except that wilders are actually really good as you'll learn later.
Our first quest was to clear out a den of orcs who have been doing Generic Evil Bad Guy Things to our starting town. Knowing the reputation that chaotic evil characters tend to have I laid my intentions on the table very early in an attempt to allay concerns. Ashley was chaotic because I want to take the Pyrokineticist prestige class and Evil because she just really likes burning shit. Seeing as I rolled very well on my mental stats (int 16, wis 15, cha 19; the GM was using 2d8+6, IDK why) I felt that Ashley would be very friendly, amicable, and also neurotically aware of her situation. In her own words: "I can burn human villages and be hunted as a villain, or burn orc villages and be paid as a hero. The choice is obvious; we're having barbeque porkchops tonight!" The players acknowledged this and seemed to be mildly enthusiastic.
Thus we get to the actual roleplay.
We keep it simple, start in a tavern and introduce our PCs. The bardbarian and dwarf are having a drunken arm wrestling contest and regaling each other with tales of their machismo ("I once suplexed a polar bear off a cliff!" "Reminds me of that time I gave my coat to an orphan girl and had to walk through a blizzard for eight hours warmed only by the celestial hearth of my god!"). The ranger and I enter town from opposite angles and meet up at the bowyer's shop; he's buying a bow while I am having my crossbow repaired after I got a little overenthusiastic with my last Fire Ray. The ranger is immediately distrustful of my wilder; I don't know why, but "grizzled ranger wilderness man" is such a classic trope I don't think much of it and we end up entering the tavern together.
Shortly after we are all in the same ingame space together, a big ol' royal guardsman or soldier or somesuch enters the tavern and calls for mercenaries. The others answer the call, while my wilder listens from the corner given that she's not best friends with the law. We are told of the orcs and the troubles they are causing on the road, and that parties who like gold and killing orcs ought to prepare to embark with him in the morning. Yeah, I thought; Ashley likes both of those things -- one is a good target for fire, and the other buys resources she can use to make more fire. I feel Ashley is not likely to volunteer without her weapons on her -- she wouldn't be taken seriously! -- so I narrate how I'll wait an hour for repairs to be completed and approach the group then, since we have until morning.
Ashley goes to get her crossbow, returns -- and the party is gone. So much for waiting until the morning.
I make some quick Gather Information checks (I had the intelligence so I sprinkled cross-class ranks into K:nobility and various social skills) to figure out what happened, then set off at a brisk hustle to follow.
Upon catching up with the party, the ranger immediately fires an arrow at my wilder.
Ranger: [to the party] "Heh, can never be too careful." Wilder: [hiding behind a tree] "Whoa mate, check your eyes; I am not an orc!" Ranger: "Just because you're not an orc doesn't mean you're friendly!" Bardbarian: "She could be a highwayman, be careful." Wilder: "We met in town, remember? I was the one who suggested yew for your bow!" Ranger: "If you're friendly, why are you hiding? Show yourself!" Wilder: [Comes out with hands up; pointless gesture since I can kill people with my brain, but they don't know that yet] Dwarf: "I use detect evil." Wilder: [Is evil! And also has her imp patron following her without being aware of it!] Dwarf: "She's evil. Get her and her demon friend!" Wilder: "Wait, why is Char here? According to my backstory he- WHOA!"
Ashley is wearing a chain shirt, has 17 dexterity, and won initiative so she has her buckler out and is using Total Defense so her AC is... high. She danmaku-grazes through two sling bullets, an arrow, and two darts.
Wilder: "Please calm down! I just want to kill orcs with you and get paid!" Dwarf: "We don't work with evil people!"
Another round of Touhou dodging ensues.
GM: "Round three. Ashley's turn." Wilder: "I said CALM THE FUCK DOWN!"
I activate my Wild Surge and expend my psionic focus on my Psionic Shot feat and launch my Fire Ray at the ranger's bow. 5d6+5 damage.
Ranger: "You bitch! I knew you were bad news the moment I met you!"
They keep fighting...
I down them all in a single shot each. Including the level six NPC guardsman who attempted to intervene once it became clear that the party couldn't roll above a fifteen to save their lives. I suggest to the GM that the fire cauterized their wounds so none of them are actually dying, but he's a very RAW person and declines while pointing out that I was throwing entire virtual fistfuls of d6s. The entire party ends up bleeding out because -- surprise -- the chaotic evil character didn't think to put any ranks in Treat Injury. Ashley gave the fallen PCs the most respectful sendoff she knew -- burning their bodies in a massive forest file -- while speculatively wondering how that scene could have proceeded differently and not at all subtly hinting to the GM to rewind so we could take the scene again from the top.
