New grad rn jobs

Hi everyone, I am RDMS, RVT and my family is moving to colorado! I graduated 6 months ago and have been working in vascular ever since. I know I am still pretty new at the field, thus, it might be hard to find a job. Should I look at traveling contracts? I would obviously prefer a full time staff position but I realize that is going to probably take a while to find and we are moving in July. I also know my limited experience is going to make this harder too. Any advice is appreciated!

My character is an elven princess whose father has arrogantly pawned his daughter off. But here’s the catch, he knows no one can complete the task he’s set out. That is until your character, a barbarian ruler is able to complete it effortlessly. Here’s a small pitch:
The elven kingdom on Jgravgon was over a thousand years old. The rulers all being within the same family, and never skipping the heirship. Though this time was a bit different. King Raleigh almost hated his job, and the inheritance. In fact, he hated everything. His wife, his family, his daughter especially. She had the desire to marry, but he wanted no more heirs or anyone to rule in their family after he died. So he made it almost impossible for her to marry. Hundreds of suitors from across the world came trying their luck with the princess, and all failed.
The task was simple. Name the animal that bore the leather hanging in front of the throne room. All men failed, whether it was an expert hunter, a horseman, a soldier, no one was able. Until the barbarian was given the chance…

For context, I (mid-20s F) am looking to meet more friends who live in my area. About a month ago, a new guy around my age started working at my job. He's super nice and seems like a genuinely good person, and I would like to get to know him better because I feel like we would get along well. As of now, I'm not specifically looking for a relationship and I don't currently have feelings for him ( I don't develop feelings for guys who I don't know really, really well), so I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to flirt with him/ask him out.
So far we've chatted a little, but there's not much time for us to have longer conversations due to the fast-paced nature of our work. Unfortunately, we also don't have a group of coworkers who hang out regularly outside of work (most of my coworkers are much older than us and have pretty busy lives). If I was in a similar situation with a female acquaintance, I'd just ask her if she wanted to grab a bite to eat, but that obviously sends a different message if I ask a guy the same question.
Being friends with guys used to be so much easier in college, because we could just hang out/chat on campus and nobody assumed it was a date. Now that I'm a young adult, I've run into so many situations where I want to get to know a guy or he wants to get to know me, but the lines between friendship and dating are so blurred. In these situations, I want to learn to send the message that I want to hang out as casual friends before even thinking about dating/a relationship.

I'm making this post because I need some reassurance that I can actually get into a good grad school. I want to do my masters in mathematics, I have my undergrad in mathematics, I have about a 3.7 in major GPA from UMass Amherst, and during my undergrad I took enough graduate classes that I maxxed out the number that would count towards a graduate degree (if I got in I'd already have 12/30 credits)
The downsides are I literally never spoke to any of my professors outside of class ever and I have a total GPA of ~3.2 which ironically was in gen ed classes like botany that I just couldn't bring myself to do. So I see 3 letters of recommendation required and I just can't even think of a single one that would be solid. I had weak grades in real analysis but great grades in algebra and dynamic systems which is more the direction I want to go anyways.
The main barrier is the recommendation letters I think, which if I ask any of my professors they absolutely will not remember me, and if they do they'll remember a depressed looking guy who never talked lolol.
Would asking the CEO of the startup I work at to write a recommendation help? I've worked with a professor in finance on the job, and finance isn't math, would that help?
I don't have any publications besides a signals analysis patent that I have with my dad.

Please do not get me wrong, I am grateful for my job and I am happy that I am here. This job is my dream come trueX However, there really are days when I just want to lounge by the pool, read books through my kindle, and drink beer.
I have always wanted to be a government lawyer kasi "for the people" nga naman. Until now, I am happy to serve the Republic and the Filipino people. I like going to work, hearing & studying new cases, but it just dawned to me that I also miss having a life. I am not as busy as most of my private practitioner friends (mas mabigat sila dun), but I do miss having the choice to be tamad hehe.
Point is, to all law students or college students who want to work right away, enjoy your vacation and if possible lang naman, don't work right away. Embrace your free time kasi once magstart na kayo magtrabaho, tuloy-tuloy na yan.

