im not s**idal btw just to preface. i hope somebody reads this fully. im not tryna be a classic whiner on this sub but i have no one to talk to.
its about 2 am rn, ive cried a lot and im not doing good right now. infact i dont remember the last time I ever really was thriving. maybe when i was 2? who knows. this all spiraled from a convo i had with a friend (P).
well i texted P abt something kind of unrelated, but i was just texting her abt me maybe liking my guy friend, but i cant really tell. we started talking about how it feels to be the friends that never get hit on, etc. not sure if that part of the convo really contributed to anything, but i'll just put that there. and then we started to talk about her crush, and then she asked me if i knew our friend's crush (lets call her E). I knew about E's previous crush, but I wasnt so sure I knew so she told me. Yup, i didnt know. Now see, obviously no ones obligated to tell me who they have a crush on or anything, but i always tell her who i have a crush on or wtv. and we're good friends, but this made me realize (it wanst the only thing, just the thing that mde me realize) that we have grown a bit distant.
Here comes the most important part: now why are we distant? Well, it all starts with our good friend A. A and I have known each other the longest (since we were 4, we're now 16), but we're not that close. She comes from a very unemotional house, where her parents werent the most affectionate. Thus I think she is very unemotional and probably doesnt realize the impact of things she says. I started noticing around 6+ months back that she was starting to slightly disrespect me, and would laugh at everything i say. At first I didnt think too much of it, then she started calling me stupid, dumb, etc. Supposed to be in a friend way, but the way she said it, the nonchalance, the amount of times, the fact that i kid you not she did this with NOBODY in our group, made me start to rethink her actions. I started noticing, because we eat lunch together (A, P, E, and another a but like she doenst really have a part in this), that she is CONSTANTLY laughing at everything and that im always a joke in the group. If i say something slighly quirky or wtv she'll laugh, give a side eye, and everyone will join in. I can't fully explain it well, but its that her jokes about me always go too far, calling me stupid/dumb, laughing at everyy single thing i do, making me feel like I joke. AHH i dont know why i cant explain in full what she does. anyways, even AFTER i told her abt it (she acknowledged, apologized), she continued to do it. and my friends? who see that i get visibly upset and i dont like it? they laugh along. This essay is intended to finally collate findings regarding Petornia, a world created by a “Dungeon Daddy” also known as “Avery” or simply “bonkusanna” (these are all self-given titles). It has become very noticeable that many aspects of this world have an odd similarity to aspects of another world, that being “Elden Ring”. Elden ring is a 2022 action role playing game created by FromSoftware—the creators of the widely popular “Dark Souls” and “Demon Souls” series. Elden ring follows the titular character, John Eldenring, on his journey to reassemble his mom’s broken wedding ring and discover the reason for his parent’s divorce (his mom and dad are the same person, as it happens). Petornia is a massive sprawling and expanding DND world, with many campaigns, stories, and characters. Naturally, one would assume that these two are completely unrelated. But that could not be further from the truth.