The response to this was to start making the usual noises and ALL-CAPS POSTS about how I'm an edgelord and chaotic evil PCs should never be allowed and I'm terrible and awful for destroying their equipment and getting mad when they attempted to blah blah blah. I don't need to tell you what they said. I was just astonished, refreshing the page throughout the say as they rant and rave, all the while thinking to myself "I have Asperger's syndrome and even I can read the social cues better than these nutters."
They weren't even good roleplayers. I was throwing out paragraphs and they were writing two-liners. The ranger didn't even end his posts with periods. So when I refreshed the page and found I was banned from the game, I couldn't help but sigh in relief. What could I have even said to these people to justify myslef? "It's what my character would have done?" Because it actually wasn't; I was trying my damnedest to hold her back in spite of all possible reason to go full bore on the strangers trying to murder her!
I'd still love to play Ashley again sometime. I think she has a lot of potential as a character to explore what it means to be evil, how ever is often perceived by others, and how even good people can work with evil in pursuit of a greater goal.

my ex (24m) and I (22f) have been broken up since mid-April, due to him saying he can’t be in a relationship right now and that he can’t give me what I need due to the stressors in his life (alcohol abuse, losing an extremely close loved one, mental health). We had been together for 2 1/2 years, and had a really great friendship and relationship all in one. We truly viewed each other as best friends and rarely fought, and when we had disagreements we would always be able to talk it out.
He had always said how he’s never been with a woman that has treated him as well as I have, that he loves me and wants to marry, have kids, etc. We talked about future plans quite often. He was for sure a hard egg to crack in the beginning because he is stubborn and avoidant.
For half a year, he was put in the unfortunate decision of caring for a relative on hospice 2 years into our relationship and had to quit his job. I stayed, helped all I could, supported him and did whatever I could to make things easier with his situation. Come time that his relative passed, everything fell apart, including his mental health and our relationship. I wanted to continue to support and help him through the process of losing an immediate family member, and I knew that we were in for a ride due to this and that it would test our relationship. I poured a lot emotionally and financially into our relationship, and I wasn’t getting what I needed, understandably, because of the situation. We began bickering / arguing (never screaming fights) and our sex life was out the window.
He began working again locally, and I had suspicions about his one coworker that was an old friend of his because I found out he gave her his number at work, and he said it was strictly work related. This alone crossed a boundary for me but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I still felt safe with him.
Come mid-April, he breaks up with me and we go through the process of mostly no contact besides me picking up some things that I left at his house. Tears were exchanged from both of us during our breakup, and he made it clear that I’ve done nothing wrong, that he’ll always care about me, and be there if i’m I find myself in a jam. Four days later he blocks me on social media.
Later on about 2 weeks after our break up, I find out he is indeed having sex with his coworker that I had suspicions about. This hit hard and left me confused and assuming that his reasoning for the breakup was all a lie. A few weeks after discovering this, he comes to a mutual friends house that I was spending the day at, and pulls me aside to talk. We talk for 2 hours and he cries to me, telling me that he misses me and that he made a mistake, admits to having sex with his coworker and states that she is just some random girl, and that I am the only one he can see himself being in a long term relationship with. This conversation ended with closure that I so very much needed. He said he still needs time to work through his emotional health, but that he definitely wants to be with me eventually. I still love him, so I again give him the benefit of the doubt and believe his words.
A week after this conversation, my friend sends me a picture of a social media post that my ex’s coworker made. It’s them together in the photo, with heart emojis, etc.
I’m so lost and confused on how he could say what he said to me, but basically allow this girl advertise that he’s already in another relationship. I regret letting him back in and believing his words, and I am set back so much in my healing process because of this. I just cannot understand how somebody could cry and voice how they feel but continue to act like nothing has happened. I’m really getting exhausted of thinking about him any longer, it’s driving me crazy.
I am just struggling and feel like the closure that I got from our conversation is out the window and I am back at square one. I do still want him and only him despite all of this. I just can’t decide whether to reach out and ask him why he said everything that he did but still go and date someone else. I’m trying not to wait around for him, but this false hope is killing me.

I get discouraged when I get bodied and switch games. I’m trying to just buckle down and concentrate on one game for now. I have a PS4 and steam deck. I decided to try to get into fighting games again, dusting off these in the library.
I realize SF6 is dropping like tomorrow.
