• Brinkley Glen Park: Invasive Plant Removal. Join Master Gardener Volunteers at this weekly invasive plant removal event. This is a great way to learn to ID our invasive plant species and how to remove them. We recommend wearing long pants and sleeves, closed-toed shoes, gloves, a hat and mosquito spray. Bring gardening tools such as hand clippers, loppers, trowels, etc. if you have them. We are removing coral ardisia bushes and berries, nandina, tung trees, Tradescantia flumenensis, cat's claw vine, winged yam, Japanese climbing fern, skunkvine and more. Directions: The best way to get there is to take Meridian Rd to Waverly Rd, go to the next intersection and turn left onto Abbotsford Way, then turn left at the next road called Woodside Dr. At the stop sign turn left onto Lothian. Lothian ends in a cul-de-sac and there is a sign that says Brinkley Glen Park. 8:30am-11:30am

Vernon is a new CCC member who’s been biking for 50 years enjoys riding with small groups and weekend touring. 10am

I was reading Record of Wortenia War. Book 1 was 266 pages. I did not pay attention until after Book 11 but I realized I was finishing each successive book faster and faster. Assuming I wasn’t reading faster, I checked and Book 11 is only 149 pages. Reviewing the previous volumes I found that each volume dropped in size from Book 1. Looking at 12, 13, 14 page count continues to drop. Book 15 is only 133 pages.
What frustrates me about this is that the price of each book has not changed. Is it crazy to feel slighted by this? It feels like they broke a single chaptestory arc into multiple shorter books to inflate the number of volumes and increase their profits.
I have not seen this in other series like Ascendance of a Bookworm & Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

first of all, I thought this was for people who were in the obese/morbidly obese category, but I’ve seen a lot of people on it, who really should not be on it, but kind of should be on it. Maybe they need to lose 40 lbs to go from the morbidly obese category to obese category.
My friend is on it, but she’s actually a diabetic using it + her regular insulin. My Dad is a diabetic & having problems with weight gain due to illness & change in job - he went from walking constantly to driving constantly and Long COVID -
I lost 40 lbs in my own, but have medical problems that prevent me from exercising as much as I could before. I just need to lose 40 lbs, I’m borderline obese.
However, I’ve been seen celebrities using it when they don’t need it.
I was under the assumption you had to jump through hoops to get it, but is that the case or does money make it happen?
Also, to lose 40 lbs, I don’t want Ozempic face…but would it be worth it for me medically? My biggest issue is I can’t exercise as much as other ppl do….so I maintain my weight.

I (22NB) have been struggling mentally for quite some time now. I’ve recently sought out to get help because I don’t want to remain like this. My family is the “mental health/depression is fake” type of family. They say they’ve changed but I know they haven’t. Throughout this whole time, my partner (22m) has been so supportive with me. (We’ve been together for a little over a year and a half). Sometimes too supportive (and I get I sound like an AH for saying that), but there have been times where I caused issues for us in our relationship (whether something simple or something big as financial issues) and he’d always reassure me that it was okay. Although I loved and appreciated every time he said that to me, I would have once - just once, wanted him to smack reality into me.
Lately he’s been struggling (he’s always struggled, but it’s gotten worse these past 6-8 months). I’ve always been supportive, providing an ear, and space when he needed it. I’d always advise to seek help but he’d deny it because his family is like mine (which I completely get) so I’d never force it and have only brought it up once or twice. For the past month or two - whenever he’d had a down day, I’d offer to take him out. Whether we just go out on a walk, we go out to eat or I have him over with me. He always denied and decides to stay home, which is fine, I just give him space and let him know that I’m always a text/call away.
I feel awful saying this but I want to be able to one day talk to his parents about his mental health without his knowledge. My reasons: 1. I’m genuinely afraid of losing him. Not in the sense of breaking up but I’m afraid of losing him to his own thoughts 2. If I ask him to talk to his parents with me or on his own - he’ll deny because of their stance on mental health which again, I understand.
His mental state is declining very quickly. He’s gone from the happiest & strongest guy (with some struggles) that I know to a guy who never has the motivation to go to work or leave his room anymore. Who’s losing interest in his favorite hobbies or activities. Who has been sleeping so very much but also getting poor sleep at the same time.
Part of me feels like sitting down and talking with his parents will give them a real smack into how they’re treating him. How he needs help. The other part of me knows this will break a sense of trust with him. That this might not even help his situation and his parents might treat him even worse. That I could lose him to both a breakup and to his thoughts.
Any advice? Please feel free to smack some sense into me too or if I’m being an AH.
TLDR: I want to talk to my partners parents without his knowledge because his mental health is becoming concerning. I’m worried about the outcome and if this is the right choice.

