2023.06.11 00:18 PepperTheBlackKat How to diversify your promotion (Don't put all of your eggs in one basket)
With Reddit pushing their new policy in July, if you haven't done so already, I highly recommend diversifying your promotion NOW for your sub sites like OF, Fansly, etc. With that being said, I've created a list of promotion tools I've found successful for promoting (**Note that this is what has personally helped me. Do what works for you):
**Live Camming** Sites like MyFreeCams are OF friendly when its comes to promoting (They also help to build up a solid fanbase while making extra money) **Note: Look at the guidelines for each site
**PornHub** I've found that uploading 30 second / video previews of my niche has also helped me gain subs as well as build social media / fanbase community (You can also link your fanbase site)
**Clip Sites** are also a good promotion for your fanbase sites as well as making passive income
**Twitter / Instagram/ Facebook Business Page** If done correctly (While following guidelines), these social media sites can also be great for promoting!
**YouTube** When I had my account, I gained subs through content like ASMR videos *Note: Make sure to keep content "friendly"
I've found that making my presence on both SFW and NSFW adult entertainment sites have helped me keep a steady flow of subs. NEVER EVER put all of your eggs in one basket, because any site can be here today and gone tomorrow when it comes to what is available for virtual SWers. Diversifying your promotion can also create multiple streams of income / passive income. I hope this helps!

2023.06.11 00:14 National-Clerk5653 Hacked or just overly paranoid?
So yesterday I used Tor for the first time at around 10 to 11 pm. Well, the official android app for Tor. But all I did was search me and my friend's names and the county we live in clearnet and darknet searches with duckduckgo, looked at the darknet versions of Facebook and reddit (I didn't log in) and find some clearnet 20 year old chatroom that I tried to enter but couldn't since I didn't have javascript enabled. (Yeah, I know, not typically what people use it for. I got bored all right? I live in a dead town and haven't gotten out in a while. I was hoping maybe I could find an old forum or something related to the area.) All in all, it didn't seem like something that could cause trouble for me. But later that night I noticed something strange with the chrome app, anytime id type anything in the search bar I'd get a bunch of links from chrome://chrome-urls/ instead of suggestions under my query.. I don't have chrome beta so kind of odd. Especially since Tor and Chrome are separate apps. I woke up at 4 am today and uninstalled Tor, and when I went to Chrome the links were gone and suggestions were back to normal. I freaked out immediately thinking someone hacked me, changed my Google password, secured my other accounts, and everything has been fine ever since. But I'm paranoid. Especially since I also looked at my YouTube watch history that morning, mistook the ads that showed up for videos someone else watched (though one of them I remember seeing something about Bitcoin and that might not have been me, but it also could've just been the cash app bitcoin ad), I was too busy freaking out to get a good look at it and deleted it and signed every other device on my account out, and cleared my search history fully. there might've been one there that wasn't mine, but again, I didn't get a good look at it and my phone's tend to show up as wildly different devices depending on when I log in with them.
Anyways to get to the point, I'm still concerned about that incident with Chrome. Could it be because someone hacked me or was it just some wierd glitch, the result of some search history tripping up the algorithm or just some odd interaction between Tor and Chrome?
I've been checking my Google account for any odd activity like every 30 minutes since then and well, nothing.
Does anyone know what actually happened? I've been on edge the entire day about it.

2023.06.11 00:05 tburkeulosis17 Recessed lighting can does not have wing-nut to allow changing the height of the socket. Any ideas on how to raise the bracket holding the socket would be greatly appreciated!
I recently purchased LED lights to replace the original recessed lighting trim and bulbs but I have been unable to raise the socket to allow enough clearance for the new lights. I need the socket bracket to elevate approximately 2โ in order to securely fit the new LEDs but there is no wing-nut to allow for height adjustment. I have searched google and YouTube as well as Reddit for similar posts but canโt seem to find anything helpful as all posts are dealing with cans that have wing-nuts. Does anybody have any ideas on how to raise the socket bracket? Thanks in advance!