Here are the ones I’m most interested in:
DBZ Fighterz — for the IP. If it wasn’t for the IP I’m not sure I’d like it that much as I’m not crazy about 3v3 games. I’m worried if I invest a bunch of time into this, it will die off soon or another game will come out. (The trailers for Budokai 4 look pretty underwhelming though.) I’m worried, too, that being good at this game won’t transfer to other games since it was made to appeal to scrubs like me.
GGST - fun game. The online experience has been hit or miss so far. As much as I want to like it, I just don’t really feel strongly about maining any of the characters.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: it’s much easier to combo in other ArcSys games. I like the look and setting more than GGST. It seems really fun but I’m worried nobody (new) plays it. I’ve been absolutely demolished online. I figure since Rising is coming out it’s not that bad of an idea.
SF6 - I didn’t play the beta. Looks awesome but again I just remember trying for hours to link stuff in SF4 and being terrible.
Figured I’d ask a bunch of internet strangers for advice. I’m bad at fighting games and want to get better. I spread my time too thin. Any recommendations on the best games to play to really understand the fundamentals of fighters?

I’m a 33 year old Filipino woman who recently met a 30 year old Filipino man. We were set up by friends about 3 weeks ago when we met in person, and have been messaging daily ever since. The day after meeting up, we were messaging the entire day so I thought this was the standard. The following days however, it would only be for a few hours. I got used to it eventually and was just glad that he was still messaging me, as I haven’t been fortunate to meet anyone as a potential partner in almost 4 years. There are times where he would be full on texting me, then other times it would be hours in between. There were days when I would message him first and I would feel weird about doing so because it’s like, why didn’t he make the effort to text me first? Other than that, it’s been 3 weeks and he still hasn’t asked me out. The other day, he said something in reply to my flirty text that kind of threw me off. He changed the topic and then proceeded with not replying for a few hours. I messaged him again with an entirely new topic, which he again took hours to reply to. The following morning, it’s like all is well and nothing is awkward, but for the rest of the day, he took hours again to reply. And then yesterday, he didn’t message at all. I can’t help but think that I probably said something wrong, but my friends told me that it’s nothing to worry about. I wanted to try not messaging first, but it just made me feel really bad and really anxious. I tried telling myself that it’s okay, it’s just the talking stage, and I have no right to demand anything from him. But I just need the assurance that things will be okay. I really like this guy and he checks so many of my boxes. For context, he’s been single for 7 years. He’s preoccupied with work and has many hobbies, plus he sleeps very early so that he can wake up early to exercise. So I don’t have the privilege of having late night talks with him, but honestly that’s okay with me because at least I have time for myself in the evenings. Also, when he does message, it’s with so much enthusiasm. Even if it’s late for him, there were days that he would still message, just for the sake of asking how my day went, even if we didn’t talk the entire day, which I really appreciate. I’m also preoccupied with work as I’m a dermatologist, although I can’t say that I’m as busy as the other specialties since some days I just have clinics for half a day and I don’t go on 24-hour duties. My hobbies are also not on the active side, and requires a lot of alone time and time to think, such as reading and painting. Also, I’m a good texter. Like I can be very very busy and still make time to text with no problem. But, I would still rather meet in person rather than text. He knows that I’ve tried asking guys out before, and that I was met with rejection, so for sure he knows that I have no plans of asking him out at all, again for fear of rejection. Honestly, I’m too old for the games and the waiting around, but I know that I have no other choice but to be patient. All of these things I’ve already ranted to my trusted friend and her boyfriend, and they keep telling me the same things over and over, which I know are correct. But when I’m alone with my thoughts, I keep reverting back to my anxious self. It really bothers me that I feel like I’m settling for the bare minimum. Hello all. I've had 2 wyzecam v3's for almost a month now. One in front and one in the back of the house. Two weeks ago , about every 2-3 days the front camera goes off and I get
"Device is offline (error code 90). Please check your internet connection or power cycle the camera."
This never happened with the back cam. Both cameras have the same length cord, same SD card and all settings are the same.
When I unplug and restart the camera seems to work fine for another 2-3 days and then it randomly happens again.
Any ideas?

