Hi there, I'm 28 from Chicago. I'm interested in helping out singles/couples who can't conceive. Here are a few details about me and some SFW pics so you can get a sense of what I look like. Let me know if you have any questions.
Health/Body: 6’0” at 160 lbs so very low body fat and fit due to genetics (metabolism and energy level) and a very active lifestyle. Blue eyes, light brown hair. I don’t drink alcohol, smoke weed/nicotine, use drugs, or drink coffee. I also don’t masturbate regularly. I have a 5 minute mile time, was ranked in the top 7% of swimmers in the one of the largest triathlon in the US 6 months after starting to swim seriously, and have completed a range of mountaineering expeditions such as the 500-mile Colorado trail and various hikes in Alaska and Minnesota. I wrestled in high school, then got in to track and cross country, in college I was on the Judo and rowing teams, and my current focus is triathlon, weight lifting, and squash for fun.
Intelligence/Education: Bachelor and Master of Science from the top school in my field. Currently working at a top consulting firm. Scored a 740 on the GMAT if you’re a quant. Currently studying for advanced cloud engineering certifications as I apply to top MBA programs (Stanford, U Chicago, MIT, Harvard). I was born with raw brain power and I've been able to channel it to great success (leadership) due to communication skill and EQ. I was a nationally ranked debater in college as well as president of two student organizations. Currently I’m lead organizer of two activity groups at a local “prestigious” social club and I incorporated an LLC to host social events. I have also become fluent in Spanish over the years, taking it upon myself to converse in Spanish with friends and making solo trips to Latin America for practice.
Family/Medical History: The traits above are prevalent in my family tree and most even have similar tall/lean builds. My mom is 5’10” and my dad is 6’3”. Extended family are engineers (MIT, NASA, UIUC), lawyers (Kellogg), and doctors (Harvard) with a few other types sprinkled in. I have no medical issues and there are no prevailing medical issues in my family. I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis which is a relatively uncommon dormant gene. If you carry it, we aren't a match, if you don't, it will have no impact.
Race: 100% European primarily Irish (45%) and German (39%).
Parental Rights: Open but not available to financially or legally support children at this time.

How do you disable a BP Actor in UE5? The goal is to get the arrow with the Directional Light Guizmo to work. [In a space scene] I also switched from a Trackball mouse to a regular mouse. The arrow still wiggs out, but at least I can see it. Is a BP Actor, short for Blue Print. There seem to be lots of articles in the dev forum and here on Blue Print Actors.

Hi all, got blue lights on my mesh router and mesh satellite but the satellite doesn’t show up under attached devices. Should it? The MR70 router does show as it is wired to the modem.

That phrase is becoming a meme and number one defence mechanism to deflect DL2 criticism or even to think about why many people are turned off by DL2. This topic is not about "DL2 is bad" because DL2 isn't a bad game.
Yes, you can find DL2 OVERALL better or as good as DL1 but making that kind of general statement "Dying Light 2 is just different but also great as Dying Light 1!" without looking at all the major flaws and downgrades of DL2 doesn't make the argument convincing.
Sometimes "different" means (not always!) "worse" or "not that good".

What is objectively beneficial for the player:
* ..to have no momentum in parkour which kills the flow? (animation based)
* ..Combat physics which are also animation based so you have less variations in the impact, more repetetive combat situations when hitting enemies and overall worse physics?
* to have worse and less variety in feedback when hitting zombies (less gore)
When it's just "different" but still "great" why is Techland applied and announced improvements to CORE (!) gameplay mechanics like combat phyics (general physics), parkour physics,... !
Sure Dying Light 2 has a few unique features like to enviromental gadgets with the factions but overall it's another generic open world game which uses the ubisoft formula (and some players will like that formula which is fine)
* Many tedious RPG elements which have almost no impact on the character or gameplay
* The core gameplay is heavily focused on grinding like many Ubisoft games and YES much more than in DL1. You upgrade your blueprints with various zombie tokens instead of exploration to find new blueprints compared to DL1. Thats why you have all the forsaken stores, dark hollows and other copy & pasted loot places. In order to upgrade all 43 blue prints to level 9 you have to kill 2365 Common Infected, 8815 Uncommon Infected Trophies, 1892 Rare Infected Trophies, 946 Unique Trophies and collect 22059 coins. No to mention the grindy events, the agents, the over 100x inhibitor containers to upgrade your character skills etc.
