2023.06.08 17:26 lyridsreign [AETHER][MIDGARDSORMR][FC][LFM] JOIN AZURE INFINITUM! A Growing, Global, Inclusive, Active, Organized, and Friendly Community Awaits You! Welcoming Players Of All Experience, Availability, & Play-Style!
We are Azure Infinitum
Visit us at: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/)
You may have seen us in the Aether data center's party finder during our weekly events, or may have seen our recruitment shouts around the realm in-game in Midgardsormr, but there just isn't enough space in those places to really explain everything wonderful about what our Free Company and community is.
Azure Infinitum is an LGBTQ+ friendly community, and welcomes players of all experience level, play style, and availability. We're a warm home with a balance of online players, weekly optional activities, and flexible ranks from our membership, to our support & leadership categories. We have a 24/7 Support Team, a Councilship that governs each tier, seasonal events of our own, and many resources between the games we support and online services.
Who We Are
We are an established 9-year old community who's home is in Midgardsormr Server of Final Fantasy XIV. We are a structured, well-rounded, welcoming, friendly, and organized community that hosts daily events (check out our calendar: https://azureinfinitum.com/events/ ) that provide opportunity for members to excel. We work to provide an arena and opportunities to establish strong bonds and camaraderie between our members. As a community we are driven, we carry each other forward, and we are proud.
Our Name & Philosophy
Learn more about our global community here: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/aboutus/)
Learn more about our FFXIV Free Company here: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/ourffxivfc/)
Azure Infinitum means "Azure/Blue Infinity or Infinite Blue/Azure" and there is some mythos behind the name that stems from our guild-wide philosophy of kindness, freedom, vigilance, diversity and activity. We promote positive fellowship among members in an organized guild, with our sights open to our unending endless skies, full of possibility and success together.
Our motto is "As Free As The Azure Sky!" which stuck well when our FC was restructured from an old guild in 2014 as Azure was founded, and it was first shouted as we looked out at a clear blue sky above. has continued to be our electric victory as we continue to snowball in success and activity, our members soaring high through the Azure Sky, flying together!
Ranks
Click here to learn more about our community ranks: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/ranks/)
Our community has an organized ranking structure beginning with Members who comprise the majority of the roster. Scouts are our support team of Members who've stepped up to more officially support the FC, some work on obtaining a future leadership rank. Lieutenants and Officers comprise the proud Azure Council, a diverse group of players of different specialties and services to the FC, making up lower and higher tier leadership, seeing over the Scouts and the FC weekly events, aside from being admins. The FC Infinitum Master oversees all and leads the Azure Council and the company forward while always keeping the heart and vision of the community alive and in sight. Currently we are re-assessing ranks in the free company, giving more support permissions and duties to our Scouts, while the current council operates as a small team of Lieutenants lead by the FC Master.
Everyone Welcome and Who Fits Best
We have an open door policy. Whether you're casual, a returning player, a veteran, or a newbie, we have a vast array of players in our member roster. Our weekly schedule is organized and provides an array of activity for players of most levels, however we like to ask players who're pretty new or under the level cap, to be extra vocal about their needs while they're still unable to attend some daily events or higher level content that most of our weekly lineup focuses on. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible and have the most success. We find that most players enjoy Azure Infinitum, many have stated that they subscribed to FFXIV much longer than they ever would have imagined after they have been around in our community, as they've gotten involved and experienced all that we offer.
Our FC keeps a daily schedule (see here: https://www.azureinfinitum.com/events/) of events that are hosted by permitted Scouts and Council ranks, these range from 8-man and 24-man raids and map parties, to WT journal groups and trial clear parties or farms, and more- and attending anything isn't mandatory at all here. We're happy to have you, and its up to our members how much they'd like to get involved. Attendance is optional! There's never any stress to attend FC functions.
Savage Raiding Statement
We find that some hardcore raiders looking for free companies just to join their statics who don't already have one, might not fit well if savage raiding is their only or greatest focus, because traditionally Azure does not have a Savage Static, but focuses more on allowing members to organize their own groups and also provides resources to do so. Despite not supporting an official static for the FC, we hope that hardcore raiders enjoy the wealth of our community's wealth of harmony and overall fun, and that everyone may take initiative to seek out or build a raiding static within our community if they are interested, as opposed to missing out on experiencing Azure. Depending on the content season, we may have an Unofficial static lead by a leader, and routinely offer limited time Savage-learning events that may run for a number of months.
Rules and No Drama Policy
Please take a moment to look over our Rules Page at (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/rules/), we find that rude individuals and people who create drama are the outsiders here that don't fit well. We know its a big page, so at least visit the General Rules section before joining.
Recruitment Care & Activity
People of Azure Infinitum are often if not always good natured players who found their way to our community looking for a place with structure, friendliness, organization, and great activity, or they've been scouted during recruitment drives and have been well screened. Its a place where one can be social and attend everything, or relax in the background and enjoy the services and facilities of being in an active, organized, and friendly FC. We actively recruit periodically to assist with upkeep of community activity levels, and to meet new comrades. A community that closes recruitment can be doomed to stagnation. Its normal for a community to have an inner core of die hards who log in daily regardless of content releases, and also have an outer core of individuals that range from those with less availability to those who check in during Patches. This is why we take extra care in keeping the fresh blood flowing into Azure, cautious recruitment, and support our active model by always staying welcoming and sometimes running recruitment campaigns and other services. Handling Online Drama
Because we keep a no-drama policy and have a strong communication network, it is leadership's ultimate priority to handle any issues that may come up as soon as possible, and most people appreciate our problem solving which has inspired many other communities. Between our Support & Leadership ranks, we use a number of report and resource channels to handle situations, and perform problem solving protocols & tactics to fairly address issues as possible. Drama is inevitable at some point for any online community, so its important to have a large and strong list of moderators (currently around 60!) and a council of leaders (15+) to quickly handle any problems. Luckily, we don't have a lot of drama, but we're always very well equipped and very prepared. Our community has been commended by game staff in the past for our methods, and we have worked with the FFXIV Special Task Force to ensure as much safety to our community as achievable. It should be stressed that it is up to our membership to report to GM's in-game, and to Azure Leadership should any issues or concerns come up. Its also highly recommended that our members appropriately document evidence that can be used to help us assess situations and make proper decisions. Documenation such as screenshots of harassment is a great example! Our members online safety is greatly important to us and is a number one concern of our leadership team. Our Rules Page at: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/rules/) describes a bit more in Chapter 3, including other entries on avoiding/ignoring trolls, playing while intoxicated, depression, and more.
Our Philosophy
We believe in our community and its people, how far we can go, how much we can do for each other, being an experienced community who's core values are positive fellowship, formation of bonds, and indomitable unity.
Azure Infinitum tightly grasps success and masters a casual and lucrative weekly play schedule while inspiring motivation and providing avenues for further success, friendships, and camaraderie among all who freely fly together among our Azure skies.
Founding on the principles of intricately forging a generally drama-free experience with keen leadership and a zealous and mighty membership, Azure has striven to guide and support many hundreds of players through every era of Final Fantasy XIV.
With an illustrious history, company lore, impressive statistics, and a model that is adaptable and blessed with innovative ability, Azure Infinitum claims a dominant presence of excellence and player growth that is possible in our community and extended services.
Estate Organization
We have the entire set-up at our estate, from gardens for members and Krakka Root production (free for members' chocobos), to our stables, nicely uniform clean lawn with hangout spots that are popular, with crafting stations, all available NPCs for simple mats and repairs, cut-scene viewer, toybox, triple-triad board, a fully operational and geared fleet of airships and subs, and our Azure Infinitum Assembly Chamber on the top floor for our meetings where announcements are made at our Grand Assemblies. Check it out if you like at Mist Ward 7 Plot 1.
We also have an organized form of gathering for weekly events in the yard, places to relax, food that is always available on tables at our Cellar, and hold a lot of special events and social games at our Hall. We're also conveniently located next to a Market Board and a Retainer Bell outside of our estate.
Communication and Extended Azure Services
We have multiple services of which none are mandatory, but we provide being (azureinfinitum.com) where our Forums, Event Calendar, News, Company Meeting Summaries, Seasonal Merch Giveaways, Contests, Rules Page, and more take place and can be found. We also have a popular and active Discord Server.
We also have a Facebook Group, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Steam Group, (Look us up! Or visit: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/socialmedia/) and Linkshells like our Infinitum Alliance LS for contact and aid from our allies if needed, our Azure Hunters LS for Hunters, and our Azure Industry LS which connects our members to our inner crafting/gathering community for newbies to pros.
Also worthy of mention is our big Company Meetings in-game, known as Azure Infinitum Grand Assemblies. Even though we have several avenues that keep people connected, our live assemblies gather the FC in unity where announcements are made first, and all proposals, ideas, and more, can be decided together live with the Azure Council present.
This network ensures a lot of information and communication gets around and has been exceedingly useful to us.
More On Events
One part of our reputation that often precedes us is our event crafting and hosting.
First, let me make sure its clear that attendance is never mandatory, but those who can make use, when possible, of what we provide each day, benefit from our events each week.
Since our beginning, traditions like our Thursday Treasure Thursdays events have run each week. Our weekly line-up presently begins on Tuesdays post-weekly reset, and consists of Raid Tuesdays, Wondrous Wednesdays (WT Journal Parties, often doubles as Trial Clears and Pony Drops), Treasure Thursdays (Endwalker's timeworn maps with groups of 8 doing up to 3 rounds of maps allowing for up to 24 maps ran), 24-Man Tuesdays (full pre-formed Azure 24-member alliances are made and raids are cleared, will be returning upon the release of EW's 24-man), Super Azure Slayer Sunday (our weekly meetup to do all sorts of PVP content be it Rival Wings or Frontline), and Monstrous Mondays (helps clear the current and previous patch extreme trials).
Special, Seasonal, and Quarterly Events
More info here: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/azureday/)See the latest event news & more at: (https://www.azureinfinitum.com/news/)
We also have what we call Special and Quarterly Events. These types of events are Weekend-Long-Events that usually consist of a theme or celebratory social events we craft. During these events we hold big Riddle Races, Costume/Glamour shows and contests, 3-Story Mansion Maze Races, Speedrun Dungeon Races, Hide and Seek games, Custom Quest Events, Discord events like Cards Against Humanity nights, Comedy events, PVP Tournament Circuits, and more.
Our Special and Quarterly events are Azure Day Weekend (Takes place 3 times a year across a weekend, celebrates the FC), Azure Summer Festival (3-days at the end of August in partnership with Child's Play, raises money for children in long-term care, anniversary of historic FC event called the Lunar Rebellion), Anniversary Azure Day (a big weekend event in November that celebrates our Founding), Azure Day Saint's Wake (celebrates Halloween/All Saint's Wake), Azure Starlight Day (celebrating Starlight Day/Christmas/December Holiday Season), Azure Grand Melee and Duel Tournaments (PVP Circuit series crowning our PVP Champions) and more.
Azure Day Weekends
If you've been around our server you may have heard of our Azure Day Weekends. Our Azure Days take place quarterly as mentioned just above, with four evolved editions called Azure Summer Festival, Azure Day Saint's Wake, Azure Starlight Day, and Anniversary Azure Day. With Azure Day Weekends and related events traditionally occuring quarterly our members are always excited to see the next big weekend of crazy and fun social games, and our showering of the free company in gil and prizes galore. We go all out when we celebrate the free company, and Azure Days are another way we find for leadership to give back to the community. 2023 and beyond is now host to additional seasonal Azure Day events!
We're always giving our members a chance to have fun, win big, and make some great memories in the in-game family we've become. Something fun is always on the horizon in Azure.
Community
I almost can't stress enough how friendly our community is. We have a vast variety of members from hardcore gatherers and crafters, social butterflies, chill veterans, experienced raiders, level grinders, support teams, PVP aficionados, mechanic specialists, and mentors. We're also very friendly to all casual players as well and we keep an open door so long as recruits are always aware that we have a no-drama tolerance here.
Evolution into a Gaming Clan & Network
Plans are in the works and foundations are being laid that is slowly turning our community into a larger gaming network, with our first established Azure Wing with regular occurring activity being founded in Monster Hunter World, this has led to a successful Destiny 2 clan and more. Becoming a member of our Discord and/or Free Company now means access to things like our huge discord, Azure Wing membership in other games, and being able to join in on any of our other activities in the general community. Azure Network as its being called at the moment, is growing with an all-new website and community features for playing together across Final Fantasy XIV and to Azure Skies beyond!
Activity
We rank high as one of the top FC's in Worldwide Activity on lodestone, and have for a long time. Most of our players are divided between the US East and West Coasts, members in East and West Canada, and a few outside the US or in EU or Aus zones. Because we do have an activity policy (mentioned below) we keep a standard flow of people, and have crowds in the early morning, late morning, early afternoon, afternoon, evening, and late night crowds.
Elitism isn't our style. Our community boasts a broad range of characters, great personalities, the proud, and also some silly goofs. But elitism isn't welcome, no matter how successful we are or how large we grow. We're always welcoming towards fresh faces interested in joining our guild, and the in-game activity ranges between 30-60+ online at once during prime time hours, sometimes around 70+ on patch days, and usually always with half the roster logging in throughout a 24 hour period, and around 15-30+ during the night.
Activity Policy
We ask that our members do not go missing without logging in for more than 60 days straight. If we hear word from someone or have some kind of decent excuse, we place our members on our On Vacation rank, which lasts presently until 90 days have passed. Exceptions are made for military deployments, hospital stays, financial issues, disability/health related issues, moving, or other reasons that might fall on a case-by-case basis.
All members not heard from in 60 days (roughly 2 months) or currently 90 days (roughly 3 months) are discharged. We allow 3 joins to Azure Infinitum in total, but exceptions can be made due to reasons listed above. If removed for inactivity, or you've left our FC for another reason and haven't already joined 3 times, you're always welcome back, but please remember, we are not a revolving door.
Keeping our roster full of members who have been online and presently play the game actively ensures an active environment for our players who play often. It also keeps our credits and clerical processes balanced across our network, and allows space for new faces to join our big happy in-game family of comrades.

