33’s stock 2020 Silverado RST z71
Trying to run 17x8.5, 0 offset Method race wheels with 295/70/r17 BFG ko2’s. Will I be able to clear these with stock z71 suspension. The tire size should be pretty close to the stock 275/60/r20. Has anyone ran this with no rubbing?

2023.06.10 23:31 gandhiatemypie 2007 Chevy Silverado motor mounts

I am replacing the motor mounts on my 2007 2wd Silverado. Driver side is in, no problems. Passenger side is a nightmare. I was finally able to get the old mount out. It has to come in/out the top..no room from the bottom.
I cannot get the new motor mount in for the life of me. It gets wedged between the frame and manifold. Motor is jacked up as high as possible.
Does anyone know a trick to getting the new mount in? This project is entering the 12th hour, and I’m out of ideas

Make: MG
Model: GT Sport TST
Engine: 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve Inline-4 Turbo Intercooler
Max Power: 161 PS @ 5600 rpm
Max Torque: 250 Nm @ 1750 - 4000 rpm
Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch transmission
Price as Tested: ₱PHP 1,193,888

For a brand known mainly for its sports cars from the 60s to the 90s, it was unusual to see MG launch one crossover SUV after another in the local market. They teased us a little bit with the MG6 liftback (launched in 2019), but thankfully, they are upping the marque’s sportiness with the introduction of the second-generation MG GT sports sedan.

Its nose has a proper scowl, which makes it look like it is impatiently waiting for the light to turn green and dash away. It was thoughtful of MG to put holes for the vehicle plate screws below the 3D digital flaming grille (so onlookers can see its full form), and the extra black molding that extends into these large air vents is a nice touch that gives it a one-of-a-kind front fascia.

The side showcases its very nice 17-inch two-tone Tomahawk alloy wheels, a couple of sharp character lines that highlight the shapely fenders, and a chrome trim that traces the daylight opening and emphasizes the slope that gives it a fastback form.

LED bulbs are standard on the intelligent headlights and 3D racetrack taillights. It also has a couple of elements that reduce drag and increase aerodynamic efficiency, a front (carbon fiber-style) and rear (ducktail) spoiler.

It looks every bit the part of a sports sedan from the front, but I have a few suggestions. A lower stance would be better, which means reduced ground clearance. On top of that, a sleeker roof would make it look sexier and give it better stability, and a larger rear glass should elicit an illusion of a wider body (when viewed from the rear). Lastly, drop the faux twin exhaust because it looks pretty obvious.

MG brags that it has a fighter jet-inspired cockpit. I have never been in a fighter jet as the closest I have been was while watching ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ so I’ll take their word for it.

The dashboard is sleek, with switches that are just the right size to match the cockpit design. The plastic surface could be better, but the diamond-design accent that runs along the middle gives it a certain level of sophistication. The matching slim infotainment system is laid out horizontally and sits on top of a silver ledge with toggles to switch between the different menus of the 10-inch floating monitor. Designers gave the layout some thought to ensure every detail matches the image they have of the GT.

I single out the instrument cluster because of its different look and feel. I get a Chevy (think Spark) or a moto vibe from it, even if it sports a 12.3-inch virtual display with a digital speedometer and tachometer. The unique thing about it is the red linear gauges on either side that goes up and down depending on the speed and RPM.

Each front seat has bolsters for a snug fit, which is why it appears small at first. It cradles the torso very well, which helps keep the body in place during aggressive driving, but I wish the seat bottoms were just a bit longer for more thigh support. It has leather upholstery, red stitching, and quilting on the backrest.

There are two USB ports in front, one for charging and the other for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It also has Bluetooth audio streaming. The third USB port is at the back, beside the rear air vents.

The flat-bottom multi-function leather steering wheel feels great. It is just the right size and enhances the vehicle’s sporty personality. It has tilt adjustment but does not have telescopic features. Behind it are the paddle shifters and three stalks that include cruise controls.

I like its current interior equipment and the power sunroof is not a regular sight in the segment; that gives it a leg up over the competition. More premium cabin materials would be better, and throw in more padded surfaces too. The six-speaker system sounds good, but maybe too good in some parts because I can feel the vibration of the panels from the door speaker when I turn up the volume.

