Posted this in another sub and thought maybe its useful to someone here too.
What we will do: Get a free subdomain for your network and add simple records to it, add a record to your own local DNS, configure NPM (Nginx Proxy Manager) to get trusted valid SSL certificates for your subdomain, and importantly sub-subdomains, set NPM to proxy to a service like Portainer.
The end result will be that you can use https://portainer.example.dedyn.io in your home network, and you will have proper SSL working, and also no need to remember port numbers for each link anymore.
The one part i will not cover here is installing NPM. It would be beyond this already looking huge post and it truely is not hard to do. Look up guides/videos about "installing nginx proxy manager". There are thousands in whatever format and language your prefer. And do yourself a favor, if you are not already, use docker compose for it instead of docker run, it makes things much easier for you and any good tutorial will use this too. It really is not hard to do. And if it is, then honestly, maybe you shouldnt be doing this at all, quite simple. Its okay to not be ready to do something. But fingers crossed, you managed to just install NPM. Good.
You will also need some form of simple local DNS. A lof people reading this might already be running something like Pihole or Adguard Home, thats perfect. If not, maybe your routegateway has basic local DNS features and you can add a custom entry there. If you dont have any of that, you can still continue but functionality will be limited, for now. Or if you are not in a rush with the SSL cert stuff here, you can take a break and first get Pihole for example going in your Docker setup, it doesnt need any SSL certs or things for itself.
So get a free subdomain from https://www.desec.io and it will be like example.dedyn.io Important: You dont need to make a new subdomain here for each of your services at home. You only create one "main" domain and later on we will locally add everything else. So dont make portainer.dedyn.io now, make something like myhomenetwork.dedyn.io and that will later become portainer.myhomenetwork.dedyn.io
Now you have a subdomain and deSEC is managing your DNS records for that domain. Perfect.
Then add a CNAME record that has just * as the subname and has example.dedyn.io. as the target hostname (note the dot at the end here).
That is all for the records now.
Worst case, you dont have anything for local DNS. Then on your workstation (probably the computer youre sitting at right now), the computer where you will later try to access Portainer (as the example)... edit your local hosts file. Sounds scary, it isnt. If you are using a typical Linux, sudo nano /etc/hosts will do it. Add a new line in the format you can already see there, like 192.168.120.17 portainer.example.dedyn.io Replace the IP with the IP where your Nginx Proxy Manager is running on, NOT where Portainer might be running. Save the file and exit (with nano, press CTRL+X). Now you have a fake local DNS entry for portainer.example.dedyn.io but it only works on this one computer, not for your entire network like a phone etc. That is why a real local DNS is later required to make this all work perfectly. But for now you can continue like this. If you later do setup a local DNS, you can come back and remove this line from your hosts file.
Try ping portainer.example.dedyn.io and you should see it resolving to and probably replying from the IP of NPM. Good.
So enter NPM's webinterface, go to SSL certificates and select Add new, Lets Encrypt.
Now into the domains field you enter this: Type example.dedyn.io then click on add. Now still in the domains field, type *.example.dedyn.io and at the end, click add again. Now you should have two seperate entries there for two "domains".
Lower in that menu, enable Use a DNS Challenge and in the Provider list select deSEC.
In the field 'Credentials File Contentyou **ONLY replace the placeholder**YOUR_DESEC_API_TOKEN` with the token you have saved earlier from the deSEC web interface. So the field must then look like this:
dns_desec_token = edWQ1LXhjBG8wdYj4Ws5HFmE4mjs dns_desec_endpoint = https://desec.io/api/v1/
Then Agree to the terms and save this. You can wait a minute or two and then the entry in the list should have a green symbol and it will say a date when the cert will expire (90 days from now). Thats it, that is all done with your "fake" domain and your valid SSL certificate. Perfect!
As domain you enter portainer.example.dedyn.io Yes thats correct, you just add the name of your service at the front, as another subdomain to the one you actually own. Thats what the * does as a wildcard when we added the DNS records and when we setup the SSL certificate.
Now as scheme its important to know that this DOES NOT refer to how you want to access Portainer. It refers to what Portainer as the target is currently offering. With a standard Portainer (or most other services like this) it will be plain HTTP. So leave this option at that.
The field Forward Hostname/IP that is where nginx should redirect to, the target. So that must be the IP of your Portainer in this example. Enter that. And into the Forward Port field you enter the port where you typically reach Portainer at.
Leave everything else at default for now. The additional options are sometimes required for some services, but you can always come back later to toggle them on/off and test more.
In the tab for SSL select the entry we have created earlier for your example.dedyn.io *.example.dedyn.io. Again, for now leave everything else at default. Click save.
Your proxy host will now be shown in the list of hosts. Give it a few seconds, then try to access https://portainer.example.dedyn.io
What is happening then is this:
NPM will also pay attention to when the SSL cert will expire, and automatically renew it for you, you dont have to do anything manually there. You also dont have to touch the public DNS records at deSEC anymore.
From now on, for a new local service that you want to use, all you need to do is: Add a local DNS entry for it in the form of service.example.dedyn.io and point it to your NPM IP. Then inside NPM, you add a new proxy host, and add the IP of the service as the Forward IP and select the existing SSL cert. Thats it. Nothing more.

