Hey guys, hope everyone is having a good day. Can anyone help me give me any recommendations on a product for a tv stand? I ordered a new AVR so I thought if I’m gonna be wiring a new one up I want to do it at the same time. My current one is all open and I’ll include a link to it at the bottom to show what I DO NOT want. Main reason is I have 2 cats that unfortunately like to get into it and I’m getting tired of them knocking wires loose. Cats will be cats.
I’m looking for something that is more enclosed with shelving, ideally something that doesn’t constrict air flow too much but at the same time something a bit more pet proof where my cats can cause little to no issues. Needs to be able to hold my 65” LG CX on top or support a stand (wall mount is not an option as I do not have permission from land lord to do so), Denon AVR and center speaker, Xbox Series X, PS5 and my 4K Blu ray player. I’m looking most ideally 55-65” wide with my available space. I also ideally do not want to spend a lot of money within reason so it doesn’t need to be super nice or anything just something that’s not a crappy POS and can meet above needs decently.
If anyone can give me suggestions on a particular unit they would think would meet my needs based on explanation or different recommended sites to look I would greatly appreciate it! I can answer questions if anyone has any additional questions or suggestions.

This is the main entrance for the house, designing this is not for the faint of heart! Its an awkward space because of the closet buldging in imo amd I love the windows but it makes TV placement want to pull my hair out lol.
Nothing in there is staying as I recently moved and plan to get rid of it all except maybe the 48" tv
For sizing reference the couch that's in there from my old place is 82 inches. Seems too big for the area to me. Would like a seating area for two that could pull out to lay on ideally.
Living room area (with the couch in it) is 13ftx13ft
The entry area where the door opens up to is 11ftx10ft.

Hi :) Some Chinese light fixtures come without a grounding wire, these are aluminum bodies. Looking for the best way to add a grounding wire, if it's possible.
(will then be connected to the grounding wire from the wall).
One option I saw is this (ground is the yellow&green wire, and the lamp screws in from the other side):

Or, maybe it's possible to screw the grounding into the mounting plate connected to the wall (connected via metal screws to the body, but not directly to the lamp), as in this:

Do any of these options make sense? Any other recommendations?

Underground housing complex, for the people without shelters. Firstly if you think about it makes the most sense, because it would get rid of all the tent issues that we see on the surface, this complex facility would cost around $45M and it's 285,650 Square feet, and approx. 450 feet below the surface. The only real way to get down would be from elevators on the entrance of the office or escalators near the elevators. The elevators will all be illuminated with Neon tube lights so it's not pitch black, the walls will be decorated with art so it's not bland.
Okay I know there's a lot of concerns regarding flooding, don't worry I got that covered. There will be drainage holes on the surface, with large vents to allow mass amounts of water to flow through, there will also be drainage holes on the inside towards the bottom. This is incase a flash flooding event will take place, the elevators will be reinforced with thick plastic so there won't be any conductivity or short circuits.
The air vents will be present throughout the entire complex forcibly pushing out stale air and bringing in fresh air from the outside via Fan units on the outside, these will also be cleared of any debris periodically.
Each housing unit will come with 1 bathroom, 1 closet, 1 bedroom and 1 living room with a kitchen equipped with a sink, fridge, and all the bare minimum for Wifi and TV.
There will be large glass panels in a Hexagonal shape toward the ceiling to allow these people to view what time of day it is and the weather conditions.
Again the only entrance is through the front office complex.
And I know what you're going to say. What about fires? A fire emergency system will be in place that will spray concentrated foam at to snuff out the flames rather than water which in certain periods fans the flames. Every unit will also be equipped with a fire extinguisher.
Give me one reason why my plan won't work?
The reason it won't work? City council members are greedy and only care about people who pay for rent. The goal here is to house the Homeless for 1 year, 12 month contract, only if they recently lost their houses or foreclosure or they were in a family situation whatever the case maybe.
What happens after 1 year are they kicked out? If they prove that they have found work and aren't doing drugs, they can have a 3 month extension.

Please understand that it takes time to warm up to someone and I do not want to feel forced to doing something. So don't push me to do voice chats right away or I may not respond anymore!

