Hello all. I am extremely late to the House of the Dragon train, as I usually am to things. This has more or less reignited my passion for the whole series both television and books. Therefore, I was hoping to find a partner to write with that would help process my new found guilty pleasure.
I am hoping to do something with House of the Dragon/Dance of Dragons era since that's where this new obsession started but honestly, I'm cool with any point in the series. Please note that I have more knowledge from the show but I do a shit ton of research and I am currently working on reading allllll the books. Hopefully that doesn't win me some haters. I have a fair bit of knowledge regardless.
I am hoping to do some OCxcanon but am down for OCxOC dynamics or could be persuaded to do some canonxcanon stuff if someone has something in mind.
Partner requirements include being 21+ as I am an older woman myself. Please do not be afraid of my multiparagraph stuff and be willing to at least put in effort to your responses. Also be open to OOC talking as I love discussing stuff with my partners and theory crafting/writing headcanons with people!! This will all take place on Discord or Google Docs. Hi again!! Currently in the works planning a post-grad trip with my besties. As an attempt to learn more about MS (a friend was diagnosed with it, sometime in 2021?) I've been lurking here. I thought I'd hop in here to get a little bit of a background on how MS would affect her travelling experience; before I spoke to her to understand the points she brings up and to have it be a fun time for everyone. I know experiences aren't universal, but I'd love to learn more to best accommodate her.
Here are a couple of questions; 1. What activities do you find most immersive and accessible (she has a diverse set of interests and is into everything other than spiders and tiny holes)?

Do you prefer travelling out of the city or within the city; if it's a long drive, how does MS affect you and what helps you cope?

Is there any way I can get supports to start on the actual print rather than start on the bed to support overhangs? I will link a photo (in comments) of what I am trying to print as an example (obviously I can print it on its side) but I still have the issue of the mounting holes on the backside for the screws not being supported then.

There have been so many stampedes, crowd going out of control in different temples across India. There are no proper arrangements, no cleanliness, no emergency handling protocols. It’s just a mess, especially around important days.
People get pushed around by the security staff and temple personnel like cattle. You need to stand in queues for hours and there’s no arrangement for water or shade. However, if you buy the “prasad” from a vendor in the temple compound, they can arrange VIO Darshan and get you a back door entry - the police, the priests all help you get in, and sometimes even take you inside the garbha grah!
And a lot of times I’ve heard the priests chant mantras, they don’t even brother pronouncing those properly. They seem so uninterested in their job.
And if you are in places like Varanasi, Haridwar, you are likely to get scammed by pandas.
Not many people know, but the politics around who’s going to be the head of the temple committee, who’s going to manage funds, who will be a member, is pretty crazy too. I know people who serve on these committees, and like regular politicians, they have little interest in temple management and focus mostly on exercising the power that comes along.
Now coming to people’s attitude. I see people treating their temple visits like a holiday or picnic. There’s hardly any spirituality you can sense looking at their behaviour. You’ll see them throwing plastic bottles and garbage all around, spitting on the temple compound walls, fighting with fellow devotees, pushing people to get a “better darshan”.
I have also seen chappris filming women at Har Ki paudi, looking for prostitutes, smoking and coming drunk. There’s no action on them.
This is a rant, but I really hope for a day when our temples will return to their old glory, and their sanctity will be restored. I wish that it’ll become a beautiful experience visiting our holy cities, instead of having to deal with filthy streets, unruly crowds, crappy infrastructure, and chaos all around.

Looking over a friend's Astra, the ATF is black. It hasn't been serviced sinces who knows when. I know you can drain the sump, put 4 litres in the breather hole, drive around the block, drain and fill again. That would cost $140. But is a bush mechanic fix. Probably needs filter change as well, I don't know how much labour is involved in that.

Hello everyone. My fish(african cichlid) is sick and needs help, please someone tell me what is wrong or some recommendations on how to treat them. Please bear with me this will be lengthy.
Last week (the 24th) when I went home I noticed my fish was not its usual self. It was paler than usual, gills somewhat more red, some of its scales in its lower back were pushed out, it seemed like it had a hard time breathing and its stomach was barely sinking/concaving inwards. My parents did not notice a difference especially in the stomach but my sibling agreed it was acting strange. I did a 25% water change and usually it does not care when the siphon enters the water but that day it just kept chasing it and trying to shake against it.
The next day I knew something was wrong because the stomach was more notable, they were staying in the corner of the tank, they were not eating/pooping, and I was told they were not eating much for a few days. I know nothing about fish medicine so I bought a bunch of stuff: API General Cure, Seachem Garlic Guard, Seachem Focus, and Seachem Metroplex.
At this point I was not sure what was wrong because I was reading so many things and there were symptoms that matched everything. Like was it swim bladder disease, a parasite, infection, hole in the head, simply constipated, stressed?? And I am still not sure.
Last Saturday, I gave him the first dose of API general cure and added some aquarium salt. Still would not eat or poop. And the gills were no longer red but he now stayed near the top of the water. Sunday, I can notice more of the belly and usually I keep the flow of the hand on the filter high but I noticed he was kinda weak and being pushed back by the flow (broke my heart), so I turned it down.
Monday I had to go back to school and my sibling was in charge of him, they made sure to give the final dose of the general cure. Garlic guard arrived in the mail and my sibling soaked some pellets in it. Fish only ate 2 (I think this was the last time he ate).
Thursday comes around, gills are kinda pink, has not eaten the pellets with garlic guard or peeled+chopped peas that were added into the tank. Kinda leaning to the side.
Friday (the 31st), it has gotten bad. My mom called me saying she's worried since he's swimming on his side and is staying hidden in its barrel/ house.
Sibling calls me to confirm he's not eating/pooping and when it swims it can kinda do so normally but when it stops it starts to go sideways(basically laying down completely sideways). He's also breathing very fast and just does not look like he's doing well.
I am currently on my way home right now but I don’t know what to do or what is causing it.
I was thinking its constipation caused by overfeeding but then why is he on his side? Bladder disease/issue? But what does that mean? How do I fix it? I saw someone talk about epsom salt but will that not harm him? Should I stop using aquarium salt? I’m trying to give peas for fiber but he won’t even eat at all, and idk if I should keep trying to feed him because he's not pooping. Does the stomach indicate a parasite, bacterial infection, or because he's not eating?? Is there a fish vet I can call or something? I tested my water multiple times and it's all good.
Should I add the MetroPlex+focus+garlic guard? Anything you recommend?
I don’t know what to do. PLEASE help me. I do not care what I have to spend or if I have to skip classes, I just want him to get better, I don’t want to lose my little guy.