What is impressive about this vehicle is its small displacement 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine that makes 161 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Drive goes to the wheels via a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox. Throttle response is drive mode dependent. Normal is the default mode, and it feels pretty mild-mannered. The vehicle’s weight is more palpable as it rises steadily to the desired speed.

Switching modes was a little tricky as there was a button on the center stack. The paddle shifter also did not have an effect. Only when I toggled the gear shifter back did it shift to Sport, and vice versa. Acceleration is slightly more abrupt, but I love the sound it makes. Instead of the typical rumble, which you will not get anyway because it only has four cylinders, there is a thrilling throttling-up sound that rises in the cabin the faster I went.

Handling is not too light, but despite its good power-to-weight ratio, it is not as agile. That is partly due to soft suspension and high ground clearance. Its height raises the center of gravity which -together with the ride height- is why there is a significant amount of body roll when cornering.

If you want to sort that out, get a new set of coilover suspensions or a lowering kit (if there are any available). But there is a benefit to keeping it suspension setup stock. This soft type has more comfort versus rigid setups that offer sporty handling. It keeps road harshness levels down, and unless you plan to drive it aggressively, there is no need to modify it.

It has a forward collision warning and lane departure warning, but my favorite is the 360-degree vehicle view camera. It shows the vehicle's position relative to external obstacles, while the forward camera lets me park face-front as close to the wall as possible.

If you plan to take it for a weekend trip, the trunk space is 40 inches long and 53 inches wide. It looks big enough to store a couple of check-in luggage and several overnight bags.

At PHP 1,193,888, the 2023 MG GT Sport TST certainly has qualities befitting a compact sports sedan. It may not corner like the Civic RS but its higher torque lets it take off with a bit more bravado. This second-generation model is already on the right track with its powertrain. A few more updates in the MG GT and it can give the segment a run for its money.

Ayaneo 2 - A Six Month Review and Commentary - Far Too Late, But Oh Well

FFVII Intergrade Runs Smooth 30FPS at 1080p Low at 16 watts

Going to try to keep this short, but share some of my thoughts, some go against the popular commentary in this sub, and some go right along with everyone else. There will be some minor comparisons to my Steam Deck, but not really that much. This is a small sub, I'm not going to spend an hour writing up a giant review for 30 people to read and half of them to downvote because I say things they don't like.
- Who am I / Background - Just a simple gamer, console, PC, handheld, arcade, mobile, gacha, retro, modern, streaming, Xbox, PS, Sega, etc. Basically all of it, I just like playing games. I'm not a PCMR guy, but I do have a pretty good PC (3960x, 3080, etc). I don't NEED to max out performance, I'm fine with 30FPS on a lot of games (like JRPG's as you can see in the image). I still play a lot on my Switch and Vita. Had my Steam Deck since March 2022. Busy dad who plays mostly handheld now.
- Initial Experience - I bought from IndieGoGo, it's a 1TB B.Duck model, put my "contribution" in November 4th and had it in my hands by January 12th. Ordered a spare battery at the same time, they put it in the box along with it, no extra shipping charge, battery was like $25. Just bought it because I plan on using this for a long time. AyaSpace was meh, but it worked for me, I'm an IT professional by trade, but I'm not going to mess with much. Games launch fine, easy to adjust TDP, that's all I need. I did eventually install Handheld Control Panel, and I like it a lot more. After adjusting the fan curve I saw recommended by a YouTuber, it's nice and quiet. I play mostly at 20 watts or below, and almost exclusively handheld on the bus/train commute to/from work every day. Overall a pretty positive experience with a small learning curve.
Positives
  • The screen! Not as good as my Switch OLED, but a thousand times better than my Steam Deck.
  • Feels great to hold, aesthetics of the device are pretty much perfect
  • D-Pad is great for me on fighting games, sticks feel great, buttons feel great.
  • Performance is basically exactly what I hoped for, I can run most of the games I want to play at 1080/1200p (yes the difference from 800p to 1200p is worth it for me) and still get a couple hours of battery life.
  • Battery life is pretty good for me. Since I play a lot at 10w or so, I'm regularly getting 2hrs+. I do carry an extra battery bank with me in my backpack pretty much every time I go somewhere because I bring my backpack with me anyway. If I need it, I use it.
  • Docking station works great! No complaints
  • Multiple USB-C ports!
  • Fan is not noticeable until I get above 15 watts, but even then I can play it in bed next to my wife without her complaining. Stock fan curve was louder though.

