2023.06.09 15:29 femcelh [F4M] Long Lost Lovers Fantasy Roleplay.
Hi! I'll start with my basics, I'm looking for an experienced and very detailed roleplayer who can match my level and how much interest I put in roleplaying. There's a LOT of world building involved with this, just to warn. I've been roleplaying for 7+ years, I love fantasy heavy plots and I LOVE world building.
I don't have plot limits to roleplay besides major character de*th, but if you do express them to me clearly to me and when roleplaying, if you find yourself uncomfortable tell me to stop what I'm doing wrong please. I usually write around advanced literate but I can go even longer if I get super into it, otherwise I really do try to match my partners length. Im okay with anything from the shorter end of semi-lit to longer end of adv-lit. I am in the GMT+1 time zone and am not in the position where I absolutely cannot respond very often, so i respond generally consistently and atleast a few times a day. !! I write in third person only and do so on discord. !!
So, the OC I'd like to use is;
Name: Azura Galadriel
Age: 30
Height: 6'0, 6'3 with her heels
Species: Witch
Familiar & Weapon: Owl, Dagger carried on her left hip.
Physical appearance: She has light brown hair that's thick and goes down to her hips, big green eyes, large pointed elf like ears with gold jewelry in them, tan skin and generally slim body. She wears a large variety of clothing, but usually white long dresses and heels, if it's cold she'll wear a cape. Her fingers and neck are always adorned with golden jewelery, her arms, legs and back are tattooed with white ink, creating intricate patterns all along her arms and hands. These tattoos glow when she is preforming magic. with She tends to look very angelic.
Personality/Background: She's the shy and soft type, her voice deep and soothing and mannerisms non-threatening. She makes an effort to keep personal matters to herself and is typically selective about who she lets into her life and heart. She's responsible, logical, reliable and very maternal, children and young adults alike tend to take her on as a mother figure. She's the polar opposite of impulsive, and really keeps impulsive people in line and grounded. She has a kind nature about her regarding people she trusts and loves, but she can dismissive when people upset heshe generally dislikes that person or she's just upset in general.
She grew up in a wealthy household with two parents, her mother was an extremely powerful witch known for her powerful healing spells and ability to cure most if not all disease and illness, and her father was the kingdoms medicine man who was accompanied by her mother. They only planned to have one child in their mid 40's, and that was Azura. Azura didn't get the upmost attention and love from her parents as a child as they were very busy with their work, leading her to become extremely self sufficient and develop an ability to handle herself, finances and time management extremely well at a young age.
She was very quickly noticed for her extremely powerful magic as a young child, and as she got older she became the most powerful witch in the kingdom, even more powerful than both of her parents. Instead of using this power for the wrong reasons, with her pure heart of gold, she followed her parents path and became the kingdoms most trusted medicine woman after her parents passed on. Her magic mostly plays off of herbs and potions to heal, and dancing, music and coordinated movement is very important for her magic.
Here's basics of the world and the plot:
This world is called Dhartī, and the Kingdom this takes place in is named The Kingdom of Prithvi. Prithvi is the Main Kingdom of this world, think the British Colonies of Dhartī. The rulers of Prithvi are widely feared and disliked, even by the people closest to them. Many creatures exist in this world, witches, orcs, elves, faeries, humans, goat people, etc. (I would prefer if you would keep your OC either a human or witch, though.)
The plot is a long lost lover plot, Involving a powerful witch who is very important to the Kingdom of Prithvi, my OC. As an 18 year old, she would travel to a far away village named SurakDeva to treat a new, unknown illness with her father as part of her training. Upon arriving, she would meet a boy. She ended up staying for two years, completely falling in love with this boy and spending most moments when she wasn't taking care of people with him. Her father found it cute but, they had to leave eventually. Once the disease died out, they had a very tearful goodbye, and she left back to the kingdom, never to see each other again.
10 years later, the very same boy, now a man she had fallen so deeply in love appeared in Prithvi in need of healing.