We booked 6 nights with a superhost couple months prior to our arrival. We were excited about the place as it is a rare find, in a great location and has 4.9 stars from 200+ reviews. When we arrived, our baby started having a fever in the evening. While trying to rest, we could hear the neighbours talking pretty clearly in our bedroom and realize we were dealing with paper thin walls. It was waking our baby up despite using our white noise machine.
While trying to take care of our baby throughout the night and deciding when to take her to emergency in a foreign language country, our baby was crying on and off. She was generally easy to console. The longest she cried for was about 5 minutes and the neighbours banged on our wall really loudly which scared us and got our baby even more upset. After the incident, my husband and I had a lot of anxiety and felt scared that she would cry and whenever she was crying. And on top of it, her fever was getting worse despite medication. We realize we cannot stay here and decided to leave the next morning, urgently looking for other accommodations because of the anxiety we felt.
We communicated the incident to the host and expressed that we felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and we would be checking out. I even extended an apology to her neighbour. She suggested we take our baby to the living room when she cries to let her cry it out because no neighbours would hear us there. This doesn't align our parenting style as babies will cry at night and we let her practice within reasonable time frame to console herself when she's not sick. Since she was sick, we were by her side the whole time consoling her so we were doing our best. To do what she suggested, we would need to be sleeping in the living/kitchen area on a sofa bed. The house rules does have silent hours starting from 10pm to not make any noise. But we dont consider baby crying as noise. Where we are from, her crying would not be heard through walls and noise would be from tv, music, loud bass etc.
After taking the garbage out, and taking her to emergency, I finally was able to file a ticket to airbnb. Rather than canceling using the cancel policy, which would provide us with a 50% refund for any remaining days, I tried to negotiate a refund cost of 4 nights. Host didn't respond until the next day so I reached out to airbnb for mediation.
The host sent a lengthy message saying they cannot accept it because we could still stay at her place as long as we respect her silent hours. She continued saying that the neighbours must be uncomfortable too with the crying since they have work the next day. And there is no other way of letting us know that the crying is disturbing them. Basically, as we took it, condoning the banging. No matter what I said, she didn't understand how uncomfortable we felt with the banging and insisted that we could still stay there, and offers no additional refund.
Airbnb tried to speak with the host on our behalf but they refused to alter the cost. We actually canceled the second leg of our trip and the second host at least kept it open with an option to provide us further refund despite their cancelation policy. Other companies we dealt with gave us the same thing as courtesy. I tried several times with airbnb but the host refuse to provide us additional refund. The place is not cheap and we lost so much money because of her paper thin walls. We honestly would not have booked her place if we had known that her walls are thin and our baby cries would be a disturbance to her neighbours. There are other accommodations and 4 star hotels at similar price point at the location. Finally, we just canceled so at least we got a little bit of our money refunded. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bothered asking airbnb to mediate and got an extra day of the partial refund throug cancelation policy.
With the paper thin walls, and how the wall banging was addressed, would this experience warrant a 1 star review?
Technically, they did nothing wrong because they are following the rules. She was responsive throughout and dealt with all my questions quickly. The only other thing is their place is infested with mosquitoes but mosquitoes are common where we are vacationing.
She will probably give us a 1 star review in return saying we disrespected their silent hours and left the pots by the sink even though we paid for a hefty cleaning fee.
(House rule is to leave the place like we found it. Despite wanting to take our daughter to the emergency, we tried to clean the place as best we could, took the garbage out per host request, cleaned our dishes and the only thing is that we left the pots by the sink to dry. I know these are typical things you do at an airbnb but I suspect we will get 1 star review because of it.)
After this experience, we will never use airbnb again so yes, I guess her 1 star review wouldn't matter.
But if a place doesn't meet your expectation, is there anything that can be done to get money back? Because from our experience, it seems to fall entirely under the hosts discretion. So what is the purpose of airbnb customer service?