2023.06.08 17:14 Kaleidoscopic_Skull7 Viva La Bam
Does anyone know where I can re-watch Viva La Bam? In Australia, if that changes anything.
Google search said Apple TV or Prime, but it's no longer available. I have all seasons on DVD but don't currently own a DVD player (+ I'm in the mood right now/don't feel like waiting to acquire one).
Thanks in advance.

2023.06.08 17:08 Fair-Adhesiveness377 The wedding dress from todays episode (7/8)
I personally disagree with the group consensus on the story about the friend wearing her friends dream dress. Throughout the story, OP’s friend mentions things about how her wedding planning went down, almost alluding that there’s more to the story than what OP wrote. Which could also explain WHY the maid of honor doesn’t feel comfy standing up to her.
Secondly, and maybe I’m in the wrong for this, but I would never even have thought to try on that dress. I don’t really know what scenario where OP watched her decade old friend come to terms with not being able to wear her dream gown, then goes out and buys the dress for herself and DOESNT look like the asshole.
This isn’t the junior prom with her overly handsy boyfriend and a bottle of cheap vodka. This was her WEDDING. A day the two of them have probably dreamed of together. If it were me, and there was even a fraction of a chance I’d pick that dress I wouldn’t have even tried it on. Isn’t the old saying “if you play with fire, you’re gonna get burned”??
I think another important point to raise, is whether or not OP fell in love with the dress originally or not. Was it love at first sight, but her friend was getting married first? That might (very very hard might) be excusable, but the post gives the impression that OP only tried on the dress because of her friend. Was OP trying on exclusively form fitting, simple, satin dresses, but then magically tries on this ball gown with beading and glitter from head to toe?
IMHO, the OP is the asshole, and if she wants to mend things with her friend, she should return the dress and try to find one that’s really similar. I’m certain that there are probably 200 dresses that are all slight variations of that dress, let’s not act like she can’t find one that’s “same same but different”. Or get a cheaper dress and let her friend and her husband do a photo shoot in the dress. She doesn’t have to pay for the shoot, but she could maybe let her friend do the shoot, and then sell the dress? Or maybe if OP really wants to know how her MOH feels, she can buy a dress she doesn’t love as much and feel that disappointment/heartbreak over not wearing the dress you really want on a day that people generally spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to make “perfect”. Morgan (I’m pretty sure) said it, there are THOUSANDS of wedding dress designs. I’m sure OP could find something similar she loves, that isn’t the exact dress so she doesn’t step on her friends toes. Anyway, great episode this week! Good stories and good takes that I (mostly) agree with!

2023.06.08 17:05 Ever-Flowing Does Printful Ship on Time for Amazon Orders?
Hello, I'm considering selling products on Amazon Seller Central using Printful, specifically posters. One concern I have is Amazon Seller Central's strict policy regarding delayed orders. I'd love to hear from those who sell Printful products on Amazon: Have you experienced any delays in order fulfillment when using Printful? Or does everything generally get shipped on time? Thanks in advance!

