I'm in the process of upgrading my system from am4 (5600x) to am5 (7600). In my AM4 system, I lightly sanded the IHS on the 5600x to make it perfectly flat before using liquid metal TIM. Worked great, temps we very low.
Looking at my 7600, the IHS appears to be flat already (when I run my finger over the top of the IHS, I can't feel any grooves / etching on it).
I plan to carefully apply the thinnest layer of liquid metal on my.new 7600 (non-X) and on my waterblock.
Planning to overclock CPU as much as possible (I have my 5600x upto 4.75ghz on all cores).
Has anyone had to do any special preparation on the CPU (lapping or sanding) to ensure CPU is flat?

I started playing bass casually ten years ago give or take. Eventually someone needed a bassist in a rock band and it was off to the races for a year or two. Never worked out that well for me anyway. The drama, control, egos, that's just MY experience. Took some advice and went back to guitar working on covers which was going pretty well. During that time I got hooked up with these two older (than me) players. One is very seasoned, he's the boss lol. The other is similar. We eventually came together over time, they do acoustic covers and wanted a bassist. They pestered me some. I was hesitant to put that kind of sacrifice in when I had to depend on others but eventually gave in. They are well established and have their shit together, know what it takes.
Last week we played two hours at a benefit for a family that lost their barn. Tonight we played a restaurant/bar. People aren't coming to see US, (besides maybe wives kids etc, but I don't expect anyone to follow us, we're there to provide ambiance and LIVE entertainment which is of value) We play some country, classic rock, 60's, honestly there's not much we can't play.
I guess I'm kinda stoked knowing I'll have no shortage of gigs and opportunities. There's plenty of room for me to grow and get established now. My main goal is to be playing guitar and singing as a one man act and I've already put some songs together quickly. It's a tradeoff. I could be busting ass getting my own gigs and trying to keep motivated, at some point that's what I plan on, a one man show. But playing with these two is a pleasure, it's not a headache, and tbh I think being lucky enough to have this opportunity it's a great advantage. There are deff plusses to playing with others, finding the right ones is tough but it seems I just happened to so I'm going with it.
TLDR: I played a paid acoustic gig with two other solid musicians tonight, and I'm just feeling very content since it seems likely we'll be doing this for awhile with any luck. It feels good knowing I'm finally going to be busy playing live and getting paid without the headache I've found to be intolerable (for me anyway) that comes with a full rock band.....

Currently live in nyc. I live within walking distance of many bars, which i frequent, despite telling myself I am no longer drinking. Also there are weed shops every god damn corner. Debating moving to California where I might have more of a support network, in an area not in a city. A fresh start might be good, but i worry that I will just be a degenerate drunk wherever I go. NYC is difficult as someone with vices.

I bought a wooden Swedish ladder (AKA stall bars) (this is the product: https://www.wedantakids.com/products/wooden-swedish-ladder-wall-set-2) that I'll install on a wall in my house.
The ends of the vertical boards will "sit" on my hardwood floor, then the whole thing will be screwed to studs.
I'm worried that if we uninstall it in a couple years,it will have rubbed / indented / damaged the hardwood floor where it sat.
What can I place under it so that my floor won't be damaged but the Swedish ladder will still receive vertical support from the floor?
I think I need something incompressible so that it provides vertical support to the ladder when people climb on it. Otherwise all the weight will be supported by the wall screws in shear. I've thought about 1/4" HDPE, but I'm not sure if there are better ideas out there.

