2023.03.28 14:30 Gloomy-Equivalent81 How to get your social life back? :’)

Okay so up till 7th grade, I was the most popular kid (not bragging), participating in everything, every teachers first choice and academically killing it too. Life was perfect to say the least.
Lockdown messed it up for me, in every way. I went into a shell because of anxiety and family problems. Found a boyfriend (who’s been a childhood friend), he made me feel peace, and I didn’t bother talking to anyone else except the same 2-3 people all day.
8th, 9th went in lockdown. And 10th was pretty average academically and socially. Wasn’t the teachers favourite (in fact some had personal issues w me) and under the main spotlight which felt kind of not me eventually…
Finally moving to 11th grade, I want to open up again, I want to have a decent academic, social and personal comeback…I’m going to be in a different section than all my friends & my boyfriend too (diff streams)
So I really need tips/experiences of how to open up to life in general again, especially socially and academically? I don’t want to spend another year in a shell, I’m over that phase of mine, I want to work but also have fun so I don’t regret this year :)
All suggestions welcome <3

2023.03.28 14:23 martinkaller GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin is coming to Steam

GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin is coming to Steam
GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin is coming to Steam VGC (videogameschronicle.com)
The emulator, which was initially released in 2003 and has received continuous updates in the 20 years that have followed, now has a Steam page and will be arriving on Valve‘s store in the coming months.
The emulator’s developer OatmealDome stated on Twitter: “We’ll release in Early Access during Q2 2023 (Apr to Jun). More info will be provided closer to launch.”
“And yes,” they added, “we’ll be supporting the Steam Deck.”
Dolphin can already be added to Steam and played on the Steam Deck, but its addition to Steam itself should make the process more straightforward for newcomers.
The emulator can play GameCube and Wii games with various enhancements applied – these can include increased resolution and frame rate, widescreen support, HD textures, netplay and quick save states.
While emulation itself isn’t illegal – popular multi-system emulator RetroArch has been on Steam for years and Dolphin itself has survived for two decades without Nintendo successfully shutting it down – the downloading of GameCube and Wii image files isn’t legal.
As such, the Steam page for Dolphin is not only careful to never mention Nintendo or its systems by name (it instead claims to be “an emulator for the big N’s 6th and 7th generation consoles”), it also stresses that players have to provide their own “legally obtained” games, even if this doesn’t always happen in practice.
Some players already use the Steam Deck as a portable emulation system, something that was leaned on a little too heavily when Valve posted (and then quickly deleted) a promotional video for the Steam Deck which showed a prominent Nintendo Switch emulator on the screen.

2023.03.28 14:09 rakAaaAnnn It’s impossible to get help without fucking everything up

Suicidal thoughts and a rough plan that I’m not acting on for a while at least and I think it’s just going to be a (very long) matter of time before I do act on this shit because it’s not possible to get any help with anything related to suicide in any manner, it’s just got for be a slow spiral of drawing closer to suicide slowly but surely. If I tell my family they’re going to understandably be very fucking worried but that’s not going to make anything better it’s just going to make it worse. Psychologists don’t have to keep stuff private if you’re st risk of hurting yourself and that means the at the second they hear the word suicide the psych will just tell fucking everyone and now everyone in your life knows about it.
How the fuck do I get help and escape this inevitable spiral into just fucking commIting unalive myself

Stock futures are little changed Tuesday: Live updates

Stock futures were little changed Tuesday after the S&P 500 posted its third positive session in a row and banking sector concerns continued to ease.
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 35 points, or 0.1%. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq-100 futures traded around the flatline.
The moves follow a mixed session on Monday. Investors fought to extend last week’s gains, but tech shares came under pressure. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 194.55 points, or 0.6%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.16%. The Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.47% as tech stocks moved lower.
A slew of positive news reports helped lift sentiment on Wall Street, including First Citizens BancShares’ agreement to buy large parts of Silicon Valley Bank. Further, CNBC reported that deposit flows out of small institutions and into banking behemoths have slowed.
Eight of 11 S&P 500 sectors finished in positive territory on Monday, led to the upside by a 2.1% gain in energy. Beaten-up regional bank stocks, including First Republic, climbed along with the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE). Communication services and information technology, which have enjoyed a strong 2023, both slipped.
“Basically, you have an oversold bounce in these areas that have been beaten up and you’re having a pause from some of these areas that are leadership,” said Keith Lerner, Truist’s co-chief investment officer. “I don’t think this is a trend reversal; I don’t think this is new leadership.”
Markets may also be taking news of First Citizens’ plan to buy a large chunk of SVB as a positive, he said.
Earnings season continues Tuesday with results from Micron Technology, Lululemon and Dave & Buster’s. Investors also await home price data and The Conference Board’s consumer confidence report.
The Federal Reserve’s Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr will appear before the Senate Banking Committee. He will speak on recent bank failures and federal regulators’ response.