2023.06.08 16:39 Insightful-Beringei Looking for pointers on developing a more complete game
Hello folks, yellow belt here, about 9 months in. I have a couple competitions under my belt and have been reasonably successful making throws in randori. It is something like a competition off season right now where I live, and I am trying to focus on making a more complete game before fall and could use some advice. First, I would like to clear up some of the prerequisite points: yes I am asking my coaches the same questions, yes I know that I may get little use out of asking strangers on the internet for advice - but at this point, I am just trying to broadly gather knowledge before more focused training. Also, none of my coaches have my build, so even just a few suggestions from a broader audience would be great.
First some details on my physical build: I am about 185lbs/84kg, 5'7"/170cm. I have short legs/limbs in general for my height with 30"/76cm legs. I am also a lefty and lean very heavily into that fact when I play Judo.
In my current game, I have noticed that I more or less have two separate strategies depending on if 1) my opponent is taller than me, and 2) if my opponent is heavier than me. My first set of strategies is used usually when I fight people lighter than me, and always when they are shorter. This game revolved around combinations of sasae, ouchi, and osoto gari - which I can usually throw any of these techniques in combination with each other in any order, and especially love combining the three together in one string in the order I listed above. I think I am pretty quick and fairly strong for my weight, which allows me to get these throws against people that are generally much more skilled than I am.
My problem lies in my strategy against taller and/or especially heavy folks. When fighting bigger players, I am very ogoshi, ouchi, and koshi garuma centric, with sasae thrown in there for set ups. In cooperative drills, ogoshi is by far my favorite technique and feels the cleanest/sharpest/fastest of any of my techniques, and I find that I can throw a high quality Ogoshi against pretty much any body type in non-randori settings. My problem here is that going for ogoshi often is challenging to set up, and it gives up dominant grips which I can usually achieve against even very skilled right handed players. Koshi Garuma is also challenging being such s timing based and somewhat circumstantial throw that is also newer to me - very much still working on it, but I have gotten it a couple of times. I often find that, in Randori, I struggle to get my taller fighter game and then resort back to the strategies I use against shorter players, but that rarely works considering how much shorter I am versus many people in my club.
All of this long winded explanation is to ask the question: does anyone have any advice or suggestions about how I can develop a strategy to connect my two styles of randori together? Should I add a new throw, particularly a forward throw, to my taller game that does not give up dominant position and try to make it work in my shorter fighting game? Should I keep working Ogoshi until I can get it against bigger people, or should I relegate it to special circumstances (i.e. when a taller person goes for an over shoulder grip exposing their back)? Should I pick a few new throws, or a few from these that I frequently attempt and build a more uniform game around that? Is there a system for shorter players in slightly heavier weight classes that are worth looking in to, especially for lefties?
Basically, I often find myself pretty much stuck against tall/biggestronger players, and I just don't have a convincing solution. Thanks!