Neutrals
  • Ayaspace, I mean like I said above, it is what it is. It works, freezes up infrequently, not my favorite interface for sure. Replaced it recently with Handheld Control Panel. Will give Ayaspace 2 a shot
  • Not as seamless as SteamOS 3.0, but I don't really care that much, I can do everything I need and play Honkai Star Rail and all my Xbox Game Pass games without a problem.
  • Price - It's a premium product, but there are equal or better performing products on the market now for significantly less. I'm happy with the $1050 USD I paid (total after everything) but I'm sure some people aren't.
  • LT and RT - the triggers are weird, but I've gotten used to them. The shape is weird, the travel is weird, but I'm accustomed to them now. I don't love them, but I'm used to them.

Negatives
  • My B.Duck has the shell cracking, very happy to see they are going to deal with it for free, but we'll see how the process goes.
  • Fear of service. I treat my stuff super well, but I don't have the peace of mind with it like I do my Steam Deck. If something does break, so many unknowns, makes me nervous.
  • Not much of a community. The people who are active in Discord are awesome and a great resource, but it's a super small community compared to the Steam Deck. It's nice not having to deal with Linux fanboys though. ;)

Commentary (Random thoughts basically)
  • I don't care that they are releasing a new product every few months, it's a business, and mine isn't going to suddenly stop working when they release a new one.
  • I'm a minor videophile, not crazy like some, but I do value a good screen. The screen on the Ayaneo 2 is good enough to make me not even want to touch my Steam Deck unless it's for a very specific purpose
  • I don't miss the trackpads, I tried to force myself to use them for several hours in RimWorld, but I just don't like them. If I want to play a mouse heavy game, I sit at my desk and use a mouse.
  • I feel the price is worth it. I've held the Ally at a local Best Buy, and my Ayaneo 2 feels more premium, the no bezel design makes a HUGE difference.
  • I may consider doing the 7840u upgrade depending on price
  • I don't buy into the "Valve supports the Steam Deck!" stuff. Valve releases constant updates for SteamOS because they are building a new OS, so they HAVE to release updates. As long as AMD supports the chipset and Microsoft continues to release Windows updates, I don't see a major difference.
  • SteamOS 3.0 was a little rough back in Q2 2022, lots of small issues, I've honestly had an overall smoother experience with Windows. It launches my games, that's all I need it to do, the rest of the stuff is fluff that I'm not worried about.

I could go on more, but I don't think it's worth it.
8.5/10 - not perfect, but it doesn't have to be. Would have loved OLED or that upcoming Mini-LED. Performance meets my needs, screen is beautiful, comfortable to hold for an hour or more, controls are excellent.

2023.06.10 22:56 KnightBearrant Wheel and tire advice

Hello and thank you in advance.
I’m purchasing a used 2008 Santa Fe where the stock tires are supposed to be 235/70R16. I say supposed to be because it is only coming with steelies and winter tires. Obviously I’ll need to get summers, and I want to consider rims too so I can potentially swap them myself if I have time. In the course of trying to save a few bucks I found some used rims and tires from a Hyundai Tucson that are 215/65R16. I’m not sure if this difference is significant enough that I should spend the extra money for new rims and tires and am looking for some advice on whether it is ok to use the smaller ones or if the difference would still be too great. And if it is acceptable what sort of differences should I expect.
Thanks again!