I’m kinda stuck on what to do here as I’m worried attempting to escalate this issue could result in me losing my job as technically the NHS bank has no obligation to provide work to bank workers.
I, 18M, have been working for the NHS for a few months now and I’m in between moving from one contracted post to another. I don’t have a contracted position at the moment, I only have a conditional offer of employment subject to a DBS check which is taking months. I’m currently on the bank and was regularly picking up shifts in my local A&E department last year as they needed the staff.
This issue began after a period of hospitalisation in early January. This was for mental health issues however, since then I have been treated and had my psychiatrist assess and determine I was fit to work with no limitations needed. I also had a meeting with the temporary staffing manager to determine what level of support I’d need. Further to this assessment and in line with the assessment sheet she had with her, we both agreed that as my issues had been treated and I was cleared by a psychiatric consultant, I did not need support and could return to work once I had completed some outstanding training competencies.
I completed these competencies in February and was all set to return to work. Went to book a shift and nothing showed up. Called the same manager I’d met with and she told me that an “issue” had arose and that it was being investigated. This was the beginning of months worth of fighting to get my job back, I was calling multiple times a week and was being straight up ignored. I’d call, they’d say they’ll get back to me, they never did. Eventually it got to the point where the manager told me she didn’t know what the issue was but I just couldn’t.
Finally I got somewhere and they said they were willing to clear the restriction if I agreed to work on 2 specific wards that were nothing like my preferred environment and were not in line with my scheduling requirements. I denied this and continued to press the “issue”.
This is where the discriminatory treatment begins. I finally spoke to a new start on the bank team who sympathised with me and promised she’d find answers, she did find those answers. The answer was that I was simply “too young”. I am 18 years of age. This is despite our earlier meeting where she went through the risk assessment form to determine what level of support I’d need to return to work, which was none.
Clearly there is an element of discrimination here, whether it is because of my age or because of my medical history I have my own opinion on but I’m trying to stay objective. The way I’ve been spoken to and treated just makes it all the bit worse. I am not too young, I am a qualified and competent adult who is wanted back in my preferred ward by the actual staff who work there. They are currently bleeding for staff and making urgent requests for staff to assist but I can’t as I’m “too young”.
I am now allowed to work everywhere and any time EXCEPT the place I had already established myself in and EXCEPT the times that I much preferred working. It is now very hard to find consistent work on a specific ward but I’ve been trying still as I have been out of work since January and have no income.
I absolutely hate the way I’m being treated however I’m cautious to press the issue as the bank office could easily just take away all shifts as they have no obligation to provide work as I’m not an “employee”, just a worker. I do know however that this doesn’t allow them to discriminate against me based on either my age or my disability status. I am disabled however this has no bearing on my ability to work. The way I’ve been spoken to by this manager is horrific and it’s as if she thinks she needs to treat me like a toddler.
What course of action can I take that doesn’t put my current situation at risk? I only need to tide myself over till my DBS comes back and I can start a contracted job at a different hospital under the same trust, however the shifts I was doing on bank was a way to make ends meet, I was enjoying them and it is not something I want to give up easily, should I wait until I start or can I take action now?