2023.06.08 16:35 BeckyBee_ Questions and Answers with Assistant Game Director, Adam Whiting!
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the amazing questions you’ve submitted for our Q&A with Assistant Game Director, Adam Whiting. We’re delighted to have received so many. So many, in fact, that we couldn’t possibly have taken so much of Adam’s time to answer them all – maybe we’ll have to do a part two one day soon.
We sat down with Adam this week and got some answers for you. We’re sure you’ll be happy with what Adam did manage to answer; he’s really gone above and beyond for this one.
Here’s a few words from Adam:
“I really appreciate all the kind words for the studio, we’ll be sure to share them with the rest of the team. It was also nice to see some familiar faces from over the years – thank you for remembering me and saying hello! It’s always a pleasure interacting with our wonderful community, and we look forward to doing more things like this in the future.”
And with that, we’ll dive into the Q&A. Enjoy!
/EVERYWHERE Community Team
Life as an Assistant Game Director at Build A Rocket Boy
Q: Hi Adam! Thank you for participating in this, it's so great to see the relationship Build A Rocket Boy has established with the community!
- What are your daily tasks as Assistant Game Director, and what would you say is the aspect of game development that you give the most importance to? (Game mechanics, narrative, visuals...)
- What are your favourite games and how do you think they influenced you when working on EVERYWHERE oand MindsEye?
Keep being awesome! – From u/NestorSite
A: Well, thanks to you as well NestorSite, it’s exciting for me to get to talk to you all about what we have been working on (finally!) and we really care about our community and are delighted to get to share more info.
As Assistant Game Director my day can vary greatly, and each day presents new challenges and opportunities to help progress the project. Primarily in Game Direction we are ensuring that all the teams are aligned on the bigger picture and goals of the project. Historically, this has been working mostly with Design on the core game mechanics and systems, but now we are at a point where a lot of the design work is complete, its more about checking progress, playing the game every day, and making sure everything is trending correctly.
It's hard to pick an area that is most important as what makes games development special is how it’s a convergence point for most of the artistic and engineering disciplines we know of, and all of them contribute to the whole, so they are all equally important (plus I would hate for any of our teams to feel like I had any favourites 😉). That being said, games are primarily meant to be fun, so I am particularly passionate about the core mechanics. We want our players to have a great time in EVERYWHERE and MindsEye – though each of these have their own specific requirements that present interesting challenges and drive all our departments to push the boundaries of their respective areas of expertise.
I’ve given a lengthy answer about my favourite games elsewhere so I’ll try and keep this short and point you in the direction of that, what I would say though is that generally we don’t look at other games in particular when working on the design of EVERYWHERE though it’s impossible not to be influenced by the things you have enjoyed (such is the nature of art).
Q: Hey Adam! Could you tell us what is the most challenging task you had to face in the last few years? – u/Gab1024
A: Hey Gab, thanks for your question!
One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced throughout the project has been building the team – building an exciting, ambitious, and new type of project is a huge challenge but building the company in tandem has been very tough as we’ve always aimed to bring the quality talent that the project requires. That can be tough when you are trying to attract talented devs, who, in many cases, can choose where they work. They are often choosing between established studios and established projects which can be very tempting. However, we’ve been very fortunate and have built a team of very talented and experienced devs (with a healthy dose of people fresh to the industry) who are really delivering on the ambitions of the project, and we are all excited for you all to see and play the game as soon as possible.
Personally, one big challenge for me was the whole Gamescom experience – I never thought I’d find myself on stage with Geoff and talking in front of so many people, especially having grown up watching countless game announcements and reveals, it was both terrifying and extremely exciting though pretty far from my natural environment behind a PC in a studio 😊
Q: Hiya, I’m curious if you started out in another role in the gaming industry that led to being a Director? - Thanks, u/voodoolady94 xx
A: Hey voodoolady – unsure if your name is a Ween or Hendrix reference but either way, I like the handle!
I started in the industry, as many people did, in Quality Assurance. QA is a fantastic starting point for two reasons; Firstly, it isn’t a role that requires a lot of specialised experience to get started. In fact, one of the key things we are always looking for with new QA roles is a passion for gaming, strong attention to detail and good communication skills – don’t get me wrong it can be very intense and challenging working in QA but if you have a genuine passion for making games it can be highly enjoyable and rewarding working in part of a team that is so intrinsic to releasing any quality project. Secondly, everything in every game needs some form of QA support – meaning that you are exposed to every department/facet of games development which can be really useful for finding what you like and what you are good at. Often you can naturally progress into a more specialised role that can lead to moving to another team entirely (or becoming a stalwart experienced QA that will always be in demand within the industry) – there are countless examples I can think of from across my career where people have gone from QA into writing, AI coding, concept art, audio design – pretty much every department has someone within it that started in QA.
My personal journey was rising through the ranks of QA to a QA Supervisor and then moving towards Production before eventually moving to Game Direction – and I’m honestly still learning and growing every day as I get to interact with truly exceptional and talented people who are each extremely knowledgeable and experienced in their own areas. Each interaction is an opportunity to learn and grow, and if you approach the industry with that spirit, you will definitely do well.
Q: How hard is it to turn your game ideas into reality with the help of developers, how do you explain to them what's on your head in terms of game direction? – Thanks, u/vassirbl. From Morocco.
A: Hey vassirbl, thanks for taking part!
This is a really interesting question and one that is hard to answer directly as it depends on the idea – some things can require just a few lines of code, some can require multiple teams working in tandem to bring it to life – and that is part of the challenge with games development, something that seems quite straight forward might be really challenging to manifest. On the flipside, sometimes something that may seem to be really complicated and taxing can actually be done very quickly and efficiently.
The thing I’d say about this is that having ideas is one thing, everyone has ideas and I believe everyone is creative, but in a position like games direction it isn’t always about throwing around big ideas – you need to have a vision for what you are wanting to make and achieve and you need to ensure that your ideas are in service of that vision and are supplementing/augmenting/enhancing the direction of the game. You aren’t always making a game for yourself and your own niche interests, you are in service of the vision and trying to ensure that there is congruence between what is going into the game and what the game is trying to achieve.
In terms of explaining things that can often be more straight forward than it might seem, you are interacting with people who aren’t just gamers, they have made gaming their passion/vocation so you are speaking about the game in a similar way to when speaking to a friend about a game you are both playing together – and generally if the idea is good then it's going to generate some excitement. Then you are in an ideation process where the person you are talking to, often someone who is passionate about an areas of games development (their discipline), will then have some suggestions for flourishes and tweaks that can help improve the idea. This is really important because you want the game to be as good as it can be, and there is no silver bullet that magically makes a game feel special, fun or unique, normally its countless little tweaks and adjustments and suggestions from everywhere within the studio that create the end result which hopefully is something that feels like it has been made with love, care and attention. You can’t fake that or even articulate what it is that makes a game feel like that, but you feel it when you play a great game and that is what we are always striving to achieve.
Q: I was waiting for this because I'm on the mailing list. I appreciate this. Hello Adam. I guess my question is what is one of your favourite things about being an Assistant Gaming Director at Build A Rocket Boy? – u/EducationalCook9570
A: Thanks for signing up, EducationalCook, really pleased to get to answer your question so thanks for taking part.
It’s really hard to pick one particular thing but over the years I’ve been asked some variation of this question and my answer generally is the same – it's getting to work with such an amazing team of wonderful and talented people who are giving their all in service of the same common goal – making EVERYWHERE and MindsEye the best possible game(s) they can be.
When I was growing up gaming was still a bit of a niche hobby so anyone I met that was a gamer was instantly a friend, someone I could share my passion with, and now I get to spend most of my time with people like that – it's truly a blessing and I feel fortunate every day I get to interact with all of my wonderful colleagues.
Q: Howdy Adam! Most people will ask about the game, but for a Q&A it's really about the person. So here are my questions.
- Were there moments where the development struggled? If so, how did this affect you?
- Now the last ones might be too personal buuuut, is pineapple on pizza justifiable?
Thx in advance for answering these questions. I really hope you do. – u/MikaStr0L
A: Hey MikaStr0L, thanks for your question(s)!
I wouldn’t say there were any parts where development struggled but along the way there are always challenges to overcome, the main one for us was building a company at the same time of building a brand new and exciting project.
Generally speaking though, if things aren’t going quite as planned I try not to let it bother me – though that can of course be hard when you feel very personally invested in something – but I’ve found that it doesn’t help to let the negative feeling linger and instead try and push on, games development – like life in general – doesn’t always go according to plan but you just have to focus on solutions and moving forward and not let things hold you back. If you can do something about an issue, then deal with it and fix it, if you can’t do anything about it then move on and try not to let the negatives/setbacks hold back progress in other areas.
Now the truly important question… I must admit that I am not a fan of pineapple on pizza, although I do like pineapple generally, I’m more of a pepperoni kind of guy 😊
Q: Hey Adam, first, let me say I admire the work you all do a lot. Not only you guys at BARB, but also in the whole industry. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on MindsEye and EVERYWHERE.
- Working within the QA part for many years, was it difficult the transition to a different role? Would you say it was a positive change?
- Do you think EVERYWHERE and other games/experiences with a similar concept are the future of gaming?
Thank you and I hope you keep succeeding at your career, can't wait to play both projects’ you guys have been working on. 💙 – u/Fabry06
A: Hi Fabry, thanks for taking part and for your kind words and sentiments. I’ll start by saying that I also admire the work that takes place industry wide – the games industry is full of amazing and talented people who are all helping to further this artform we all whole dear forward, and I believe we are only just now realising the potential that video games can achieve.
I would say that transitioning from QA to another role felt very natural, even in my current position I’m still playing the game all the time and entering bugs, they might not be as well written as they once were but once you’ve cultivated a QA mindset it is not easy to turn off (this can make me a very boring person to watch play in my spare time as I’m always poking and prodding games to see what might happen…). I would say it was also a positive change for me personally but everyone's path in the industry is different and you kind of move with the tides and get swept up in a project and who knows where you end up within it – I always took the approach of wanting to be helpful/productive/useful in furthering the ambitions of the studio and the project and have always been happy to do that regardless of what that entails (in the very early days I was building PCs and writing design docs as well as doing QA work, whatever was required).
I do think that EVERYWHERE is a new type of project, but one that isn’t entirely unfamiliar, there are probably aspects that you recognise and some that are a bit different, I think the way everything ‘fits together’ is quite elegant and hasn’t been done before. The industry in general though is continuously evolving and I think that’s what makes it an exciting thing to be a part of. I do feel that the way people are consuming entertainment has fundamentally changed within the past decade and I believe that EVERYWHERE is a reflection of that – perhaps games in general are a bit to beholden to established paradigms and ways of doing things in ways that I think we aren’t.
About EVERYWHERE and MindsEye
Q: What is the inspiration to create EVERYWHERE and MindsEye, and why did you decide to make them two different games? – u/Zgangstas
A: Hi Zgangstas, thanks for your question.
This is a really interesting question and I think this is part of the magic of games development, when you are ideating/experimenting in the early stages of a project you can happen upon some magic that can alter the way you approach things, even if the vision has remained the same throughout perhaps the way to achieve it evolves.
I think that one of the main things we always wanted to do was create a space where players were in control, where they could be who they want to be and have the experiences that they wanted to have – but then as experienced game devs there is a natural inclination towards curating an immersive experience that captivates and enthrals players – this was a tricky thing to balance and trade off and I think ultimately it lead us to our current path.
EVERYWHERE is a space where players are in control, where they can build, share, compete, and explore in numerous different ways – and MindsEye is where we can construct an immersive and cinematic experience – with shared DNA between the two so we aren’t reinventing the wheel constantly, and we are at the place where we are now where work on one project is benefitting the other and vice versa.
So, I guess the true answer is that they both demanded to be different game organically through the course of development and we pay attention to what the game is telling us and let that guide us.
Q: Hi Adam, there’s the audience that fantasize on stylized and cartoonish games and the ones that are focused on realistic, story-driven experiences. How challenging is it to deliver the best game as possible to both audiences, and how confident do you feel about the shape those two games are in? – u/Treyboss2001
A: Thanks for your question Treyboss.
I think as you say there are probably distinct audiences for both, some that prefer or only enjoy one style or the other, but there are others (like me!) who enjoy both stylised and realistic games – often depending on my mood.
It may seem challenging to be constantly shifting gears between them both but ultimately, it’s more natural than it may seem. They have very distinctive and different requirements and demands that make decisions intuitive – though careful thought and consideration is required for each.
However, the way we think about it internally is that we get to have our cake and eat it, we aren’t locked in to one style or gameplay type, which can be fun and refreshing – perhaps you hit a creative roadblock with one and you can move on to the other and come back with a fresh perspective to the original issue you were having. Projects of this scale can often take many years to make so not being too locked in to just one thing is a blessing.
In terms of the progress we are making, I have to say that I am constantly delighted – either one project is delivering something new and wonderful or the other one is (often both at the same time!). Now we are getting to show people them both for the first time I’m truly humbled by the very positive reactions we are receiving.
Q: Hello Adam from the Build A Rocket Boy team. What was the original plan when EVERYWHERE was being developed in lumberyard engine and back when yah were using the lumberyard engine what were the challenges and roadblocks?
Keep being awesome Adam. - u/Lonelyfades
A: Thank you Lonelyfades, I will do my best!
I think back when we first started with this project the industry was quite different, the game engine landscape in particular was very different. We always had lofty ambitions for this project and at the time Lumberyard seemed to be the only engine that could deliver what we needed to even scratch the surface of what we wanted to accomplish. Since then, things have progressed somewhat and now we are in UE5. I believe UE5 is clearly the cutting-edge technology that we need in order to deliver the best possible results.
That is the strange thing with life and games development, sometimes an old decision was the correct one at the time even if it is not correct for right now, and even things as disruptive as engine swapping is ultimately worth it if it unlocks the creative potential you are aspiring towards.
I think this is ultimately a tribute to our core strength as a developer which is our unwillingness to compromise, we are eager to undertake difficult or even painful changes if it helps move the needle closer to where we want it to be.
Q: Hi Adam, so something I was confused about, is EVERYWHERE and MindsEye the same game? Or is it a game within a game? – u/Jozza141
A: Jozza thanks for asking your question and I am happy to try and relieve your confusion.
EVERYWHERE and MindsEye are distinctly different, but also inextricably linked. One way to think about it is that EVERYWHERE is ultimately a platform for games, entertainment, and different types of fun – and MindsEye is a story-driven, action-adventure game that could reasonably exist on its own but is enriched and elevated by its connection to a larger social space. A connection that I believe is deep and meaningful. The possibilities are endless and there’s so much to share, but we will reveal more when we are ready.
Q: Both u/iPeluche and u/Bobby_Boy301 had some questions about PC vs Console release. Why has BARB opted for the separate release between PC and Console. And does this mean Console won’t get the same treatment as PC after release?
A: I don’t think we are completely locked into this type of approach; we want to do that which makes the most sense for both projects whilst also working within the constraints of their paradigms.
PC is certainly a very open and creatively liberating space in which to operate, sometimes key innovations in gaming take place on PC because of its open nature and I think this is an example of that.
Rest assured we are passionate about both PC and Console development, and we would always aim to ensure parity between both releases of either project – platform holders permitting.
With all that being said, I would look forward to future announcements as we are very pragmatic as a company and always move forward in a direction that makes sense both for us and for our players.
Advice for aspiring Game Developers
Q: Ok, ok, here goes:
What advice do you have for those aspiring to pursue a career in game development?
What excites you the most in terms of future game development and where do you think the industry is headed? – u/RazorDarkness
A: Thanks for your question RazorDarkness.
My biggest advice for anyone trying to pursue a career in games development is to always remain humble, this is the cross section for all the artistic and engineering disciplines we have in media, as such it is impossible to be an expert at all things. You are always going to be working in a team and you are always going to be relying on your peers to achieve whatever it is you set out to achieve. So always keep your eyes and ears open and try to absorb as much knowledge and information as you can so you never stop learning. The moment you think you know it all is the moment you become a dinosaur and you will be immediately surpassed.
My second big piece of advice is to never lose sight of why you are making games in the first place – I often keep some mementos on my desk from favourite games and things that inspired me as a child to keep me grounded, as even on the hardest of days I can take a step back and realise that I’m getting to do something that I’ve loved my entire life and despite its difficulties my overriding feeling is always gratitude that I’m even able to earn a living doing something I love.
Q: Hello Adam!
First, I really hope you and your team are getting enough sleep after all the hard work you guys put into these projects. I just want to say on behalf of the EVERYWHERE & MindsEye Community, we really appreciate all of you that are involved with these two major projects, and also sending much support to every single one of you on this journey!
But my question is ... Where do you see yourself, the team, and everyone over at BARB in the next 10 years after both games are officially out? – u/TheRealRocketBoy
A: Well thank you TheRealRocketBoy – your support and encouragement means a lot, excited for you to get to enjoy the fruits of our labours!
This is a great question – I see us still working on this project, both aspects of what we are doing have far reaching plans and if all they all work out, we’ll still be working on both – and we aim that this will be in tandem with our community and players.
What things will look like at that point though I have no idea, EVERYWHERE in particular isn’t the kind of game we want to prescribe to people, it's something we want to further improve and refine in collaboration with our players – indeed the launch of EVERYWHERE will truly just be the beginning and I know that the creativity of gamers will always thrill and surprise so I think we are going to go on a wild ride together and I can’t wait to see where we end up.
MindsEye on the other hand… well who knows where in space or time we may be with that story by that point… I could write down on a piece of paper now a phrase for where MindsEye will be in year 10 and whilst it would almost certainly hold true, how we get there, and the specifics would surprise even me, I’m sure!
Q: Hey Adam, appreciate you taking the time to do this Q&A!
You have a great name! I may have a bias though as I'm also an Adam. In my spare time I've been creating a game design document for a game I'd love to create. This document has been growing and expanding over the past couple years. Ideally, I have aspirations of becoming a creative director for a development studio but have no experience working in the gaming industry (I'm a project manager in the residential construction industry).
Given your experience in the industry and your current position as BARB's Assistant Game Director, what advice would you give someone such as myself about how I may go about potentially pitching my design documentation to a studio and ultimately becoming a creative director? Do you personally feel as though people aspiring to become involved in the gaming industry need to start in an entry level position? Or perhaps there are alternative pathways to achieving such goals?
Thank you! Well wishes to you and everyone at BARB! – u/EndgameEmporium
A: Hey EndgameEmporium!
I admire your enthusiasm and you clearly have a passion for games which is something you want to hold on to as it will always keep you right and steer you correctly.
That being said I think there are two ways to head in if you want to be a creative director – firstly you can go down the studio route – however keep in mind that games are big expensive things to make, and it would be pretty remarkable for someone to have an idea so strong that a studio would trust in and fund it. Generally speaking I think going down this path would require you joining a studio and working your way up, and in particular showing a willingness to work towards someone else’s vision and showing that you can see the big picture when it comes to games development, then you will get creative opportunities with an established project or studio to show what you can do and from there more and more creative freedom until you are able to pitch your idea. With that path you may very well find that working with other creative brief’s and visions can be both challenging and rewarding, as essentially they are ‘creative restraints’ you are operating within and learning to work within these restraints will teach you how to be economical and efficient with your designs and ideas (sometimes a good idea can cost millions of dollars and sometimes a great idea can be brought to life with existing resources, the latter is where the magic really is, and will make you very popular to work with!).
The second path to take would be to try and build out a vertical slice or gameplay prototype or concept yourself, with that I would try and refine your idea to its core components, understand what things fundamentally you need for another person to be able to experience or understand your idea, and go from there. If anything, EVERYWHERE might be the perfect thing for you as empowering the great creative minds of the next generation is something we are very passionate about and you may be able to bring your idea to life with ARC-ADIA.
Emerging Technologies in Gaming
Q: u/Main-Department9806 and u/Dirty_Worka had some interesting questions about AI. Adam, as AI learning and functionality accelerates, what’s your read on the level of disruption we should expect with regards to game development? And do you think we can leverage AI such as ChatGPT into games, for example, so that NPC’s dialogue could be vast and ever changing?
A: I think that AI is going to fundamentally change the way in which we interact with the world and each other, it's going to be a transformative technology over the coming years and every industry and sector will feel it.
In terms of game development, we can see how this might play out already, things like ChatGPT etc. will streamline and accelerate the game development process exponentially – this should hopefully lower the costs and requirements for making larger projects. This could mean many more larger and ambitious games that are taking more risks emerge as they won’t be as expensive and time consuming to create – instead of a lot of talent being funnelled in to a few large studios and creators it will allow us to go back to an older style of games development where a small team with a big idea has some chance of bringing it to fruition without having to compromise on the scope/scale.
From the consumer perspective yes, I think we will soon have realistic interactions with NPCs where we can really build deeper and more personal connections with the characters we interact with in these virtual worlds, possibly even allowing us to alter how events and stories may play out, maybe in the future the way I play a story driven game may yield entirely different results and a different ending to how your story may finish – and maybe these aren’t just branching paths but completely different forks in the road we are creating dynamically – maybe then watching each other player story games has value beyond the personality/skill of the person playing.
I think this something that games developers have always wanted to have access to, a future where we can create entire worlds that feel unique to the individual because the way you are experiencing it is unique to you, in the same way that each of our journeys through life are unique and different even though we all inhabit the same world within the same physical universe.
Off-Topic
Q: Hey Adam, first I would like to thank you and the team for the great effort on EVERYWHERE and we can't wait to play what you're working on.
Second, my question is what's your favourite game (or games) of all time (excluding games you worked on). - u/Punisher_27
A: Firstly, thank you for your kind words, Punisher!
Secondly, what a fun question! I’m going to end up kicking myself later when I realise I missed something but here are a few of my faves from a lifetime spent playing video games:
Mario 64 – it is tough picking one Mario game as he’s the reason I got in to games (playing on my parents imported NES at the age of 3 changed my life!) but something about Mario 64 is just so magical and wonderful, the first time effortlessly moving through a 3D world, the joyous nature of the gameplay and the level design, I just adored this so much and despite later entries (e.g. Galaxy) being more refined and objectively better this is just such a special game I don’t think it's possible to calculate the impact it had on the industry and on entertainment when it first came out.
Quake 3 – I have probably played this more than any other game (with the possible exception of World of Warcraft) but this was my first foray in to the world of online games and that was a life-changing moment, realising that no matter how good I got there was always someone out there better… well that was a challenge I duly accepted and I have met many wonderful friends I hold very dear to me along the way across many different online games but this was the one that really blew me away
Bloodborne – I do adore the whole Soulsborne franchise(s) and as a game dev I really admire how FromSoft do things their own way and stay true to their artistic vision. I can’t think of a game that is more harmonious and congruent than Bloodborne, every pixel/sound is working in perfect harmony with each other, and the end result is something truly staggering. If I could wipe my memory and play one game over and over again and recapture the same feeling I had when I first played it, it would be Bloodborne.
Final Fantasy VII – I was queueing outside Electronics Boutique the day this came out, the first FF game to get released in Europe and I’m so glad we didn’t miss out on this one (though 6 was great and we had to import that…) – I can’t put into words what it was like encountering Sephiroth for the first time thinking I was at the Shinra HQ to complete the game and then the world map opens up and my mind was so utterly blown I couldn’t believe my eyes. As for Aerith/Aeris – well… aside from the fact she was the group healer… I was just floored; I didn’t realise how potent games were at eliciting an emotional response until that scene and I doubt any game could ever have that impact again.
Street Fighter 2 – when this first came out it was unlike anything I’d ever seen before – encountering at an arcade machine it's what the “cool older kids” were playing and its always retained that allure, this was a game that was cool and badass. The way you compete against others in fighting games has a certain purity to it that I just love, and I sorely miss having arcades to go to as they were a staple in my life growing up and there was always a great fighting game a community would build around. Getting to have the SNES version that was as close to arcade perfect as we could fathom at the time was a real joy as well and I guess this is widely regarded as the beat ‘em up that started it all and with good reason, because it did!
Q: Hey Adam and the community team, hope you're all doing well!
- Are you a cat or a dog person? xD
- When the game was announced in 2017, Everywhere was only the working title of the game. Why did you keep the name? What were some of the suggestions?
Thanks in advance! – u/thewhitewolf35
A: Hey thewhitewolf! Thanks for your fun questions 😊
I am definitely a dog person, I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and despite being fond of cats I just adore dogs – quite a few people in the office have them and I am always happy to meet them, and due to my lifestyle I am not really able to be a good and responsible dog owner right now so I am very grateful when I get to interact with any of the BARB doggos. 😊
EVERYWHERE has always been called such and I think we liked the title straight away, I think it speaks to the potentially unlimited nature of what we are trying to achieve and we want this to be a game that anyone can play, wherever they are as I think we see games as more than just ways to spend your time, they are ways to connect and socialise and learn from each other – but even more than that they are a way to share experiences and that spirit of creativity has always been our guiding star with the project.
Q: u/MightyMax_1988 would like to know more about what you do in your free time. Do you like retro consoles such as Sega Master System, Sega Genesis (mega drive), Super Nintendo (snes)? And do you like the movie Ready Player One?
A: Hey MightyMax! I am always happy to talk about my hobbies 😊my friends often wish I would shut up about them!
In my free time I do enjoy watching team sports, specifically football (lifelong Nottingham Forest fan) and I adore the NBA (big Lakers fan) and live sports are a good way to stay connected to my friends and are something I always try and make time for. I also try and stay on top of the latest greatest TV Shows, Movies and Anime (just finished Ted Lasso which I thought was such wholesome fun and I also recently finished an anime called Chainsaw Man that was just… exhilarating!).
In terms of games I’m a lifelong gamer so I’ve had every console (apart from the NeoGeo…) over the years (even a VirtualBoy), though I would say that I don’t really do much retro gaming these days as I struggle to keep up with all the modern games coming out, and I think I prioritise online gaming as it helps me stay connected to my friends so I’m always playing something with them and then trying my best to play the cream of the crop of single player games (currently trying to finish off Octopath Traveller 2 so I can move on to the new Zelda!).
And yeah, I liked both the book and the movie Ready Player One – I love a good mashup of different IPs and art-styles, I really enjoyed Wreck It Ralph for the same reason, and anything with lots of pop culture references makes me happy (even stuff like Scott Pilgrim etc.).
Q: How bad were you at Quake? – u/tyj
A: I was so terrible I had to go to tournaments and captain the UK RA3 team… it was a tough time 😊 but back then when I told people I thought Esports would be played in stadiums for millions of dollars people thought I was an idiot… I’m so delighted to see how things have ended up and really excited that future generations can actually become pro gamers as a viable path in life – how far we’ve come!
Q: Also, what’s your favourite colour? – u/voodoolady94
A: Another question from the voodoolady…. Well, this one is an easy one and I can be uncharacteristically succinct.
Pink, my favourite colour is pink 😊

