When you charge a Unit at the end of the combat phase with the Hunt and Crush subfaction ability, can the enemy unit fight, if it haven't fought yet?
Hunt and Crush:
At the end of the combat phase, friendly BLOODTOOFS GORE-GRUNTAS units that fought in that phase and are within 3" of any enemy units can make a pile-in move. In addition, those that fought but are not within 3" of any enemy units can each make a normal move or attempt a charge.

I know they would get to fight back, if it was at fight last speed, but I haven't found it via search or official faq, how this scenario works.
Is the normal mindset to pull back to your warchanter if you've wiped a unit?

Hoping for feedback on the below, my thinking is the armour of Gork makes the Megaboss more killy and survivable whilst tunnel master and battlelust make up for that 2" move.
The Warchanter should stick around longer thanks to Fuelled by rage and with his beat and the Hand of Gork the Brutes can get into play faster and do the all important killing while the Gruntas provide guaranteed mobility and some danger on the flanks.
The one drop also lets me guarantee the choice of first turn priority which I feel could be crucial depending on the match up.

I've gotten myself a nice collection of grey for now but looking for advice for how to expand to essentially run any 2000 point list I'd want to.
Right know I have 3 start collecting boxes (3 Warchanters, 30 Ardboyz, 9 Piggies), 10 Brutes, 1 Weirdnob, 1 Maw-crusher, 1 Mega-boss on foot.
My initial thoughts are more Piggies firstly, probably another 9, maybe another 10 Brutes, and in the further future a second maw-crusher for the double maw lists. My local store does great deals, so bulk buying has been very handy.

Is this list any good? Is 2 warchanter or 1 warchanter and 1 weirdnob better for this list, also which subfaction. Thanks

I'm developing a heavily simplified variant of Warhammer to play with my 7-year-old son, and I'm looking for a bit of feedback. I'm especially interested to hear from others who play WH with their kids.
Main questions:

• (For parents) Have you tried this with your kids? How have you tried to simplify the game?
• (For AoS players) If you would have to put together an army of your faction using only 3 units and a leader, which would you choose? The main purpose is the make the strategy clear to a 7-year-old, while also capturing the spirit of the faction.

Here are my thoughts so far:

1. Age of Sigmar; my son likes fantasy more than Sci-Fi.
2. Only 4-6 factions, those that my son can relate with: Elves (Lumineth), Skaven, Skeletons (Bonereapers), Goblins (Gitz), Orcs (Ironjaws). Maybe Vampires&Zombies (Gravelords) and Chaos (Slaves or Khorne).
3. Each faction should capture the spirit and play style of the faction in AoS, as much as possible. Each faction should have a simple strategy, which must be clear by looking at the units.
4. Each faction gets a fixed army of 3 units and a leader. About 600-700 points. Games shouldn't last more than 30-45 minutes.
5. 3 phases per turn: movement, combat (incl ranged and magic), and end/cleanup.
6. The battlefield is has hexagonal tiles of ~8cm. Movement stats are shown in number of tiles. I don't want to deal with tape measures.
7. Combat requires only 2 rolls: attack (D6) and defense (D6). Damage is fixed for each unit.
8. Each unit has a passive ability (e.g. flying, high defense against cavalry) and an active one. The active one can only be used once per game and requires a command point.
9. The starting player has 3 (t.b.c.) command points at the start of the game, the player that goes second has 4.
10. Not sure yet about game variants and win conditions. Possibly with 3-4 objectives on the game board. Teams win when they control a certain number or if they wipe out opposing army.

My thoughts for the factions:

• Lumineth: Balanced army, infantry only: spearmen (Wardens), ranged (Sentinels) and elite/fast (Bladelords). They move as a block, very structured. Leader: Probably lord regent.
• Skaven: A mix of different clans, but mostly artillery focused. 3 rattle guns, rat ogres, clanrats, warp lightning cannon. Leader: warlock bombardier.
• Bonereapers: Very small army with only monster (or just big) units: harvester, 2 units of 3 Stalkers. Leader: probably Mir Kainan (because I like the model).
• Goblins: Squigs and troggoths. 2 units of 10 squig hoppers, 1 unit of 3 Troggoths. Leader: boss on giant squig.
• Orruks: Infantry focused, Ironjaws. 2 units of 10 Ardboys, 1 unit of gore-gruntas. Leader: Warchanter.
• Gravelord: 60 zombies (in 2 units), fell bats. Leader: any vampire leader.
• Slaves of Khorne: Cavalry only. 2 units of chaos knights or marauder horsemen, and chariot. Leader: Chaos lord on mount.

