Yesterday before going to work my husband said I hit him that morning and told him to “get the fuck away from me”. I don’t remember doing any of that, but he said I looked him dead in the eyes while in bed and told him that. This was in the morning and I was asleep.
He demonstrated how hard I hit him and I shoved him fairly hard. I did not know how upset he was until he came home, told me about it, and didn’t want to talk about it because he needed time to process. He’s had an abusive dad and some of his exes has hit him in the past. I would never lay a hand on him. I wouldn’t even hurt a damn fly.
I’m now scared of myself when I sleep and don’t know what to do about it. I feel depressed and now I’m scared of falling asleep in fear of what I can do. I also feel this has put somewhat of a dent in our marriage. It’s going to take a long time to get over this for both of us.

So, I'm a freshman at university and I live alone pretty far away from my hometown (think other side of the country). Today, while going home, I found the tiniest kitten on the sidewalk with no mom cat or other kittens around and no one knew where it came from. It was shaking from all the loud noises and I felt really bad just leaving it there, especially running the risk of it being ran over.
So, I grabbed it and brought it to the vet to get checked out. It needed milk, and some medicine for its eyes. All in all, the vet took 40€ from me, and it was an impulse decision to pay it because what else was I going to do? Dump the kitten in the vet clinic and run off?
I took the kitten home and put it in a box as I searched for someone to take care of it. I would keep it but it requires constant attention and expenses, which I can't give because it's exam season, I'm a broke uni student and I'm expecting my adopted dog to come within the next weeks. It simply wasn't an option.
So, in my blind panic on what to do, I called my mom, who lives halfway across the country. The second I told her I found a kitten, a flip switched and she went off, yelling at me about being so irresponsible. Then, I mentioned bringing it home and the vet bill and that's what did it.
She cursed me out for being so stupid and wasteful, because in the past I've developed skin irritations due to touching a stray kitten and it took me months to recover. Admittedly, I should have thought of that before handling the kitten with naked arms and legs and letting it roam inside my house for a bit. She yelled at me for being idiotic enough to bring so many germs in my home and wasting money.
The call ended with me in tears because she told me she'll be pulling me from uni next year and that she regrets ever trusting me. She told me to get rid of the kitty immediately or she'd force me to go home the same day. I lied to her that I did, which I still feel guilty about. It's been a day, and I'm still feeling fucking awful.

Is there a Checkpoint mod (cheat) that allows you to skip them? The reason I ask is that I was in an online race yesterday at the old airstrip and saw someone miss them and not get respawned.
I was racing a pair of Ford Lightnings (husband and wife, their usernames match up except one had Wifey on the end). Horizon Tour CO-OP 3 race, Cross Country. To set the stage, myself and the 2 Lightnings were P1-3 the entire time for all 3 races...nobody else was even close after 30 seconds into the race.
The first race I was leading and pulling away, but then both of them caught up together, I overcooked a wide sweeping turn and went off course a little and they went by me. I got it together and started chasing them down. They were slightly faster on the straights but I was better in the corners and from start launch. Long straight after my corner mishap and they gapped me, I gained on them but couldn't overtake before the finish, got P3, behind them by a few seconds. I thought that I'd seen them cut a fee CPs but shrugged it off.
Second race was a figure 8 circuit, short straights, my advantage. I took P1 fairly quickly with the Lightnings P2 and 3. The corners allowed me to gap them further and I had a good lead into Lap 3. But about halfway around the P2 Lightning was within striking distance, out of nowhere it seemed. I pooched a corner and the Lightning was now only a fee lengths back. They passed me on the final longer straight before the last few corners, I pulled them in on the corners but could get around on the final finish straight. I took P2. Didn't see if missed CPs since never behind them until very end.
Final race is at the Airstrip. A Lightning and I are side by side at start, make our way through first few CPs but looked as if they cut inside one but wasn't definite. Stayed within a few lengths of each other the whole race, me in P2. We gap the field but I can't overtake him, too fast on the longer runs and not enough tighter cornering for me to take advantage of. But then halfway into Lap 2 appears the 2nd Lightning right on my tail. This is when I saw obvious missed CPs with no penalty (respawn), and they missed by what would be at least 10-15' on one and 5' on another if irl. The 10+' on was on theist big sweeping corner. I was on the inside just barely inside the CP and see them to my far left barely missing the inside trees coming by me. She (its the Wifey) goes wide in the turn exit and I pull up next to her. We head into Lap 3 and she cuts the first CP by at least 5' and overtakes me. This one was so obvious that they slowed up and fell in behind me, as if they'd been caught cheating. They didn't even challenge me the rest of the lap. I finished P2, never caught P1 Lightning and was totally distracted by what just happened.
I had a convoy teammate in the races with me, but not real close by to witness this also, but they did say it seemed the Lightnings just took off at some.ppint and were way ahead and on my tail...he was getting beat up by the AI most of the time.
I don't know if they had Speed Hacks also and sparingly using them, but they were definitely skipping/cutting some CPs. Don't think desync can be that bad, do you?