Things can be changed when we discuss more together, but thats the premise of what I'd like to do. That being said, if you're interested, message me just general info on ur OC and how you'd like to write this. I won't respond to 'hi' or anything, and I'd REALLY prefer you don't be flimsy about your OC, it can get frustrating. At the least, I'd appreciate a little self introduction! Thank you for reading if you got this far lol.

2023.06.09 15:23 tyr1699 Should I get contact frame for my year old system?
Hi guys, I built a 12th gen system last year with i7-12700. My temps were never an issue. I have the AK620 cooler in the 4000D airflow chassis. On idle, I would have temps around 30 to 40°C on some hot days. Under Cinebench load, it would go to a max of 85°C pulling 180W constantly.
Recently, my temps have increased to around 50°C and with Cinebench, it goes around 100°C pulling in just a little less than 180W.
Now I'm not sure whether the recent heatwaves are playing a big role in it or not (goes up to 38°C during sunny days) or it's the thermal paste (CM Mastergel Maker) needing fresh reapplication.
I am also considering ordering the Thermalright contact frame, but I'm not sure if it's going to help my case, since the system is year old, but it would be easy for me to change that if I were to apply fresh thermal paste. But I won't change the frame if it's going to have adverse effects by any chance with the bending and stuff
Advise!!

2023.06.09 15:16 FakeElectionMaker Leansque lore ranging from Iberian history to the country's most recent election.
| 2022 Leansquean general election LEP had ran a right-wing populist campaign centered on fighting corruption and reasserting Leansque's independence in regards to Brussels. On economics, the party promised to raise interest rates and control gas prices to lower inflation. They mostly avoided the Ukraine issue. The Left Front overperformed expectations, winning eleven urban seats and replacing the Greens as Leansque's main left-wing third-party. Unlike the Green Party, the FI platform transcended climate change to promise the nationalization of major industries and promotion of workers' cooperatives as an alternative to the private sector. Exit polls Leansquean-language voters: LEP 40.89% PDC 20.57% PT 17.98% FI 7.73% LM 4.04% PV 3.00% Other 5.79% French-language voters: LEP 35.76% PDC 30.54% PT 18.60% LM 6.98% FI 5.00% PV 2.43% Other 1.54% Spanish-language voters: LEP 32.57% PT 29.11% PDC 25.45% PV 4.15% FI 3.78% LM 2.52% Other 2.42% Leansque supported the Angolan government with weapons, training and funding until 1974. That year, the newly elected Labour Party administration of Domingos Arcand imposed an arms embargo on the Roberto regime, weakening it even further after a series of defeats. On 9 April 1975, Holden Roberto fled Angola by plane, and the People's Republic was proclaimed by Agostinho Neto the following day. Equipment used by both sides during the First Angolan Civil War, including aircraft of the Angolan Air Force. Clockwise from top: Ferrera III, BA M32, MB Jeep, Panhard AML, AMX-13, M113, M114, M2 mortar. Mirage III, F-86 Sabre, A-1 Skyraider, C-47 Skytrain, T-6 Texan. AK-47, PK machine gun, RPG-7, 9K32 Strela-2, PPS submachine gun, SPG-9 recoilless rifle During the war, the MPLA was provided by the Soviet Union, Cuba and other Warsaw Pact states with modern equipment, while the Holden Roberto dictatorship relied on aid from the United States, Israel and (before 1974) Angola's former colonial power Leansque. As the brutality of Roberto became more well-known internationally, support for Angola decreased, allowing the MPLA to win the civil war. Royal dynasties of Leansque. Actually, the tau cross was the symbol of the Peter Dynasty, but the coat maker I used did not have it. Between 879 and 883, there was a Leansquean Civil War among four local noble families fighting for the throne. And between 1723 and 1725, there was a brief War of Leansquean Succession pairing Spain and France against Britain, the Netherlands and the HRE. Britain won the war, and they installed Frederick of Baden-Durlach on the throne as a compromise candidate. The Iberian peninsula (excluding Leansque) has been ruled by Spain since the late 15th century. The north of the southwestern part of the peninsula had been controlled by the Kingdom of Galicia, until it came under the control of the