Hello, I turned on my computer, and when I opened the file explorer I noticed that the "This Computer" folder did not appear, but it now appeared inside the "Desktop" folder, with the "Desktop" folder taking its original place. This is very uncomfortable for me. I've been looking around and I can't find any solution. Does anyone know how to fix it? I put a screenshot below to show it better. I have Windows 10 22H2, by the way.

2023.06.09 15:36 bippitybam Self soothing behaviors = stimming!? A slightly hilarious realization
I thought these were different things (just that self soothing was poorly defined while stimming had a more clear definition in my head), but during my diagnostic interview this week, she basically explained that repetitive self soothing behavior is essentially stimming.
My dumb ass was sitting there like “what do you mean self soothing behavior?” And couldn’t think of anything for a solid minute as I turned side to side in my chair and played with the clip in my hands the entire time 🤦♀️
Then she explained and the flood gates opened. But still. I almost came up with nothing because phraseology was off from my understanding. I never thought oh stimming as “self soothing “ so much as “ah this helps me get the wiggles out when the environment is causing wiggles” which, okay, maybe its the same thing? But holy crap I didn’t pick up on that. And I’m genuinely not dumb, but damn.

2023.06.09 15:35 Lanky-Ad-266 AITA for Starting a Pizza Shop, Hiring My Neighbor's Teenage Son, and Refusing to Meet His Mom's Wage Demands?
Hello Reddit! I have a situation to share with you all and I'd love some perspective.
I'm a 32-year-old man who decided to leave my stressful corporate job to follow my dream of cooking. I opened a pizza shop in our local town, with my supportive gf (29F) backing me all the way.
Our neighbors have a son, 'John' (16M), a hardworking, polite teenager who has shown a keen interest in the restaurant business. Recognizing this, I offered him a part-time job at my shop. John was excited about the opportunity and his dad (44M) gave his consent.
But things got complicated with John's mom, who we'll call 'Karen' (42F). Karen felt that John's pay was unfairly low because he's a teenager, even though he's doing less complex tasks and learning a lot on the job. She argued that because I'm making a profit off his labor, he should be paid as much as an adult. I tried to explain to her that this is a standard wage for a first job, and the experience John is gaining is incredibly valuable. John seemed content with this arrangement.
Karen, however, wasn't satisfied. One day, during a rush, she stormed into my shop, demanding I increase John's pay or she would report me for exploitation. I stood my ground, telling her that if she didn't agree with the pay, John didn't need to continue working at my shop. This left John upset because he genuinely enjoys the job and the learning experience.
So Reddit, am I the antagonist for hiring my neighbor's son at my pizza shop and refusing to meet his mother's wage demands?