* Huge map with a lot of copy & paste assets (YES much more than in DL1!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHIFTA0WtoU or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwmvmAZHsxw ..............Have you ever asked yourself why the most common buildigs (from the past) in Dl2 don't exsist? Like police stations, fire departements, kindergarden, schools, court houses, huge parking lots, gas stations etc.
* ...and because of the copy & paste design it's repetetive and lacks of environmental story telling.
No that doesn't make DL2 bad (straw man argument) but 100% generic like many ubisoft open world games and to some extent sony open world games.
The reason why DL1 was so refreshing it's because Techland didn't followed the generic ubisoft/openworld formula but took inspiration and expaned it with their own ideas.
DL2 is not just different but many of the differences/changes in the main gameplay loop are based on generic and overused features (stated above) from many generic ubisoft openworld games and at the same time it has way to many proofable flaws and downgrades compared to DL1.

We entered the new star system with frightening ferocity. Our five carrier crafts and three battle cruisers all popped out of warp travel on the edge of the system at the same time. Immediately upon our arrival we received a message from the Human mining colony on the sixth planet. They were curious as to why a small army had suddenly gathered at their doorstep.
My species is a civilized one, so we announced our intentions clearly and honestly. We came to take over the mining colony. All of the infrastructure as well as exclusive right to this star system would be forfeited, and in exchange we would treat the fourteen thousand or so humans living here as prisoners which the Human Federation could come by and pay ransom for at their convenience. We told the humans about our meteor cannons and how if they refused, we were willing to sacrifice the colony’s surface for a quick and easy battle.
Upon receipt, a human message came up requesting a video link. I directed my crew to accept and suddenly there was an ugly, hairless primate on the screen in the main deck.
“Greetings,” the human said, “I am Professor Jackson. It is my understanding that you wish to conquer this star system. Is that correct?” “That is exactly right,” I replied. The fifty or so sharp teeth in my round mouth clacked together to display our aggressive intent.
“I understand,” the human replied, “and are you working alone or under the orders of the Frei’ik Confederation?” I was surprised at the mention of my home world. Why did this human care about the internal politics of my species while we were fast approaching his world? “My clan is a member of the Frei’ik Confederation,” I replied, “But in this we are acting alone.” “So the Frei’iks do not wish to declare war on all humans, is that correct?” “Yes, it is,” I replied, “My clan leaders had tried to convince the Confederation to do such a thing. We know that the Humans are currently weak while being at war with the Hyui Civilization. Sadly, the rest of my species is not as opportunistic as we are. Now let's talk about the terms of your surren--”
“Please allow me a moment,” the Professor said and the screen went black. I had to quickly gain my composure so that my crew didn’t sense my shock and outrage. We were now only three hours away from the mining colony. We had offered the humans a way out of conflict and they… they had hung up on me.
Another video request came in thirty minutes later.
“Greetings again,” it was the same human scum, “Sorry about the short end of the call. I had to discuss things with the Federation.” “I will not tolerate such uncivilized action again. We are doing you all a favor by offering surrender. We could just come and launch a rock at your world.” “My hope is,” the human said, “to actually convince you to avoid conflict entirely.”
Was this human stupid? We had already given them the surrender conditions. Frei’iks are the most feared species in this arm of the galaxy. The oldest civilizations pay us tribute for our protection.
“This star is very hostile to life,” the human said, “It has cost us several trillion units to build an artificial magnetosphere. It is my understanding that the Frei’ik skin is even more prone to cancerous growths than my own. I do not think you all would actually benefit in the long term from taking this star system.”