Catholic Monarchs. The Algarve, on the other hand, was only retaken from the Moors in 1490, when the Grenadan forces there were decisively defeated. Since the times of the Kingdom of Navarre, there has been a significant Basque population in southeastern Leansque, as shown in a previous post. By 1850, Brazil had stabilized, with European immigration beginning to take off. The Liberal Party oligarchy had replaced the failed colonial experiment with industrialization. Instead, they returned to commodity exports, mainly coffee. By the late 1850s, Brazil was the greatest producer and exporter of coffee in the world (replacing Liberia), and the commodity filled government coffers. During that era, the Conservative and Liberal parties were de facto coalitions of statewide political groups and clubs, with little centralization. The Conservative Party machine was increasingly incorporated into the governing Liberals as that party collapsed, and by 1865, Brazil was a virtual one-party state. In 1857, President Francisco Torres signed the Law of the Free Womb, freeing all slaves born after 1 January 1858. At the same time, a more functional immigration policy was implemented, causing an immigratory boom; by immigration numbers Brazil was the second largest country in the Americas (behind the United States). The immigrants were overwhelmingly German and Italian, with smaller numbers of Spanish and French ones. During that period, Brazil defeated three regional caudillos during wars – Juan Manuel de Rosas of Argentina in 1852, and Francisco Solano Lopez of Paraguay during the late 1860s (the Paraguayan War is the biggest international conflict in Latin American history). Even with this military victory, the status quo was increasingly questioned, due to electoral fraud, illiteracy and the political dominance of large landowners. The failure of the modernizing candidacy of war hero Louis de Lima e Silva angered the Brazilian Army, which took advantage of the political climate to carry out a military coup in 1870. Presidency of Louis de Lima e Silva (1870-1881) After seizing power, Lima e Silva announced Brazil would enter a new era, without slavery and focusing on the national interest instead of regional ones. The new president soon deposed all governors and replaced them with local military officers. He also revoked the 1832 Constitution, reuniting enormous power for himself. On 18 January 1871, Lima e Silva issued a decree freeing all slaves over 65. While it was meant to appease the growing abolitionist movement, the decree had little effect (given slaves' low life expectancy) and was widely mocked. That same year, the President became popular among the poor by controlling the prices of products such as bread, potatoes and meat. A cult of personality emerged around Lima e Silva, and popular battalions were created to defend him. On foreign policy, the new government sought close relations with both the United Kingdom and the United States; the foreign policy of the First Republic had leaned towards the latter since the 1840s. British investment in Brazil increased as large businesses invested in railways and banking. In spite of those reforms, Lima e Silva's centralization of power upset many in the Brazilian elite, and during early 1872, there was a rebellion which was quickly supressed. The revolt's failure emboldened the military dictatorship, which recieved a popularity boost. The President took advantage of this to increase the construction of railways in the poor and declining Northeast, and finally abolish slavery on 4 June 1874. Throughout the late 1870s, Brazil prospered economically, with the emergence of the first push for women's rights; trams and streetlights began to appear in major cities. But Lima e Silva's dictatorship relied more on his charismatic authority than on rational-legal authority. At the same time, as the dictator turned 80, a struggle for succession was opened. In 1877, the Generalissimo (a rank he had adopted in 1872) chose his right-hand man, General Deodoro da Fonseca, as his successor. Throughout 1879, Lima e Silva's health gradually weakened, and he increasingly turned over government duties to Deodoro and his advisors. On 7 May 1880, the President of Brazil died, and was succeeded by Marshal (a rank he had been promoted to right before his predecessor's death) Deodoro da Fonseca. submitted by FakeElectionMaker to AlternateHistory [link] [comments] |
