2015.06.03 06:16 Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity
Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity is an officially recognized disability in Sweden (this is not recognized as an illness because no diagnosis exists for this condition).” Professor Johansson gave the example of a head ache “ how can one measure the pain or prove the existence of a head ache?” Sweden ranks in the top 10 in the world for healthcare. Magnetic Flux poses the largest threat to individuals with EMHS.
2023.03.28 20:26 LIS1050010 Do You Have the Skills You Need to Survive a Depression?
Do you think you have the
skills to survive a Depression?
Let’s face it. We may say we’re preparing for winter blizzards or freak hurricanes, but down deep, if you’re a prepper,
what you’re really preparing for is a collapse of America’s economy. It may happen within a few days, or it may be a continual downward slide over many years. Its causes may include numerous Katrina-size natural disasters, a toppling federal government, chaos on Main Street, and the odd meteor or two.
Regardless of the causes,
we want our families to be as secure as possible for the long haul.
So, the question that naturally arises is:
How do you prepare for a Greatest Depression? Is it even possible to prepare for something that may last a decade or much, much longer? Is it better to be a homeowner, even if someday you’re unable to make your mortgage payments, or is it better to have mobility and rent? Should you leave your life savings and retirement funds where they are or take the tax and penalty hit and invest in land, or gold, or a year’s worth of food?
While there are no definitive answers to these questions,
you can take stock of your level of preparedness, see where the gaps are, and work to fill them.
Assess Your Depression Survival Skills
Let’s begin by
evaluating your skills that would help you survive a depression. Answer yes or no to the following questions:
Easy skills level:
- Do you know how to sew on a button?
- Do you know how to use an oil lamp?
- Do you know how to boil an egg?
- Do you know how to ride a bike?
- Do you know how to keep houseplants alive?
If you answered yes to
all five, move on to the next level.
Medium skills level:
- Do you know how to cut up a whole chicken?
- Do you know how to hem or fix a rip in clothing?
- Do you have a stocked first aid kit in your home?
- Do you know how to build and maintain a fire?
- Do you know how to cook and season dried beans?
If you answered yes to
any of the five, move on to the next level.
Hard skills level:
- Do you know how to grow your own vegetables?
- Do you know how to use a pattern and sew your own clothes?
- Do you know how to can fruits and vegetables?
- Do you know how to start a fire without matches?
- Do you know how to raise chickens?
- Do you have a fully prepared emergency kit in your home?
- Do you own and know how to use a gun?
- Do you or someone in the home know how to fish and hunt?
- Do you have a well-stocked pantry?
- Do you know how to make a quilt?
- Do you know how to bake bread from scratch?
- Do you know CPR and basic first aid skills?
- Do you have the physical ability to ride a bike?
- Do you know how to purify water for drinking?
- Do you know how to cook in a dutch oven with charcoal?
If you answered yes to
all in this level, congratulations! You will survive.
If you passed the easy and medium levels but failed the hard level, not to worry.
You are teachable. A Boy Scout learns 99% of these depression survival skills! Select a skill to learn, make a plan, and then work the plan! Rinse and repeat.
Now, let’s consider a question.
Readers Respond: How Should We Prepare for a Greatest Depression?
If we could talk with survivors of the first Great Depression and ask them, “If you could go back to 1925, how would you have prepared for the Great Depression,” I wonder what they would say.
We’re preparing for something on a worldwide scale, so I asked Survival Mom readers this question:
How should we prepare for a Greatest Depression? Here is a curated selection of those responses.
- Is it possible to prepare for something that may last decades? Yes, but it’s not easy. I think it involves home ownership (not a mortgage, which means the bank pretty much owns your home), enough land for self-sustainability, and the skills to utilize that land. I see prepping as something that will help me get through lean times. Hopefully, we never have to survive totally off our food storage. Instead, our food storage will just help us stretch our budget if things get hard. (Bitsy)
- I remember my grandparents and uncles talking about the Great Depression and WWII rationing; honestly, I don’t think they noticed a huge difference in their lives. They lived very simple lives in eastern Kentucky, my grandfather quitting school at 7 to go to work. But they also had skills that most of us preppers can only dream of. Inflated food costs were no big deal if you were growing most all of what you needed. They kept gardens, orchards, chickens, and cows. Made their own clothes. Mended their own shoes. Never really strayed too far from home. If we’re going to survive something long-term, we HAVE to relearn those basic skills and learn to take care of ourselves. (Andrea)
- The way I look at it, my food storage and other preps are giving me OPTIONS and increased flexibility at a time when we might all need to be extremely creative to thrive. I won’t be nearly so dependent on a steady paycheck, so even if I lose my job, I can make it for some amount of time without facing utter hopelessness. If I’m fortunate enough to have a job and steady pay, I can use my money for needs other than food. All I’ve stored is insurance and wealth for bartering. (Linda)
- We know how to can, dehydrate, and we are saving many staples, but do we know how to fix and repair? Can we stitch a wound or have an understanding of herbal remedies for when doctors are not in the budget? The preparation we need to do is on every single level of our lives. (Kris)
- I think of food storage as a supplement if things somehow manage to limp along. If things completely collapse, then food storage becomes not a supplement but a bridge to tide us over while new ways of growing and transporting food are worked out. Keep in mind that there are basic differences in types of food. Grain is relatively easy to transport for long distances and is more likely to be at least somewhat available. Perishable items like meat, eggs, and fresh vegetables are likely to only be available according to what is locally produced or from your own backyard. Basic gardening skills can be ramped up fairly quickly, but those basic skills take years to learn. If you anticipate the need to produce your own food, get started now. Even if it is on a very small scale, you need to learn by experience what works and what doesn’t for your situation. Once you’ve got the basics covered, expanding the output is just a matter of doing more of the same. Buying a can of “survival seeds” and thinking that you’ll just plant them if the need arises is not a plan – it is almost guaranteed to fail at a time when failure could have very serious consequences. Can we prepare for something that will last for generations? That is really the question in a society such as ours, where the same systems that make us so efficient and wealthy are extremely fragile and interconnected by their very nature. Our system has no resilience, so if one part collapses, it can take everything else down with it. My preparations for a multi-generational collapse take a different approach than the typical prepper. Long-term preparations include a home-schooling library for our grandchildren, an extensive library on a wide variety of topics, “obsolete” technology in the form of slide rules (they were used for all the calculations that put man on the moon and built the Boeing 747), and quality basic hand tools and fasteners of various types. The worst thing that could happen in this regard is for our society to lose the basic knowledge we have built over the past 6,000 years. (Stephen M.)
- Before the Great Depression, most Americans did not live the life of affluence, that is the middle class and above standard of today. They were not poor by that era’s standard. As a matter of fact, compared to their immigrant parents’ life in the old world, they were very well off. Go look at a middle-class house built around the turn of the last century. Rooms are small to conserve heat. The closets are tiny because that’s all the room they needed. Few people had more than two or three changes of clothing. My Grandmother rarely owned more than four dresses at any one time. The newest one for church and special occasions. The next older one is for going out in public, such as visiting and going to town. The next older one for everyday wear. (and I mean every day, the same dress.) The very oldest one, oft mended and patched, for doing dirty work. The house I live in now, built in 1920, originally had a total of only four electric sockets. Nobody thought someone would have enough appliances to need more. My point here is that many people like my grandparents didn’t feel much difference once the Depression hit because they didn’t have much to lose. They were accustomed to a life that we consider austerity. Modern Americans are more spoiled than they think. $8 a gallon for gas is no big deal when you don’t own a car and never did and only dreamed you ever would. (Barbara)