get domain/subdomain
Get yourself a domain. Yes that is required. But it doesnt need to be a paid domain. And you dont have to run your services publicly over it later. You can do that all local only. But for a trusted SSL cert you need a domain. And it can be a subdomain too. Just make sure the provider is compatible with Lets Encrypt's DNS challenge and that they support wildcard subdomains. A lot of them dont. For simplicity i will stick to the excellent deSEC here.So get a free subdomain from https://www.desec.io and it will be like example.dedyn.io Important: You dont need to make a new subdomain here for each of your services at home. You only create one "main" domain and later on we will locally add everything else. So dont make portainer.dedyn.io now, make something like myhomenetwork.dedyn.io and that will later become portainer.myhomenetwork.dedyn.io
Now you have a subdomain and deSEC is managing your DNS records for that domain. Perfect.
add records
In the deSEC interface, you add one A record that points to your home IP (you dont need to open anything there, no ports, nothing, just add the record). This could even be a fake IP, but im fairly certain a valid A record needs to exist (i might test and edit this later).Then add a CNAME record that has just * as the subname and has example.dedyn.io. as the target hostname (note the dot at the end here).
That is all for the records now.
get token
Now go to Token Management on their site, click the + to Generate a new token, enter a useful name for the token like "nginx proxy" and click save to show the token. Now copy that token value into a textfile somewhere, you will need it later and it will not be shown again for security reasons. When you have done that, you are done with deSEC here.make local DNS entry
Now as i mentioned earlier, maybe you already use a local DNS like Pihole. Perfect! In your Pihole add a new "Local DNS entry" and use for portainer.example.dedyn.io in that format and now the important bit, this entry should NOT point at your Portainer IP, but it needs to point at the IP wherever your Nginx Proxy Manager is running. Maybe that is the same IP as Portainer, maybe not. Just make sure its the one where NPM can be reached from your entire network. Save this and done. If youre using AdGuard or something else, the procedure is the same, just different menus and labels. I really cant provide info for every local DNS tool that exists.Worst case, you dont have anything for local DNS. nginx proxy manager
So you have watched and followed a guide to simply install NPM (Nginx Proxy Manager) on your system, for simplicity that can be the same system where all your services are running in Docker for example but it doesnt need to be. This computer does not need to have any ports forwarded or open or anything to the public internet. NPM should be running on ports 80 and 443, but that means only those ports on that machine, not forwarding these ports to the internet. And you need access to NPMs webinterface which is at port 81 by default. So if youre using docker-compose for this, you must have mapped80:80and443:443` and the 81 can be mapped to whatever you want.So enter NPM's webinterface, go to SSL certificates and select Add new, Lets Encrypt.
Now into the domains field you enter this: Type example.dedyn.io then click on add. Now still in the domains field, type *.example.dedyn.io and at the end, click add again. Now you should have two seperate entries there for two "domains".

- Because you used https to access it and you didnt add any custom port, your browser tries the default port 443 on that IP
- NPM sits on that IP and this port, and responds
- NPM recognizes that you are not trying to reach itself, but that you used portainer.example.dedyn.io
- NPM redirects you to the proxy host you have set up earlier, meaning the Forward Hostname/IP and Port and thats where Portainer actually is.
- You should now have the Portainer interface loading and your browser should show a happy symbol or whatever for a valid trusted SSL certificate, click on it and check the details, it will say something about Lets Encrypt.

I don’t know what to do. My (17F) mom and dad got divorced when I was younger and the only way I was really able to cope was because I would still see them both and no new people were being brought into the picture. I know part of the reason I’m freaking out so much is egged on by my autism.
My mom (who I live with solely) has always been a very “independent business woman” type of person who never needed a man, and in a conversation we had about a month ago when I brought up my hatred of the idea of another guy, she said she had no reason to. This was extremely comforting to me.
Today my mom just left to an outing and as she was walking out the door I joked if she was seeing a “bumble bff”, which is the sister-company for platonic matches from the regular dating app Bumble. She said that she was going to a bumble date, which absolutely shocked me but she was gone and there wasn’t really any time for questions. I called up my younger sister in shock, who was pretty nonchalant and was like “so? She’s been going on them for the last couple weeks why are you so surprised, don’t you want a new dad?” Which I absolutely do not, I have my dad and I cannot accept a new father figure in the picture. I did not know any of this was going on, she likely didn’t want to tell me because I already mentioned I didn’t like the idea of my parents re-dating.
I know she can’t just be single forever and I’m being a bad kid, but I cannot stop crying and panicking because I don’t want this and I dont want change and I just frankly want her to stay single for a little longer. I have been going through a continuously rough time these past 2 years and cannot add any more onto my plate, I’m completely overwhelmed. I cannot deal with this knowledge and I’m having something of a meltdown and need to know what to do. I know I’m logically being dramatic but I feel like a little kid right now and cannot stop sobbing over some loss that hasn’t technically even happened yet. I don’t want my mom to get with another man. What do I do ??

Hello everyone. Basically, the title.
I got my cat in April about a week after my dog died. She’s a year old, and she was found on the street as a kitten by some frat guy who gave her to a rescue after realizing he couldn’t care for her.
She’s great! I have lots of windows and she loves staring at birds so she’s been having a blast. However, she seems a little bored at times. I’ve tried playing with her, and she’s interested for a couple minutes and then goes back to playing by herself.
I was already planning on having two cats - I was going to wait until I was in a better place financially, but I was real depressed after my dog died and I didn’t like it! So I started with one cat.
Every single person I’ve mentioned this to has agreed that I should get another cat. The main reason I was holding off was because I’m looking for another job. My parents stay with me when they’re in town (~1/2 the time) and they were initially hesitant about cats in general. After seeing her a couple times, they straight up said they’d be willing to finance the other cat.
So! I’m generally pretty familiar with cat behavior and introduction techniques and all that, but is there any wisdom y’all have to share with me? Should I get an older cat or younger kitten? Is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Any tips? Pictures of your cats?

He was so hungry, lying on the floor of the cage, his hand dangling through the bars, he listened as his stomach left off a round of mournful gurgling.
The mournful gurgle turned into a low grumble and then a distinctive angry howl. His mouth was dry, and he did his best to wet his lips with his tongue.
He could only imagine what the others had been feeling when he first arrived.
No one had been feeding them, and here he was, lying around in a pathetic heap, though he was still watered and fed to some degree. Arguably the amount should have been sustainable if he hadn't been sharing with the other prisoners. He knew it would only cause more problems for all of them in the long run, but he couldn't bring himself to eat while others starved.
Below them on the Prodigum's open floor, Sunny lay curled up against one wall with a line of other prisoners. He had no doubt that she could have broken out by now, but she wouldn't, not as long as he was here at least.
Adam rolled onto his back to stare up at the ceiling of the cage. A plan had been forming in his head, though whether he could get a message to Sunny was a different matter. He mostly hoped that she would be smart enough to go along with it, or smart enough to go along with it and help with her own plan, if his plan failed.
What was his plan?
Well, that was an entirely different matter…
Honestly it was a pretty stupid plan, designed based on complete conjecture and hope on his part.
Not only that but it pretty much required that Sunny had the ability to read minds, which in itself was stupid, considering their only mind reader was most likely a couple million light years away.
He sighed.
"Ready to start again, commander?”
He closed his eyes against the voice and tried not to groan. He did not want to keep going with this, but he knew he had to.
He rolled onto his knees and looked over at the other cages, where the voice coach and the drummer were watching him. The two of them had been there longer than him and were much closer to the verge of death, though since his arrival they were at least getting something small to eat and drink.
"I'm ready."
His voice was hoarse, and He was forced to clear it.
At least his throat didn't hurt today, a fact that he owed all to the voice coach.
"Remember keep your posture straight, but not strained, breath all the way down and into the belly, don't rely on the chest. The posture of the mouth is the most important aspect of a good singing voice."
He leaned his head against the bars with a sigh.
This was not something he ever thought he would need to learn how to do, especially not in order to save his own life.
There were plenty of other things he had imagined needing to learn. On the floor below them, he watched as Sunny watched him, her sharp gold eyes curious as she watched the two of them working.
She would have no idea what his plan was, and he couldn't tell her. It was known that there were members of the serving staff who were loyal to the Prodigum, whether it be out of fear, Stockholm syndrome, or loyalty.
He idly wondered what the others were thinking.
He wondered what Sunny was thinking.
He wondered if tonight would be his last night alive.
If he would die he would make at least sure that it would be to save Sunny.

