My girlfriend and I need some help. Hoping someone here has some ideas because the doctors we have been to have not been very helpful.
My girlfriend is 50 years old, Caucasian, identifies as female, 5’5”, 170 lbs. She is a non smoker and has a history of asthma and hypothyroidism. She takes 88mcg levothyroxine daily. No other medical issues.
About a year ago, my girlfriend started to have red marks and welts all over her body - hands, neck, arms, torso, legs, feet, and face.
We thought maybe she had a reaction to something. This went on for a few days - mostly, she would wake up with these but sometimes the marks/welts would appear during the day. These marks can itch sometimes - they mostly itch when the marks are on her hands.
She went to the Dermatologist. They determined that the marks were actually bites. They gave her some medicine to try but it didn’t help. She went to he dermatologist two more times - they didn’t give any answers. Just said to try the medicine again.
Important to note: I don’t have bites. This has been going on for nearly a year.
We have tried a lot of things:
-Sulphuric cream and soap multiple kinds -Ivermectin x2 -Permethrin -Teatree soap -Clove oil -Spray for fabrics -Antibiotics -Lots of laundry and showers -Pine tar soap -Alcohol -Steroid cream for itch -Biopsy positive for arthropod non specific -Been to ED, urgent care, regular doc, dermatologist twice

hi, so this is more of an explanation to get some advise because I don't know what to do. but know for the actual story...
So I ( female 40 ) have a husband of ten years ( 42 male) and we've had a great marriage up until now. For some background story we had our wedding then we had our two kids ( 10 and 12 ) after we moved to another country for 5 years then moved back to our original country. When we moved to the other country it was because of family problems and there my husband made his own company. But in current time it's doing more harm than good costing a lot of money but bringing in 0 money. And on the second year of living in the original country he made another company, again causing more harm than good, costing thousands and bringing in 0 money so I had to stop financing that too because I can't afford to pay for everything. I on my own have to pay for everything, cars, clothes ,bills, taxes, vacation and the gifts my husband buys me are also payed with my money. I've been telling him to get a job for a whole year if not longer and he still has nothing. He won't give up with his two companies and I can't pay all of it he's costing me"dum money" (for reference he's always buying things online, I have to pay for his car too that he barely ever use ) and it pisses me off because I have to sacrifice that money instead of buying myself nice things once in a while. Now don't get me wrong I have a great salary and can easily support the family. But I just don't think it's fair that even if I'm the one making money that I can't have anything for myself when he is totally capable of having a job and bringing in money too. The worst is that he barely ever comes out of the house and his mental state is not good, he gets angry for no reason and yells at the smallest little things. Now I don't want to divorce him because I love him. The problem is I just don't know what to do.

That most people believe that sexism is more common towards women than men, but not sooo much more common. Maybe 70/30 or 60/40. And that most people believe that sexism towards men is not just a thing as backlash because of sexism towards women
That most people believe that sexism is not about hating women, it was about men exerting physical strength to get roles of power through history. But that women were not seen as inferior, lesser, nor incapable. That traditional roles were seen as different, but equal. So women raised families and had an important role doing that. While men worked. And women weren't seen to be catering to men, serving men, owned and controlled by men, nor defined by their relationships to men. Because men were expected to marry and serve their wife and kids by working too. And some men may have wanted to spend more time with their kids
That most don't believe that men objectify women while women don't objectify men. Nor that women respect and treat men better. Nor that women/girls want friendships with men/boys and gay BFFs, while men want sex from women and no friendships
That most don't believe that women nor girls are attracted to men in a more well rounded way than men and boys are attracted to women, nor that "men only want one thing", nor that if you took sex away, men would prefer men in all other ways and see them as superior
That most don't believe that women in Muslim countries or women through history like men more than the men like women nor treat them better
That most think violence towards women is not about hating women but about power, control, testosterone, and women being easier targets due to being physically weaker. And that the same men who commit d omestic violence would also be the types to start pub fights with other men, or to target kids
That most people don't think that women nor girls hate each other, compete, get jealous, form cliques and put each other down, while men have stronger bonds, friendships and camaraderie. They instead think that women mostly support each other
That most people don't think that men who do female jobs, hobbies and roles are held to lower standards, supported, praised and celebrated for the bare minimum, for the novelty of being men. While women who do male jobs/roles are held to higher standards and have to prove themselves/are not supported and praised as easily. Also that most people don't think that all workplaces like the police are a big boy's club and they also think there are places where it's a girl's clubs too
Also that most don't think that women are held to higher behavioural and physical standards/expectations than men nor judged harsher for being flawed or unlikeable, etc. Nor that female celebs and characters are trolled/threatened, bullied and hated more online than male ones are
That most people don't think that men prefer and need father figures, male role models and male idols and lead characters, while women can appreciate either gender in all of those things.
And that most don't think that women support, praise and celebrate gay men/the men of LGBT more than they do lesbians/the women of LGBT and more than men support, praise and celebrate lesbians. And that most don't think boomer humour and comedy is about men hating their wives while their wives don't hate them nor do most think that teen girls are boy crazy, write in diaries about boys and love boybands...while teen boys don't have the equivalents.
What do you think?
Why does the online world say differently? And also how do women and f eminists stay attracted to men while believing that women like men more and in a more well rounded way and that take sex away and there's not much left keeping men interested in women? That's the biggest turn off to me, reading online put me off men for life. I mean why would you be okay with unrequited love or imbalanced love from one gender to another? Being okay with finding the needle in the haystack is pathetic. People online made me reclusive/avoid people and not wanting to associate with people ever again. I won't accept being surrounded by a society where most believe and accept it.

Television: The Australian-Born Actor Has Succeeded By Appealing Equally to Men and Women.