I don't even know what to say really. I can't put a specific word to describe how I feel, but let's just say shitty.
The foremost thing upsetting me rn is my parents divorce. They have been divorced for a few years now, so it's nothing new to me. But I'm just so shaken, because I'm just now coming to terms with how it's effected me. I've never had a sense of stability because I've been driven between each house several times a week. It's fucking exhausting, and its even more tiring having to pack up all my shit and take to my other parents house for one overnight. All my things are focused in one house, and I naturally want to stay at that house most of the time. But being on this schedule for so long makes me feel guilty and I feel that I am betraying one parent either way. My parents say they understand if I want to stay at one place more than the other, but obviously they don't. I want to speak up so bad but I feel like I'm going to destroy one of parents, and I love them and don't want to hurt them. It just conflicts with what I want and what is best for myself. My resentment for the divorce, my parents who put me in this situation, and my guilt eats away at me.
Another thing is religion. My parents are raising me Roman catholic. Frankly, I've been skeptical of belief for a while. I was at a pretty dark place a few months ago (Active suicidal ideation) and I had to go on a retreat to qualify me to get confirmed (which I didn't want to do). I used to the retreat to try and reconvene with God and ask for help as I was literally going to kill myself. I prayed, I really did, for some divine intervention or some reassurance... and I heard silence in return. This was the final nail in the coffin of religion in my life. Either I'm just Forsaken to God, or there's no God to begin with. I managed to pull myself out of that bout of suicidal thoughts. Anyways, fast forward, I get confirmed, which is like so rite of passage in the Christian church, and my dad tells me that I can choose if I want to go to church or not now. Cool. So I did tell him for the first time that I didn't want to go a few days ago. He let me, but he came back from church with my brothers afterwards and was mentioning the holy spirit an odd number of times. He is literally guilting me, and I feel terrible. He also went back on what he said and corrected to only sometimes I can skip church. So I'm just living in your image now. He recently said he wanted me to get married, and he want me to get him grandchildren. He also keeps telling me that I'm going to come back to faith later in life, that it's inevitable. I love my father, he's a great person, but these things stress me out so much.
These 2 things above are the major stressors for me rn.
I also failed my driving Test for the 2nd time, and its so discouraging. I passed the road portion easily the first time, but the maneuverability is killing me. I feel like I'm falling behind because so many people can drive, and passed easily the first time. Me? I'm on my third attempt. Must be something wrong with me. I feel this same way with a job. I don't have a job, and I feel this detracts from my personal worth as a person because typically people have this sort of aspect in their life.
Other things which are hurting me but don't compare to the stuff above: - Friends: I have many friends and many acquaintances. I'm working on getting better at socializing too, because I already mix well with so many people. I'm just not anyone's favorite person, I feel like I can't find my "tribe". I still have close friends whom I hang out with infrequently. But other people are so tightly knit together that I question if I'm really anyone's friend at all, if no one cares to spend time with me. - Dating: I don't have much to say about this. It just confuses me, and I don't understand it. Yet I feel I need to do this in high school because everyone else is doing it, and I'm going miss out on "teen love". It's painted as a one of a kind experience. Why haven't I had a relationship like that though? Should I just wait for a relationship to blossom; can I trust that I'll eventually meet someone I'm compatible with by just talking to different people? I (22F) and my bf (22M) are in five year undergrad programs. It will take me 6 years to graduate. He has a full time job lined up in a different country for a much larger income than I will earn. (Both engineering students). He wants me to sign a cohabitation agreement. I feel it is a bad call, especially when I will be moving to a new country to be with him. Need some advice. I really feel like we should be on the same page and working as a team as we move on to the next stage of our lives.

I have self harm scars on my inner fore arm. They are clearly not new but not entirely healed (2-3 years old but noticeable).
I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks time and I’m really excited. But I am getting nervous surrounding office wear. I usually opt for long sleeve blouses and long sleeve bodysuits with trousers. But it’s summer and it’s boiling! I’d actually love to wear short sleeves.
My previous role was work from home so what I wore didn’t really matter, but I always covered up the scars on the occasion I went into the office. I feel a lot of shame, guilt and discomfort surrounding the scars. At the same time I feel I should learn to embrace them. That being said, wether or not they are visible really influences what I choose to wear on a day to day basis. In a weird way I don’t feel in control…
ANYWAY.
Question is - should I continue to cover them in the new job? Will they think differently of me if I do not?
I’m not sure how to go about this. I don’t want to put people off of connecting with me in the workplace and I don’t know how people generally respond.

So I will play the part of a home owner in this story. Back in 2018, I bought myself a nice house in California for $800K. Yes, that's a lot of money for me, too. Of course I insured it, what idiot wouldn't have home owners and fire insurance?
Well, good thing, because sure enough a standard wildfire blew through and the place burns to the ground. I get a massive insurance settlement, and I inject a bunch of my retirement that I didn't know I was going to spend, and a new house appears on the spot. I still owe that $800K plus my extra cash. Lot of money.
And I try to re-insure.
That's when I discover that State Farm no longer writes "fire policies" for my area. Too risky.
So, there I am with my literal personal estate uninsured and ready to burn. It doesn't take an Honors Grad to figure out that selling this thing and GTFO before the vegetation grows back is the beauty way to go. So I put the house on the market for the $800 I owe.
And it never sells because what kind if idiot is going to buy a house with no fire insurance? I can't give this thing away. And even if I could, getting a trailer out of California is a practical impossibility.
So you know what I do eventually? I cash out. Me and the dog pack up the truck and default on the house. I get my money out of the bank, put the few things I have from after the fire in the truck, leave the keys in the lock, and drive away. Probably file for bankruptcy eventually.
So anyway, my nice retirement house winds up getting seized by the bank and sold to the government at a massive loss where it turns into a rental for immigrants. They astutely don't give the slightest f-bomb if it burns again because all their stuff already fits in their truck and they are previously familiar with the migrant lifestyle.