The clients began filtering into the room.
Slaves were brought forward for auction, most of them rather worthless, burned out from ears and years of use, but occasionally he would throw in a piece from his own stock knowing that the perceived value of one slave would drive up the price of another.
Lights began to flash and pulse around them at his behest.
He liked the flashing lights, they tended to confuse some of the other species, making them dumber and more likely to buy irrational purchases.
It was the same with the music, though speaking of which… where was his music?
In anger, he turned in his place, shuffling his great bulk over the floor with great halting movements of his arms and the shuffling of his back legs.
The little tentacles below his chin waved in the air, tasting it. He could taste the human, so it's not like the creature was out of his sight.
Ah there it was, in its cage as usual.
It was standing defiantly looking down at him. The ugly little creature glowered at him, its tight skin stretched over bone and lumpy muscle skeletal and strange with its flexible rubbery body.
He hated humans, though they were at least good for one thing.
…
Singing.
He wasn't entirely sure how they did, but he was more than jealous.
He really wished Prodigum could sing…
Though he was already working in one of the backrooms on a little project to help with that hinderance…
Of course, he didn't know this, but the Prodigum were more readily affected by human species than a lot of the others.
Where it targeted the Vrul's sense of pattern recognition and overloaded their brain, it directly impacted the emotional cortex of the Prodigum.
Singing to him was an addiction.
One that he had not yet admitted to himself or anyone else.
The human still stared at him its slimy white and green eye, blinking once or twice. He shivered in disgust, but slowly turned to look at the blue Drev. She would fetch a nice price if he were ever to sell her, and he hoped the human understood his intentions.
They were at least smart enough for that on most occasions.
He saw the human shoulders sink just a bit.
Then without further urging, it began to sing.
The Prodigum leaned back slightly, as the sound washed over him bringing with it a wave of melancholy and sadness.
It felt so good,
The fold of his face trembled with delight.
All around him the other clients stopped to look up at the human.
Was it just them or had its voice gotten better, more hypnotic?

Behind the Prodigums back Sunny flexed her hands.
She was ready for whatever Adam was planning, for she knew based on the looks and small gestures he had been giving her over the past few days that he was planning something.
However, the night went on, and although Adam's singing voice had markedly improved, she sensed nothing changing.
She shifted nervously in her cage, looking over to where the Prodigum sat on his back haunches, his large arms resting beside him, a glassy expression on his face, or at least as glassy as an expression could get when it looked like a pile of melted dough.

She glanced around at the others, aliens in various stages of debauchery, sort of lethargic and wobbly.
She glanced up at Adam…
He looked down at her, letting the last note of the song he was using fade off.
She nervously shifted as the aliens began to shift and move.
Then the quiet human in the far cage began tapping his hand against the bars. Adam cleared his throat. The female human began to hum softly.
How interesting…
The effect was almost immediate.
Adam took one deep breath and made eye contact with Sunny.
And then he opened up his voice, cutting through the fading clamor like a blade made of diamond–rising from the upper chest and throat in a way she didn't think him capable, quivering at the top as the others accompanied him.
His voice was full, but filled with pain as he poured in emotion like a damn, breaking to spill water into a canyon. The drummer beat out a soft rhythm behind him.
As he continued to sing the voice was so sad, so pained, that it almost made Sunny want to cry.
He gripped the bars with white knuckled hands, his face contorting with the words not bothering to mask whatever emotion he had dredged up to make a sound like that.
Beautiful and sad.
He dropped low into his chest his voice ringing powerfully over the walls before dropping into softness.
He leaned his head against the bars.
She had a tough time looking away.
What did someone have to be thinking about to make a sound like that?
The beat stopped behind him, leaving just his clear voice ringing out through the room.
She was forced to shake herself from her reverie.
When that song ended, the next one began his voice –quiet– filling the room as she slowly stepped back out of line of sight from the others.
No one was paying attention to her.
If she could just make it to the door, then maybe she would be able to find a way to get a signal out to the others.
Her movement almost notified someone, but at that moment Adam dropped his voice low, adding such a powerful hint of sadness in it that it nearly broke turning his voice to a soft rasp.
The creature could barely keep its feet.
Off to her side the Prodigum had practically melted onto the floor.
She had almost reached the door, and he brought his voice higher, the rasp still in it. It took everything she had to keep moving towards the door, and not to turn around, to be captured in the pain and sadness that he used to glue the others to their places.
Again, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of memories you had to dredge up to sing like that.
It was almost painful.
She had made it to the door.
She reached out to open it as the door opened and light spilled inward, he again reached upwards with his voice, cracking the barrier between him and the others. His voice began to splinter, but not unintentionally, actually quite on purpose, fracturing like ice.
She ran out into the hall.
She froze in place for a second, running face-first into another Prodigum.
It looked as if it was about to attack her, but when the voice washed over it, there was nothing it could do but follow the sound.
As the voice filtered out into the hallway, the same effect remained true. Others began following the sound in a dazed trance barely acknowledging her as they searched for the sad voice, so clear and powerful.