2023.06.09 15:15 MoneyCrypto9044 Gnosis To Build On Coinbase’s Layer-2, Bring Over $40 Billion Of Locked Assets
| Gnosis was ecstatic to see Coinbase embrace real Ethereum ideals with the introduction of BuildOnBase as it announced a new partnership. This occurred in the context of recent events pertaining to Ethereum. Gnosis has the intention of bringing their battle-tested self-custodial accounts to the network, but more significantly, they want to supercharge account abstraction with it. The new development on Ethereum has sparked a couple of responses from the crypto community. Members of the cryptocurrency community such as Ryan Sean Adams, host of the Bankless Show, are of the opinion that the move “is a massive vote of confidence for Ethereum.” If this is proven to be the case, it could set a precedent for cryptocurrency companies and financial institutions to use Ethereum as their preferred settlement layer. Since its founding in 2012, Coinbase has amassed roughly 110 million verified users and has worked with 245,000 businesses across more than 100 countries. According to CoinGecko, its cryptocurrency exchange is the second biggest in the world in terms of the trading volume. The first place goes to Binance. Adam also praised Coinbase for its decision to open-source Base, and he is of the opinion that the newly introduced layer-2 network would result in an increased demand for block space on Ethereum. In the meantime, Sebastien Guillemot, co-founder of blockchain infrastructure company dcSpark, suggested that Coinbase made a wise decision to go with a layer 2 as opposed to an independent sidechain, noting that “almost all” cryptocurrency transactions and value locked on Ethereum resides on layer 2s these days. 2023.06.09 15:13 DumbestGuyWalking Are Audi's *that* bad?
I am in the market for a used SUV (l use that term loosely!). Sub $18k, AWD or 4wd, 3 rows is cool but not necessary and under 100k miles.
It seems if my search criteria returns 100 results, it's 40% Audi vehicles, 20% Mercedes/BMW and the remaining 40% being Kia, Hyundai, some Chevy and Fords.
I have bought a Saturn and a Hyundai before and heard all the talk of "unreliable, and junk! They're cheap!" And honestly, they were the two best vehicles I've owned (although my current Acura MDX is pretty high up on that list too).
Do the Audis just get a bad rap?
I am in SW Florida, and it's a pretty affluent area, am I just finding lease returns and well-off owners needing a new car "since it hit 60k!" ?
I do all my own work and maintenance, so I do feel a bit uneasy about a European car. With that said, I thought the same about Asian vehicles and the Hyundai and Acura have been just as (if not easier) to work on then my many Chevy pickups....

2023.06.09 15:02 ConsequencesFree Tear holes in my EV car rental service business plan
I have been paying $490 per week for a standard but really nice SUV with enterprise for the last 6 weeks and will have to do so for another 6 weeks. I noticed enterprise is usually all booked so it got me wondering, why not fill the gap? DMV area, mostly (near or around DC area though so Baltimore County to Northern VA near Dulles).
So here’s the plan
Start off with 1 EV, Tesla model 3 Long Range with no full self driving ($50,380, $7500 tax incentive + $3000 state incentive). Then slowly scale up to Rivan R1S SUV ($80-90k) and the Cybertruk.
$80 daily rate (Monday - Thursday)
$150 daily rate (Friday - Sunday)
Loyalty program
-$100 p/m or rent for 10 weeks or longer per year to qualify
-$60 p/d rate
Optional add-ons
- $15 p/d for insurance
- $100 for pickup/drop off at xyz location
- $1.99 p/d or $10 p/m for Tesla connectivity
Customer acquisition
- online ads - $3.5 CPC, $15 CPM,
- 12.5% referral payout per rental
- online platforms such as turo, hyrecar, Ubers new platform
- partnership agreements with local businesses
$630 weekly rate ($90 p/day) if booked 24 hours in advance, $700 for instant booking
Rideshare option - renter can use for Uber or Lyft
Food delivery option - renter can use for Dominos or Doordash or Uber Eats, etc
US business mileage tax deduction- $0.65.
Assuming mostly rideshare drivers use me and the car is driven at least 100 miles per day, 36,500 miles * $0.65 = $23,725 back in taxes
Assuming I rent daily at my lowest price of $80, that’s $29,200 gross per vehicle.