Part 1
It’s been a day, and still no sign of anyone coming by. I was really hoping to be writing this in the comfort of my home, but apparently there’s other plans for me.
I’ve been out of food and water, it’s all back at the campsite and I can’t rightly go back there.
I guess I’ll keep on reliving what was going on, maybe that’ll make time pass faster.
Ivy and I had dashed away into the woods, the late evening sun rushing through the trees alongside us. We heard the panicked yells and footfalls of our friends as they also fled, and we knew the ranger would likely be close behind us.
As fucked up as this is, I could only hope and pray that he’d follow after them instead of us.
We ran for what felt like an hour, but from the lack of darkness, I know it couldn’t have been that long. The sun was going down slowly, lazily, like it does in the summer. At least Ivy had killed the guy’s ATV, he’d have to follow on foot…
Although with how big the fucker was, his strides were probably long enough that was a negligible issue. Shit.
We stopped for a breather, the woods still eerily silent. We could no longer hear screams, or hurried footsteps. Just our breathing, trying as best we can to keep quiet.
After some time, we started moving again, slower now. The light was starting to fade, and we decided our best course of action was to try and walk back to the cars and go get help. Of course, there was hardly any signal at the cars, and absolutely none once we got into the woods proper, but we hoped we could get through to 911, if nothing else.
I looked to one side as I stood up, and on my left, I could see a phone flashlight cutting through the branches, bobbing with each step. From where it was being held, it likely wasn’t tall enough to be the officer. I squinted, and once it got a bit closer, I could make out the distraught features of Greg, Jeremy’s brother. His girlfriend, Loretta, was close behind. Both of them looked like they’d been crying, which was… understandable, I guess.
Greg looked at Ivy and I, squinting past his light. “You guys seen him?”
We both shook our heads, and Loretta rolled her eyes. “I told you we should just go, Greg.”
He snapped his head back to her, a glare on his face. “We all need to get out of here, babe. I don’t wanna leave anyone behind.”
Before Loretta could respond, the sound of metal scraping on metal was heard, like in a movie when a knife is pulled from a sheath. I turned my head again, and saw the large, imposing figure of the ranger.
He stood about ten feet off, holding a hatchet in one hand. “Hey, there, kiddos. Using lights at night in the forest can really disturb the local flora and fauna of this here forest.”
With that sentence that sounded straight out of a PSA, he Hurled the hatchet, the head of it finding purchase in Greg’s thigh. He let out a scream and collapsed to the ground, holding the handle of the small axe as he writhed on the ground. The ranger grinned, the last few rays of sunlight illuminating his face enough to let us see his sick joy at the turn of events.
Loretta screamed and bolted back in the way her and Greg had come, and he looked after her for only a moment, before looking at Ivy and I. “Go on, get the hell out of here! Go!”
Ivy hesitated for a moment, clearly wanting to help, but at the first footfall from the ranger, they nodded and took off, me following closely behind. As we took off, we could hear one last defiant shout from Greg.
“Fucking do it then! You goddamn freak! DO IT! Fucking ki-”
The word was cut off by the sound of impact on flesh, over and over. Eventually we ran far enough to escape the sound, and collapsed on the forest floor, breathing heavily.
We heard heavy footsteps treading, but not getting closer to us. They went parallel to us, eventually fading out into the night air.
We sat for about 20 minutes, listening for any sign of pursuit, or any sign of our friends. Right when we were about to get up and keep walking, we heard what sounded like a rope moving quickly? I can’t quite think of the words to describe it. It was close, we ran towards the sound and in about five minutes we saw Luke hanging upside-down from a tree, his bag resting on the ground near his head.
He looked at us as we approached, and quickly started shouting for help. Ivy and I both tried to shush him, but he wouldn’t listen, and we quickly heard the ranger making his way through the trees towards us again.
Luke seemed to realize what was coming, and he started screaming louder. Not for help, now, though. For Adam, for his mother, for God, anyone who could maybe hear him and send some giant eagles his way, so to speak.
The ranger emerged from the brush again, looking at his newly caught quarry with another grin. His uniform was stained with splatters of blood now, although his face was clean. His hatchet was tucked into his belt, now, and he was carrying a small bag on his back.
“Now, in this here forest we practice catch, tag, and release. These here snares are for catching, now I’ll tag, and then release.”
Luke tried to swing away from the man, but he reached behind the tree and pulled on a rope, and the snare gave suddenly, with Luke falling violently.
Due to his momentum in trying to swing away from the man, he didn’t land on his shoulder or have time to put his arms up to break his fall. He landed face first in the dirt, at a steep angle. His neck snapped, as did his back, and he folded over himself, his feet coming to rest near his head. His body gave one final shudder, and a wheezing, rattling gasp, before falling quiet.
The ranger cocked his head to one side, seemingly puzzled. I couldn’t help but think of a meme Ivy had sent me before this trip, asking why animals cock their heads when they see something strange.

The ranger coughed, still staring at Luke’s body. “Well. That, uh… Huh.”
He looked genuinely surprised, before shrugging and walking towards us.
Ivy, who’d been looking at Luke as well, a green tinge to their face, snapped their head up at the movement and bolted. I turned to watch them go, barely turning my head back to see the ranger swinging a fist at my head.
I yelped and dropped to my knees, barely dodging the swing. He snarled and tried to grab my hair, but I was able to dart between his legs and kick at the back of his left knee. He grunted and stumbled as I felt around wildly in the dirt. A solid stick, a rock, surely something here could help me…
The ranger stood back up, looming over me with a scowl. “Y’know, in this here forest we do our best to keep the paths clear. You’re not likely to find much that’ll help you bash my skull in, miss.”
He grabbed me by the shoulders and lifted me off the ground, dirt still between my fingers. Desperately, as he lifted me to his eye level, I ripped off his sunglasses with one hand, flinging dirt into his eyes with the other.
The ranger swore, dropping me and rubbing at his face. I took the opportunity and darted into the woods, in the general direction that I saw Ivy run.
Bedding down again for the night. Like I said, there’s barely any signal out here, all my calls have been dropping before they can get anywhere. Gonna try and conserve battery on my phone, keep my hazards on and hope that someone comes by.

Backstory: Keto (18+ months) for mental health, and I have some intestinal issues that can be irritated by carbs
Story: This morning, I attended a service for a family friend who had passed away from cancer. I was told that there wouldn’t be any snacks provided after the service.
I routinely fast, and for whatever reason, I woke up feeling hungry. Water didn’t quite cut it, and then I remembered that I had a pre-packaged blueberry muffin that I had saved from a while ago and stashed away for “sometime later”.
I know that I feel bad, mentally and physically, when I eat carbs, but damn it, I wanted that muffin. So I made a calculated decision and ate it with a bottle of cold coffee before going to the service.
The muffin was spongy and cakey, and I loved it. But at the same time, I felt bad about liking it.
My therapist, who is also keto, recommends abstinence from most carbs in my case, but has recommended practicing anti-deprivation eating as a backup plan if absolutely needed.
She can brush off an intentional cheat, and so can my mom, but cheating messes me up emotionally and I hate it. Why would I want to eat something if it causes me distress?
Then, at the service, I saw the sweets. So I took a chocolate chip cookie and a two-bite brownie. And that was that, or so I thought.
I got home, and my bowels didn’t appreciate the sudden intake of demon chow carbs, and promptly made their displeasure known. I don’t have IBS, but a high carb load can irritate my bowels.
So I ate chicken for lunch, and I’m going to have more chicken for dinner to get back on track.
I’m honestly unsure at this point about how much of my issues are physical and how much are mental, because I also have autism, ADHD, and depression/anxiety.
I fast because it makes me feel good, and because I can watch my calories, However, I can overeat at times because I can’t feel full, which my doctors think is neurological in origin due to me having brain damage from a birth stroke.
I hate it every time my parents point out that I could eat the tablecloth. It’s not that I’m hungry all the time, just that I don’t know when to stop eating. It’s like my stomach is an almost bottomless pit.
I don’t intentionally binge, but I have had two occasions over the past six months when I ate to the point of almost vomiting.
I’m thinking that this could maybe be some variation of an unspecified eating disorder, but I’m not sure, and I don’t know how to approach this with my therapist and psychiatrist.

