Create something for someone special, including yourself! was the title of the three-hour course I took.
The company is based in Lancashire and was started with you in mind. The course encouraged participation from both sexes and was designed for adults. All materials, including beads and tools, were included in the course fee, along with instruction and individual guidance from the instructor.

Slope of Learning

We were briefed on design fundamentals including using pliers and beads safely, the benefits and drawbacks of symmetrical and repetitive patterns versus asymmetrical and random ones, and where to find more supplies locally and online.
The instructor stressed the need of answering the seemingly trivial question, "Who is this jewelry for?" before beginning any design process.

What preferences of the individual do I need to take into account (in terms of color, material, and way of life)?
Then we were told to go crazy and have a good time. We were given free rein to make as many or as few jewelry items as we could in the allotted time.

It's incredible what may emerge from your mind and materialize in front of your eyes when you're faced with a blank area (whether it's a page or a beading mat). The size and color options for the beads supplied by Created for you were practically endless. Finding the best combination of beads was a group activity that drew on a shared sense of discovery and concentration. After some trial and error with beading mats and stringing and restringing beads, we figured out that jumping right in and producing a mock-up was the ideal method to manufacture jewelry.
We immediately learned a ton more about bead jewelry design through the process of trial and error. Little adjustments, such as those made to hue and presentation, can have a dramatic impact. Little seed beads, for instance, can be used to create a bit of breathing room in a design, relieving any sense of crowding, overcrowding, or fussiness that might otherwise arise. In addition, you can use their color to "bring out" or highlight the rest of the beads in your design.
Also, we got our hands dirty by crafting our jewelry. It's possible to alter the properties of a material or the final product by employing one of several distinct methods. To make a necklace, I decided to use a mix of soft turquoise earrings and shell beads, so I researched how to string them on silk thread and tie a knot between each one. The twisted silk reduces wear and tear on the fragile beads. The use of a silk thread necessitated my learning to use knot covers to hide the final knots in the necklace thread.

Identical Pairs

After finishing the jewelry class, I was motivated to finish the set by making a pair of earrings to complement the necklace I had made. With my newly acquired design talents, I fashioned a pair of earrings that were reminiscent of the necklace without being an exact reproduction of it. Many people have complimented me on my jewelry set, so I've worn it out. It's a pleasure to wear, and knowing that I had a hand in its creation makes it that much sweeter.

Hello all. I am extremely late to the House of the Dragon train, as I usually am to things. This has more or less reignited my passion for the whole series both television and books. Therefore, I was hoping to find a partner to write with that would help process my new found guilty pleasure.
I am hoping to do something with House of the Dragon/Dance of Dragons era since that's where this new obsession started but honestly, I'm cool with any point in the series. Hi A2C. I have been on this sub for quite a long time (since covid). My dream to go ivies were shattered in my freshman year when i failed my first ap. What kind of person goes to ivy and t20s??? Later on, I got my hopes back bcs i was acing in my ap courses and multiple 5s on ap. I made non profit organization, published research, worked in other non profit organizations, volunteered countless hours, had multiple contests for stem subjects (my school doesn’t even support any competitions (i had hard time finding one from out of nowhere)), played music instruments (I don’t even like), and etc. I took sat multiple times because i did not want to give up on my dream and i made it through the beneficial range for uni admission. My parents did not force me. They only supported me. I was also very driven to study the subject I like. When I received my rejections from ivies and stanford, i felt nothing as if I lost the sense of emotion. I was so calm until my mother cried. I calmed my mother by saying that i love my safety. I don’t know. Everybody thought I had good shots (i know nothing is guaranteed).Now people call me that i m mediocre student according to those who praised me for academic excellence. I gaslighted myself too hard that the school i committed is satisfactory. Indeed, it really is, but i have such superior complex that I don’t want to look down on ppl by school ranking or be in the similar rank with someone who i used to consider inferior. Anyways, I’m leaving a2c. Thank you. I love you. I hope i join similar communities for graduate school. Sorry I am letting my internal thoughts come out. 2023.04.01 09:55 Absolut1l Audeze Maxwell initial impressions

