Hey there! My name is Keiran. I'm terrible when it comes to writing these, but I'll give it my best shot.
I'm 22, and currently living in Cambridgeshire. I work in my local Wetherspoons. I'm trying to find someone that I can form a special connection with, someone to hopefully form a relationship with, to form memories with...someone to have fun with.
My interests include Gaming, Movies, Anime, Music...got the basics covered at least haha! I'm hoping to continue studying Games Development in September, as I've always wanted to go from being the player to being the creator! The inner anime fan in me dreams of going to Japan someday, as I've wanted to go for as long as I can remember!
My taste in Humor is varied, although personally, you can't beat dark humor. The darker the Humor, the better I say!
Appearance wise, I'm 6ft, Brownish-Blonde Hair, Green eyes, and a constant five o'clock shadow. I'll admit to being a bit on the chubby side, but I'm hoping to get into the gym soon...just need to try and find the time in-between work hours haha!
I'll admit that when it comes to speaking to new people, I can be shy at first, but give me a chance and some time... eventually I won't be able to stay quiet (Wether that's good or bad, I have no clue).

I'm currently a rising senior starting to get ready for college apps so it's a given I'm starting to narrow down my list of college choices. Right now I want to aim for UC Irvine, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Riverside or UC Santa Barbara but I have a slight conflict. I have discussed my choice of colleges with my parents, but they're trying to convince me to reconsider and choose community college so I can stay close to home and just transfer later on (if they let me.) Some of my family members as well has gotten I've been torn about the whole situation, I really want to go far from home since I'm not a fan of my hometown and just explore being on my own in college but I also don't want my parents to really get upset over the fact that I don't want to be near home anymore and won't listen to their suggestion.
Should I really just stay around the area and not at least try to convince my parents to let me go far? Please help.

Hello! I would appreciate some help troubleshooting my PC. I put it to sleep earlier this week and the next day I was unable to wake up the monitor even though the motherboard and GPU had LEDs going. I forced a power cycle by holding the power button on top of the tower, but now nothing turns on at all. I get a brief blip out of the power LED on the motherboard when I turn on the PSU switch, then nothing. This is true no matter what I do to the PC, as listed.
I have tried:

• reconnecting all power supply cables at both ends
• powering on with the GPU disconnected and powered off
• powering on with the RAM and memory removed and fans disconnected
• powering on with all of the above plus CPU power unplugged (CPU still attached to the motherboard). I have no idea if the motherboard would be expected to boot in this scenario.
• PSU tester. I bought a brandless "power supply tester 4" online. As far as I can tell, the PSU functions normally. I get readings all within spec with the motherboard connector and CPU connector attached. 6pin cables show "LL" for the +12v2 value, but I'm not sure if it should read anything, and I don't think the peripherals (HDD and fans in this case) are needed for the PC to boot.

I just built this PC last year. It's been kept in relatively dust-free areas and looks really clean inside. I don't see any debris on the motherboard. I'm really at a loss at this point, and would be grateful for any tips!

• Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC
• RAM: 32 GB (2x 16)

Updated and Did a lot of reviewing so far and opinions are based on pure game fps, or cpu burning out, or some prefer AMD over Intel and visa a versa so:
Currently Own: Antec DP 502 case Asus prime x570-p with AMD 3600x and ddr 4 16gig 3200 Nvidia 1070ti 32" -1440 monitor
Currently from what I read and all the opinions I came up with this:

