2023.04.02 05:05 InaudibleShout Ride-on for a 36 inch gate?

Looking for a riding mower to fit through my 36 inch gate. It’s 39 across, but only about 34 at it’s narrowest (since it’s diagonal and not parallel with my house).
The new Ryobi 30 inch zero turn says it’s about 40 assembled, but I don’t know if that includes the chute/mulch plug. I measured it at Home Depot today and it came in closer to 37 inches. Not sure if I’d be able to zig-zag it through the gate or not.
My other option seems to be the 30 inch from HART that has a steering wheel. Can’t find any dimensions on it, unfortunately.
Anything that’s historically been smaller (some Snappers or Troy Bilts) don’t seem t be available anymore. Seems like most 30” decks bottom-out at around a 40-42 inch mower in total. Would either of those ride ons I mentioned work, or should I look at a self-propelled and a sulky instead? If so…is there any indication I should look at on a mower to see if it’d work with a sulky?

2023.04.02 00:31 ag1997 Best Credit Card for monthly insurance/cell phone bills?

Title is self explanatory. Now that I am about to turn 26 (M) my parents are looking to take me off their car insurance and cell phone plan. What card can help me get the most out of monthly payments?
Current cards I own:
*I am thinking about switching from the Propel to the AMEX BCP
Looking to preferably stay within the Chase ecosystem.
Thanks.

2023.04.01 23:39 AstreiaTales Just bought my first house. Never bought a lawnmower in my life. Help?

Lot is 9600 square feet but it's a ranch-style house so a lot of that is the actual home. My girlfriend and I have been doing a lot of our shopping for the home at Costco, and we found this guy for $600.
I like the idea of a cordless electric lawn mower and the reviews seem pretty good, but that seems steep to me. Is that a fair price for this sort of thing? Is that a ripoff?
Please help me, lawnmowers, I have no idea how to start!

2023.04.01 22:11 hyperactivekids Push mower won't start

I have a 2 year old troy bilt TB110 that started having starting issues at the end of the season last year. I put a new carb on it and was able to get it through last season. I tried to get it going yesterday for the first time this season and it will not start at all. I put a new sparkplug, air filter, oil, blade, and fresh gas. I am no mechanic and am at a loss for what to do next. I am about to just get a new mower because I don't have the time to fight with this thing every week. Anything I may be missing? Also, it's a primeless mower that is advertised to start on the first pull every time. There's no prime button or choke.
The last few times I used it last year the pull cord didn't want to go all the way back in and I spun the blades by hand to get the cord back and that seemed to get it started for some reason because it would start on the next pull.

2023.04.01 02:28 Templar42_ZH DCMWSP255Y2 Worth it?

Through the tragedy of life, my lawn tractor is no longer accessible. The thing is overkill anyways for our current yard.
Questions in mind are: How good is the blade adjustment? Can this handle mulching or will that kill the batteries? Does the self propel work decent on 25° grade?

2023.03.31 04:39 YouthsIndiscretion Spring super savings event and Atlas power tools

So I just saw the advertisement for the spring super savings event of 20% off one item and 10% off Atlas power tools specifically. I've seen the self-propelled electric lawn mower is at its cheapest right now, and it looks perfect for my yard. Since I just started visiting my local harbor freight this February, does anyone know if there will be better deals/ coupons bringing it down even more before memorial day?

2023.03.30 20:30 seandon2020 First time dealing with my Lawn. Would like tip/tricks and products if possible

First time dealing with my Lawn. Would like tip/tricks and products if possible
North Texas.About 1 acreHave not contacted any Lawn Service yet.Would like opinions on steps or procedures to take to somewhat control before calling lawn service since the lot is sort of big. And I am trying to save up money for a Zero Turn Mower.
I have been manually pulling them out my self with a weed puller tool that goes into the roots. But I feel like that is a battle that I am losing against. I have also used Scotts Turf Builder, which the workers stated would take out Dandilions and other weeds. Its has been 3 weeks and I do not see much results. Everytime I feel like I take out majority, the next week its doubles...
If possible does any one this these will help:- Gordon’s SpeedZone Lawn Weed Killer- Southern Ag Surfactant for Herbicides Non-Ionic- Southern Ag Amine 2,4-D WEED KILLER
Any advice will be highly appreciated!

2023.03.30 18:23 dggg Difference between push and self-propelled?

I have a pretty small yard (around 2500-3000sq ft) and have a pretty old gas mower right now. I'm looking at EGO 56v. Since I don't have a big yard I was looking into push model to save some bucks but the self-propelled version is 70$ off right now so it's only 50$ more than the push version ! I'm just wondering
  1. If pushing a self-propelled is the exact same
  2. If the battery would last equally to the push version IF I don't use the self-propelled feature
  3. Is there any disadvantage in getting a self-propelled vs the push version?
  4. Is the performance the same between the self-propelled and the push version?
  5. Is the self-propelled very louder than the push?
These are the links to the models I'm looking at (in Canada)

2023.03.30 01:36 CaptArrrKelly Do I need to return this thing?

I bought a Troy-Bilt TB105b push mower. It's a newer version of the last mower I bought and that one set up with no problem and ran for a few years. So I assumed this one would work the same.
I followed the horribly drawn instructions and even pulled up some video walkthroughs when things weren't working. I got the handle set up, put the oil in, gas, etc. and then came time to run the recoil rope. So I did just that. It didn't want to come out smoothly, I kept having to let it go back in a bit and pull some more to get it out. Finally, it gave me enough to secure it. This may be a clue as to what's wrong, but I don't know.
Now when I go to start it, I pull the cord and it won't come out all the way. It just catches and yanks the entire mower backwards.
I'm thinking that since I couldn't pull the recoil cord out in a smooth motion (and I'm holding the blade control during this btw), that something must be wrong with the equipment. Before I call and see about an exchange, I wanted to ask if there's anything I might be missing here. I can use a mower and fix a couple things, but am far from mechanically gifted. Any ideas?
Thank you.

2023.03.29 19:47 Jay-jay1 Mower won't start after tipping on side

It's a self propelled mower with a Briggs engine. This happened last Summer. I had tipped it on it's side to check the blade and clean out the undercarriage. After that it would not start. I checked the plug, and it was not oil fouled. I cleaned the air filter. I wasn't sure what else to try, so I just put it away for winter. Yesterday I tried some carb cleaner as that's how we recently got my buddy's mower going. It didn't work. Any ideas? It sure can't be a flooded engine after sitting all winter.
Update: It turned out the magneto was dead, so no spark. Just coincidence it happened after tipping it last year.

2023.03.29 15:25 zovered Automower connect app will not pair, stuck on "Please wait..."

We have no cell phone service where we are at all, but I would think I could still get automower connect app to pair over bluetooth. It just sits with the "Please wait..." circle spinning when I try to pair it. I have waited 15mins and it still just sits there. I have tried every trouble shooting step husqvarna recommends with no luck. I'm wondering if it needs a cell connection for initial startup or it won't move forward without one? My next step is to put it in the car and drive to where there is service and try again, but any other thoughts?