I’m an HRBP in the healthcare industry and I’m currently job searching because of low pay and terrible company culture. I just found out that I am moving forward to the next stage in the interview process with another company (very reputable company, remote role & the position is an HRBP role) who’s starting pay will double my current salary. My current company is undergoing a restructure because they are trying to reduce costs. I just found out that I’m being promoted to Director of Talent Management & removed from the HRBP space - this comes with a 4k increase 🙄. I love my manager, I’m well respected at this company & the title is appealing BUT the pay is not worth sticking it out with this company. I was kinda forced into accepting the director position and my title will change effective June 6th. I feel bad about starting the new role knowing that I might possibly hand in my notice soon if offered a job with the other company.

Hey-o! I’m Maddie, making a new prompt that I’m interested in. This was originally in my drafts so when I post it will just sort of be randomized when I’ve freed up a spot with a partner whose no longer available. So, to get a jest of what I’m looking for, I am EST and everyone I write with will be over the age of 18 or the equivalent. I am looking for a male writer, cis or not doesn’t matter to me whatsoever. This is a completely LGBTQ+ safe zone in my DM’s/profile. As for concept, this setting is in a high fantasy world. My character is an elven princess whose father has arrogantly pawned his daughter off. But here’s the catch, he knows no one can complete the task he’s set out. That is until your character, a barbarian ruler is able to complete it effortlessly. Here’s a small pitch:
The elven kingdom on Jgravgon was over a thousand years old. The rulers all being within the same family, and never skipping the heirship. Though this time was a bit different. King Raleigh almost hated his job, and the inheritance. In fact, he hated everything. His wife, his family, his daughter especially. She had the desire to marry, but he wanted no more heirs or anyone to rule in their family after he died. So he made it almost impossible for her to marry. Hundreds of suitors from across the world came trying their luck with the princess, and all failed.
The task was simple. Name the animal that bore the leather hanging in front of the throne room. All men failed, whether it was an expert hunter, a horseman, a soldier, no one was able. Until the barbarian was given the chance…

There's very few times when playing video games where I feel the need to write a post about it but this.. without question... has to be one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had.
I recently made a post explaining that I was on the fence about playing this game. Between reading about how good it was and wanting to experience it.. but having so much anxiety surrounding horror games/movies that I nearly decided against it!
What a huge mistake that would have been..
Look...if you are feeling the same as I did please let me explain a little about my experiences I had when playing as I would hate to think you are skipping it due to being afraid
This will be spoiler free.. however I will be mentioning a couple of locations whilst explaining my thoughts and feelings as I got further into it
I started off this experience playing the demo. And truthfully I never made it to the end of it because I was so scared.
I switched it off and said NOPE.. but
Over the next couple of days I couldn't stop thinking about it.. I found myself in a situation where I wanted to experience the beauty of the game.. but without having to worry about anything.
I then noticed that the full game was at a discounted price and I figured.. ill buy it. perhaps one day I will be man enough to play but if I don't.. at least I will have it if friends decide to play
Over the next couple of days I came up with an idea and a challenge to myself.. TO BEAT IT... I wanted to overcome my anxiety and put myself in a situation where although very uncomfortable. The ultimate goal to conquer my fear was enough to get me started.
I will say that I played through this game on the easiest difficulty and I would highly highly recommend anyone who's nervous to do the same.
This game does an amazing job at building you as a player. You feel very helpless and hopeless as things start .. after all.. you are a man in new surroundings. You aren't familiar with weapons and gadgets.. and the fear I had was very different to the way I felt at the end
At the start I played for 20/30 minutes at a time. walking slowly. checking every corner. staring at the scenery!!! As I played more I put in longer sessions
That being said.. The game is beautifully designed. The village itself is sort of like a central hub, with paths leading to different sections of the game. Each path unlocking as you progress!
Each time I visited the village I felt a little more in control as I had been there before.
There's also different styles of horror in this game.... I soon realised which style I hated more when I got to House Benevento .................... I actually stopped playing it for a week because I was too scared to go on..
After that.. this game became an action shooter where I felt very happy to destroy everything that moved lol
Look it's though to write about a game without giving any spoilers but I'll end with this.