The similarities begin with simple items—one for one replicas of one another. Firstly, there exists a special type of sword in Petornia, known as a “night sword.” These swords are made in literal voids and have the appearance of the night sky in their metal. However, a sword known as the “sword of night and flame” is a popular weapon in Elden Ring as well. In Elden ring, it appears as a sacred sword of the Carian royal family, a family of moon-worshiping astrologers. This sword also has a suspiciously distinct appearance, bearing the dark star-studded night sky within its blade. The distinct crossover is undeniable. However, item similarities do not end there. Next, certain characters in Petornia carry daggers designed specifically for assassins. These blades belong to the Great San(d)s, a vaguely middle-eastern country of furries with a human population of about four or five. It may be said that this unique concept is all on its own, not equivalent to anything anywhere else. But that sentiment couldn’t be further from the truth, due to the existence of the “Assassin’s crimson dagger” in Elden Ring. This seemingly “unique” weapon somehow has an exact counterpart in Elden Ring, a counterpart described as “the darkly gleaming blades…those which gave the demigods their first taste of death.” Even from the name of the item, it is clear what its purpose is. It is difficult to believe two daggers of the exact same purpose and intention exist in both Elden Ring and Petornia by coincidence. For the final item, the citation is the magical nameless ax once wielded by Elk Nephidra. This ax was capable of channeling the power of deities, and granted strength unto Elk like nothing else could. When he made use of the ax, he found himself with increased physical power as well as magical boosts to strong charging attacks. With this unique set of abilities, set up through multiple lore moments (which are beyond the scope of this essay), a casual player might believe this is the first truly unique weapon in this essay. But the facts do not lie—and it exists by another name in Elden Ring as well, known only as the “Executioner’s Greataxe.” The damning evidence lies in this item’s skill description. To quote directly from the wiki, “Its skill, War Cry, grants the user the ability to temporarily increase attack power. While active, strong attacks change to charging attacks.” This is almost word for word the exact abilities of Elk Nephidra’s ax. With three items crossing over, each perfectly matching up with items in Elden Ring, this cannot be called a coincidence. So what then should this be called? That topic will be discussed later in this essay.

Next to be covered is characters that cross between Petornia and Elden Ring. First on the list is “Crowley”, a Petornia character that seems akin to the devil, but with less charisma and more wacky tumblr user personality. His appearances in early sessions of both “Bad Sides of War” and “Darkton” caused numerous issues for the protagonists of those respective campaigns. He also appears to be some sort of pedophile, as during one of his frequent possessions, he caused a young vampire woman (who was almost certainly underage) to rifle through a large bucket of spit. She was forced to do this as Crowley controlled her mind, in a sick act that only a prolific sex offender could think of. The poor woman wasn’t even allowed to wash her hands afterwards. Unfortunately, what makes this crime even more hideous is that it seems to have roots in Elden Ring too, as a tumblr usechild molester exists there too. He goes by the name Mohg, and is responsible for kidnapping the terminally underage golden prince Miquella, and then keeping him in his sex dungeon. Both Mohg and Crowley utilize imagery of traditional pagan demons and devils, and express their sick and twisted desires upon defenseless innocent children. The connection between the two is blatantly clear. Another character with odd similarities is Linut, the current orc chief in charge of the raids on Agg. His disposition is about what is expected from orcs, with a desire for blood and death by combat. However, what sets him apart from other characters is that he actually fights for a solid cause. His people need fertile land upon which to sow their seeds. As such, he does not care about the lives he has to extinguish for that to work. As far as Elden ring is concerned, minus the orcish heritage, Godfrey: First Elden lord is a perfect match. Godfrey, after losing the favor of elden ring (his wife decided she wanted to have sex with herself and divorced him) left the land and traveled the badlands. Whilst there he became Horah Loux, chieftain of the badlands. And when he returned to the golden shores, he intended to conquer and become Elden Lord. He also did not care who he had to kill to accomplish that. With these two characters in mind, it becomes more and more obvious that these similarities are more than just random happenstance. The Petornia characters give the feeling of intention, as if they were intentional parallels to Elden Ring characters. But the evidence does not stop there. The main argument against all of the prior information is that these crossovers and mirrored characters are simply coincidences, that it is totally possible for the Dungeon Crawler man to write characters and items that just happen to sound like items and people in Elden Ring. However, it can also be said that the quantity of these similarities speaks for itself. The fact that this list is abbreviated for brevity indicates that it is not