2023.06.08 16:32 imSnickerZz The PGA has LOST, and GOLF will change FOREVER
I will break it down simply. For all those who think that PGA got the “best of the deal” and are still in la la land, read carefully.
- Jay M has officially sold the PGA to Saudi Arabia. This comes after a year of him absolutely talking the most shit ever on LIV which includes the PIF, he turned his back and not only will Saudi Arabia be the #1 investor, they have control of all future investors, making them in turn, the ultimate controller.
- “No LIV golfer will be welcomed back into the PGA” Jay has officially screwed over 100% of all PGA players who stayed loyal. The “legacy of the game” meant absolutely nothing, and LIV golfers will come back.
- PGA, LIV, and DP World Tour, will become one tour. Is that good for the game, is that bad for the game..who knows. It’s drama in golf so it’s definitely fascinating, however what it does mean is the PGA has sold its soul to what the PIF wanted and that is 100% involvement.
- For those of you who are saying “Jay is still CEO, he still is in control” you don’t know business. It’s as simple as this, the executives from Saudi came to Jay, probably with more leverage after Brooks won the PGA, and said “we will give you this much money, and you can be CEO, but we want to be your angel investor” which ultimately means, we will give you money, you let us run the world. And, Jay. Took. The. Money.
-Phil took the money, Dustin, Brooks, Reed, Bryson, you think the PGA is not going to accept billions of dollars in there face? Even after talking all that shit and watching players like Rory sacrifice themselves? Even Jay can’t say no.
-Golf within the PGA will never be the same.

