I was doing the “Black Pearl” quest, dived underwater, had to go back up cos ran out of breath. Then when I dived back underwater the breath hadn’t regenerated so it just immediately started draining my health.
I died a few times, kept reloading to do it again, same thing kept happening.
Resolved to do more quests and come back later, now I’m on “Possession”, had to dive underwater and it just immediately drained my health, can’t even see the breath bar anymore.
Anyone any ideas?

Early Life
Born on Earth, in the small walled town of Eden. To two currently still living parents (names unknown) he was their only child. He was not interested in politics, or in school, having a fear of public speaking and a stutter. Spending most of his childhood reading and writing short stories and novels. Usually about the tribe of Legacy’s that attacked Eden’s walls. He attended Eden’s only school from elementary to high school “Don Juan School of Eden”.
Becoming Mayor
Once he turned eighteen, the election of Eden's new mayor took place. Like all elections in Eden it was decided by placing names of all the members of the town in a hat above the age of eighteen, excluding all previous mayors and people interested or accused of being interested in becoming mayor. His name was drawn to his dismay, writing in his diary that night “Shit.” and leaving the rest of the page blank.
He was forced to lead the town and did so for a few months, until The Dropped landed on Earth, there seeing an opportunity in getting aid to help fight off the Legacy's asked The Dropped leaders (Harry, Jay and Rue) to fight them, which they agreed to. Moving the other seventy-five members of The Dropped into Eden, and helped fight off the Legacys.
First Contact
Once the Caelum prisoners landed and captured Rue, and after Rue killed five of the Caelums and escaped, the First Caelum Human War took place. Eden became the main base for The Dropped and a truce was formed with the few Legacy tribes still at war with The Dropped.
Noah became a general in the conflict. During this time The Dropped began to teach him how to become a good leader. Getting him over his stutter and fear of public speaking, along with teaching him how to fight.
One day near the end of the war an unknown person found a cache of firearms and explosives in a bunker under Eden. This turned the tide of the war leading to the surrender of the Caelum prisoners.
The Great War
Once the Caelum prisoners explained that they were forced to come to Earth to test if it was worth conquering by The Queen, it was actually Noah who first vocalized joining the rebels, going to the Caelum planet and overthrowing the Queen. Once the ships were repaired the Humans and Caelums went together to their home planet.
After The Battle of the Factory and its capture by rebel forces, Arcade, Harry, Jay, Jude, Rue and Noah became the Human leaders of the rebellion. The next nine months were marked by dozens of battles and heavy casualties on both sides.
Noah’s leadership was instrumental in several victories in the war including The Battle of The 7th Station, The Great “Retreat” and The Burning. Most notably the rescue of the captured Human generals late into the war. Known as Operation: Ark.
Current Affairs
Noah is still alive and still the mayor of Eden. It is not known if he is married or has children.

I just finished the game now and, wow... what a game. I love games that leave you sitting and thinking at the end (and several times throughout) and one of the only other games that has felt so profound to me was Outer Wilds. That game set a very high bar for game narrative for me, and I've found it very hard to scratch that itch again. This game was right up there with it. In fact, for most of the game I had the same feeling of unease that I had during a particular place in Outer Wilds: Dark Bramble
I liked safe mode because I could explore, and while I found the monsters creepy, I just went straight up to them as soon as I saw them to get rid of that tension and see what they would do if I was near them. This helped me feel more comfortable exploring as I generally steer clear of horror games. The creepiest one by far was the one in the diving suit near the end, whojust followed me around when I wasn't looking at them. I knew they were there, but man, it didn't matter. Heebie Jeebies x10.
I felt really bad having to hurt Carl. I was pretty disturbed to>! see all the people who were kept "alive", barely, by an AI whose programming was to preserve humanity.!< I wasn't surprised to see Simon 3 still alive in the chair, and I did choose to kill him. I still don't understand how Simon was surprised by this, but it was really interesting to think about.
I'm pretty terrified of water in video games so I'm pretty proud of myself for making it through, even though it was on safe mode! The Abyss was pretty intense and I had to take my headset off for a bit to get through>! the murky water with the torches!<. I also did NOT fall for the angler fish, I'm proud to say. I read every scrap of lore I could find so I was expecting this to appear at some point.
Sarah was kind of heart breaking. The last (...original?) human life quietly being snuffed out by a simple press of the button, and there will never be another way for a human to exist again. By the way, I realized when I got down to the>! lift!< that you can use it to transport the Ark... I had actually just jumped down the ladder holes so didn't need that, haha!
I chose to kill the WAU, though I can't say with 100% certainly that I understand what happened here. Why wouldn't I have done that? What would've happened if I didn't? Are all the people who are on WAU life support dead for good now? What does that mean for Simon 3 after he lost the coin toss and is stuck alone, without Catherine? Was that the>! last copy of Catherine!killed Simon 2 so I could go back for him and have someone to hang out with? Would that even work, and could I even get there without a working Omnitool? Would that monster still be waiting outside that locked door or is it dead now because I killed(?) the WAU? Why did the power go out after the Ark launch and why was Catherine's chip corrupted anyway? Or was that my battery draining... maybe Catherine programmed that in because of how I handled the Simon 2 situation? What was the disco ball head guy all about? Could Simon 3 theoretically climb up the space gun and reach the surface? How far are we from the coast anyway? Could he survive up there? Will structure gel fix his arm? Will the people on the Ark be able to destroy themselves if they're tired of being conscious for thousands of years? Will they sleep in the simulation? Won't they go insane after living hundreds if not thousands of lifetimes? The Black Mirror episode "White Christmas" comes to mind...
And finally, something I thought was insane, was that the entirety of human experience could be simulated with only 1200 ish (can't remember the exact number) terabytes of data. Is this theoretically possible in 100 or so years? If you think about how quickly technology has progressed in our IRL history so far, who knows?!
Anyway, I have many, many questions, and I don't expect anyone to actually answer me, because I believe that's the point - there aren't any answers. The choices I had to make as Simon 2 and 3 were choices that had me sitting there for literal minutes contemplating what to do. It didn't matter if it changed the gameplay or not (it didn't, as far as I'm aware) because it isn't about right and wrong, it's about the messiness of being human. Or being a simulated human. Or something, I don't know, but I love that I don't know. Because I'm human. I think I am anyway! So that means I am, right?