the full list of every single concept that remains the same between each of the stories. When the number of “coincidences” continually stacks toward infinitum, the believability of such a theory as “it is all a coincidence” comes into question. Another argument is simply “who cares?” This is the classic existential argument, calling into question whether the similarities really matter at all. That question has three responses, each of which can be decided upon by their own merit. First, the writer of this essay cares, clearly, because they took the time to write a multi-paragraph essay about it. Second, devaluing difficult yet important types of conversation is a good way to never work through it. If everyone were to ignore these connections, the audiences of Elden ring and Petornia would never have a definitive reason why their worlds are so similar. Finally, the response of “who cares” is invalidated by the final conclusive piece of evidence this essay wishes to cite. More important than any single character, wider scale than some items, this final piece of evidence is a single Petornia event that is practically copied word for word from Elden Ring. This event is the shattering of the “light” and “dark” cores in Petornia. This event included the shattering of the twin batteries of hood and evil, and resulted in the dispersion of shards of these two cores across the Petornia world. This event had far reaching consequences, both for the light deities who could no longer access their power through channels, and for the dark demons who could not access their power for the same reason. This threw the world into turmoil, causing confusion and panic as the fear wore on. To this day, the light core and dark core have still not been repaired, left to exert their influence as broken shards. As is custom, next comes the Elden ring event—the equivalent here called “the Shattering” in which Queen Marika grew angry about her children’s demise, decided to smash her wedding ring (the elden ring) then hide inside a tree for millennia. This event had far reaching consequences too—causing a massive war between her children for runes, and the by-and-by destructuion If Elden Ring’s world. This is exactly how in the chaos following the dark and light core shattering, chaos ensued as gods lost the ability to create order and demons lost the ability to influence order. These events are clearly one and the same, the Petornia event heavily drawing from the central premise of Elden Ring’s storyline to tell it’s story. The question now becomes, what to do with this information? Where does this leave the situation? From the examples given it is undeniable that content from Elden Ring appeared in Petornia. And not only that, but major story beats, themes, characters, ideas, items, and storylines as well. Based on this evidence, it can only be said that “Avery Bonkusanna Nilla Wafer Dm” is a cowardly hack writer who plagiarized the entire world of petornia from elden ring. The connections are so obvious they become glaring, gaping wounds in petornia’s story. Perhaps in arc two of this massive world Avery will borrow his ideas less from elden ring and more from somewhere else.

Hi there-
I have a Razer headset with detachable microphone and a Razer Blade 15. I have been using the two with no issue up until the other day.
I am not sure what happened, but now I can still hear just fine with my headset, but I have to be shouting for the microphone to barely detect a whisper. I can tell it's detecting a whisper in Windows Sound Settings.
I have checked to confirm my drivers are up to date, and just tried the repair function with Synapse.
The microphone functionality of the headset works just fine on my XBOX so it has to be a problem with either Windows or (more likely) Synapse.
In Synapse, it recognizes 'Razer USB Sound Card' and when I click on that and go to 'MIC' the 'MICROPHONE' panel in the top left is grayed out and I can't adjust the 'MIC VOLUME' (though it is set at 100.)
All this leads me to believe it is certainly a Synapse problem but I'm not sure what to do?

With E3 dead, the void left behind is official. It was an event I looked forward to every year, and while there are some happenings that are picking up the pieces, I don't think they'll ever quite be the same.
Summer Game Fest
Last year's Keigh3 didn't really impress, but Keighley had quite the set of VGA reveals, that was probably the best such reveal show I've seen in years. Thus, I'm more optimistic about the show this year. I expect this is the place we'll see more Armored Core, but apart from that I expect the show to be fairly indie based. I'm definitely excited to see some new indies. It's been a long time since the Witness, I'm hopeful that this is where we finally get to see Jonathan Blow's Sokoban game. As Judas was revealed at the VGAs, this feels like the most appropriate venue for more information on that, even if I'm just hoping over expecting it to show up. Lastly I hope Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree shows up here with a release date.
Xbox
Is this the year Xbox finally delivers the showcase I've believed them capable of for the past several years? I think they've generally had the best showcases over those past several years, but they've always been heavily third party based. This year, Sony did the Xbox thing bringing mostly third parties, so now it's Microsoft's time to strike. Hopefully they will deliver the same quality third party show as years past, but actually couple it with a compelling first party showing.