He leaned into it, eyes closed, trying to dredge up the emotion he needed. He needed to give Sunny time to work. He needed to keep their attention. But the more he thought about keeping his voice in place, the harder it was to hold.
So, he tried to ignore the need, instead allowing the emotion to roll into his body strong enough to make his face tingle and shivers to run down his face.
Tears sprung to his eyes, and he tried to hold that feeling allowing his voice to crack at just the right moments occasionally looking down at a slowly growing crowd absolutely entranced.
Behind him, the others were trying hard to keep up.
The door had opened long ago, but there were still forms trickling in.
How long would he have to hold this before someone noticed that Sunny was missing?
He tried tor as long as he could, he really did, but carrying that amount of emotion was difficult, and eventually it faded away. He still kept their rapt attention with his voice, but they were moving again, looking around at each other with confused expressions as if they were trying to figure out what had happened. The Prodigum lay almost passed out on the floor looking on in a strange mixture of confusion and contentment.
Like he was high as hell.
He had no idea how Sunny was going to do this worried that she had gone to her death.
Someone would notice her eventually, wouldn't they?
He wasn't sure how long he was going, hours or not, but eventually he lost the strength of his voice and the surrounding room went back to its normal routine using him as a simple background.
He had done all he could, now it was time to find out if Sunny had made it or not.*

The door hissed open, and the Prodigum turned his groggy head towards the light spilling across the floor.
He was surprised at that moment as a small shape scuttled into the room.
”And all this bullshit about I how I should stay logical, I don’t FUCKING care! I’m sick of this bullshit! The marines get to kill people all the time, but if I ask if I could bathe a goddamn Prodigum in acid and they say “nooo you can’t to that its unethical”… Fuck off!”

But those didn't come here?
Number one they couldn't stand music, and number two, they were never involved in the slave market.
”Fuck off goddamn ethical laws, its not like they uphold them!”
The strange sight pulled him out of his trance enough to get up and scoot in that direction, to find out more about this uninvited guest.
It was a small creature, a brownish grey in color with large orange prismatic eyes.
He wondered how it was still walking, but then noticed the large noise-canceling headphones it wore.
”Really I am so fucking done! Fine have it as you want I will NOT kill him… there are other ways to give him what he deserves…”
It scuttled closer to him, pausing at his feet before looking up.
”Hey asshole!? Yes I am talking to you!”
That was strange, it didn't seem scared?
But the Vrul were always scared!?
"Are you the proprietor of this fine establishment?"
The Prodigum was totally baffled about what was going on and just answered truthfully.
"I am."
"Jolly good."
The creature said, reaching out with a hand and gently tossing something in his direction.
The Prodigum flinched for a moment as the tiny devices stuck to his arms legs and face.
"What is that?"
”What you deserve bitch!”
The little creature raised a hand and pressed something with a click.
His world erupted in pain, as lightning and electricity surged through him.
And then the world turned black.

Dr. Krill stood over him, hand still, still every now and then pressing the button as humans and Drev erupted into the room from all angles.
”I hate the fact that because of YOU Adam got captured AGAIN!”
He pressed the button again.
**”I hate the fact that because of you I had to captain a FUCKING human ship for two weeks, you hear me!? TWO WEEKS!!!”
Another button press, followed by more painful twitching from the Prodigum.
”But do you want to know what I hate most of all?”
He leaned down to the twitching Prodigum, holding down on the button.

”Fieldwork!"
He looked up from where he stood,
"You are ALL under arrest."
Another Prodigum hissed:
”You can’t just do that!”
”Oh, what I can’t do is surgically cut you a thousand times and then bathe you in salt, because SOMEONE apparently decided the Geneva convention should also apply to scumbags like you. But what I can do is arrest you fuckers! Just watch me!”
”Wait what was that first part?”
"Thank your gods I didn't have final jurisdiction."

Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

The mournful gurgle turned into a low grumble and then a distinctive angry howl. His mouth was dry, and he did his best to wet his lips with his tongue.
He could only imagine what the others had been feeling when he first arrived.
No one had been feeding them, and here he was, lying around in a pathetic heap, though he was still watered and fed to some degree. Arguably the amount should have been sustainable if he hadn't been sharing with the other prisoners. He knew it would only cause more problems for all of them in the long run, but he couldn't bring himself to eat while others starved.
Below them on the Prodigum's open floor, Sunny lay curled up against one wall with a line of other prisoners. He had no doubt that she could have broken out by now, but she wouldn't, not as long as he was here at least.
Adam rolled onto his back to stare up at the ceiling of the cage. A plan had been forming in his head, though whether he could get a message to Sunny was a different matter. He mostly hoped that she would be smart enough to go along with it, or smart enough to go along with it and help with her own plan, if his plan failed.
What was his plan?
Well, that was an entirely different matter…
Honestly it was a pretty stupid plan, designed based on complete conjecture and hope on his part.
Not only that but it pretty much required that Sunny had the ability to read minds, which in itself was stupid, considering their only mind reader was most likely a couple million light years away.
He sighed.
"Ready to start again, commander?”
He closed his eyes against the voice and tried not to groan. He did not want to keep going with this, but he knew he had to.
He rolled onto his knees and looked over at the other cages, where the voice coach and the drummer were watching him. The two of them had been there longer than him and were much closer to the verge of death, though since his arrival they were at least getting something small to eat and drink.
"I'm ready."
His voice was hoarse, and He was forced to clear it.
At least his throat didn't hurt today, a fact that he owed all to the voice coach.
"Remember keep your posture straight, but not strained, breath all the way down and into the belly, don't rely on the chest. The posture of the mouth is the most important aspect of a good singing voice."
He leaned his head against the bars with a sigh.
This was not something he ever thought he would need to learn how to do, especially not in order to save his own life.
There were plenty of other things he had imagined needing to learn. On the floor below them, he watched as Sunny watched him, her sharp gold eyes curious as she watched the two of them working.
She would have no idea what his plan was, and he couldn't tell her. It was known that there were members of the serving staff who were loyal to the Prodigum, whether it be out of fear, Stockholm syndrome, or loyalty.
He idly wondered what the others were thinking.
He wondered what Sunny was thinking.
He wondered if tonight would be his last night alive.
If he would die he would make at least sure that it would be to save Sunny.
The clients began filtering into the room.
Slaves were brought forward for auction, most of them rather worthless, burned out from ears and years of use, but occasionally he would throw in a piece from his own stock knowing that the perceived value of one slave would drive up the price of another.
Lights began to flash and pulse around them at his behest.
He liked the flashing lights, they tended to confuse some of the other species, making them dumber and more likely to buy irrational purchases.
It was the same with the music, though speaking of which… where was his music?
In anger, he turned in his place, shuffling his great bulk over the floor with great halting movements of his arms and the shuffling of his back legs.
The little tentacles below his chin waved in the air, tasting it. He could taste the human, so it's not like the creature was out of his sight.
Ah there it was, in its cage as usual.
It was standing defiantly looking down at him. The ugly little creature glowered at him, its tight skin stretched over bone and lumpy muscle skeletal and strange with its flexible rubbery body.
He hated humans, though they were at least good for one thing.