2023.06.11 00:04 zliperz 25/M/Brazil ๐ง๐ท โ Hey, let me see your halo..
Hello, welcome, dear visitor!
Right now, you're reading the words of a 25-year-old Brazilian guy, and to be honest, I'm possibly one of the most eclectic guys you can meet. You know that person who's interested in so many different things that you just feel like you could talk for hours and hours and never get bored? Well, I hope to be that person for you.
I work remotely in an online education business, my hours are flexible, which allows me to enjoy geographical freedom, so I want to take this opportunity to adopt digital nomadism, even if it's just for a year or two, it's an experience I need to live.
Studying history and culture from other countries is something that fascinates me, I mean, I'm even interested in the smallest details of everyday life. That means I research about people's experiences living in those countries, the cultural differences they feel between cities, how laws work, what entertainment options are available, which local bands are successful in that region, what language-related difficulties they face, how social life is in general, what the food is like, etc. For instance, I also love watching movies and series set in other countries, and there are YouTube channels where a guy with a camera walks through various cities around the world, just filming, like a "virtual tour," I think it's awesome. I need to travel and see all these things with my own eyes. I want to feel the world, discover new flavors, appreciate new melodies, acquire new accents... I want to live.
I'm writing this ad for two reasons:
First: As mentioned in the previous paragraph, I'm very interested in life in other countries, in the broadest way you can imagine. So being able to talk to people who were born in other parts of the world, often with a completely different background from mine, would be special, don't you think? I believe we can share experiences and learn a lot from each other. We can learn from our differences, we can be surprised by our similarities, we can laugh together at various memes and dumb jokes. We can share playlists.
Second: I really want to expand my social circle, I'm open to new friendships in my life, that add value and stay long term! That would be perfect. However, I have to be transparent with you about the type of person I'm looking for, here are the requirements:
. You are truly open and receptive to a new friendship.
. You feel comfortable with long messages. You're quite talkative.
. You believe we have things in common (the more, the better) and we can get along well.
. The more optimistic and self-confident you are, the better.
. I'm open to meeting people from any continent, country, city, even Brazilians.
. I'm open to people of all ages (as long as you're an adult).
Music: I listen to pretty much everything: Rock (progressive, punk, new wave, grunge, classic, indie, emo, etc), POP, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Reggae, Tango, Classical Music, Bossa Nova, Country, Metal, Soul, etc. Old and new songs, no problem at all. I've created more than 40 playlists on my Spotify, and each one is in a different language. Discovering new artists is something I do almost daily. Consequently, I also enjoy watching people dance, and my favorite styles are Tango, Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Waltz, and Urban Dance. I really love watching choreography videos. If you want to see my playlists on Spotify, here's the link:
https://www.reddit.com/usezliperz/comments/12uuotg/my_playlists/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button You'll find playlists in Italian
The "Sodamania" playlist is my favorite band's playlist, Soda Stereo from Argentina ๐ฆ๐ท.
Movies: Believe it or not, I watch movies of any genre, from horror (Us, Hostel, SAW) to children's animations (Chicken Little, Over the Hedge, Tangled), as long as the experience is good, that's what matters. My official favorite movies are: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Once, Blue Jay, Bridge to Terabithia, Finding Neverland. There are other movies that could make this list because I love them too: La Vita ร Bella, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, It's a Wonderful Life, Shutter Island, Jab We Met, Arrival, Eternals... There are many other movies that I really enjoyed watching, like Logan, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Tree of Life, Song to Song, Catch Me If You Can, Forrest Gump, Grease, Medianeras, etc. And yes, I'm excited to watch Barbie in the cinema. I like classics like Rocky, Rambo, but there are many other classics that I haven't watched yet, you'd be surprised if you knew. The actress I like the most is Audrey Hepburn, for everything she represented, for her elegance on and off the screen, super authentic and admirable. When it comes to TV series, I also like several (Suits is one of my favorites), however, in recent years, I've been giving a lot of preference to Korean dramas. I used to really enjoy a Japanese reality show called Terrace House, but it got canceled. Honorable mention goes to Bnei Aruba, a great Israeli series.
Sports: I root for a Brazilian soccer team called Grรชmio. I love watching Olympic games (including Winter Olympics). I like watching F1 races (rooting for Leclerc), Tennis matches. I'm getting closer and closer to the major American leagues, and I'm strongly sympathizing with the Boston Celtics, in the other leagues, I still don't have a defined team. When I was a kid, I played soccer and practiced swimming. In the future, I want to play tennis, and it would also be cool to practice martial arts (kung fu, karate, and taekwondo).
Languages: Portuguese ๐ง๐ท is my native language, but I can handle English ๐ฌ๐ง and Spanish ๐ช๐ธ pretty well too. I've studied a bit (basic) of Italian ๐ฎ๐น, French ๐ซ๐ท, German ๐ฉ๐ช, and Norwegian ๐ณ๐ด. Right now, I'm studying the Arabic alphabet ๐ฆ๐ช and taking my first steps in Korean ๐ฐ๐ท, Japanese ๐ฏ๐ต, Hebrew ๐ฎ๐ฑ, and Croatian ๐ญ๐ท.
Religion: I'm a Noahide. A non-Jew who believes in the Torah. My theological view is similar to Orthodox Judaism, although our lifestyles are different. So if you're Jewish (or Israeli ๐ฎ๐ฑ), it would be great to have your company. If you're Muslim, know that I'd love to meet you too. I want to visit several Muslim countries, including each of the United Arab Emirates ๐ฆ๐ช, Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ, Turkey ๐น๐ท (especially Izmir), Saudi Arabia ๐ธ๐ฆ, Egypt ๐ช๐ฌ, Jordan ๐ฏ๐ด, Qatar ๐ถ๐ฆ, etc. If you're Hindu ๐ฎ๐ณ or any other religion, feel welcome too. My family is Christian, so I have no problem talking to Christians either.