- I think it will be a different type of depression than it was back in the 30’s. People were closer to the earth and didn’t count on the government as much. They also “networked” alot and used barter with friends and neighbors even in the good times before the depression. This is one thing I have been working on myself. (Woodnick)
- Zero DEBT!!! (George)
- I would consider every purchase NOW in light of how it would be viewed if LATER we were in a Depression. For instance, would your child benefit more from a pocket knife or a new video game? A book or a plastic toy? An emergency radio that doubles as an MP3 player or an iPod? Buy things of quality, too. I would replace things now that you can. (Katy)
- I think learning skills to survive a depression and teaching those skills to your children is important. My daughter can knit, sew, and crochet better than I can. In fact, my son can sew better than I can. We homeschool, so we have lots of books, including stockpiled curriculum for grades my children have not yet reached (in case we can’t afford to buy a math textbook then). Textbooks get low priority compared with food. I guess I am looking at a scenario where life is likely to get much harder and everything but food and shelter is considered a luxury. (Katy)
- You get comfortable with populations shifting around, little or nothing in the way of government public services, and surviving without a job. You get used to using absolutely every part of everything you have. You “fix it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.” You learn how to plant and harvest and butcher and shoot. (Sunshine)
- For a large-scale long-term Depression, I’d continue to store food and basic necessities as there may come a time when we have to completely rely on them. However, if there is no telling how long it would last, then money and storage would eventually run out. I have written about coming up with a personal economic crash plan to fall back on if or when a worst-case scenario happens. Not pretty to think about, but it may have to include moving in with family to pool resources, selling off belongings, possible bartering, etc. The main thing is survival and learning to live on less now. Imaging the worst-case scenario would help in preparing and not being in a state of shock if it happens. (Bernie)
- Lately, every time I shop and buy something, I ask myself, “What would I do if I couldn’t buy this thing? How would I make do ?” It’s really made me think and has caused me to stockpile some items I hadn’t previously thought about, like repair supplies for water hoses and shoes and iron-on repair patches for clothes. Sometimes, I’ve gone to the internet and printed off recipes for homemade cleaning products, vinegar, fruit pectin, and instructions for darning socks, making paper and homemade ink and glue, etc. I don’t have time to learn to do all that stuff right now, but I want that info in my survival notebook for later, just in case. (Linda)
- My mother will soon be 88. She was young during the depression. She said there wasn’t a change in their living standard. They lived in a rural area on a working farm. If they didn’t raise it or make it, they didn’t need it. They never had much to begin with, and when the depression began, they couldn’t tell any difference. I suppose somewhere in that story is our lesson. I am afraid that we may have lost enough of our morals and skills and have grown so used to our creature comforts that perhaps a depression could be much harder on us than the last one . . . much harder. (Reggie)
- I advise stocking up on tools and tools and more tools. Especially consumable tools. A bow saw with a dozen extra blades. Extra drill bits. My cordless 14.4 drill is going on 12 years. I advise a solar panel for recharging. If you have the motivation, tools will help you tremendously in building what you need. I think that there will be an abundance of emptied structures to strip for raw materials. We will be pulling screws and nails from buildings. Every one will have value. But stocking up on extra boxes now is not a bad idea. (Sierra D.)
- We are concentrating on learning skills to survive a depression. This year we are learning to save seed from our garden produce. I learned to knit this summer and have gotten some yarn on clearance from different places. I just watched videos on how to make tallow candles and pemmican….we have never saved the tallow from the deer and elk that the boys harvest each fall…now we will! Hopefully, the skills we learn will help fill in the needs as they arise as times get harder. (Sheri)
- I think we’ll be seeing high prices and scarce commodities (if only because fleets will be grounded for lack of fuel or too-high fuel costs) and an actual lack of petroleum-based products like gas, plastics, and rubber. So one thing we’re doing is stocking up on spare tires for our biodiesel vehicles and bicycles, tire patching kits, plastic bags, etc. – anything made from petroleum that we think we need during a major transition to a different lifestyle. Oh – and fabric, thread, needles (besides food & seed). (Mary)
- This is why I’m learning skills: gardening, animal husbandry, repair, crafting (practical things like knitting socks), cob building, and the like. I think if you already know how to do these things, it will be much easier to make the transition. (Herbwifemama)
- My mom lived in a NYC tenement during the depression, and it was pretty bad. She said the only time she got enough to eat was when they went to my great-aunt’s farm in the summer to work. Sickness was everywhere and you couldn’t afford medicines. My grandmother lost her hearing due to ear infections. All my mother’s teeth were cracked and broken due to poor nutrition and illness. (Vicki O.)
- My parents both lived through the depression before they married. My father, at times, nearly starved and worked at any job he could find. My mother’s family owned a farm and always had food. They didn’t have extra money and were very frugal, but they were able to eat well. I think preparations must include knowledge….how to grow food, both animal and vegetable. (Bernadine)
- Practical, hands-on knowledge is, by far, the best thing we can do for ourselves. What good is an emergency seed bank if we don’t have the proper soil for it and don’t know what to plant when? How do you can your produce and meat over a campfire? Do you know the medicinal properties of the common herbs we use for cooking? (I didn’t know that Thyme tea is excellent for upper respiratory problems–specifically the ears!) What about hunting without a gun? Butchering what you’ve managed to kill? Get past the squeamishness and learn how while there is time to make the necessary mistakes along that learning curve. (Patty)
- Has anyone thought of blacksmithing? Back in the day, every village had a blacksmith. I figure we’d need at least one skilled blacksmith for every few hundred people. (Chandra)
- Interestingly enough, I had a grandmother and mother who lived through the Great Depression with lots of info! My grandmother lived on a farm, worked hard, lived frugally, and wasted nothing ( even cooking water went back to water the gardens…and amazing gardens she had!). She reused paper towels and foil later on in life, composted, and never bought anything without purpose ( big lesson there!). She spoke of hard times but not starvation. My mother grew up in New York City and painted quite a different picture: standing in food lines for bread every week, no heat or electricity ( too expensive), cooking potato soup on a potbelly stove, clothing from the Salvation Army, quitting school at nine years old to work in a pencil factory for food for her family, getting Christmas presents from the local church ( one gift, a wooden cradle, her father promptly broke up and burned to keep his children warm…heartbreaking). While hard times are ahead, I think the standard of living is so different now that we have many ways to downgrade and still live very well. It goes back to living intentionally, shopping with purpose, and planning ahead. We do need to learn to provide for ourselves and learn long-lost skills should our modern conveniences ne’er return. We also must return to forming communities, getting to know our neighbors beyond a wave of hello at the mailbox as we hurry inside. (Doctorb)
- I used to have a class in a large city teaching people skills and urging them to make the move to the country. We had a very interesting large panel discussion on the depression. We invited people who had lived thru the depression and could relate stories of what they went thru. I’m glad we filmed it (quite amateur but a good record). It was fascinating! One consistent thing was that those who had lived in the country had gardens and lived like “kings and queens” compared to those who lived in the cities. They often said that as children, they didn’t know they had it bad. They ate well, played outdoors with siblings, cousins, etc. People in the cities often went hungry, stood in bread lines, and made meals out of the most meager ingredients. (Jan D.)