2023.06.09 15:33 Darneac Beliefs v5
God is a trinity
God the father God the son God the holy spirit
God the father:
Genesis 1:26 / Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.
John 14:28 / You have heard Me say to you, ‘I (Jesus) am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.
Matthew 24:36 / But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
God the holy spirit:
Genesis 1:2 / The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
John 14:26 / But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.
John 16:13 / However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
God the Son:
John 1:2-5 / In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:14 / And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth
John 8:58 / Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Revelation 1:18 / I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
God is good:
1 Chronicles 16:34 / Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
God is holy:
Psalm 97:12 / Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.
God's love:
John 3:16 / For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God's justice:
2 Corinthians 5:10 / For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
God is righteous:
Psalm 119:137 / Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments.
How to enter heaven:
- Believe in the trinity
- Believe Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross
- Believe Jesus Christ was raised from the dead 3 days later
- Do not follow your own desires
- Put on the armour of God
- Resist the devil and he will flee
- Follow God's commandments
- Repent of your sins
- Pray to God
- Ask for forgiveness from God
1 John 2:3-6 / When we obey God, we are sure we know him. But if we claim to know him and don't obey him, we are lying and the truth isn't in our hearts. We truly love God only when we obey him as we should, and then we know we belong to him. If we say we are his, we must follow the example of Christ.
We are all sinners but through Jesus we can find everlasting life.
Repent and turn from your old ways. Sin escalates and gets worse without regret.
Sin is not allowed in heaven so bind and resist sin on earth.
Matthew 18:18 / I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.
We can receive forgiveness and mercy for our sins through God the son, Jesus Christ our lord and saviour.
Forgiveness is available to everyone, even those who have made the same mistakes many times. However repentance is needed from you. Jesus will show you the right way but you still have a choice to follow or not.
How to resist the devil:
The armor of God represents the defense we must take in our spiritual lives. The Bible tells us that we are fighting a war against Satan, who seeks to destroy us. Therefore, we must take action and put on God's armor. As Christians, it is important for us to understand the severity of this battle.
Armor of God
- the belt of truth - honesty
- the breastplate of righteousness - do the right thing
- the shoes of the gospel of peace - remain calm and collected
- the shield of faith - trust God
- the helmet of salvation - accept Jesus Christ is my lord and savior.
- The sword of the Spirit - use and know the word of God
GOOD FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT:
Galatians 5:22-23 / But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Matthew 6:14 / For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Luke 6:36-38 / Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
Matthew 22:37-39 / Jesus says, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
1 Peter 4:8 / And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins
John 14:21 / Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”
SINS:
The 10 Commandments:
- You shall have no other God's before me.
- Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
- Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
- Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy.
- Honor your father and mother.
- Thou shalt not kill.
- Thou shalt not commit adultery.
- Thou shalt not steal.
- Thou shall not bear false witness.
- You shall not covet.
The seven deadly sins are:
- lust
- gluttony
- greed
- laziness
- wrath
- envy
- pride
Proverbs 6:16-19 / These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Matthew 5:27-28 / You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
James 4:17 / So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin
Colossians 3:5-6 / Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
Galatians 5:19-21 / Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity (hostility), strife (conflict), jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions (disagreement), divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21 / Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (sexual pleasure), idolatry, sorcery, enmity (hostility), strife (conflict), jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions (disagreements), divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Any miracles done that is not from God is from the devil. The devil is deceitful and will hide his sorcery in false doctrines. Do not be deceived and be led astray because this is done by the devil to hide the truth.
1 John 3:15 / Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
CONSEQUENCES OF SIN:
James 1:12-16 / Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and SIN WHEN IT IS FULLY GROWN BRINGS FORTH DEATH. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers
Hebrews 3:12-14 / Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an EVIL, unbelieving heart, LEADING YOU TO FALL AWAY FROM THE LIVING GOD. But exhort (strongly encourage) one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be HARDENED BY THE DECEITFULNESS OF SIN. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
1 Peter 3:12 / For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Matthew 5:30 / And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Proverbs 9:10 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
SAVED BY FAITH:
Matthew 7:21-23 / Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
Ephesians 2:8 -10 = For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand SO WE MAY DO THEM.
James 2:17 = So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead
James 2:21-22 / Was not our father Abraham justified by what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith was working with his actions, and his faith was perfected by what he did.
My conclusion on faith:
We are saved by faith in the trinity. Works are there to strengthen your faith. Sin weakens your faith until it dies.
Reasons for evil:
Isaiah 45:7 / I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things
You have free will to choose to be good or evil. God allows you to choose even if he knows what you will choose. If he doesn't allow evil people to exist he cannot give free will to man or he cannot let man be created. If man has no free will then we can no longer call ourselves human being as we would be something else. If we are not created by God he cannot save his lost sheep born into a world of good and evil where the ground is cured and weeds grow amongst the wheat.
Hell was created for the fallen angels but also because evil people exist. Evil people cannot escape justice so God created a place of torment for them. This place is for people who disobey God and refuse to serve him.
Matthew 13: 37-39 / He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
God needs cursed ground to sow the seeds of sinners. God has rules which he also follows, he does not just do as he wants. The devil can sow his own seeds as well. The devil's seeds/children can also be saved.
Zechariah 3 1-4 = Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. The LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?" Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, "Take off his filthy clothes." Then he said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you."
The devil is making mistakes as you can see from the verse above. Weeds can also be saved.
These sinners can be saved by faith in God the son. We are all black sheep which God is coming to find.
The reason for life:
You have free will but God also told you not to sin. Therefore you can ignore God's will and do as you please or you can obey God and do his will.
When you die or come to the end of your life on earth God will tell you who you are. Only God can define you. God loves you and wants to bless you too. Your blessings depends on what you did during your life on earth.
The bible is God's word.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 / All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

One of main issues that prevent me from using Stage Manager full time on the Mac is that when I open a new application it brings up its own stage instead of the app joining the current stage I'm working in. Is there a way in the beta to force the newly opened app to join the current stage? maybe a CMD + click / Shift + click?