Julian McMahon can be a perfect gentleman. And he can be a total goof.
During a break in his trailer on location with "Profiler," the NBC dramatic series in which he plays FBI Det. John Grant, the strikingly handsome Australian-born actor dissolves into a mock, aristocratic mode.
"I love life. I love the whole breathing thing," he declares, drawing in his cheeks, rolling his eyes. "I love breathing in, I love breathing out."
Earlier, on the set, located this day in downtown Los Angeles in an old meat-packing house configured to look like an artist's loft, he greets visitors with kisses on both cheeks.
"Did they roll out the red carpet for you?" he asks, smiling brilliantly, gesturing broadly as if to say, "All this is mine, welcome to my palace."
His "palace" is the less-than-glamorous warehouse floor, packed with cast and crew—and McMahon is not the star of the show or the center of attention. But McMahon—his over-the-top personality and 6-foot-2 frame aside—has the kind of acting chops that colleagues say could help him emerge from "Profiler's" largely ensemble cast.
"When you meet him, there is an innate charm and likability, a 'regular guy' kind of thing," says Stephen Kronish, who joined "Profiler" as executive producer this fall. "He has the ability and the physical package that casting people look for. If you can get men to want to go out and have a beer with you and get women to want to jump into bed with you, that's a pretty good mix. He's got that quality."
While many Americans may not be familiar with McMahon, the 30-year-old Sydney native is a household name in his home country and the United Kingdom. His father, Sir William McMahon, spent a lifetime in politics, the high point as prime minister of Australia from 1971 to 1972. And in the early '90s, the actor starred in "Home and Away," a successful Australian soap opera with a huge international audience.
Then too there was the media swarm that followed McMahon during his courtship of and marriage (in 1994) to his "Home and Away" co-star, Australian singer-actress Dannii Minogue, sister of pop star, Kylie. They divorced three years later, as her career took her to London and his to New York, where he landed a role as Ian Rain on NBC's daytime drama "Another World."
Although McMahon, who has been with "Profiler" since its debut in 1996, has a key role, the way his character is constructed in the high drama formula doesn't allow much opportunity for him to flex his acting muscles. For three seasons, the show has followed the lives of forensic psychologist Dr. Samantha "Sam" Waters (Ally Walker) and the FBI's Atlanta-based Violent Crimes Task Force, which investigates serial killing crimes across the country. Sam's mentor, Bailey Malone (Robert Davi), heads the task force, which includes McMahon's character.
The thriller's hook is that Sam possesses the ability to "think in pictures" in order to "profile"—and thereby identify—this very specific breed of killers.
McMahon's character can be hot-headed or sober at the flip of a switch. There is his scowling intensity when he's face to face with--or gunning down--a psycho killer. But there's not much emotional range for the detective, who's a professionally driven loner. John Grant has a bit of sarcastic humor, and he more often than not goes for the jugular rather than the niceties of interrogation techniques, but that's about it.
Generally, the character is immutable, unreadable. However, there have been moments when McMahon's been able to convey sensitivity.
In one episode this season, a serial killer has a gun pointed at Grant's head. She's a cop who's been killing--and castrating--men who don't comply with police investigations. Forced to his knees, Grant gives an impassioned, but calculated, speech: "You were everything a father could want in a daughter, but that wasn't good enough . . . " his eyes searching, his voice cracking. He closes his eyes for a moment, and then she turns the gun on herself.
McMahon actually has little in common with the enigma he has been given to portray on "Profiler."
"He's very sensitive, full of enthusiasm and positive energy," notes Davi, who adds that he's formed an older brother type of relationship with his co-star. He recounts how McMahon spent time with his family and young daughters when Davi's wife was ill. "He's like the Australian Roberto Benigni, with warmth and generosity."
"Baywatch" star Brooke Burns, who has been dating McMahon for five months, echoes the sentiment.
"He's very masculine and, at the same time, very tender-hearted," says the 21-year-old actress. "He really cares about people, he's genuine."
On the set, in counterpoint to the scene being taped--in which a female agent discovers she is being stalked--McMahon is hamming it up off camera, pretending to swallow pills on the kitchen counter, slashing the air with a kitchen knife Zorro-style, kicking up his heels.
When the scene is over, he slips into a Mafioso character: "It was good for me. Was it good for you?"
"Part of this job as an actor is to look as intense as you can," McMahon says later. "I have to laugh. I get the giggles, like back in school."
At least once this season he's been allowed to laugh—during a guest spot on the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace," playing a steaming hunk who rekindles Grace's emotional fire.
"Creatively, it was fascinating," he says. "They're really spontaneous on the set."
On the Saturday following the taping, McMahon is at his Hollywood home, an eclectic place located directly underneath the Hollywood sign.
"As a kid I didn't even know about Hollywood. I was into school, sports, friends and my family," he says, his speech still slightly flavored by Australia. "But then I remember going and seeing 'Star Wars' and thinking that was amazing, that for two hours, it put me totally somewhere else."
The second of three children, he traveled at an early age to places like Buckingham Palace and the White House and was at home when his parents entertained. Though the family was close, McMahon did not spend much time with his much older and politically involved father. That changed when his father was diagnosed with cancer. The two formed a tight bond until his death in 1988.
"It was difficult because I had just found this best friend, an 80-year-old man, and he was just taken from me," he recalls. "My dad was the kind of person who would treat everybody the same, a really wonderful trait that he passed on to me without my knowing it."
He also inherited his father's sense of humor, according to McMahon's mother Lady Sonia, a leading society figure in Australia.
"Julian was always joking around and the life of the party," she says by phone. "Not that I ever thought it would lead to something like this."
There were hints. McMahon started modeling when he was 17, after a university stint. Heading off for Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Rome and Paris, he wanted to make a name for himself. He went from modeling to the daytime soaps, then prime time. He hopes serious movie roles will be next. During the 1997 series hiatus, McMahon appeared in "In Quiet Night," an independent film that never made it to theatrical release, and this summer, he will continue reading for feature film parts.
"I hate labels, but people put you in a box or category, that's how they are. But you can't allow yourself to get in that box," he says.
Nevertheless, for a while most people will connect McMahon with the distant Det. Grant. This week, NBC announced that "Profiler" would be back for another season in the fall.
Part of the network's "thrillogy" Saturday evening lineup, the show has been a hit among adults 18-49 and women 25-54, and the 1997-98 season gave NBC its first time period win in five years among adults 18-49 on the night. But McMahon knows that the television life cycle can be short—and he's prepared for his run on "Profiler" to end.
Says McMahon: "You have to have the ability to pick yourself up and go on when things don't go right."

