I am looking at the DS923+ but before I jump in and buy one I am after some advise to confirm I am buying the right product.
I have a home network and 4 Macs that I want to do backups for as well as being able to use the drive to run virtual machines (as laptop I need to run VM on only has 500gb drive).
Questions: 1. Would the 923+ work and be able to cope with 4 different machines being backed up on to it? 2. What drives are best? Do I need SSDs or will ItonWolf (or similar) be just as good? 3. How noisy are they? 4. How big do I make the drives? ( currently have a few TB portable drives with various bits of data on I would also like to centralise) 4. And the catch all - what am I not taking into consideration here?!?

Hello everyone, my name is Chaz. I'm new here and I'm sure you can guess what I'm doing here. 8 years ago I broke my femur horribly longboarding, I did high speed downhill stuff and I slid into a tree going about 35mph or so. I got stupid that day and took a small hill for granted because I had done higher speeds before, that would turn out to be a huge life altering mistake. (idk if people wanna see x-rays but if ou find yourself curious haha I do have them for you fellow curious people 😂) it snapped in half and broke into some pieces, when it snapped it tore through the entire group of muscles there in the thigh. Instead of just needing to set it and cut a small hole for a rod the doc had to cut a big ol incision in the side of my thigh to sorta puzzle together the pieces. All this to say it's permanently effected how I walk, and the muscles all throughout my leg, through my knee and my hip are all wonky now. Not to mention I tore my meniscus when I wrecked right in the center furthest away from any blood supply, so it's sewn up in there but the tear is not really fully healed and never will. One bad physical therapist and the lack of finances in my family led to a lack of crucial aftercare. My leg still gives me issues daily but I feel it is probably manageable.
The pain medication: I grew up in a troubled household with two parents addicted to painkillers. With this it was almost as if me breaking my leg was an opportunity for them to rope me into that, as if they wanted me to empathize more. I do believe it came from a place of love, but the mindset was not there to see the damage they were doing maybe. I was 15 when I broke my femur, and as soon as the doc prescriptions stopped they were offering me some of there's because I would only need a quarter of one maybe once or twice a day (they have 30mg oxycodone) and every time I expressed guilt or sadness for this new found reliance on painkillers I had watched breakdown my parents, they would tell me that I was falling into the publics false narrative and that my pain was real (basically world against us type thinking) and I fell for it. Fast forward 5 years of an oxycodone dependency getting progressively worse as I got out on my own and started fighting with some of these internalized feelings. I met a woman and she helped me find the motivation to stop. THERE IT WAS: an amazing proposal of something that would totally stave off withdrawals... kratom. It worked, and I was so excited, I didn't go through any withdrawals. But then the kratom sort of replaced it and has been a constant for about 4 years now.
Quitting kratom: now here I am, I have made progress, I've come from 24GPD now I'm down to 9GPD. I usually take 2 beginning of day and 7 late night. I'm trying to get it to just one dose a day because I have a theory that it will help me make more progress. Now I'm wondering for everyone here who has quit. At what point could I maybe just go cold turkey and not get horribly sick or have too bad of withdrawal symptoms. I work a very physically demanding job where I'm on my feet, moving heavy stuff all day basically. But I just want to be done with the kratom as soon as I can. If it's not really possible to just cold turkey at some point should I try taking 1 gram away each day? Every other day maybe? I truly don't know where to go from here now that I'm down to a lower amount it seems harder but I want to do it right so I don't backslide.

1. Can allies/enemies hear K/DA seraphine passive music? Or will it only be audible to me, like Evelynn's passive?
2. Are the missions to unlock skins difficult? How long does it take to get them? Can you tell me more about it?