First I want to say, I haven't tested these yet gaming. I know, I know... It's technically a gaming headset. But I figure folks purchasing these are also very interested in using them for music as well as all the other aspects of the device. I will update this after gaming a bit more in the coming days.
Build quality: Solid. Much better than any headset I have ever had my hands on. In fact I'd say it's better than any headphones I've ever had as well. Very impressed. Ear pads are nice and thick but the material isn't as nice as other pleather materials and doesn't seem to breathe much.
Build Quality rating: 9/10
Comfort: Not great. The adjustment strap only has 3 settings and none of them work for me. There is no up/down adjustment on the head piece like most headphones and headsets have. I settled for using the middle setting on one side and the smallest on the other side. The smallest setting is way too tight on my head. the middle setting it feels like the headphones are sitting too low on my head with the tops of my ears touching the pads. Also, the headset is pretty heavy at around 500g. The pads are reasonably comfy and thick but they are made of pleather and get a little toasty. The clamping force depends on the strap setting and it apparent but not horrible. After a few hours this headset is way more comfortable than you'd expect after having read everything I just wrote. So while comfort isn't the best, it's not terrible either.
Comfort rating: 7/10
Features: Good but not the best. No ANC - that's fine, I don't need it. But competitors in this price range do have it. Sidetone works reasonably well and is an interesting addition. The built-in EQ settings are nice to have. The buttons and dials included on the headset are good - the dials have clicks and change in small increments. The buttons are solid. The Windows app is OK - pretty basic. Makes updating firmware super easy, has preset EQ. Would like to see something a bit more robust like SteelSeries Sonar though as I think this headset would benefit a LOT from parametric EQ tunes. Wireless works great and is very good quality.
Features rating: 8/10
Wireless: The wireless connection is solid but the range claim of "up to 3x traditional 2.4Ghz" is perhaps a little exaggerated. It cuts out in the same areas of my home that my 7 year old 2.4Ghz SteelSeries Siberia 800 does but it is still decent. The audio streaming quality is excellent as far as I can tell. no buzz, humm or background noise. The headset connects no problem to the USB dongle on both PS5 and PC. I have not noticed any significant audio lag which is a huge deal for me. Bluetooth to my phone and PC (not using dongle) is excellent as well.
Wireless rating: 9/10
Mic: Amazing for a headset. Noise suppression is good even without the active noise suppression turned on. Tested with a buddy that said I sound WAY better then with my old headset. Also ran a test and listened to myself. This is one the best built-in MIC's on a gaming headset I've ever hear. The mic is also detachable which is nice. Even the on-board mic's sound better than most gaming headsets I've heard.
Mic rating: 9.5/10
Audio: Excellent for a gaming headset. MUCH better than my old SteelSeries Siberia 800. I can tell immediately these are Planar Magnetic and not your run of the mill gaming headset drivers. However, I am comparing them directly to audiophile Planar Magnetic headphones that I have tuned with a parametric equalizer. So in that realm they are not nearly as impressive. For music I daily a pair of Sundara (2020 revision) running through JDS Atom DAC+/Amp+. I'm using Equalizer APO with Oratory1990's Harman curve profile with some minor tweaks. That setup, IMO, is amazingly good with imaging and clarity in every genre from the bass all the way through to the treble. Amazing mid presence without being "warm". It's hard to explain but suffice it to say I can jack up the volume on virtually any kind of music and not get fatigued, but even at lower volumes the detail is still there. The Maxwell is a totally different story. There seems to be quite a V-shape built into the tuning. The mids are suppressed quite a bit. The bass and treble are decent but the highs are quite fatiguing. I am not a true audiophile so it's hard to explain, but when I put on my Sundara I just get so much detail from the whole range whereas with the Maxwell I lose a lot of detail and a little clarity. It's not that the bass is overpowering or muddy which is the case with my Siberia 800, it's just that it gets beat to shit by my Sundara setup. To be fair, the Maxwell may EQ well but I don't see how to do that outside the tools Audeze has included as it's all built into the headset itself. There is no fine tuning the EQ in their app that I can see, only presets. Each preset seems to be a tweak of the default "Audeze" setting rather than a whole different tune. So Bass boost brings out more bass without impacting the rest of the sound while Treble boost does the same.
Compared to my old gaming headset the audio quality is amazing. Compared to my music headphones the audio is just OK. So I think if you're coming from any mainstream "gaming headset" to this you will be impressed. If you're coming from something like the HD58x, especially if you have that thing dialed in, you may not be quite as impressed. Not that the Maxwell isn't putting oujt good sound because it is. I think it's just the way it's tuned. Clearly the drivers are good and capable of very high quality audio reproduction. Not really a fair comparison I'm making but if you are expecting this superb audiophile wireless Planar Magnetic headphone out of the box and already have a high quality setup you may be a little disappointed.