$29,200 * 0.60 (40% tax) = $17,520 gross
$50,380 - $10,000 down payment = $40,380
$40,380 @ 10% interest, 48 months = $1,024.14 monthly
I want to pay the car off in 24 months
After 12 months, my balance will be $31,739.40
$31,739.40 - $7500 federal EV credit - $3,000 state EV credit = $21,739.40
I’m not sure how to calculate the mileage deduction so I’ll leave that out as extra income. I used to do Uber and Lyft and $200-300 after Uber fees working a day are realistic. I have also done Dominos which pays out $13 p/hr and has unlimited overtime if you are willing to close, you can seriously do 70 hours OT (10am to 2am) but your only driving half or 1/3 of the time, plus $350 tips, so your looking at $1000+ per week working 10-12 hrs daily, $1700 if your willing to slave away. The difference in electric vs gas is pretty significant. That cost savings could result in 50% savings. For example I was spending $50 daily to fill up with Uber (250-400 miles) and about $25 with dominos (120 miles).
I’m also calling up local repair shops and dealerships and businesses to offer my cars as loaners. Repair shops and dealers seem resistant though, they hate EVs. Dealerships in my area charge $50 per day for rentals while cars are being serviced. Not sure about how to contact insurance companies though.
So what do you guys think? Target market are gig workers who are all in for the most part, with some sprinkling of one off customers whether from partnering businesses or google ads, etc.

2023.06.09 14:54 StarRipple447 Gnosis To Build On Coinbase’s Layer-2, Bring Over $40 Billion Of Locked Assets
2023.06.09 14:46 bigchungy What we should rule out and where we might find luck. (Long Post, Part 1)
So this is going to be a
ridiculously long post. Sorry if this is too much to follow, I tried to make it as organized as possible.
Basically I keep seeing post after post of people suggesting different places to look at online and I think it's misguided to think we'll ever somehow magically find something on the internet that solves this mystery.
I think we should start by looking at what we
do know-- i.e. the leads that have been looked into and what we can deduce from what we learned. The fact seems to be that VERY few people will actually have any concrete information.
- Paul Baskerville has no memory of playing TMS (if he even did) and how would he? It's one song he (might've) played ~40 years ago. The other host who could have played TMS is deceased.
- In an interview, he said "I still have my record collection at home - about 10,000 records - only, I wouldn't know where to start. I mean, should I just start with [letter] A and then look for a record cover that I don't recognize immediately? If it seems a bit post-punk, then I can take it out and play it, but I'm not retired yet, I don't have that much time, that's the problem."
- While there's a remote possibility that Paul has TMS in his vinyl collection somewhere, we can't exactly just demand that he retire and dedicate the rest of his life to combing through his collection to satisfy our curiosity, especially when he himself doesn't seem all too interested in the song.
- Furthermore, In an NDR TV clip that aired about TMS, Paul himself indicated that it's more than likely that TMS was a one-off demo tape they played once and immediately tossed out. I think this is almost certainly the case and that Paul has absolutely no further information that could help us.
- Paul mentions a venue called LOGO in this clip at which TMB might've played, but this has also been a dead-end. (However, huge props to those who went through each of these performances!).
- For similar reasons as Paul stated, I don't think it's likely a producer or studio would have a memory of a particular band decades ago out of the thousands of similar bands that recorded with them. Even if somehow they did, our chances of finding every studio that existed in 80's Germany and getting into contact with those producers and somehow getting a definitive answer is next to zero.
- NDR and GEMA have been a bust. No offense to NDR, their team did a lot of work to release those records, and it's greatly appreciated, but ultimately TMS just wasn't listed. I think NDR gave us everything they possibly could and there's no more we can ask of them.
So this means we have pretty much exhausted every known connection to the song we've gotten so far. I didn't mention Lydia/Darius because they never had any direct information about the identity of TMB at
any point, so they inherently can't provide us with that info. We know everything they did.
