That’s a matter of opinion obviously. To my knowledge, the only fact about Twitter is that it’s always been toxic and sort of a battle zone between people with different views. It’s probably much more balanced now, as far as I can tell, also depends what exactly you’re looking for on Twitter. For every 5 tweets you might not agree with, you’ll also find another 5 that you will agree with. So I don’t see a real problem here, at least not a solvable problem. Hey there, I am a first-time dog owner. I got Merlin (8y) from a rescue when he was 2 years old and I just love him so much. What I wanted to ask was, how do you cope with worrying about your dog? Maybe I am just too sensitive and am worrying too much, but he, his health and happiness are constantly on my mind. For example, about one or two months ago he was not really motivated for his usual walk. I have a "small round" of about 30 minutes and a "long round" of about 1,5h. Most of the time he pulls me towards the long round, but at said time, he did it almost never. I went to the vet with him and got his blood checked (he had some issues with low white blood cells exactly a year ago, which we never found a reason for, it just went back to normal) and his blood was alright. Again his white blood cells were lower than normal but they were similar to last year when they were on their way back to normal. He also had a problem with his stomach (the vet guessed reflux) because he had times were he was constantly licking and smacking his lips for about 30 minutes non-stop. Now he got his motivation back in the morning and likes his long round again. But during the day and in the evening I have to persuade him to go and then he only wants to walk shorter than is short round. But now he does not want to eat his wet food. I offer him food in the morning after the first walk and in the evening after his last walk. If he does not eat his food after ~15 minutes I take it away so it does not stand there the whole day. Around noon I try giving it to him again, sometimes with a little lactose-free milk, as he normally loves that. Today he did not even want that and he only ate his food after I handfed him some pieces. Now in the evening, I put down a fresh portion of food and he did not eat it again. These phases of not eating are not new to me but I worry every damn time. They normally last a few days and after that it is back to normal.
I know this was a lot to read and I probably sound like a total hypochondriac but I am so scared to overlook some clues that something is wrong with him. I just want him to be happy and healthy😔 How do you cope with the worrying and the not knowing?

As the QSBS exception is either $10M or 10X the cost basis, I am trying to increase the cost basis of my founder stock from $0 to $15M.
Step 1: Register my startup as an LLC now (when the company is valued at $0) and I retain 100% ownership.
Step 2: In 3 months (roughly) when I take on outside funding, I convert my LLC to C-Corp. Because of Section 351, this conversion will not be a taxable event.
Step 3: At the time of conversion, the tax basis is equal to the FMV of the interest held in the LLC that is exchanged for ownership in the C-Corp. So, for a founder even though I did not infuse any capital, my cost basis will be my ownership percentage of the LLC’s FMV at the time of conversion. At the time of conversion, the fair market value of the LLC that is being contributed to the C-Corp will be $15M (assumed pre-money valuation). FMV for a startup can be very close to the pre-money valuation in 409a analysis, that I used to do in my past life.
Step 4: After five years and three months, when I sell my company, my QSBS exemption will be $150M (10X of $15M)

Hello! I’m looking for a video that I watched At least 4+ years ago. It was on the YouTube platform and I’m positive it was 20 minutes or less and think it was even more around the 10 minute or less mark. It was like a short film vibe to it about a sniper. He referred to his job / himself as something else if I do recall but can’t think of what he said. In the video he’s talking about the job / role of a sniper. He’s wearing a Ghillie Suit and is waiting for his target to appear. He aims at a small building and I think he even takes a shot at it to see if he got his range right. Then I remember that it was night and he had a red light out under something looking at a map or whatever and then heard someone was coming (enemy patrol) so he turned it off and waited for them to pass.