Cassie had taken over the discussion from there on, entering the formal interview stage of the chat with Miu'Kin, as was her right as first wife. She was the arbiter in the end, and she had a veto that Miu'Kin needed to clear before she could get the thumbs up or down from Tyler to formally join the marriage. Cassie didn't give the other woman any slack either, she might not be a warrior, but a mother needed her own kind of spine, and even with Nara on hand, Cassie wanted to make sure the children were safe with Miu'Kin as a guardian too.
"What would you do if there was a threat to the children while the rest of us are away Miu'Kin?" Cassie asks, close to the end of her intended questions.
None of them had expected Miu'Kin's eyes to blaze.
"A threat? To the children! What kind? I might not be a battle princess but by the goddess's shell I won't-" Miu'Kin stops, a small jet of flame coming from her nostrils. "Err.. I uhm. I'm sorry. I get... passionate about protecting those who can't protect themselves. My first year working in a daycare, someone who claimed to be an Orega Girl tried to kidnap one of my charges, a sweet little boy... I uh. Killed her with my bare hands. I don't remember it. I saw red, forced her outside, sealed the nursery and triggered an alarm and then proceeded to beat her into a paste. I don't remember any of it, but I uh... apparently finished her off beating her with her own arm after ripping it off. No one's ever threatened the children of that nursery again and I haven't worked there in over a decade."
Matroika leans in. "...I want to call bullshit so badly, but you're such a sweetheart I actually believe you."
"It was in the news a whole bunch. My name was redacted because of the possible organized crime angle, to try to prevent retaliation, but you should be able to search Heart Shell Nursery kidnapping attempt or something similar and it'll pop up."
"I'm on it girls."
Tyler pulls out his communicator and does a little search, and sure enough, exactly as Miu'Kin had described it. He quickly passes his communicator around, letting the girls all look for themselves.
"Well I'll be damned!" Matroika looks up from Tyler's communicator, clearly reassessing the other woman. "For such a demure gal, seems like you can bring that Apuk fire when it counts. She's got my vote girls. Seems like a perfect fit to me!"
Cassie coughs delicately into her hand. "I didn't realize we were at the voting stage yet, but I suppose we can have the discussion now."
Miu'Kin moves to stand. "Would you like me to wait outside the privacy field?"
Cassie shakes her head and motions her to sit down. "No, unless one of the others would like to you, I don't think that's necessary. Nara?"
Nara makes a show of considering things for a few moments. "I say yes to welcoming Miu'Kin as our new sister."
Cassie looks to Elyria. "What about you Elyria?"
"I say yes! Miu'Kin's a sweetheart and she can protect the children with all that Apuk ferocity where it counts? Sounds perfect for us." Elyria beams over at the other woman.
Cassie nods. "Well I see no reason to dissent from my sisters, I say yes. I think Miu'Kin will be a fine addition to our family. Tyler?"
All eyes now focus on Tyler who strokes his chin for a moment before smiling over at the lovely redhead, putting a shiver down her spine.
"I don't see why not. Miu'Kin, would you do me the honor of marrying me?"
To her credit, Miu'Kin, clearly a bit over stimulated, manages to squeak out a "Yes!" before she passes out, thankfully being caught by Matroika before she can hit the table.
"Heh, guess she got a little overexcited, not that I can blame her, getting to marry our hubby should be exciting!"
Caring Conquests apparently had people pass out frequently enough that a nurse was kept on staff, and Miu'Kin's back on her feet before too long, the shy beauty boldly taking Tyler's hand and nearly passing out again as the Sarkins head down to Caring Conquests' legal office and sit through another intense round of paperwork. True to Bey'Tor's word, the second round of Miu'Kin's fees for the matchmaking service are waived, and in what felt like no time at all, the Sarkins, plus one redhead, are standing on the sidewalk in the warm sunshine of a late morning on Serbow.
Tyler stretches before taking Miu'Kin's hand again. He'd decided that since it was theoretically her wedding day, he'd be giving her some special attention above and beyond what he tried to normally give his wives. They'd do a ceremony with the skipper back on the Tear of course, but for now... he gives Miu'Kin's hand a squeeze, savoring the warmth radiating from her as she looks over at him with a shy smile, clearly doing her best to suppress just how giddy she is about the whole thing.
"So Miu'Kin, since you're local to the capital, care to give us the tour?"
"I... I can do that! Yes! I'd love to! Anywhere in particular that any of you would like to go?"
Tyler pulls his communicator out. "Well we have a list we can go through and you can tell us what you-"
"Hey sir!"
Tyler looks up at a distinctly male voice calling out to him and finds a small group of Marines and sailors, many of them with their spouses, disembarking off an airbus. The man who'd called out to him, one of the senior petty officers from the squadron, races up and visibly resists saluting Tyler since they're out of uniform for once.
"What's up Petty Officer Tywin? Seems like quite a crowd."
Petty Officer First Class Scott Tywin nods. "Some of it's intentional, some of it's happenstance... this ad for this matchmaking service got sent out across the comm net an hour ago and a lot of us had been talking about adding Apuk gals to the family... hard to beat Caring Conquest's reputation from checking their reviews, a discount's just icing on the cake. We're also here to support Mark."
Tywin points to a man that Tyler recognizes as Mark "Tiger" Ayako, a Marine NCO and naval aircrewman.