I’m sorry this may not be the place for this, but it does relate to dating. I tried other subreddits but I’m asking for a “moral judgement” so it doesn’t allow the question. But this is specific to dating and I post here and I guess it is also a vent. I guess I should mind my own business but interested to hear what people say.
I split with my ex at the start of the pandemic. I found out he was having an affair with a colleague in other country. This was after months before he had gone there to do “research” and lived with her for a month unbeknownst to me.
I did not drag his name through the mud and with the pandemic it was easy for it to fly under the radar. I did tell a few friends, like D, what happened. I also mentioned how he could be very mean and she said she always thought he was joking and charming.
About a year and a half later, my ex and D start dating. I was very surprised but I know he can be charming at first, they have similar backgrounds and she just got out of a very challenging marriage (her ex had mental health issues, rarely worked, transitioned during the marriage, and behaved pretty badly when they broke up). I was dating someone and quite happy my marriage was over…
While I blocked her on fb, I didn’t give it too much thought although we are also neighbours. Ultimately he’s always been very negative, I was glad to get out of the marriage, and I hoped he’d be happier and a better dad with a new partner.
A colleague of mine and his tagged me in a post as my ex is again at a conference and out of the country for a month. I looked at the program and see he is there with the affair partner, and they are even co-facilitating a workshop. Yes, he’s doing it again!
I have some unresolved rage about that, I admit, as he frequently took weeks and months off, at great expense, and left me at home with a special needs child, “for his career” which I didn’t feel I could argue with, but ultimately a search of the venues and programs and it was all to be with this other woman.
Would I be an asshole if I somehow let D know he’s at it again?
I’m guessing yes. I just can’t believe he has the balls to keep doing this and having an annual month long fling with his affair partner.

Some important information, I had been an atheist long before watching any atheist content, about 12 years. So I've been an atheist since I was 10. I had been hiding I was an atheist that whole time.
First, I told my mom since I felt like I could trust her. Here's how it went. Me: Mom I need to tell you something. Mom: What is it? Are you okay? Me: I wanted to let you know I'm an atheist and have been since I was 10. Mom: Oh is that it? Because I already knew. I thought you were going to tell me you're gay. Me: Wait. You already knew? How? And why would me coming out as gay was what I was going to say. Mom: You never seemed interested in church, and were big into science. A big tell was when you asked me about evolution when playing that DS game scribblenauts. Me: Thats surprising but why were you thinking that I was gay. Mom: Because you always act gay with your friends, and I didn't think being gay and an athiest would bode well in the long run because you would face so much ridicule. Me:Silence
2 days later I told my Grandparents. Me: Hi Grammy. I have something to tell you. Grandma: What is it? Me: I wanted to tell you that I'm an atheist and have been for a while. Grandma: That's ok. I wont judge you, and I want you to know that your Grandpa and I will always love you. But may I ask why you lost your faith. Me: I lost it long ago when I realized faith is not a passage to actual truth. Grandma: I see. If its alright may I read a passage to you? In the end, I was surprised by my family's reaction because I was afraid they would disown me. That's the main reason I kept it a secret. After all of their responses, I feel better about myself and can't thank the people who gave me the courage to tell my family enough.

How should one deal with a lack of respect for time??? Being new to co parenting I find myself in a tough position. The man I am wants to walk away from it all, but having a child involved makes this impossible for me. I’m gas lite whenever I try to have a conversation with my child’s mom about her actions with accusations of “having nothing to do” or you don’t spend any time with him”. When I pick him up from school daily. Any suggestions???

She had a crush on me and I was interested but then she ghosted me?
I got ghosted - should I move on or try and talk to her again?
It all starts with a mutual friend of hours who happens to work at the same company as me. Me and him aren’t super close, but we’re what you’d call great work friends. He’s my favorite coworker, I see him on the way to work as he lives a bit closer so we usually meet up and walk the final leg. A coffee buddy, but not necessarily a go out party buddy or anything like that. He’s a few years my senior and has kids and a wife putting him in a completely different stage in life.
Anyway, the story goes that he mentioned someone who lives in my building I think he went to college with, but I get the impression it was more so a friend of his wives who also went to the same school. I had never paid attention to this girl, but seen her a few times around the high rise. You know like when you see a person and you’d recognize them, but wouldn’t do anything beyond that. I don’t recall if I ever even said hello. Again it’s one of those things, IDK why, but some people I say hello to right when I get on the elevator others I don’t.
He mentions her and how she said “who’s that guy he’s so handsome” and said she’s been crushing on me or a secret admirer I guess you’d call it. He first told me this at the end of April.
Well, finally I met her bumping into her I introduced myself we chatted for a couple mins and that was that. Again, a few days later I ran into her in the package room we rode the elevator up and just said hello. Not too much at all.
I felt like after the first interaction things were good, I think she knew I’d heard obviously what my friend had said but wasn’t awkward at all. We just smiled she said her name etc.
Next thing you know, she’s popping up everywhere on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, so a couple days after I see this I shoot her a follow request on Instagram. I check back the next day, still on requested. Then, the following day I go back and it says follow. WTF? Did I just get ghosted?
Also, I shot her a funny message on our housing portal app it’s like a community app where we submit vendor tickets, pay bills, and it has everyone’s contact in there where you can DM.
I sent one on there. A week later I’m sitting on ghosted 2x.
Eventually I’ll have to see her again simply by chance, but I’m absolutely going to take a backseat role here — right? My friend absolutely wouldn’t send me off, but we aren’t so close that I’d bother him over this. And based on the girls friendliness etc when we first introduced, she definitely seemed interested.
FWIW, I know she’s really close with this other girl I am friendly with who’s married. Me and this girl and sometimes her husband all keep the same schedule and she’s super friendly almost like she’s interested for her friend, if that makes sense. I haven’t seen her recently to notice any change in her attitude but will definitely be watching for it. I don’t even know her name, but we chat a lot when we run into each other.
What do my next steps look like? It seems obvious if she was super into me she would’ve at least replied to my message? Maybe too soon for IG, but IDK the whole thing seems off…
Honestly it won’t be awkward for me, but I feel bad if I did something that turned her away. I’m fine with just being neighbors at a distance.