I love doing a permadeath attempt for my first time playing RPGs because it increases my immersion and I rp better when there's risk involved. I'll admit I didn't count fall damage that seemed like bs cus, but I'm not doing this for clout. Aside from that though I didn't do any savescumming. I'm also using Union patch, controller plugin, and stamina plugin, which I'd argue that sprinting is kind of "unfair" compared to the original. But again, not in it for the clout.
Anyways, I got to old camp and got hooked into a fued with Bloodwyn as his goons began screwing with me. I was basically dealing with that in between attempts at feeling out the monsters in the area and hauling ass from the ones that I couldn't handle. I was starting to get stumped on how to make cash and was scared of exploring too much because I know OHKOs were guaranteed, and from my time with Risen I knew that running away likely wasn't always going to be safe, even with sprint. After farming a couple levels, beating up the diggers outside of town for presumably helping Bloodwyns lackey mug me and getting a Withered Axe, I got some cash from random looting and some smart plays and used it to get to get the ability to loot lizards and wolves. I was then stumped because now I had just spent my only income on the ability to loot things I couldn't fight, and I thought that claws would include the talons of scavengers for some reason. I was sad when I realized they can only give meat. After realizing the Templars were pot dealers I was instantly intrigued and got one of them to escort me to their camp. I hadn't made any money yet, so letting him bully every monster along the way while I looted and chipped my XP closer to level 3 was a treat. I began luring random monsters to him for him to beat up, abusing the shit out of sprint. We were almost to the cultist village before I saw a pack of lizards off the side of the road. I ran up, aggrod them, and had them chase me back to my guide. Only, they ran right past him and absolutely destroyed me. I was dumbfounded by my own hubris, as it had been 3 or 4 hours of meticulously exploring what little I could and trying to manipulate the game to the best of my ability. As I stared at the screen for a few seconds, my buddy just kept swinging at the lizards. As he killed the last one, I leveled up. I saw my life bar go up a little bit. I wiggled the stick, and my corpse started turning. I opened my hot bar (union controller plugin adds an item wheel), and it worked. By leveling up, my corpse was alive. Normally I wouldn't count something like that, but I just said screw it, the game counted me as somewhat alive and I was too invested to give up. In the most hype moment of my life my corpse got up and gobbled down some cooked meat. I rationalized it for my rp that my templar friend had saved my life, resuscitated me. I was now very excited to join these virtuous stoners.....then I got there and realized they're a bunch of authoritarian pricks who follow Gurus that are sickeningly pretentious. So, I just figured I'd take them for what they've got and leave. I wandered around grabbing herbs and stray pot plants, I did the quest where you beat up the guy who's supposed to take over for another worker at the weed mashing (?) area. Upon completion, a Guru finally spoke to me. I was pleasantly surprised with a task to collect a butt load of plants and deliver them to an alchemist hut. This was my time to shine. I went and collected the harvest in the middle of the night because I couldn't find a bed. I was surprised to be promoted about asking to find a buyer. Intrigued I nervously clicked the dialogue choice and was relieved to find the dude didn't just attack me or rat me out. He wanted 50 ore I didn't have, so it took me a good ten minutes to find the blacksmith and unload. One more trip across town and he tells me to find cypher by the lake in new camp. Ight bet. So, worried that I would get ratted out or something, based off of my escalating encounters with Bloodwyn, I decided it was best to leave in the middle of the night. After almost getting massacred by wolves I just barely made it back to old camp. With a decent amount of extra cash, NO ARMOR, and all the healing items I could ask for, I very very stupidly headed the direction of my best guess towards new camp. I was in such a rush from heisting the Templars that I couldn't help but just go for it. I followed the river outside of old camp into the woods, avoiding creatures above my level. I'd love to say that from here my adventure continued in an epic fashion, but just as I was scouting out a molerat to go in for a safe kill, I was bit in the back and OHKOd by what appeared to be a velociraptor. No heroic death, no blaze of glory, not martyr moment to relish in. Just, a bite to the back and a corpse with 50 pot plants left out in the woods....

Im not feeling super well right now, im playing htis game in a sort of mindless braindead sort of way. I picked rogue because im tying to make a adventureranger Aragorn Bronn archetype kind of mercenary character, not a zippy stealth assassin. So far its ok, crossbow, sword in right hand, and a dagger in the left work well for the aesthetic but now i just need to skills. Im not good a theory crafting and right now im pretty banged up with both my legs being broken. So can someone just share a pretty decent melee leveling guide? I want at least one range skill on the bar, like puncture, otherwise the fact i never use my crossbow would drive me nuts. Im only level 11 right now.

I tried to explain to them that salvation was a free gift given to anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus and they reject this idea and said that salvation is tied to being a good person (which is impossible for anyone to achieve). If people had to be good to get into heaven no one would go into heaven, the bible says this in a few different places.
Proverbs 20:9 “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?”
To be deemed a good person according to the law of Moses, keeping just a handful of commandments is not enough, you would have to keep all of the law.
James 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
And the standard that you have to meet to be deemed good according to the law is not as low as not murdering people or not committing adultery, as the Lord Jesus said it himself
Matthew 5 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

After a lot of research and trying out many guitar necks I've finally narrowed down on these two models mentioned in the title for my new guitar. I'm leaning towards Ibanez Prestige but I've been hearing that the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups on them aren't that great. The ESP comes with EMG 81/85.
I play mostly melodic death metal, prog metal, symphonic metal and similar styles. I'm not much of a shredder and play more rhythmic parts. My favourite artist is Opeth.
I would like to know which guitar (pickup) would be a better choice for my style all things considered from those of you who've used both pickups.
I'm not keen on upgrading pickups on the guitar after buying mostly because I don't want to spend more money on pickups/upgrades. I'm not in the US so my options to actually try these specific models or find other models are limited and these two are the ones that I've shortlisted from the ones available with the retailer.