Singing.
He wasn't entirely sure how they did, but he was more than jealous.
He really wished Prodigum could sing…
Though he was already working in one of the backrooms on a little project to help with that hinderance…
Of course, he didn't know this, but the Prodigum were more readily affected by human species than a lot of the others.
Where it targeted the Vrul's sense of pattern recognition and overloaded their brain, it directly impacted the emotional cortex of the Prodigum.
Singing to him was an addiction.
One that he had not yet admitted to himself or anyone else.
The human still stared at him its slimy white and green eye, blinking once or twice. He shivered in disgust, but slowly turned to look at the blue Drev. She would fetch a nice price if he were ever to sell her, and he hoped the human understood his intentions.
They were at least smart enough for that on most occasions.
He saw the human shoulders sink just a bit.
Then without further urging, it began to sing.
The Prodigum leaned back slightly, as the sound washed over him bringing with it a wave of melancholy and sadness.
It felt so good,
The fold of his face trembled with delight.
All around him the other clients stopped to look up at the human.
Was it just them or had its voice gotten better, more hypnotic?

She was ready for whatever Adam was planning, for she knew based on the looks and small gestures he had been giving her over the past few days that he was planning something.
However, the night went on, and although Adam's singing voice had markedly improved, she sensed nothing changing.

I don't even know where to start, the past year I've been having this thought of breaking up for various reasons (I'll elaborate later). I kept going cause I really love her, and things are going well between us, just with occasional fights, more like arguments we don't really fight we just communicate a lot upon what happened, so I don't really actually know what I want to do yet..
Also I really want to go to Psychotherapy this summer.
My GF is more of an introvert, (I'm extrovert or maybe ambivert) she always loves hanging out at home, scared when we meet new people, kind of laid back doesn't talk a lot, only got confortable with my friends after some time.
There's 2 situations that I want to explain that bothered me/us in the past few months, and we have exchanged arguments on these topics:
S1: In th past years, I always talked a lot about a festival that is really in my heart, went there before pandemy few years in a row, like it's really special place for me to chillout, be with friends, we're camping like 5 days, listen to music etc. I mentioned her about this place few times and she told me at least once or twice, that she doesn't think she'd enjoy coming, as she doesn't like camping being outdoor, also the music isn't on her taste, no hot water,lots of people etc.
Okay, then when I bought a ticket for this festival, she got mad at me, that I didn't tell her before I bought it and ask her again if she'd like to come? now here's where I explained I don't like insisting on things which are being said to me clearly that you won't like to attend to, for lots of reasons more than once, she said I should've at least told her before buying it, I really thought that it wouldn't be an issue to buy and tell her afterwards, since she made it REALLY clear for me that she wouldn't enjoy coming there when I showed her photos/videos and she was uninterested about it while I kept talking how awesome it is to be in nature, camp etc. It was a spontaneous purchase, as it was the first tickets to be sold, a friend told me to get the first one cause they'll get more expensive. I thought it's no big deal if I told her after I bought it.
S2: few months ago I had my first gig abroad, I DJ occasionally as a side hobby/passion, when I told her that they're trying to book me a flight ticket and it's actually happening soon she said she'll like to come as well, but I explained to her that this first time I'd like to get there alone to actually be able to network, meet everyone focus on bonding with everyone, instead of focusing on her while we're there. I also said, that the 2nd time, we could 100% go there together, but for the first one there, I wanted to go alone , to actually be able to focus on my relationship with the organizers them and network as much as possible. Had some arguments before going, after I got back, she said she was sorry for not understanding and being unsupportive at first with my decision.
now here's another thing that happened while I was there for the gig, 2nd day there, we facetimed and she was kind of pissed, asked her what's wrong, why does she look mad etc? she was jealous/upset how a girl (a friend of the dude who was the main organizer) was holding me/hugged me in a pic and she posted on story and we were smiling. I mean all 3 (me the dude organizer and the one girl DJ who's also part of their group of residents, among more others) of us were having fun that night, drank some beers, bonded and made fun of lots of stuff in their city, nothing sexual at all. I have to mention, I DID NOTHING with that girl, apart from laughing, hugging in a friendly way out of respect I didn't even reposted her story, to upset my GF for seeing her on my reposts.. but she kind of stalked the people and then got to her IG, and saw the pic she posted by herself with me while we were in that bar.

Worth to mention maybe: It's my first serious relationship, hers as well, I'm her first BF ever, I had few relationships in the past, not many tho. In december it would be 3 years together, I NEVER cheated on her, even though I was in many situations when girls tried doing smth with me, I denied saying I have a GF and that we can't do shit and moved on.
I'm willing to apologize to her 100% if I was wrong in both situations

Also I really want to go to Psychotherapy this summer.
My GF is more of an introvert, (I'm extrovert or maybe ambivert) she always loves hanging out at home, scared when we meet new people, kind of laid back doesn't talk a lot, only got confortable with my friends after some time.
There's 2 situations that I want to explain that bothered me/us in the past few months, and we have exchanged arguments on these topics:
S1: In th past years, I always talked a lot about a festival that is really in my heart, went there before pandemy few years in a row, like it's really special place for me to chillout, be with friends, we're camping like 5 days, listen to music etc. I mentioned her about this place few times and she told me at least once or twice, that she doesn't think she'd enjoy coming, as she doesn't like camping being outdoor, also the music isn't on her taste, no hot water,lots of people etc.
Okay, then when I bought a ticket for this festival, she got mad at me, that I didn't tell her before I bought it and ask her again if she'd like to come? now here's where I explained I don't like insisting on things which are being said to me clearly that you won't like to attend to, for lots of reasons more than once, she said I should've at least told her before buying it, I really thought that it wouldn't be an issue to buy and tell her afterwards, since she made it REALLY clear for me that she wouldn't enjoy coming there when I showed her photos/videos and she was uninterested about it while I kept talking how awesome it is to be in nature, camp etc. It was a spontaneous purchase, as it was the first tickets to be sold, a friend told me to get the first one cause they'll get more expensive. I thought it's no big deal if I told her after I bought it.
S2: few months ago I had my first gig abroad, I DJ occasionally as a side hobby/passion, when I told her that they're trying to book me a flight ticket and it's actually happening soon she said she'll like to come as well, but I explained to her that this first time I'd like to get there alone to actually be able to network, meet everyone focus on bonding with everyone, instead of focusing on her while we're there. I also said, that the 2nd time, we could 100% go there together, but for the first one there, I wanted to go alone , to actually be able to focus on my relationship with the organizers them and network as much as possible. Had some arguments before going, after I got back, she said she was sorry for not understanding and being unsupportive at first with my decision.
now here's another thing that happened while I was there for the gig, 2nd day there, we facetimed and she was kind of pissed, asked her what's wrong, why does she look mad etc? she was jealous/upset how a girl (a friend of the dude who was the main organizer) was holding me/hugged me in a pic and she posted on story and we were smiling. I mean all 3 (me the dude organizer and the one girl DJ who's also part of their group of residents, among more others) of us were having fun that night, drank some beers, bonded and made fun of lots of stuff in their city, nothing sexual at all. I have to mention, I DID NOTHING with that girl, apart from laughing, hugging in a friendly way out of respect I didn't even reposted her story, to upset my GF for seeing her on my reposts.. but she kind of stalked the people and then got to her IG, and saw the pic she posted by herself with me while we were in that bar.