So, yesterday my sister was helping me with some projects and was in my backyard, I was doing some things inside the house. I noticed that she was talking to my neighbor who has a three or four year old who was also playing nearby to where they were talking across the fence. I lost track of time, at one point I looked outside and didn't see her so I thought she might have left and I just didn't notice. After another hour or so goes by, I see her still in the backyard, playing with the kid through the fence. They were picking things out of the dirt, showing them to each other, supposedly looking for worms, etc. No parent in sight.
I eventually went outside and told her it was time for dinner, and I saw that the mom had left her child with my sister and had been power washing their back porch. This woman left her child with my sister for at least 2 hours, and even if she is comfortable leaving her kid around a stranger that long, she didn't think that maybe she needed to entertain her own child? Or ask if my sister needed to get back to her own projects? I know my sister could have walked away but she didn't want to be mean in the poor kid just wanted someone to play with. It just blows my mind, if I had been doing that as a kid my mom would have at least been checking on me, and after an hour or less would have told me I needed to let the nice lady work on her own stuff.

Sorry for my bad english (not my native language) and perhaps long story.
I understand that a lot of people have bigger addictions and I seem to be a somewhat "functional" fapper.
But I hope that I can inspire myself and other to finally get rid of all the habits. Since 2005 I think my longest streak without fapping is about 2 or 3 days.
So here comes my FapStory:
It all began in the great internet-era of Altavista and searching for Pamela Andersson Naked and see the lagging image rendering on the screen. From that moment on, I was hooked.
In the era of 2005 the video clips were becoming available for streaming and you did not need pirating porn (viruses). From this age, I was a very horny teenager but discovered quickly that people started to get relationships and lose their virginities. But I enjoyed playing sports and did "focus" on that and not chasing girls.
Around this time I also started drinking and going to parties.
At High School, I enjoyed life very well and fapped away on a daily basis. I had it very easy before in school, but now I started to slack in different subjects. But I had my sport and became better, and I did not even get hungover when I partied. Thus - I became somewhat popular. And I loved it.
I was still a very horny teenager and fapped as soon I got the chance. My class was 3 dudes and 22 girls and I started to becoming friends and partied with them. And they became very comfortable with me/us and well, they were also horny teenager - and at a party my sexual adventure began. At parties, between classes and after school, there always someone who would like have a quickie of some sort.
I was social and popular and people liked me, but I did not have a deep connection with someone or a relationship. I tried one relationship, but I missed all my classmates (hehe).
Between my sport, parties and the sex - I thought - This is the good life! Well, I could have not been more wrong!
After graduation everyone went away to college - expect me for the bad grades. My friends started going to college and I was left alone. The parties went on (with younger people) but the lack of intimacy began and I started to fap more.
I got a (bad) job, with bad salary, started to get more hungover and stopped connecting with my friends that did not go to college. I had contact with my college friends but I envied their education.
I started to get more and more depressed and went to my safe space - Fapping. And now was the era of Pornhub and other streaming sites and it was an open market to discover rougher and kinkier stuff and I lost my charm and charisma.
The depression went on to go on with the lifestyle of partying and "living life" I began to get a debt and when the "turnaround" in my life happend (thanks to my friends) I had a debt om 40 000 USD with bad loans and rates.
During this period I had a couple of sexual encounters, but not on a deep connection or someone I liked. (Or it was not like Porn).
I thank my friends today for wanting to help me and I felt ashamed.
So, I've always had ideas and wanting to do stuff on my own, so I started a one-man company. (Yes, this was before the Forex Traders/Guru Sellers/MLM People.) It went well and I started to pay of my debt slowly. But I worked. A lot. Grinding the hours. And to loose some steam - I fapped.
Eventually I got picked up by another company and my career and salary started to flourish. But again. Grinding hours. Loosing steam with porn. Sometimes going to parties/dinners and keeping contact with friends. Once in a while, a drunken One Night Stand.
It took me 5 hard years but I payed of the debt and has now a salary of 120 000 USD / year. (I'm pretty good at what I'm doing.) But the work needed me to mingle, connect, party and what so not. My calendar was always full and I did not have time to date (prevarication), so to loose some steam - Fappening. (The god damn bad circle).
Then I made another bad decision. I thought, I need to have some more sex and began to visiting escorts. (Great idea...not!) It was good in the moment, but afterwards it was a very bad call. But it's nothing like the next story.
I matched with a girl on Tinder and started chatting with her and it became clear she wanted. me to be her Sugar Daddy (2022, I was 32) and I loved the idea. It was awesome (I thought.) We met a couple of times and she unlocked some of my kinks I never tried before (Just fappening to it a million times) like being a dom and a bit rougher. It was amazing contra the one night stands. We had a "relationship" for about a year and I met another girl, but eventually it got boring again and it was like fapping.
This year I realized that even if I have a great job, overcame my debt is that I am a very lonely person and seeing my friends creating families and getting children makes it not better.
I also forgot to mention that a couple of years I took quite a bit of cocaine and other stuff aswell.
And now I realize that I was very safe and had my space of fapping and releasing (LOL) energy. So instead of dating, meeting women and creating a connection I just saw them as objects and trophys.
So, I decided to stop fapping, quit drinking and taking other substances and making something of my life.