2023.06.09 15:33 Atomicblonde So you want to import a horse (tales from a first timer)
For context: I am based on the US, ride dressage and work with a trainer who has imported numerous horses, so I was pretty well prepped on what to expect. Nothing was bad or crazy about this experience, I just feel like this might help others out there.
Finding an agent: Most likely if you are working with an experienced trainer, they will have contact info for an agent in Europe. If not, always ask how the agent is compensated. Some go on % of the price you pay on the horse, but others go on a fixed cost model (fee + travel expenses like hotels, food, rental car). Personally, I prefer the fixed cost model, but to each their own. Make sure you are clear with the agent about your price range and know that they typically work in euros - so if your budget is in USD or your local currency, do yourself a favor and make the conversion ahead of time. Also remember that that conversion changes regularly and, when you're talking in 5-6 figure budgets, you will notice those differences. Also be clear about any deal breakers. If you are staying in one general area, you probably need 4 days or so. Give yourself more time than you think you need (explained in etiquette section)
Booking the trip: Chances are, if you want to be able to view video ahead of your trip, you will not get a long lead time between booking and going. Obviously flights can be cheaper if you book well ahead of time, but sellers can only hold horses for so long. Some are quite accommodating and will hold for a week or 2, but remember that this is an inherent cost on their end. Also, when it comes to hotels and such, trust that your agent knows the best places to stay. A good agent will know small, nearby places that are typically less expensive and closer to the barns.
Etiquette: Shopping in Europe is quite differently paced than shopping in the US. For example, when you arrive, they will typically sit you down and have some coffee, maybe tell you about the stables, etc. It's friendly, welcoming and shouldn't be rushed through - even if you are dead-set on seeing a lot of horses on your trip. Great barns want to know that their horses are going to the right homes. When it comes to trying the horse, however, the timing aspect is sort of reversed. The moment you know this is not the horse for you, even if you haven't gotten on, you can say that you would like to pass. They will be glad you haven't wasted their time and will not be annoyed (I tend to find that such a terse interaction in the US would be considered rude - that doesn't apply at these barns that are getting in people regularly from around the world). Just as an aside, the horses will always be fully braided and turned out as if they are headed to a show. I honestly think that that presentation (and the offering of a drink or coffee) are very inexpensive ways that US sellers could heighten their game. But I digress.
Vetting: At least in Germany, it is federal law that the seller provide a standard set of 18 x-rays at their expense. I think it's feet (not skyline view), hocks, and stifles. Any additional x-rays can be purchased at your cost and they are generally quite a bit cheaper than in the US (because vets are doing x-rays regularly). So, for example, I added back and neck and the clinic charged me 250 euro. I vetted 2 horses and the sellers actually paid for both clinical vettings because, by their explanation, I was the first to vet both horses and it was easier for them to pay for it and then own the vetting if I decided to pass so they could keep it on file. (Obviously I was given the reports first so it's not like I had to get the reports through the sellers and worry about tampering or whatever)
Price negotiations: Aside from a language barrier and having a guide through the country, this is where a good agent can be key. This is a lot like it is in the US (prices can change based on vet findings, etc), but having a native speaker is very helpful. Also be aware (if this matters to you) if the seller works on a "coupon system". Essentially, some really big sale barns will tell you "if you don't like the horse, you can exchange it for another of equal value in such and such length of time". I'm honestly not sure if I find this good or bad, it's just sort of how it works. These barns have so many horses, it becomes easier to basically give you "store credit" to buy a different horse than give back your money. Oh, because I forgot to mention: European laws protect the consumer far more than the US (which does basically nothing in the case of horses). You have 2 years to return a horse, even if the horse was properly represented and it just didn't work out.
Import: Depending on where you fly into, it's safe to say that you will need to allocate $7500-$12k to import. Geldings only require 2-3 days of quarantine (depending on the time it takes to get bloodwork done), so that is why they are the most popular for import. Mares have to stay in quarantine for 3 weeks (I think that's right? Feel free to correct me anyone who has experience with this). If you are importing a stallion, I believe they are also 3 weeks AND they are required to breed to 2 mares during that time (it's flushed, no foal) to ensure they don't have equine STD's. Obviously since this is quite a hassle, only certain quarantine barns will accept stallions and I'm sure the import cost is far beyond what I have estimated above. Also, a pallet of horses (yup, they call them pallets) has 3 stalls and they will not fly the horses if the pallet is not filled. (Yeah, no extra leg room situations)
Ok, this was pretty long, but I'm sure I've missed something. If anyone has questions, please ask! I hope this was interesting and/or helpful.