2023.06.10 21:15 Vandal63 Rad City 13 (Working Title)

Rad City 13 (Working Title)
I did a thing. I had a wobbly bent rear rim on my Rad City 5+ from a spill I took last winter. It was functional but the spokes were making a lot of noise. A local bike shop did their best to true the wheel but the bend was bad enough they ran out of threads in the spokes. After struggling to get ahold of Rad customer support only to be told they only sell the rear rim as part of the entire assembly, motor and all for $600 I decided to go another route. Instead I bought the 1500 W 27.5” eBike conversion kit from Area 13 for the same price. It’s not an entirely straight swap out. I had to pull the stock controller, solder a new connector on the battery cable, shim out the rear drop out a bit and file out the stock torque arm nuts to fit the larger axle width. Dialing in the new controller was easy thanks to the Area 13 YouTube resources. I could use the stock brake cutoffs and pedal assist sensor. Overall, pretty painless. This motor is plenty powerful to keep my 250 lb butt going up steep hills at 12-15 mph. Good stuff!!

2023.06.10 18:17 Geistmenn Mini-mullet pros & cons? 27.5 front + 26 rear

I have a 2007 Giant Reign X1 with the original Fox 36 Van R 160mm. I know, I know, "Get a new bike, that's outdated!" I get it, but I don't have $3k to spend on a brand new bike, and this one still absolutely rips at least for my skill level as a first-year MTB rider.
Trouble is, it's getting difficult to find decent 26" tires locally with how that size has fallen completely out of fashion. I know Maxxis makes their tires in 26" sizes, but none of my LBS stock them. Also the bike is set up with old-school ghetto tubeless with a 20" tube split along the seam and stretched over the wheel, tire bead set inside of this. The 16 year-old rims are pinned instead of welded, so a modern tubeless setup is not possible.
To alleviate this supply issue and to slightly slacken the head angle for better stability, give better rolling resistance, all the other things that come with a larger front wheel I'm thinking of putting a 27.5 wheel on the front. From what I read online, this fork has plenty of clearance for the bigger wheel. Unfortunately, the rear triangle does not - it has barely 3mm of extra clearance for the very worn-down 26" rear tire that is currently fitted.
All that said, has anyone tried a mini-mullet setup like this on an older bike? Any concerns from those here with more experience riding and wrenching bikes before I go spending money and time?

2023.06.10 17:47 youtubeisdariusblaze Any advice is appropriate

What the heck is wrong with my truck?
Excuse my grammar I’m on mobile.
I have multiple questions regarding my truck. I have a 1993 Ford F-250 with the ol reliable 4.9L 300 inline six.
Except mine is incredibly unreliable.
I bought this truck because my old truck ( 1990 K2500 5.7L 350) kept blowing transmissions ( 700R4). The first one I have no idea how it happened, the second one I accidentally overfilled ( live & learn), the 3rd one roatated 90° ( etc etc off topic)
So my questions regarding my 300 require backstory I will try to keep it short.
I actually drove it in November ( best friend’s brother got a dui & got evicted so I had to help him move his crap)
My chevy crapped out again in January so I bought my friends 300.
I drove it home without fluids ( I have a whole tiktok on it lol). It has no exhaust whatsoever, just the 2 pipes ( one comes from the read of the headers it looks like, the other from the front) it’s all stock & the 02 sensor is still in place just looks hacked off. However, the cat & muffler are connected by this singular hose to I think the EGR or the rear of the engine ( haven’t fully looked).
I bought glass packs & planned on straight piping it ( hate me I know).
It ran fantastic! Until about mid February. It had a hole in the fuel tank so I bought a “ new” tank & I replaced the fuel filter ( it was terrible! I have a tiktok on that as well). I then changed the oil, spark plugs & spark plug wires, roater & cap, fuses, pullys , relay, doors, fenders, vaccume lines, terminals & the battery cables.
It goes through serpentine belts about once a month ( I believe it’s the alternator pully)
Now i can start it up. Run it cold & it runs meh. I can go 50mph but the second I stop or it warms up it stalls like crazy. The only fix was replacing the spark plugs again. I towed about 1500lbs of gravel & it ran fine. Then 2 weeks later it stalls again once it hits operating temperature. Could it be the fuel pump?
Here are my questions.
  1. I’ve read there is a lot you can “ delete” on the 300. What will a egr delete do? Pros?cons? function? I don’t mind a check engine light
  2. What could be causing the stalling? It’s only after I get into 2nd or 3rd & then stop at a stop sign or traffic light ( if I even get to town)
I tend to play parts magnet but my only 2 guesses are timing ( I know it’s gear on gear but i have no idea what that means) and the fuel pump.
  1. Any other advice on these engines ( 4.9 300l6) would be nice
I’m a self taught “mechanic” so I’m still learning & I just want my truck to run reliable.

