Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? I play a lot of different games and never have this issue with them. But if I play Civ 6 for more than 2 hours it will 100% blue screen. Hey All,
Just need some advice on how to fix this issue:
Plugging in my pc (i7, rtx 2060 super) to my Visio tv via HDMI, I turn on game mode and low latency on the tv settings but I cant get the frame rate on the tv to surpass 30hz, hence I only get 30fps and have to keep V-sync on in my pc settings, which causes a lot of lag in the controller and an undesirable gaming experience.
With v-sync off im hitting around 60fps with less lag in the controller but the screen tear is unbearable. What setting on PC or TV do I have to switch to get the frame rate of the TV to increase. I know it should be capable of at least 60hz. No matter what definition I set the display too the screen tearing persists so I think its a matter of the tvs refresh rate, just cant find a setting on the tv to tinker with that.
Any advice helps thanks!

does anyone else get this? recently i watched a tv show, and have become a bit obsessed with it and the relationship between the 2 main characters, both in the show and in real life. it’s not even a romantic relationship, it’s a father-daughter type. and i have a good relationship with my dad so i’m not sure where the feelings are coming from, but i can’t shake them. i keep thinking about the show and how good it was, and how beautiful their relationship is. and then my social media’s keep showing me edits and clips from interviews etc that just make me more interested. but i always end up feeling sad after because i’m not a part of it? at least i think that’s what the feeling is. i’m wondering if anyone else has felt like this, and how you explain it? or what you did to move on or look at it in a more positive way. i’m tired of feeling sad.

There has been a sexual assault/cover up investigation in my department. There was a foreign teacher that harassed/assaulted multiple girls, from sending them inappropriate texts like asking for their pictures to touching their bodies in his office. This was brought to the attention of our chair, who silenced the claims and made list of the students who complained. She then gave this list of names to the perpetrator, who in turn, gave the girls "D"s for the course he was teaching.
In the beginning of this year, the girls brought the complaints to the higher ups, the rectorship, at the instruction of another teacher. There has been an investigation and the teacher and the chair was forced to resign.
The reaction from the university was acceptable, however, this did not touch the root of the issue. The reason why the reaction from the chair was so poor and might as well say it as it is, disgusting was that the whole of our department is basically brought to the school by her. They are all her associates and students. These people who have basically started teaching in this "prestigious" university are still going to teach here. How can we know they are also not involved in the case?
There is also another concern between students: How safely can we proceed with other cases? There is another teacher who has inappropriately messaged and called students, as well as make sexual comments to students in private. After I had raised the issue of safety, some people came out to mention him. There was this girl, who had to change her department after this teacher mentioned her whatsapp profile picture was pornography site worthy. The dean has said that they were going to look into the issue.
This teacher has also called me on numerous times, outside of class hours. He has asked me personal questions, as well as make subtle comments on my appearance. However, tomorrow morning, I have a class with this teacher, and I do not know how to react after learning how far he went with other girls. I do not feel safe, but I also do not want to be intimidated with a D, or lose points because I did not attend. This is just a shitty situation overall, brought by the safety net of nepotism. As the title says. I realize that’s kind of sad. I have plenty of friends my weight or higher that I can see as beautiful and lovely but for myself?
The deepest tendril of hope wrapped around me is oriented on one simple thing, and that’s not internally cowering like a hit dog when faced with pictures of myself or a mirror. So simple. But for such a long time unattainable.
I’ve lost weight before and kept it off for a few years and I know that it isn’t a linear path to feel that way, you still can struggle with self image if that’s an issue as you lose weight and in certain phases of losing weight I’ve experienced that my old clothes have even made me seem BIGGER (my guess is it’s some kind of optical illusion to wear old things once you have others that fit your new weight, probably just how they hang on your frame causes this but it can be panic inducing).
I feel like I should have a more positive through line of what I want here but if I’m being honest, although there are many more positive ones (protecting my knees, having tools so that I’m not alone facing a lifetime of yoyo dieting, having a physical reinforcement of portion sizes, getting past limitations as a runner that I think are due to my weight) I would be lying if I said the idea of laying down some of that pain (flinching at the mirror) wasn’t the most alluring outcome of doing this on some days

My son is 2 yrs 4 months old and he's always been so clingy. But now that he's a toddler and more vocal it's just sooo much more overwhelming. He'll rarely let his dad do anything. If I walk into the other room it's MAMAAA whines he'll grab my hand and want me to sit right beside him. When we are watching tv and having a snack he will climb all over me. If I don't play with him he will freak out and throw things, hit, yell, cry. 😭 I could be with him for a whole week straight and he'll still be literally attached to my hip, whining as he holds onto my pants while I'm trying to prepare a meal or something else.