“The magnet shield for the planet will not be affected by our weapons. We intend to launch a three kilometer rock into your surface. It will destroy all of the ground infrastructure, but the shielding will be safe.” “I apologize for the miscommunication,” the human replied smugly, “if you are able to get past the orbit line of the seventh planet, we will destroy the magnetic shield ourselves.”
I was surprised by the human’s suicidal bluff, “Fine, send the shield crashing into your own planet. Even if you aren’t lying, that is a cost we are willing to pay.”
“I see,” the human said, “Well then we have no choice but to defend ourselves. As you already know, the Federation is already tied up in the war with the Hyui. When we asked for military aid, they informed us that there was none available. So, we have decided to declare our independence from the Human Federation. We are now a separate political body known as the Proxima Free Settlement. We have graciously told the Federation that your clan is acting independently, in order to avoid an escalating interspecies conflict. We can’t promise that the Federation will not seek revenge for the Frei’ik Confederation sanctioning your actions. However, we request that you inform your species that what will occur over the next few hours is the actions of our government, and not of all humankind.”
The video feed cut out again. This time I could not hide my emotions from my crew. My body turned just about every color available to my physiology. Orange with anger, blue with outrage, green with ferocity. Eventually my skin and my emotions settled on purple hysteria. These humans were clearly delirious. We had eight vessels, all loaded with cannons capable of launching a planet-destroying meteor. I told my crew to continue our advance with haste.
Once we crossed the ninth planet’s orbit, we began to see the first physical signs of human life. They had outpost satellites around this orbit. I commanded some of my single-pilot craft to go and take control of these satellites. This was when the first sign of trouble came.
Before the pilots even reached the satellites, they exploded in an array of radiated particles. We had scanned these machines, they did not have any weapons on board. My analysts concluded that they must have had nuclear reactors attached to them that the humans flooded. Fifty-six pilots came back alive, most had radiation poisoning that was going to require life-long medications.
I commanded my deck to call the human colony, when the face appeared I began to shout, “What you have done is a clear violation of the Orion Accords. The use of nuclear force has been banned for centuries. How dare you--” The human cut me off again, “The Proxima Free Settlement is not a signer of the Orion Accords. In fact, we haven’t signed any treaties. We’ve only been a government for about forty-five minutes. It is my understanding that an unprovoked attack against a species already at war was a violation.” “This will not stand,” I replied, “Be prepared to have your whole world destroyed.” I no longer cared about the infrastructure cost. I wanted to teach these humans a lesson on the might of my species.
I was about to hang up when the human began speaking again, “Though I am under now legal obligation, I feel compelled to tell you that if you cross the orbit of the eight planet, we will use an even stronger weapon. We call it the Icarus Protocol.”
I ended the link. I was not about to be threatened by these humans. Sure they had some neat tricks, but we would be in range to launch our meteors long before they had any chance to strike us again. Orders went out for all single-pilot ships to remain in the carriers, I wanted them to stay behind the shields we had on board.
Twenty minutes later we were on the edge of the eight planet’s orbit. One of my staff actually suggested that we slow down so that we could analyze the space for potential threats. I nearly slapped him. Frei’iks do not have time for weakness. We crossed the invisible line, and I must admit I held my neck holes shut in anticipation for an attack.
None immediately came, though. We had called the human’s bluff. I got up and made an announcement to my main desk staff, “See, these humans are weak. They are trying to scare us into submission. We will advance upon their world and destroy it. Then we will take this star system for ourselves. I promise you all much glory and--” I stopped talking as the lights in my main deck went off. The holographic screen that had been presenting our approach disappeared, and in its place stood the large window showing only the stars. My crew is among the best in the galaxy, but even they lost composure at the suddenness of the darkness.
After returning order on the deck, I began shouting commands at my crew. I needed reports, analyses, anything. All of the computers in the deck seemed to be off. The door to the main deck was closed tight as the sensors were also out. It took us nearly ten minutes just to pry them open.