I gave them aliases. They all sucked.
“Born Yesterday” A social worker I talked to in middle school. She wanted to mediate a conversation between me and my sociopath mom. She asked if that's what I needed in order to be able to open up. It could have been a matter of them acknowledging signs of abuse but assuming my mother was safe. Or they just victim blamed and pathologized me and assumed my parents were well-meaning. Either way, I sabotaged having to see her again by telling my mom they were asking all sorts of questions at school, and she came in to complain. Never saw her again. The trauma hit me hard later, thinking I lost a chance to get rescued.
“Getting my credentials” A lady I talked to only once, some months later. She didn't have any credentials. She let my mother cry crocodile tears and play the victim. My mom was practically begging me not to lay a hand on her ever again or she would pack her bags. That's kind of a cheap way to talk about abuse, but my mother was a sociopath playing games. I started crying hysterically and went mute throughout. I never saw the lady after that one “intervention”.
“Don't even say anything” A psychiatrist who based his assessment only on what my mother had to say. I was mute throughout everything and my mother was denying it was a lifelong issue. This doctor asked questions and answered them himself, never looking up from his papers. He confirmed my mother's suspicions that I essentially refused to talk to people, and labeled me Avoidant Personality. I was just shunned socially, mute, and was living in isolation, locked in a room due to abuse.
Those first two I met in the US, the rest in Latin America.
“Latin Dr. Mengele” Many years later, I met this psychiatrist who oversaw operations at a therapy cult. He was a pervert, gaslighter, abuser, and enabler of horrible circumstances for the patients. We had every type of abuse you can think of.
"Budding Cult Leaders" Two psychologists supporting the psychiatrist and the rest of the show at the rehab cult. Both seemed narcissistic. Both acted spiritually superior but played dumb when it came to the horror show they were enabling.
"Poptart Mengele" A psychiatrist at another instance where I was institutionalized. She dressed a lot like a popular Latin pop star (really loud and young), she had adult braces at around 40. The day I arrived here, the other doctor, Latin Mengele, was present. I can't even with this other experience. The hospital was run by clowns. Awful, pretentious, delusional narcissists.
"Horror Movie Asylum Keepers" The staff at the hospital I was in. A lot were relatively normal. Overwhelmingly, they were horrible people. Too much stuff happened, and I don't want to go into details. Toxic work environments refine their staff and culture in ways you should never. You end up with “innocents” who enable horrors and plain sociopaths running the show.
"Dipshit Whisperer" The first person I really talked to trying to deal with lifelong complex trauma. She was abusive. Most of the time, she heavily sympathized with other abusers in my life. She hid behind them and used them as a shield and favorite weapon to gaslight me.
"Let me handle it” I tried to stop seeing Narc Whisperer and jump ship. This guy was worse and a huge bigot. He hated my guts. One of the first clues that he was shady was how he presented himself on a first meeting as my newly anointed savior. I immediately thought it was a red flag. I talked about childhood mental health issues and how they affected immigration and school performance. He was disparaging about my intelligence, past school performance, my status as an immigrant, and he was insensitive, to put it mildly, about everything else.
“The one I just didn't click with” I saw another lady who seemed uncomfortable with me and vaguely disbelieving. She was the nicest of all.
“Trauma Uninformed” This lady thought what I had to say about trauma was unscientific, but also said she agreed I had CPTSD. She just seemed like the type to not recognize CPTSD, but was willing to compromise for the money.
“Psicologx” This lady was a hipster who overused gender inclusive language in her socials. She has a big online presence. She came across as volatile and passive-aggressive, with a really nasty ring to her slights. I almost didn't go back after the first time I saw her, based on instinct and how horrible the first conversation was. She texted me a test that assessed for personality disorders before I made up my mind to leave. I went back, probably subconsciously, to defend myself. We had an awful second conversation. She was one upping me, sensitive to my know-it-all attitude when it came to my experiences. It's a defense mechanism. Or she was trying to hit a nerve by using my own words against me. The topic of suicide was brought up and she disbelieved my story. I was deeply depressed in my teens, with a passive desire to “leave” my problems and life. I said my life got better the longer I was not a child in total vulnerability to an awful environment. She said my story didn't fit what she knew, and it couldn't be like I said.
I gave up on finding someone after this, and I needed to save money, so it was a mild blessing in disguise. I've felt like an awful person, a faker, and the actual problem for a long time. I'm trying to get over that, so I wrote this.

I also enjoy anime although I’m a bit picky with what i watch. For music, I enjoy J-pop/rock, vocaloid stuff, game soundtracks, and 60s to 80s rock. Especially 80s hair metal. Oh also I’m a big fan of Star Wars and I collect Lego.
I’m looking for a girl to be friends with at first and see where things take us, maybe to something longer term if it works out.

Bad English aside, to me, the track feels like a night-sea journey all alchemical albedo, nigredo, rubedo. Wondering if metal played a part in your journeys.

I’ve been watching from the start of the series as a new viewer (so no spoilers please) but I cannot handle the way the writers for this time period are utilizing the return of Kristin Forrester. What should’ve been a more eventful and integrative return to the fold, is turning out to be her just being around to prop up Clarke!

When she and Felecia first went to the Bikini Bar together, I was like, oh cool! We’re going to see what these two are like as sisters. Nope. That was their last and seemingly only scenes together except for Stephanie’s pool party. She’s such a weird outsider with the rest of the Forrester clan. Like Ridge and Thorne should be trying to convince Kristin to not fall for Clarke again!
Was there an issue, behind the scenes, with the actress at all that they keep her so segregated?
Also, one other small rant is how lack-luster Margot’s exit from the series was and how the odd character of Blake Hayes even had more closure when he left. Lol