2023.03.28 20:24 rewildingearth Suggestions for rabbit/deer proof plants
Hi all! I'm looking for more plants which rabbits and deer seem to leave alone. I'm partly growing for nature so not fussed if birds grab the fruit. I'm based in UK. So far I can definitely grow:
Native wildflowers Euphorbia Daffodils Lavender Verbena Nepeta Geraniums Sedum Alchemilla Buddleia Rosemary Sage Oregano Marjoram Raspberry canes Gooseberries Blueberries Potatoes Garlic Courgette Squash Pumpkin Broad bean
Sometimes had success with thyme if kept closer to house, and runner beans were great one year but something got 'em the next.
Anyone got any to add to list? Also looking for a climber which I can train over a garden arch. Tried so far grapevine and honeysuckle...but may have to give up and put a metal cage around that one!
Am aware that what works for some doesn't work for others, there's a garden near me where the deer have started eating ivy, which I didn't know they did! Just want to try out some new plants I may not have thought of. Thanks in advance

2023.03.28 20:24 MrTenacious30 32[M4F] Just another day in a small NY town... Looking for someone I can get down with 🤷♂️
Yet another day of sitting here wondering if I could manage to find someone to enjoy some of my free time with. So, if you're in the same time zone or near the area of Binghamton NY then maybe we could find ourselves entertaining each other when we are both are able to get together.
I'm 5'9 with icy blue eyes, white-as-white chocolate complexion, and a fit/muscular build. We can exchange pics if you're comfortable, or you could just give me a little description of yourself so I can get an idea of who I'm talking to.
1.Mary Jane over Jack Daniels..Do you agree?
2.A night in, or a night out. Which do you prefer?
Those are some ideas for how to start the conversation. If any of this interests you, I think you know how to get ahold of me.

