The rainy season from September to October is when Langkawi experiences its highest rainfall, which is why it’s the off-peak period. That said, don’t discount these months when planning a trip here either! Though monsoon rains can sometimes last for two to three hours, showers are usually followed by sunshine meaning you can still enjoy sunbathing and excursions. Background: Hi All! Had my 1st FET on Sunday June 4th with a 4AB PGT-A Euploid embryo. I'm doing a natural protocol, so only taking a 200mg of progesterone orally each evening. Currently in the waiting period to find out if Im pregnant or not (pregnancy test at the clinic on Friday June 16th).
Dreams: prior to this, I would never wake up and remember a dream. But ever since I started my FET process, each night I am having the most vivid/real/insane dreams.
Anyone else experiencing the same? Is it the progesterone?

Since the end of last year and the beginning of this year I’ve been applying to countless clinical jobs. It’s been absolute radio silence from all of them.
Now, school is starting soon and I have class 2 days in the middle of the week.
What medical job allows for me to take two weekdays off? All the ones I see are strictly Monday-Friday full time.
Clinical Research is out of the question because it seems you need 500 years of experience just to apply.
Same with CNA.
What options do I have left?

I’ve become interested in biostatistics after taking a class in it (got a B+) last year.
I have a undergrad degree in biology w/ a concentration in molecular bio and a minor in chemistry. And I have a master’s degree in biomedical science, which is where I took the biostats class. I really enjoyed the class, however, it was more of a statistics class with biological applications and we didn’t use programs like R or SAS, just Excel.
I currently work at a large CRO as a lab technician and I want more of a challenge and upward career trajectory.
My issue is whether I should go and get a second master’s degree or if I should get a certificate that will allow me to learn SAS, R, and clinical trial design. Any advice on what would be best?

"Why are you interested in osteopathic medicine and why are you applying to X college/school of osteopathic medicine?"
I'm leaving out the school specific stuff and I put asterisks around specific redactions:
"I was fortunate enough to have many discussions with **Dr. Glaucomflecken**, an alumnus of **X college/school of osteopathic medicine** while working in a primary care clinic in **big city**. He spoke about the osteopathic philosophy and the subtle differences between allopathic and osteopathic training. Previously, I was unaware of the osteopathic tenets and its core principles. We spoke extensively about the topic as well as the confidence osteopathic training has given him in treating patients. He explained osteopathy’s ability to supplement traditional treatment plans for patients that may be effective alongside pharmaceutical therapy. Through the conversations, I realized osteopathic medicine aligns with many of my own personal beliefs about health in the human body. My personal interests and research into health optimization as well as observing thousands of patient encounters in a primary care clinic have all pointed to how important systemic health is on both chronic and acute problems. Osteopathic medicine places the human body in high regard as capable of self-healing. The task of the osteopathic physician is to not isolate and treat a single pathology that a patient may be experiencing, but instead, remove the barriers that prevent the patient’s own physiology from healing. If you are in the position of having a Flexible Spending Account through your medical insurance…. Dang, are you in luck! Lots of small costs that add up quickly can be covered with FSA. It’s too close now to order from your FSA store, but if you have a virtual card or physical FSA card there are already tons of approved stores like Walgreens or CVS- even Walmart- that you can buy from. Whoever hosts your FSA account will have links on their website to help determine eligibility.
Thankfully Walgreens’ and Walmart app (websites for other store likely do this too) specifies which products are FSA eligible and you can refine your search by FSA eligible items. Please note that brand and items are very specific so double check! Be sure to keep all receipts in an envelope labeled “FSA Purchases YEAR” or email folder with the same title, just in case!
Below are some examples of items that will be very useful at Roo.