This means that a lot of the search has moved to scouring the internet, but let me explain why I think we won't find anything there:
- I know this is highly contentious, but I genuinely do not think TMS has ever existed on vinyl. Honestly if it was, we probably would've found it by now. I think it was a demo tape. My only argument here is that it is so unlikely to have been a released record. What is the likelihood that TMS had a vinyl run, but:
- There are no copies that have ever been found.
- Either a mass amount of copies have been lost, or it was a very small production run (which is highly unusual from my understanding, but correct me if I'm wrong).
- NDR never recorded it being played and it was never listed with GEMA.
- Why wouldn't it have been listed in the NDR logs or with GEMA unless it was a one-off demo tape like Paul Baskerville said in the above posted clip?
- NDR has no copy of it.
- In the above NDR TV clip, the archivists said they've been actively searching for it. If TMS was a record, surely they'd have a copy and it would have been found by now.
- It hasn't ever been found on Discogs.
- I know people are actively searching Discogs, but there's NO sign of it by now, even though so many people have been searching for years?
- Also, I think if TMS did ever have a vinyl run, it would indicate that it was produced by a band with some fame and following. And somehow we have never heard from a single fan? Not even anyone who has claimed to have heard the song before?
- Again, this is not to say that we can definitively rule out a vinyl existing, but it seems so unlikely that I don't think we should focus all of our efforts on it. Because it seems most likely that TMS was a demo tape, I think we can assume the only people who would recognize TMS are those who directly had a hand in creating it.
- Searching for any info online therefore also seems pointless; in order for TMS to have some undiscovered presence online, the only possibility that makes sense is if was uploaded by a band member. Just to clarify, I say this because, if TMS was just a demo like I believe it was, there's no way for music channels or individual fans to have any copies to upload. IF then a band member did upload the song somewhere, we would have to assume many of these these things to be true:
- The song title is completely unrelated to the lyrics OR it was posted under something generic like "demo.mp3" (otherwise it would have been found by now)
- The song also has no relevant tags (otherwise it might have been found by now)
- Someone in the band still had masters, equipment to digitize their tapes, AND cared about work they did ~20-40 years ago, but didn't care enough to properly title/tag their video or leave lyrics in the description (as again, we'd have found it by now if lyrics were uploaded anywhere).
- Someone in the band, somewhere in their 40-70's, was tech savvy enough to digitize their tapes and upload them online, but not tech savvy enough to post their video around.
- While all of these things are possible, it seems to me unlikely enough to assume it probably didn't happen. For reference, I had a history professor a few years ago who stumbled upon a punk-rock album his band made in the early 90's; they digitized the tapes and uploaded them to Youtube, Spotify, Bandcamp, and made Facebook posts about it. If someone in TMB took the time to upload their old music, you'd think they'd put that level of care into it.
- But even if it did happen, and there's some undiscovered upload of TMS somewhere by a band member, we simply will never be able to find it.
- The internet is unimaginably vast. Just looking at Youtube alone, 30,000 hours of content are uploaded to every hour. To put this further into perspective, in one single day 720,000 hours of content is uploaded to Youtube. That's a little over 82 years of video content uploaded every single day. That's an entire lifetime.
- Like I said before, if there is an upload, it is not titled after the lyrics and it has no tags. With absolutely no keyword search criteria to go off of, we would have to somehow manually scrub the entire internet in search of an upload (obviously impossible).
This mystery isn't going to get solved just by looking at the internet harder. But I don't mean to just be cynical with nothing to offer, I'm going to make a part 2 in just as much detail later (if not tonight, the next few days) with how I think we should tackle the search going further. Also, I figure this is more than enough for 1 post LOL.
Lastly, I don't mean to be dismissive of all the work that has been done so far. Everything that's been done up until now has been important in getting to this point.
