2023.03.20 17:39 Code_Of_Law_91 Installed Game Unable to be found.
So I have this game ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 2’ that I purchased through the PlayStation store when I had PlayStation 4. Once I obtained a PlayStation 5, I did the whole transfer of games from the 4 to the 5. All the games that I previously played on PS4, that I wanted to play on the PS5 worked perfectly fine except for one. Cities Skylines worked, GTA worked perfectly fine but Star Wars Battlefront 2(SWB2) became the issue. So it says that I have the game installed, but it’s not highlighted so I can click on it. I’ve went and tried to delete the game and it’s saved data but still no luck. I can’t even find any of its data so that I can actually delete it completely and reinstall it in hopes that would solve the issue. Now I’m in a pickle I’d like to get out of. Besides currently sitting on the phone with Sony waiting for a representative to help me with this issue, anyone have any advice?

2023.03.20 17:39 Pinapple-Cinnamon26 How do I join any cleaning campaigns
So I travel a lot. I want to know is there any tool/website that shows any ongoing cleaning campaigns whenever I am visiting a new city. Ideally it should provide the contact details as well, but something which just lists the campaigns (name, date and location) will do too. Thanks in advance!

2023.03.20 17:38 PMouldo Guilt living abroad
Hey all, I'm from Peterborough, UK and live in Berlin, Germany. I have been living in Berlin with my wife (Hungarian) now mostly from late 2015. I'm 29. Honestly, the life we live here is brilliant. We love the city, we have lots of friends who are like family, we both have decent jobs, our rental apartment is secure and stable, albeit on the pricey side, and we both speak German. We love life in this city, the ability to ride bikes everywhere, the holidays in Brandenburg, the cultural opportunities etc etc. We're also close to starting a family, maybe in the next year or two. However, I especially "suffer" from quite bad homesickness whenever I am actually visiting the UK, which is usually around 3 to 4 times a year. When I visit, I am lucky to WFH at either of my parents' places, which means I can stay for longer than a weekend. The journey to and from UK-Germany is not bad. I usually set aside half a day in total whether its train or plane, depending what's more comfortable and the price etc. But, as I said, I suffer pretty badly from homesickness. When I'm in the UK, I usually see all the positives and imagine a parallel life there. I then begin looking at jobs in the UK, and places to live etc. It's always the same. I then feel terribly guilty about living abroad and I think about all I am missing out on: the closeness to family, the overly friendly people :D, and also some kind of "normal" life that I could be leading. I end up in a right state. When I'm back in Berlin, it usually takes me a week to recover and then I'm loving life there again and not thinking so much about living in the UK. Honestly, I'm not sure why I posted all this. I would love to hear other people's experiences and if anybody feels anything similar, and how they manage it or what decisions they made. Lastly, I totally understand the privileged situation I'm in, and I understand the point that all things are relative. Nevertheless, feelings are real and I would love some support and words of wisdom.

2023.03.20 17:38 Faster_Faust New to drifting.... and stick.
I recently moved to a city with a drift scene and I've been wanting to try out it. I was looking at picking up a project car to work on with my kids that we could take to the track on the weekend. Id also be using it to get to work a couple days a week.
But I've never really driven stick shift. I've heard it kinda sucks to drive one in a city and was looking for insite from the community. I found some one selling a clean 1985 BMW 325E (E30) for 7k that I was looking at.