Trying something different this time around as this is not a set hidden by Misko. Carefully read Robbie’s research regarding Zonaite processing to find the Zonaite Armor Set:
Zonaite begins as ore in a stone deposit. The trick to mining it lies in the wrist. Penance, alas, will come due for those who do not read my instructions with great care. To make your way up from this ore is quite complicated, so put on your listening pants. Start the pesky mining process simply by whacking the deposit, and so collapse the stone. Look closely and you will find what you’re looking for.
The next step is refinery, which requires a specialized tub. This tub is heated in the front to gradually melt down the ore. The first time I tried this, I put my ore in the refinery tub and the front erupted into flame, but I’ve moved up since then. Although I always wear a protective helmet just in case. Make sure to have a light cast on the tub before loading the ore to avoid my mistake. Again, follow my instructions to the letter and you’ll be successful.
The final step is the forging process. While it is nearly impossible to get ahold of a real Zonaite forge, I landed a deal with my old friend Quince, who helped me put together a makeshift one. Quince was actually the one who brought it up in the first place! Anyways, when depositing the refined Zonaite into the forge, be sure to wear the proper chest guard to protect you from your waist all the way to your neck. Ludicrous as it may seem, it’s very important in order to ensure your safety.

I’ve been on birth control since dec 2022, and overall it’s been great. I suffered from extremely painful periods and i was missing school and work because of them. Birth control helped so much and while I still feel a little uncomfortable and under the weather on my period it doesn’t impact my life at all. I’ve been on Altavera but I’m now switching to Amethia because it’s covered by my insurance and I wanted to start skipping periods anyways. AFAIK they are exactly the same except Amethia has the extended cycle.
Right after I started bc, I had headaches almost every day. I assumed it was just me adjusting to it. Around February they went away for a while, so I assumed I was in the clear, but since April they’ve been getting more and more frequent. The headaches aren’t particularly bad, just annoying and frequent, at least 3 times a week. I take ibuprofen for them but that has been becoming less and less effective because I take it so much.
I honestly will deal with the headaches because I’d much rather have them than debilitating cramps, but I do wish there was a way to lessen them. I’ve tried caffeine but that does nothing for me. Are there any other things I could try to lessen them?

I'm working on my research from a coffee shop known to be a hangout for University students, particularly medical students. Its the kind of place where if someone speaks out loud people would shush them. Almost like a library.
About a month ago I noticed a girl acting weird around me. She's pretty and all and had University stickers on her laptop. Guessed in her 20s.
I ignored her and kept working to meet my deadline. Until it was obvious to everyone in this place that she's crushing on me and it reached a point where I can't really focus on my work because she's almost on my lap. As much as I loved everything about her and the feelings she was giving me, I didn't want to engage in meaningless interaction and have a relationship just for fun. Until few weeks ago her friends were saying out loud that she wants a serious relationship that ends with marriage (we are middle easterns, go figure).
That was clear hint for me, so I took it. Said hello, and started talking...
I've been wanting a relationship probably all my life and I've approached many over the years. I kept my match range to 28-32 for the sake of age gap (I'm turning 40 in few months).
She's half my age, my friends told me if you find someone willing to be in relationship with you dont turn it down. My sister knows how long I've been wanting one but never been lucky. I'm not ugly, or bad in anyway. I guess it just was never meant for me to meet the right person.
I spent the past couple of weeks trying to overcome the age gap. And this girl is like a cat, whenever you try to send her away she would come back. Put that in broken lonely heart of mine context... its really painful.
Today, I learned that her father is one year older than me.
That crushed me.
Not because I'm giving up on the potential of us. But the fact that THIS is what I've lost. Having children. Seeing my children grow up in front of me. Seeing them go to University. Meeting their partners. All of that... all is gone. And I'm seeing in front of me what I've missed. And it wasn't missed by choice. I wanted it with all my heart. It just never happened.

I'm back after finishing Sky SC so these are my thoughts on the game and on these characters so far.
I have to say that I like how this game begins literally the second after the first one ends. I haven't seen many games that do that and it's definitely a great way to start.
In general, the pacing feels much more structured than in the first one and I like how it never feels like the characters are wandering without anything to do, there's always something going on, and since that was one of the things I didn't enjoy from the first I'm glad it got fixed.
I also feel like the story is much better, Ouroboros are a great cast of villains and I love how threatening they feel throughout the entire game. You can see how they're much stronger than the protagonists and how they're just toying with them every time they meet. And even when you finally manage to beat them it doesn't feel like the main cast is suddenly so much stronger, they won mainly because they outnumbered them and it was still a really close fight.
My personal favorites were definitely Walter and Luciola. Walter because his backstory is actually fairly tragic and I feel for the guy and Luciola since she feels the most evil of the enforcers (not counting Weissman since he isn't one) and I like a good female villain with little redeeming qualities since there aren't that many of those out there (I really hope they don't try to make her good in the future because as far as her backstory goes, she has no excuse for what she did).
Bleublanc was cool and I love how he had multiple riddle sidequests throughout the game but I feel like I just don't know enough about him to really like him, I guess that's part of his gimmick but I hope we get to delve a little deeper into his character in future games.
when it comes to Renne I just couldn't take her seriously, same with Joshua actually. I've always disliked the trope of literal children who are just extremely powerful fighters because no matter how they try to justify it it just never works for me and in this case, they didn't even try. They seriously expect me to believe that a 9-year-old managed to go toe to toe with Cassius and even gave him some trouble before losing? I'm sorry but that's just dumb, and Trails isn't the only series that does it but still, it's such a stupid trope. Her story was pretty tragic, and I like the character but I still find her kinda ridiculous.
Loewe was great only until his final fight with Joshua. I seriously didn't like how he switched sides so easily, this dude has been building his personal philosophy for years and he just decides to do a complete 180 after an extremely brief conversation with Joshua? Sorry but after beating that part I watched that scene on youtube a couple of times to better analyze the conversation and it just feels so out of nowhere. That completely ruined the character for me.
Now for the party members:
Olivier's twist about being an Erebonian prince was probably one of the best moments of the game for me, I never saw that coming since I thought he was just gonna be some important military or political figure but not THAT important. I also loved Zin's development during the game, he has become one of my favorites by far and I really wanna learn more about him.
Schera and Agate's backstories were presented in a great way. Their respective chapters were some of the best parts of the game by far and I've gained a much bigger appreciation for both of them.
Kevin was extremely intriguing and that last scene with Weissman (who was an amazing villain btw) was great. It seems like religion is a much more important part of this world than I initially thought and they can be kind of ruthless with it. Makes me wonder if there's something similar to an inquisition on the continent. Anyways can't wait to play with him as the protagonist in the next game since he seems much more morally grey than Estelle or Joshua.
As for the other party members, I don't have much to say since my opinion of them either hasn't changed or I don't have much to say. I will say however that a lot of people said that Kloe gets a bunch of character development here but I just didn't see it. I still find her kinda boring and my opinion about her is still pretty much the same.
A last thing I want to add is maybe something more personal but the romance between Estelle and Joshua just didn't click for me. First of all, I find it a little uncomfortable since they're siblings (yeah not related by blood but still) and also I just don't see why they like each other, it feels that during the first game, Estelle just gets feelings for him out of nowhere since originally she dismissed the idea and Joshua just says that he fell in love at first sight which is such a cliche and completely unrealistic. I genuinely feel like their relationship would've been much better if they built it around them being brother and sister and not lovers. But I guess that may just be me and I can kinda see why people may like this couple.
Overall I loved this game much more than the first one (which I already liked a lot) and I'm really curious to see how this trilogy ends. Thanks for reading.
Side note. Why is the next game called Sky the 3rd and not Sky TC? It seems like a no-brainer to me.

