A Prayer in Hell: X-Raided’s highly-anticipated Strange Music debut is an incredible, haunting masterpiece

X-Raided has been an underground king for over 30 years, releasing classics like Psycho Active, Xorcist, Unforgiven Vol 1, and Nefarious, the majority of which were recorded during his well-documented incarceration. After nearly a quarter of a century behind bars, X’s prayer was finally granted and he was released early on parole in 2018 and went straight to work, dropping There is a Storm (2018) and California Dreamin’ (2020). In May of 2022 it was announced X had signed to Strange Music, the home of legendary rapper Tech N9ne, setting fan anticipation and expectations at all-time highs.
From the moment the ominous lines of the intro begins, X grabs you and pulls you into the surreal, hellish landscape that serves as the setting for the album. “A Prayer in Hell” is a dark, fantastical refrain that showcases X’s incredible lyricism and unrelenting delivery as he describes his nefarious origin story. “He only behaves when ensnared in his cell, beware the evil he’s prepared to unveil, if he’s ever released from the place where he’s held, no escape, there’s not even a prayer in hell”.
On “Return of the Living Dead”, X likens himself to a “demonic angel” and tells how he lost himself and ultimately “became a dragonslayer in hell”. Next, X writes some “Life Sentences”, an introspective track that paints a despairing portrait of prison and street life over an atmospheric beat “Hard to change from demon to angel, when you spent the majority of your life learnin’ to scheme and finagle, when its glorified”. On “To Whom it May Concern”, X tells of the self-destructive and suicidal feelings that torment him as a result of his life of sin.
Here the album switches gears and begins a string of features with some legendary rappers. X stole the show with his feature on “Still Right Here” from Tech N9ne’s album, so Neena arrives to return the favor on the pulsating single “Stratus Fear”. Here the two rappers have some fun exchanging a string of tongue-twisting and mind-bending verses. Next, Ras Kass and X take on “Any Challenger”, a boastful, energetic banger. ”James Taylor, Carole King” is the mantra on the infectious “Legendary”, where X is joined by labelmate King Iso who delivers another signature highlight verse. Playboi Prada and Bleezy add some mayhem on “Knoccin’”, a street anthem with a beat that could have been produced by Michael Myers himself.
The second half of the album starts with “No1 is Safe”, another slammin’ single that X obliterates with his implaccable flow. The beat for “Celebration” is so laid back it could feel right at home on a Wiz Khalifa or Berner album. A-Wax adds a nice verse and hook to this smooth track. X-Raided takes it back to the 70’s with “Blaxploitation” a funky track where X puts himself in the starring role as a Shaft-like character.
“Villains in the Streets” is another standout anthem with a strong feature from Yowda. The album reaches its zenith with “Parasitic”, where X describes the dangers of gang mentality over an absolute banger of a beat. "I got you participating in genocide and you did it with pride.”
“That was then, this is now” the rapper declares as we transition to “The Bridge”, an old-school summer-time jam that has X reflecting over his childhood days. Joey Cool delivers an inspired guest verse. On “Ka-el” X dons the red cape and describes how he discovered his own powers: “It wasnt until I came down to earth that I realized, I was gifted, everything changed, my perspective shifted.”

Hello everyone.
I've recently been sent for a referral to the NHS for inattentive ADHD at the age of 39, gp said its at least a year from diagnosis.
I've not done too bad out of life considering I've only ever stuck at 2 jobs (community care and telecare installer for elderly/vulnerable) but recently I started a desk job based on my experience in telecare.
I'm really struggling to prioritise tasks, multi tasking is a no go and no matter how positively I approach the day, an hour or 2 in my head goes completely and its procrastination central.
Anyway, a family member joked that she told my parents 15 years ago I should go for tests, this was never followed up or mentioned to me.
Does anyone feel like they've gone through their entire life feeling inadequate/lazy because they can't "do" what peers are doing - steady job, climbing the ladder, focus on career etc?
I have felt pretty much all my adult life that I'm not "normal" and have rage quit many jobs. Went to uni, zoned out of lectures, quit.
Joined the police, got too stressed, quit.
Its looking like I'm not going to make it past my probation in this role even though my manager has been understanding.
I'm wondering what job I might try next. I was considering window cleaning or anything really were I can be out and about, meeting people ideally (not sales).
Even though I'm not diagnosed, I do feel a weight has been lifted as to why I am the way I am. My wife agrees my mood has improved too since looking into it.