2023.03.28 20:23 Intransit-23 Grandma stored her 50’s patterns in old radio. Oddly one of my most treasured items.
| She grew up in the dust bowl and was a ww2 worker, mother and wife. She made wonderful dresses for her kids by trading flour and such for fabric. The radio stopped working and it became her storage for altered patterns. It was given to me. I nearly don’t want to touch it but would you clean them or just leave it be? I did look through them and matched some to black and white pictures of her kids in some of the patterns. submitted by Intransit-23 to vintagesewing [link] [comments] |
2023.03.28 20:23 SadScaredDesperate Overwhelmed And Don't Know Where to Begin.
Hello
resumes, I really need help finding my footing and getting started writing a resume.
I'm a 32y/o college dropout with no real skills or achievements and a wildly variable work history. I've been homeless or borderline homeless my entire life and have been working since the age of 12 in everything from fast food, retail, delivery driving, warehouse work, etc -- but never for more than 18 months at a time due to living conditions, family, and mental illness. In the past 20 years I've had probably 20 different jobs and now have been essentially unemployed since lockdown in 2020 leaving a huge gap in my work history.
I'm pretty burned out and near the end of my rope and need just a little point in the right direction. I've read the FAQs and everything in the side bar, I've looked at the templates and even searched up if there were similar posts but all that has done is make me feel even more overwhelmed. All of the templates have something like "Achievements, Projects, Skills" and I don't really have any of those. I have no idea where to begin with a professional summary that could fit into 2 or 3 sentences.
With such an all-over-the-place work history I can't say I've developed any skills and I certainly haven't achieved anything or worked on any projects. I'm entirely relegated to my phone and maybe an occasional computer at a library so manually tailoring a potential resume sifting through 20 past jobs to be relevant to any one I'm applying to just isn't an option.
Any advice on how to begin is monumentally appreciated.

