I encountered a bookstore policy I deem unfair today. To be clear the manager was professional and friendly and helpful to the fullest extent she could. I have an issue with the rule she has to follow :)
I would love second opinions to see if this policy seems fair or unfair to others.
At the beginning of the semester, I requested a book loan from my financial aid (the loan is $500). I then ordered books that were on my syllabi. Because the professors of my classes said the books were not required, I never picked the order up.

I was told today (3/28) that the order has been returned and also can't be refunded. At this point I don't get the books nor do I get a refund.

The Godot community is starting to bloom with notable releases now starting to reach PC, console and mobile stores. Underneath those successes are tens of thousands of Indie devs who are leaning into the engine, tinkering, learning and building the foundation for prototypes and games of their own. This process naturally involves hundreds of prototypes and failed projects. Starting from scratch so often, this rinse and repeat process can become very time consuming and lead to project fatigue or even burnout. That is where Nodot comes in.
Nodot is a library of godot nodes and scripts that inject common game functionality into a project with very low effort. Godot's node system offers a very powerful customizable visual development workflow. However, out of the box, Godot's nodes only have low level functionality. The smaller blocks used to build the fundamentals of any kind of game. This is not a flaw of Godot, rather, building higher level components involves a lot of "opinionated implementations" of common game functionality and curating those implementations would be impossible at the engine level. Nodot, being third party, is culturally free and agile enough to create and curate these nodes. 2023.03.28 19:31 _Nihilism Workaround for multiplayer missing data packs when new installing on PS5
After installing MW on my PS5 (Disc Version) I had troubles to get the multiplayer working. I had the error message data “data packs missing” and “store not available” when trying to install the data packs. Manage game content and installing data packs outside the game was also not working for me. So my workaround was to check Region of my Disc at the back of the disc cover (it was region 2). I made a whole new ps account with location Germany. I installed the game all over again disconnected from the internet. I hopped in the game once but offline. Then I connected to the internet again and installed the update. After game restart I created a whole new activision account and logged in. Afterwards, in the game there will be a message to install content you want to play e.g. warzone, multiplayer, campaign or special ops. I installed everything, all the packs available and inside the game itself without closing MW while downloading. When everything was installed I could access multiplayer with the new account. Then I switched back to my main ps account and there I could play MW again with my old activision account. Hope this workaround helps other players who struggled with the same issue.

This is like movies, where you need multiple keys to open the treasure and each key is hidden in different places. Common Single key VS MultisigAs we can imagine both things have its pros and cons. For example, one single key is easier to manage but it is also an easier target for scams.However, Multisig have the potential to solve this problem. One of the most common configuration is to require a combination of 2/3 keys where you only need 2 of the 3 keys to access the wallet but you can have whatever variations you want. For example, you can create some sort of 2FA mechanism where you can have one private key stored in one paper notebook and the other in another one. This way you need both to access your funds. But like everything, it has it cons if you configure a multisig of 2/2. If you lose one of them, you are screwed. I think multisig wallets can be useful for big corporations and also for marriages where both parties own a key and the third one is protected in the bank or some sort of legal custodian. First time poster. Ive had an electric scoot for about 3 years now. Im pretty poor, I have no car, and although I have fun riding my scooter, I use it as my main mode of transportation (I live in a small city where this is possible). I use it almost every single day. I started with a Gotrax and although it was nice and got me to work every day, I needed something faster and more durable. So I really bawled out and bought a 1000 dollar vsett 8. 24mph, metal construction, nice shocks, this thing is perfect. Well, I put almost 1500 miles on it in a little over a year, and my back brake cable snapped. I've also had to replace the front tire, and I'm noticing the charge lasts for less time and Im getting less power from the motor. I just bought a new motor from AliExpress and I was going to get a new battery but they're almost as expensive as the scooter. I also bought a new brake cable, but i just got an email from Urban Machina telling me they dont have it in stock, their website was listed wrong.
The thing is, finding even those parts was so hard. I feel like I cant find any retailer of spare parts. It was hard enough to get the actual Vsett, let alone the spare tire. I had to buy three before i got the correct one. (By the way, i live in the US).
My question for you lovely community members is this: why is it so hard to find parts? Is there a secret I'm missing? This isnt the first time Ive buoght a part from an online store and they've emailed me later telling me its out of stock. Is there anything I can do to make getting parts easier?
My second question is for your opinion: should i be spending money on fixing my vsett8, or should I be saving my money for a more durable and slightly faster scoot that has more access to parts and doesnt break as easily? What durable and fast models do you like without geting close to 3k? Maybe the vsett is crap? Its held up well, but maybe there is better out there? Fyi, I ride in almost all weather and i need speed to keep up with traffic, otherwise they honk and dangerously pass me in oncoming traffic. Yes I've been hit before, but it was ultimately fine, and not my fault. I typically follow driving rules.
Anyway TLDR: i need help understanding where I can get parts and if there's a better scooter than the vsett 8 for daily commutes without breaking the bank.