Not sure if they can shake out a battle princess from this joint, but I'm sure Mark would make any Apuk gal they match him with feel like a queen regardless."
"Hah." Tyler can't hold the laugh back. "How many girls is he intending to marry?"
"As many matches as come back good really. Plus one or two. There's a couple gals back on the Tear waiting for the Apuk to soften Mark up a bit before making their move themselves. So what brings you out here si- Oh."
Tywin looks twice at Miu'Kin and realizes it's not Nara or one of the other Sarkin girls.
"I take it you're a happy customer sir?"
"Something like that Tywin. This is Miu'Kin, my new wife."
Tywin nods cordially to Miu'Kin. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am, and congratulations to both of you on your wedding."
Miu'Kin bows her head slightly to Tywin, but keeps her peace, trying to hide a sudden bout of shyness beneath demure good manners, something Tyler suspects is part of her normal coping strategies.
Tywin looks over his shoulder at the group heading towards Caring Conquests, there was a small group of women lagging behind who were clearly Tywin’s own wives.
"Alright, gotta get back to the family! Enjoy the rest of your day boss!"
And in a flash the last of the small mob of Marines and sailors are inside as Tyler grins like a maniac.
"Hell just off that crowd I bet I'm going to get a very happy text from Bey'Tor. Seems like you're not the only happy blushing bride in the Capital city today Miu'Kin... and seems like the Tear is going to be getting a strong Apuk expat population."
Cassie chuckles into her wing. "At the rate things are going, Apuk might even equal or out number the Horchka. An interesting development for sure. Now... where should we be off to? Perhaps we could do a little shopping as well, to help Miu'Kin prepare for her move up to the Tear?"
Miu'Kin nods eagerly. "Oh that would be really lovely of you! I would quite enjoy company as I shop... and I must say I've ah. Never been to space before. Never mind made an extended trip to deep space or anything like that. So any of your experience you'd be willing to share with me, I'd greatly appreciate it."
"Of course, that's what family's for!" Cassie answers for the group, flexing her wings a bit and letting herself stretch, unintentionally emphasizing her gravid stomach... which lets loose a growl worthy of a grizzly bear. A blushing Cassie rests a hand on her stomach. "Oh dear. Seems I'm a bit peckish. Please excuse me."
Tyler shakes his head. "We haven't eaten anything but some snacks since this morning and you're eating for three dear, maybe we should all get some lunch. Miu'Kin? Care to recommend a local place?"
"Of course! One of my favorite places is actually nearby!"
Miu'Kin happily trots along, hand in hand with Tyler, and eventually points over at a building in the distance.
"That's the place!"
"Huh!" Tyler peers a bit closer with an axiom boost to his vision. "Well I'll be damned, looks like a tavern straight out of a roleplaying game mixed with a greasy spoon diner from back home. I love the look, the Apuk really nail some aesthetics that really appeal to me. That said... I can't read Cindertongue, Miu'Kin, what's the name of this place?"
"Oh! Sorry! It's 'Flame Charred With Love: Apuk Family Style Dining'!"
That got everyone's attention.
Cassie's wings ruffle just a bit. "Apuk family style cuisine? Ooh! That sounds lovely. As a fellow carnivore I know I enjoy Apuk food."
"Hell I'm down for any kind of home cooking. Nara says she isn't much of a cook but I've devoured every Apuk dish she's made me." Tyler notes, remembering some excellent meals.
"Bit rich for us omnivores sometimes, but I suppose that's what making a salad back in orbit is for." Matroika chuckles.
"Four carnivores in the family does make life hard when you like vegetables as more than a garnish, you're not wrong, darling."
Miu'Kin nods. "Well I'm a pretty good cook! I even know how to cook with vegetables. Just give me your favorite recipes! Between Nara and I we'll keep everyone fed! I think you'll like this place though, it's Apuk home cooking just like Mama..."
Miu'Kin freezes dead in her tracks as she reaches for the door.
"...Oh no."
"What's wrong, honey?"
The term of endearment melts Miu'Kin just a bit as she tries to compose herself.
"I eat here so often that I kinda spaced why I eat here. My uh. My mother owns this place, she's usually on shift. Some of my sisters and other mothers work here too, you could call it a family business. Working at the diner as a waitress was my first job."
Tyler shrugs. "So? This is good, I was hoping to get a chance to meet your mother at least before we left the planet."
"Sure, but I just... it. Okay. If you're sure. It can. Family."
Miu'Kin looks into Tyler's eyes, and finding only reassurance and a smile there, takes a second to steel herself and pushes through the heavy wooden door to the jingle of a bell.
"Come on in folks, we got a table ready just for you!"
An older Apuk woman with silver in her red hair and smile lines carved into her caramel skin calls out from where she's tending a spit in the middle of the mostly open kitchen, a smile on her face big enough that you could probably see it from orbit if she went outside. Then she actually looks to see who had just come through her door.
"Oh! Hey sweetie! Who are your fri-" The woman, Miu'Kin's mother it seemed, eyes actually focus on Tyler properly now, and drop down to where Miu'Kin's still firmly holding Tyler's hand. "-riends?"
Miu'Kin swallows loudly. "Uhm, Mom. This is my new husband, Tyler, and his other wives."
For a second. One brief second. Every noise in the restaurant ceased.
The live fish in the tank, clearly marked as food, stopped moving.
A waitress nearly dropped a plate.
Diners looked up from the booths.
Deeper in the kitchen, a few other older Apuk women, presumably sister wives or sisters of Miu'Kin's mother, all stick their heads out to see what in the shell is happening.
Then all hell breaks loose in the way only a family with up to a hundred odd mothers-in-law can.
First Last

