Overview

I want to talk about Twilight's actions of trying to steal the Pearl of Seaquestria in My Little Pony the Movie, as well as her behavior in general. Quite a few people have been quick to say that she was in the wrong, or that she was being a bad friend in the movie. However I'm here to tell you that Twilight Sparkle did absoutley nothing wrong.

Twilight's Stress

First let's go over what let up to Twilight trying to steal the pearl. Equestria was holding it's first Festeival of Friendship which Twilight was in charge of putting together, and making sure everything went well. We even see in the beginning that she was already pretty stressed out.
Then things go wrong when the Storm King's army appears with Tempest, and turns Celestia, Luna, and Cadance to stone forcing Twilight, and her friends to go on a perilous adventure to find the Hippogriffs in order to save Equestria.

Her Friends Behavior

I'm sorry to say this, but really it was the other members of the mane six who weren't really being good friends to Twilight. Pinkie Pie really wasn't taking their adventure seriously despite the stack Equestria was in, and when Twilight told her not to draw attention to them in that town Pinkie Pie flat out ignored her. Then we have Rainbow Dash performing that Sonic Rainboom which caused them to be spotted by Tempest.

Morals

After everything Twilight went through in the movie, and if you really put youself in her shoes or hooves in this case, I'm sure alot of us would have probably done the same thing Twilight did. My Little Pony is great at showing morals in situatons. If we look at Twilight stealing the pearl from a moral persepective then yes it was morally the wrong thing to do as that pearl was very important to the hippogriffs/seaponies. But then let's look at the situation Equestria was in. Everyone appart from the Mane Six was imprisoned, The Storm King was about to have full control, and Twilight really had no idea if the seaponies would have helped them, and she had to think about the safety of Equestria, as that was the most important thing at the moment, not friendship, not morals, and not singing, and dancing. Equestria's safety was Twilight's main priorty, and should have been everypony else's priorty.

Infact with what I said Twilight is very similar to another complext character, Eren Yeager. Twilight stealing the pearl is the equalvelant to Eren actvating the Rumbling. Now your probably thinking to yourself how is Twilight stealing a pearl in anyway similar to Eren killing billions of innocent people, and the answer is once again morallity. Eren knows that in a moral standpoint the Rumbling is the wrong thing to do, he tries desperately to find another option, even breaks down and cries when he realizes that he had no other option. The Rumbling is morally the wrong thing to do, but it was truly the only way Paradis could survive. It's the same situation Twilight was in. Morally what she did was wrong, but at that point it really was the only option to save Equestria.

Conclusion

So in the end, while yes Twilight shouldn't have tried to steal the pearl, at that point she really had no other options because Equestria's fate was at stack. And tell me what would you do if your home was in danger would you waste your time making friends with everyone you meet, or would you do whatever it takes to protect your home even if it is morally the wrong thing to do?

Okay so I just watched this movie and first I thought it was pretty mid. But I thought the time travel was weird in the way they portrayed it and it varied from what I’ve seen previously. So the main character’s granddaughter is trying to eliminate people with hopes of preventing a civil war. It is assumed she is successful, and from that point on I assumed it would be a completely different time line. The main character kills her in 1988 and she said she would die regardless of what happened because he did this. Shouldn’t she be okay because in the new timeline, the need for her to take on this task is obsolete as there is no war or revolution?

It's a movie about some archeologist or Anthropologist who is studying this old medival site with a depiction /sculpture of a king or lord with his ear cut off. Then somehow him and his team are transported to that time and he is trying to study and find out about this guy. Then when they get caught up in a battle the main character dude gets his ear cut off! So if was him he was studying all along. Other parts I remember is the team finding a pair of modern glasses sealed up behind ancient walls in some basement of an old building or church.