My JustNo brother has cut off contact with me when I refused to allow him to control me. He is currently domestically abusive to his wife.
I have been sending gifts to my niece. My kiddo just had her birthday and I thought surely my SIL at least would say happy birthday, but nope, crickets.
Do I send a birthday gift for my niece that could end up being thrown away?

We have seen the return of higher inflation of late - almost 5.0% annually. But that is NOTHING compared to the special inflation that appears from some SBs when you either offer to cover expenses (on top of PPM or allowance) or they ask for extra to cover "extra time" (like anything more than a very minimal 1 or 2 hours).
I wonder if the Fed has investigated this inflation, because it can get CRAZY high!
Like, I have had several POT SBs who say they need a babysitter, and while I was able to get babysitters for 8 to 10 dollars an hour, apparently now there was a thousand percent inflation since then, because more than one of them have declared that their babysitter costs a benji an hour! Damn, didn't know babysitters make three times as much as the average attorney! I guess we ought to tell our kids to rethink their vocational choices.
And now with our aging population, there are also the caretakers of the older generation - I wouldn't call them adult babysitters - but they make EVEN MORE! I just had a POT SB state that she was her grandmother's caretaker and that to get a professional to watch her when she was out costs TWO benjis EVERY HOUR! Ten times what a licensed full time home nurse would get AFAIK. Guess that is an even BETTER career option, well, if you get the licensing, that is. I mean, babysitters don't need any special licenses. And here I was thinking nurses were underpaid, and instead they make as much as an upper end lawyer or doctor in a metro area. Mind you, where this POT SB lived, was not a particularly expensive area, it was in fact, a backwater. Hell, that caretaker must be the richest person in that county!
I wonder what other SB themed inflation others have seen?
I mean, c'mon. If you want to ask for more for an allowance or whatever, fine, be upfront about that, but these sort of ridiculous charges, well, it just shows me the POT SB is a liar and just trying to game me. I mean, do they think I am stupid, with such rather transparent bullshit? I mean if one said they needed to pay a sitter fifteen an hour, or a nurse twenty an hour for time spent away, that is reasonable and believable. But really... a benji for a babysitter, two benjis for a nurse - PER HOUR? Like, no.

One thing that bothers me about a lot of JRPGs is that they load you down with a ton of interesting, diverse characters... and then you have to pick only four to use in battle while the rest sit on the bench. I guess this is okay if the total party count is 8 members, in which case you can swap people out depending on what skills are needed, but when it expands beyond that, people start to feel like dead weight. A new party member comes in, they have a little mini character arc, and then they're in the background for the rest of the game.
The worst offender I've seen so far is Trails of Cold Steel II (I haven't played III or IV though). In that game, you are absolutely loaded down with party members, but once you have a team you're comfortable with, you have no reason to experiment. It's kind of weird that they have go and have all these voice lines, unique skills, battle animations, and then a huge chunk of the cast just gets ignored. Not to mention, you're stuck with Rean as the main character, further limiting who you can actually use.
The thing is, I thought about this while playing Trails in the Sky the 3rd (an earlier game in the series), where there is a section where the two main characters have to take separate paths, and you're required to use EVERY character in some capacity. I don't know if there are going to be more sections like this, but in general it's a good idea that I wish games would expand on so we can actually use the party members.
The funny thing is, because Fire Emblem is a tactics game rather than a traditional RPG, the game mechanics mean you really are incentivized to use as many people as possible. The permadeath means that when someone dies in battle, you'll usually have someone to step in to replace them, yet you can't blindly throw people in battle expecting them to win. It's just a shame the stories of these games leave a lot to be desired.
Are there any JRPGs with giant casts that are properly utilized?