2023.03.20 17:38 badpeaches Why doesn’t he identify with what he was born as?
https://i.redd.it/6a1p4oo8kroa1.jpg https://www.reddit.com/WhitePeopleTwittecomments/11vpp4p/why_doesnt_he_identify_with_what_he_was_born_as/ Long the subject of rhetoric, migrants have now become props in political theater
BY JAMES BARRAGÁN SEPT. 22, 2022
A long-reliable political playbook of highlighting immigration in election season has been escalated by Govs. Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis.
For five months, Gov. Greg Abbott bused migrants to Democrat-led cities to draw attention to the number of people arriving at the Texas border.
He began with Washington, D.C., then expanded the busing to New York and Chicago. At least 11,000 migrants have been removed from the state, by all accounts voluntarily.
But an attempt by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to deploy the same tactics last week took the issue to another level, when the state flew planes to Texas, allegedly lured migrants onto the flights by promising jobs, housing and services and a free trip to Boston, and then left those migrants in Martha’s Vineyard, an island resort town about 100 miles away. Three of those migrants have now sued DeSantis in federal court.
In one way, Abbott and DeSantis are following a familiar playbook: Find ways to put immigration front and center in election season to take advantage of populist backlash. But some say the transports have brought the country’s political discourse to a new low by using migrants as props in political theater, and not merely subjects of rhetorical attack.
“To me, this is just really crass manipulation of people. It does speak to our values,” said Jim Harrington, the retired founder of the Texas Civil Rights Project who has worked on immigration issues since 1973. “The idea that you could play with people in the way he did.”
Abbott’s office said Texas played no role in the flying of migrants to Massachusetts. But it has caught similar backlash for its recent push to send migrants in buses to Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Washington — a stunt that Harris is unlikely ever to have seen, given that the vice president’s residence is within an 80-acre scientific and military compound, the Naval Observatory.
“She’s the border czar, and we felt that if she won’t come down to see the border, if President Biden will not come down and see the border, we will make sure they see it firsthand,” Abbott said. “There’s more where that came from.”
In November, Abbott is seeking a third term, and DeSantis a second. Politicians have frequently used immigrants around election time. In 1994, California Gov. Pete Wilson ran ads depicting migrants crossing the border during his reelection campaign. More recently, Donald Trump’s successful presidential run in 2016 began with his denouncing Mexican immigrants as “criminals,” “drug dealers” and “rapists.” Abbott himself ramped up his attacks on “sanctuary cities” in 2017, the year before his first reelection campaign.
But while those efforts depicted and discussed the immigrants, the use of actual migrants themselves has disturbed scholars and observers who see it as just the latest in a series of collapsing norms that are eroding American democracy.
Donald F. Kettl, professor emeritus and former dean at the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, said the latest transports represent a “dramatic escalation in the use of immigrants as a political tool and a political symbol.
“One of the things that’s happened for sure is that immigrants as human beings — the notion that they have needs or problems they’re trying to escape and their aspirations to create a new home in the U.S. — has been pushed aside by the idea to create a mega symbol and use them as pawns that are being moved,” Kettl said.
“It’s a truly awful way to treat human beings and it’s an effort for sure to push the needs of human beings aside to try to score political points.”
Jennifer Mercieca, a Texas A&M professor who researches political rhetoric, said the transfer of migrants to a political opponent’s jurisdiction follows a rhetorical tactic called “reification” where people are treated as physical objects whose feelings don’t count.
“There’s no concern in the plan for the migrants and their well-being and their welfare,” she said. “It’s, ‘how can I use these migrants to score a political point against my opponent?’”
Abbott and DeSantis have said that they want to force Democratic officials, starting with President Joe Biden, to take action. But Mercieca said that is belied by the execution of the programs without any proposed solutions.
“These aren’t about policy solutions,
but instead they are about generating political spectacle. They are about creating dramatic events or ‘pseudo events’ that have to be covered,” she said. “They gotta stick it to the other side. They gotta show that they’re tough. They gotta have victory.”
Those “pseudo events” are aimed at controlling the narrative as both governors seek reelection and an opportunity to grow their name recognition, possibly in anticipation of a 2024 presidential run, Kettl said.
The polls show why that might be advantageous for Abbott. Over the summer, much of the political discourse in Texas focused on the school shooting in Uvalde and the overturning of Roe v. Wade. A recent University of Texas/Texas Politics Project poll found that more Texans trust Abbott’s 2022 challenger Beto O’Rourke on abortion issues — and they are evenly split on the issue of gun violence. On border security and immigration, on the other hand, Abbott holds a 12-percentage-point advantage.
But Mercieca also noted a change in how far politicians are willing to go to get their point across and how much the public is willing to tolerate.
“A stunt like what Abbott or DeSantis has done would have made zero sense 10 years ago, 15 years ago and 20 years ago,” she said. “That wouldn’t have resonated with a more general audience. But today’s audience loves that.”
That’s partially because cable news has become hyperpartisan, pressuring politicians to take dramatic and even extreme action to get attention.
“It’s a vicious cycle,” she said. “They’ve radicalized the audience that has in turn radicalized them.”
The movement of migrants has also drawn comparisons to painful parts of U.S. history. As news of the Florida flights spread across Massachusetts, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library published a tweet comparing the effort to the “reverse Freedom Rides” of the 1960s.
“To embarrass Northern liberals and humiliate Black people, southern White Citizens Councils started their so-called ‘Reverse Freedom Rides,’ giving Black people one-way tickets to northern cities with false promises of jobs, housing, and better lives,” the library’s account tweeted.
But those jobs and opportunities did not exist and instead left the Black travelers stranded away from their homes.
This week, PBS broadcast the documentary filmmaker Ken Burns’ latest project, “The U.S. and the Holocaust,” which chronicles America’s refusal to change restrictive immigration quotas to help refugees, even as millions of people fled Europe before and during the Holocaust.
Harrington said the use of migrants to score political points shows a new “callousness” in how Texans view immigrants. Just 21 years ago, a Republican-led Texas Legislature approved a law to allow undocumented youth who grew up in the state to pay in-state tuition at public universities. Following the escalation of the migrant movements this month, no Republican elected official has spoken out, nor have major business or civil leaders.
“A lot of people are sitting around talking about this and bemoaning it, but where is the leadership that helped shape and form our humane response as a democracy? Where is it?” he said. “We are so fractured right now.”