TL;DR: From what we know so far, we can infer that TMS did not have a wide enough release (if it was released at all) to justify scouring the internet for any more leads. More to come on new strategies. submitted by

2023.06.09 14:45 kaworo0 Partial Successes rules
So I am very new to cypher and still learning the system. I do love to homebrew and like to import features from difference systems. Among the ideas I am having to customize cypher one is the notion of Partial Successes / Failing Foward.
My first notion about this involves the idea that instead of simply failing when the character can`t beat the TN of the toll, there is a broad range of results that involve not getting exactly what they like but getting it halfway, making a mess or adding a complication to the scene.
so the basic idea is that rolling at or under the basic difficult x2 is a total failure. rolling at or under basic difficult x 3 is a partial success and rolling ABOVE base diffuclt x3 is a full success.
Which would lead into something like this
- Dif 1 - Rolls of 1-2 (total failure) - Roll of 3 (partial success) roll 4+ (success)
- Dif 2 - Rolls of 1- 4 (total failure) roll of 4-6 (partial success) roll 7+ (success)
- Dif 3 - Rolls of 1-6 (total failure) roll of 7-9 (partial success) roll 10+ (success)
- Dif 4 - Rolls of 1-8 (total failure) roll of 9-12 (partial success) roll 13+ (success)
- Dif 5 - Rolls of 1-10 (total failure) roll of 11-15 (partial success) roll 16+ (success)
- Dif 6 - Rolls of 1-12 (total failure) roll of 13-18 (partial success) roll 19+ (success)
- Dif 7 - Rolls of 1-14 (total failure) roll of 15-19 (partial success) roll 20+ (success)
- Dif 8 - Rolls of 1-16 (total failure) roll of 17-19 (partial success) roll 20+ (success)
- Dif 9 - Rolls of 1-18 (total failure) roll of 19 (partial success) roll 20+ (success)
- Dif 10 - Rolls of 1-19 (total failure) roll of 20 (partial success)
the idea is that most actions in an adventure should range in the 3-5 dificulty range with a dificulty 6 being the measure of a obstacle or enermy which is meant for players to fight.
- Dif 3 - 30% total failure - 15% partial Success - 55% success - Players will succeed most of the time buyt will sometimes complicate themselves. Roll this routine tasks that could cause fun problems if they had partial success on a crucial moment. (i.e. Climbing a mountain without losing gear, navigating the asteroid field, breaking the lock without triggering alarms) , easy difficulty.
- Dif 4 - 40% total failure - 20% partial success - 40% success - Players tend to succeed and solvemore problems then they accumulate complications. Roll this for rolls that could change a scene oir the tide of the battle (Dodging the activated trap, running through the crossfire) meaningful rolls
- Dif 5 - 50% total failure - 25% partial success - 25% success - Player tend to succed but will mess a bit and accumulate complications. Roll this for risky and challenging situation (Resisting the sirens mind control, Shooting the enemy weapon out of their hand)) difficult rolls
- Dif 6 - 60% total failure - 30 % partial success - 10% success - Players will fail a lot and success will often add complications that will grind down their resources (Hiding from the dragon`s breath behind the shield, trying to hide your thoughts against the telepath) Very difficult rolls
Partial success should be used as a invitation for adding complicationsa to the scene based on the character`s lack of attention, skill or unexpected challenges in the task they are attempting. The key here is that partial successes exchange a problem for another. The character does break into the lab, but the silent alarm is tripped, they do hit their enemy but open themselves for a counterattack, they jump across rooftops, but land on the ledge or fall on their knees on the other side, injuring themselves.
Partial successes are also a way to model enemies`s attack on a combat. Instead of calling for defense rolls from players, A character partial success on a task in combat (even an attack one)means an oponening on their defense that is exploited by the enemy (thus inflicting damage) or triggers opponents special moves (the giant octopus grabs their leg and throws them around, they kill a goblin but its friends surround him, the sword transpasses the tree-monster but is now stuck in its chest until the character can free it).
It is very important that the GM either clearly explains what is at stake at the roll in case of a failure and partial success OR at least gives hints of what the problems may be. This information is important for the player deciding whether they want to spend effort or not.