Also want to note that the wireless audio sounds a bit different than USB. Not sure what it is but I think wireless using the dongle sounds better than direct USB connection.
Audio rating: 7.5/10 compared to my Sundara setup. 9/10 compared to other gaming headsets.
There you have it. My initial impressions. I'm going to go play some games now and see how it is. As a gaming headset alone I think the Maxwell is already a fantastic option even before I play any games with them. I also haven't tested the 3D audio stuff but I am in the camp that simulated surround sound is sort of gimmicky. I always got better directional audio out of stereo mode than with any of the virtual surround stuff. And the Maxwell already has better imaging and soundstage than the vast majority of gaming headsets out there.
Just remember I'm comparing these to actual audiophile headphones that have been tuned for music. EQ may really bring these to life in terms of the audio quality. I'm not a huge fan of the Audeze tune. If I didn't have my Sundara setup I think my perception of the audio here would be skewed much higher but switching between them I am not nearly as impressed. Beats the shit out of my old gaming headset though.

My first relationship in this life, my first experience in love just ended last night. We have been together in 8 months things were going great, we are actually getting more deeper in the relationship. Just recently at the start of the month (March) we had a conflict, its was about a cheating issue from me with my a friend from school that I'm not really too close with, but we did talked about some things. Me from my perspective I did not cheat, but i was being friendly in her in chat, I showed her everything we talked about online. she said that it was cheating,. I haven't talked to her about the people, friends in school. i always told her that I'am mostly alone, yes this is true. I lied a bit of not having friends in school because i dont feel like i will have a deeper connection with this people and also i thought that they are not really important people to talk about my gf.i approached casually a girl that is my only a friend, and i lied a bit of not having friends in school. I know to myself that i did not cheat, seeking other girl never came in my mind, but lying can also be considered a form of cheating right.
The conflict started at the start of March this yea, i have been trying to keep things together until last night. We talked, i explained parts of the conversation online with my classmate that is a girl. There is a part of the conversation where im asking the girl how is she because she has been silent in our groupchat, my gf asked why im asking the girl how is she. I explain to her that the same day in the group chat, everyone was worried of her the girl being silent so she(gf) gave me bet if what i said is true we will continue the relationship, if not true we will end it right now. So she said show me that in the group chat where everyone is talking about our friend that is a girl being worried for being silent, i agreed in the bet.
But i lost the bet, the one i'm talking about happened in the different day. I was talking about the wrong day. HVRGRGVUWEBEFWQUB *keyboard noise*. and so the relationship ended, i know i did not cheat on this girl, and iam never got interested in my friend in school in any way.
We are in the same circle of friends with my gf, i have known and met my gf since 2018,we just recently started. in our friends eyes Im a liar, lowly cheater. honestly im not worried or i dont even care about that much. what im worried is her condition (gf) she is tired in life,in the past she had suicide attempts, im worried, if she can do that in the past she still can today. A few years ago I (20M) was planning my life with the person I loved (22F) the most in the entire world but I started going through a deep depression due to the death of one of my close friends and while it was happening she suddenly lost feelings for me.
It crushed me that she just dumped me without any warning or attempting to try to go to counseling for the sudden change in feelings and I honestly just wanted to die and I even attempted to.
Fast forward to today, I am 26 years old, and things are looking up for me. I finally finished my degree and became a doctor - my dream job - and I'm making good money. I'm even saving up to buy a house, I'm able to help fund buying games to play with my best friends and everything is going my way honestly. But I just never got over her, she's the one who got away.
She started dating three of our mutual friends and ended up getting pregnant with the most recent one during the time we were apart. She recently separated due to cheating on his part and the reason why she said was because her physical and mental health has been declining a lot due to other factors on top of the pregnancy. We've started talking again for the past month and she confessed to me that she has feelings for me again and I want to take her back so badly.
But I feel like I just can't. The reasons why is because back then we had talked about starting a life together, having a family, getting married while my grandparents were still around and we can't do any of those things anymore.
Firstly, we missed out on starting a life together, and my grandparents - the only family I had for most of my life and they were the only I had left - both passed away a few years ago. They wanted to see me get married, and that's something we can't ever do anymore.
It was always important to me to have them be at my wedding since that was the one thing they said they wanted to do before they passed away.
It's also the fact I don't want to be the father of someone else's child. I know the reason is incredibly selfish and horrible, but I can't help how I feel. Being around them would be a constant reminder of what I never had with the person I love. I don't want to be an absent father figure to a child who did nothing wrong.
Also before you ask - we only ever wanted one child and her health conditions likely mean she won't ever be able to have another child again even if that was a route I wanted to try to take with her.
I'm struggling with what to do. Should I take a chance on love again, or should I move on and try to find happiness elsewhere?
She's still my best friend and I feel like a monster for the way that I feel and I just need answers. She's currently asleep on the phone with me and I told her that I'd need some time to think about how I feel.
tl;dr Ex-girlfriend wants to try again years later, but I'm torn due to missed opportunities and her having a child with someone else.