Hello!
All of my friends:

1 game mains and only play that one game
Are part of discord servers with 100 people where half the people you've never met and the other half wouldn't notice if you ever returned
Play a game for a day then a new one the next (can't "complete" a game)
Start a game then disappear for 3 weeks

My Style:

I play from around 5PM CST to about 1AM CST most days + weekends. I have a family so I don't game every day but most.
I play a wide variety of games. So far this year:
- World of Tanks
- Ark
- Escape from Tarkov
- Call of Duty Cold War Zombies
- The Forest
- Total War (Warhammer, Rome, etc)
- The Way of the Hunter
- War Thunder
- Arma Antistasi
Games I'm not into (maybe you can convince me otherwise):
- League of Legends
- Super big, grindy MMOs (WoW, Black Desert, Eve)
- Arcady stuff with no progression (PubG, Overwatch, Apex, Fortnite etc)
I'm a competitive style player, I like to win, and I like to get a sense of accomplishment. But I'm not a sweat lord who yells at you because we lost

I have a family, a business, and a job.
I like to hunt, hike and fish
Looking for someone I'll be actual friends with and not just someone I played a game with one time until we moved to different games. My best friend I meet playing games 8 years ago and we just got back from a vegas trip with our wives. Not saying we need to get to that level haha, just that I'm looking for something different than we beat the forest together and then peaced out.
I'm playing Call of Duty Zombies right now, I kinda want to beat the story. Also been having the itch to beat the Ark story before Ark 2 comes out. I just tried to play the forest but my friend kinda flaked before we completed the last bit. I'm open to other games of course too.

Are not 19-years old living with their parent's, whose primary hobby is playing games, getting high (idc if you smoke), and partying. (You live your life, no judgment from me, we just won't have a lot in common to talk about is all).
Like to play a variety of games.
Like to reach end game of games where it makes sense (Ark, Call of Duty Zombies, The Forest), and don't mind putting games down that don't have one after a while (Tarkov, World of Tanks, match-based stuff).
Don't need to agree on everything with your friends. They can have different political, social, etc type views and it's cool. You can even learn something from them and teach something in return.
Play at least a few days a week. I have a life to but if you only play 2 hours a week it's hard to get very far into anything.
Have some kind of hobby outside of computers.
Don't want me to join a discord server with you 50 best friends. But I'm cool with hanging out with a couple of your friends and hope you are cool hanging out with a couple of friends of mine. People who will get to know you/I. Just not looking to join the mega community that people will forget my name 2 hours after I joined.

Hey guys, I want to get into reviewing pads as I have been collecting and using them for years now. I received this pad from Gamesense to help with feedback and I am allowed to make a review on it! This will not affect my opinions, and I would have been perfectly ok with purchasing the pad up front or afterwords to make this review :)

I want to get straight into the meat of this pad so specs and details will be at the end ->