2023.06.09 15:33 a-h-m-e-d-k The 5 pillars of good revision
| Intro After years of revising for pointless tests and exams. I have painstakingly derived the 5 pillars which decide how well you perform on exams. Do exams hold meaning anyway? This is a no bs guide to getting A*'s in your exams, or at the very least improving your grades guaranteed... probably. The post is a bit long but it will be time well spent I promise. In each pillar, there are three levels, to get to the next level you need to fulfil all the requirements of the level below it. 5 pillars - Mental and Physical Health
- Structure
- Focus
- Revision Techniques
- Consistency
Mental and Physical Health Without this, everything falls apart. Feeling burnt out, depressed and struggling to focus is the most detrimental thing to performing well on exams. You might be thinking - 'I do none of this stuff but still perform decently' but performing well on your exams is not more important than taking of yourself. Level 1: - You move around the house
Level 2: - You get 7-8 hours of sleep
- You at least 2 nutritional meals a day
- You go outside daily
- You keep in touch with friends
Level 3: - You do intense exercise at least once a week
- You stretch daily to take care of your posture
- You still spend time doing hobbies and extracurricular activities
Structure Structuring your revision is key to making sure that you don't feel overwhelmed. Ever gotten round to revising and finding out you have no idea what to revise? Or you know what you have to revise but you don't know what to start with? Then you open YouTube and watch a video on how to study so you feel like you're being productive. Level 1: - You have a checklist of what you will get done in your revision session
- You have made a note of what topics will be on the test
Level 2: - You have gone over your specification, old tests and homeworks and find out the topics you really struggle with. You make an action plan to either get help from your teacher, or your peers, or watch helpful YouTube videos
Level 3: - Retrospective Revision Timetable. You might already know what retrospective revision timetable means but if you don't, it means looking back on past events. Your average revision timetable (the one you are probably thinking of write now) is absolutely useless. You predict weeks or days into the future what topics you will cover at specifically the time you choose. If you've ever made one, you would have realised it's impossible to follow for more than 3 days. That is because it is impossible to predict what you should revise a few days or weeks into the future. This where the retrospective revision timetable comes in. You write down the topics down the side of a piece of paper or word document and across the top you write the number 1 to 5. Then, every time you spend maybe a 45 minutes or an hour revising a topic you put it into the timetable with the date - first time revising the topic you put it in column 1 etc. This allows you to create a snapshot of what you have and have not covered. That means next time you come to revise you know clearly what you still need to cover. You can also highlight the different boxes in red green or orange to signify how well the session went. Now this technique isn't for all tests and is only for the really large mocks or end of year exams