I feel like I don’t even know you.
How did I have a child with someone I don’t even know?
Now it’s too late. So many lies and so much deceit has been involved, I don’t even know if you happen to know who you really are. Which story am I going to get next. Which excuse. Are we having fun yet? Isn’t enough, enough? I don’t care anymore.
I’ve come to expect you lying to me and letting my hopes down. I don’t dream of you being on the other side of the door knocking anymore. I stopped answering my door for just about everyone nowadays, anyways.
I’ll probably never see you again, realistically speaking.
You’d of already shown up if I were going to. I don’t even know if I really care anymore. Part of me wants to see you, part of me wants to forget you’re alive and go back to thinking you’re dead.
Part of me still hopes one day I’ll come home from work and see you sitting on my front steps, like the vision I saw in my mind months ago.
Part of me wants to give up and no longer be here because maybe when I’m gone you’ll realize what you lost. Part of me wants to be selfish and take the option of you ever coming back by ending my own life permanently. I hope whoever you’re with is worth it.
I hope you love that person very much. You must, because if you didn’t you’d be here, with your little boy and I. You’d be here and we’d be making plans about our future. I don’t see any future for me anymore, so that means I don’t see one for “us”, either.
I stopped wishing for a life spent with you, and have gone back to begging god to just allow me to die so I can be with Dave.
He’s the only one who ever really loved me. It was only by death he would’ve ever left my side. He even loved my ugly personality. Yeah…I don’t think I’ll ever forget those words you said that day you left. I play it back frequently in my head, crystal clear as if it were a movie.
A lot of things you said stuck with me. Talk less to people. The only paths that people like us have are death or prison. How I am not a nurse and should go work at Walmart or McDonalds.
One day I’ll get my roses from you. I’ll probably be dead by that time, though.

I feel really lost. Not depressed just a bit stuck as if everything else is going on around me but I’m stuck just watching it go. I’m not great at keeping in touch with people and I hate texting. I guess I don’t text people because I don’t feel like I’ve got a lot to say? Like how are you aw I’ve been good you? And then I feel like the conversation would go nowhere so I just don’t say anything
Well it’s not got me anywhere great and I feel like I’m not a good friend to other people in terms of keeping up with other peoples lives. I would happily meet up with people every week and chat to them in person but just not a big texter.
Anyway my friend group has kind of went through a rift and now I don’t know how to fix it. I didn’t do anything drastic but I wasn’t there when people needed me.
I guess I’m trying to write this out to figure out if I can just suddenly be this person who messages people more but then I feel like it would be so weird for other people, they might be like what’s got into her? and it just doesn’t come naturally to me