2023.06.11 00:00 zliperz 25/M/Brazil ๐ง๐ท โ Hey, let me see your halo..
Politics: I'll only talk about the economic issue: I believe in the free market, I love the Austrian School, and I identify with Mises' thinking. That's it.
Look, I'm a guy who loves to laugh. I like to have fun. I like to have deep conversations and also silly conversations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjfVfur5-bY My Starter Pokemon = ๐ง๐ข
Just started playing "PokeMMO" , I dreamed of a game like this growing up, imagining what if trainers in the game zones could be other players who were also playing in real time from around the world? And now it is a reality.... this game has been around for a few years so I imagine it's only become more polished over time. There's a few other online Pokemon games but this is the best of them all for sure , it runs off the files of 4 different titles so the graphics & gameplay are just like the official games and it combines travel between different regions. Pretty amazing, you can Trade and Battle with other real players, there's an economy for collecting different Pokemon types, there's tournaments...
You can find it on the App Stores as literally "PokeMMO". The only slightly difficult part to getting the game going is a small bit of downloading the needed ROM files that PokeMMO asks you to connect to the app during setting up the game before playing. There are other videos on YouTube (search PokeMMO + ROMS for example) or on Google, Reddit etc. if you have any trouble or questions on how get the game working for you.
PokeMMO should work on Windows, Android, iOS, Linux and Mac. I thought most people would enjoy playing on their phones Gameboy style (especially with a controller shell like GameSir or Razer Kishi, Xbox One controllers, etc.) but getting it working for the first time may be easier to acomplish on a desktop machine before your phone if you haven't tinkered around with getting games working on your phone. It really isn't that difficult though.
Thank you, enjoy : - )