I hope this is the year we finally see proper reveals of what their long in development games look like. I'm most excited for Avowed, because I really just want The Elder Scrolls VI. I expect to love Starfield, but like Spider-Man 2, I don't really need to see more of it. I do love listening to Todd sell me on a game though.
From the rest of the Bethesda camp I expect we'll see either Indiana Jones or Wolfenstein 3, and while I'd be happy with either, my money would be on Wolf3D. I believe Quake is probably getting rebooted at id, but I would expect that to be revealed at QuakeCon. If it is real and revealed here, I will lose my mind though. I don't really expect much else from Bethesda outside of the usual TES: Online, Fallout 76, and maybe some Hi-Fi Rush DLC.
From Microsoft proper I already mentioned Avowed, but I expect we'll finally see what a Playground Fable looks like. I didn't care for II or III, but the first holds a special place in my heart. Forza will doubtlessly show up for those car enthusiasts out there (not me). I don't really expect it, but I hope to see Perfect Dark. Hellblade II will probably have a decent showing, but even as someone who enjoyed the first game, I can't say it had me craving a sequel. These are just the games we for sure know exist.
There are plenty of games we don't know for sure exist I'm hoping to see revealed. Gears 6 would tickle my fancy. Seeing what Compulsion has been up to with their bigger budget would be intriguing. It still feels a bit soon, but the rumblings around InXile's Project Cobalt have me excited about a potential reveal. Apart from that I'd always be happy to see other new IPs and/or series revivals coming from their protruding stable of studios.
I also hope the indies and third parties have a good showing here like they have in the past as well. And obviously I hope to see Hollow Knight: Silksong shadow dropped.
Nintendo
I suppose I think the Switch is beginning to overstay its welcome as a really weak machine, and hope the Super Switch is on the table. As for games, I hope one day to see the F-Zero sequel I so desperately crave since GX is the best racing game period, and I want more. Metroid Prime 4 would also be exciting to see. A new 3D Mario would also be pretty rad. Make these three launch window titles for the Super Switch and I'll feel an excitement about Nintendo I haven't felt since I was a kid.
Sony
Sony's show already happened, and it was a bit like past Xbox shows, which is to say pretty solid but disappointing. I expected more after them taking a year off, but I saw some games that piqued my interest. Sword of the Sea is probably the game that most excited me. I played through the Marathon games a few years ago, and got excited about that being rebooted, until I learned what it really was... The Talos Principle 2 should be cool, but while I enjoyed the first, I find it to be one of the lesser first person puzzlers that gets a lot of buzz. Dragon's Dogma II should also be great, provided Capcom keeps their hot streak going. Apart from these games I wasn't particularly interested anything else they showed. Spider-Man 2 feels like a known quantity, so it wasn't really exciting to see. Perhaps that's unfair to Sony and Insomniac as I expect the game will be great. Kraven being a key villain is a good choice.
Third Parties
Capcom already showed Dragon's Dogma II, so I don't feel like I need to see anything else from them.
Konami showed off a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, but more of an original version kind of guy. I'm mostly just hoping they were holding back a Castlevania reveal for another show.
Activision/Blizzard might show a new COD, but that wouldn't really move the needle for me. Any exciting Blizzard stuff is probably reserved for BlizzCon. Give me StarCraft III.
I feel like EA could impress me with things I'm failing to consider, but I mostly just want Titanfall 3.
The only thing Ubisoft could show me to get me excited about them is Splinter Cell.
That just about wraps it up. I did this last year and capped things off with a quick list of "at least somewhat feasible" (As in they own the IP... probably) pipedream (as in not going to happen) announcements I'm hoping to get out of this year's Not-E3. Unfortunately for me, it turns out this was a pretty easy copy/paste (mostly) from last year.

Some spoilers ahead for various recent lightsaber showings, mostly out of context.
Lightsabers aren't supposed to bounce.
Sometimes they hit and kill like a knife through butter.
Other times they take many hits to kill, more like an ordinary sword.
And of course, why are we giving deadly weapons to kids?