2023.06.08 16:31 2FatC Morning Brief
Let's tour the headlines. From Yahoo's Morning Brief:
What We're Watching - A hate (almost) bull market: The S&P 500 closed Wednesday's trading session roughly 0.5% away from entering a new bull market, defined as a close 20% above its most recent low. During this rise, the the atmosphere in markets has been relatively dour, but there are signs the mood is beginning to change on Wall Street.
- Wholesale numbers and a stronger consumer: April's wholesale trade data is due out Thursday, and inventories are expected to have dropped slightly in tandem with a rise in sales — an indication of a consumer staying strong even with prices remaining high.
What We're Reading Today's Take Away Small cap stocks are finally perking up — just in time to catch Wall Street flat-footed yet again. Since Friday's job report, the Russell 2000 (^RUT) has surged 7%, rising in excess of 2% in three of the last four trading days. Meanwhile, the year's best-performing index, the Nasdaq 100 (^NDX), is fractionally lower over this period after surging more than 30% in 2023. Another example of what Yahoo Finance’s Ines Ferré noted Wednesday is a market rewarding this year the biggest losers from last year. For all the concerns about market gains being concentrated among a select few companies, the megacap rally appears to be broadening, or at least shifting into other areas. The question for investors is: does this latest rotation have legs? Or, conversely, will the small cap rally peter out and reverse just as quickly, causing more frustration for investors? Generally defined to be under $2 billion in market capitalization, small cap stocks are highly sensitive to the domestic economy and tend to do better when the economy is improving. They are also highly levered to the financial sector, as this cohort is home to many regional banks. Not surprisingly, the internet bank crisis that unfolded in March hit the Russell 2000 disproportionately hard. In that regard, small caps are highly sensitive to interest rates, as interest payments can consume a big chunk of sales. Companies that routinely tap the capital markets by selling their stock or issuing debt to fund operations have been feeling the pinch of the Fed's aggressive rate hikes since last year. However, the fallout in terms of the price of money has been contained. Looking at the high yield debt market that services companies with lower credit ratings, spreads above the risk-free Treasury yield in March barely exceeded 5% — far short of the levels seen in prior episodes of market stress. Accordingly, with the "panic" apparently contained, investors seem to be interpreting Friday's strong payrolls gain as a sign that US growth may not take a big hit this cycle. And this outcome would favor a "catch-up" rebound in small cap returns until the next major catalyst arrives. Several technical reasons are also supporting the short-term, tactical bullishness in small caps. Index traders in the futures market are short the Russell 2000, adding fuel to any squeeze higher. Also, performance relative to the megacap Nasdaq 100 had become extreme just prior to Friday's bounce, which means mean reversion is also at play. Longer-term, investors should be aware that a bet on small caps is not only a bet against a hard landing, but also against a recession, in general. If the markets are setting up like 1998 or 2019 — when stocks rebounded relatively quickly from a mere slowdown in earnings -- stocks ought to post sizable gains this year. Conversely, if this is more like the recessionary periods of 2001 or 2008, small caps could be in for a drawdown measured not in months, but years. ************************
In Other News Reuters covering the ailing GameStop. Shares getting beaten down after yet another CEO puts the job in the "too hard" pile. Big Investor Ryan Cohen set out to turn the gamer company around and make it the "Amazon of Games."
(Record Scratch.)
What? Why would Amazon sit on its competitive hands and wait for Cohen to build the Amazon of Games? Or Activision Blizzard, Microsoft, Sony...I'm not a gamer so maybe I'm missing big here.
Excerpt:
The ousting of former Amazon.com executive Matt Furlong came alongside top shareholder Ryan Cohen's appointment as the executive chairman of a company that he turned into a favorite of meme-stock traders with promises of a digital pivot. Yet GameStop was set to erase half of its gains for 2023 and about $1.3 billion in market value, with one analyst saying management change has been the only constant in recent years. "It's hard to have an opinion with no earnings call, little-to-no investor communication, and lack of consistent strategic vision," Andrew Uerkwitz of Jefferies said. "One consistency remains, changes at the top. Over the last 5 years, GameStop has had 5 CEOs and 3 CFOs." [Emphasis mine.]
Uerkwitz is among the last few analysts who cover GameStop after a massive pandemic-era rally, that was driven by traders banding together on Reddit, prompted several brokerages to say the stock price had decoupled from its fundamentals. The company's shares have dropped nearly 80% from the $120.75 peak they hit during the meme-stock saga of 2021. The stock has a 12-month trailing price-to-sales ratio of 1.38, compared with Best Buy's 0.37, according to Refinitiv. GameStop has also struggled to deliver on Cohen's pledge of making it the Amazon of videogame stores, [emphasis mine]
having seen several high-level exits over recent months, including those who were drawn from the Chewy co-founder's personal network. \*******************
I'm not going to throw rocks at anyone with an imagination and a vision. Yet there's a lot to be said for reading history in general and business history more specifically. Retailing anything is hard. Moats are low, narrow, and/or non-existent. Just look at retail clothing. Or Bed, Bath, and Bankrupt.
Other CEO news from Morning Brew CEO Chris Licht out at CNN. He lasted longer than CNN+, but Licht departed CNN yesterday after just 13 months as the head of the cable news network. His brief time at the helm included plenty of controversies, including a recent unflattering profile in The Atlantic, pushback from staff on the handling of the Donald Trump town hall, and the layoffs that came with killing the network’s attempt at a streamer. Ratings and profits also fell during his tenure. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav took responsibility for the situation [emphasis mine]
and put three execs in charge while he searches for a permanent replacement. ******************
Zaslav should take responsibility. That's his job.

