I’m in England, I got fired yesterday as my absence at work was unacceptable apparently. I never took the piss, the job I was hired to do required heavy lifting and a LOT of driving often over 200 miles daily delivering groceries/in home appliances. I’ve been there 16 months. I had 7 absence occurrences each for varied amounts ranging from 2 days off to 2 weeks. 4 of my absences were due to muscular problems ranging from sprained ankle to straining muscles in my back and neck not being mobile enough to ensure the safety of myself and other road users whilst driving a 3.5 ton van. One of these was for 2 weeks whilst the doctor prescribed antibiotics to reduce inflammation across my shoulders and neck. The other 3 were simply due to having the shits/stomach bug. They made a point, as we handled food items, that nobody should come to work for at least 24 hours after experiencing any stomach/sickness issues. Each absence was reviewed in a meeting which took place yesterday and honestly I feel that all were valid as I 1. Wouldn’t of been able to drive safely and would of been putting others at risk by driving when I couldn’t use the mirrors properly and 2. I would of been handling food items potentially contaminating them and handing them to customers. I have 7 days to appeal this decision and if successful will be reinstated, I’d really appreciate any help towards structuring an email to begin the appeals process. TIA

I'm a 26-year-old with a background in networking and computer hardware, as well as experience in sales, inventory management, and SAP.
I'm not from the US.
I worked for about 3 years in a computer store that sold anything under the sun, think amazon but with local stores and fixing computers in the back office. After 2 years I became the manager of that store and had 3 workers under me.
After leaving my job as a computer store manager, I traveled Europe with my girlfriend in a motorhome. Now that I have some free time, I'm planning to study for the CCNA certification and pursue a career as a sys admin.
I studied networking in high school through a Cisco program, and while I had the knowledge for CCNA, I never got the certificate. After highschool I was in the army ( I was a tank driver) so I forgot most of my ccna knowledge a I had.
I also have experience with light server administration through my home server running OMV and several Raspberry Pis.
I'm interested in hearing your advice on what areas I should focus on as I work toward becoming a sys admin. I believe I'll have to start in a help desk role and work my way up, but I'm not sure what specific skills and knowledge I should prioritize. Are there other certifications or training programs that you would recommend? How much will a degree help and if it will, in what subject?
Before the computer store I did 3 months in tech support in an isp, but hated every second.
I'm eager to learn and grow in this field, and I would appreciate any advice you can offer based on your experiences. Thank you in advance for your help!

I recently moved and for about two years I had my Chromecast device successfully connected to my home stereo and projector.
At my new house I had an entirely new wifi (a sagemcom fast 5866t). I used Google home on my pixel3 mobile to successfully connect the Chromecast device to the wifi. At the end of that, it said that it was set up but could not be found. When the projector is connected it shows pictures of lakes and the time etc. When I log into my wifi control panel it appears like the Chromecast is on the network as well as my phone.
When I use a streaming service, the cast button is greyed out. When I go to Google home it says I've got no devices connected. When I try and connect a device it just spins and spins.
If I do a factory reset, it just takes me through the process of successfully connecting the Chromecast device to the wifi again. As soon as the wifi is connected to Chromecast, my mobile knows nothing about the Chromecast.
Any advice? Thanks!

I'm looking to get myself an ebike however I noticed I'm borderline for most of the bikes rider limit. I've been tempted by the Carrera Impel 3.1 due to the current sale on at Halfords but am concerned being at the upper limit will drastically reduce the range.
I don't expect to get anywhere near 75miles but would be content with about 30-35miles using a mixture of power settings on a full charge.
I'm primarily buying it for commuting to and a bit miles each way to work and it's largely flat/towpath however it is a gradual incline coming home. I'd also be looking to use the bike for fun and recreation so I'd like to use full power from time to time too.
Has anyone any alternative recommendations, comments or suggestions for me?
I'm based in Belfast if that helps.