2023.06.10 23:56 SalemxCaleb Help me learn how to dutch braid or French braid?
I have a week off work at the beginning of July and I desperately want to learn to Dutch braid my hair. I am hair dumb. I have elbow length hair that I keep braided but I have little stray hairs that blow around in the fan at my job and I hate it. I work a very physical job and want to keep it out of my face. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial site or video that is easy to follow? I don't have any other social besides reddit, so maybe a YouTube video? Thanks to anyone who reads this

Politics: I'll only talk about the economic issue: I believe in the free market, I love the Austrian School, and I identify with Mises' thinking. That's it.
Look, I'm a guy who loves to laugh. I like to have fun. I like to have deep conversations and also silly conversations. I like to talk about Greek mythology, architecture, technology, and also like to talk about fashion, cooking, animals, etc. I'm ambiverted, I hate lies, my zodiac sign is Gemini (not that it matters), I need to fight procrastination every day. I walk fast on the street, and it bothers me when people are walking slowly in front of me. Iโm from Belo Horizonte and I've never been to Rio de Janeiro. I have a diary. I want to leave photographic records for future generations. I hate bothering people. But you know what? I'm a great listener, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and hearing your stories! We can be great friends... I know that most of the time things don't work out here the way we'd like them to, but so what? We're here now, and we have the chance to do things differently, right?! So come on, let's start something beautiful!
If you've read this far and identified with my words, send me your best message, and I'll make it worth it!

2023.06.10 23:53 zliperz 25/M/Brazil ๐ง๐ท โ Hey, let me see your halo.. [friendship]
2023.06.10 23:46 fouldemonsandbeasts PokeMMO Starting New Game for the First Time!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjfVfur5-bY Just started playing "PokeMMO" , I dreamed of a game like this growing up, imagining what if trainers in the game zones could be other players who were also playing in real time from around the world?

2023.06.10 23:42 Basic_43 What Started As โReverse Sneezingโ
| After reading the comments in a recent post (linked below), I thought Iโd share my experience with reverse sneezingโฆ My basset hound sounded exactly like the pug in the post Iโm referencing so I did a little research just like the other poster. According to YouTube, Reddit, and veterinary experts, itโs called reverse sneezing and is very common. However, if you dig beyond identifying the โsound of a reverse coughโ, veterinary experts will also tell you that just because reverse sneezing is common, this doesnโt mean you should ignore it and move on. Breed, frequency of sneezing, and pet history should also be considered. Fast forward a couple of months into the reverse sneezingโฆas you can tell from my videos, my dog now sounds like a coughing chain smoker. I took her to a vet a couple of weeks ago. Turns out, the underlying cause of the reverse sneezing was an infection (bronchitis). Sheโs slowly improving after taking antibiotics, but still has lingering cough. Had I ignored it any longer, it could have led to more severe, permanent lung damage or tracheal collapse. My point- yes, reverse sneezing is common and nothing to worry about most of the time, but only your vet can rule out more serious causes. https://www.reddit.com/DogAdvice/comments/145ucex/what_is_happening_to_our_dog_anyone_has_any_idea/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1 submitted by Basic_43 to DogAdvice [link] [comments] |