2023.03.28 20:22 sergio_santos_one Event in Cambridge - How to stop overthinking to reduce stress and improve your wellbeing
If you want to learn how to stop overthinking, this event is for you.
In this session:
1. I am going to talk about why we overthink and what is the relationship between stress, anxiety and overthinking.
2. I will introduce you to what I consider the 3 best techniques to stop overthinking.
3. We will apply and practice one of these techniques so you can see how it affects your stress levels.
4. We will end the session with time for Q&A and sharing something you'd like about your experience.
This is one of a series of events whose goal is to give you a deeper understanding of stress and anxiety, and teach you practical tools to be used in daily life to manage and overcome them. Each session is unique, self-contained and it is composed by an introductory talk followed by practical exercises.
Moreover, I aim to provide a safe space where you can speak freely, share your thoughts, and ask any difficult questions that might be on your mind.
At end of each session, you will experience a reduction of stress levels and improved wellbeing, and you will also have a sense of what is the next step to take. Most importantly, you will have learned effective tools that you can use in real-life scenarios.
My approach is influenced by different fields, such as psychology, life coaching, eastern spirituality teachings, and trauma therapy. This means you will learn different methodologies so you can select and apply the ones that work better for you.
The inspiration for this initiative is my personal history with anxiety. When I came to Cambridge to do my PhD in 2015, I suffered terribly from anxiety. The consequences were that I couldn't sleep, I was unable to be in social gatherings, establish basic conversations, communicate appropriately with my supervisor, and many other things. My level of stress was so high that it was even a problem for me to ask "how are you?" or to go to a cafe and order a coffee.
Eventually, I reached such a low point that I realised I had to do something about it: I had to find a way to overcome anxiety. Therefore during the whole time of my PhD, I spent countless hours researching ways to manage anxiety and applying them in my real life. I also devoted my time to learning social skills, learning how to become confident, and how to turn stressful situations into empowering ones.
In this series of sessions, I teach the insights and tools that have proven to be the most effective in my personal life and in the lives of people I have been helping over the last 3 years as a Mentor and Life Coach.
Join me in the next session and bring a pen and paper with you. Please reserve your place on Eventbrite beforehand.
I am looking forward to meeting you.

2023.03.28 20:22 shuddupayouface Now that I have hit world tier 5/crafting bench 505, finding green/red items, etc etc what do I do with all this lower gear score loot?
(Divsion 2)
Do I just scrap/sell it? Can the gear score ever be raised? Are some weapon/gear talents exceedingly rare?
There is not nearly enough stash space in this game, and when I dismantle things sometimes it doesn't give me all the parts (submachine gun alloy always comes up as 00 upon dismantling)
So what do we do with all this yellow/under 500 gear score gear? Is it basicslly junk once you world tier 5/start finding over 500 gear score items? Will you basicslly find everything again at 500+ gear score or is some stuff so rare its worth holding onto for talent/set value alone?
What do you guys do with all this loot? And why do some parts come up as "00" upon dismantling?

Has anyone got any great ways of implementing immoral phoenix gearfreid I to the deck. I see a lot of crossover in having Isolde, equip cards like living fossil and phoenix blade. Plus it would be great to have a negate on the field which BLS really struggle with protection wise.
And since divine phoenix blade gives me a reoccurring opportunity to banish it will help the BLS motif I feel if it's constantly discarded by IPG

2023.03.28 20:22 JohnnyOzan Fairy Tale Story of Batman and Rabbit Saving Gotham City
Once upon a time in the enchanted city of Gotham, a mysterious, caped figure protected the innocent and fought against the forces of evil. This legendary figure was none other than Batman, the Dark Knight.
One beautiful, moonlit evening, Batman was patrolling the city, keeping an ever-vigilant eye out for crime. As he leaped from rooftop to rooftop, a glimmer of white caught his attention in a nearby park. Intrigued, Batman decided to investigate.
As he approached the park, he found a small, white rabbit sitting peacefully under a tree. The rabbit, seemingly unafraid of the costumed figure, stared intently at Batman as he drew near. Batman could tell there was something unusual about this rabbit; its eyes were remarkably intelligent, and it seemed to radiate an aura of calmness.
"Hello, little rabbit," Batman said softly. "What brings you to the city on a night like this?"
To his astonishment, the rabbit replied, "Greetings, Batman. My name is Whiskers, and I've been searching for you. I have a special power that allows me to communicate with humans, and I believe our paths have crossed for a reason."
Batman raised an eyebrow, curious about this extraordinary rabbit. "And what reason might that be?" he asked.
Whiskers twitched his nose and replied, "I am here to assist you, Batman. Together, we can make Gotham a safer place and bring hope to those who have lost it."
Batman considered the rabbit's proposal. Though he was used to working alone, he couldn't deny the unique abilities that Whiskers possessed. After a moment of contemplation, he agreed, and the two formed a powerful partnership.
Over time, Batman and Whiskers worked together to fight crime in Gotham. Whiskers' small size allowed him to access places Batman couldn't, and his keen senses helped them uncover hidden threats. The citizens of Gotham began to speak of the Dark Knight and his rabbit companion in hushed whispers, their awe and admiration growing with each passing day.
Batman found that working with Whiskers not only improved his crime-fighting abilities but also brought him a sense of companionship he had never experienced before. The two spent countless hours together, sharing stories and laughter in their moments of respite.
As the years passed, Batman and Whiskers continued their crusade against injustice. Though their methods were unconventional, their partnership proved invaluable to the people of Gotham. The Dark Knight and the Wise Rabbit became symbols of hope, showing the world that no matter how different two beings might be, they could work together to create a brighter future. And so, they remained the most unusual and inseparable duo, defending Gotham from the shadows and inspiring others to find the courage within themselves.