Dungeon world is a great inspiration here and I think this mechanic works specialy well to player facing system where the GM doesn`t roll dice.

2023.06.09 14:28 Sho3z_xDD The truth about darwin
No matter what people want to say they have caused these issues themselves over the last 40 years of not doing anything to prevent issues like crime rising. There is this massive divide between local people and aboriginal people that more or less the most racist state in the entire country. The worst of the worst are the security that man the bus stop at woolworths and the security inside the woolworths. Why do we have 7 security total that none of them literally do anything but be over aggressive and attack people racially. They can blame decline of business on crime all they want but the truth is the people who come here see how bad it is and dont want to come back when we can go to QLD and party cheaper drink cheaper and live cheaper and have a better time and not see people of the public being racist also when a country with only 25million population and a population size of Darwin and NT being so small we shouldnt be having so many issues but the people like these security that hang around town thinking they are police having the power to act like police make the police look bad and the police already have enough time keeping staff on as it is. I know for a fact if I called police in town they would come more or less instantly so why do we waste money on these racist security guards when we could invest it into public schools and to run programs to break this cycle you all created and stop things getting worse. The people who are running it are so far trapped in the past they dont get how progressive the world is and just assume us to be the same as America and other developed nations but in reality we are so under populated compared we could never be like them because we are trapped in the 80s.People come here and see how bad the locals are treated and how you force people into poverty with basics card and how you force mental illness as a solution when the solution are things you dont want to admit because that is proof you all failed in the first place and you are all unwilling to admit it.There is going to be no growth from here because the damage is done and now with the visa changes that people internationally have to move here for 3 years or whatever that Rword crime is going to raise and it is going to be as bad as victoria and once people start hurting each other more with knifes and you will all know you did this to yourselves and then already with the cost of living and min wage being so high business cant even afford to be open and it is what it is.You wasted a ton of money pointlessly and now there isnt going to be enough money for anything else and to solve the issues that you all created. Legalize marijuana and make it legal and a dispensary that will bring people here and be able to make enough money to come out of this decline we are in then we can solve the problem and even hire more over aggressive toxic racist security if that is what you want to continue to do.You all don't know how good you got it up here and you all ruined it.

get ChatGPT (or any other AI chat bot IG) to make really cool shaders (and audio reactive shaders) in OpenRGB.
I made 2 pormpts, 1 for normal shaders and 1 that you can send after the first one to make it do audio reactive shaders too.
(You can use the sahders it makes in efffects engine under "shader" effect at the bottom of the shader list) if it makes errors copy paste the error code from OpenRGB in chatgpt and it should edit them.
Pormpt 1: I want you to act as a Shader developer. I will provide some details about the design of an shader, (which i may refer to as an RGB effect, RGB profile or or something similar. It will be your job to come up with creative ways to visualize my ideas. This could involve creating cool effects with unique designs. The shader will be vizualised on Internal computer RGB devices and RGB phepirals, such as RGB ram and RGB keyboards, the shaders should be optimized to work with that. The shader has to work in OpenRGB, i will provide some examples of shader code that works in openRGB as your knownledge on that already is very limited. Your only output should be shader code, NOTHING ELSE. DONT start by making a shader, just simply say youre ready to comply with my request, Its important that you make the shaders work, if the shader dosent work i will give you the error codes that come in OpenRGB and its then your job to make the shader work. Shaders reacting to keyboard or mouse input is impossible to make in OpenRGB and you should inform me about that if i make a request to get my shader react to mouse or keyboard input. Shaders reacting is possible in OpenRGB and can be really cool, you dont have enough knowledge about thoose shaders so if i ask you to make a audio reactive shader (which i may refer to as a music reactive shader) you have to ask me for example code that works in OpenRGB. You cant make a music reactive shader without more information about how to do it from me. Dont give any examples of good ideas to make, just say youre ready after i send this, then i will in my next message give you instructions on what to do, what you can tell me is how you would like the instuctions so you have the best chance to make the shaders.