Wow, what a journey the last 6 weeks have been disrupting 13 years of sludge. Ramped up 7 years ago(everyday) after a bad breakup due to near crippling depression and anxiety. For the longest time, I just had it to make me feel numb at night then normal throughout the day. Too afraid of the withdrawals and the agony from lack of sleep it would cause for me at work, I just kept going.
There have been so many times it occurred to me this plant wasn't serving me or my best interests. I never really wanted to stop though for whatever reason even though I knew it wasn't good for my body or mind. I'd have these moments where I'd be like "fuck this plant", only to create some convenient excuse to keep on going with it.
Well, I've reached an age and level of maturity where I'm not willing to waste any more of my time with this shit. No more family dinners will be denied because "kratom is more important". I'll never sneak into the kitchen(or bathroom) behind another girlfriends back to shamefully partake. I wish I could go back in time and really live those lost years. It really hurts knowing the true cost of all this.
I don't want to advise anyone, but I do want to share what has worked for me. Since I don't have any friends that know wtf kratom is, I have a lot of shame regarding even bringing it up. Glad I found this sub because it really helps reading others' experiences. My taper started by cutting amounts in half, then eventually cutting out daytime use. It took 3 weeks to get from 30+gpd down to a couple gpd right before bed(just enough to be able to sleep).
I knew the taper was working because I felt mild withdrawals during the day. During this time, I also tried to identify the positives as I definitely felt more focused than I had in a while at times. I slipped a few times and doubled or trippled the amount at night just because. The last week before I went CT, I went to 10 gpd at night. That lack of control reminded me why it was so important for me to let it go.
I planned a trip with a psychadelic as I find enormous relief from the withdrawal symptoms. Not sure on the science behind it, but psychadelics are starting to be used to treat addiction(among many other things). I decided on one with a long half life for day one. I stayed up til 5 am dancing and listening to music. Wound down with a movie then laid down for a few hours. The RLS wasn't as bad as it had been before and I did sleep a little bit.
For day 2, I knew I'd have a rough night and timed bedtime with magnesium and a .5mg clonazepam. I have a very low tolerance to benzos as I don't abuse them so once it kicked in, I was pretty much out for the night. I was suprised by how manageable the restlessness was expecting it to be much worse.
Day 3 was the last night I took a sleep aid and went with a 25mg seroquel(low tolerance) and magnesium. Sleep came pretty easy that night too. The next night I tried to sleep without any help and it definitely was a little tougher, but I didn't have bad RLS thankfully.
Fast forward to now at 175 hours since my last K, I'm excited to lay down without "needing" anything to be comfortable. The last 3 mornings, I've woken up automatically much earlier than I'm used to feeling well rested and wide awake. I feel surprisingly good, and I'm not fearful of a long recovery. I'm looking forward to it.
I can't wait to navigate my life without K especially once I go back to work. I look forward to seeing myself through my friends', families', and co-workers' eyes. I have compromised too much of my potential for far too long. I know this was long, but I hope my experience can give someone a little bit of strength and encouragement(as everyone here has given me).

Help, I want to die

I desperately need help getting ULMQ's audio features working again. I know all about Sphero pulling the app and sites like apkpure, but despite my best efforts I haven't been able to get him to move his lips and talk outside of very specific and disappointing conditions.
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that ULMQ in its original glory is one of the coolest toys ever made. The videos that show his mouth moving and him talking as he watches the Cars movies are so freaking cool. My son loves Lightning McQueen more than life itself. I just want to give him that experience.
I've officially tried everything I can think of. Most APKs won't even connect to the car. The only success I've had is installing v1.1.0. Unlike any of the other versions, this one will actually connect and allow me to drive him. The problem is that it doesn't give me any of the audio features. He will say, "I feel a power nap coming on" when going into sleep mode, and oddly enough, his touch sensors will also trigger audio responses if I force quit the app. Aside from that, he refuses to talk. The performance and drive-in features don't work, which is disappointing because those to me are the coolest things about him. But at the very least v1.1.0 has been able to connect to the 3 ULMQ's I've tested it on.
I have a very uneducated theory about how this all works. Keep in mind it's all conjecture and I'd love it if someone could confirm or refute any part of it:
"Sphero designed the car to receive audio data from company servers as a wireless download when the customer first connected the car to the app. Some people who bought the car back when Sphero provided support recall this download taking quite a while. The audio data was then stored on some form of internal onboard memory within the car itself. The audio data package may have been specific to the version of the app and operating system it was downloaded with. When updates of the app were released and installed by the customer, the audio package would probably get updated and re-downloaded as well. When Sphero's license to use the Lightning McQueen character expired, they legally had to pull the app from the app store and shut down the servers that provided the audio download. So now in 2023, if you were to buy a factory sealed ULMQ, there would be no way to get the audio features working because the car never had the audio package downloaded, and because of Sphero's discontinued support, it never will. The only hope would be to buy a used unit in the hopes that the original owner had connected it during a time when the audio package download was available. Then the challenge would be to determine which version of the app the original owner had last successfully used, as this would be the app version that correlates to the specific audio package on the car's onboard memory. Whether that person used an iOS app or an android app may even be relevant. I'm not sure. If the correct app version could be found, the audio features might be fully functional. Most versions of the APK won't connect to the car at all. I suspect this is because they're looking for the audio package on the car's internal storage, and when they don't find it, they try to connect to Sphero's servers to download it. Since the servers are no longer available, the car never gets past that step, and won't connect. For whatever reason, APK v1.1.0 (one of the first app versions) seems to be fine with not finding an audio package on the car's onboard memory, and will connect, just without the functionality of the audio. This is at least something, but the one (perhaps unfounded) concern I have about installing v1.1.0 is that I worry it somehow forces a dump of whatever audio package the original owner had installed on the car. Maybe it doesn't, but it's something to consider before installing."
I'll be the first to admit that's a total guess, but it's the best I can come up with after scouring reddit, aggressively messaging strangers like a crazy person, and trying every apk I can find. For the life of me I haven't been able to find a .ipa file of any version of the app (if anyone has one they would be willing to share, or could explain how to extract and share one from an existing iOS app, that would be amazing). A couple people I've talked to who are original owners are still enjoying full functionality of all the audio features on their iOS apps , but we haven't been able to figure out how to extract an .ipa, or how to duplicate the success on a separate device and car.
If anyone can help me add any pieces to the puzzle I would be very VERY grateful. This started as a fun little side project for my Cars-obsessed son but somewhere along the way it became personal. I just need to figure this out so I can put it behind me and move on with my life! Thank you for reading.