2023.03.28 20:21 pineapplepizza612 My boyfriend (22M) and I (22F) had the biggest arguments of our lives. We are still together, but since then he has been acting different and less affectionate.
My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months. We recently had a huge argument that led both of us to lose trust in each other. Long story short about our argument, he made me block a platonic friend I met before him and I've been keeping in touch just to check in to see how he's doing but doing it secretively. My mistake was also telling some people about our problems which I understand should've been kept private. Once he found this out, he blew up and started calling me nasty things. He tells me I shouldn't be talking to any other guy and has gone through my phone to block people. I had never been interested in his phone until he started going through mine and would get sensitive every time I came near, so naturally, I become curious. I saw that he was doing things he told me that I shouldn't be doing (talking to other girls, deleting msgs, omitting details, liking gym ass pics of other girls - I mention this because why is he getting mad at me if he's doing all of this?)
Ever since that argument, things haven't been the same. I feel him getting more distant and unable to show emotion. Every time I express an issue we're having or the ways I'm feeling, he tells me I'm trying to pick at arguments. I try to ask for reassurance and he'll get angry saying if I keep acting like this he will break up with me. Since our relationship, I haven't been able to do normal daily things without asking for permission. I put a lot of effort into this relationship and sacrificed a lot, but find it hard to leave. Why hasn't he broken up with me? Is he forcing himself to stay? Why?
TLDR: My boyfriend and I got into a huge fight and he was willing to break up with me over almost the same things he was doing if not worse. I don't know if he's forcing himself to stay with me but it feels like he doesn't love me anymore. Why hasn't he broken up with me? Should I just leave?

2023.03.28 20:21 HotMockolate [M4M] Supernatural Found Family Plots
Howdy! I'm Lanya, 22 years old, and I've been RPing for nearly 9 years. I'm a literate roleplayer, averaging between 1-5 paragraphs per post, though typically to the longer side. Length varies depending on how busy the scene is!
Today I'm looking for a roleplay in which we would each play multiple characters to form a ragtag group of supernatural beings who all live together, in a world where supernatural beings (vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, angels, whatever you like) live in secret amongst the human race.
I've put MxM in the search as I'd like for the story to centre mainly around a MxM romance, however I still want us to each play a few characters to form the found family, and I'm open to other romances occurring for the other characters (MxM, FxM, or FxF!). I'd like the plot to be a bit of slice of life and romance, with arcs that would contain a lot of action too! I love angst and fluff to balance each other out!
I get really into my OCs and my partners OCs, so I'm hoping we can create a lovely little gang together that we'll both come to adore!
I have a couple of plot ideas we can go with, and I'm open to you bringing some ideas to the table too, if you like!
Plot 1: A human is kidnapped in the dead of night, knocked out and brought to a strange place. They wake up in a bedroom, in a surprisingly comfortable bed, only to find that an argument is brewing between an odd gaggle of people in the room with him:
"Oh my God, dude, you can't just kidnap random people to drink their blood! We have blood pouches for a reason!"
"But it's not fresh, I just wanted some-"
"No, not happening. You have to get rid of — oh shit... he's awake."
One thing leads to another, and the human ends up staying with the strange group.
Plot 2: Hell vs Heaven. There's been an ongoing war between angels and demons for centuries. Character A is a demon and Character B is a fallen angel who is seeking to switch sides in the war. When Character A is on Earth, in human disguise and on the hunt, Character B confronts him out in the open and demands to be taken back to Hell with him to join their ranks.
Thanks for reading! I RP on Reddit and discord, so feel free to shoot me a message, I'd love to hear back! Please tell me which plot you're interested in and a bit about yourself!

2023.03.28 20:21 NS-RN Opinions about e-collars
My nearly 1 year old girl, Rita, is 98% of the time, a great dog. However, on occasion, off leash, she’ll just ignore EVERYTHING when she gets on the scent of something. Today she jumped into a pond to meet some ducks… I know part of this is her being a “teenager”, but treats/clicker, whistling, nothing would break her attention. This is the first time she straight up ignored me, usually she at least stops, & takes her sweet time coming back - when she’s being bratty (obviously not every time or she wouldn’t be off leash period).
I’ve seen great success stories with the vibrate version, using it to break their focus on whatever has their attention. I think this would be a good option for her, once I get her to focus on me, she always comes back.
TL;DR- opinion on vibrate/e-collars for help training a 1 year old for off leash adventures.