These days I'm so dismayed at my situation and find myself wondering 'What the fuck happened?'
I came from a well-off middle class family. I'm now 22 and struggling with housing and work. I had to start living on my own a couple of months ago and now have no choice but to move somewhere else or flatshare in order to survive, and even that is proving difficult. I have good qualifications but can never keep a job for more than a few months because I'm on the Autism Spectrum. I'm having top surgery in a few weeks (I'm trans), and while I have friends to help me recover I have no family to keep a closer watch on me.
Future is looking a bit bleak.
So how the fuck did I end up here and where did things go so wrong....? That's what I find myself asking.
My mom was always an abusive narcissist and never wanted me in the first place. That's where it all started. Dad and rest of family were passive enablers, plus my autistic traits.......All that did not mix well, for me or my brother. Childhood wasn't very good. From 12/13 I developed clinical (and I mean Clinical with a capital C) depression/anxiety and also gender dysphoria, and as I mentioned I'm on the spectrum as well. I did great in school but in literally everything else I was abysmal and thought constantly about suicide etc. Despite attempts to get help and teachers urging my parents to get me help they ignored all of it completely. At 14 my brother began retaliating violently against my mother's abuse, and over the next few years gave my parents Hell by assaulting them and causing thousands in property damage.
I kept my trans feelings at bay until I got my degree, after which I started dressing and acting like my true self. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. After months of further abuse by my mother, my grandmother let me stay with her. But eventually even my grandmother's actions took a toll on my mental health and I had to live on my own. Then recently I had to block contact with most of my family because of their anger and intolerance over my upcoming surgery.
I'm in contact with social workers to try and get some government help. I constantly feel like I'm an imposter or lazy, that I don't deserve any government help or resources at all. Technically I haven't consumed any government resources yet, it's just that my case has been followed for a long time now.
I feel so bad that I will likely have to make use of government services in my life due to my situation. And seeing other families stick up for each other and help each other when in need makes me feel bitter and upset.

• I know one young man who was born with a few medical complications and is half-blind and has trouble with depression, jobs and school. And his family really care for him. In contrast to me (ok I'm not half-blind), where any legit medical problems that were affecting my day-to-day living were just blamed on me or attributed to a weak mental state.
• I know some trans people and plenty of lgbt people who are accepted by their parents. And with trans issues especially, leaving dysphoria unchecked can really cripple us. In the meantime, my family didn't even accept me wearing the clothes that I felt comfortable in.
• The girl I'm dating is autistic and a lesbian and always had the full support of her family and a government program for her executive functioning problems. She was fully accepted and helped for her autism while my parents attempted to hide my diagnoses and pretend it never happened and continued treating me in a way that's not even acceptable for neurotypical kids.
• My brother is a violent, debatably dangerous shithead and he still gets to live with my parents rent-free.
• Then again, I do know someone with an IQ deficiency who is dependent on the government to live and looks to have been entirely abandoned by his family.

I don't want to get to a point where I would need government housing, but my entire family literally won't accept me living with them. One of my grandmother's has a sizeable house, but is so disgusted by my transness that she can't even look at me and constantly insults me. My other grandmother has a large house but constantly cries and argues over my transness. My aunts and uncles value their private space too much to take me in. I can't go back to my parents because my mother is abusive, does shit like throw away my clothes and stuff and my dad won't stop her.
I grew up in financial security, in a well-off middle class family. I had a computer at 6 years old, we had 3 TVs and my dad tried to put an AC in practically every room in the house, my dad would spend 400$ on just a casual food trip and 'treat' us at restaurants. As kids my grandparents would take us lots of places and treat us, and we'd all go on holiday every 2 years. And all of that never made me happy, and I'd have happily traded all of those material items for a loving family. Scratch that: even just one person who would have acted like a proper parent to me.

Give me your video resources for these! I've read the ATI pink book for fundamentals and emergency care, but it must leave out the things I am lacking. I have 5 days and just want to sure up these subjects.
Weirdly I am scoring high on Medsurge, OB, and Peds in Uworld. But I know that fundamentals is essential for NCLEX.

Holy crap... You'd think I was either still in clinical training or just out of school. I've been a nurse for ten+ years outpatient, and just took a care management job. The staff has been great, 6 weeks of close training, and lots of support but woah... So anxious.
Dreading going to work, and feeling like hammered dog shit at the end of the day. This is as anxious as I have felt since contemplating my divorce.
It will get better... In 6 months.