I have been the student with autism in the classroom. I am that kid who blurts out random sayings, things that don’t make sense and whisper to my neighbour “psst I don’t know the math question can you help me?” It has been such an alone feeling, I know that there is support out there, but for being a gay guy it’s been hard. It’s Been a long narrow road where I feel I want to be set up for success but I’m stuck with that teacher at the back of the room feeling like a student who is a loser and what is wrong with me? Well geuss what? Now I work in the education system in BC, and help students build the stamina that I have never had. I have set up a group where it’s called “ you are not alone” students feel better knowing “they have a community” and there not alone. I was about to do my 5th week of 60 hours, then my AtoZ app glitched and I can’t sign up for VET. I was frustrated because I wanted to work 60 hours again, then I came to my senses when I realized my eye was twitching since a week ago and my body and head ached for a while and I’m fatigued. A man named John will be managing the mechanism. Politely show him your badge (which must remain on your person at all times while at Emipheus) and explain your situation. He will let you. Thank him and walk into the building.
1C - Do not attempt to bypass traffic using rule 1B. John, and the other employees, will know of this disturbance and will not be happy. You do not want to see John unhappy. Wait. Your. Turn.
(Entering the building). Greet our receptionists Jade, Kelsey, and Moira. Look at their name tags, ensure you know who is who. Sign in on the kiosk. Re-enter the building when he tells you to.

6A - If there are no security personnel, find the nearest Superior and inform them. You may black out, but you will be safe.
(12:15 - 1:15) After the briefing ends, it’s lunch time. You can eat anything you brought from home, or you can go to the cafeteria. However, do not buy a snack from the vending machine on floor 2. We don’t know why it’s there, or how it got there. What we do know is that the food will make you very, very sick.
7A - Some days, the cafeteria will serve Hamburgers. Do not eat these. We used to have [REDACTED] cows. Chances are those are what the burgers are made of. Do not eat the burgers.
(1:15 - 1:30) Lunch ends at 1:15. At this time, you are to report to Lab 827, floor 3. Remember, this job isn’t just desk work. Be in the lab, cleansed and dressed, by 1:30. Don’t worry about not knowing how or what to do, there will be a human present to instruct you on the specifics of the cleaning procedure.
(1:30 - 3:00) By now, it should be 3:00. You have two hours to get any necessary work done. Record what you did in the lab, do more paperwork, speak to the Boss, maybe go nap if you have nothing to do and know the Superiors aren’t watching (you’ll learn their tells). Two years ago my brother (32M) and me (29F) moved from home. He went to Spain and I went to work in a different city. My mom (54F) was constantly worrying and asking if we got home from work -she’d do this daily, ask us to share our location on WhatsApp for 8 hrs, so I got the “brilliant” idea of telling her about the GPS apps that would tell you where someone is, their battery %, and some other stuff that the app can do.
This might seem too much, but I really don’t care if she has my location. I live in third world country and I’d like for them to find my body if I get killed (this is the reason why I suggested the app, and for them to stop asking me where I am-it does bother me being asked though).
Was all “fine” (in quotations because she’d still ask where we are) until she included her boyfriend in the family circle. I liked him before all this, but he would obsess about this app tapping on the message for “charge your phone” at least 3 or 4 times each time my phone was about to die. If by any chance my app wasn’t working, he’d ask in WhatsApp and go off about how much this app is for our safety. When they do this I delete the app for a day or two out of spite and lie about not knowing why isn’t working, as I did two days ago. I feel so much better I don’t think I’ll download it again and I told them I think they are trying to control too much. She used the “you don’t love me” card, but I stood my ground. As of him, he sent like 4 paragraphs explaining the importance of them knowing our whereabouts.

TW: impending animal death
I love my dog. She is almost 17 and grew up with my son. She is the light of my eye. She has been going downhill and after what we think was a seizure last week she started going downhill fast. I may have the times messed up, days are a blur.
This was her 4th episode and our vet called it an “old dog syndrome”. Every time she got a little bit better but not all the way better. This has been over the course of a year. I’m not convinced they aren’t seizures.
Our dog cannot ride in a car. She used to love it but now she hyperventilates. She has an issue with breathing sometimes because of some issue she developed recently and she was too old for surgery. So basically we have to keep her calm or she gets worked up and can’t catch her breath until we can calm her down.
My son has never known life without our dog. They were both babies when they met. He also graduated from high school on Friday. I knew after this last episode it was time for her to go over the rainbow bridge. I worked it into casual conversations so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to my son.
Here is where I fucked up. I called and scheduled an in home euthanasia, along with a paw print and hopefully it will be a peaceful and loving passing. My vet said he could do it that day or when he gets back from vacation on Wednesday. I said I think she will be fine a week and we will plan out this epic week.
For a couple days she ate steak every night and loved it. She was drinking in her picky way but drinking as normal. We have ice cream waiting for her.