Status: Just finished painting first army (Skaven), started assembling second (Goblins). I have most of what I need for the 3rd (Lumineth).

He had his Son throw out the first pitch to him. It was also fitting that the Buster Posey Rule came into play with the Pitt catcher blocking the plate before getting the ball.

He doesn't even use a mawkrusher, rather, his list usual centers around a warboss with Destroyer, warchanter, a unit of brutes and then some variation of 'ard boys and/or a unit of grunt as. He plays as Da Choppas. His alpha move absolute wrecks most of my lists. Mighty destroyers for speed, waagh for a pip of rend, and then violent fury on three units for nigh-on double damage, smashing and bashing to avoid me getting a counterpunch in.
I am absolutely atrocious at the game, I'll freely admit that, and my opponent has always been the better tactician - but still I'm just wondering; what would anyone do against this sort of list?

TL;DR: Critique / destroy my one size fits all races SWF Warchanter Swash for leveling 1-30 in reaper mode. All universal trees are available to me. I do not know how to take advantage of Epic Destinies because I rarely am ever above level 20 (something I really want to change). I want to do 2 ETRs per life for a while.
Hi all. Due to a recent injury I am homebound for the next few months and want to get back into the DDO swing of things. The most recent time I played was just back in Hardcore 6 and had so much fun playing as a Bard Spellsinger with SWF Shadowblade. It was a simple build for Elite content 1-20 where I used Sonic Blast, Shout, and Horn of Thunder SLAs in rooms then cleaned up with the Shadowblade and buffed / healed the whole party. The SWF Shadowblade worked well here because it was Elite and I wasn't too concerned with killing things super quickly. I love the flavor it brings.
I tried doing that again on Argo and while it did quite well in R1s through heroics due to okay gear, 36 points, +8 supreme tome, and 18 Reaper points in Defense... as soon as I hit Epics it dropped off. I am a big fan of joining random LFMs and recently joined a R3 Partycrasher group and was determined to do better after seeing the power people had. I am not expecting to outclass or even match them, but I want to try to get closer.
My goal of the build: I want to see LFMs for Reaper in Epic and Heroic and not be scared to join. I will not be hanging around at cap and will not be aiming to push high reaper there.
Now, Bard is my favorite class and I am determined to make a melee build that can work across races as a sort of "when in doubt, roll this" build because it is by far my favorite way to play the game. I will of course try different things along the way, but I want to have something reliable in my pocket.
Spellcasting is great, but my true love in DDO is hitting things with a melee weapon.
I came across the R10 bard thread and it's super cool, but also old, and I tried to adapt to a one size fits all races SWF Shadowblade style. I am totally using the Shadowblade as a crutch for early levels and by the time Epics roll around I do have a Drow Shortsword I can switch to. I can also use Fred to leave the Shortsword behind if need be if there is a huge difference using something else like Handaxes. I'm open to leaving it altogether if the power difference is substantial and can farm weapons starting today. In this scenario I would rework the Enhancement tree to grab CHA to hit from Feydark and CHA to damage from Swashbuckler.
I am also not entirely tied to SWF. I just want a Melee Bard that can contribute. For example, quests that I know well I want to be comfortable splitting off to take care of an objective by myself in Epic R1s.
Sorry for the long post, but I know how important context is to building in DDO.

There are no Epic Destinies here because I need your help with that. I can guess at a few of them, but am curious to know what you'd recommend (don't worry about explaining every point spent, just need some big hitters for ideas).
Also I just noticed this is a Dwarf, because dwarves are cool, so this just drives home the desire to have this build work on any race.

Hi Grogs and Gretchins. I’ve signed up for my first AoS tournament in April and have been trying to build up a 2000 point list from my Ironjawz and splashed some Boltboyz in for shooting. Not going for a list that wins every game, but also not made a 2000 pointer before.
With that in mind, I’ve made a somewhat narrative list of a small Kruleboyz and Ironjawz army joining up for a kill-off. Winner takes the shiny rocks they found. As experienced children of Gork and Mork, would love to get thoughts.
Tempted to swap out the Mirebrute for another set of Orruk Brutes so I have more bodies on the ground. Not a big fan of the Gutrippaz and Grots otherwise would have stuck some more in!