Darcy had been set for talks with the Dockers and his management about a long-term extension on the contract that makes him a free agent at the end of 2024.
Those talks across Fremantle’s round 12 bye have been pushed back a couple of weeks as he gets some rest and relaxation before a big second half of the season.
As clubs across the competition try to work through how to establish an elite ruck department, the Dockers will lock away Darcy for the long-term.
For all the pre-season talk of Jackson stifling Darcy’s influence, the opposite has occurred.
As the Dockers attempted to give Lloyd Meek game time last year, Darcy averaged 64 ruck contests a game playing 87 per cent ruck and 13 per cent forward.
This season in rounds 1-10, alongside Jackson, he averaged 73 ruck contests and a 90-10 ruck forward split.
Jackson might thrive as the No.1 ruckman at times, but he was well aware when he came to Fremantle as a 21-year-old that playing alongside Darcy was the perfect way to extend his career.
And it would give Fremantle the best chance of success as he mixed rucking with a hybrid midfield role and the forward responsibility that has seen him kick six goals in the Dockers’ four-win streak (and 13.10 for the season).
So the Darcy-to-Geelong narrative won’t happen for the former Cobden man mountain as rivals look elsewhere.
Tom De Koning would have to sacrifice ruck opportunities and money to stay at Carlton, which seems increasingly unlikely.

I was very impressed with this Netflix produced TV show about Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster after being struck by tsunami, didn't know until now how serious was the situation since at that time I was more worried about tsunami (was in SEA in previously struck tsunami area in bamboo shack ~100m from water with nothing in between).
It has 8 episodes, until the very end it's pretty much no non-sense show with no flashbacks, no family/relationship nonsense (only subplot which gets only few minutes is family of one young worker), just straight up to the point, very addictive and thrilling, I watched first 5 episodes in one go and would go further if it wasn't night.
There is basically only one filler episode (7th, second last) and they ruined the ratings with the last episode, which would not be any different if it was written by Japanese gov/power company defense lawyer and it's completely out of place with monologues (skip them if you can), which should be completely cut and just left text in end credits.
Score is amazing on par with Chernobyl, wooden acting is meh, which can be caused in general by Japanese culture, so while it may be realistic, it's difficult to understand for westerner lack of shown emotions.
If the show was supposed to show heroism it showed me the opposite, the sheer incompetence of NPP personell and the Japanese gov and it's mind blowing something like this could happen 30 years after Chernobyl. It has 8 episodes, until the very end it's pretty much no non-sense show with no flashbacks, no family/relationship nonsense (only subplot which gets only few minutes is family of one young worker), just straight up to the point, very addictive and thrilling, I watched first 5 episodes in one go and would go further if it wasn't night.
There is basically only one filler episode (7th, second last) and they ruined the ratings with the last episode, which would not be any different if it was written by Japanese gov/power company defense lawyer and it's completely out of place with monologues (skip them if you can), which should be completely cut and just left text in end credits.
Score is amazing on par with Chernobyl, wooden acting is meh, which can be caused in general by Japanese culture, so while it may be realistic, it's difficult to understand for westerner lack of shown emotions.

And where there is need and there is money– then there is corruption, the MIDIMAR officials act under an unspoken policy of don’t look too closely as M23 recruitment sites, unofficially condoned, use this and other refugee camps to bolster the fight in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. With funds provided by Rwanda siphoned through refugee assistance programmes using small business fronts receiving government assistance for the poor and the destitute the M23 provide a method to support their families and to regain their lost power.
For Rwanda’s part the education system in the camps includes deep dives into the history of their new country focusing on the genocide that was so fundamental in the country and those responsible especially the FDLR rebel group and the nations who have assisted and supported them.
But growing their number raises another question, how to equip them without raising Rwandan complicitness and bringing down the international hammer wielded so liberally by the developed world?