Worth to mention maybe: It's my first serious relationship, hers as well, I'm her first BF ever, I had few relationships in the past, not many tho. In december it would be 3 years together, I NEVER cheated on her, even though I was in many situations when girls tried doing smth with me, I denied saying I have a GF and that we can't do shit and moved on.
I'm willing to apologize to her 100% if I was wrong in both situations

It doesn’t help that our entire family is pretty religious so that intertwines with the conspiracies she believes. Not only believing what was mentioned prior, but her reasoning for any discrepancies and those people motive are always linked to demons.
Upfront I generally like my cousin. I don’t see her often and when I do, we try to avoid talking about those subjects because she knows I don’t believe anything she says and worry for her. In her eyes, I’m just not really religious (which I am not, at all but could never tell my family that) and that I’m too young and don’t have enough life experience to fully understand what she’s saying.
Okay so sorry for ranting but here the problem I need advice for, my cousins created a group chat for the younger generation of our family. They’re over 20 of us in here, only first cousins which includes my 13 year old sister.

But she’s so young and you can tell she’s just repeating the stuff she’s been told by her religious teachers and people on the internet (mostly her being homophobic and transphobic). I try to talk to her when I can but do it way less than before since she keeps threatening to tell my family I’m gay (I mean I am but never admit to it, she assumes it from me trying to talk to her)
So since, well at least I’ve notice, that a lot of people who fall for conspiracies are religious. I worry that my sister hate for certain group of people and her own well being will worsen since my cousin as been sending ransoms links and youtube videos to the chat. The content of which, I feel like my sister has been repeating. While I have been commenting on the validity of what she shares, I don’t fell like it’s doing much and honestly it’s tiering.

In an ideal system, we would have discussions between opposing sides where we're able to, through the process of dialog come to conclusions or at least create the lines of demarcation between certain issues. This isn't to say that democrats or Republicans are objectively wrong, as that's wholly a misnomer, and rejects the political ambitions and goals of political parties, but it has become increasingly popular to make relatively realistic sounding claims, and via the power of echo chambers and repetition make said claims appear as a form of truth. Himmler mentioned the effectiveness of this propaganda method, but ATM it's deployed by both us parties.
I think what would be useful is a scalable and fair version of the following.
The creation of a university like body composed of non idiots of various political persuasions who act as a kind of meta thinktank to investigate and discuss online political claims. If found to be true, the collective body would be responsible, while sectioned to explain their verdict on the truthfulness of a situation. I’m uncertain if this is the root of my drug use, but I’ve been told by several more knowledgeable people in my life about how engaging in risky/dangerous behaviours is a less commonly talked about form of self harm. I recently had the thought (as I was using drugs, ironically) that there’s been a few times I’ve actively not wanted to do X drug as I was doing it, but consciously forced myself to for reasons that I’m not sure of. I don’t think it’s directly “take these drugs because you know they’ll cause you harm” more of an indirect impulse to self-destruct if anything, but I’m uncertain whether it’s self harm in my case as I do get the “pleasure” from it that comes with addiction. And I know addiction is another story, but what I mentioned about doing it against my wishes, as a sort of punishment, makes me wonder if this comes under self harm as well (I know they’re complex labels and definitely not mutually exclusive, but I hope what I’m trying to convey comes across). Has anyone experienced similar and/or have thoughts on this?

But several times over the years, she's made comments that suggests she thinks her brothers (24M, 22M, 20M)---who are also very religious and involved in her church---are waiting until marriage too and are virgins.
I don't know about the rest of her brothers, but I know for sure that one of her brothers (24M) isn't, and that's because I've been h**king up with him couple of times in the past few months. We didn't feel the need to tell her, because we thought it was private and it's not a full blown relationship anyway.
Long story about how we even got to this conversation topic anyway, but my friend was making comments last week about hoe she feels waiting is the best decision and was questioning my choice to not do so. Along the way she mentioned things about how she's sure her brothers don't watch p*rn, they're waiting too, and her naivete and kinda judgemental attitude irritated me so much that I told her then that I'm sure her brother is not a virgin because I've been with him before.

When everything went down I honestly didn’t know who to believe because I was a follower of JK for YEARS and I was also a follower of you for about a year. Now I realize and see through Messica’s lies and I feel so stupid for not noticing sooner as someone in recovery myself. I’m on this sub because I want JK to hold herself accountable, I know she sees this subreddit. Ironic how she deleted her video of her being diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder. That’s very telling, especially now. I’m also on this sub because I feel like an idiot. “Following”/“supporting” someone on the internet who is the complete 180 of who they are in real life saddens me and maybe other users on here can agree. As (ex) addicts, we are smart. We can smell BS. I feel as though I’m finally not alone in feeling so betrayed. On Tik Tok, she never thanks her followers in her lives for any gifts sent. She’s never been thankful or shown genuine gratitude. I’m sure Spider-Man 4 will bring us a more grounded Spider-Man story and I hope we learn a little bit about what happened when Peter was bit by the spider; where had it come from? There’s apparently no Oscorp in the MCU (as mentioned in No Way Home), so was the spider created by Alchemax? Does Fisk have something to do with it? or maybe the shady tech company owned by Mephisto that’s rumored to play a big role going forward?