About The Course:
This course outlines the systems and secrets I used to make over $300,000+ in my first year with entrepreneurship
While I was still 17 years old…
And was also a high school dropout…
So what’s your excuse? It’s time to crush it.
I want you to take a moment and imagine a world where you could…
Never worry about money ever again. Build a six figure marketing agency and the best part? it’s a reality that all of my students are living RIGHT NOW.Take care of your family & loved ones. Yeah… this is something close to my heart. My marketing agency finally allowed me to take care of my mom and the people who believed in me when I had nothing.Travel the world, anytime! Yes… that’s right. After this course you will have the location freedom to travel anywhere in the world you want!
Now, who is the genius (kidding… kinda) behind this whole course?
Let me introduce myself, my name is Iman. At the age of Seventeen, I dropped out of high school to commit to the world of online marketing. Within my first year I had made over $300,000+, I had traveled the world working from my computer, I had constructed my dream lifestyle and this was all done through the power of what I teach in Six Figure SMMA. I run my own digital marketing agency based out here in London, although we have clients out in Amsterdam and St. Tropez.
I have my personal brand which is another six figure business…
Then I have a few other smaller income streams here and there. I love the internet! Haha
Damn… I worked hard for this life. I worked hard to create the sort of income where I can take care of my family and not even check the price…
I guess that’s why I’m so passionate about what I teach. It’s because it changed my life in unexplainable ways. I don’t think I could ever go back to my old life after living like this.

E-waste refers to old or unused electronic devices such as computers, cell phones, and televisions that can potentially harm the environment if not disposed of properly.
The focus of this topic is on methods that are effortless and quick, so that anyone can use them to dispose of their e-waste without a lot of time or effort. These methods may involve donating old devices to charitable organizations, bringing them to e-waste recycling centers or drop-off locations, or selling them to refurbishers or electronic waste management companies.
By learning these effortless and quick methods for disposing of e-waste, you can contribute to reducing the amount of electronic waste in landfills, conserving natural resources, and protecting the environment. Additionally, proper e-waste disposal can help prevent personal information from being exposed, since many old devices contain sensitive data that needs to be erased before disposal.
Why is it important to dispose of it properly?
E-waste, or electronic waste, is a term used to describe any electronic device that is no longer needed or usable. This can include devices such as computers, cell phones, televisions, printers, and other electronic devices. E-waste is becoming an increasingly urgent problem due to the rapid pace of technological change and the short lifespan of many electronic devices.
It is important to dispose of e-waste properly because electronic devices often contain hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium that can harm the environment if not disposed of properly. These materials can leach into soil and groundwater and cause pollution, which can have serious consequences for both human health and the environment.
In addition to the environmental risks, e-waste can also pose a security risk. Many electronic devices contain sensitive information such as personal data, passwords, and financial information. If this information is not properly erased before disposing of the device, it can potentially fall into the wrong hands and be used for identity theft or other malicious purposes.
Proper disposal of e-waste is therefore essential for protecting the environment, safeguarding personal information, and ensuring that valuable resources are not wasted. This can be achieved by donating old devices to charitable organizations, bringing them to e-waste recycling centers or drop-off locations, or selling them to refurbishers or electronic waste management companies. By disposing of e-waste responsibly, we can all help to reduce the amount of electronic waste in landfills and protect the environment for future generations.
Methods for Disposing of e-Waste from Your Home
1.Donate Your Outdated Technology
Old gadgets that you no longer need can be donated to organizations or individuals in need. Before donating, make sure that the device is in working condition and that all personal information has been erased.
2.Sell Your Outdated Technology
You can sell your outdated electronics online through sites like Craigslist or eBay, or have a garage sale to earn some extra cash. Some electronic shops may also be interested in buying your old electronics.
3.Give Back to Electronic Companies and Drop-Off Points
Several electronic companies have set up exchange policies whereby they take back your old gadgets when you buy a new one, sometimes offering you a discount on your purchase. Additionally, some recycling companies have established electronic drop-off initiatives and designated drop-off locations for products such as cell phones and tablets.
4.Visit Civic Institutions
Check with your government, universities, and schools to see if they have any e-waste recycling programs or designated drop-off locations.
5.Use a Certified E-Waste Recycler
If you choose to recycle your e-waste, make sure to use a certified e-waste recycler, such as those certified by the Basel Action Network (BAN). These companies are dedicated to recycling e-waste in a safe and responsible way, reducing the risk of environmental pollution and personal information theft. Before recycling, be sure to format all personal information from your products and remove the batteries from your gadgets.

2023.03.28 14:01 bigbear0083 (3/28) Tuesday's Pre-Market Stock Movers & News

Good morning traders and investors of the stocks sub! Welcome to the new trading day and a fresh start! Here are your pre-market stock movers & news on this Tuesday, March the 28th, 2023-