Yesterday, just after my husband left to catch a flight, I noticed he had left his laptop open, and when I was turning it off I saw an icon on the screen labeled with his pet/private name for me. Right or wrong, curiosity won, and I clicked it, to find perhaps several hundred pics, and a few sex videos starring....ME. After the shock and confusion settled enough, I scrolled through them start to finish.
The weird mix of reactions I'm experiencing is bothering me as much, or even more than the discovery itself. I feel "peeped on" and objectivified, yet sexy and appreciated that if he's using these to get off to, he's fantasizing about his own WIFE at least. Here's all the pertinent background/possibly relevant info I've got...I don't know how to lay out a list, so I'll just string them together ---
Married five years, second for both, me widowed, him divorced, no kids. Both recently retired, financially comfortable. Very much best friends and in love. Blessed. Computer graphics and drawing etc is a hobby of his. Him leaving his screen open just when he when would be away for three days might have been intentional, he never ever leaves his computers unsecured. The pics get more and more realistic during the approximately six months it looks like he's been doing this. The newest ones are so realistic you wouldn't know they weren't me. The videos are newer the newer ones, and more primitive.
It's obvious the original pics are from you-know-what pic sites.My face has replaced the actual women, and my one tiny tattoo has even been put on "me" accurately. He must have waded through tons of pics, as my body type and age are specially chosen. He appears to have found/settled on one woman with exactly my figure and coloring for all but the earliest pics. This somehow seems violating (to her) in a way the random pics don't. Hmmm.
Saving the biggest issue for last...ALL the pics are from what are clearly wife-sharing and group activities, and/or VERY female submissive acts. This is my primary concern, as it is extremely relevant to very secret things I shared with him about my previous marriage. If he's getting off by by inserting himself via imagination into my past, to get off to, I just wish he had shared the notion first.

For context, I am a 19 year old autistic college student who is currently on summer break. I have been saving up money and recently got a female golden retriever puppy who is about 9 weeks old now. My plan (which I am realizing now may backfire massively, so bear with me) was to train obedience as well as I could over the summer, so that she would be well behaved enough to live in my dorm with me during the school year as an ESA while I begin training her to be a service dog. I was fully prepared that she needed to "be a puppy" for a while before we start official SD training, which is fine.
Before anyone comes for me about the legality of this-- I have been in contact with my school's disability office and they approved the whole thing 100%. I am not breaking any rules by having her in my dorm.
I was not fully prepared for how puppies are. I had been told about the biting and the sleepless nights and everything, but it's so much worse than I imagined. I am terrified that it will never get better and that I'll be kicked out of my dorm because she is loud or poorly behaved. (The size of the dorm is not an issue--we have one of the larger ones, and she will be crate trained and given several long walks/exercise sessions per day) I'm going to be moving back to college when she's about 19 weeks old. I realize this was a poor plan, I don't need to hear how horribly I planned this. Everyone in my life thought it would be fine as well. I just need advice so that we have a chance of not completely crashing and burning when we move in. My girlfriend helps me sometimes, but I can't expect her to be here all the time as we don't live together in the summers. Also, this puppy was my idea and is my responsibility, so it would be unfair to ask her to do more than her fair share of help.
First issue (the biggest one): biting. She's a golden retriever, and they're mouthy, so I expected it. However, her bite inhibition is non-existent. She bites any time she gets excited or playful, and she bites hard and doesn't let go. Sometimes she even shakes my arms back and forth like a toy. I am covered (and I mean covered) in scratches and bruises and scars. I've tried literally everything. The "yelp and ignore" method doesnt work, she thinks I'm making a "play noise" and continues to bite any part of me she can reach. Putting her in her pen sometimes calms her down, but sometimes it doesn't, and I can't always get her into it; for example, if I'm upstairs. The pen is downstairs, and I can't carry her (bites my face, neck, and shoulders) and I can't let her walk down the stairs with me (bites my ankles and feet). I don't want to fall on her or drop her (I have a coordination disorder that worsens when I'm overwhelmed). I also don't want her to see the pen as punishment, but that's exactly what it is. She can't go in the bathroom or in any other rooms without supervision, because they're not nearly puppy proofed enough and probably couldn't be without some remodeling. The biting is so bad that she won't be distracted by toys or treats or anything. Even if I am screaming and crying in pain (which happens often), she keeps biting me. My girlfriend advises me to stay quiet and stand up, which is what she does, but I can't do that. Being autistic, for me personally, means that pain is very overwhelming. My brain shuts down whenever she bites me and all I can do is cry. I feel terrible because I yell at her and try to pull her off me and I don't want that to damage our bond.
Second issue, possibly also a huge issue for the fall: sleeping.
I know she'll sleep through the night eventually. I'm totally fine with waking up to take her out. However, we have a really strange issue with her personal schedule. I try to take her out for "last call" at around 10:30, but she's usually sleepy starting around 9 so I wake her from a nap to go out and she has been going back to sleep no issue. She then sleeps until about 3:30, when she cries to go outside. I have been trying to wake up before she does, but it hasn't been working very well. The issue is this: after I take her out around that time, she will not go back to sleep. She cries loudly, to the point where I would call it screaming, even if she pottied outside and doesn't need anything. If she does fall asleep, she wakes right back up around 4:30 or 5 and screams until 6. 6 is our official wake up time, and it's also when she gets fed. Last night, she cried and paced from 4 to 6 without stopping. Snuffle mats and Kongs only keep her occupied for a little bit, then she's back to the crying. I can't let her cry it out in a college dorm--I will get kicked out. I also need sleep. I don't care about waking up for 15 minutes to take her out, but two hours straight of listening to her cry is insane. What can I do to stop this?? She has slept through the night once in the time I've had her, but I have no clue what made that night different.
Third issue: Chewing.
Can't get her to stop chewing on things. I know it's normal, but will it kind of sort of get better by the time she's 19 weeks old? Is there anything I can do to prevent her from chewing on the furniture in my dorm that is the property of the college if she hasn't stopped chewing by then?
Fourth issue: Crate Training.
I see a lot of posts saying that you need to work up to them being in their crate for a long time. So then how do you crate a puppy for sleeping until they've worked up to it? I am terrified that it is a negative experience for her and will cause aversion in the future, but she needs to be in her crate at night.
Fifth issue: I am terrified that she hates me because of all of this. This is possibly my biggest fear so far.
She spends the most time around me. She's supposed to bond to me because she will be my service dog if her training goes well. But it seems like she can't behave the majority of the time, so I'm always correcting her and picking her up and pulling her out of places/off of things and sticking my fingers in her mouth so she doesn't eat things that will hurt her. Not to mention yelling and crying when I get overwhelmed. I don't know what to do if she hates me. I love her very much.
Any advice at all would be much appreciated. Really struggling right now.