Foreword: This is going to be an in-depth opinion based on my 6 hours of playtime with the demo, and having beaten it twice, once with a motivity (strength) build, and once with a dexterity (technique) build. I ended up finishing the demo at level 30 in each case, with a +2 weapon. I don’t usually make long reviews like these, but I tried out the demo and felt compelled because I feel that this has the makings of a great souls-like, but falls short because it’s unsure of what to do with all the different mechanical elements it has and is unable to weave them together into a compelling combat rhythm.
My overall impressions are that the game has great potential, with a lot of neat ideas inspired by or reminiscent of the Souls games, but the elements here need more polish or a few changes to how they are implemented because they do not gel well together currently.
Starting with the great and the good:
The performance is very well optimized. On my Laptop (RTX 3060, 12th Gen i7-12700H), I was getting a very stable capped 75 fps at 1080p best rendering settings. (Could have pushed higher with some setting adjustments but I usually play Souls games which are capped at 60 fps and I was too lazy to overclock or anything like that). There were minimal graphical glitches, and I only really experienced pop in 3 times throughout my two playthroughs.
The atmosphere is pretty good, with the rain and “Victorian” cyberpunk aesthetic, and the bodies and bloodshed sell the feeling of a world gone awry.
The level design, especially the main level after you reach the Hotel is well designed and I like the enemy and trap placement, shortcuts, and use of verticality. I found myself looping back quite a bit, and mentally mapping out the locations as I did, and for a souls-like, that’s a wonderful thing to aim for in my opinion.
The enemy variety is decent, from the basic goons and dogs to the patrol officer mini-boss, enemies generally feel distinct and have different timings, ranges and hyper-armor to get used to.
It’s rather unfortunate then, that in my opinion, the combat system is not well tuned to get immersed in the atmosphere, level and enemy design. My negatives with this demo have mostly been with some aspects of the combat system.
Starting on the player side, the player has all of these mechanical elements to be considered when engaging in combat:
- The player has a “rally” mechanic on blocked hits, where you can regain almost all of your lost health back by attacking enemies after blocking attacks, similar to Bloodborne’s rally mechanic.
- The player has a perfect deflect “timed block” mechanic where if you time your block at the moment the enemy’s attack lands, you take no damage, similar to Sekiro’s deflect mechanic.
- The player has a dash step for a dodge when locked on, and a roll when not locked onto anything, again similar to Bloodborne.
- The player has a light attack, a heavy attack, a charged heavy attack, and usually the Fable Blade Art attack for their offensive options
- The player usually also has the Fable Handle Art for their defensive options
- The player has a Legion arm that can do a variety of things depending on your load out and is a tactical option to also be considered.
- Besides these actions, the player must manage health, stamina, the Fable Art blue slots, Legion bar for the Legion arm, and weapon durability
In these mechanical elements, my personal biggest gripe is that the dash step and the dodge roll feel very clunky, do not cover enough distance, and are generally not that useful in general combat or in boss fights. The dash step doesn’t usually get you far enough away from the boss’s attack to avoid damage, and seems to have such low i-frames that you cannot dodge into attacks with long lasting hitboxes reliably to avoid them either. The only real use I found for these is to reposition yourself around a boss, and that also only when you are far enough away to not get stuck in between the boss’s limbs. This made dodging seem worthless to even attempt in most cases, and I found a lot more success in trying to block and deflect instead.
This brings me to my second issue, and that is Bloodborne’s rally mechanic doesn’t really work neatly with a game that allows you to block, especially with weapons that can negate a lot of damage. On my strength playthrough, I found it a lot easier to block enemy attacks and then just hit them when they were in their recovery’s to regain the health, while on my dexterity playthrough, given that the rapier had terrible guard negation, I just fished for backstabs, or charged into enemies to stun lock them with light attacks and avoid being hit in the first place. In either case, the combat, for the general mobs, encouraged button mashing more than any tactical play.
Guarding on smaller nimbler weapons doesn’t seem like a great idea because you take a lot more damage and don’t heal back as much, which combined with the clunky dash, encourages you to rush a lot more into single enemies and light attack them to death before they can do much to you; while on larger weapons, guarding is too efficient, and given the higher stun potential, also encourages you to rally for all your health back after guarding to make sure that you don’t get chunked for too much un-rally-able damage given the slower startups. In either case, you are motivated to not be precise in your gameplay.
My suggestion to make this work better is to rework the rallying system to rally your health back on perfect deflects rather than on hitting enemies, and to improve the default evasive options (dash step and dodge roll) in their distance and i-frames. This introduces more options to be considered when playing tactically and rewards precise play. The question when making defensive plays becomes “do I avoid this hit by dashing, or try to deflect it head on to regen some health?”, instead of “I’ll try to deflect it, but if it doesn’t happen, I’ll block it and try to regen as much on my next offensive play”. In line with this suggestion, rallying should not only work for damage that you took while blocking, but rather for all damage, with the amount of health that can be rallied being set to the last instance of when you took damage (this discourages holding the block and just waiting for the enemy to finish a 3 hit combo for example, since the amount of health you can regen would decrease to what your health was when you got hit the third time).
The perfect deflect as it stands, is not well integrated into the flow of combat. It’s more of a neat bonus for when you blocked perfectly rather than a thing to try to master, except for the red attacks that enemies can do, or for when you are on low enough health that blocking instead of doing a perfect deflect will mean your death.
Speaking of well-integrated, the weapon durability system felt like a chore and actively detracted from the combat experience. For level exploration, this mechanic is entirely useless, since all it amounted to was consciously making sure my sword was durable enough after I cleared a group of enemies. In boss fights, all it resulted in was moving away from the boss and repairing my weapon instead of engaging with the rhythm of the fight. It’s just another thing to manage that forces you to take a break in between the fight for whatever reason.
This should be done away entirely in my opinion, but if the Devs do not want to, they should look for ways to incorporate it into the rest of the combat rhythm and loop. A neat idea could be giving the player a timed damage bonus, like 15 seconds or so at the instant their weapon is repaired to max durability. This now adds more tactical options to be considered when engaging in offensive plays/ capitalising on openings- “should I use this opening to heal, regen my weapon to max to get a damage bonus for the next opening, or attack and lower my weapon’s durability even further, making it more difficult to get this damage bonus whenever I try to repair my weapon next time” and encourages players out of the simple dodge and light attack playstyle that most souls-likes encourage.
Moving a bit into the enemy side, the 2 main elements of enemy design that require specific responses from the player are the red attacks for when they are doing an unblockable, and the groggy state, where they can be knocked down for a critical attack if you land a fully charged heavy attack.