Welcome to a thought that's been bouncing around in my brain for a few weeks. The idea that, like the Force, the Lightsaber is a weapon that works in different ways both for different wielders, different circumstances, and different training.
We know especially now in canon that lightsaber crystals are somewhat attuned to their wearer, enough so that they must be bled to work properly for those turned to the dark side, and that they can be reclaimed into white crystals after that.
What does that mean?
Kyber crystals have feelings, emotions, bonds with their owner - and more importantly, that attachment to a lightsaber on a force level is crucial to its function. We see inconsistent damage by Jedi's blades, some cutting effortlessly through their foes and objects without concern, others struggling to wound people, causing light burns and cuts in the course of a fight and requiring several hits to do the job.
Sometimes it burns wounds to cautery, other times sloppily bisects an arm and sprays blood over a cantina floor. This can happen sometimes within the same movie or game, like in JFO when Dagan's arm is cut off, while the rest of the game features numerous hits to kill enemies. Some games, like the Jedi Outcast series, dismember on kill and auto-parry, treating the blade as absolute when poked into objects even without an animation.
We know lightsabers are inconsistent between appearances - but what if that's the point? Sometimes it bounces off of basic vibroswords, sometimes it slices through ship plating or cuts entire tie fighters to ribbons.
My thought is that this has something to do with the attunement to a force user that also goes with bleeding. Lightsabers have a mind of their own, connected with the living force. At absolute intent and alignment with a lightsaber, you can hold the blade in your hand if you so choose - though it's not advisable. Likewise, at absolute carelessness and disagreement, a Lightsaber can't even manage to fend off ordinary swords.
Do or do not, there is no try. That's what Yoda, the greatest swordsman in the Jedi Order, says. Because that's how you fight best with a lightsaber. Parrying, reflecting blaster bolts, striking and slashing, if you don't believe in the power of the weapon in your hand, you can't achieve effects with it.
When Obi-Wan's blade bounces in Kenobi, we can treat that as a production oversight - or treat it as Kenobi's relative detachment from a weapon he hasn't used in years, left to rot in the sands of Tatooine. Likewise, when his blade slices clean through Maul's and kills him in the desert, he's at his peak of power, an old Samurai with absolute intention. In the hands of a master like Qui-Gon Jinn, it can cut through multiple layers of blast doors, but can't hope to do so in the hands of a non-user, sloppily whirring about like Paz Visla, who finds the relatively powerful Darksaber catching on random objects.
And of course, when it comes to family, you rarely want to kill eachother or have pure dark or light intent. Luke and Vader are bouncing those blades all over the place, but that's the most intense
What can we conclude from this variety of showings with lightsabers? Is Disney/Lucas inconsistent with how they're supposed operate, or are they as attuned to the force as their users, and as inconsistent?
Hard to say, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that how well attuned you are to a lightsaber and focused you are as a wielder lets you achieve things with the blade that are incredible, and if you're neither of those things you'll struggle to make your magic laser sword be as magical as it can be. Hopefully ya'll find this helpful to think about.

My steam wishlist

Jesse Lang had a stellar college basketball career playing for the Florida Gators. After spending three seasons there, and winning the national title, Jesse felt he had nothing else to prove, and so, he made himself eligible for the 2022 NBA draft. As fate would have it, Jesse was drafted 5th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Jesse could not have been happier. The 76ers were one of the most storied franchises in NBA history, and on top of that, they already had elite players in Joel Embiid and James Harden.
The Sixers fans, however, were not at all happy about Jesse being drafted. They wanted Brad Snow, a small forward (The same position Jesse played) out of the University of Kentucky. The Sixers fans booed Jesse. Snow was drafted 6th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers. Snow, much like the Sixers fans, hated Jesse because he was drafted ahead of him. This sparked a rivalry between the 5th and 6th picks. Snow was an athletic freak, but he hadn’t had as impressive of a college career as Jesse, nor was he as skilled.
