Carrying onward with my full series rewatch, I'm posting some character rankings as I go as a way to gather some thoughts! And boy am I excited to talk about Pearl Islands.
Just to clarify, these rankings are based solely on entertainment and value to the story. Impressive play often goes hand in hand with entertainment for me, but I’m not going to always rank better players higher. (I am going to be working on some posts analyzing gameplay down the line though)! I also am basing these rankings solely on the season in question, so returnee appearances have no effect.
Lastly, I accept all hate with open arms! I’m posting these for discussion to make this rewatch more interesting. Hit me with whatever you’ve got.

16. Nicole Delma (16th)
Nicole is basically only remembered for Jeff’s creepiness over her having no bra, and she really doesn’t do much else that memorable. She does cause some drama at the first vote, and a mildly messy first boot is better than a total dud.
15. Ryan Shoulders (15th)
Skinny Ryan does play an important role in the first few episodes, as a narratovoice of reason explaining why everything the Morgan tribe is doing is totally dysfunctional. Still, he doesn’t do it an overly engaging or funny way, and he doesn’t have much else to offer to the game. He does seem like a really nice guy though, and at least he brought “DIE, JERKS” into our lexicon.
14. Michelle Tesauro (14th)
She shows glimpses of potential as a fun character, and I just generally enjoy Michelle, but she really doesn’t get much of a foothold in the game or on the show.
13. Tijuana Bradley (7th)
T is really strange because she’s remembered as a hot head for the village scene, but for basically the entire rest of the season she’s extremely kind and uplifting. I can’t really say I blame people for having that perspective though, because yelling at the lady in the village is essentially the only interesting thing she does.
12. Trish Dunn (13th)
She goes to make a big move way too early, but you can just tell from what we see that Trish was a shrewd gameplayer with a good mind for the game. Trish is one of those classic premergers with major potential, and I would have liked to see what a Jon/Trish duo could do post-merge, but she’s not around long enough to leave a big impression.
11. Ryan Opray (9th)
Ryno is this high in the rankings solely on the strength of the Pelican Pete scene, which he comes off super fun and super cool. Otherwise, he’s basically just a faceless Morgan with a few vaguely charming scenes.
10. Darrah Johnson (4th)
She might quite literally be the least dynamic person that’s ever been on the show, but Darrah is so dull that it comes all the way around to being somewhat entertaining.
9. Osten Taylor (11th)
He’s a huge presence in the premerge, but I can never tell whether I like what Osten brings to the show. The edit wants us to think he’s a total douche, and he doesn’t help himself much either when he’s threatening pelicans with machetes and telling Nicole to flash Panamanian locals. Still, Osten seems generally like an OK guy, but he’s more memorable than he is entertaining, and on a repeat watch he doesn’t hold up as a standout on this cast.
8. Shawn Cohen (12th)
Shawn is someone I like more on every rewatch. He’s gone from annoying douche to annoying, but hilarious and buffoonish douche for me. Thank goodness he goes when he does, but Shawn causes a lot of conflict while he’s around and I really enjoy what he brings to the premerge.
7. Christa Hastie (6th)
Christa is really an ideal sort of side character. She has some fun relationships, some fun rivalries and she pops in like three times an episode to do something extremely bizarre. Christa is also just so weird, but she is just enough of a normal human being that every time she does something super weird it still catches me off guard.
6. Burton Roberts (5th)
For a guy that’s originally the fourth boot, it’s crazy how intelligent Burton sounds when he talks about the game. He’s not the most dynamic personality, but he gives really good confessionals and plays a crucial role as the brawnier half of this season’s best duo.
5. Andrew Savage (10th)
Plucked directly from a 1980’s sports movie, Savage is just larger than life on this season. He gives amazing confessionals and his die-hard, passionate leadership of the hapless Morgan tribe is entertaining and admirable if a little misguided. Drake is flooded with characters from top to bottom, while Morgan is really Andrew and the Savagettes, and he’s so dynamic he can carry any scene no matter how mundane.
4. Lillian Morris (2nd)
Lill is moreso the human embodiment of chaos stuck in an emotional older lady’s body than an actual player in the game. She’s so annoying so I get why people wouldn’t like Lill, but she’s responsible for so many spectacular moments that I can’t help but love her.
3. Sandra Diaz-Twine (1st)
The highest compliment I can pay to Sandra is that she would still be a top tier character if she went out at like 12th. Luckily she also happens to be one of the best players of all time, so what the fuck, we get to see Sandra get loud too for an entire season.
2. Rupert Boneham (8th)
Without a doubt the greatest casting in the history of reality television, Rupert was made for Survivor Pearl Islands and Survivor Pearl Islands was made for Rupert. I know he becomes a caricature of himself later, but through his first run, the swashbuckling, stealing, fishing, dress-wearing, gentle giant is such a completely perfect Survivor character. Every scene that Rupert touches turns to pure gold (maybe besides his final words), and every time I rewatch this season I’m reminded why America fell in love with this man.

