Hope everyone is doing well out there. I'll try to keep this short.
I started getting a cough on Thursday and it's worked its way up to a full blown cold or accuse bronchitis. I tested for covid at home and I'm negative. I'm not going to go to the doctor for a cough and a runny nose. I don't get sick very often. In the last two years, it's happened 3 times I think. I work from home, but go out plenty with friends and whatnot.
Everytime time something like this happens, she says stuff like, "you should really go get checked out.... i don't understand how you get sick all of the time working from home, you never go anywhere haha" she never asks how I'm feeling. It's just negative stuff like this.
Yesterday I was supposed to go see my mom, but the cold has me locked to the couch. She had the day off from work, but just seemed upset that I had to stay home. She did some cleaning around the house and I did what I could to help out because I felt like if I didn't shed get even more upset.
Lastly, she bought some cleaning supplies on doordash from Walgreens. I was laying on the couch trying to rest and she comes downstairs and says "i just ordered some glass cleaner and dryer sheets from doordash" I replied, "oh nice we needed those."
About 20 mins later I got up and told her I was gonna go to the store to get cough drops, Gatorade, and cough medicine. She says, "why didn't you tell me you needed those things? I just doordashed stuff from the store..." I replied, "yeah, but you just said 20 mins ago you had already placed the order... you can't add stuff after the order is placed" her response, "well.... i know.... but im just saying....." I just walked out.
I don't expect anyone to go out of their way to help me if I'm not feeling well, but is it crazy of me to just not want those kinds of remarks while I'm sick? Is there a personality trait that she maybe has?

(I believe these things about people in general, not every individual.)
I believe that it's thought that sexism towards women is so much more common than sexism towards men, across the world (especially in Muslim countries) and throughout history, even fairly recent history. (However my parents and sister told me it is more common but not SO much more and that sexism is not about hating women nor seeing them as lesser inferior beings, that it's about men having had the roles of power and control, because they were stronger so exerted strength to get them, etc. But that women were also thought to have a just as important role, raising a family in the home.) And they said violence against women is not about hating them, it's just that they are easier targets.
I believe it's thought that women like men as a gender more than men like women as a gender due to this. Because people think sexism means mistreating, hating, etc. And that it's thought women treat men better and with more respect.
I believe it's thought that women like men in a more well rounded way than men like women, because of sexism and because because people think men objectify women and "only want one thing" from women, and also that if you took sex away... men would prefer men in all other ways (they think women are unfunny, they think that men are superior, etc.) And I believe it's thought that men joke about hating their wives, but women don't about their husbands.
I believe it's thought that sexism towards men is only a thing as backlash against sexism towards women. So women who hate men hate them for how men treat women.
I believe traditional roles are not seen as equal but different and are instead seen as representing a belief that women are incapable and to serve men. I believe also that it's thought that women are defined by their relationships to men.
I believe that when men do typically female hobbies and jobs women propel them to success and praise them for the bare minimum (which they wouldn't do for a woman with the same skills), like drag queens and gay male makeup artists. But women doing typically male jobs or hobbies are held to higher standards, have to prove themselves more, are not given the same support and are even verbally abused or threatened online. (Female gamers, female Mps, in sport, female celebs, etc.) And that there are boy's clubs that are hostile towards women in male dominated workplaces, but not girl's clubs that are hostile towards men in female dominated workplaces. I believe that having female main characters, idols, etc is not something many men want nor can relate to, while male main characters, idols are fine for women.
I believe it's thought that women (especially teen girls) hate each other, get jealous, compete and have internalised misogny, but that men have stronger bonds, friendships and camaraderie. (Even though my psychologist told me that it's instead believed that women mostly support each other.)
My parents, sister and psychologist told me I was wrong about all of these things and that most people don't think these things, my sister identifies as a feminist herself. But online and on Reddit everybody has the same views as me.

I’ve been trying to find any way to contact SMITE support, but I can’t seem to find an email or any online support portal - I’ve even been to page 3 of a Google search (clearly shows the dedication once you’re that deep).
I can only find their official website which provides commons answers to support related questions; but no way to actually contact them regarding something not mentioned in their general answers.
In the SMITE game itself I want to buy 8000 gems due to the gem sale; and the price is being advertised as 53 EUR (I’m from the EU) - but whenever I press the button, I’m being forwarded to nexus where they’ll only sell them for 67 USD. Due to the currency exchange rate, that’s a difference in price at around 10 USD.
So I’d like to send in a support ticket, asking how to buy the gems for the advertised price.
I have tried to write [email protected] but I’m being told that I no longer is useable.
I hope someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.