Doing work for long periods of time is an important skill to learn. You've probably already got distracted reading this - haven't you? Focus. Take 5 deep breaths and take stock of your surroundings. Being able to focus will help improve all aspects of your life. Level 1: - You keep your phone out of sight
- Caffeine - eh its good but don't overuse it
- You don't have a movie / TV show on in the background while revising
Level 2: - Cold showers - the feeling of awakeness you get from doing this is crazy. You really feel like you about to start levitating or something. If you ever wake up and feel like death this will literally slap the life back into you. Honestly, 100% worth the effort.
- Tidy Work environment - prevents your mind from feeling cluttered or something like that. Sometimes best to go to the library cos a change in environment can help sometimes
- You keep your phone and all distractions away from your study environment
Level 3: - You practise mindfulness and meditate regularly
- You listen to either binaural beats, white noise, or relaxing music of your choice
- You take a cocktail of study drugs and ascend from the mortal realm - I'm kidding, don't do this
Revision Techniques Contrary to popular belief (I think) it does matter how you revise. Saying you revised for 4 hours by writing out the entire spec doesn't count. What's important is making sure the revision that you do is useful to you. Level 1: - You watch videos for understanding - this isn't actually revision but you if you never understood the topic this is a good idea
- You reread your notes - almost always a waste of time when it comes to revision unless there aren't more comprehensive online sources you can learn from You sleep on your textbooks to allow the information to move in via osmosis - a rookie mistake a lot of people make is still leaving the covers on the textbook which is actually quite impermeable
Level 2: - Exam questions - the holy grail of revising. I highly recommend doing this and writing all the questions you get wrong with their answers into a word document or onto a sheet of paper. Exam technique heavy A-levels e.g. Biology are often looking for specific phrases and specific ways of saying things that you can only learn from doing exam questions
- BLURT - this is where you write down everything you know about a topic then correct it using a textbook or something like that. Quick way to find your misconceptions. You could probably do this as a mind map but the key thing is without notes. This is because it involves 'active recall'. Basically, brain fetch knowledge from memory memory become stronger easy to recall in a test.
Level 3: - You employ the Feynman technique and try to explain topics to your peers or people who know less about it then you. This allows you to gain a deep understanding of a topic. It's like opening a third eye or something. Feynman is where you write down a concept you are trying to learn. You then write about it in plain English so that anyone can understand. You then write about the concept so that a 10 year old can understand the topic. Use a variety of resources to improve your explanation. Then, use diagrams and analogies to make the topic easier to remember.
“If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough” - some guy Consistency Cramming the night before a test, if you don't know, is not good for your health. It's not good for you grades either. Staying up till 4am to revise Biology is rarely justified. Remember, 30 minutes a day for a week is better than a 6 hour study session at night where the only thing keeping you awake is caffeine and stress. For larger mocks a couple of days of solid revision is good enough for me but everyone works differently. Find the period of time where you have the time to revise effectively for your exams but it doesn't start to affect other areas of your life badly. Level 1 - You start your revision the night before the exam or, even worse, the morning of your exam.
Level 2 - You do a few cram sessions the days prior
Level 3 - You start revising a good couple weeks before important mocks and you slowly ramp up the revision intensity and duration. This only matters for bigger tests - I am still on Level 2 :(
Deciding your level For each pillar decide your level Level 1: 1 point Level 2: 2 points Level 3: 3 points Add them all up and decide which level you are 0 - 4: 'Academic comeback is real' guy. You believe that one night is all you need. It's alright, we've all been there. The difficulty was in knowing how to get better. But now you know. 5 - 8: Revision Fan. You dabble here and there in productivity. You are improving, but you aren't quite there yet. 9 - 12: Average revision enjoyer. You perform pretty well on tests. You know how to remain healthy while revising. 12 - 15: Revision gigachad. Reality can be whatever you want. You are the one who knocks. Well done, and good luck. https://preview.redd.it/ut66tw8wvz4b1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ed3dd8d3f49d444bf0aec3155d131c3ff6ed180 If you are a low level it's alright. I made this post for fun anyways. Just make sure to get all pillars to the same level e.g. get to level 1 on everything before moving to the next level. 2023.06.09 15:33 lrdezines Why does the Foothill Liquor store lack in variety?
Seems like the foothill shop’s location would warrant a good selection of labels, instead it’s just the standards. The space is there, I wish they would make use it by bringing in more labels, especially in the wine and liquor areas.