Communication throughout the ship was out. Most of the lights were out, though some auxiliary power was starting to come back online. Even the emergency flashlights, totally separate from the ship’s power grid, were not working. I rushed to my personal cabin. It was the best insulated from attacks both physical and energetic. I had a radio stored there that might not be completely fried. A red flashing light let me know my assumption was correct.
I called over to my second in command in one of the battleships, “Kioruk, tell me do you know what is going on?”
“It seems that we have been hit by a large energetic projectile,” she said, “Your ship was hit first. It was like a solar flair. All the other craft seem to be as screwed as we are.” I messaged the commander of each ship. They all gave the same report. One of them had an advanced telescope that was working and at my direction they pointed it at the human colony. They gave visual confirmation that the humans had broken up their magnet shield. The thing was now in several dozen pieces, all aligned to create a path for solar particles to be directed towards my formation.
The humans had completely scrambled our electronics. Very few systems were online. My flagship thankfully had its life support system in tack, but four of the others were not so lucky. We tried to transport as many soldiers from the dying vessels over as we could, but many Frei’iks suffocated in the growing dark coldness.
It took the Proxima Free Settelment five hours to send one of their vessels out to meet us. All the long-range comms had been shot, but we were able to offer a surrender when the enemy ship came close enough. The human captain insisted that I personally board their vessel so that I could message my clan using their comms and work out the conditions.
We had thought the humans were a weak species, too focused on infrastructure to be prepared for a fight on two sides. I have now learned personally what humans are capable of.

District 9
Carnelian Fontaine (first victor of the 103rd Games) had been chosen to perform the reaping, while Melodia Harper (other victor of the 103rd Games) would just mentor her tributes.
Carnelian seemed interested in the tour of District 9, and when it was time for the reaping to begin, he stood there in his scarlet suit.
Carnelian reached into the female bowl, removing the name of seventeen year old Paprika Patterson. A scream was heard as a girl with ginger hair held in a simple side braid and brown eyes was taken to the stage. Paprika tearfully shook Carnelian’s hand. Paprika was the second of three children, and often worked in the cornfields for money.
Carnelian then approached the male bowl, reaching his hand inside and calling the name of sixteen year old Pannos Spellman. A shorter boy with blonde hair and brown eyes walked to the stage, and shook Carnelian’s hand. Pannos was the youngest of two children.
Both tributes were allowed short visits with family, before being taken to the train.
Paprika and Pannos met their mentors, Sheaf Javorski (victor of the 87th Games) and Soya Fenway (victor of the 98th Games). Soya had a rather obvious baby bump, as she was seven months pregnant with her first child. Sheaf taught Paprika and Pannos how to use scythes, and at 11:49 PM, the train arrived at the station.
Paprika and Pannos tiredly greeted the excited citizens, before going to their apartment and falling asleep.
It had been decided that the parade would be indefinitely cancelled, much to the disappointment of many stylists. Tributes were still assigned a stylist to dress them for the interview and Games, and Agatha Malmsey began to design beige outfits for her tributes.
District 7
Carnelian appeared to admire the wooden buildings and the forests in District 7. He stood in front of the crowd of youths, and his hand hovered over the female bowl.
He reached his hand inside and removed the name of seventeen year old Holly Hammond. Silence was heard as a face was shown on the television screen. Peacekeepers entered the crowd and retrieved a girl with tan skin, curly brown hair, and brown eyes. Holly was the youngest of three children, and attended school still. Holly seemed annoyed as she shook Carnelian’s hand.
Carnelian then reached into the male bowl, removing the name of seventeen year old Teak Willoughby. A boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes walked to the stage. Teak was the eldest of four, and worked in a woodcarving factory. Teak shook Carnelian’s hand.

I (F24) met this wonderful guy (M25) in october last year. The first couple of months were amazing, as they always are, right? Everything was a fairy tale. I had met the guy of my dreams.
Well, then he cheated on me. He told me he loved me, that he only wanted to be with me. He texted me ”goodnight I miss you so much call me when you wake up next morning!!” while simultaneously texting another girl to set up a date. He denied it at first, got angry about me being so insecure and untrusting ”this is just your fucking trust issues and I am so sick of it!” but then admitted that he had slept with this girl. At this point, we spent nearly every day together, had met eachothers friends, had the key’s to eachothers apartments etc.