I planned to spend my first summer night conquering Summoner's Rift as Super Star Seraphine and I admit, I thought you get all 3 skins immediately after buying, but turns out you don't ;p

During my surgery, my doctor didn't expect that one of the area of my bone he tried to put anchor in ( one out of 5 anchors) was so brittle. I'm female in my mid 40s and he didn't expect this from me at all esp I lift weights since in my 20s .
So surgery was more complicated with bone graft he needed to put in.. Hence my recovery is slower. I went ahead to see him before my 6 months appt in May.I'm about 4.5 months now but last week my doctor said I'm one month behind due to he grafting as he expected. Did xray and everything looks good.
I have full ROM but my arm will immediately goes down ( if I don't hold it up with my non surgical arm) as I don't have any strength to hold it. No pain.
The past month between PT and gym I been working non stop with going back to lifting weights, except anything overhead . Strong enough to do push ups, rows , front and lat raises etc. Progress though has been slower than the first 3 months. Wasn't allowed any strengthening until 3 months mark. ( I mean I can put put dishes up on cabinet, reaching my garage door remote which is over my head in the car for example)
So I was wondering if anybody had bone graft done and if so , do u eventually get your fully functioned shoulder and how long and what are things you can do to help ? I know I have to be patient as this is more like a marathon to me instead of a short 5k !
I get frustrated some days seeing people within 2 or 4 months and already back to functioned normal . But trying to keep my positive attitude most days!

Hey fellow graphic / visual designers, I would like you to share your opinion on which of the below jobs you would choose. All full-time. You can put it in order of preference - any pros / cons you'd imagine would be helpful.
A) In-house for a tech startup (mostly doing marketing / packaging of the product), 30 employees, 100% remote, meetings held sometimes at 5am or 8pm due to time difference with other offices, the company being only a few years old, management seems a little chaotic. Permanent position.
B) In-house for a large retailer, though not international (owns multiple fashion brands), 100+ employees, 1day per week remote, lots of hands-on fun tangible projects for storefront & POS. Standard 9-5 job, but 1.5 hour commute one way. They've been around 20 years or so, so pretty established. Permanent position.
C) In-house for a global home appliance company, very established and big, with 30,000 employees. Full-remote, good pay & seems stable. 1 year contract position. The job is mostly print.
A bit about my situation - I've just moved cities and am job hunting, and have a few options opened up for me - but I'm a little lost after having worked in a stressful design agency, and want a bit more of a healthy lifestyle. I hate her so much it’s sometimes impossible to look at her. I’m 15 and for almost half my life she was in an abusive relationship with a man and they ended up having 2 children together, my younger sister and brother. I hated him with every fibre in my body for what he would to her, I hated my mum for constantly letting him back into our lives even after putting him in jail for hurting her, I hate how I was depressed and anxious to leave the house at age 12 for fear of coming home and finding her dead, I hate how she saw I was self harming because of him being in our lives but she chose to ignore it so she could be happy for another week until he eventually got mad at something at hit her.
He’s doesn’t live with us anymore but he just recently got out of jail and wants to see my younger siblings and I’m terrified that she’s going to see him again and let him back into our lives even though she says that she is a lot more mentally stable now than she was then. I know I shouldn’t hate her because domestic violence is such an awful situation to be in and I know it is a lot more complicated than just packing a bag and leaving.
whenever she gets mad at something she makes sure that everyone knows it by getting mad at us for the simplest things or if she can’t go to sleep in the middle of the night she will scream and blame it on all of us. If any of her children express angry emotions towards her she will threaten to knock our teeth in. I can’t wait to graduate high school and never see her again.
is it normal for me to be jealous of my younger siblings? They were only babies when all of the abuse was happening and they don’t seem to have any recollection of it. I get very jealous of them when I remember how I grew up and how I had to comfort my mother whenever she was upset but my younger siblings just get to be normal children who get to stay children for as long as possible and I do want what is best for them but I hate how she can be the best mum possible for them but I got a mother who constantly needed support from an 8 year old girl who was terrified of finding her dead mothers body and imagining all the ways she would kill her step father.

I am currently working a 9-5 office job, and the job was advertised as a £16,000 + commission role; and even classified it on the offer letter. I have been working there for almost 4 months and I haven’t received any base only commission, I was promised that if during my training a close any deal I’ll get £200 but I never once seen that money.
Recently, it has left a toll on my work ethic as due to not earning a base but expected to work 8 hours a day I haven’t been able to stay motivated to work those hours, along with having to work a second job at night to get by.
I am 19 years old, so at first I didn’t think it was anything too weird that I didn’t have to sign a contract due to most of my past jobs not having me sign one; however, after speaking to my girlfriend,family and friends it seems really sketchy.
I usually end up feeling drained and not motivated to do a full 8 hours of work and they have noticed my performance going down and complained that I only realistically done 2-3 hours of work that day.