2023.06.08 16:02 black_brotha Whats stopping you from using the "oscillating" technique with pennystocks to accumulate, instead of waiting for that one stock that will pop?
What i mean by oscillating technique is...some of these stocks, lets say the curent price is 0.04, moves up daily to 0.05-0.06 and then settle back down to 0.04.
If you have 5000 dollars and buy at 0.04 and sell at 0.06, thats 7500 (2500 profit)...if you do this weekly, it can easily be used to accumulate in a slow way what you're waiting to happen with a big pop.
Does anyone use that technique.

2023.06.08 15:49 Svejkovat Is shopping for a phone and plan in store at WalMart a non starter?
I've been using a WalMart Total wireless 35/month plan with a 49 dollar LG phone. It gets the job done. But it's a few years old and dying. And I generally spent 10 to 20 dollars more each month to top off the data tank. I know I'm overpaying for such absolute bare bones service and phone, but I'm reluctant to deep dive the alternatives for days and days of research to find something better. I don't have broadband at home and no other connection to other carriers. I do not need even medium high performance in a phone except decent screen and reliable internet.
Given this background, can I do better by simply going back to Walmart and sizing up what's on offer.
Could someone suggest a fairly straight forward alternative?
150-200usd phone (performance/chipset low priority.. camera medium priority... good display high priority. Screen bigger than 5.4 inch would be nice).
A 30usd/mo plan that might give me more than the 10gb that Total wireless offers?
Also I'd like the phone to work flawlessly with the plan. Does that ALWAYS have to mean buying one of the high mark-up phones offered with the plan? I've had some nightmarish experiences in the past trying to actually use better value unlocked phones that were "approved" for use with a plan.
Thanks so much for suggestions.

2023.06.08 15:49 Casca_In_Red So this is why I love item boxes
It kind of fascinates me that despite 'Survival Horror' being a made-up marketing term for Resident Evil 1, how closely it manages to resemble modern survival games in several key areas: A focus on resource gathering/use, a grid-based inventory, and of course- item boxes. RE's systems don't entirely feel out of sync with the likes of Valheim, The Long Dark, The Forest, or even something completely atonal like Terraria. And that, from what I can tell, isn't by intention, but rather a natural consequence of trying to create a game with "survival" as a core theme. After all, to approach survival in any gamified way, is to ask what the core struggles of it are in a real-life setting: considerations like the body's needs, carrying capacity, and just what to do with all that stuff has to be taken into account. So in a roundabout way- my point is that it made sense from the beginning for item boxes to be there, simply because they closely enough resemble the backpacks, vehicles, and prepper's caches of the real world. And despite the fact that not every RE has chosen to directly engage with this system, I do think that they not only speak to something "real" about survival, but are directly responsible for giving the games that do utilize them a deeper and more fulfilling sense of it.
A lot of you probably already know this, but the original intent of RE1 was to have each item box be "dysnc'd". Each box denoted its own, separate, storage space. Later on, it was decided that this was too difficult for players, and the "they're all linked" system we're familiar with was implemented (though the idea does remain as a sort of nod in one of REmake's difficulty modes). Now, in the context of RE1 only, a non-linked system would have been more challenging, but, still quite possible because of its relatively unified level design compared to the rest of the series. It's built all as one, small, world, and there are really no notable cutoffs until its final conclusion. (And just as a bit of an aside, I think this design is quite brilliant. It's really satisfying to know that you can run all the way from the Tyrant's elevator straight back to front door of the Spencer Mansion if you so choose.) So really all linking the item boxes did was facilitate easier gameplay, but that being said- I think it was a design choice that gave a distinct advantage as the series moved forward.
On a purely gameplay axis, not much changed with RE2 (at least as far as core systems were concerned). It was the same controls, inventory system, resource system, etc. And despite some fun tweaks like Zapping, altered character movements when in danger, more aggressive pushing of zombies away after a bite, and the like- it's not as if it could be seen as a decidedly different game (the way say, RE4 was). But what did change, was its overall level and world design. Gone was the idea of a small, continuous, world that could freely be explored from start to near finish. And despite there still being a great deal of exploration, RE1's singular world was ditched in favor of sequential, smaller, "worlds" to delve into, and here's the important part: Crossing into one cut you off from the previous. Now, imagine what would happen if that design was chosen, but with un-linked item boxes?
Resources, puzzle items, keys, etc. would all be left behind. Everything stored in the previous "world's" box would have to be taken into account by Capcom as irrelevant for the next area. In a sense, what it would turn RE into is a sequence of isolated levels, each with their own insular resource limits and puzzle challenges. Something closer to the design of DOOM, in which set capacities of health and ammunition aside- everything more or less "resets" at the start of each new level. So what the linked item boxes do, is make sure that ALL the resources and key items in the game are "in play" for the entire duration of the run. That the bullets you spend or herbs you burn in hour-one matter up to hour-five, and beyond. Or perhaps that that key item you forgot all about in hour-two needs to finally be whipped out again in hour-four. The linked item boxes are taking a broken world, and re-unifying it. Bringing it in line with RE1's core design despite their linear progression.
So why do I think this is important? Well, because I personally feel that in lines up more with the emotional experience of "survival." It forces you to think long term. To truly consider your resources, and treat them as something precious, because of the butterfly effect-like way their use echoes and compounds throughout a run. I recently played through RE5 for the first time, having long had it on the back burner. I've gotta say, I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. It's an excellent shooter, and a truly fun game. But one of the most notable things about it is how removed from those feelings of survival it really is. Almost every challenge is completely disconnected from another. One hard room is just that, a room. Then it's off to an auto save, a quick restock of your resources from boxes or the store, and then all that came before is forgotten for the next hard room. There simply aren't any meaningful enough systems to create that same compounding/butterfly effect as the old item box system. I would sometimes run low on health or ammo, but I never felt a risk of soft lock, as there was always a way to push forward enough to regain anything lost. Now that's not "bad" in some sort of objective way. So many good games use similar systems of progress (RE5 itself aping a lot of Gears of War's). But the old item box system forces a lot more responsibility into the player's hands to make smart decisions about where and how to spend their limited resources.
Survival games, of course, don't play anything like Resident Evil by and large. Minecraft, Conan, Valheim- they're usually far more concerned with a more or less unending gameplay loop of gathering, crafting, some inevitable resource sink, followed by doing it all over again, maybe with some sort of crafting upgrade tree that is slowly climbed in the middle of it all. They're selling the Robinson Crusoe version of survival, usually lacking RE's horrors and definitive ending. But I still feel like RE, at its best, sells a very potent and deep feeling of survival that very few games can match, and personally- I think a lot of that is owed to how item boxes work. It helps the games feel just a little more removed from artifice, and a little closer to reality. And I love them for it.

2023.06.08 15:46 ChickenGunYou Strip Mine
So we play family MTG with 3 players and rarely 4 (if my other son joins in).
Shit gets ugly. I stumbled into a [[Sheoldred, Whispering One]] + [[Grave Betrayal]] + [[Damping Matrix]] combo and wrecked the board a few nights ago. Waited for graveyards to fill, someone removed damping matrix, I started the [[Sheoldred]] saga and it spiraled out of control from there.
There is now definite collusion against me and whispers of the blasphemous land removal; I heard the word “mass” in there too.
So…suffice it to say, things are going to get ugly.
In response I’m changing my commander and going Tevesh Sjat (sp?) and [[Sakashima of a thousand faces]] with lots of stealing and sacrificing and general nastiness.
Questions:
- I would like to play in a casual game at the local store. Is [[strip mine]] a bad idea? Does it destroy target/nonbasics? I believe it does. Of course I can pop it out for a basic swamp.
- How do I protect my precious lands from my conniving wife and treacherous son?
- Question one again but for [[Null Rod]] or [[Dampening Matrix]]. No [[Myocinth Lattice]].