I was heartbroken because I thought I lost the love of my life. So I decided to try to forgive him, he said he was only scared to commit and that it was a stupid mistake. Everyone can make mistakes right? Well the trust issues lingered. Especielly since he had gaslighted me instead of plainly confessing when I found out. Everytime I was feeling sad, low, in need of support or reassurance he disappeared or became angry with me. Loud angry, yelling in my face to get out or slamming doors. Like a whole other person. He tossed my stuff out of the apartment more than once. ”Yes I cheated but everything else is your fault” ”you are paranoid” ”no one else would have reacted in this way in this situation” ”you are so selfish, ego centric and delusional”.
Slowly the sweet, amazing guy I fell in love with became someone I was terrified off. The last person on the planet I went to when I was sad an needed support (over the infidelity), because whenever I did he told me ”you are just bringing down my energy” and ”you are ruining my weekend” or just simply ghosting me.
I excused his behaviour because after all no one is entitled to emotional support, even from their partner. Eventhough in this case it was our relationship that was the cause of my pain. He just didn’t want to talk about it. Of course his needs are also valid and his needs in this case was a girlfriend who was affirming, happy, light and making jokes. I tried to be that girl for him. Simultaneously abandoned myself. Things started feeling so off. If he really cared about me, would he really literally kick me out of his home because I was sad?
Then the sex. I had told him that I had issues before when it came to sex because with my ex I had forced myself to sleep with him eventhough I wasn’t attracted anymore because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. It started when he asked me if he could sleep with me eventhough I told him I wasn’t in the mood. ”Well if it’s not too much for you, couldn’t you just.. let me fk you?”. I brushed it off, he probably didn’t mean it like that. Then another incident he started screaming at me because I quit the sex before he had the chance to. I told him I didn’t want to continue with vaginal intercourse after I had had an orgasm because it was quite frankly uncomfortable and painful, but I was happy to help him with a handjob or blowjob. He told me (while screaming at me) that if it was only slightly painful, I should be able to endure for his sake. Because then there would be a net-gain after all.
I got a migraine and he told me that it drained his energy and asked me to stay away. I got too drunk and passed out on the bed and woke up a couple of minutes later to a furious man trying to drag me out into the living room to sleep on the couch as a punishment for having ”abandoned him” by falling asleep when he wanted to spend time with me.
He also told me that he had thrown a xbox-console at his ex once. He had ”lost control”. She had taken up her cell phone and the screen light was too bright, something that provoced him, which they had discussed previously. So he lost it, and out of the blue threw the thing at her. This was kind of the final straw for me. I was so gaslighted that at this point I believed whole-heartedly all of the ”everything is your fault, you are being needy, no guy would ever put up with this, you are delusional/oversensitive/crazy” but the thing with his ex was simply not justifiable at any extent.
All of the red flags I closed my eyes for, even from the beginning.. he said ”I have a tendency to think people don’t deserve to live, I mean if they don’t contribute with anything why should they live”. Talked about abusing his friend’s dog. Talked horribly about his only friend, only to have him act completely different in front of him. Rape jokes. I was so in love with him but I was blind.
I watched the perfect guy turn into the exact opposite of who I thought he was. Kind, smart, ambitious, fair, giving, considerate, calm, stable. Now I see someone who’s selfish, egocentric, disrespectful.
It’s been three weeks, we’ve had intermittent contact because I have caved.. been used like a sex toy and then discarded by ”I simply can’t be with you when you are so mentally ill, it’s draining”. Hello fellow color enthusiasts! I have a specific question - how "normal" or "usual" it is to have deviation and variability inside the color seasons?