"Why are you so open about it(ASPD)?"
Isn't it obvious? A lot of you can't fathom why someone with ASPD would just openly come out, and admit to people, well I guess I really should've brushed up on this when I first made my post, or at least go into a far more descriptive detail than I had originally, so here goes:

If I'm ever to lead a sort of a long term relationship based on trust, and honesty, just how in the HELL do you expect me to explain this to you ever so casually? It's best to show your cards in the beginning, this is my own baggage, or some form there of.

There's two reasons I'm choosing to do this online, and vehemently under anonymity; 99% of you will be irrelevant to me, 99% of you will never meet me, it's just that simple, ergo why wouldn't I just preface my entire description as such, and as brutally honest as possible? Boredom, rage. This is what I'm capable of in the dark, empathy off. I'm constantly seeking stimuli, if you notice by actually looking through my posts, I've moved a ton of times, and always national parks... "Manipulation"
For the longest time I told myself who cares if I burn bridges in my wake, I'm building a highway in its place. Mostly still true, and I absolutely use it on a daily basis for survival, I must stress, and emphasize survival, here is why; I'm human, like the rest of you, what do you do on a daily basis, if not find means, and ways to survive, and entertain yourself? I know no other way other than to use people to my advantage, I minimize the damage where I can, and move about my daily existence, guilt, and worry free about doing any wrong, an argument could be made that we all use each other in some weight, or capacity, and that's good enough for me.

I'm sure by now you're probably wondering what the hell any of that has to do with anything, it's simple if the point flew over your head, again. I'm tired of manipulating people, using them, abusing them, discarding them, I didn't grow a conscious I'm not "growing" as a person, but much more likely, I'm just bored of the routine, or the process, which has become the symphony of my life.

"Love"
I by no means ever want to experience this love you all chase like Alice clumsily falling down the rabbit hole. I've seen it so much in my life it's downright pathetic, and I actually feel bad for those of you that have such strong emotions, see empaths. You're slaves to these emotions, you let people use and manipulate you, you've been hurt, and had your heart ripped from your chest, and it feels like you no longer have purpose, lacking direction, and meaning in life. I merely know this from generally observing humans for most of my natural born life. I'm more than happy to remain the way I have always been, and never wish to experience emotions in the way you do, I find it to be an advantage, one I can apply to more important things in life, like the pursuit of knowledge.

"Preferences"
My preferences, are just that, a list of my preferences, at no point in any of my writing did I say I was prejudice between one thing, or that I show favoritism. I merely made a chart listing some of the attributes that I myself, personally find to be significant to me, but that isn't to say, or detract from other things. It's the equivalent of asking me if I prefer Metallica, or Megadeth; well I'm going to say I prefer one over the other, but I enjoy both, and the genre as a whole, the genre being women in this case. I enjoy women for my own personal entertainment, and amusement -- which makes it all the more hilarious to me when I get called a misogynist.
so please spare me all your comments, and messages telling me that it's so "intimidating", if my post intimidates you, what can I really even begin to say about that? It doesn't sound like we'd be compatible, or much less you'd be able to accept me as a person, in any case this is a personal issue.