As a child my mother harmed me. She has had a tramatic event as a child, it isn't her fault her parents didn't notice. She has had severe munchausen by proxy since I can remember. She has no heart, she is calculating, and she should have never been able to adopt. She has reviled at the fact, myself being young, she destroyed and killed every animal I have ever had. She made me tell my friends I couldn't be their friends anymore because they only used me. They became angry with me for something I knew wasn't correct. If I didn't do it I would be tortured emotionally and mentally. She would destroy relationships with my boyfriends and family members abroad. She tried to make me vain and tried to make me treat others like they were beneath me and that was never the case. If I didn't do exactly what she said, she would beat me down mentally and emotionally. She has physically and verbally abused me my entire life. Everyone close to me in my family that truly loved me, they ended up with psych problems and dead. Every relationship I have had she destroyed purposely. When I lived below her, married and eith child, she would go through my trash. She would destruct my home while I was gone and take everything I loved. Two children later and a new marriage, she found a way to inpute herself in our lives from one part of the country to the complete opposite side. She would call cps because I wouldn't let her speak to them on the phone. Nothing happened. I am not a hover parent, but a parent who understands her children and loves them dearly. My birthing has put her disease in full throttle and she is evil. She's making my kids like her. Their father too. They don't know how to love. They only take everything. Cheat, play the victim, lie and deceive. I cannot be without my children. She has made them hotendous. She makes sure and everyone in my small town as well. I have no way to get a job, a burglary charge, stealing off my car to build their own. My things, my money. Horrible people with parents not caring. Envy, jealousy, hate. Towards my family when I was adopted and nothing like them. Please, someone come help me I beg you. Help my children and I. She's aging and only becoming more gruesome at the moment. I need a pi in the worst way possible. God, save my daughters souls and help my mother and my situation. God, please save my family from my mother's disease and this whole town's. Help us Lord. We need a miracle.