2023.03.20 17:36 SirJosephGrizzly New book that focuses on rural Ohio
Hey guys, I’m an author from Pike County!
A few weeks ago, I released a collection of short stories primarily set in Southern Ohio. The stories are genre-based (mostly horror or at least supernatural, often with quite a bit of humor sprinkled in.)
The book is tailored for Ohioans/Appalachians in general. There are also tales set in Kentucky and West Virginia as well as general stories that are set elsewhere but the Buckeye State gets the most love by far.
Some of the subjects include a trip to the county fair, a stressful family vacation to Myrtle Beach, nostalgia for semipro/minor league baseball and flea marketing. As I mentioned, these stories were written to keep you guessing where they go.
I’ve hit up a few subreddits of large and mid-sized cities in the general area and have had some luck so I figured I’d post one last post on the main Ohio sub. I’m particularly interested in showcasing this book to people in smaller and more rural towns that don’t have a dedicated or active subreddit since I think that’s my main demographic.
Here’s what I’ve been doing elsewhere: if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, leave a comment and I’ll send you a message with details on where you can find it. This is my way of asking you for permission instead of dropping a link.
Thank you so much for your time.

2023.03.20 17:33 Dayspring83 Should I Give the Daevabad Trilogy Another Shot?
I’m about 175 pages into The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi and I’m LOVING it. The writing, the story, the characters, the witty humor and audiobook narration is just excellent so far. A few years ago I started reading City of Brass but just kinda bailed on it halfway through. I just remember feeling meh about it and picked up something else to read.
I’m a firm believer that sometimes it’s just not the right time in your life for a certain book, so for those who have read City of Brass and The Adventures of Amina Al Sirafi - are there a lot of commonalities in what you loved between the books?

2023.03.20 17:33 scd2ngt I'm seeing him again
I was abused and raped as a child by my uncle from ages 4 until 8. I'm 21 now and haven't seen him for 4 years. He is married now and has 2 children. A family friend died and my mother needs me there but he will be there also. We travelled to our capital city and I want to be there for the funeral but my uncle who did all this will also be there. I have complex PTSD from what he did and I'm in therapy since I'm 16. So like almost 6 years now. I'm better but I still want to die because I see him again. He is like the monster in every nightmare for me. I just can't stand him breathing the same air as me. Or looking at me. And then there is the fear that I missed him. That he groomed me so much that he made me miss him. Even tho he did things which none should do with a child.

2023.03.20 17:33 Jealous-Audience8439 Texas Ebt question
So I originally got an apartment for my previous college in another city but then decided to go to community college and live with my mother. The complex wasn’t helping me find a takeover so I stopped paying In October (started In July). I applied for ebt around the same time but never updated it in October since the apartment was still in my name. I was getting 50 a month plus an extra 231, since they are not giving extra money, I’d only get 50 a month now. I read that I could get more as a college student and I never originally put I was to begin with so I thought I could now and I’ve recently lowered my hours at work too which would help as well. But then when I went to update it asked when I stopped paying the apartment and when I became aware. If I put the truth am I gonna be charged with fraud? And if so should I change it all and just take the loss?
Before anyone comes at me for “stealing”, I worked full time in July and my income only covered my apartment and car so I needed ebt. I didn’t change it in October because I started using it to help my mom and sisters pay for food since the state of texas thought she makes too much money and rejected her.