2023.03.28 20:20 doctortuning Medical Doctor just moved to WCUSA
| Hi all, I just got finished moving to WCUSA! I'm from a small town called Buckyville where I practiced medicine for 9 years. I was unfortunately in a motor vehicle accident that was no one's fault but my own - I fell asleep at the wheel. I unfortunately broke both my legs and am currently wheelchair ridden, but going through PT to learn to walk again. This is what inspired my move to WCUSA; it is much closer to the PT, and I just needed a fresh start to get back on my feet again (literally). Over the past year, I built a house close to a service station & garage, so I've been chatting it up with the boys at the shop for a future build when I can drag race again. For now, my darling wife brings me around in our 2000 Ibishu Kashira. It's really not my usual choice of car, but it was my first car, so its near and dear to me, and its easy for me to get in and out and stow the wheelchair. It's the LX model, AWD 2.4L turbo, and is by no means fast. I may, or may not make it a little "cooler", but it works for now. Here it is after it got repainted in its factory color (also my recently built house): https://preview.redd.it/lhq2nvmxuiqa1.png?width=4968&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e877e2c432370f512d687785c7cdde5590b10d3 I got a great deal on the lot I'm on, so in the future I may build a shop in the back. My closest neighbor is the shop down the road, so any noise I produce shouldn't be an issue. I'm also looking for a lot to build up my office, let me know any property listings! ( this is my first post so let me know how it can be improved ) submitted by doctortuning to BeamNGRP [link] [comments] |
2023.03.28 20:20 uiurd93 How do you imagine the perfect football game would be?
For me, pes2021 got pretty near perfection, just needed more care to master league and some adjustments to gameplay, also, I really want a football game with multiple seasons to play with it, imagine if you had a switch wich you can choose between seasons from 2000 up to now, with faces, kits and everything licensed.

2023.03.28 20:20 HotMockolate [M4M] Supernatural Found Family Ideas (Romance, Action, Slice of Life, Fantasy)

2023.03.28 20:19 caseymdel Unhappiness with Clinical
Hey guys. I am currently nearing the end of my 1st year of a 3 year RN program (based in Quebec).
I am just writing to ask how you guys dealt with unhappiness regarding clinical? This in my second semester at a Rehabilitation facility. Most pts are just so depressed and deconditioned. Every single week since first semester I spend the day before clinical just sobbing. I love nursing and I love the academics, it's just this placement killing me. It is just not up my alley at all. I know that starting next fall I will get to be somewhere I think I will thrive (peds/ob) but I just don't know how I am going to get through 5 more 8 hour days of this. My instructor is an incredible nurse and she understands not everyone is enjoying this and she tries to match us with patients who make the day easier but it's still just not sunshine and roses for me. If you have ever had a clinical placement that has caused you so much dread, what did you do to cope with it?

2023.03.28 20:18 Parasitic_Tampon Do people still shame non-meta builds?
I’ve noticed that in Warframe there’s typically a “meta” build that often relies on shield gating frames and slash weapons. People like myself love to push things to the limit, but with my own approach. For example: For my Inaros P I run Warcry, all Umbra mods, and some armoHP, sitting at 750+ armor and 9500+ HP, 177% ability strength. I use a Dual Keres Prime on him with healing return, toxic stat, and both umbra mods (no fury, but with your usual other necessary multiplier based mods). Ferrox for aoe viral/rad procs (rad not being important) to support my Keres. Not really groundbreaking in terms of different, but it’s nearly impossible for me to die in SP with this unless if I’m careless.
I’m almost scared to post my different builds because I know it will receive harsh criticism, but I’ve learned that builds for thee don’t always work for me. I frequently try unorthodox build approaches on SP missions and shoot for three hours on survival to torture test my builds before settling on them, and so far I’ve been able to make quite a few things work specifically for my play style. Wisp being my latest immortal frame build and people in IG chat started harassing me for it, even though they were dead and I was not.
I’d really like to post some of them with details on how some of my builds are played, but part of me thinks it’ll just be bashing and insulting because “that’s not meta”, followed by me feeling like an idiot for trying to show people different usable builds.