It's a common argument that people will claim they don't believe in God because there's no evidence. Evidence is all around us - and of course as Christians we can see this evidence - but someone who is blinded by sin is unable to see this evidence; even when it's undeniable.
Look at the bible for instance. It was written over a period of centuries by dozens of different authors. We have historical proof to show a pretty good estimate of when each piece of text was written. Now more specifically, let's look at the old testament. In the old testament we can see a peek inside of the mind of God and learn things that God only knows. By this, I'm referring to prophecy. We see that prophecy which is given in the old testament is fulfilled in the new testament. Prophecies about Jesus which were made centuries before any of it happened were fulfilled by Jesus during his time on this earth.
Even if you were to subtract Jesus, the old testament contains prophecies about world events that were fulfilled before Jesus even came onto the scene. Did you know that? Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Daniel, they talked about the Messiah who was to come but they were tested and they also predicted world events like certain battles, certain kingdoms that would rise and fall. All of those things happened accurately. They are vetted. They are trustworthy, reliable informants who tell us something not only about world events, but about a coming Messiah. In the bible we also see prophecy about the end times (the times in which we are living today) which have come true.
It is the plethora of evidence like this which proves the bible and all that we know to be true. It is for this reason that whenever Satan makes an attack he always begins by challenging the authority of the word of God.
And when we look at the new testament we can see what the real problem is. So many of these people who are claiming that they don't believe in God, it's not because of a lack of evidence. Evidence is all around them and they shut their eyes to it. But in addition to that, we know and we read in the scripture that God reveals himself in the hearts of all men. They know God is real, but they also know that following God means that they have to give up their sins. But they love their sins, so they convince themselves that God isn't real so that they don't have to feel morally accountable. This is why many people become irrationally angry when you even mention the gospel - it's because they know the truth, but they're afraid that you're going to unwrap their delusion and they will have to face moral accountability and they don't want that.
Everyone knows that God is real.
Brothers and sisters I want to encourage you with this: when you go to talk to others about the gospel, you don't need to convince them that God is real. They already know God is real, regardless of what they say. Instead you should attack their conscience. They already have evidence, it's not your job to give them any more. Your job is to proclaim the gospel.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in arguments over proving whether or not God is real and these arguments are useless because they already know and they're going to ignore whatever proof you can offer. Even if you could show them direct proof it's not going to change their hardened hearts. For example the Israelites saw firsthand how amazing God is, and what were they doing when Moses came down the mountain? The pharisees met God in the flesh and watched him perform miracles and they still denied it. This is because a lack of evidence is not the problem. The problem is sinful desires.

I am 21(f) and got diagnosed at 20. I want to say once I got diagnosed the pain was truly unbearable. From there I started medication (hydroxychloroquine, sulfasalazine) and it helped but not enough. Now I will start taking methotrexate on top of that. When I worked at an office the pain slowly but surely got better. Eventually things changed so I relocated and got a new job. I work a job 4 days a week (at a grocery store) so i’m on my feet 7 hours a day. Ever since, my pain has plummeted and I feel like I took steps backwards. Do you think I have to quit my job and go back to something less labor intensive?? I really don’t want to but I can’t tell what else would fix this. I’m really going to be heartbroken if I have to leave a space I enjoy. :,(