Jesse was a good shooter, defender, and passer. Essentially, he was a taller John Stockton. He was a lanky, 6 foot 10 white kid who grew up on a ranch in Utah. He wasn’t very athletic, but he was skilled. In fact it was his height and skill which allowed him to play all five positions: Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Power Forward, and Center, much like Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. Yes, Snow was athletic, and had lots of potential, but he wasn’t skilled the way Jesse was, and that’s why the Sixers picked Jesse, and not him.
When Jesse joined the 76ers, he wasn’t a starter right away, and instead, was coming off the bench, until his seventh game, when he was given a spot on the starting lineup, after averaging 36.1 points, 15.1 assists, 6.5 steals, and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 87% from the field, and 76% from the three point line. Needless to say, Jesse averaged video game-like numbers, which was highly impressive, especially as a rookie. As the season progressed, the Sixers fans regretted ever booing him. Jesse formed a big three with Embiid and Harden, and the Sixers were the most exciting team in the league, and heavy favorites to win the championship. By the end of the season, the 76ers had a franchise best record of 71-11. Jesse was the unanimous pick for rookie of the year, as well as the defensive player of the year, made the all rookie 1st team, all defensive 1st team, all NBA 1st team, and even won the MVP award, all as a rookie. The 76ers then went on to go completely undefeated in the playoffs, eventually sweeping the Phoenix Suns in the finals. Jesse was awarded with an NBA title, and the finals MVP.
Jesse had proved himself to the fans that he was better than Snow. He proved he belonged in the NBA. Most importantly, he proved that he was worthy of the 5th pick in the draft. Jesse would go on to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Not bad for an unathletic white kid who was booed on draft night.

Greeting raidsecrets, I figured I'd post my tips & tricks along with the build that I ran that got me my solo flawless. Hoping this helps for those who might be struggling!
Lengthy detailed post ahead about my run and how I did each encounter. This will be focusing on just the Ecthar and final boss encounters. I achieved my solo flawless run on my Arc Hunter with Assassin’s Cowl build. This build will keep you healed up, keep you invisible so you're safe from enemies shooting at you, and takes use of Gathering Storm which makes doing boss dmg easy. 😃

General notes:

• I was 1822 power level when doing this. (1810 + 12 bonus power)
• For all 3 encounters, I used double specials with at least ONE One Two Punch (OTP) shotgun in either slot for maximum heavy ammo drops.
• This build's main focus is just trying to keep Combination Blow x3 up as often as possible to maximize ad clear, majominiboss kills, and for survivability (invis and heals).
• For the opening encounter I ran around with Wastelander w/OTP, Coldheart, and an Eager Edge Sword. Feel free to use whatever weapons you prefer here, but def keep at least a OTP shotgun on you.

For Ecthar and the things/mods that would need to be changed from what’s shown on the build in the DIM link:

• I ran around with 2 shotguns, both with OTP, then used Lament as my heavy for boss dps.
• On your chest piece you want one arc resist, one lucent blade (this will help with your sword block regen for Lament’s damage rotation), and concussive dampener (this helps with the boss stomps when in their super mode and any moth explosions that may occur). And on your boots you want 2 Solar Surges for extra Lament damage during boss dps.
• Put as much mobility on as you can while staying at 100 resil, because in the water section down low to activate the symbols, it’s going to help staying away from the boss so they don’t damage you. My build had me at 76 so the boss was never a problem when trying to run away. I would recommend at least 50 mobility here, if you can't get 50 with just using stat mods, feel free to run a Font of Agility for the extra 30 mobility when you have an armor charge.
• To start, build up your combo blow x3 with acolyte powered melee kills. Once you get x3, go around and kill each knight with a OTP shotgun shot, dodge, and melee hit. The jolt from lethal current should kill the knights, then do the same when the ogre spawns. Feel free to kill an acolyte nearby to refresh combo blow x3 and to go invis as you go along. After the ogre is dead head down to the middle to activate the deepsight to see what symbols are needed to be activated in the water section.