An arrested Hutu supporter will former ties to FDLR will have been convinced to make the claim to be a member of the rebel group captured during the raid– in return for soft treatment and various perks, this will tie the attack and the deaths therein to FDLR forces following which the government will accuse the recent escalations of behavior by the DRC in the Kivu region for reenergizing the FDLR leading to interior strikes into Rwanda and the persecution of unprotected minorities across the border.
‘Evidence’ will be found linking Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza leader of the unofficial opposition party the the DALFA-Umurinzi with local Hutu extremists tied to FDLR activity– she and a handful of supporters will be arrested as violent terrorists and face the court systems.
Result
On June 16th a rebel group attacked the Kinogo Border Post in Rwanda killing five RDF soldiers and obtaining a large surplus of small arms and ammunition. The RDF managed to capture one of the rebels claiming to be a member of the FDLR a Rwandan rebel group operating out of the DRC looking to restore Hutu Supremacy after escaping the country following the Rwandan genocide.
Rwanda strongly condemns the actions of these rebels for violating their safety and security but admits that the problem is not purely the work of their neighbors and turns inward investigating links between the FDLR and prominent opposition leader Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza who had formerly been arrested in Rwanda for genocide denial and inciting violence and was serving her 15 year sentence outside of the prison after the first 8 years were spent mostly in solitary confinement.

I remember almost the whole plot. I saw this movie about 15 years ago. It's almost post apocalyptic. There is a stand still ship/floating city in the sky where everybody lives because the earth got infested by some disease that turns you into a monster(not zombies, more like horror creatures). But there were 13 children that had markings on their body that counted to 13(meaning there was one child per number). That had meant something to do with the disease, and they would send those children down to earth( probably to find a solution of some kind). I know the main character had the number 13(which was supposed to be rare) and that his father hid him in that floating city but got caught and the father was killed.
That's a loott of information. But i hope someone will have an idea. I watched it in the early early 2000s.

X-Raided has been an underground king for over 30 years, releasing classics like Psycho Active, Xorcist, Unforgiven Vol 1, and Nefarious, the majority of which were recorded during his well-documented incarceration. After nearly a quarter of a century behind bars, X’s prayer was finally granted and he was released early on parole in 2018 and went straight to work, dropping There is a Storm (2018) and California Dreamin’ (2020). In May of 2022 it was announced X had signed to Strange Music, the home of legendary rapper Tech N9ne, setting fan anticipation and expectations at all-time highs.
From the moment the ominous lines of the intro begins, X grabs you and pulls you into the surreal, hellish landscape that serves as the setting for the album. “A Prayer in Hell” is a dark, fantastical refrain that showcases X’s incredible lyricism and unrelenting delivery as he describes his nefarious origin story. “He only behaves when ensnared in his cell, beware the evil he’s prepared to unveil, if he’s ever released from the place where he’s held, no escape, there’s not even a prayer in hell”.
On “Return of the Living Dead”, X likens himself to a “demonic angel” and tells how he lost himself and ultimately “became a dragonslayer in hell”. Next, X writes some “Life Sentences”, an introspective track that paints a despairing portrait of prison and street life over an atmospheric beat “Hard to change from demon to angel, when you spent the majority of your life learnin’ to scheme and finagle, when its glorified”. On “To Whom it May Concern”, X tells of the self-destructive and suicidal feelings that torment him as a result of his life of sin.
Here the album switches gears and begins a string of features with some legendary rappers. X stole the show with his feature on “Still Right Here” from Tech N9ne’s album, so Neena arrives to return the favor on the pulsating single “Stratus Fear”. Here the two rappers have some fun exchanging a string of tongue-twisting and mind-bending verses. Next, Ras Kass and X take on “Any Challenger”, a boastful, energetic banger. ”James Taylor, Carole King” is the mantra on the infectious “Legendary”, where X is joined by labelmate King Iso who delivers another signature highlight verse. Playboi Prada and Bleezy add some mayhem on “Knoccin’”, a street anthem with a beat that could have been produced by Michael Myers himself.
The second half of the album starts with “No1 is Safe”, another slammin’ single that X obliterates with his implaccable flow. The beat for “Celebration” is so laid back it could feel right at home on a Wiz Khalifa or Berner album. A-Wax adds a nice verse and hook to this smooth track. X-Raided takes it back to the 70’s with “Blaxploitation” a funky track where X puts himself in the starring role as a Shaft-like character.
“Villains in the Streets” is another standout anthem with a strong feature from Yowda. The album reaches its zenith with “Parasitic”, where X describes the dangers of gang mentality over an absolute banger of a beat. "I got you participating in genocide and you did it with pride.”