To expand the theme out a bit, in the earlier seasons you have Avon and Stringer acting as father figures to their gang underlings, and you have both Lester and Daniels serving as father figures to the younger cops in their details. Also, Frank Sobotka acted as a "work dad" for the union guys, and especially his nephew Nick, in season 2.
Furthermore, in general a lot of the "chain of command" stuff that is cited over and over again in the police, politics, jail life, gang life, education, and journalism plotlines is often presented in a very patriarchal way. Not to mention all of the broader power relationship stuff (backroom deals, favors, negotiations, backroom deals and bribes) -- I'm pretty sure the phrase "who's your daddy" or some variation pops up more than a few times.
And frankly, the same thing could be said about surrogate brotherhood in the show -- the word "brother" is used repeatedly throughout the series to portray all sorts of symbolic close relationships or parallel/peer status (specifically, I'm thinking of McNulty and Fitzhugh, who ALWAYS calls Jimmy "brother").
Anyway, I'm sure someone has written a pretty good college paper on this topic!

so im 16f with really bad mental health past, my gut hurts as im typing this. so last year I sent nude photos of myself to someone who is now in a relationship, but I just found out before going to bed thar someone that I know apparently has those photos, let’s call them jay and noah. now someone that I know told me that noah is saying that jay said that I sent him nudes (which I never have and don’t plan on doing so) and that he showed people, obviously when I heard this my anxiety just bursted out and I started panicing and crying because I mean how would they even manage to get a explicit photo like that, so I told my bff and I’ve been on call with her and she said that the person who told me is most likely lying because when we’re talking there were things that weren’t adding up, and it made me feel better by contacting jay and confronting him, according to jay he doesn’t even have a picture like that of me and never would. my next stop is trying to ask noah about it because im still very young and I know that I’m dumbass for sending in the first place but it’s like; I don’t know who is lying and who is not and how I’m going to recover from this mentally becuase im so mentally exhausted and tired. I do not know if the person who told me about this in the first place is lying or not because I don’t want to believe that they are and im just so stuck and confused. I need advice on how to handle this

I talked to my psychologist about how I don't think vaginas are appreciated and so this made me lose any interest in sex. I gave examples.
I told her straight men sexualise and fetishize women who have penises but straight women and gay men don't do that with men who have vaginas. And that this means penises are more liked & valued. She said the vast majority of men have no interest in transgender women pre op and post op and that the vast majority have no interest in women who have penises nor that type of porn, sex work/sex tourism industry.
I said men are more attracted to a performance or costume of femininity (clothes, makeup, hair) than they are to actual women, so they are attracted to feminized men, and find a woman with an unshaven body, an overweight woman, very short hair woman or UNfeminine woman more of a turn off than feminized men. And that men think femininity=submissive and wanting to be fucked. So the men who look feminine are seen in that way. Whereas women and gay men are attracted to both feminine men and masculine men (think of all the androgynous male celeb heartthrobs over the years) and not just to masculinity itself, so they would find feminine men less of a turn off than masculine women. She said not at all.
I said oral is believed to be much more commonly performed on men than performed on women, and that this difference isn't because of men being selfish, since gay men are men and very commonly give oral. She said oral is 50/50 between the genders.
I said vaginas are seen as gross and taboo and have stigma and that penises are more casual and normalised. She said not at all. She also said periods are not taboo. I said gay men are known to be far more openly disgusted by and insulting about vaginas than lesbians are about penises. She said not at all. I said lesbians are more open to transgender women than gay men are open to transgender men. She said not at all.
I said large penises, boobs and butts are more appreciated and liked than any vagina type. I said that many bisexual men say that they are bi just for penis but not for the rest of a man and many bisexual women say that they are bisexual for the rest of a woman but not the vagina. I said sex is not viewed as real sex without a penis and that sex is viewed to be all about the penis, so lesbian sex is not taken seriously. She said not at all.
I said vaginas are seen as submissive and penises are seen as dominant and that people think sexually dominant women are mostly about penis imitation in the form of strap ons and pegging. She said not at all.
I meant these things generally (not about every person) and she said I was wrong about the vast majority of people. I even asked my parents and sister in separate occasions, and they agreed with her.

i'm almost 3 years post-diagnosis, and i've started to recognise my limits. one of those is limiting stress and sensory overload, which means spending a lot of time alone. i can get on with people to some degree, but it is definitely draining, and makes work ten times more difficult. in light of that, i've realized how limited my career options are. i wanted to go into teaching, but realized that i'd get way too emotionally invested and would never stop working, which would just prompt a breakdown. i had my first job in a warehouse over last summer, but that prompted a breakdown. i've considered something like accounting or maybe even web dev, but the issue is that i'm studying an english degree, which i mostly took because it was a special interest. i still enjoy it, but the typical industries (apart from teaching) seem to be marketing or HR, which are both too social for me. so i feel like i'm at a bit of a loss with a year until i graduate - i've got basically no experience, and don't have the energy to do much but keep up with my course. so, it'd be great to hear if anyone has made a success out of something like my situation, or has any idea of a career trajectory that wouldn't be horrific. if anyone has gone into accounting or some form of tech without a STEM degree it'd be really helpful to hear how that went.

It was such a average part. Her acting seemed pretty hammy at times and I thought Olympia Dukakis walked away with the picture. It actually made Cher's performance seem less impressive.
The worst part is that the Best Actress line-up was super strong. How did Cher beatr Glenn Close for FATAL ATTRACTION and Holly Hunter for BROADCAST NEWS? Unbelievable.
Cher should have won for SILKWOOD or MASK. End of story.