I went to the gym a bit before she was home, and on my way home about 8, I stopped for Arbys because I hadn’t eaten anything to for dinner yet. My partner is a vegetarian and it was 8: I didn’t bother asking if I should pick something up for her.
Big mistake, apparently. She was pretty upset that I didn’t call to offer even though she would have said no. It escalated a bit and I finally said something like “I’m not your caretaker”. And I flipped the scenario: she’d been home for hours and known I was out…why didn’t she think to offer me some dinner? That seemed to me a symmetrical consideration.
She then called her parents on speaker phone to ask them about their opinions on the matter: color me shocked they agreed completely with her and had some interesting remarks about how I’m “always so self-centered” (but that’s an issue for another time).
The whole thing left me feeling like I was being punked: I was honestly laughing till I realized she was being serious. So I am wondering AITA? It seems silly but this has become a major sticking point in our relationship, since we’re at a pretty critical junction (about to move 7 hours away, looking at real estate together, etc).
Background: we both work full time. I work from home. Most of the time, I cook dinner for the both of us. I make coffee and breakfast (usually simple, like toast and eggs) every morning before work. She is perfectly capable of doing these things (I.e. no disabilities etc.) over the 4 years of our relationship probably 75% of the food she’s eaten has been prepped by me: I don’t make a habit of doing this sort of fast food thing.

Hello, I've been smoking since I was fifteen but managed to quit for 2 years until I was 18 and made friends that smoked. I have been smoking everyday since October 2017 and am at the point where I want to quit but don't know how. I haven't made it past 44 hours. As soon as I finish a pack I feel the need to buy another. I've gone around town at midnight searching for a store with my cigarettes. I've asked friends for help and even had a punishment system in place for smoking. I made a deal with my brother that I'd I smoked, I could smoke weed, but if I'm not smoking weed I can't smoke anything. I quit weed for my job and I'm having no problems there. I tried to make yesterday day one, just to smoke 6 cigarettes. Today was supposed to be day one and I woke up and smoked. I don't know how to quit anymore and when I try I can't make it 2 full days. I don't know what to do. I normally smoked at work while I'm working. I smoke when I drive, anytime I'm bored. It's a part of my daily routine at this point. I've been told you can't quit until you want to. I want to so badly. They're disgusting and make me feel sick, but I can't seem to stop.

Basically i want to know about what works and doesnt work with steam, since i have a gaming pc i know about some stuff but it might not be 100% the same for the steam deck.
I just got it yesterday and been messing with the settings, but some stuff im not sure how it works.
Gpu clock, on pc if you are able to fix it to a certain clock, fps is much more stable i assume is the same for steam deck, but how much does it affect performance ? Is it rly worth it to lock it at a certain clock if locked at a very achievable fps ? And whats the impact on battery life ?
Cpu power limit, honestly why the fk when i enable it and dont move the slider (even if the slider is already at 15w) the cpu power drops and so does fps, also why would such setting matter ? Doesnt limitting it hinders performance and possible introduce stutter with no real gain ?
Vram, i actually did not mess with that setting but i see all kinds of sugestion so idk whats worth doing really, the steam deck with the default 1gb seems to go to 4gb anyway, would using 4gb in bios allow it to go a lil further ? Or just usefull maybe for stability ?
Also i have a fk ton of games on epic games store, but i heard steam games run 1000x better than any other launcher due to shader caching, is there anyway to reduce stuttefps drops ? I assume the vram and locked gpu clock would help with that no ?

I just got it yesterday and been messing with the settings, but some stuff im not sure how it works.
Gpu clock, on pc if you are able to fix it to a certain clock, fps is much more stable i assume is the same for steam deck, but how much does it affect performance ? Is it rly worth it to lock it at a certain clock if locked at a very achievable fps ? And whats the impact on battery life ?

Apologies as this is probably a stupid question. Do international flights generally include baggage stored in the hold in the cost of the flight? and the baggage policies on the websites just apply to carry-ons? I've booked a flight with Bamboo Airways to Vietnam and the only baggage policy I can see is about a carry-on. My flight booking says I can have up to 45kgs of baggage, I assume that means in the hold? Help! I'm a first time traveller and I'm worried if I messed up