Hi this is a repost from Vancouver but got taken down due to relevancy. I live in BC
On may 23 I(M23) got poked by a needle at my workplace (vet clinic) in my right leg just above the knee to the right slightly. To preface, our clinic is a bit small so I often have to pass behind people and sometimes touch shoulders with them. As I needed to pass behind my doctor to reach the medication cabinet, I say “excuse me doctor” however he is unresponsive as he is looking at the computer. I squeeze behind him saying sorry and I felt the sharp poke and immediately look down and see a needle. To explain, he held the needle in his hand with arms by his side like how a normal person would stand. However he held the needle, uncapped, with the sharp point pointing to behind him.
I know it’s a used needle that was used to conduct vaccination. I know this because I observed the doctor vaccinate an outdoor cat that we just performed a neuter on however I thought it was disposed of or at least capped. NOT lingering around his hand for 5 minutes with the sharp point uncapped. Doctor noticed the poke. I know this because when it happened, he immediately looked back and then threw the needle away immediately and pretended nothing happened. As I am desperate for money, I continued to work my shifts there after the date of injury all while posting my resume to different job posts.
I have submitted a worksafebc report already and I have a blood work appt this week.
Today, he confronted me abt the worksafebc report and tried to shift the blame on me, stating that I don’t do the things he tells me to do like closing a door, even went as far as asking “how come you don’t complain about the scratches from cats or dog bites?”. I replied those things are incomparable as one is acting on instinct/nature while you are a trained, and licensed professional who has been in the industry for a long time and should understand safety precautions such ad immediately disposing of a used syringe or capping it at least, NOT, holding onto it with your hands by your sides and the needle point pointing behind you. This is negligence. He continues to say it’s my fault and being a veterinarian is not for me as getting poked by needles is common and normal and I’m making a big deal out of it. I quit and walked out after this argument as it unsafe to continue my employment here and I know this incident will occur in the future again based on that sentence
I have pictures of how he leaves the work environment after an appointment. He leaves a bunch of used, uncapped needles on the examination table and sink countertop. The sharps bin is located right behind the sink. Less than 1 meter away from the examination table.
As well, there’s a signed document stating I began my employment from may 17,2023 and will finish may17, 2024 however I was unpaid for my training shifts which I believe is illegal. I have witness
Is there anything else I can do beside the worksafebc claim? To the representative of worksafebc, he said I was a trainee and I bumped into him and I got poked accidentally. Im unsure about my rights. This is the first time it’s happened to me and I’ve worked in other vet clinic setting as well as research labs that involve sharps and chemicals. Hi Guys! I'm plan on visiting my friend currently residing in Seoul near National University of education station.
We plan on visiting a jimjilbang on Friday night (16 June 2023) and decided that DragonHill spa was our best option. We have noticed, however that on never and TripAdvisor there were numerous reviews saying that they were permanently closed. Can anyone verify this?
If they are permanently closed, I plead with you to recommend a jimjilbang in Seoul with as much entertainment facilities as DragonHill Spa. Eg, Arcade, PC Bang, Pool etc.
We plan on staying the night there and want to hang out late before sleeping. Thus, we want to go to a jimjilbang with entertainment facilities and not just the average sauna and Hot water pools.

I just need to vent!!! I used to see a Neurologist every year, and an MS nurse every year, so that every six months I was seeing one of them alternatively. Since the good old pandemic, appointments have only been by telephone and my MS Nurse has retired. The couple of times I have needed to phone the Nurses, the team have seemed very new (young, haha), and really not caring who I was or what I needed. It is a bit difficult after having the same strong team over the couple of decades since my diagnosis.
But what has got me so annoyed is that I kept on getting letters changing the date of my Neurologist appointment. I was due an appointment in March. That was changed to July, then a couple more times before I got a letter saying it was changed from October (I hadn't known about that one) to a Saturday in a couple of weeks, and by telephone.
I said that telephone isn't good enough, but was told the only face to face MS appointments are next year. I am never assertive, but I found it within! and said that I need face to face. The Neurologist told me a couple of years ago (over the telephone) that I was going into secondary progressive, and since then I have not seen them. I said that I need to see them and be able to show them my disability and how much I can and can't do so they can make an assessment. I asked whether there were any MS Nurse appointments and she said she would look at the clinics ("oh, you have one in January!" And at the local hospital so I wouldn't need to go to the city. But guess what? The ones in my town are all by telephone 🙄).
I rallied the I'm-the-oldest-child bossiness that I should (but never have) have, and she suddenly had a cancellation for a face to face appointment with the Neurologist in a couple of weeks in the city. I'll figure out how to get there

My clinic called me with the fertilization report even though I told the doctor yesterday and my entire team via email that I only wanted the final word.
Anyways I had ten follicles growing, but two were smaller, which we knew we would not be mature. 8 were retrieved, only 3 were mature, 1 degenerated, and 2 fertilized. AMH: 2.09 FSH: 1.6.
I don’t think this was a good result so far. I hope my next protocol is adjusted for better results.

i read through the FAQ and didn’t see an answer so i am posting here.
i have not started minoxidil, if i do, it will be foam.
am i correct that the usual procedure is a face rinse followed by a minoxidil application and a wait time of 4 hours before putting on any facial lotion?
i am struggling to understand how your face will not dry out and flake badly if you are used to facial lotion 2x a day.
in addition, does anyone know how tretinoin specifically works with minoxidil. i understand people use both simultaneously, but should i wait the 4 hours before applying tret?
finally is there any way i can use minoxidil without going 4 hours without facial lotion?
i am afraid i will start minoxidil and get a nicer beard at the cost of my skincare. i have little desire to see the pimples of the past.