10 grams and a Zap: a psilocybin mushroom and THC report.
Before I get into the report, let me tell you a bit about myself.
I am a young man who has been experimenting with psilocybin mushrooms for six months.
I have a high tolerance for mushrooms and THC, usually 8 grams is enough to get me quite high but anything lower than that is very manageable for me.
I start feeling the effects of edible THC at 50 mg.
I have an addictive personality and have a tendency to hyper fixate on things.
Right now I like mushrooms.
But enough about me, let’s get into it.
Preparation:
I got home from work at 3:45 pm on a Thursday, blended 10 grams of blue meanies and put the kettle on to boil.
I put the the mushrooms in a tea strainer, added a healthy shot of lemon juice, added some caffeine free herbal tea, and then took 200 mg of edible THC.
When the hot water was ready I poured into the cup, adding more lemon juice, then I went to take a shower while the mushrooms steeped.
I came back ten minutes later and stirred the tea with a fork for five minutes. Lastly I added some honey.
Trip report:
T+0: I consume the tea of the course of five minutes. When I finish my tea I go up stairs and lay down in my bed.
T+10: the come up starts… Blue meanies kick in faster than cubensis strains and the lemon and hot water broke down the psilocybin so the onset is very fast.
T+30 I am full on TRIPPIN. Distortion waves fill my vision and sparks start to crackle when I look around.
When I close my eyes I can see the visualization of sound waves as if shown on recording equipment.
T+40: I get the bright idea to go make a video in the woods while tripping on mushrooms.
I wanted to make sure my phone was fully charged so I got my battery pack to charge it. The pack was nearly dead so I decided to plug it in to the wall.
The outlet already had a plug in it and must have been faulty, because the second I plugged the cord in..
ZAP!
I hear a click, see a pop of blue sparks. And then got electrocuted. It was a fraction of a second and then it was gone.
I unplugged the batter and sat down on the floor to make sure I was ok.
T+50: I decided I was alright after a few minutes in the floor.
I got up and put the battery pack on the counter and plugged it into a different outlet.
Now here’s where things really start to go sideways.

I was able to pull the energy from the battery and into myself.
I sat down on the couch and wrote a poem.
I was rubbing my arm on the couch and suddenly I got electrocuted again.
The static build up shocked me like a jolt from an outlet.
This is when I panicked.
I suddenly realized that everything was electrocuting me. My clothes, wall outlets and batteries.
If I got too close to a power source I’d start to draw in the power.
I called my brother and he came to sit me.
I shook his hand and thanked him for coming and got electrocuted just from touching his hand.
I went into the back yard, got into my swing and covered myself in blankets. I stayed there for a few hours chatting with my family while I calmed down.
It’s now the next day and I can still feel electricity. When I touch my phone with two hands I form a circuit and my back starts to tense up from the electricity.

10 grams and a Zap: a psilocybin mushroom and THC report.
Before I get into the report, let me tell you a bit about myself.
I am a young man who has been experimenting with psilocybin mushrooms for six months.
I have a high tolerance for mushrooms and THC, usually 8 grams is enough to get me quite high but anything lower than that is very manageable for me.
I start feeling the effects of edible THC at 50 mg.
I have an addictive personality and have a tendency to hyper fixate on things.
Right now I like mushrooms.
But enough about me, let’s get into it.
Preparation:
I got home from work at 3:45 pm on a Thursday, blended 10 grams of blue meanies and put the kettle on to boil.
I put the mushrooms in a tea strainer, added a healthy shot of lemon juice, added some caffeine free herbal tea, and then took 200 mg of edible THC.
When the hot water was ready I poured it into the cup, adding more lemon juice, then I went to take a shower while the mushrooms steeped.
I came back ten minutes later and stirred the tea with a fork for five minutes. Lastly I added some honey.
Trip report:
T+0: I consume the tea of the course of five minutes. When I finish my tea I go up stairs and lay down in my bed.
T+10: the come up starts… Blue meanies kick in faster than cubensis strains and the lemon and hot water broke down the psilocybin so the onset is very fast.
T+30 I am full on TRIPPIN. Distortion waves fill my vision and sparks start to crackle when I look around.
When I close my eyes I can see the visualization of sound waves as if shown on recording equipment.
T+40: I get the bright idea to go make a video in the woods while tripping on mushrooms.
I wanted to make sure my phone was fully charged so I got my battery pack to charge it. The pack was nearly dead so I decided to plug it in to the wall.
The outlet already had a plug in it and must have been faulty, because the second I plugged the cord in..
ZAP!
I hear a click, see a pop of blue sparks. And then got electrocuted. It was a fraction of a second and then it was gone.
I unplugged the batter and sat down on the floor to make sure I was ok.
T+50: I decided I was alright after a few minutes in the floor.
I got up and put the battery pack on the counter and plugged it into a different outlet.