Hi everyone,
This is a long story so bare with me! If you don't wanna read my whole story than please skip to the part where I give my tips and the things i learned doing keto for a few months now.
I am doing keto since January 9th. The reason I started doing keto was because I really needed to lose weight to be granted help at a fertility clinic.
So in short: We are TTC for almost a year right now without any luck. The last few month's my panic grew because i knew most people would be pregnant by now. So I was looking for some information on fertility clinics. I was 'lucky' i have a good friend who needed a clinic to conceive two times and she was treated at a very very good clinic and was very happy with them. I looked at their website and googled some more and I found out that in the Netherlands you will not be treated with a BMI of 34+ and I knew I was balancing on that BMI.
Also I am diagnosed with a slow working thyroid and diabetes and I was using an insulinpump because that was the safest way to treat my diabetes while TTC. But my allergy for the pumpglue grew. I really had burning wounds under the pump and there was no place at my body that was undamaged. I knew it was time to do things differently and I started eating keto again. I had a few year before with amazing results but I stopped at 4 months because I found it hard socially (eating out, eating with friends/family). But now I had a lot more reason to start again (TTC and my diabetes).
I started at a weight of 107.5 kg (237 lbs) and a BMI of 35.7 My first goal was to go below a BMI of 34 because of the fertility clinic. The first 2 weeks my weight dropped insanely fast and I lost 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs) and I was very happy and motivated. Also, i found out i could do without insuline! DISCLAIMER: Don't stop with your insulin without consultation with your doctor!! But for me it worked. In 2.5 weeks of keto mijn sugarlevels were healthy and I am not using any medication right now. I could not be happier. But then I plateaud in my weight. I lost a few pounds but also gained or stayed at that weight for a few weeks and I was really demotivated. I wanted to see results. But i would stick to the process. I knew I didn't need insulin anymore which ofcourse was a huge win.
My next goal was to be below 100 kg. Which ofcourse, when you use lbs is a lot different. But in kg you can go to a 2 number weight. And that was a huge symbolic goal for me. And this morning I was 99.7 kg and I am so so so happy! I am out of that 3 number zone. Ofcouse I know I will gain a big of weight again and I will fluctuate but I am below that 'magical' number and I am very happy!
So for some motivation for you: - I am almost 3 months keto right now. Eating keto has not been hard for me. I love me some fats and I never had a sweet tooth. If you do; allow yourself so use some sweetners, not sugar but ketofriendly sweetner. That is perfectly fine. Your body needs to adjust and to be honest: I still use some sweetner in my coffee of yoghurt. Nothing wrong with that even though a lot of people will tell you that. You CAN use that. Don't make things to hard on yourself. The keto adjustment on it's own is hard enough.
- Know that the first few weeks you can lose a crazy amount of weight, which is lovely. The hardest part is when your body is getting used to eating keto and you plateau. It just happens. It can be so disheartening but know that you are doing the right thing. It comes and goes in waves. Look at the longterm results.
- As a female, you deal with your hormones your whole cycle through. And I found out that for 1.5 weeks around my ovulation i gain weight. I really dislike it and it makes me wonder if I need to do something different. But I chart my weight through my whole cycle and every time it is the same situation. Like 1 week before my ovulation I gain weight and 0.5 week after my ovulation. After that I drop weight like crazy without changing anything in my diet. It just happens. Also for this I will say: Look at the longterm results. Compare your weight to 4 weeks before and not a week before.
- And the most important tip I have for you is the next one. TRUST THE PROCESS! You are doing the right thing. You are eating healthy. You are nurishing your body. That is the only thing that matters. Eating healthy should be the goal, not a way to get to your goal (losing weight). This mindset will change so much for you because you won't 'fail'. It is easier to say: My choice is to eat healthy and if I achieve that, I am happy with myself. I knew we all want results like losing weight but that should be a byproduct. Because you feel like sh*t if you don't lose weight for a few weeks. But that WILL happen. Don't give up because of that. Think of all the good things you are doing to your body. That is all that matters. The weight will follow. It will! But don't make it your endgoal.
Thank you all for the great advice and tips I got here, you really pulled me through the tough days and you will continue I'm sure. I hope this could be of help for some of you too!