The Sonar: aka the balance glass pad. In the age of speed, where aimers crave light weight, less friction, more speed and raw aim, this pad comes as a breath of fresh air.
While this statement may come across as a little controversial, I think it is excellent that Gamesense is bringing something different to the market than another speed pad. Do not let this fool you into thinking this a slow pad however, as it is still made of glass, and provides that low initial/static friction that glass pads are synonymous with.
What is does bring, is control in the form of dynamic friction and stopping power. Comparing this pad to Skypad 2.0 and 3.0 is has quite a different surface. Not necessarily to the feel, as by hand it is closer to the Skypad 3.0 surface.
But in terms of its feeling through the mouse is where this pad sets itself apart. Where the Skypad can feel like my mouse is floating and gliding, I feel locked in on this surface. As if my mouse is ON the surface, not merely gliding over it.
This gives an initial feeling of almost roughness through the mouse skates, similar to a an almost Hien like feedback. This is a feeling that lessons over time and I feel as though the pad does have a small break in period, of a few days or a week.
Once past this, the micro corrections inherit the glass pad property of being in your control, light and low friction. The beauty of this pad comes into its sweeps, tracking and flicks. It stops on a dime, which seems as though it contradicts its low initial friction, but in practice does not.
I find it most prevalent on a 75 degree or more flick, where I quickly swipe my mouse and lock into the target, something in which I struggle with on the Skypad due to its incredibly fast and smooth nature. In this way, during fast movements, the Sonar acts as a sort of controlled pad, which not inheriting the muddy or inconsistent nature of a plush cloth pad.
This means on every motion I get the same, unchanging experience. Flick-stop, flick-stop, switch-switch-switch.
Lets talk about tracking. I have been playing less tracking heavy games of late (CS and Valorant), but just to test this aspect of the pad I have done some tracking sessions in Kovaak's. While my previous comments have indicated that the strong suit of this pad is its controlled stopping power, that does not mean it is bad at tracking by any means.
Most tracking consists of smooth, slower motion, prioritizing accuracy instead of speedy target acquisition. Here once again the pad excels. With the exception of a truly speed based cloth pad(Artisan Raiden for example) the tracking offered by this pad is well inline with fast hybrid offerings.
I would not say it is "as good" at tracking as a Skypad, IF you have immaculate mouse control or crave a friction-less experience. I think for everyone but the speediest of demons, this pad offers a level of tracking far beyond their own capabilities, and will not be a hard ceiling to their mouse control skill.

Final overall thoughts regarding the pad:
Things I like
I like the design of both this pad and the regular black version. I think it offers something unique and eye pleasing, which I think is important in a pad. I prefer a simple design, with well thought out colors, and I think both variants of this pad accomplish that goal. The collectors edition Minwah of Pearl some might consider garish, but I find to be quite enjoyable as it reminds me of a blanket you might find on the spare bed of your grandmothers house.
I like the control this pad offers in static and flicking type aiming. It gives me a sense of control over my mouse, while not hand holding as much as a control cloth pad.
Also the size of this pad feels great, while being 500x400 the vertical space is sufficient, somehow it feels like there is so much space horizontally, even for the low sense players. With the rounded edges it also feels very comfortable on the arm and does not cause any discomfort.

Things I don't like
The design implementation: while I do like the actual design, the way it is implemented on the glass leaves a close up feels a little blurry, and some of the characters having a sort of cloudy outline. I believe this is the case with ALL glass pad designs, as the print must shine through the surface, and it is more of a minor nitpick.
Initial Feeling: my first impressions of this pad I thought my mouse skates would start deteriorating like going over a cheese grater. It felt extremely abrasive on the mouse skates for a few day until breaking in. I believe this feeling is due to the bead blast surface, and what is in fact what gives the pad its control.
I have gotten used to it, but it did leave me a little wary at first that my skates would quickly degrade(which is common with glass pads)
My last gripe is consistent across all glass pads I have used and that is it feels terrible once I start to sweat. I live in a pretty humid environment, and my AC doesn't run full blast all the time. So during extended session as I start to warm up and build a little sweat, I just stick to this pad. However, I have experienced this with all glass pads so I won't count it against it.

Overall I enjoyed my experience with this pad. It is the most enjoyable glass pad I have used yet, especially since I don't hone my mouse control as some users, and prefer a little control in my life, even with my cloth pads. This pad fit well into my repertoire, and did not hold me back even after switching to it immediately. After the break in period, the pad does speed up a little, losing some of that "grating" feel.
All in all I would recommend this pad for any game, it offers something for all scenarios, and really lets the user decide what level of control they have over it. If you are a cloth pad user and have been looking to move to a hard surface, I would recommend this pad over Skypad, unless you are sure your mouse control would not hold you back for a significant amount of time.
My own personal opinion is that glass pads are diminishing returns, and most gamers would benefit more from coaching or vod review if they are looking to up their game, but this pad is more inline with purchasing a pad to fit your need, especially if you hate cleaning or wearing out your cloth pad.