The red attacks are well done for the most part, although it’s very apparent that these are just regular attacks that the enemy has that now just happens to be a red attack. I’d rather there be specific attacks that enemies and bosses do that are red attacks and nothing else, so you are not punished for not following your typical response on seeing an attack be unblockable when the exact same animation was blockable for an earlier attack. This is admittedly, a minor gripe and I understand that this is likely because of time and resource constraints, and so don’t mind it too much.
As for the groggy state, I really liked the idea of enemies being worn down and then being susceptible to a knock down and critical using a charged heavy. It’s also executed well enough in my opinion, as I never felt that my charged heavy was too slow to not get it in time. The state lasts long enough, and all my charged heavies were fast enough that with precise play, the mechanic was executable. My only gripe with it seems to be that when this groggy state occurs is unpredictable. It seems to happen around the half way mark for a mini-boss/boss’s health, but seems dependent on how often you’ve hit or deflected them, and with what. I think. I don’t know, because the game never tells you what causes the enemy to be groggy, or shows a groggy meter. I’m not entirely sure why this is. If the grogginess is tied to a hidden meter that fills up when you perform certain actions like hitting the enemy or perfectly deflecting, I’d rather that such a meter be made visible so it’s clear how close you are to getting the opportunity to do a critical, or at the very least, weapon blade parts have a grogginess rating to compare how much grogginess they cause in a hit.
One of the final elements of combat design that I want to focus on are the supporting elements for the combat system, namely the blade and handle weapon assembly system, the quartz p-organ “latent ability” skill tree with perk system, and the healing system.
The weapon assembly system is a neat concept, allowing you to mix and match weapon blades and their base damage and blade fable art, with the handle’s scaling bonus and it’s handle fable art. I have a few gripes with the execution though:
Outside of a specific blade fable art, or weight limitations, you’d just always pick the blade with the greatest base damage. On my dexterity (technique) playthrough, the rapier was not that good for boss fights in my experience, since your guard absorption was terrible and the tactic I used for the first boss was just moving back or out of the way of anything I wasn’t confident in perfectly deflecting. But having learnt of the weapon assembly system from my strength (motivity) playthrough, the second I got the item that allowed for me to assemble my own weapons (unlocked after the 2nd boss), I chucked my greatsword blade onto my rapier’s handle. And now I had an unstoppable weapon for use, having the greatsword blade’s reach, high base damage, and high guard absorption, with the rapier handle’s dexterity (technique) scaling bonus and quick move set. The game does try to combat this by giving things that have a high base damage extra weight and costing more stamina to swing around, and I think some weight-swing calculations too (i.e. the heavier your weapon, the slower you do the moveset), but it hardly mattered. At the end of the game, I could do a light attack chain consisting of 9 attacks with my rapier before my stamina was completely depleted. I could do 6 with the greatsword blade on the rapier handle, and before my rapier could do it’s 9 attacks.
Now I get that this is the Devs’ way to encourage different weapon combinations, but in my experience, this is going to result in a lot of people just using the highest base damage and/or guard negation blade on the handle that gives them their desired move set and scaling most inline with their character. This will hurt the build variety unless the skill tree with perk system and the fable arts can provide enough varied options that suit different combinations of the blade and handle.
I’m not entirely sure on how to combat this, especially since we aren’t shown the full extent of the perk system and the skill trees, so this is something that the Devs will have to think about on their own if they plan to do anything with it.
On a slight tangent, speaking briefly about the fable arts themselves, I did not find the majority of them to be very useful and so didn’t really use them all that much. They don’t seem to do a lot more damage than light or heavy attacks, and the defensive options either also require strict timing, or are no more useful than a perfect deflect.
As for the latent ability + perk skill tree system, we do not know the full extent of the available choices in this system or the amount of choices we’ll be given and so it’s difficult to review it, but one which definitely perked my interest was knowing that extra dodge rolls were an unlockable perk. I am not a fan of this direction. Personally, The i-frames of your dodge/dash, and the distance that it covers, like the frames of your perfect deflect, are fundamentals that the combat is built on, and should ideally be a well balanced and play tested unchangeable provided by the Devs, as opposed to an unlockable skill that players have to choose to grind for. This reminds me a lot of Dark Souls 2, tying the number of i-frames in the roll to a stat, and it was hated there as well. The other perks seem pretty decent, with things like getting more currency, or getting some Legion Ammo on killing things, or taking less damage while discharged/ in the middle of dodging are all varied, interesting and worth getting, and so the limited number of quartz and thus unlockables could make for compelling design and playstyle customization, provided that the fundamentals (dodging, perfect deflects, fable arts, etc. are all well-tuned by default design wise).
Speaking of the healing system, I like it for the most part, having finite healing but being able to regen one health potion by attacking enemies is well thought out, even if it is a bit clunky. If I could make any adjustment to this, it would simply be letting us regen health potions constantly when attacking, and capping the number of health potions as the game already does. I prefer this mostly because there is no explanation in game for why when we are discharged, we can regen precisely one health potion by attacking enemies and no more. What’s ideally wanted, just personally, is consistency or an explanation. The discharged state could also be made compelling gameplay wise, as the perk system alludes to, by having perks that lower your damage when you’re discharged. Other perks likes this could make for a compelling gameplay where you are constantly teetering between having one health potion and being discharged, and it would be interesting to see.
A final note on some animation clunkiness. The combat clearly seems to be built with a focus on deflecting more than just dodging, but your character does not have any way to cancel a stagger into a block like Sekiro does. This is relevant because some enemies in the game have attacks which if you get hit by, stagger you long enough to be hit by the follow up in the combo, with no opportunity to deflect, guard, or dash away. This is also true for when an enemy deflects you when you are using certain handles, most notably the rapier handle. This makes you get punished twice for making a single mistake, and that feels unfun to play with, and so you’d want to have a way for the character to either cancel their stagger early, or space out enemy attacks long enough that you can respond to the next hit in the combo.
Moving out of the combat discussion, I have 2 quick addendums which don’t quite fit in other sections imo:
1) The AI needs improvement for the 2nd boss and for other humanoid bosses that the Devs may intend to release in the game. This boss is too vulnerable to circling and back stabs, and the strategy is also relatively risk free.
2) The UI and menus feels very convoluted and need streamlining