Disclaimer: I've never really done any of this before, i'm learning as I go.
I have a table top i'm building to go on a metal desk frame. It's just 2 rectangular sections made out of Oak 2x6's glued up with biscuits. I will not miter them, it will just be a square joint. The joint will be supported by the frame. So no real concern about supporting a vertical load. I just want it to be tight and able to assemble/disassemble for moving.
What is the best way to joint these for assembly/disassembly with a repeatable tight fit? Keep in mind whatever I do i will probably have to buy tools for. I don't mind spending some money, say hundreds of dollars, especially for a multi purpose tool tool. But i'm not looking to spend thousands for single purpose one time use tool. I was originally thinking a cam lock like you see on flat pack furniture? or Dog Bones? What would make the most sense and the best sense?

My family has a 14 year old corgi mixed breed dog. He has some arthritis in his legs and is a bit overweight. Today after calling a vets office and asking about it I tried taking for a slightly longer walk to hopefully help with his weight a bit more since my family handles his feeding. The problem is the walk was only supposed to go on for 33-35 minutes but due to him trying to pull other longer walk routes it went on for 37:40. When we got home he had some trouble cause our hose is exclusively stair accessible. Not a single entrance doesn’t have stairs. He didn’t seem to want to go up even if I started the steps and tried to assure him I’d be behind him. I tried to figure out what to do but while I was thinking he put his paw on one of the steps accidentally lifted the traction rugs my parents installed and whimpered a bit before pulling back his paw. I then decided to just lift him up and carry him, but I could still tell he didn’t love this cause he was breathing heavy while I did it. It was a total disaster that I cause and it comes only a day after he slipped down two stairs cause of a dumb decision I made and him slipping on to his bum while I was trying to apply paw pad lotion to his back foot. I keep accidentally making bad decisions and while he seems fine right now, walking without a limp and happy look on his face, I feel awful for what I did. I don’t know some days I feel like I’m just the worst to him even if I don’t mean to be. I should know better than this but I keep making mistakes.

Rough Riders members fill a multitude of roles, and are allowed to switch between them for different missions so long as they have passed the appropriate training. Roles available to Rough Riders are:

Leadership opportunities are made available to interested members who are noted to possess technical competency and the ability to communicate effectively. Through a program we call the Warrior Leaders Course, NCO candidates are put to the test via a series of written and field exams. We have systems in place for leadership development too- so if you’re not ready to lead now (but want to), we can teach you how to be a leader.
Community members may join our writing/zeusing team and contribute to the development of our world in-game. It is expected that these individuals be team players overall, and be able to understand and support the bigger picture as determined by the administration team. At the end of the day it's about making sure the players had fun, and telling a memorable story/giving them opportunities to have stories about the operation- not about how cool you are as a Zeus.
**Designated Marksman/Sniper School is open to Rough Riders with a score of 38+ (Expert) on their Rifle Qual, who have achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. Members are eligible for promotion to Lance Corporal after one (1) full deployment with the unit.
Operations:
We operate Monday/Friday/Saturday starting at ~7pm-~8pm EST. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday are off days and Squad Leaders may run trainings if requested or if they see fit. Members typically play other games in the discord together on these off days as well.
There is no mandatory attendance expectation- we want to see you around, but everyone understands that real life comes first.
We operate on a deployment system, meaning that we spend prolonged periods of time in various regions of the world participating in roughly 1-2 month long persistent environments. Between these deployments we dedicate a few weeks to retraining the unit, catching new players up on anything they haven't already figured out during their deployment, and testing NCO candidates while our Zeus/Writer team works on the next deployment.
Information:
Founded September 2018, Rough Riders is actively seeking new members to help increase our core of dedicated players. We operate with a reinforced platoon (~40ish) that includes infantry and a myriad of support elements also manned by our members.
The Rough Riders consists of primarily North American (NA) members, and so most things are scheduled with that in mind. We do however have an international community with wonderful members from places like Australia, Laos, Russia, and elsewhere. Anybody and everybody is welcome in the Rough Riders- we just ask that you are able to speak, read, and understand English.
To join, simply join our discord and introduce yourself! No application necessary, and no sitting through hours of tedious basic training just to blow things up.