I’ve been wanting a sleeve for a while now. I love tattoos but actually only have two, even though I’m in my 40’s. I think that’s b/c I’m very picky. I love ink but I’m not putting anything on my body that I’m not confident I’ll want to keep forever. Sort of like taking your time dating before deciding who to marry.
Anyways, I have two pieces that are probably like 20 yrs old at this point. Had the work done at Rock of Ages by two different people who I don’t recall. They’re not complicated pieces. All black. A star on my left peck and a tribal thing at the top of my back. I want to incorporate these into a full left sleeve, maybe more.
I do have specific ideas about what I want included in this sleeve and generally where they should go, but I would like to consult with an artist to come up with designs. Of course, I’m paying for this time. My artistic ability is zero. I want to work with an expert. Time and money are easy hurdles to clear and won’t hold back this project. The main issue is the skill of the artist and their work fitting my personal preferences. I have no such skill myself. I can tell you what I like but I can’t actually create any of it.
I’m looking for recommendations on artists. I want the best. Someone with a portfolio they can share and that I’m impressed by. I don’t care if the artist is male or female. Despite the title and the room, I don’t actually care if they’re in Austin either, as I’d travel for the right person. Just seems like Austin probably has the artist for me and would make it easy to get this done. I expect it to take a long time to do.
For reference, these are the things I’m looking to incorporate into the sleeve. I may not actually have room for all this in one sleeve, so I’m very open to spreading some of this out to other areas of my body. Whatever looks best.

• Great Horned Owl w/ vivid gold eyes. The body would mostly likely be a black and white realistic, accurate sketch of the bird, but I’d be open to other ideas. I just know I want the vivid life-like gold eyes. Probably the main piece of the sleeve covering the left shoulder.
  
• “Justice, justice you shall pursue…” (Deuteronomy 16:20). Probably some sort of calligraphy.
  
• Hamsa (fingers down), possibly with my 2 kids’ names incorporated inside, in either English or Hebrew, and 1 vivid blue eye in the middle, similar to the eyes of the owl.
  
• Slingshot or David&Goliath art
  
• an oak tree w/ roots that are actually a human brain. The brain will have a red rose in a specific spot, matching the location of my brain tumor. (I’m currently fighting brain cancer, and winning.)

I’ve been wanting a sleeve for a while now. I love tattoos but actually only have two, even though I’m in my 40’s. I think that’s b/c I’m very picky. I love ink but I’m not putting anything on my body that I’m not confident I’ll want to keep forever. Sort of like taking your time dating before deciding who to marry.
Anyways, I have two pieces that are probably like 20 yrs old at this point. Had the work done at Rock of Ages by two different people who I don’t recall. They’re not complicated pieces. All black. A star on my left peck and a tribal thing at the top of my back. I want to incorporate these into a full left sleeve, maybe more.
I do have specific ideas about what I want included in this sleeve and generally where they should go, but I would like to consult with an artist to come up with designs. Of course, I’m paying for this time. My artistic ability is zero. I want to work with an expert. Time and money are easy hurdles to clear and won’t hold back this project. The main issue is the skill of the artist and their work fitting my personal preferences. I have no such skill myself. I can tell you what I like but I can’t actually create any of it.
I’m looking for recommendations on artists. I want the best. Someone with a portfolio they can share and that I’m impressed by. I don’t care if the artist is male or female. Despite the title, I don’t actually care if they’re in Austin either, as I’d travel for the right person. Just seems like Austin probably has the artist for me and would make it easy to get this done. I expect it to take a long time to do.
For reference, these are the things I’m looking to incorporate into the sleeve. I may not actually have room for all this in one sleeve, so I’m very open to spreading some of this out to other areas of my body. Whatever looks best.

• Great Horned Owl w/ vivid gold eyes. The body would mostly likely be a black and white realistic, accurate sketch of the bird, but I’d be open to other ideas. I just know I want the vivid life-like gold eyes. Probably the main piece of the sleeve covering the left shoulder.
  
• “Justice, justice you shall pursue…” (Deuteronomy 16:20). Probably some sort of calligraphy.
  
• Hamsa (fingers down), possibly with my 2 kids’ names incorporated inside, in either English or Hebrew, and 1 vivid blue eye in the middle, similar to the eyes of the owl.
  
• Slingshot or David&Goliath art
  
• an oak tree w/ roots that are actually a human brain. The brain will have a red rose in a specific spot, matching the location of my brain tumor. (I’m currently fighting brain cancer, and winning.)