Me [28f] and my boyfriend [33m] have been together for 7+ years (7 of which we lived together, moved in almost immediately, and saw each other 24/7). We have always had problems in our relationship, but we both value them enough to overcome them.
We are currently together in another country where we planned to immigrate. The latest conflict revolves around this. I'm preparing dinner for us, and from the shared room, I hear a video he's watching - there's a child crying loudly for about 2 minutes. Those sounds trigger me, so I ask him to lower the volume. He asks, "Why?" I reply, "That sound irritates me." He says, "Well, then slam your head against the wall." I left, feeling offended. After eating, I told him that it was very rude and asked if he really thought I deserved those words. He said yes. Since then (it was 3 days ago), we have hardly spoken, but a few times I approached him and tried to start a conversation, saying that it was rude and that I don't want him to speak like that in the future. He doesn't care. He apologized once, but in subsequent conversations, he still said that he said everything right.
At the same time, he says that I exaggerate my sorrow about these rude words to manipulate him, to control the situation, and to make him chase after me like a princess. He thinks I need to feel like a victim.
He has always had issues with being rude. There was another incident last week when we went to the nearest town for a walk. Towards the end of the trip (2 minutes before the train stopped), I rested my head on his shoulder because I was tired. He asked irritably, "So, are you going to sleep the whole trip now?" (implying that I will ruin everything as always because I didn't get enough sleep). His tone offended me, so when we got off the train, my responses became short and less cheerful than before. He sensed it and started asking, "Are you fucking crazy?" several times, and I became more silent. Then I stopped talking altogether, and as we walked around the city together, he called me names like he said I was "fucking showing off," "lost my fucking mind," "hysterical," "worthless piece of shit," and a "fucking pathetic scumbag". I'm translating from russian, roughly, russian vulgar words just hit different in their intensity. I stayed silent the whole trip. The next day he apologized, but I know he's not sincere because he has apologized for similar things many times before.
Overall I tend to get silent when he's outright rude or I can sense that he's angry and that pisses him off too, he sees "ignoring him" as an ultimate disrespect.
When I tell him that I can't take it anymore, he tells me that I don't know the real world and that I don't realize how lucky I am to have him. He says I care too much about my emotions and that because of me, he doesn't have a good life, that I only focus on the bad things. We do have a lot of good things together, we have similar tastes in TV shows, he's an interesting conversationalist, and overall a very smart person with strong willpower. But he's also rude. We just talked about all of this again, and he concluded that he hasn't done anything really bad, and I'm just pretending to be sad on purpose. Now I'm sitting here, crying and thinking about all of this. He comes to me and asks why I'm crying. Then he concludes once again that I just want him to chase after me and comfort me, and that "nobody has offended me for three days" and that "I'm deliberately making myself upset". I don't know what to do. To be honest I just bought a ticket back to home, but my mind is panicking. I still can return it. I can't figure out where my priorities lie. On the one hand, I really love him, and I'll miss the times when we didn't fight. We've traveled to many countries together and been through a lot. But on the other hand, he diminishes the significance of his words. He says I live in "rose-colored glasses" and that this is how people talk in all relationships, and there's nothing terrible about it. Is that true?
Are there really relationships with no cussing? Is that realistic?
TL;DR: Boyfriend of 7+ years is consistently rude and verbally abusive, dismissing my feelings and saying I'm overreacting. I'm torn between leaving because of his behavior and staying because I love him. He claims it's normal, but I wonder if there are relationships without constant disrespect. Can I expect better treatment?