1. Jon Dalton (3rd)

Every hero needs a villain, and fittingly, as we get one our best heroes to date, we most certainly get our best villain as well. Jon’s pure evil in gameplay and in confessionals is unmatched in Survivor history, and he makes such a brilliant villain because he’s also unbelievably good at the game, and generally a step ahead of the heroes. That is until it all comes crumbling down in the most embarrassing way possible, capping off an absolute once-in-a-lifetime story arc for a villain in Survivor.

Overall Thoughts
In all honesty, Pearl Islands was my favorite season coming into this rewatch. Nothing was going to change that, and shocker, it didn't.
Basically every episode sans the Ryno one would be the best episode in most other seasons, but for PI its just banger after banger. That largely comes down to the perfect casting, with Rupert and Fairplay leading the way as our main protagonist and antagonist, and both playing the roles spectacularly. That's not even mentioning the absurdity that is Lill, or maybe my all time favorite player in Sandra.
PI doesn't take itself too seriously, but still delivers fluid and exciting gameplay interspersed with these amazing characters. From top to bottom, Pearl Islands is everything Survivor should be.

Yeah, I know I wrote a novel, but I just want to make sure I get it ALL out there.
Before I get started explaining the issue, I'd like to add to this that BEFORE I had reinstalled Windows 7 over a year ago due to the failing hard drive, I could easily screen record at 1366x768 at 60FPS (Using ANY screen recording program, OBS, VokoscreenNG, ShareX etc). Heck, even 1080P would record fine at 30FPS on this thing ( I don't remember if I tried 60FPS). And that was with a failing HDD. I've now been using a Crucial MX500 SSD, and everything's been much faster, well that is except for screen recording, quite the opposite now.
But now.... No matter what settings I use, the screen recording gets extremely choppy with the slightest of objects on the screen. Both OBS and VokoscreenNG, they are lagging even set at 30FPS. I pop open a browser window and scroll even a little, the frame rate drops to 21FPS. CPU usage is at a constant 60% - 85% on all 8 cores.
On OBS, I've even dropped my desktop resolution down to 800x600 and then the Canvas res to 800x600 (output same). I've tried bitrates from 2500 Kbps to 9500 Kbps. I've tried QuickSync H.264 and also X.264 encoders. Target usage, I have set to Fast. I've even tried Very Fast and nothing changed. I've disabled Aero in Win 7. Just having Aero on causes severe choppiness and the frame rate drops to a constant 20FPS without even having anything on the screen. This was never the case before. I could have Aero on and it would do a full screen recording at a steady 30FPS. I never had to disable it. I'm not trying to record anything heavy at all. Just a browser window in Firefox. But it doesn't matter if Firefox is open or not, the recording is still lagging a lot and bogging the CPU.
I really can't figure out what could be the issue. I have set it to use the QuickSync hardware encoder and it makes absolutely no difference on how much CPU or choppiness there is. Almost seems like it's not using GPU encoding at all.
It's an older Dell Latitude E6540 laptop with the i7-4800MQ (with the HD4600 iGPU and a secondary AMD (ATI) Radeon 8790 GPU). 16GB RAM and a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD. Have the latest video driver that's available from Dell. Have MOST Windows updates aside of the ones you want to avoid, and maybe ONE or TWO.. which I think was for .NET Framework but that one always fails to install.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I didn't want to ask in the OBS sub. My posts always get auto deleted over there or disappear for some reason. And last time I asked them about an issue a year ago (on their Discord), all they said was "your computer is too old and CPU is too slow blah blah". Yes I KNOW it's old and slower. But I know what it's capable of doing and well... it's NOT doing it. Seriously I don't know what I'm missing here.

Ive been using overclock Ursela change for a party wide heal, and relying on Pneuma for large damage with chain attack. Crit damage heal only heals one person, and doesnt heal enough to make it worth it. I find Ursela party heal keeps everyone alive far faster, although I do need to continue to level her up (her quest is SO long). No, i have no DLC, so no PoppiQTPi. Other than Pyra/Mythra, no one else is S rank.