So I'm doing my first playthrough (picked up Forbidden West in anticipation of the DLC) and I just cleared Faro's Tomb, and I really gotta say - I think Guerilla Games dropped the ball there.
I'll spoiler tag this in case some mad lad ignored all the other warnings, but to have Ted Faro actually survive over nine hundred years as an immobile genetic monstrosity, waiting to meet his and Elisabet's "children," only for the game to never show us?
I think we deserved to see that! I think it would have been an absolutely perfect fate for a guy as despicable as Ted to be reunited with his best frenemy "Elisabet" in the form of Aloy, in all his Cronenberger glory, living just long enough to realize that their "children" see him as a monster.
Imagine a web of flesh the size of the reactor room, throbbing and cancerous, growing faster than it can rot, and suspended in the middle a warped body of a man, his limbs splitting into flesh-tendrils like the branches of a tree. You see only the suggestion of a face and a single eye remaining, as it looks up to see Aloy and says "Elisabet?" in pure, tragic confusion.
I would have actually cried. Instead, they drop the ball and never show you, and while there's value in leaving some things off the screen, I think this was a moment where we really needed to see it and confront it through Aloy's eyes.
Was anyone else let down by how that mission ended?

I’m new, mostly just have guns for the sake of them being super cool looking and fun to fidget with (also a little home def) but i really want something OUTRAGEOUS! i’m in cook country, but don’t want a shotgun. Something super big, giant handguns (no revolvers) or something along those lines, maybe a loop hole gun or something, just something huge, silly, and impractical, but still functional

Have a small space in my backyard (5’x20’ or 1.5x6m) that I want to build a small dirt track. Just basic with two lighly banked turns, a crossovebridge and some small jumps. It’s just for me and my three kids to have fun with.
My current loose criteria is: 1. 1/24 or 1/28. Think that would suit the track size best 2. Able to be MILDLY hopped up so I can cheat. BUT not so much so that I end up down a rabbit hole 3. Replaceable bodies so the kids can decorate their own 4. Available in Australia is a must 5. Buggy/truggy or shortcourse style
I use to be really into nitro rc but it was like 15years ago. And I’ve deliberately avoided following from the sidelines as I get really into hobbies and I already have enough. So budget friendly and being limited by the aftermarket is a big plus. That being said I would prefer something from an actual RC brand.
So far the team associated 1/28 range is the winner but open to suggestions. They just seem to be good bang for buck. The mini-z buggy is too expensive and Too upgradeable. Looking to buy four of the same or 3 the same and a similar(better) one for me

DREAM: me and jessica b went to london to meet this boy because i liked him and he was literally perfect. there was a park in the shape of a circle with a pond in the middle and around it but it wasn't that far from the train station so we walked there around 12pm and we met him (we've met him before in another dream or this dream but it had a whole back story) and he had a dirty blond hair and acne, kind of a big nose and had the kind of gym boy body. He had a green bag with a blue journal with a pen and a cucumber. When we got to him he gave me a massive hug and said something like 'hi again i missed you' and it was like perfect like yk the hugs when you sink into the other person it was like that. He was overall perfect like my dream guy. We walked around the park for a bit then we somehow teleported to the cinema and watch harry potter ( i think it was the 6th one) then something else. After that we walked around the park and we couldn't stop laughing, kissing and hugging. It was time for me and jess to go home so he walked us to the train station to get the train home. Suddenly a dragon appeared out of nowhere and was trying to kill me and jess, he pushed me into a little hole in the wall so i'd be safe (idk where jess was) but the dragon still tried to get me. It was tossing people around everywhere and eventually he got tossed to the floor and died. I almost woke up crying because in the dream we had such a strong connection like it genuinely felt like someone i love had been taken away from me. Even writing it now i want to cry.

Redness on shaft of penis in a few places with one significant white bump. Head of penis also has redness around pee hole and I’ve noticed a white bump that actually decreased in size in the span of a day. Going to get tested on Monday but without discharge can this just be anything?