I have been hired by Hermes to arrange the matches to prevent the Greek Gods from getting any Ls. The humans will have the same fighters in the same order, whereas I can rearrange the fighters for the Gods in any order. However, I cannot change their personalities (like make Shiva stop fucking around with his opponents)
Round 1: Thor vs Lu Bu. Lu Bu is an enormously strong opponent, and I'm not certain if any of the Gods who lost their matchups can defeat him.
Round 2: Zeus vs Adam. Adam's Eyes of the lord are too vague for me to prescribe a different matchup. Could he copy Chaos? Imitate divine weapons? Either way, it's too much of a risk for me to move Zeus, much as I'd like to (Zeus wins every other matchup).
Round 3: Hades vs Kojiro Sasaki. Unlike Poseidon, Hades will fight seriously from the start, and the damaging wind from his attacks will quickly batter Sasaki. Additionally, he is much more durable than his brother, and can actually switch up his attack style.
Round 4: Zerofuku/Hajun vs Jack the Ripper. Jack's antics and love for torturing his opponent will backfire against Zero, making him more miserable than ever before. This will make the misery cleaver obscenely powerful, letting Zero destroy buildings with ease and summon homing blades to take Jack down. If that fails, Hajun with his unreadable soul will definitely mess with Jack, and Hajun's strength, speed, and ability to manipulate his body make him an overall stronger fighter than Heracles, who would have won if he wanted to.
Round 5: Shiva vs Raiden. I simply don't trust Shiva to not do something stupid like eating a full-powered sky ripper.
Round 6: Buddha vs Heracles. Heracles doesn't deserve to die, and besides Adam, Buddha is the only human who would think of sparing Heracles. Also, Buddha's future sight makes him a bitch to take down, especially with his absurd durability and ridiculously tenacious nature that allowed him to overcome his worst counter. Even matches he should lose like Poseidon could go his way if Buddha lets himself get hit to get at Poseidon. Speaking of Poseidon . . .
Round 7: Poseidon vs Qin. Poseidon is simply far too fast for Qin, and reflecting one of his attacks will do relatively little. Poseidon may be hit by the bubbles, but he can easily retreat to protect himself.
Round 8: Beelzebub versus Tesla, cause Beez can win this.
With this, the Gods have won Ragnarok, but Hermes kills me because Heracles lost. Oopsie doopsie.

2- She can be played both as a Goalie and Forward, but her main role is Goalie. That's mainly because her high mobility and decent area control.
3- As a Goalie, you should go for Eject Button. Strike shot is also fine, but it's way too defensive for my playstyle. You want speed more as a Forward since it's really hard and ineffective to play like a brawler, so both Magnetized Soles and Slick Kicks are good.
4- I'm not a pro player or something like that, so you better watch other guides for more information about awakenings etc. but I think the current meta is Eject Button + Twin Drives + Chrono/Surge/Aerials with some creation buffs right now. So you can jump into everywhere in map, with almost no cooldown and still keep your goal safe.

In this guide I'm going to break down how much Style EXP you earn from NPC fights and what you can do to earn Style EXP more efficiently. There will be spoilers for World Tour Mode from here on out.
Calculating Style EXP rewards for NPC fights is both simple and complicated. In simplest terms, the formula is:
Style EXP reward = NPC level x N
So what is N? N is a hidden multiplier that has an inverse logarithmic relationship with NPC level. In simpler terms, As NPC levels increase, N decreases by exponentially smaller amounts. N is also different for hostile and non-hostile NPC's, and it's way larger for non-hostile NPC's. The fact that you fight hostile NPC's in groups does not compensate for this difference, so our first tip is: Don't Farm Hostile NPC's. They're simply way less efficient for farming Style EXP than non-hostile NPC's.
Anyway, since N decreases as NPC level increases, most NPC's in Metro City give roughly the same amount of Style EXP. However, once NPC's get past level 30, N will stabilize to about 3.5, and Style EXP rewards will increase steadily. Hence, our second tip is to Fight NPC's in Old Nayshall, as they will offer higher Style EXP rewards than NPC's in Metro City due to their higher levels.
There is also some food you can eat to increase the amount of Style EXP you earn, with the largest boost coming from the Bluberry Smoothie you can order through the Drone Delivery App. The Blueberry Smoothie increases the amount of Style EXP you earn by 20% for three minutes. However, it can only be ordered while you're in Metro City, so you will have to keep switching between Metro City and Old Nayshall to take efficient advantage of this boost.
If you fight an NPC that uses a Style, you will earn bonus Style EXP for that Style equal to 2.5 times the normal Style EXP reward for that NPC.
Lastly, if you max out a Style Rank, you can continue to earn Style EXP for that Style and then transfer that EXP to another Style. However, there is a 3:1 conversion rate for this transfer, so trying to earn all of your Style EXP with just one Style is quite inefficient. Hence, the next tip is, if you're trying to max out multiple Style Ranks, don't rush to max any of the out too quickly.
So, in summary, the most efficient way to farm Style EXP is to fight high-level NPC's in Old Nayshall that use Styles. However, you've probably already noticed that most NPC's don't use Styles and that you can't fight an NPC again for some time after you defeat them. - One of the best farming locations is Old Nayshall: Mount Vashal - Base. You'll find plenty of random NPC's hanging around at about lvl 42, but the big targets are Merchant Mello, Rewancha and Kalima. These are set NPC's with high levels who use JP, Marisa and Cammy's Styles respectively. Kalima in particular will always offer a huge Style EXP bonus for Cammy if you hit her with a 10-hit combo, which can be achieved easily with multi-hit specials or supers.
- In The Lowlands - South Area, you'll find Punch, Kilick and Milloy, three set NPC's that use Dee Jay, Manon and Ken's Styles, respectively. Kilick and Milloy have sizable Style EXP bonuses if you defeat them while above 75% HP.
- After you finish Retsu's questline he'll hang out at Genbu Temple. He uses Ryu's style and offers a bonus for hitting him with Super Arts.
- Eternity uses Juri's Style and hangs out next to the fast travel point for Old Nayshall - Central Bazaar.
- After you finish E. Honda's Master quests, his three new employees will hang out at Chanko House Edomon (Can't list their names because you can actually change their names by talking to them). They're all above level 30 and use Honda's Style. They also all offer bonus Style EXP if you trade hits with them, but there's no easy way to reliably trigger that.
- This is an odd one: go to Metro City at Night. Climb up to the headquarters of the Crows (where you meet Rudra). You'll find two set NPC's, Crows Wuya and Crows Corbeau. Neither of them use styles, but they will pay out bonus Style EXP for Chun Li, Jamie and Guile Lily, Zangief, Manon if you use combo attacks against Wuya and throws against Corbeau. This isn't necessarily efficient due to the time it takes to climb up to the Crows headquarters, but it is very easy.
- Chun Li's students in Hong Hu Lu Chinatown are generally way too low-level to be worth fighting, but Li-Fen and Lao-Tang have decent levels if you're looking for Chun Li's Style EXP.