It's a movie about some archeologist or Anthropologist who is studying this old medival site with a depiction /sculpture of a king or lord with his ear cut off. Then somehow him and his team are transported to that time and he is trying to study and find out about this guy. Then when they get caught up in a battle the main character dude gets his ear cut off! So if was him he was studying all along. Other parts I remember is the team finding a pair of modern glasses sealed up behind ancient walls in some basement of an old building or church.

That scene with Gail looking at the photos and the portrait of Dewey in the sanctuary really brought me to tears. And when during Gail's conversation with Sam, his theme came on...
I also enjoyed hearing various references in the movie on behalf of other characters (including Ghostface's cynical taunts during his conversation with Gail), which gives the feeling that his loss carries a strong weight, and still affects the other characters.
As of last year, I still regret the fact that Dewey is gone (especially the way it was done), and we will no longer see David Arquette in his beloved character (for me personally, which has already become familiar).
Dewey was my favorite character in the franchise, and seeing him again, albeit in this form, was also a great joy for me.
I hope we can continue to see Dewey through photos, archival footage, and memories (for example, some flashback scenes, while Gail was writing the promised Dewey book).
David Arquette did a lot for this franchise, he was the heart and soul of Scream, poured out of pure gold. Based on recent interviews, he is still worried about this decision, and clearly feels sad about leaving the franchise (even Courtney and Neve were against this decision).
He deserves respect and justice, and I'd love to see him back in one form or another (the same Billy Loomis has de facto had 3 appearances in the entire franchise already, thanks to Sam's hallucination scenes). And let's not forget the realization of Randy's cameo in the threequel.
Forgive me for stretching it so far, but this is almost personal to me, and deep down I still hold a grudge against Radio Silence.

Hey all,
I caught COVID last year in November and had pretty mild symptoms. The worst I had was some sniffling and a lack of smell, thought I got off pretty easy ( might have been in thanks to the vaccines. )
However, in January I randomly experienced a panic attack. I thought I was literally going to die. No history of panic attacks or anxiety disorders. Since then, it has popped back up again several times and it's so frustrating because it seems to appear in random moments - when I'm almost about to fall asleep, watching a movie, playing a game, etc. It feels like my heart just suddenly starts beating really hard and fast or I get tingling in my arms and it spirals from there.
I got a blood test, an EEG, MRT, etc. and all of those came back clean. I'm genuinely at such a loss and I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this after COVID and if so, did it go away?

With that said, I'm one hundred percent open to multiple plots and tropes, don't be afraid to suggest things! I'm pretty lenient with fiction. Currently I'm looking for Canons (any gender pairing) or OCs that are well-developed/written.
Fandom-wise, I'm also a big fan of crossover roleplays as well. But that can be up for you to decide.​
Looking to give ships time to grow, create the chemistry in RP, and enjoy a gradual burn. Prefer the lead in and then 'fade to black' approach for the adult situations.
Main goal is to dig into the canon history and building on it in interesting ways. Appreciate thoughtful & nuanced portrayals that treat canon characters as complex.
I am a literate writer and expect the same from you. One-liners are only acceptable for the interactions that demand them, but they will remain rare. If it's a remake of an IP you love and you hate a woke adaptation... don't support it with your dollars.
People forget that movies and media are, fundamentally, business ventures. They are products to be sold to you to make a profit, and which require significant investment.
Studio execs go with remakes because like it or not, an original script repackaged with an existing IP is less financially risky than an entirely new one. And if you're going to remake an IP, you get free publicity from gender swapping and race swapping characters -- it costs them basically nothing and they earn brownie points. Clearly, the financial gain from wokeifying movies is greater than the possible loss from your ire.
But that's honestly besides the point, because that's just why these remakes get made the way they do. The real point:
If you don't like a movie, don't fucking watch it.
Seriously. The IP will still be around for Yet Another Remake.
I honestly give two fucks about these movies. "Forced" diversity makes me feel literally nothing, neither disgust nor joy. I literally do not care. If they're good, they're good. If they're, they're shit with or without every shade of the racial rainbow in there.
Knowing this, I feel like people take it personally and bitch about it incessantly online. Just shut the up about it and don't watch the goddamn movie or show or whatever. You are literally a free agent. You are not being Clockwork Orange'd into watching yet another remake with some minority window dressing.

This is so bad attempt at making comedy, there is no direction no proper editing. Farhad samji is making into next Sajid Khan. Random scene and random WhatsApp jokes make movie is his idea. He considers his audience dumb.
I am really not gonna see any thing from Farhad samji. He really waste talented actors like Sathish kaushik, Johnny lever and saurabh Shukla , i feel sorry for them.
Jamie lever is character is doing random shit inbetween unconnected to story. I can't understand how samji gets work.