I'm asking because I was just draped as a true (cool) winter, and with the analyst we went through what kind of colors and even hair colors complement me best. And while she said true winters can pull off a grayish blonde or cooler red hair, she definitely does not recommend me to have those colors. We settled on the fact that my original hair color - ashy brown - is the only one that makes me shine. Very dark hair color makes me look tired and old. From the colors that should make a true winter shine, I have to leave out all the greens because they looked awful on me. What I can pull off really is royal and navy blue, magenta, red, eggplant purple and white. Apart from that, I also noticed that I cannot really wear "cool" foundation even though I'm supposed to be cool undertoned. I must wear neutral for it to blend into my skin, which I find strange as I'm the "cool" subtype of winter.
I wonder how normal is this. Shouldn't the colors of your season all suit you?

Asclepius revered for his oracles at Abydos, was also known to be a magician of dreams - that's to say he inspired dreams that could then be interpreted. At the time dreams were seen as an important means of therapy, a fact that is essential for understanding the meaning of the Serapeum. Ive spoken already about the dolichocephalous skulls found within Mayan temples, and in the ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. These are the Shining Ones. They had the Knowledge. Was doing step 6/7 for the exotic quest Strider. Past Ahimsa park (mayas retreat) and inside the cave I found this giant bowl thingy and said to activate. Anybody know what this does ?

Blonde hair whisked back and forth over a slender woman's shoulders as she strutted over to cell block eight. The solid dark gray walls matched her uniform, minus the red streaks down the sleeves. She was holding a tray of steaming food. Mashed potatoes, chicken, and a dinner roll the size of both her fists was about to go to her favorite inmate, Tanal Sinclair.
Most inmates at such a facility had strict containment procedures, but Tanal was granted special privileges due to his progress in his mandatory counseling sessions. He was allowed one day a week to eat with whoever he wanted. Every week, he chose Ms. Harriot Carver. She was the only guard in the prison who made him smile. And she was easy on the eyes herself.
Ms. Carver came up to his cell, which was secluded from all the other inmates, and rapped on the bars. "Dinner time!"
Tanal was lying on the floor with a newspaper over his head. The flimsy paper went up and down as he breathed, making her smile.
"Ahem." She cleared her throat. "I have food."
Tanal snapped out of his sleep and sat straight up. He turned to her and noticed a few differences about her. Her lashes were curled and wore bright red lipstick. Guards never looked so pretty, so he knew he was in for a treat.
"Let me get the door for you." Tanal hopped to his feet and jogged over to the bars. With one hand he moved the bar aside as if it was moving a curtain.
She stepped inside and shook her head. "You should really stop doing that. One day you are going to break the bars."
Tanal moved the bar back into place and smoothly slid to her, grabbing her hands on the tray. "But your hands were full. And besides, not everyday I get a main course and dessert."
Ms. Carver looked down at the food again. "I don't see any dessert."
"I think you are pretty sweet. The cherry lipstick suits you."
Ms. Carver blushed. Compliments were easy to come by, but none quite resonated with her like his. His blue eyes seemingly stared into her very soul. He meant every word and it made her weak in the knees.
"You always know what to say, don't you?"
"No. I just speak from the heart. Much easier." He smiled and looked down at the food. "You spoil me. Where did you get this dinner roll?"
"I made that. I remembered you said you like puffy bread."
"I do. Shall we?"
They both sat down on the floor and began eating. She nibbled on the chicken and bread, while he devoured the mashed potatoes with a fork, which Ms. Carver noticed right away.
"Where did you get that fork?"
Tanal shrugged. "Cafeteria. Don't worry, I won't use it as a shiv or a makeshift shovel to tunnel my way out."
"I wish all inmates were like you," she said, referring to his gentle heart, rather than his ability to swipe contraband.
"If they were all like me, there wouldn't be a city left for anyone to convict them of anything."
Ms. Carver put her hand on his arm gently. "Don't do that to yourself. You made a mistake. You are only human."
"Mostly human. I have lived long enough to know better. I knew what would happen if I took the drink at the tavern and I did it anyway."
"But you are better now. You are safe here, away from the temptations of the world."
Tanal nodded and smiled. "Not all of them."