• For the water section, what helped me the most and to make sure I knew what symbols I had I would talk out loud to myself what symbols I needed. I would then use/reference this map on a secondary monitor to navigate the water for symbol activation. After you successfully located and marked all 3 symbols, it's time to go back up top into the boss room.
• 3 wizards should have spawned and you must kill each lucent wizard and collect their visages. I like killing one at a time, collecting their visage, then move to the next one, then the 3rd one. Quickest way to kill the wizards are going to be with your OTP shotgun and combo blow x3 with lethal current active.
• My rotation for killing the wizards: Building up combo blow x3, charge melee kill a 4th enemy to go invis (which will then refund my dodge), dodge near the wizard to proc lethal current and to refund my charged melee, shoot wizard with OTP shotgun, melee the wizard, and then finish the wizard. This should "1 shot" the wizard due to the damage of the punch and shotgun plus the jolt from lethal current. After the finisher, then repeat that process on the all 3 wizards, then go dunk. Then deposit your visages at each statue and be sure you are ending on one of the side ones. Keep up your Combo Blow x3 while going to each statue.
• After you’ve deposited your 3rd visage, get another powered melee acolyte kill to go invis and to refund your dodge. Run down the stairs and dodge past/next to Ecthar to get your charged melee back + lethal current. Shoot the knight that spawns with your OTP shotgun, melee the knight and it should die from the jolt explosion if your combo blow x3 is up.
• Once the knight is down and you’re standing in its pool, immediately turn around to face the boss and throw your Gathering Storm super (this should help with getting his shield down quick) switch to lament and then wait for the boss to run to you or run to the boss. Once the boss is on you throw your pulse nade at your feet for extra damage on the boss.
• My rotation I used on the boss for Lament to keep my health up as much as possible and to do get quick but strong dmg was: Block, Rev’d Light Attack, Rev’d Light Attack, Rev’d Heavy Attack, then a normal Light Attack, and another normal Light Attack. Repeat. If you can land this combo consistently it will net you a 4 phase but if not it’s a guaranteed 5 phase. If you start taking too much damage or feel like you might die during this do not feel discouraged to disengage and either kill a nearby acolyte with your charged melee for invis & heal or just dip into the water (I would sometimes have to do this -AFTER- the boss goes immune to save my ass lol).
• This fight took me 5 phases due to the combo not always landing correctly. The reason being is I would just phase thru Ecthar and miss, or it do that laggy thing where he'd teleport like 2 feet behind me but overall it was very consistent on damage.
• Knights are the biggest factor in taking damage here during boss dps. Sometimes they like to artillery strike you from the stairs (worst outcome), sometimes they’ll run at you and you can kill them with Lament when you’re dps’ing the boss (better outcome), or they just won’t bother with you at all until dmg phase is over (best outcome). More often than not they will usually arty strike from the stairs. So be cautious.
• For this entire encounter keep Combination Blow x3 up as much as possible as this will allow you to one shot all acolytes in the arena. Land your shotgun shots for OTP, and make sure to get lethal current up as this will basically “one shot” the lucent wizards, knights, and ogres. And as a reminder these kills will keep you invisible as well as heal you whenever you need it, makes navigating the arena just that much safer.

For the final encounter on the build as well things that would need to be changed from what’s shown on the DIM link:

• So for this encounter I ran Arby, OTP energy shotgun, and an explosive light rocket with tracking for boss damage. If you don’t have a rocket with explosive and track, ascendancy is in the kiosk at the tower where you can claim past seasonal exotics and legendaries. Main thing for this loadout is to again rock double specials and making sure one of them is a OTP shotgun to help with majors and mini bosses (the lucent hive).
• If rockets aren’t your play or don’t feel comfortable, linears (vorpal, frenzy, bait and switch, etc) will be your next best option, followed by a machine gun (vorpal, target lock, killing tally).
• On the chest piece make sure you have 2 arc resists on (for the boss when she shoots at you) and a concussive dampener. There seems to be some talk about moths ignoring resists, but in my runs it seems the concussive dampener actually helps with this. On the boots use the surge to whatever element your heavy is, mine was Arc cause of Hothead.