Mk. VII Arek: He and his minions kill me within 20 seconds, doesnt matter if im playing as tank or not. Im dead, 20 seconds, I cant even get more than a few moves in to even attempt to set up a strategy on these guys. And 20 seconds was my best run out of like 10.

Benf: Damage output on this dude is huge. Everyone is dead in 2 hits, except when he uses his poison breath attack, then its an instant party wipe. I can last about a minute on this guy, but otherwise his colossal damage output kills me so quick.

Gladiator Orion: Ive actually lasted about 5 minutes against him. I was able to build up about 5 orbs, but he was killing people far too quickly for me to even be able to unleash a party attack. Party drops like flies. I tried the Morag evasion skills, and the skill, even with items, has too long of a cooldown time to be a reliable method. I attempted to topple lock him, but even with break resist on both Rex/Nia, ive never gotten him to break even once, so I cant even topple the bitch. If there is this much trouble even breaking him, I dont see topple strats working. Only way I can keep up as long as I do is with the help of the Crystal Ring that has my party gauge fill up so fast, otherwise I wouldnt be able to resurrect people fast enough.

I posted here a few days ago and got some helpful advice and hints, which has allowed me to kill King Ken, Ophion, Reeking Douglas, and ChickenHeart. Havent attempted Tyrannotitan yet. But these 3 I just cannot kill, hell I cant even last more than a couple seconds against some of them. Any help would be appreciated. Again.

Good afternoon. Over the last week, two teams have submitted Gross Inactivity drop requests, one at the Majors and one at the Minors level. We’ve communicated with the relevant captains but held back a public announcement thus far so that we could properly assess associated penalties. We’re now prepared to disclose our disciplinary announcements pertaining to future seasons.
Veggie Tiles (MVGT) have dropped Kaleb for Dalek.
Kaleb will receive a one season ban, and will be ineligible to play during season 31.
Over the Pants Handoffs (NOPH) have dropped Kenway for Sweatypete.
Kenway will receive an indefinite ban available to appeal in three seasons. After season 33 he will be able to petition future CRCs for a reversal. As this is his second draft-stock affecting offense in two seasons, the consequences have been increased.
The bottom line is that when you sign up for competitive tagpro, you are making an obligation to your team and to the league. Failure to live up to that obligation breaks trust with the community and makes issues for parity. Being hard on ghosting is the best way we can defend the league from rampant manipulation. If you are signed up, please understand the responsibility that comes with it. If a situation pops up that causes you to need a break from TagPro, you must fully disclose the context to the CRC otherwise we have no choice but to assume it doesn’t meet our standards for “not at fault” ghosting.

Hey guys,
I followed a youtube tutorial to get set up with a basic multiplayer setup but now that I have reached the end for some reason its not working.

I create the session and load player 1 into the game. I find sessions with player 2 and the session pops up. I hit join as player 2 to join player 1. I get connection successful fire. I dont load the level and stay staring at the join button. 

When I look at the logs right before hand this was happening.

My little brother broke his new Pixel 7 Pro only a few weeks after I got him it during Christmas, 2022. Finally got the screen replacement about a month ago and replaced the screen a few days ago.
My little brother came to me earlier today saying that his fingerprint isn't working. He showed me what was happening and when he tried using fingerprint, it would pop up an error and displaying a link that takes me to this website: pixelrepair.withgoogle.com. I followed step-by-step on what it said, but it repeatedly failed halfway through the installation.
I read through a ton of articles and ended up following a few telling me to install Android Studio and install some Android USB driver thing. I followed every step and tried the above link again but to no avail.
I spent about an hour and a half updating the phone's software and I don't think it was previously, but it is currently running Android 13. Tried all previous steps again but nothing. I don't want to Reset the device itself cause, well, that's a very last resort option. I've seen quite a few articles saying it didn't work even after a reset either so.

Developer mode is on, and I've enabled USB debugging.
Phone is up-to-date (not on any sort of beta release)
Connected to Xfinity Mobile
Screen replacement was an OEM Screen on the IFixIt website. Fingerprint sensor came with the new Display.

With Wemby putting on the spurs cap in 12 days, everyone seems to assume Pop will be a lock to return for next season at least. Do we expect to hear about it during the start of free agency at the earliest?