Sorry I guess this is a long one
So this has been rattling in the old noggin for a good few weeks. I (34 amab) assumed I was cis but never really thought about it even though I friggen did a whole bunch of ally training, wore rainbow at work, put down he/him pronouns for myself to try to make a good LGBTI+ culture and studied equity in my master's so you'd think lots of opportunities to think about this.
But no, it was a random conversation with a new friend where I was complaining about toxic masculinity and bs gender roles and how it's not something I connect with. They said they felt the same about femininity (afab) and didn't really connect with that and just didn't really care about labels for themselves at all. Initially my brain goes to training and I'm like oh maybe there's a form of nb type thing but then appreciated that they had literally just said what I said but for their own agab.
Several weeks later and I've tried to confirm whether it's an issue I have with masculinity BC of toxic type or maleness and watched some videos on positive masculinity but I was acknowledging the attributes as good and some as ones I had but I disagreed that they were masculine! It was like, no I have some of those, in what way is that masculine? But then all the comments seemed to find them helpful for themselves so I'm like "huh, maybe my thinking is atypical"
I did a test and asked my partner to use the same statement about me with he, they and she pronouns and both he and they were fine but she sounded like it wasn't me. Meanwhile she told me in the same test for her that she/her felt right, he was talking about someone else and they them sounded like someone was trying to make a big deal about not using a gendered term. That point I found it hard to understand how it could feel correct and was really trying to interrogate exactly what that meant and how she knew because for me I genuinely didn't care between male and neutral
A trans colleague of mine also later validated this form of test already for me
So I guess I have a slight connection to maleness and that's it? Like if someone asked me if I was a man I'd be like "yeah I guess"... I did find the term demigender and I don't mind demi-man but not boy, maybe demi-masc?
Of course I have a bunch of funny feelings because I know how difficult it can be for different members of the LGBTI+ community (my sister is trans and cops shit all the time and very genuinely is in danger some days) and I don't want to feel like I'm trying on something because I think it's shiny or like I'm taking something away from someone else. I've still got loads of privilege, White, male, born in a good country, able bodied, basically like almost all the privilege boxes and I guess technically coming out probably wouldn't even change much for me if I'm understanding my brain correctly because I don't care provided I'm not referred to as female. Literally don't know what I'd tell people that doesn't feel a little performative and I can get away with wearing colourful patterned clothes, dying my beard, etc while (I assume) fully passing as a (quirky) cishet dude which seems kind of unfair

I've been trying to improve it for the past two months. Took a huge career risk just to take a break and focus on myself only to be met with an annoying health issue.
The irony of working out to help me get better only for it to mess me up even more.
Now I cant seem to sit for a few hours to work. Been to two doctors already and my savings are dwindling.
I just want a better life, man and I'm trying my ass off to make better choices for myself only to be met with shitty problems that costs so much to fix.

Another full-length, To the Teeth, appeared in 1999 as well, and in mid-2000 the odds-and-ends compilation Swing Set was released. Revelling: Reckoning appeared in 2001, and in 2002, DiFranco issued the double-disc So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter, her first live album since 1997's Living in Clip. The So Much Shouting set captured handpicked favorites by DiFranco and three previously unreleased songs.
The following year's Evolve added funk, jazz, and Latin elements to the mix, while 2004's Educated Guess was performed completely by DiFranco. Knuckle Down, co-produced by Joe Henry, followed in 2005. The eighth disc in her official bootleg series, Carnegie Hall (recorded live on April 2, 2002), was released in April 2006, and then -- shortly after the singer announced she was pregnant -- her studio album Reprieve arrived in August of that year. DiFranco gave birth to her daughter in January 2007 and released another official bootleg, Hamburg, Germany, in 2008. Arriving in 2012, Which Side Are You On?, the 17th studio album from the alternative folk legend, featured 12 original songs, including the rousing title cut, which was a reworking of a song made popular by Pete Seeger. He lent his distinctive voice and banjo to DiFranco's rendition. In 2014, she returned to her home studio in the New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood to record, produce, and mix sessions for her follow-up, Allergic to Water. Featuring backing from her touring band and guests Jenny Scheinman and Ivan Neville, the set was issued that November. It was followed in 2017 by Binary, which again featured contributions from Scheinman and Neville as well as saxophone legend Maceo Parker and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Viking Books published DiFranco's memoir No Walls and the Recurring Dream in May of 2019. The accompanying No Walls Mixtape consisted of newly recorded, stripped-down versions of 16 career-spanning tunes.
DiFranco spent most of the year working the road, writing about what she saw: political dissent and polarization, racial strife exacerbated by police shootings, and protest, some of it volatile. She returned to New Orleans in January, feeling the need to collaborate in order to do her part in getting out the vote. In February, as COVID-19 became known in the U.S. but before the nation quarantined, she traveled to Durham, North Carolina and worked in the studio with produceengineemulti-instrumentalist Brad Cook, and an eclectic group of musicians who included her own band -- bassist Todd Sickafoose and percussionist Terence Higgins -- as well as players from Hiss Golden Messenger, the Mountain Goats, Megafaun, Shouting Matches, Quetico, and Mipso. Previous Spotlight - Sleep Token