Their eyes met and it took everything in her power to let him make the first move. She longed for the taste of his lips or for him to hold her in his disproportionately powerful arms. His hand moved toward her, but she dared not break eye contact with him. Her imagination was beginning to go wild, when he pulled up the dinner roll and took a bite.
"Mmmm. That is good!" he said with his mouth full. She wanted to be the dinner roll. The source of his unbridled moaning. Instead she watched the roll disappear and him smile back at her. "Thank you so much for this wonderful meal."
"It was my pleasure," she said with a hint of dejection and stood up. "I better get back to work."
She turned around, but he grabbed her by the wrist. Ms. Carver looked at him and he ran his bare hand over her soft cheek. Her skin had goosebumps, but mesmerized all the same.
"I didn't get my dessert."
There was no doubt in his eyes what he desired and she knew it. Ms. Carver didn't wait for him this time. She went for it, colliding her lips into his like an asteroid into a planet. It hurt, but she demanded he see her as a woman who longed for him. No amount of cameras watching them would deter her. Her love burned for him hotter than the sun.
Tanal was caught off guard by her aggression. He held her tight and backed up to maintain their balance, but the tray under his foot had other ideas. His back slammed into the floor and broke off their kiss.
"Are you okay?" Tanal asked.
Ms. Carver flipped her hair up and caught her breath for a second, smiling the whole time. "Come away with me."
"Harriot–"
"I know you want to finish your sentence, but only being with you like this once a week is not enough for me. I want more of you."
"I–"
"I don't care if I lose my job. We can live on our love. That is all we need. And–"
Tanal put his hand over her mouth. "You mind if I get a word in?"
She nodded comically while he kept her mouth covered.
"I would like nothing more than to spend the rest of your life with you," he said with a weak smile. "But I have to do something first."
"What?"
"There is a threat coming to Earth. Something world ending. My people are coming."
"Your people? The Egyptians aren't going to end the world."
"My other people. The ones from space."
"Oh…those people…" Ms. Carver said, forgetting that he was technically an alien, despite his appearance. "What do they want?"
"They want me. I was supposed to be trustworthy, but after destroying the city and falling in love with you, they have determined I am no longer fit for Earth."
She had so many questions, but only one came out. "How is your people coming for you world ending?"
"They don't take chances. They will destroy the whole planet to ensure their decision is upheld," he said. Ms. Carver could tell he was deadly serious. She shook with fright, feeling helpless to stop the impending doom of humanity. He held her tight and kissed her on the forehead. "That's why I need to leave…this planet."
"No. You can't."
"It's the only way to ensure your home isn't destroyed. There is no other way." Tanal tried to get up, but she pinned him to the cold floor.
"Take me with you."
"It's too dangerous."
"I'm not dumb. I know if you leave, when you come back I will be old or not even here. I've seen Interstellar!"
Tanal couldn't help but laugh at her impassioned plea. She was right, if he left, she would likely be long gone by the time he returned. He was losing the battle to persuade her to stay. "All the more reason to stay. I like my women wrinkly."
"Well then, you can watch me get old and wrinkly in your copilot seat as we fly around Gazarbaba Prime or whatever the hell those planets are."
She gave him a deadly glare that would have warned off the most savage monster the galaxy could throw at them. Ms. Carver was not going to back down now with him confirming the feelings between them were mutual. It left Tanal with one option.
"Hold on tight then. We are getting out of here."
She clung to him like they were going to be launched out of a rocket. He put one arm around her and the other pounded into the concrete below. The floor crumbled beneath, swallowing them and Ms. Carver's screams as they plunged into the sewer system below.
They splashed down into the murky water and spit out the vile liquid that surrounded them. Ms. Carver looked up the hole to see red flashing lights.
"You made quite the mess."
"Sorry about that. I thought it better than trying to shield you from gunfire."
"You are so thoughtful," she said, turning to face him. "Or was this your way of having an excuse to get me out of these wet clothes?"
"Well, we can't have you wearing that where we are going?"
She pressed up against him and whispered in his ear. "Where is that?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