I’m a central Long Islander who’s just looking for good vibes with someone down-to-Earth, and hopefully also located on Long Island. Someone I could share memes and watch movies with. Someone I could talk to for hours into the night and share music and memes with. Weebs and gamers are especially welcome. If you’re on the awkward or introverted side, it’s far more likely to endear you to me than turn me away. I deal with demanding people and responsibilities being dumped on me at home AND at work, and nothing would make me happier than to meet someone I can let my guard down and decompress and geek out with.
I got promoted to project manager at the testing lab I work at about a month ago, and have been working long hours to acquaint myself with the position and get comfortable. In addition, I teach weekly ESL classes to Spanish and Haitian Creole-speaking locals. I’ve had to financially support my mom (long story short: my father is a complete non-factor in my life) and manage our home for the past few years, which has locked me into “workaholic” mode. With the promotion/raise, Mom’s health improving, and less need to work long shifts now that I’ve got my shit together though, it looks like I may be free to start relaxing and enjoying myself. Free to “live” a little, so to speak. My ultimate goal, career-wise, is to break into financial or managerial accounting, but hopefully not be married to my work and have time to take things easy and enjoy the little things in life between work.
Just about anyone who knows me would describe me as calm, collected, blunt, and generally on top of things. I don’t mince words when I see that something is wrong, and I like to see issues resolved or at least communicated as quickly and thoroughly as possible. I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor that a lot of people seem to find hilarious. For anyone who cares (I personally don’t), I’m a Libra and apparently an extreme ISTJ. (A buddy made me take a test) Outside of my work and personal responsibilities, though, I tend to be pretty relaxed and unconcerned about most things. A lot of stuff just isn’t worth losing sleep over, you know? That aside, I tend to appreciate the more quiet and simple things in life, so I tend not to get along with loud or materialistic people, or people who always need drama and noise in their lives.
Just a few things I like to indulge in, when I can:

- Learning about animals and watching animal/pet videos
- Reading/Literature (I’m on a hunt for rustic, realistic/historical fiction kind of novels like Pearl S. Buck’s “House of Earth” trilogy or more psychedelic or dark works like Haruki Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore or Ozamu Dazai’s No Longer Human.)
- Documentaries about history, social phenomena, true crime, and nature
- Studying foreign languages (I know 4) as well as learning about foreign countries’ history, culture, and recent/current goings-on
- Anime and manga. Thoroughly familiar with Naruto (not Boruto, though), Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan, but now I’m more interested in more experimental, dark, and lesser-known/standalone works like Samurai Champloo or Texhnolyze or Mushishi. My most recent readthrough was Holyland.
- Gaming, although I’m as casual as it gets. I only have a Switch at the moment, and mostly play Smash, Saint’s Row, Animal Crossing, Sifu,and Street Fighter, although I’m getting more and more interested in fighting games by the day. I’m hoping to get a PS4 sometime in the future. Also currently replaying Pokemon HeartGold and Black 2, so Pokemon nerds, feel free to hit me up!
- Putting together folders of cool images, backgrounds, aesthetics, and scenery.

I have an old Pearl export with 12”, 13”, and 16” toms, a 14” snare, and a 22” bass drum. There seem to be a few different types/options among Evans drumheads (I’ve read that they’re pretty good and have been suggested them), so which type should I get? I’m not very experienced in drumming but new heads to make my drums not sound like shit anymore would definitely motivate me to practice more.
Edit: Is there a sound difference between clear and with coating? I was thinking a black bass drum head and white/clear for the other drums Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone,
So, I have a question regarding my SolArk inverter. Just for context, I live in Puerto Rico (big grid issues at times), and I have a SolArk 8K Inverter set up with 12 340V solar panels.
The inverter works fantastically in almost every situation. However, there is one particular context where it displays really odd behavior, and the company that services my system has not been able to address it in the past.
When grid power is there, but notably low (say 105 or lower) and outside of the system's protection/reconnection parameters, the inverter sometimes tries to connect to the grid anyways. It detects that the voltage is too low, so it cuts it off (creating a short window where everything in the house briefly loses power). It continues to do this for a while until it generates either an F18 [AC_OverCurr_Fault] or F34 [AC_Overload_Fault] error, and then it shuts off for a couple of minutes. Until it reboots entirely, we're completely blacked out (or worse, left directly connected to extremely low grid voltage) in the house, and if the low voltage continues after it reboots, the cycle starts again (several short hiccups, followed by an error and a shutdown).
If I switch the manual transfer switch outside off (to completely cut off the inverter from the grid), the problem disappears, and everything behaves normally (this is how I narrowed it down to low power). My understanding is that the inverter should be aware that the grid has inconsistently low voltage, and it shouldn't try to reconnect to it, avoiding this situation altogether. I imagine it's some setting in the inverter, but I haven't quite figured that out yet.
I set the parameters to Low V 110 and Reconnect to 30S (it was originally set at 108V and Reconnect 0.16S), but it still exhibits the same behavior even after that change. Any thoughts/suggestions? I would really appreciate it.