• When the battle starts head over to Oryx’s right hand, wait for the ads to spawn. Powered melee kill them to get your combo blow x3 going. Keep up combo blow x3 as much as possible to stay invis from the boss as much as you can during this encounter.
• After you’ve gotten combo blow x3, you’ll want to clear out and kill the 3 major knights in the arena. First one should be near you down by Oryx’s right knee, then the 2nd one will be over by Oryx’s left hand (near where you enteplace down the rally flag), then the final one will be up at the top by Oryx’s head. After you’ve killed all 3 knights activate the deepsight (melee kill an acolyte to go invis so the boss doesn’t blast you while you activate it). Map of the arena for reference.
• Locate which limbs you need to activate. It will always be chest/heart + 2 other limbs, and you must always activate one of the other 2 limbs first. For whatever reason doing chest first doesn’t work when I was doing my runs. When activating the limbs, you don’t actually have to kill Vorlog within the circle that glows (I initially thought you had to), just make sure you're standing in the glowing circle when you kill Vorlog.
• Now this is where Assassin’s Cowl comes into play very nicely for this encounter. Every time you complete the “look thru the circle and line up the symbol” at each limb, the boss likes to spawn those nuke moths. If you complete a limb while invis, these moths will -DESPAWN-. This is a massive benefactor to this fight simply cause you do not have to deal with the moths that are shoot at you. Another note: if you complete a limb and then go invis right after with a melee kill, the moths will spawn but they won’t track for you and will instead just track to a hive npc to give them the shield.
• Once you have all 3 limbs activated it's time to grab visages from the lucent hive. My method was always killing the 3 lucent hive in the exact same order every phase (from hardest to kill to easiest to kill for me) so I knew when I was about to start dps phase. My order was Knight 1st > Acolyte 2nd > Wizard last Every. Single. Time. I always found the knight to be the toughest of the 3 due to the double shield throw and melee/slam damage the knight likes to do. I would usually try to shoot him first while clearing out the ads so he would super and I wouldn't have to worry about a potential death from the shield throws.
• When entering in the area to kill the lucent hive I -ALWAYS- said to myself out loud the symbol a bunch of times so I knew where I was dunking it at. Then before finishing the lucent ghost I would look at it one more time and continue to say it out loud as I killed the ghost. Feel free to type it in the chat, but speaking it out loud helped with remembering it much better for me. Also, same as the Ecthar fight I would build up my combo blow x3 to clear out the acolytes, run up to the lucent hive, dodge for jolt, shoot a OTP shotgun shot, then 2 melee hits to kill.
• After killing the lucent hive and was back in the main boss area I made sure to melee kill an acolyte for invis, go activate deepsite while invis, then dunk the symbol while invis as well. You should have plenty of time between, but if not just get another melee kill to refresh invis.
• Once the 3rd symbol is dunked or you're heading to dunk it make sure you're invis. Once dunked pull out arby, hit the boss once to get rid of the shield, and throw your Gathering Storm super at the boss right after.
• Now here’s where it can get tricky cause I wiped a couple times due to this cause I used rockets. When doing heavy weapon dps on the boss, be sure to clear out any ads (especially thralls) at your feet before starting for extra orbs for surge dmg if you need it.
• Now, when going to shoot your rockets (if you’re using them) either jump up on an area where thralls can’t get you easily or jump and shoot around in the arena (I did a mix of both). This helps with not killing yourself by shooting an ad in your face.
• Another thing to note, when going to shoot your rocket (if you’re using one) make sure the boss is actually shooting at you or else she’ll move and dodge the rocket. Her shooting at you allows you actually land your shots cause she won’t be moving around actively trying to dodge your rockets/shots.
• Rinse and repeat these steps and you should be good. This took me 4 times/phases to beat and just over 90 minutes to complete.
• -DONT FORGET TO FINISH THE BOSSES-