Conquerors Haki Idea Conquerors Haki should, in my opinion, be added to Blox Fruits in the next coming updates, and here is my idea on how it should work and how it will be obtained.
HOW TO OBTAIN CONQUERORS HAKI I think Conquerors Haki should be able to be obtained through some sort of trial/quest in Blox fruits. However, this quest should have requirements to be unlocked. The first requirements should be 1.Have full body Armament Haki unlocked. 2.Have max Observation Haki dodges unlocked. 3. Have a minimum of 2.5 million Bounty or Honor. Also, the minimum level you should need to be to be able to unlock this quest is level 2000, that way the player will be pretty experienced in the game to be able to unlock such a power. Now, I will talk about how Conquerors Haki should work and what abilities it should have.
CONQUERORS HAKI ABILITIES I think that Conquerors Haki, when it is obtained, should work as a level system, with there being a max of 30 levels, and it will use a XP system too. When you first obtain this Haki, it will start at level 1, and you will be able to level it up by using it against both NPC's and enemy players. However, using it against NPC's will give much less XP than against enemy players, who will give a lot more XP. Now how will this ability work? Let me explain. So, you will be able to activate this Haki by the press of a button on mobile, and a key on PC. When pressed, it will let out a blast of Conquerors Haki in a small range, this range will get larger every 10 levels, level 1-10 will be a small range, 10-20 will be a medium range, and 20-30 will be a large range. If a player or NPC is caught in this range, they will only be killed instantly if they are 1000+ levels below your own, if they are 1-499 levels below your own level, they will only have a effect pop up on the edge of their screen, this effect will happen when your Conquerors Haki is in levels 1-10, when it gets to levels 10-20, if you are caught in the range, the effect on their screen will be a little bit larger, but your enemies will be stunned for 1-3 seconds, and the Conquerors Haki user will be able to control who they use this Haki on if they choose to, if they choose not to choose specific people to use it on, it will be unleashed in a range around you like normal. Also, the player who has this Haki will be able to use it more often, the cooldown for this will be 45 seconds in levels 1-10, 30 seconds in levels 10-20, and 15 seconds in levels 20-30. Finally, when a player's Conquerors Haki is at 30, the max level, it will be given a new type of ability, known as, Advanced Conquerors Haki. This type of Conquerors will only be able to be unlocked by these requirements. 1.The user has maxed out their normal Conquerors Haki to level 30. 2.The user has 50-100 kills with their Conquerors Haki. 3.The user is at the current max player level in Blox Fruits. If these requirements are all met, a trial will be unlocked for the player. This trial will consist of a puzzle, and boss fights where you have to use Conquerors Haki to defeat the bosses. If completed, the player will be bestowed with Advanced Conquerors Haki. This will open up a new power for the user. It will allow the user to imbue their weapons with Advanced Conquerors Haki. Think of it as a much stronger version of Armament Haki. If you apply this Haki to your weapons, their attack potency will increase by a lot, but there is drawbacks to this power, when you imbue a weapon with this power, it will last for 15 seconds. After the duration is done, you cannot use Advanced Conquerors Haki for a full minute. However, there is also a level system to Advanced Conquerors Haki. There will be 5 levels to it, when you first obtain this type of Haki, your level will be at 0, each level will increase the duration of your weapons being imbued with Advanced Conquerors Haki by 3 seconds. So at level 0, the duration will be 15 seconds, at 1, 18 seconds, 2, 21 seconds, 3, 24 seconds, 4, 27 seconds, and at max level of 5, 30 seconds. Also, the way to level up your Advanced Conquerors Haki will be the same as leveling up for normal Conquerors Haki, the more kills you get with it, you get XP, but leveling up your Advanced Conquerors Haki will be much harder than leveling up the normal version. Once fully mastered, this will give the player a sense of satisfaction after mastering both types of Conquerors Haki. Also, this is another idea I had for normal Conquerors Haki, there could be clashes of Conquerors Haki between players when it is used at the same time. The winner will be dependent on whose Conquerors Haki is a higher level. If they both have it at the same level, it will be down to a 50/50 chance for both of them, and the loser will be either killed, or stunned for 5 seconds. Another idea I had is for Advanced Conquerors Haki clashes, like Roger and Whitebeard's clash in the One Piece anime. This will be down to who has a higher mastery on their Advanced Conquerors Haki. If both players have it at the same level, then it will cancel out each others attacks, and stun both players for 5 seconds. That concludes my idea of adding Conquerors Haki to Blox Fruits, I wrote all this out before I learned that the developers have said they will most likely never add Conquerors Haki to Blox Fruits, but I just thought it would be nice to have all 3 Haki types, you know?