She refused food and water a full day. I said shit and tried everything I could to find someone who could come do an emergency euthanasia in home with no luck. I offered to pay double for people to go outside their range to us but no. We are on some cancellation lists but it is looking like our appointment Wednesday is the soonest.
The day after she refused to eat or drink I got some pedalite and a child medicine dropper. I’ve been giving her droppers full of pedalite and she has been responsive to it. She went pee 2 times, although today she hasn’t been able to stand much. I don’t think she will make it outside again.
She even drank some water this morning when my husband was taking a shower. I did give her a gabapentin because her body is giving out on her so I want her to rest. She has been resting and when she wakes up I sit with her and pet her, give her more liquids, and just love on her until she goes back to sleep or gets up and walks around for a bit. The walking is hard because she can’t really get up and falls a lot. Sometimes though she hops up and strolls down the hall with a pep in her step though.
I hate that she is suffering. I hate that I thought she would be fine for a week. I hate that I was worried more about her passing traumatizing my son than her actual passing.
I also wasn’t always the best mom. I always snuggled her at night so we had that going for us. I didn’t like to play, she has son and husband for that. She would try to get me to play but I never would.
I can think of so many times I should have taken her for a walk her I didn’t.
She had a joyful life. We spoiled her and took her on adventures. I feel like we each brought so much joy into each other’s lives, but I worry I could have given her a better life.
I don’t know how to process this while being strong for the family. Thank you for letting me get this out.

I’m kinda stuck on what to do here as I’m worried attempting to escalate this issue could result in me losing my job as technically the NHS bank has no obligation to provide work to bank workers.
I, 18M, have been working for the NHS for a few months now and I’m in between moving from one contracted post to another. I don’t have a contracted position at the moment, I only have a conditional offer of employment subject to a DBS check which is taking months. I’m currently on the bank and was regularly picking up shifts in my local A&E department last year as they needed the staff.
This issue began after a period of hospitalisation in early January. This was for mental health issues however, since then I have been treated and had my psychiatrist assess and determine I was fit to work with no limitations needed. I also had a meeting with the temporary staffing manager to determine what level of support I’d need. Further to this assessment and in line with the assessment sheet she had with her, we both agreed that as my issues had been treated and I was cleared by a psychiatric consultant, I did not need support and could return to work once I had completed some outstanding training competencies.
I completed these competencies in February and was all set to return to work. Went to book a shift and nothing showed up. Called the same manager I’d met with and she told me that an “issue” had arose and that it was being investigated. This was the beginning of months worth of fighting to get my job back, I was calling multiple times a week and was being straight up ignored. I’d call, they’d say they’ll get back to me, they never did. Eventually it got to the point where the manager told me she didn’t know what the issue was but I just couldn’t.
Finally I got somewhere and they said they were willing to clear the restriction if I agreed to work on 2 specific wards that were nothing like my preferred environment and were not in line with my scheduling requirements. I denied this and continued to press the “issue”.
This is where the discriminatory treatment begins. I finally spoke to a new start on the bank team who sympathised with me and promised she’d find answers, she did find those answers. The answer was that I was simply “too young”. I am 18 years of age. This is despite our earlier meeting where she went through the risk assessment form to determine what level of support I’d need to return to work, which was none.
Clearly there is an element of discrimination here, whether it is because of my age or because of my medical history I have my own opinion on but I’m trying to stay objective. The way I’ve been spoken to and treated just makes it all the bit worse. I am not too young, I am a qualified and competent adult who is wanted back in my preferred ward by the actual staff who work there. They are currently bleeding for staff and making urgent requests for staff to assist but I can’t as I’m “too young”.
I am now allowed to work everywhere and any time EXCEPT the place I had already established myself in and EXCEPT the times that I much preferred working. It is now very hard to find consistent work on a specific ward but I’ve been trying still as I have been out of work since January and have no income.
I absolutely hate the way I’m being treated however I’m cautious to press the issue as the bank office could easily just take away all shifts as they have no obligation to provide work as I’m not an “employee”, just a worker. I do know however that this doesn’t allow them to discriminate against me based on either my age or my disability status. I am disabled however this has no bearing on my ability to work. The way I’ve been spoken to by this manager is horrific and it’s as if she thinks she needs to treat me like a toddler.
What course of action can I take that doesn’t put my current situation at risk? I only need to tide myself over till my DBS comes back and I can start a contracted job at a different hospital under the same trust, however the shifts I was doing on bank was a way to make ends meet, I was enjoying them and it is not something I want to give up easily, should I wait until I start or can I take action now?