So I have noticed something odd about Seraphine's quotes. Some of them sound kind of sinister, almost like they are quotes more suitable for Jhin than Seraphine.

"One day, the music will stop. Better dance while you can!"

I imagine this could be something Jhin would say as he gradually wears his tortured victims down until the end.
 

"Hey! Wanna hear your song?"

Jhin could say this to his opponents, referring to their agonisising screams as he shoots at them.

She has developed a mental disorder, likely PTSD or schizophrenia where she keeps on hearing the screams of her victims. She knows that she will always hear their screams and that she will never be able to get rid of them.

She drags her next victims closer to her so she can highlight their final moments of agonising pain.
 
She does seem like this wholesome person at first, but we must remember that she shares a lot of the same traits as Jhin. Perhaps Seraphine is Jhin's new personality after escaping from the prison? Jhin is a psychopath and should easily be able to change his personality to attract new victims, but his true colours will always hide in the shadows.

Yes i know this is gonna be a nuclear take but they shouldn't. In PLA i got 2 fulll boxes of different colors without even trying. That was way to easy. If they would have done it in sv we would have gotten way to easy color changes for ~382 pokemon. It didn't require any skill and it would have been awful for the already bad performance in sv. Not having a sound actually makes you look if there is a difference. And it would be horrible to hear a sparkle sound only to not find it.

Hello. I need to get my sex changed on my state ID and birth certificate. I've tried to call my local clerk of court and just keep getting told I need an attorney because it's "more difficult and more paperwork than I think it will be". They wont give me details. I just want to pay for the court order and already have the letter from my specialist. I've read that all I need is a letter of recommendation and a court order to get this changed. I have no idea how to proceed or who to call. I would love any advice someone may have on this. This is in South Carolina. Thank you all for any advice.

So I’m hacking away at an IKEA standing lamp and used the physical switch as input to a sonoff r1 running tasmota through homebridge.
I then had to create 4 automation to reproduce an acceptable behaviour. - if switch off > lamp off - if switch on > lamp on - if lamp off > switch off - if lamp on > switch on
This sounds sub optimal. Mind you it works (with a bit of delay) but I find it ugly.
I expected to find an automation like “state change” instead of explicitly setting a state (on/off). This is terrible UX.
Also the automations can be very slow to execute and unreliable at best. I’m suspecting wifi performance can be improved but still… the WiFi relay is super snappy via homebridge so I’m not sure.

Hello, I’m new to this stuff so despite having searched a bit I still have some questions, hopefully you can help me out.
Just like the title says I want to use Lan-Play on my Switch with CFW, since I just recently learned that’s a possibility, I thought I could only use online in any way on my OFW side of the Switch.
I saw a guide of how to set it up, and I need to do some stuff on my pc(iMac) apparently but I don’t understand why? What are the lines of code changing or doing on Terminal? And is it changing the IP address of my router, pc or what exactly? I understand changing it on the Switch, I guess it’s just I don’t understand the need of the other part of the process.