So, I watch a lot of Youtube videos about Dying Light 2 and more specifically videos talking about the differences between Dying Light 1 & 2. While watching these videos, one common complaint I keep seeing is that the nights in DL1 are way darker than DL2 and therefore, way scarier.
While it is a criticism I do agree with, the nights being pretty bright in DL2 is a very realistic detail that a lot of people forget about in their arguments. Because the game takes place 15 years after the virus escaped into the world, major cities and towns have been almost completly wiped out save for a few exeptions like Villador, which means very little light is being emitted into the night sky from big cities and skyscrapers, therefore less light pollution which means clearer skies, therefore the stars, Moon, and the galaxy itself will cast more light onto the surface of Earth, meaning the nights will be brighter.
Also, it would make sense that a Pilgrim, like Aiden, would have their eyesight more attuned to the dark to be able to detect danger in a dark zone or at night if they couldn't find a safe place to bunker down in time. Especially after 15 years of hiding/running from and fighting the infected. So Aiden will be able to see clearer in the night than any normal survivor.
Meanwhile, DL1 takes place in 2016 and only Harran and it's countryside are affected by the virus, which means the rest of the world is still fine, atleast until 2023. So. the light pollution would still be there meaning less light reaching the surface, ergo darker nights.
Again, a valid criticism about the nighttime that I do agree with, but at the same time it shows that Techland put a lot of thought into what the world, and nighttime, would look like years after the fall of humanity and shows that they really care about small details like that.
I just wanted to get my thoughts on this out into the world so please leave your thoughts on the nights in DL2 and/or this rant in the comments, I would love to hear what you guys think about either or.

Hi all,
I got a bit bored of playing on my main account, so I thought I’d see what it would be like to climb to legend without bonus stars. Well, it’s actually surprisingly hard - mainly in that even if you win A LOT, it still takes considerable time.
I thought it would be interesting to share some of my findings, maybe those of you who are still climbing or struggle with it can make use of it. Note that this is not a deck guide as I’ve used decks that are prevalent. Also note that this was not a completely fresh account (but simply one not played on for a long time) so I didn’t go through the apprentice ranks and such, and had dust to spend on good decks.
First some overal stats:
Having climbed with a a 10 or 11-star bonus for a long time, I’m probably playing in quite a bubble. I was surprised by the diversity of the meta (see decktracker image). I’ve seen all classes, though druid and shaman only for 6 games both (3%). Deathknight was the outlier on the top end, though only with 17%, followed by Paladin (14%).The big difference between 11-star / high legend meta and this climb for me was the unrefined nature of a lot of decks. Cards included in decks probably because people think they’re fun (ETC rock duel), because they don’t know better (playing old, outdated lists) or dust issues maybe. I don’t know, but it made a lot of games fairly easy. From diamond 5 onwards I ran into the usual meta stuff, but saw considerably more hunter for some reason.
I thought Demon Hunter was a lot more popular, but I only ran into 7 of them (just 1 more than the 2 dead classes druid and shaman). So maybe relic DH is more popular in legend (even when it's not the best deck) than it is in general.
Decks and play style:
Outcast DH is a deck that I like and am comfortable with. I played the list from a recent reddit post. It might not be optimal but I’m not great at making meaningful tweaks to decks. I simply shredded through a lot of bronze, silver and gold with it. At some point had a 15 game win streak.Outcast DH is a deck with at least some game against a wide field, but you don’t like seeing control priest or blood DK. Since those weren’t prevalent at lower ranks (and those that were either had bad decks or didn’t know what my gameplan was), it was quite a good choice for fast wins. At this point the key thing was chaining win streaks for the bonus stars from 3 wins in a row, since that cuts down the time it takes considerably.