For months all of my windows roll down but not up except for my driver side window and I’m not sure what the main issue is. The driver side window is the only one that rolls up. I’ve checked the known fuses in the fuse box and they were good. Everything else I’ve read says that It could be the master switch going bad which causes a bunch of problems elsewhere. Has anyone had the same issue or know what the main problem could be?

2023.06.10 13:33 VeryBigdDick prompt

Prompt Engineering. This prompt book will help you learn essential building blocks and
all the techniques to master Stable Diffusion.
The secret for generating good images
A well-written prompt consisting of modifiers and a good
sentence structure. We will also show you all types of modifiers and some magic words.
Well-adjusted Stable Diffusion weights. You can
always use the default, but sometimes fine-tuned weights can generate better results.
This will strengthen your ability to
bring your creative dream images to life.

Prompt keyword weighting is supported. You can increase the attention of a keyword but not higher than 1.5.
Use the format (example:weight). By default, words have a coefficient of 1 (example: 0.4), they will have a lower priority.

Attention for words Technique:
Adding "()" in the prompt increases attention to enclosed words, while "[]" decreases it. You can combine multiple modifiers:
- a (word) - increase attention to word by a factor of 1.1
- a ((word)) - increase attention to word by a factor of 1.21 (= 1.1 * 1.1)
- a [word] - decrease attention to word by a factor of 1.1
- a (word:1.5) - increase attention to word by a factor of 1.5
- a (word:0.25) - decrease attention to word by a factor of 4 (= 1 / 0.25)

You can also use a few words in "()" and "[]". You can also use a few words in "()" and "[]".

Also you can still use this structure: (example, example :weight), so the weight will increase for several words at once.
Examples: (grayscale, woodcut:1.2); (((blue hair, floating hair, liquid hair, chromatic aberration))); (rutkowski, artstation:0.8); (masterpiece, best quality:1.4); [cute, volumetric fog]

Please note that to increase or decrease the weight of several words, you need to put a comma between them.

Start by asking a list of questions
  1. Do you want a photo or a painting?
  2. What’s the subject of the photo? Person? An animal or perhaps a landscape?
  3. What details do you want to add?
a) Special Lighting. Soft, ambient, ring light, neon

b) Environment. Indoor, outdoor, underwater, in space

c) Color Scheme. Vibrant, dark, pastel

e) Point of view. Front, Overhead, Side

f) Background. Solid color, nebula, forest

  1. In a specific art style? 3D render, studio ghibli, movie poster
  2. A specific photo type? Macro, telephoto

This is not an all-inclusive list, but will help you get great results when you start.
your prompt crafting journey.
Answer the following questions:
  1. Do you want a photo or a painting? => painting
  2. What’s the subject of the photo? Person. animal, landscape. => a goldendoodle
  3. In a certain camera position? side view, from bottom, from above, from behind => from behind
  4. What details do you want to be added? => suit

a. Special Lighting. Soft, ambient, ring light, neon => natural light

b. Environment. Indoor, outdoor, underwater, in space => in the sky

c. Color Scheme. Vibrant, dark, pastel => with bright colors

  1. In specific art style? 3D render, studio ghibli, movie poster => by Studio Ghibli

The order of words is important
The order and presentation of our desired output is almost as an important aspect as the vocabulary itself. It is recommended to list your concepts explicitly and separately than trying to cramp it into one simple sentence.

The keyword categories are:

  1. Subject: what you want to see in the image, such as a person, an object, a scene, etc.
  2. Medium: the material used to make the artwork, such as illustration, oil painting, realistic, anime, 3D rendering, etc.
  3. Style: the artistic style of the image, such as impressionist, surrealist, pop art, etc.
  4. Artist: the name of a specific artist or multiple artists whose style you want to emulate or blend.
  5. Website: the name of a niche graphic website that aggregates images of a certain genre, such as Artstation or Deviant Art.
  6. Additional details: any other modifiers that can enhance the image, such as sci-fi, stunningly beautiful, dystopian, etc.
  7. Color: the overall color or tone of the image, such as iridescent gold, pastel pink, etc.
  8. Lighting: the effect of light and shadow on the image, such as cinematic lighting, soft lighting, dark, dark shot, bright, etc.