So far Sonic rather knows better or not about how Heroes are strong aside from Ranks. Though in the Drama CD, Sonic underestimates the ones like Atomic Samurai and Tatsumaki way too much.

Good afternoon ladies. I just can’t deal with the pain today, plus all the secondary symptoms (nausea, dizzy, hot/cold flashes) I had a hysterectomy just shy of a year ago. They removed everything but my ovaries, the dr removed endo from between my rectum and vagina, both left and right abdomen walls, including a nodule on the right side. I felt amazing after surgery, started going off my pain meds as well. Did some pelvic floor physio, and still doing it. I was able to start back at work as well February first, and things were going great…… then I get a promotion at work, my bosses wanted to take a vacation before summer holidays start for the rest of staff. I knew all the cooking and how to order trucks for food. (small town restaurant) I was trained for take out and cash, I was not trained to serve. I was still on a slow back to work type of schedule. Then the bosses go for the holiday. They fail to inform the rest of the staff of my promotion, the day before they leave they put up a paper by the schedule. A lot of serving staff was mad. Even some kitchen staff (as I was this person who just started and now I’m in charge, I failed to mention as well I was a main cook being trained to be manager 2 years before but my health took a turn and I had to go on disability.) I ended up working 12 hrs shifts since staff literally didn’t show didn’t call nothing. I was put into an impossible situation. Then the bosses come back and they tell me, they expected that from some staff! I was pretty upset. Asked for a week off to recoup and get myself off my pain meds again (had to use them during the week they were away) I got 2 days to recoup. Then they expected me to continue working full time hours, since I managed it while they were away. Anyways long story short, I am now on disability again, ditched my car on the last snow/rain storm in Manitoba Canada, and all my pain is coming back. I feel like I have a period again, with how much cramping and pain I’m in minus the bleeding of course. I am so dizzy, and nauseous. The dr wants me to try hormonal therapy again, which really affects my mood. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I was set up to fail at work and I just can’t keep up with life any more. I am so down in dumps all the time. I try to push through but I think what’s the point a lot. Yes my family dr knows about my mental health at the moment, she has increased my meds. Things just suck and I feel like I’m failing everything. Being a mom, being a fiancée, being a hard worker, just being alive feels like failing right now. (I would never act on my feelings as my son needs me, his dad is out of the picture) Thanks for reading, I just needed somewhere to vent it out. This disease is horrible.

I had my baby Monday by c section. I've been pumping while still trying to figure out how to get her to latch without a nipple shield. The nurses said I've got great production? I constantly leak milk. The pads in my breast feeding tank tops constantly fill up or slip slightly to one side and then the milk goes everywhere when I nap. My clothes are covered. My blankets have milk all over them. My mattress. My pillows. When I'm trying to feed the baby its dripping everywhere. I'm using clothes trying to catch it all but it doesn't matter. I give the baby to my husband to top up with my pumped milk or formula and the baby is covered in milk from the opposite boob or her fighting the latch (I am feeding 5-10minutes per side with the shield each feeding). Its all over her diaper making that wet as well. My boobs hurt all the time and I don't want to wear bras. I dont even want to wear these tanktops with the built in but a large shirt or naked isn't going to keep the breast pads on. I cant get in with my towns lactation consultant for 2 weeks and the nurses were at a loss as to why she wouldnt latch. She was 3 weeks early. I dont have inverted nipples. They said my boobs might just be too big, nipples not out enough with not enough give around them to get it in her small mouth. Her chin was tiny when she was born but i read it develops in the last 3 weeks and it does seem to be becoming more pronounced, maybe the chin is the issue? No ones mentioned her small chin to me, its just an observation. Is there something I dont know about for the leaking milk or any advice for the above?

Setup at previous house:
We moved from a townhouse community into a house on May 25th. During our time at the townhouse, we got a really good deal on fibre 1gbps internet ($55/mo) so we switched from Shaw to a new 2-year contract which was set to expire in January 2024. We also signed up for a 2-year ADT home security contract like a week before they got bought and that contract was set to expire this October, so it's almost up.Moving to the new house:
We set-up an internet/security install appointment two weeks in advance for the 26th, the day after our move date (because for some reason they don't do same-day installs). We had two different appointments (the 26th and then the 30th where the install technician didn't call or contact us in any way, just I guess told Telus they can't install fibre in our location...we later found out it was some issue with the city and the fibre box). We had to call Telus both times to reschedule the appointments and make sure that someone was ACTUALLY coming to install our internet. This is a problem for us because my wife and I both work from home and ate up our phone data hot-spotting for the week to work. Anyways, our third appointment was scheduled for 6/2, and I called to expedite our appointment since we seemed to be getting screwed on this, and spoke to an escalation supervisor who said they'd try to get us a technician dispatched on Wednesday or Thursday and said to be available all day on those days for install (and promises of some nebulous mystery compensation for our ordeal). Thursday afternoon rolls around we get a call saying the next available technician date would be Sunday (6/4)...so our escalation actually got deferred somehow. Thankfully, our internet actually got installed on Sunday and the technicians did a great job, but we're basically paying the same price now for copper 50mpbs.We just got our first bill:
We received our first bill today and here is what Telus is trying to do:- They started a new 2-year contract for our internet with the copper pricing, which I believe goes up to $110/month after the promotion period. I can't even find this deal on the website, it doesn't even make sense since the 250mbps is $80/month. It also has a data cap on it of 450gb/month which we have to add as 'extra' to make it unlimited, which is pretty messed up since our previous contract had unlimited baked into it.
- They cancelled our home security service without authorization (which ends in October) and want us to pay a $600 cancellation fee. Unmentioned in my above paragraph, the install appointments got separated for internet/home security and they've now missed two install appointments for home security install with no contact...I just haven't followed up on the second one yet. It may also be worth mentioning that I have all the equipment together for home security.