This will be the last statement I ever make before I disappear forever. I’ve heard that this kind of a thing is quite common for those who finally grow a conscious and decide to leave for good. I personally don’t know anyone else apart from a few people I used to work with who knew about this, so here we go. My name isn’t important, but you can call me DD. When I think about it, I’m not important at all, I’m just the messenger or whistleblower, so anything else that would further “incriminate” me isn’t important either. What is important however is this story. It’ll probably be swept under some rug no doubt, that’s the usual approach to these things, the words “conspiracy theorists” has a strong negative vibe to it, we can thank the boys at Langley and the Pentagon for that one. They have been responsible for more cover ups and lies than anyone else on the planet, except for a few. Well anyway, spoiler alert; there’s a derelict object orbiting Ganymede which is one of the moons of Jupiter… Now that I have your attention let’s begin.
I work for NASA. Well, that’s half-truth really, if you saw my real credentials, you would say that I worked for NASA, and that’d be that. The truth is I’ve been free lancing for various intelligence agencies, some named, some not, for about the last 10 years... Most of the other guys that worked with me were sort of the same, varying in different fields. My job was to delete or remove all the UFO evidence the government “accidentally” let slip into the public eye. We call them UAP’s I’m not sure why the different name but that’s what we call them. What often happens is one of those idiot Astronauts goes for a spacewalk on the external side of the ISS and gets too wild with a camera and boom one of those things is front and center of the next biggest conspiracy to hit the internet; or one of those weather balloons go up for some science experiment or something and they catch one zooming on by. Let’s face it, its been happening a lot these days, it is becoming increasingly difficult to cover up and eradiate everything, whilst Tech Giant companies continue to sell to everyone on the planet a personal camera to record anything they want, with the ability to upload it.
You can only suppress this kind of thing for so long before the conspiracy theorists finally get enough evidence together to make most denials look suspicious at best, and if you keep denying it, well you just look dumb. One thing everyone must know about the Governments of the world, they really care about how they appear to the public, in their little Geopolitical world its known as Optics, its part of their control apparatus. But that’s another story.
So, with the Ganymede object. It requires context that it’s been seen by almost every major Government in the world. Before the James Webb telescope gave us detailed images, we were getting shots from Hubble, and so on and so forth. So, when you think about it this object sort of throws a whole wrench into well... Everything. As far as we were aware at the time when we found it there was a… damn I’m not sure what it was but shit... its strange. It looks like a space station sphere within a toroid, roughly 900 feet across in diameter, it or they both look as though they counter rotate. I think; around each other which is how it is maintaining its orbit, it’s hard to tell, because the body of it doesn’t have any patterns or distinctive features or something along those lines. Juno got too close to the thing, and made it shoot out a ping. So, they had to make it out to be a bunch of random sounds and disruption in downloads for those who wanted the pics from the Jovian planets moon for the mainstream media to keep the all the people calm. The media told everyone that Juno was disrupted, and communication would be shut down for a bit until the proximity was past. Sometimes I think those types of cover ups work a little too well. Juno got a lot closer, and no one was aware. That’s when people like me take over and we work to figure out as much as possible, and then cover the rest up.
The color of this thing shimmers from time to time, we couldn’t tell whether it was some sort of technology, or defensive camouflage or something that had been busted from the internals, or even if it had been naturally made to be iridescent, what we do know though however is that it emits little to no radiation, there is zero heat, and it has no life signatures whatsoever. Throughout this you will notice how behind the eight ball the intelligence services were when it came to this thing and can sometimes be with other of these major world altering revelations sometimes. But I digress.
So, we quickly began covering up everything, and gave it a name, Little Rock. Stupid and probably insulting but that’s what we call it as it looks like a rock anyhow. We tried dating how long Little Rock had been orbiting Ganymede, though without any form of reference it was anyone’s guess, quite possibly before life even existed here on Earth. There is another thing we had to verify about it, we had to make sure of this, but it has a giant freakin hole in the center of it, one of the guys who I worked with has been looking at UFO’s for quite some time, looking for offensive capabilities and the such, he told me that the hole could have been made by either a huge comet ramming through it, at some point in the past or, some other form of kinetic weapon that was shot through it. This evidence was in the images that Juno spat out and it’s like it’s been blown to pieces. We couldn’t make heads or tails as to how.
Moving along, we fast forward to why this has taken so long coming out. After the Juno cover up, we had to get on top of this thing before other Governments decided to move on this, so we launched another satellite in secret almost straight away, this one was launched by one of SpaceX’s rockets; they made a big show that it was only launching more of the Starlink satellites, but one of them had an Ion drive on it and slung shot itself around the planet to move into the trajectory of making it to Ganymede and hopefully running into Little Rock. Well, it worked. The Satellite we sent was called Nemo, it got into an orbit with Ganymede and has produced some more detailed photos of Little Rock, and well its worse than we thought.
Surprise to everyone we aren’t alone in the universe. I think I should just rip that band-aid off and let everyone digest what I just said. And yes, I meant that, we are not alone. We have the proof, but by now I think everyone’s suspicions are just confirmed.
Nemo was shot down, by probably the same thing that got Little Rock maybe? Whatever it was it had been hanging around after Juno passed it or it could have always been there, we aren’t sure. This thing looked like some inactive debris, so Nemo approached it and was instantly destroyed. When we looked at the play back footage, which took longer than we wanted it to get back to us, it looked like a small object had approached Nemo, it had a strange physical look which puzzled everyone, the only way to describe it would be the Angel depictions from the Genesis section of the bible like a sphere within a sphere.it was just bizarre.
The playback showed that as soon as Nemo got there it began moving and changing its orbital direction to meet Nemo, so we have limited information as to what it was and why it did it. When we saw the initial playback one of the four-star Generals who was there with us at the time told us all to copy it to his files for the Pentagon and delete the original. We had to do it but after that we all theorized about what our best guess was. The best one I remember was that it was some sort of proximity drone that activated too late when Little Rock got hit, went dormant again, then when Nemo turned up it went active and did its job. We think it’s a proximity drone since it never attacked Juno, because Juno didn’t get too close like Nemo did.
Now we get to the best part. Somewhere along the line the drone must have been scanning the wreckage of Nemo and figured out its origin, keep in mind that we didn’t leave one of those dumb golden plates on Nemo like Voyagers got, that pretty much says come and get us. So how it made the connection is a mystery to us. What happened next was very scary, we got the same frequencies that Juno picked up earlier here on Earth. For reference there is loads of space junk up there above our heads, and some of it woke up. To be specific the one that woke up is a bit infamous, it’s called the Black Knight Satellite, this thing has been in orbit for the longest time around the south pole; we had originally assumed it was a hunk of debris from the Mir station years ago, but as of more recently we thought it was something else, the conspiracies surrounding it say it is an Alien spacecraft, and well its true. We keep an eye on these things in case, and for the most part it stayed dormant all these years we have never had a way of getting to it without it being obvious or reckless, at least to my knowledge. When those frequencies started, post Nemo getting wrecked the Black Knight decided to start moving in a certain direction and it began emitting a frequency like the one that Juno read. Though it was softer and didn’t emit consistently it bleeped a few times then stopped and started moving.
From what we understand the Black Knight began moving towards Europe where it dropped something out of a holding bay onto a collision course with Earth. You guys should have seen the amount insanity that caused with the intel community, and NASA practically pooped themselves as this payload slammed into the Siberian tundra about 400 miles from anything remotely resembling human habitation and no one knew why or what it was.
That’s when the race had been on, every Government that wanted to see what it was, were sending everything they had up that way. The Russians had a huge head start and were pretty much all over it setting up quarantine stations and a huge facility over the top of what had struck the Earth. We were watching via spy satellites and stealth craft, whilst I’m told we had spies and wet work teams on the ground which made sense because we got photos from the inside of their makeshift facility. Our first reports showed that they’d been excavating it for days, it was a large 3 meter by 3-meter black cube. I’m serious it was a cube, with a lot of... well, I’m not sure, but the images we got back made it look like some sort of sludge. Like this oozing red sludge. The Russians were keeping away from the stuff as it probably freaked them out. They were instead sticking probes in it, taking samples and trying to figure out what it even was. The sludge was given a wide birth, as it was expanding out of the cube, the initial containment zone had been expanded, and was growing daily from the imagery we got back. This was concerning to us, and there had been talk of dropping all kinds of ordinance on the site. As far as we are aware we were moving into different defcons, which is a state of readiness for war.
It must have been something that happened because the cube emitted a pulse. This was read like a seismic event over in that region. For some reason the sludge apparently stopped moving. It just stayed in position and then it calcified. The info we got said the pulse made it crystallize and it looked like a ruby. Within the crystal were sacks or at least they looked like small gross little wiggling sacks full of puss and bile, like larvae or maggots looking for a meal.
No one exactly knew what had been going on, although they did know one thing, these larvae couldn’t be reached by anything, how we figured that out was easy. The Russians have some of the best drilling equipment on the planet and some of the largest and strongest diamond tipped filament drills in the world. Keep in mind that these types of machines and tech are specialized and leave a paper trail. They cost an exorbitant amount of money and are often from overseas corporate manufacturers. So, for secret projects they need a finer touch or end up leaving a large fingerprint on everything. In normal situations Governments will often pay using a black budget that no one can audit or talk about during a live parliament session. This relates to us because we were the ones who the Russians were buying extra drills from and our hardware to crack this structure. If Russia already had the equipment and they were buying more from overseas Manufacturers, it meant they needed help getting into it, and they didn’t care if it was obvious.
These larvae sacks eventually were dissected out of the crystalized structure The Russian government had stopped buying excessive amounts of drills, we heard. But somehow level heads prevailed, and they decided that if anything was going to happen the Kremlin would be the one to deal with it but if it went beyond their borders, it would be a NATO issue.
We had gotten assurances from higher ups that all data would be shared as it was increasingly obvious to every country involved. The negations meant that the Kremlin was prepared to drop any ordinance they had to deal with it. This wasn’t the best approach but there was an assumption from everyone that NATO would step in if something went sideways even if it was still in Russian territory. Things were very tense in those rooms, I’m just glad I’m not there anymore.