I ran into a bit more refined decks at plat and decided to switch to the current meta tyrant pure paladin. Reasoning was that at that point people played better against outcast, had a few losses too many and wanted to try if it was the deck or simply the meta. Used this list (LINK).The popular pure pala build is really strong overall, has decently fast games which is good. The only thing I really dislike (but that’s been a paladin / midrange deck issue for so long) is the difference between going first and second. I had a 83% win rate without coin, and 63% win rate with coin. That’s a pretty major difference. Maybe I’m not adapting my mulligan well enough with coin? I don’t know.

But I ran into a lot of hunters and that felt like a rough matchup, while being an almost free matchup for paladin (went 9-0 vs hunters), so I just switched back.

Random observations:
Mulligan: One of the bigger things that you hear a lot is ‘good streamer always has the card / curve!’. And that’s probably because of the same reason that people struggle to climb: mulligan. It’s SO important to mulligan for your best cards instead of simply keeping your decent cards. Look at HSreplay for stats on cards and use that to your advantage. Example: The Curator in pure paladin has the highest mulligan win rate of all cards. But is only kept 50% of the time. That’s bonkers. Meanwhile Grimestreet outfitter and seafloor saviour (though they’re not in the current best list they’re still played a lot) are kept 76 and 75% of the time, even though they are cards with a terrible mulligan win rate. So how come streamer has curator a lot on 5 and you don’t? Because they keep it when they see it, and mulligan sub-par cards away in the mulligan so they have a higher chance of getting the card that wins them matches. So don’t think ‘1 mana, 2 mana and 3 mana cards, great!’. Think about the best cards for the matchup you’re facing, and find them.
Tilt / stress: Because this was not my main account and I just wanted to try something else, I noticed I played really relaxed. Nothing was riding on a game, so even though I played A LOT in a short time, I didn’t really experience stress, anxiety or tilt at all. Losses were just that, I checked myself and moved on. For some reason that changed when I get to diamond 2, because I was ‘so close’ and really wanted to get there with the same win rate that I had maintained over the climb (was up to >80% at that point still). That led to me being frustrated of matchups and losses where I wasn’t before. I had quite some back and forward still, and 11 out of the 44 losses occurred around ranks 3-1 diamond.
Deck selection: Play whatever you think is fun. But if you want to win more, at least see if you can use the available resources to find the good versions of your lists.

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a car which will start off as a track day car, but which will be competitive in-class if I decide to start SCCA/NASA road racing.
More details below, but the basic question is: aside from Miatas, what cars are currently winning in classes with at least 10-20 cars racing per race in the norcal region?
As background, I have a lot of street-car track experience, along with probably 15 years of top-20 lemons racing. I sold my track-day E46 M3 a while back, thinking that the lemons racing and the occasional miata track rental would cover my track bug, but our lemons team only races maybe once a year nowadays, and I find that I'm too lazy to figure out which track days have rentals available :-(
So now I'm thinking about getting a new or used car to drive as a 90% track car (initially street-legal so I can drive to the track) which will be competitive if I decide to move into SCCA/NASA road racing in a couple of years.
I prefer stick shift and rear-wheel drive. I'm not the best momentum driver, so I would prefer a non-miata (something with enough power to make up for my cornering mistakes). Back in the day, I would have just purchased an E36 or E46, but they are getting old at this point, and I don't want to deal with a 20 year old platform.
Budget is less than $50k, Less expensive is better, but the main goal is the best / most fun driving experience at track days (and a competitive car in it's class if racing) but with a reliable and trouble-free platform. Don't care overly much about consumables tires/brakes/maintenance.
I might consider a full race car (formula ford or the like), but I've never done anything like that so it would be new for me, and I'm not sure where to start. I do have all of the appropriate safety gear and a trailer if this is truly the right answer.