You don’t have to include keywords from all categories. You can use them as a checklist to remind you what could be used.
A negative prompt is a way to tell the neural network what should not be in the image. You can use words or phrases that describe what you want to avoid or exclude from the image. You can also use weights in negative prompt to increase or decrease the effect of certain words.

Generally accepted negative prompt is considered: (deformed, distorted, disfigured:1.3), poorly drawn, bad anatomy, wrong anatomy, extra limb, missing limb, floating limbs, (mutated hands and fingers:1.4), disconnected limbs, mutation, mutated, ugly, disgusting, blurry, amputation.

Realistic negative prompt: overexposed, (deformed iris, deformed pupils, semi-realistic, cgi, 3d, render, sketch, cartoon, drawing, anime:1.3), text, close up, cropped, out of frame, worst quality, low quality, jpeg artifacts, ugly, duplicate, morbid, mutilated, extra fingers, mutated hands, poorly drawn hands, poorly drawn face, mutation, deformed, blurry, dehydrated, bad anatomy, bad proportions, extra limbs, cloned face, disfigured, gross proportions, malformed limbs, missing arms, missing legs, extra arms, extra legs, fused fingers, too many fingers, long neck.

For positive prompt and negative prompt, I have thought of universal keywords - styles. You may not find them in the examples because they are new. Almost every style has a Negative prompt. It is advisable to write it together with positive prompt.

An example of how to use styles if you want to create a cat image in a Professional photo style:
  1. Positive prompt: (dark shot:1.4), 80mm, cat, soft light, sharp, exposure blend, medium shot, bokeh, (hdr:1.4), high contrast, (cinematic, teal and orange:0.85), (muted colors, dim colors, soothing tones:1.3), low saturation, (hyperdetailed:1.2), (noir:0.4)

  1. Negative prompt: neon, (deformed, distorted, disfigured:1.3), poorly drawn, bad anatomy, wrong anatomy, extra limb, missing limb, floating limbs, (mutated hands and fingers:1.4), disconnected limbs, mutation, mutated, ugly, disgusting, blurry, amputation, over saturated

For example, if you want to generate an image of a girl with Natural skin:

  1. Positive prompt: girl, (natural skin texture, hyperrealism, soft light, sharp)

  1. Negative prompt: (cgi:0.9), (deformed, distorted, disfigured:1.3), poorly drawn, bad anatomy, wrong anatomy, extra limb, missing limb, floating limbs, (mutated hands and fingers:1.4), disconnected limbs, mutation, mutated, ugly, disgusting, blurry, amputation, 3d, illustration, cartoon, (doll:0.9)

Here are completely universal styles that you can combine and use in your prompt(I highly recommend using them!):

2023.06.10 10:31 Davemo0n Searching for rims

Hi there. I'm struggling to find new rims for my Axial Yeti XL. The part number is AX31274 and i'm located in Germany. Most shops have them listed but out of stock. And when there are some I stock an I order, they send a mail apologizing they are out of stock. I don't want to order in the US due to customs and cost. Any ideas? Different rims/wheels for the existing hub?

Idk if anybody has this problem and a way to prevent this but my my rc stock hex keeps stripping the hell out of my new tires on the inside so the tire rim inside gets rounded out and the tire will end up falling off from too much bashing and running high speeds. Any solution? Lock tie?

2023.06.10 02:49 yerminhouser Help me decided between these two? My pros and cons in the body.

Chevy SS pros: Unique, will hold value better, better aftermarket modding platform, more room, lighter than the 392
Chevy SS cons: Not that great looking stock, less HP stock than the 392, transmission worse than the 392, no CarPlay
392 pros: More HP from factory, stock looks are awesome, ZF 8 speed is fantastic, comes with a lot of tech
392 cons: Not as unique as the SS, not as much aftermarket potential as the SS, heavier, not as much space