It was as if the birthing sacks had a set expectation of development, not only that, but they had ethnic diversity, meaning they had different racial traits and backgrounds. Some were Caucasoid, others Hispanic, Asian and so on. The Russians were smart enough to photograph and fingerprint all the ones that they had pulled from the ruby structure and thank God they did. Another weird coincidence was that when they ran the DNA and fingerprints most have matching DNA strands to those who have gone missing globally. Yeah, that’s right missing persons cases that have been all over the world, not just in the Russian region but globally. But the differences in their cell structure meant that these things weren’t those missing people, so that was its own pandoras box.
Now that we have caught up, The worst part. They lost them. They literally broke out of their containment zone and ran off into the Siberian tundra, most of them nude or in hospital gowns, those damned idiots lost them. What we know is before the giant jail break. Is that they had been attempting the communication process and education with these hybrid humans, but it hadn’t gone very well, somehow one of them had figured out some information that they shouldn’t have, and even though they were housed in one of the most sophisticated dark gulags they got, these hybrids got out, this isn’t some old soviet era dump, its an actual top level place where they were housing most spies and just pure evil people the Russian Government hated but couldn’t kill. They housed them there moving everyone else out and the Hybrids, they could communicate without anyone else knowing. So, they got out and are in the wind now, and everyone is losing their minds trying to find them. Good luck, I say.
I had to blow the whistle on this one, what the hell is being done to find these people? And what are they going to do if they catch them? One thing everyone must know about the Governments of the world, they really care about how they appear to the public, in their little Geopolitical world its known as Optics, its part of their control apparatus. So, with the Ganymede object. It requires context that it’s been seen by almost every major Government in the world. Before the James Webb telescope gave us detailed images, we were getting shots from Hubble, and so on and so forth. So, when you think about it this object sort of throws a whole wrench into well... Everything. As far as we were aware at the time when we found it there was a… damn I’m not sure what it was but shit... its strange. It looks like a space station sphere within a toroid, roughly 900 feet across in diameter, it or they both look as though they counter rotate. I think; around each other which is how it is maintaining its orbit, it’s hard to tell, because the body of it doesn’t have any patterns or distinctive features or something along those lines. Juno got too close to the thing, and made it shoot out a ping. So, they had to make it out to be a bunch of random sounds and disruption in downloads for those who wanted the pics from the Jovian planets moon for the mainstream media to keep the all the people calm. The media told everyone that Juno was disrupted, and communication would be shut down for a bit until the proximity was past. Sometimes I think those types of cover ups work a little too well. Juno got a lot closer, and no one was aware. That’s when people like me take over and we work to figure out as much as possible, and then cover the rest up.