2023.03.20 17:32 dreamcicle11 Match Day Blues and Also Greens and Yellows from an MD Graduate Spouse
To all those who went through Match this year, congratulations you made it through! Whether you matched, SOAPed or otherwise, you came out on the other side. Things may or may not look how you had hoped. They sure didn’t last year for us and definitely not this year. My husband applied ortho last year and did not match. He was able to SOAP into a surgery prelim spot in the city I loved and where my family lived. It allowed us to spend our first year married together after being long distance for the majority of our 8 year relationship. He reapplied general surgery and thankfully received more interviews but still in the single digits. We learned a lot from the process last year. How to network, how to actually prepare for SOAP, reflected on what he and I really want out of our careers and lives together. He thankfully had two interviews in the city we are in. One at the program he is a prelim at. He has worked so hard this year and grown so much. But has faced numerous obstacles yet has shown resilience and humility throughout. So when the months plodded along and it seemed he would not match there, it was pretty devastating, so we prepared for the worst. He received numerous interviews in the NYC area. We visited last month. The consensus was that we hoped he did not match there but would be grateful for the opportunity.
Fast forward to last Monday and we were over the moon. He matched. He was going to be a surgeon. I had spent weeks looking at houses in our city where he ranked number one. Spent some time looking into other areas such as NYC and what that might look like but didn’t think it would happen. I probably got my hopes up too high. Got realtor recommendations, looked into physician loans. Looked into how to manage my fibromyalgia with pregnancy if we did plan to have a baby in the next few years. I even looked into pizza ovens we could build on our backyard. And if it was in the other city at the of his rank list, that would be okay too. His family was moving there and already had a lot in the area. The cost of living was similar to where we are now.
Friday comes around. I am anxious. He was on one of his vacation weeks, so we were at the beach. I walked the beach at 6:30 am, got coffee at 7, walked my dog and went to Target to get supplies to make him a poster for where he matched for that oh so coveted Instagram post. 10:55 am CT rolls around. I yell for him to get out of bed. 10:58 and the email is here. I can’t open it. He clicks it and says nothing. I look over and read the email. I was devastated. Felt like our life together that had just begun was over. Our dog is 8. What would we do? My grandma is almost 88. I take care of her and my brother with autism. I can’t just up and move them. My career is also here. I began catastrophizing. I cried all day. Overwhelming doom consumed me. I felt jealousy that his co-residents and peers got to stay here and matched their top choice. It felt so unfair.
Saturday and Sunday were better. We talked through things. What felt insurmountable became difficult. What became difficult became a challenge. The challenge became exciting. I still am sad and grieving the life we could have had here, but I truly believe where he matched is a wonderful fit. I have an incredibly supportive manager. Wonderful family. And we are excited that we will get to see friends in the northeast that we never get to see. I also miss Connecticut pizza as that’s where I did graduate school, so now it’ll be a train ride away. Life will look different. I will be on a plane every few weeks and not get to see him every day. But we are grateful he matched and to have each other. I am grateful for my therapist!!!
This post is for the families of the newly matched residents. I see you and am here if you ever need to talk! Congratulations to all, and I am so incredibly proud of you! We will get through this even if there seems like there isn’t much light in the never ending tunnel that is residency and fellowship. If you are having a difficult time, please reach out to a loved one, faith leader, and/or mental health professional. Take the time you need as your feelings are valid. But you got this!
Sincerely, Wife to a future surgeon and re-applicant and soon-to-be NJ resident

I've been doing this long enough that I'm no longer interested in the same 4 people my gp has to refer me to, been there done that. Even she told me to take some time to find one and that that was a good choice and told me she can keep giving me my regimen in the time being. It just seems very difficult even though I live in a populated neighborhood outside a large midwestern city (St. Louis, MO). I look on sites that supposedly tailor to making it more easy and streamlined but in the end they recommend like 3-5 people only per site. I frequently look at reviews because what else is there to base things on and some of the time or half the time there's these psychotic / jokey / malevolent sounding reviews. that literally sound like a bot or someone came up with that any doctor, dentist whatever imaginable can use.
as an example on healthgrades for a psych, just one of several in the past: Dr. _____ is an amazing Dr. as well as individual. She listens well. She listens to how I feel and respects my decisions. She offers good advice . I feel very respected. She is kind , very knowledge and helpful. One of the things I like most about her is the compassion she has. When I converse with Dr. _____, I feel understood. Another reason I think Dr. ______ is a wonderful Dr. is that she’s such a positive person . She always encourages me to Believe in myself.
I am genuinely curious because once I see that I'm already turned off

2023.03.20 17:31 d4everman Skyway city the safest neighborhood?
I'm guessing that if you could get the statistics Skyway City is the safest part of Paragon City. Playing new alt I noticed that missions I get from contacts in Skyway City are mostly for things in Steel Canyon and King's Row.
It's like the contacts are like "Well, our crime rate is low compared to those other places, so go help them out. We'll be okay here.".
I'd say Skyway is probably safer than Atlas Park. There are people getting mugged in the parking lot of City Hall, there!

2023.03.20 17:31 Stock_Gur_5118 Day-14( One day Working in business and the next day my graphic designing class)
So, My father started this pharma business..4 years ago and there is no growth..I mean literally, we are just able to meet our expenses..Wait a minute, not even that, This was the primary reason for my depression..Before that..My father used to work in a big corporate company..He was 2 promotion behind to Become GM of this company..But the job was very stressful..And we could see the stress and anxiety at his face so, at the age of 46 he started his business..My mother and my sister..We all used to live in a big city before ...Now we have shifted back to the same small city where I used to live 5 years ago..The culture and the people, To be honest , I don't like it at all..And the reason why I never went to the father business..Because it is of sales..And I hate sales job..I find that job the worst.I mean if I have to convince someone to purchase my service or a product, In a room giving a presentation..Then it's fine..But the job is like I have to go to the doctors office and convince them to prescribe our medicines to their chemist..I don't like it at all.. Anyways Today was the first of that job I went there with my father he gave the presentation and I drove him around all the doctors..So yeah it sums up the work that I did today.. Byee and Have a nice day