Hello experts! I am a Ph.D. student working with blood pressures in the blood brain barrier as a part of my project. Lets say that the blood pressure at the heart is measured to be 120 mmHg. What equation should I use to estimate the change in pressure up to, let’s say, the middle of the brain? Let’s assume I do not know the flow rate, so the Poiseuille equation cannot be used (two unknown variables, flow rate and the pressure difference).
Can I assume the pressure difference to be the 120 mmHg, subtracted by the gravitational potential energy (pgh) that was zapped from the blood flow to make it up to the brain?
I know there is also a change in the blood vessel diameter and there is intercranial pressure in the head that further slows down blood flow. Would these need to be accounted for too?

If someone switches from a very carb-heavy diet to a very protein-heavy diet, all else the same (including calorie intake) what kind of changes would you expect to see in their body? Would they naturally lean out and put on muscle even without lifting?

Just a quick note to say that unfortunately I have to update the analysis to say that I now think 1240 has a 10-15% chance of passage.
If it gets voted out of committee tomorrow I’d up that number to 33% or one in three.
The reason is a change to the fiscal note that may allow the bill to skip the step of getting routed through the fiscal committee.
REVISED FISCAL NOTE SHIFTS COST TO CITIES
I read a newly revised fiscal note today and while the bill still carries a cost of $1.2M, that cost is redirected to the local governments instead of being funded by the legislature.
Therefore it wouldn’t be part of this years budget process, therefore it doesn’t need to go through Ways and Means. Nice right?
Anyway…this may have been done to facilitate a quicker path. In my earlier posts I pointed out that sponsors would be kicking themselves about a fiscal note getting pinned to the bill. It looks like they may have shaken free of this requirement.
As a result, one entire step is (likely) removed in the process. There could be some debate about whether this revised fiscal bill is proper i don’t know.
1240 TO BE AMENDED IN COMMITTEE 3/23?
That said, there is an amendment prepared for tomorrow’s hearing. It looks like the bill sponsor is going to try and clean up some language. You can check that out on the bill’s page just google HB 1240 WA. The amendment will open up the bill to further debate and the possibility of further proposed amendments, which could make things a little messier.
All in all, for this bill to have a good chance of passing this session, it probably needs to get voted out of committee following the hearing tomorrow. Let’s see if that happens. If it does, we’re looking at an increased likelihood of passage and if things get to a one in three shot that’s when I’d start buying.

HOUSE R ON THE THREE GUN BILLS
In the meantime here’s an interview with House Republican Rep Jim Walsh on the gun bills. He basically says what we know: that the lawsuit bill is the main focus and likely to pass in some form as the Rs see some middle ground to work with the Ds on that one. He bluntly states there is no middle ground on 1240 and says that even the Gov knows it’s just “photo op legislation” that would be quickly overturned if passed. (idk about quickly but whatever).

i'm looking for good CPU to play with 4070ti, 1080p mainly competetive games. Currently in my country, 7700x is almost the same price as 13600kf.
Which one should i get? A lot of benchmarks shows that 7700x is worse by about 5-10%, others show that AMD is better.
Pros of the amd platform; longer support, future upgrades.
I won't be planning changing my CPU in about 3-4 years.

Now that this season has been out for awhile and nothing has changed I feel like I need to complain and see if other people are experiencing this. I only play with the same 2 people. Last season we might see some people that had a few hundred more kills than us. Now we are constantly seeing people with thousands to tens of thousands of kills, masters trails, prestige skins, heirlooms and levels far exceeding ours. To put it into perspective all of us are are between level 100-200, our mains have 150-300 kills, last season I had a k/d of .84 that being the best of my group. This season my k/d is at .3. We haven't won an encounter in multiple days.
Is anyone else experiencing anything like this? Its frustrating getting absolutely bodied by the first person you run into every single match.
The only explanation I can think of is team death match telling the match making system we were winning every other match or getting 12 kills a match. TDM shouldn't have anything to do with the skill level of the main game

So I work away in another country been away for about 4 months.
Booked a cruise for me and the wife for when I'm home (are first holiday without the kids twins girls 5) I sent her a website and asked if she wanted to pick out some lingerie.