2023.03.28 20:18 ignorantwanderer What is under my house?
I'm curious if anyone can tell me what is under my house. If I dig down 2 km, what will I find?
I live in Ottawa, Canada.
I know that if I dig down I get about 2 meters of soil and then I hit rock. The rock is sedimentary, and where it is exposed about 1 km from here there are
stromatolite fossils that are around 500 million years old.
I know these sedimentary layers go down at least 4 meters by looking at excavations at various construction sites in the area.
I know where I live is very flat, and there used to be some sort of sea here. But I also know that close to here (Gatineau) about 2 km away the landscape is very hilly and the rocks look very different (I assume they are Canadian Shield).
This is the full extent of my knowledge.
What happens if I dig a 2 km deep hole? What will I find? I've been to the Grand Canyon, so I know it is possible for layers to go down very deep. Will there be 2 km of sedimentary layers if I dig down? Or will I go down 10 meters and reach the bottom of the sedimentary layers and hit the type of rock that can be found on the surface in Gatineau.
Is the Canadian Shield older than 500 million years? Was it here before the sea, and then the sea came and sediment covered lower parts of the Canadian Shield?
Anyone know specifically what is under Ottawa (and to be more precise, Westboro)? Anyone know what keywords I can google to find out? Is there some Canadian Government site that shows maps of the geology for all of Canada (or at least right here) that tells what is below the surface?
Thanks for any help!

RUTHERFORD, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / March 27, 2023 / Cann American Corp. (OTC PINK:CNNA), the "Company", a holding company building a diverse portfolio of intellectual properties, is pleased to announce a shareholder update for 2023.
On March 1, 2023, the Company completed the acquisition of Prodigy Stem Cell. With this acquisition the Company intends to expand its overall direction as a holding company engaged in alternative therapeutics ranging from CBD to regenerative medicines.
The Company will be, in the near term, focused primarily on expanding the Prodigy brand and vision originally launched under Prodigy's founder and recently appointed CNNA director, Pete Caruso.
Based on publicly available research reports, the global stem cell market is currently valued at approximately $12 billion with projections to reach approximately $30 billion by 2030. Secondly, Prodigy intends to rapidly expand into several of its own Prodigy branded wellness centers at strategic locations throughout the US. The Company is currently planning to launch a new facility in Florida, in addition to its flagship New Jersey office, within the coming weeks. 2023.03.28 20:18 eeknee_meknee_myknee Husband has given up and I know nothing about lawn care, but I’d love any advice on making our sandy, barren yard greener.
| We live in a 5a zone. Grass will not grow well, and never really has since the home was built 30 years ago. We don’t want a beautiful lush yard at this point, just something so our kids aren’t running on hot sand all summer. We get ample rain, and it’s very humid in general here. Requirements would be: - Must be able to withstand direct sun. Backyard has very little shade and is on the East side of the house.
- Must be able to handle high traffic. We have children and dogs that run all over
- Must be able to handle very sandy soil. We live near a riverbed and our entire 3/4 acre is sand galore and full of insufferable burrs
- Medium maintenance is fine, but preferably inexpensive. We can’t afford to sod the entire backyard.
I might need a different plan of action for the front yard (first pic). It is slightly less sandy, and well-shaded. Downside to the shading, is the trees cause water to pool in rain, drowning seed/sod. The front yard is not high traffic, but needs to not drown or wash away, and still handle shaded, sandy soil. It’s not quite as barren as the backyard, more patchy. I am moving off the leaves today (when I say my husband gave up, he legitimately just threw in the towel last fall so most leaves are still there). He’s been trying to get grass to grow for 5 years now. I know nothing of lawn care, and honestly have a black thumb, but I’m so tired of living in a complete sandbox. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated; I’m desperate here. Please be kind though, I’m aware my yard is shit lol submitted by eeknee_meknee_myknee to lawncare [link] [comments] |
2023.03.28 20:17 Dewsquad I have unlinked and deleted OneDrive, but tons of my files are still connected to a OneDrive folder and I cannot remove them
| I have had a few very frustrating experiences with OneDrive since I got my computer a couple of years ago. I had loaded a bunch of graphics onto my Football Manager game and my computer insisted on saving all of them to my OneDrive, despite me furiously attempting to tell it not to sync those files. What ended up happening is that OneDrive would pop up every couple of minutes warning me that my computer was unable to sync the nearly 200,000 individual team logos that I desperately didn't want synced. After many attempts and many emails with Windows support I gave up and unlinked my computer completely from OneDrive and deleted it off my computer. I later recieved an email saying that because I was not using my OneDrive anymore, all files saved on OneDrive were deleted. This deleted a bunch of stuff; my CV, my school papers, etc. This sucked, obviously, but the syncing error stopped so I chalked it up as a Pyrrhic victory and moved on. A long time later, I noticed that the pinned folders like "Documents" and "Desktop" that I have been using for two years is actually OneDrive, and isnt in my C drive. Now I am completely technically unsavy and I have absolutely no idea how to solve this. But it seems to me this is a bit of an issue given that I do not have OneDrive on my computer anymore. showing that OneDrive seems to be separate from my C drive what I have been using on file explorer for all my documents, assuming it was linked to my regular drive, and not OneDrive what it says on top when I click on my pinned documents folder Could somebody give me some advice on this? Thanks a ton in advance, if it isn't already obvious: I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. submitted by Dewsquad to WindowsHelp [link] [comments] |