2023.06.09 15:33 Aquamarinedove Art commission scam?
I got a dm asking if I’m open for commission. I responded with yes, and then they sent me what they wanted and specifications. They asked if I have PayPal and I said no and they wanted me to activate it relatively quickly because they wanted to spend their $400 on my art so quickly. (First red flag because I’ll be honest I don’t think a normal person would usually give that much but this is my first time trying to take a commission). I said to find another artist and they said they’ll wait. Then they asked me where I’m from and I dodged that question. Should I block them or flat out say no?

2023.06.09 15:32 Balance796 God Transforms People as well as Stature in Life.
(Passage of Philemon, only a single page)
I appeal to you to show kindness to my child, Onesimus. I became his father in the faith while here in prison. Onesimus hasn't been of much use to you in the past, but now he is very useful to both of us. I am sending him back to you, and with him comes my own heart.
I wanted to keep him here with me while I am in these chains for preaching the Good News, and he would have helped me on your behalf. But I didn't want to do anything without your consent. I wanted you to help because you were willing, not because you were forced. It seems you lost
Onesimus for a little while so that you could have him back forever.
He is no longer like a slave to you. He is more than a slave, for he is a beloved brother, especially to me.
Now he will mean much more to you, both as a man and as a
brother in the Lord.
˜”*°•.˜”*°• Jesus Christ Saves •°*”˜.•°*”˜
Onesiums was once a slave, who was treated worse than dirt, this was how it was back then during the ancient Greek period. But look how God not only change him but his stature in life.
God sees no partiality (
Romans 2:11), but people certainly do!
God transform people into a new person. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Justine Beaver once loved God with all his might. He has a good voice but didn't really stand out from the rest. He put out songs on Youtube, which was not all that popular back then, unlike now, that was how people started to take notice. But you see, God opens doors for whatever your heart desires.
Justine didn't become famous on his own, God opens doors. This is clearly evident since so many complain and say I work hard, why do I not see success? When Justine was tested, he failed time and time again. He says he is a Christian, but his tree bears no fruit.
Katy Perry is another person. Her voice is a gift from God. At the beginning of her career, she started out as a Gospel singer but not too long after, she "sold her SOUL to the devil." She regrets it today, but after tasting the forbidden fruit, her desire to eat more has devoured her completely.
Steve Harvey is a famous comedian and hosts many wholesome family shows. He was once a homeless man. It's surprising! He is always well-dressed and never forgets his past. He gives credit to God for his success and always prays in secrecy. He does not announce to the whole world that he is a Christian, as the relationship is between him and God, unlike Justine Beaver always announcing to the world he is a Christian. Steve Harvey gives back to society in a big way, but he does not tell the whole world all that he gives. With wealth comes responsibilities, this is God's desire.
Never forget, (James 1:17) Every good and perfect gift comes from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights. Remembering to always give thanks to the GOOD Lord.
God is majestic in all his ways! God is generous and far greater giver than any people
without expecting anything back in return. When you build a relationship with God, he blesses you without even asking because God is the GOOD FATHER, the highest, the splendor above all.
Prepare for the Lord's coming