There is another thing we had to verify about it, we had to make sure of this, but it has a giant freakin hole in the center of it, one of the guys who I worked with has been looking at UFO’s for quite some time, looking for offensive capabilities and the such, he told me that the hole could have been made by either a huge comet ramming through it, at some point in the past or, some other form of kinetic weapon that was shot through it. This evidence was in the images that Juno spat out and it’s like it’s been blown to pieces. We couldn’t make heads or tails as to how.
Moving along, we fast forward to why this has taken so long coming out. After the Juno cover up, we had to get on top of this thing before other Governments decided to move on this, so we launched another satellite in secret almost straight away, this one was launched by one of SpaceX’s rockets; they made a big show that it was only launching more of the Starlink satellites, but one of them had an Ion drive on it and slung shot itself around the planet to move into the trajectory of making it to Ganymede and hopefully running into Little Rock. Well, it worked. The Satellite we sent was called Nemo, it got into an orbit with Ganymede and has produced some more detailed photos of Little Rock, and well its worse than we thought.
Surprise to everyone we aren’t alone in the universe. I think I should just rip that band-aid off and let everyone digest what I just said. And yes, I meant that, we are not alone. We have the proof, but by now I think everyone’s suspicions are just confirmed.
Nemo was shot down, by probably the same thing that got Little Rock maybe? Whatever it was it had been hanging around after Juno passed it or it could have always been there, we aren’t sure. This thing looked like some inactive debris, so Nemo approached it and was instantly destroyed. When we looked at the play back footage, which took longer than we wanted it to get back to us, it looked like a small object had approached Nemo, it had a strange physical look which puzzled everyone, the only way to describe it would be the Angel depictions from the Genesis section of the bible like a sphere within a sphere.it was just bizarre.
The playback showed that as soon as Nemo got there it began moving and changing its orbital direction to meet Nemo, so we have limited information as to what it was and why it did it. When we saw the initial playback one of the four-star Generals who was there with us at the time told us all to copy it to his files for the Pentagon and delete the original. We had to do it but after that we all theorized about what our best guess was. The best one I remember was that it was some sort of proximity drone that activated too late when Little Rock got hit, went dormant again, then when Nemo turned up it went active and did its job. We think it’s a proximity drone since it never attacked Juno, because Juno didn’t get too close like Nemo did.
Now we get to the best part. Somewhere along the line the drone must have been scanning the wreckage of Nemo and figured out its origin, keep in mind that we didn’t leave one of those dumb golden plates on Nemo like Voyagers got, that pretty much says come and get us. So how it made the connection is a mystery to us. What happened next was very scary, we got the same frequencies that Juno picked up earlier here on Earth. For reference there is loads of space junk up there above our heads, and some of it woke up. To be specific the one that woke up is a bit infamous, it’s called the Black Knight Satellite, this thing has been in orbit for the longest time around the south pole; we had originally assumed it was a hunk of debris from the Mir station years ago, but as of more recently we thought it was something else, the conspiracies surrounding it say it is an Alien spacecraft, and well its true. We keep an eye on these things in case, and for the most part it stayed dormant all these years we have never had a way of getting to it without it being obvious or reckless, at least to my knowledge. When those frequencies started, post Nemo getting wrecked the Black Knight decided to start moving in a certain direction and it began emitting a frequency like the one that Juno read. Though it was softer and didn’t emit consistently it bleeped a few times then stopped and started moving.
From what we understand the Black Knight began moving towards Europe where it dropped something out of a holding bay onto a collision course with Earth. You guys should have seen the amount insanity that caused with the intel community, and NASA practically pooped themselves as this payload slammed into the Siberian tundra about 400 miles from anything remotely resembling human habitation and no one knew why or what it was.
That’s when the race had been on, every Government that wanted to see what it was, were sending everything they had up that way. The Russians had a huge head start and were pretty much all over it setting up quarantine stations and a huge facility over the top of what had struck the Earth. We were watching via spy satellites and stealth craft, whilst I’m told we had spies and wet work teams on the ground which made sense because we got photos from the inside of their makeshift facility. Our first reports showed that they’d been excavating it for days, it was a large 3 meter by 3-meter black cube. I’m serious it was a cube, with a lot of... well, I’m not sure, but the images we got back made it look like some sort of sludge. Like this oozing red sludge. The Russians were keeping away from the stuff as it probably freaked them out. They were instead sticking probes in it, taking samples and trying to figure out what it even was. The sludge was given a wide birth, as it was expanding out of the cube, the initial containment zone had been expanded, and was growing daily from the imagery we got back. This was concerning to us, and there had been talk of dropping all kinds of ordinance on the site. As far as we are aware we were moving into different defcons, which is a state of readiness for war.

Backstory: Imone, a half-Drow elf, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Waterdeep. Her parents, a Drow monk and a human fighter, settled there after finding love and acceptance within its diverse population. Growing up in this cosmopolitan hub, Imone experienced both the wonders and challenges of city life.
Imone's mother, a skilled monk within the Order of Shadows, recognized her daughter's innate talent and nurtured her abilities in the shadow arts. Under her guidance, Imone became adept at the elusive techniques of the shadow monk, blending stealth, agility, and combat prowess.
Meanwhile, her father, a seasoned fighter who belonged to a renowned mercenary guild, taught her the fundamentals of weapon-based combat. Imone's training under her parents' watchful eyes instilled in her a unique fighting style, combining the fluidity of a monk with the raw power of a fighter.
Despite her parents' unwavering support and love, Imone struggled with her own sense of self-worth. The brooding nature of her half-Drow heritage and her dark inner thoughts manifested in her "emo" personality. She often found solace in the shadows, where she felt most comfortable and understood.
As she matured, Imone's desire to challenge societal imbalances and make a difference led her to a life of covert thievery. Utilizing her shadow skills, she honed her abilities as a stealthy thief. Imone focused on stealing from the affluent and corrupt, viewing her actions as a means to provide for the less fortunate and address the inequalities she observed in Waterdeep.
Imone's motivations remained rooted in her belief that everyone deserves kindness, compassion, and love, even if she struggled to accept those sentiments for herself. Her dedication to bettering society from the shadows earned her a reputation as a modern-day Robin Hood among the city's poorer denizens.
When the opportunity arises for Imone to embark on a grand adventure, she sees it as a chance to further her cause and challenge the status quo. Her dual training as a fighter and shadow monk equips her with a unique skill set, allowing her to strike swiftly and silently against those who abuse their power.

Sadly, the World Health Organisation estimates that accidental drowning in water has been the fatal cause of death of around 236,000 people. A further 4.7 million people per year may experience non-fatal near-drowning, the effects of which can be life-changing.
An average of 3,500 to 4,000 people drown every year in the United States, and up to 70,000 more may experience non-fatal near-drowning experiences, which can be life-changing. Children, males and individuals with increased access to water are most at risk of drowning. Many of these fatal and non-fatal accidental drownings would have been highly preventable.
We are a group of researchers from the UK and New Zealand researching ways to reduce the number of accidental drownings in different countries, and we need your help!
(1) How can you help?
We ask you to respond to our online research survey about floating capability. The findings will help inform water safety advice and swimming education and could help prevent accidental drownings in water. The findings of the survey will be presented at the World Conference on Drowning Prevention in 2023, so there is clear potential for impact.
(2) What's involved?
Around 20 minutes of your time to answer questions about your perceptions of floating capabilities, drowning risk, swimming and self-rescue competencies, and we ask you to rate how well you float.
(3) Who can participate?
Males and females aged 16 and older, including young, middle- and older-aged adults.