Antec DP 502 case I5-13600k with MSI Mag 790 Tomahawk and ddr 5 32gig 6000 Noctua NH-D15 ( any solid cooler really but I have this on hand) Msi Mag A850g psu RX6750XT I think this system will last me for quite a while.
When I purchased the RX6750XT, someone suggested I could go AMD 7 5800x3d instead.
My issue at first and partially why I opted for a new motherboard is if I upgrade the CPU only the poor NVME right under video card (its directly under it) would be fried. I had to add a low profile heatsink and added a fan to push air up with my current setup . Sometimes 70+ deg or more but now down to 50-56 deg with load
So I know the 5800x3d is very good for games. I5-13600k is also good (from I read quite a bit better) but soars above the 5800x3d outside of games. Games = Diablo IV, FFXIV, ESO, and couple of others... outside of games...I do some blender and some video related tasks but not much more.
From budget standpoint. IF the AMD 7 5800x3d would be an option say for next 3-4 years I would have to purchase: Ram - ddr4 32gig 3600 or even 4000 .. 3200 at 16 gig is okay but most new game suggest more. PCIE M.2 adapter: the m.2 #1 under the video would have no hope against heat of the amd cpu so m.2 #2 is Windows 11 and use the adapter for other. Whether I upgrade the ram or not I save $430-$540.. which will give me room to upgrade the GPU (thus return the rx6750xt and get a better gpu). This savings would drop well over half if I had to get new motherboard for 5800x3d and not much different then Intel budget wise.
Side note: I am still in decision mode and unopened , and returnable boxes :) except for the cpu cooler. But i have so far decided upon the I5-13600k build but cannot afford the 4070 , 4080 or the rx7900xt or 7900 xtx I was hoping for.
I have kept in mind that Intel looks like it's holding off its gen 14 for a bit longer. Also, the cost for AMD 7 (7700x) actually just over $120 more or so then the I5-13600k build but with upgrades to 2025. (Many reviews state the Intel is still better vs value. It's tough to decide

After a year of sobriety, my partner came into our bedroom last night to confide in me that he had just relapsed. He is absolutely shattered with himself at what he had done and I have never seen him like this before.
I want to help him, but I don’t want it to appear as if I’m smothering him in the coming days. His normal mode of communication is to have one conversation about an issue he is having and never mention it again, however this is way more serious than what we have dealt with before.
Any suggestions on how to support him? What would you have wanted from a s/o in your moments like this? He isn’t a fan of therapy or professional help so I will try and keep that as a last resort for him. He is going down a spiral mentally and he doesn’t believe in medication so I can’t even help him there. Any help at all would be much appreciated, TIA

That is not hyperbole. There are but a scant few things in life I feel I am genuinely good at, perhaps even gifted, and besides Mario Kart, cuddling is one of those things. I am 6’, large frame but average weight, strong arms. I will make you feel safe, and like you are the only other person that exists in the world. I have no age preference (aside from over 18, obviously). I am trans-friendly. I am down for platonic or non-platonic cuddling (though, if you like being caressed, at the very least, I think that is a plus). I prefer to host (I am not a big fan of driving). Also, I am nocturnal, so late night hours preferred, but we could probably figure something out what works for both of us. Fair bit of warning though, every girl I have ever cuddled has fallen asleep in my arms, I get told frequently that I am very comfortable. Basically, I am just someone that loves human contact (who doesn’t), and who has a gift for cuddling that I would like to share.

I know people were ragging on Miami fans for their poor attendance in the first few minutes of each game, which is understandable given the exorbitant parking prices and suboptimal arena location.
They were sounding loud when the game was close in the 4th, but imagine being a Heat player and trying to mount a comeback at home while your crowd is leaving early in a single digit game? No wonder Denver opened up the game at the end.

Trying something a little different tonight. I absolutely want to chat and make a new friend but I also just downloaded the new Diablo game. So tonight ita a bit niche but I'd love to chat with one of you and maybe try playing a game together. A little about me. I'm a mail carrier and a union steward. I work a lot but I generally love my job. Once I leave the office I spend my day listening to different podcasts and audiobooks while I work. It's turned me into a big fan true crime.
My newest hobby is bee keeping. I've only been stung once but it's becoming a real fascination for me. I can't wait to dive deeper into it.

Abstract
We tackle the task of conditional music generation. We introduce MUSICGEN, a
single Language Model (LM) that operates over several streams of compressed
discrete music representation, i.e., tokens. Unlike prior work, MUSICGEN is comprised of a single-stage transformer LM together with efficient token interleaving
patterns, which eliminates the need for cascading several models, e.g., hierarchically or upsampling. Following this approach, we demonstrate how MUSICGEN
can generate high-quality samples, while being conditioned on textual description or melodic features, allowing better controls over the generated output. We
conduct extensive empirical evaluation, considering both automatic and human
studies, showing the proposed approach is superior to the evaluated baselines on a
standard text-to-music benchmark. Through ablation studies, we shed light over
the importance of each of the components comprising MUSICGEN. Music samples,