2023.06.09 15:32 Ilikewineandpopcorn How long after bleaching should I wait to lighten some more to avoid damage?) (4C hair)
Incoming storytime for context/venting purposes. Feel free to skip to the last paragraph. No pics because I am too shy but I will try to be as descriptive as possible.
Late last year I had my short, virgin, dark brown, 4C (afro-textured) hair to be bleached. My goal originally was platinum blonde, (#9-10) but I was really inspired by Solange Knowles warm blonde hair, so I went for that instead. My stylist (I will call them stylist “A”) delivered this in one process. I was pleased but decided it was TOO warm for me personally, (it was literally just like Solange so more “yellowy” than I felt suited me). I decided to tell her I wanted to go lighter when I came back for a root touch up.
I only waited 1 month before I went back for root touch up. I will call this fact Possible Mistake #1. I only had about a quarter inch of new growth at the time. Stylist A (to my surprise) was not the person there to do my touch up, it was her apprentice (Stylist B.) I feel several more Possible Mistakes were made during this second visit. First of Stylist B did not seem to even know what the hell I had scheduled for that day because they f’ed up by immediately washing my hair first thing. (I was so green I didn’t even know this was a bad thing. Possible Mistake #2.) when I told her what I was getting done (root touch up and overall lightening) she panicked because she had washed my hair and called Stylist A for advice. She put me under the hair dryer to dry me out before processing me. I am very sorry now that I was not paying more attention to what was going on. I believe I was processed and washed 3 times, I believe it went Bleach, Wash, Bleach, Wash, Tone. But it may have been just 1 bleach and 2 Tones. Afterwards my hair was certainly color I wanted, platinum-white blonde, like #10, maybe 9 but I think it was 10. However I noticed (after I got home, I didn’t get a good look at my hair at the salon) there were 2-3 large patches of grayish blue near my temple, other side of my head, and in the back. I was upset about this because I had to idea this could even happen, and Stylist B told me it would fade in a week. I frankly had lost a lot of trust in her at this point and went to Google to see what the actual f was up with my hair. Google said clarifying shampoo would fix the problem, so I did this 1 time that day and 1 time the next couple days. (I followed up with Olaplex shampoo hoping to not dry my hair out too much. Also I wore head wraps during this week, another Possible Mistake because I now know that put tension on my hair.) About a week later is when I started noticing significant hair loss, but just in those places that I mentioned were blueish gray before. The rest of my hair looked and felt lovely. Because 4C hair is so shrinky/stretchy I was able to disguise the hair loss at first. I was really enjoying it but the patches of hair loss just got to be tooo noticeable (all the blonde in those spots fell out so I only had my [brown!!] new growth underneath. It looked so bad and to’ up finally in I just shaved off 95% of the blonde to make it even with the new growth patches. But I was determined not to give up on my blonde dream and to try again as soon as I had enough hair to sacrifice to the bleach gods.
So fast forward to Now I have grown my hair out just enough, I found a new stylist (C) who ~purports~ to care a great deal about hair health. We discussed my goals and she suggested starting at a darker blonde (honey blonde, a number 7 I would call it) and working my way up to a 10 over time. So now for 2 days I am a happy #7 with an appointment to lighten in 1 month. But after making that appt (at stylist C’s suggestion!!) I am wracked with fear at the thought of processing my hair again. I just have no idea how long to wait, let alone the reasons or science behind waiting. Because girl if I need to I will wait 6 months to avoid losing my hair again!! I just need someone knowledge to please tell me what is up. Thanks so much for reading and for any advice you may have!!

2023.06.09 15:30 greatpiginthesty My 10th cake day is on July 2nd, my only method of Redding is shutting down on June 30th
I'm probably more sad than I should be. I started redditing at age 20, and for the first few years I would always feel guilty at how much time I spent here.
Now I'm 30. I'm kinder to myself in a lot of ways. I learned from Reddit that the way I feel and am is not due to massive personal failings, and that I'm not nearly as alone as my mind has convinced me I am my whole life.
I've been able to take that knowledge into the real world and let others know that they're not alone.
Reddit has been a gift and a curse to me for all my twenties, and I'm sad to see it go.

2023.06.09 15:30 mushroomhoarder How can I use dating apps without them hurting my mental health?
I am lonely, and am considering returning to dating apps. I have been to LGBT and women centered events in my area, but haven't had any luck finding somebody near my age whom I connect with. I have refrained from getting back on dating apps, because I feel uneasy about my ex seeing me on there. In addition, I've found dating apps to be energy suckers and a lot of the people on them being disingenuous. I also began using them as "confidence boosters" and felt as if I was dehumanizing people shortly before I deleted them. However, I have been searching for a companion for a very long time, and am limited when it comes to meeting people in person. How can I use dating apps without them becoming toxic or dehumanizing?

2023.06.09 15:30 a-h-m-e-d-k The 5 pillars of good revision

Perhaps that discussion would fall into categories; I really don't care, as long as there's even a flicker of interest:

b.) Bah, the Future hasn't happened yet, and won't till then; the Past is hot and sexy, true, but it's dead.