2023.06.10 23:33 MoriartyHPlus An Open Letter to the r/NewTubers Community: NewTubers will be dark as of 6/12
Greetings to our incredible
NewTubers community,
We find ourselves at a pivotal point, standing at the intersection of determination, community, and change. As we navigate through the challenges laid before us, we want to shed light on the operations of our community and address the concerns many of you have shared.
To start, our robust community, growing at an impressive 2% per month and witnessing over 1.9 million views a month, is maintained by a devoted team of just five moderators. Yes, you read that right, only five. These diligent moderators manage tens of thousands of posts and comments every month, with an average of 250 posts being removed every single day. This already equates to dozens of man-hours every week, all driven by the love for this community and the content creators within it.
Due to the high volume of activity, we heavily rely on automation and third-party applications to facilitate the running of
NewTubers. They are not just handy tools, they are essential. You might ask, why not simply add more moderators? The reality is that we demand a high level of quality, and this level of activity proves too much for many. We receive few applications, accept even fewer, and of those, very few stay once they realize the scope of the commitment required.
Despite these challenges, we've grown from 5000 users posting links with zero engagement, to a community that engages over 20 million users a year, reading and posting tens of thousands of times a month. This growth, however, also means we receive a significant number of reports. There are days when we remove more posts than new ones are made, as we catch up on missed reports from the previous day. Of these, 70% are spam and 10% are advertisements.
Unlike many subreddits dedicated to YouTubers, ours is unique.
We are YouTubers, actively creating, and this space has been carved out to aid creators like us to reach new heights. Our FAQ, worked on by NewTubers who have achieved virality and coached some of the biggest creators in the world, is regarded as the best resource for
any YouTuber worldwide. It's freely available for anyone willing to navigate through Reddit's user interface. It has been so influential that it's been used as a source for paid YouTube Guru classes.
Our community provides a unique opportunity for learning and improvement. Every post you make here offers immediate feedback on your copywriting skills. A decrease in clicks? That could be due to a poorly written intro or title, a valuable lesson for your YouTube career. Every interaction is a chance to enhance your social skills.
Our Discord server is unlike any other. It's a place where your achievements, whether they're 10 views or a million, are celebrated. It's a safe haven where you're not belittled for not knowing PewDiePie or Casey, or for having only 50,000 views on a video. This safe space is now under threat due to changes implemented by Reddit.
Reddit's decision to
make changes to their API is making our job more difficult. We do not agree with this position, and we feel the need to take a stand.
As a result, we will be going dark as of 6/12 for an indeterminate amount of time. We firmly believe that there is an opportunity for Reddit to reconsider their decisions, but it requires a collective effort to reverse these unfavorable changes. This is a call for Reddit to genuinely understand and listen to the concerns of its users, mods, and developers affected by these changes.
We want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to ensure that
NewTubers remains a thriving, supportive community for all YouTubers. We are committed to fighting for the rights of our users, our moderators, and the third-party apps that help us manage this community.
We appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Remember, every challenge is an opportunity to improve your knowledge, every interaction a chance to improve your social skills. We are all in this together, and together, we can overcome these challenges.
Thank you for being a part of
NewTubers. We are proud of what we've built together, and we will continue to fight for our community.
Sincerely,
The
NewTubers Moderation Team

2023.06.10 23:31 Rp0605 Paradox Pokรฉmon names
Several Reddit posts, as well as some YouTube videos, have been dedicated to complaining about how the Paradox Pokรฉmon names are bad. Theyโve said things like, โthey donโt feel like Pokรฉmon namesโ and โtheyโre boring.โ
I disagree. I think that the Paradox Pokรฉmon, both past and future, have perfect names.
Past Paradox Pokรฉmon:
The past paradox Pokรฉmon have names that are structured the same as the dinosaurs. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was the most infamous dinosaur of all time, and itโs name means Tyrant King. Similar in vein to this, Koraidon actually has the name โWinged Kingโ they probably wanted it to stand out from the other past paradox Pokรฉmon.
To me, having the past Paradox a Pokรฉmon have names structured in a manner reminiscent of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures is perfect.
I suppose they could have changed them to be latinized or whatever, that way they arenโt English phrases, but I honestly prefer them as they are.
Future Paradox Pokรฉmon:
The future paradox Pokรฉmon are named by using the word โIronโ followed by some trait that helps identify that Pokรฉmon. Just as Koraidon has a name that follows the pattern used by past paradox Pokรฉmon, Miraidon also has the name โIron Serpent.โ
To me, these names are even better than the past paradox Pokemon. The names hint at a future where Pokรฉmon are no longer these mystical beings that roam the world alongside us. A future where Pokรฉmon are nothing more than tools used to assist humans.