When Is the Release Date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was one of the many films to get hit by a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, moving from its original date of April 8, 2022, to October 7, 2022. That's the date seen in the above trailer, but the film has since seen another significant delay since then. Now the film is officially set for release on June 2, 2023. Hopefully, we won't see another delay, but if it means getting a sequel that lives up to the sky-high heights of the original, we'll gladly wait.
Miles, Gwen, Peter, and several dozen other Spider-people will be swinging into action when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse premieres on Friday, June 2nd, 2023. This almost undoubtedly gives Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Flash a run for their money as the biggest superhero movie event of the Summer.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters? Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available in theaters starting this afternoon with a wider release date of June 2.
Not only was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the subject of rave reviews, but it also pulled in some gargantuan levels of cash at the international box office, with a final tally that quadrupled the film's ninety-million dollar budget. With incredible success like that, it's only natural that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would also be taking advantage of a theatrical release. That is the case, as the upcoming film will be exclusively available in theaters when it premieres on June 2nd, 2023.
Where To Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse As of now, the only way to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 2. You can find a local showing on Fandango.
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to purchase or rent on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, Amazon and YouTube, or become available to stream on Netflix and Disney+.
How to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse There's been no official announcement regarding Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's streaming release date, though we know it will eventually be released on Netflix, rather than Disney+.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will most certainly come to not only streaming, but quite probably physical media, as well. It’s just a matter of when that’s going to be, and we can make some pretty good guesses on a streaming release window for Across the Spider-Verse. While we currently don’t know the exact online release date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, we do know the movie will be released in cinemas worldwide, including the US and UK, on June 2nd, 2023.
Where will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse stream specifically? Due to an ongoing deal between Netflix and Sony (remember that these movies are not produced by Disney), Across the Spider-Verse will see Netflix as the streaming home for the film when it finishes its theatrical run. It will no doubt make its way to Disney+ eventually, as Disney and Sony do have an agreement for Disney to include Sony’s Spider-Man content in their offerings, but that will at least be some time after Across the Spider-Verse has come out on Netflix.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on Streaming? The Spider-Man franchise is in a pretty interesting place regarding streaming. The various films of Sony's franchise have typically been scattered across multiple services. That said, following a historic deal between Sony and Disney, the many stories of Peter Parker and beyond are now available on Disney+. This includes the original Sam Raimi trilogy, the first Amazing Spider-Man film, and, starting mid-May, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom. Notably absent from the Disney-streaming platform so far are The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius, and most significant of all, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
If Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes to Disney+ before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's theatrical run concludes, that would make the House of Mouse's service a likely contender for a streaming release. However, Sony has also historically partnered with Netflix for streaming releases. Up until recently, that's where Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was available to stream, and Sony still brings their other big releases to the service, like Bullet Train and The Woman King.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On Netflix? Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will eventually be on Netflix as a result of a deal inked between the streaming platform and the movie’s distributor, Sony Pictures. The deal gives the streamer U.S. rights to all the company’s theatrical films starting in 2022.
While a streaming release date has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate based on another recent Sony film. The Woman King was released in theaters on Sept. 16, 2022, before it came to Netflix on Feb. 16, 2023 — around five months after it debuted. If Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse follows the same pattern, we could be watching from the comfort of our homes by early November 2023.
However, a digital release date should arrive much sooner. The Storm Reid-led thriller Missing was released in theaters on Jan. 20 before becoming available to purchase or rent on March 7 — about 45 days after its debut. By that logic, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse should come to digital by late mid-July 2023.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On Disney Plus Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will eventually come to Disney+ due to the company’s deal with Sony Pictures Releasing, which allows it access to all of Sony’s theatrical releases following their “Pay 1 TV Window.” This means that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters, then on digital, then on Netflix and finally on Disney platforms — meaning it’s going to be a while until this happens.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On HBO Max? No, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu? Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.

There are a few ways to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse online in the U.S. You can use a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on DVD and Blu-ray? Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will likely be coming to DVD and Blu-ray around the same time as the streaming release. With theatrical films, on average, coming to streaming sooner than ever (usually ninety days after theatrical release), we'll likely see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse get a DVD, and Blu-ray release no later than Fall 2023.
How to Watch Previous Spider-Verse Movie The first movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, isn't available with any streaming subscription; it's only available on-demand with live-TV services like fuboTV and DirecTV. However, the movie can be rented or purchased on Prime Video or YouTube.

What Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse About? Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to the 2018 Oscar-winning animated film Into the Spider-Verse. According to Sony, the plot of Across the Spider-Verse is as follows:
After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, the neighborhood Spider-Man from Brooklyn takes off across the Multiverse. He meets the Spider Society there, a team of Spider-People tasked with protecting the Multiverse. However, when the heroes differ on how to deal with a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and is compelled to act on his own to save people he loves about the most. Anyone can wear the mask; a hero is defined by their use of it.

2023.06.08 15:07 dydzio Small insight from somebody who tracked games flopping (such as bless, mu legend etc.)
In this post I deliberately skip facts and guesses related to NCSoft's behavior, so it fully focuses on new insight rather than copypasting what others said. I predicted MU Legend's flop 2 weeks after its release. I did not play T&L, but I do logical analysis of available data:
- What was presented by game developers partially reflects approach, mindset and expectations from their game. It does not seem they are trying to make "good MMO". Ridiculous auto combat bot probably is not flawed design, but something that fits their game design that has to be adjusted to their business plans.
- The quality of gameplay (combat design, general gameplay design etc.) is not even at "previous MMO generation" level if we compare with some well renowned titles. Graphics somewhat reach "previous gen" level but graphics alone do not sell the MMORPG. Maybe it would be better game if they sticked to old design plans and made ARPG / H&S where technically simple gameplay is still very well received.
- Some players try to find artificial solution to problems that should not be there in the first place. "How to solve problem of grinding at times when people are not willing to grind in games anymore?" - it is really simple - by not designing the game as being that grindy and requiring people to use built-in bots.
- I am not sure what this game brings to the table to make it stand out from the competition (BDO, Lost Ark are somewhat similar equivalents). Less polish and content makes it even harder for new MMO's to gain attention.
- There is a niche of older players who are busy with life or not very physically capable to actively play fast paced games, that get attracted by games that partially play by themselves. Maybe they will like the game, but they are not representation of mainstream gamers.
- Based on flopped games it's safe to say that it is not worth to listen to developer's letters or promises. Analyse state of the game and check pace of updates as time goes. MMORPG titles flop fairly quickly due to heavy investment needed to deliver new content, fix problems and people get really upset if some critical bugs like item duplication do not get fixed fast. Sometimes technologically primitive elements of the game may be signs of questionable long-term budget and quality of game engine. For example ability to do pretty wild cheating via cheat engine or performance problem and game choking while using one CPU core.
- Apparently a lot of development effort was wasted on redesigning game, which results in game that is not very advanced for it's development time and such redesigns aren't good feat itself anyway.
- My personal initial impression about the game: No reason to bother while some other big titles exist on the market, especially since I'm not fan of subtype of MMO's with PK system, grindy leveling and being technologically outdated. Last time I had fun playing such games was like 15 years ago, when I was playing Metin 2.

Before anyone starts typing: I know that fights are decided by the writer. Believe me, I know. Still, this fight was the equivalent of reading a crime novel and seeing the protagonist jump ten feet in the air, land on the car he was chasing and punch a hole through the car roof. There must be moderation. Yes you're allowed to write what you want but we need standards. I don't want to see, for example, Spider-Man beating a herald of Galactus.
I used to think that Batman vs JLA in Confidential was utterly ridiculous. There are many more fights from other publishers I can mention but out of the DC ones, this one's definitely up there.
I get it, "Light has his memories back now! He's smarter, evil, more dangerous!". Now his powers are stronger but you know what isn't stronger?
His bones.
The bones that should have been shattered the first time he was hit. He doesn't have any enhanced durability and yet if I had a dollar for every time he was injured I would have enough money to buy a better comic.
Am I implying that Dr Light can't beat two dozens of heroes? Not really. There's a chance but he needs to be smart. Take for example a fight between the two X-Men, Cyclops and Colossus. Cyclops' beams are powerful but, like Light, he doesn't have any super strength. Colossus does, however, so if he just gets close, Cyke is knocked down with a single hit. If Cyke wants to win he needs to keep a distance and play it safe.
That's not what Light does. The Titans all jump him and Cyborg sends him flying and somehow he still stands. A fight is all about the choreography and this one's just sucks.
I have not read Identity Crisis yet. Matter of fact I wasn't planning on reading this either, it was just included in this tpb but just reading this tie-in is awful. Not just fights but the writing, too. I'm the kind of guy that learned not to judge a story before reading it just because of the general consensus and yet this story makes me want to stay away from the main event. That's how bad it is.

2023.06.08 15:00 Grandidealistic Balance Ideas: Survivors version
Hello, I am a game analyst and mostly play some random games for fun. After playing this game since season 5, to my interest, compared to games like League for instance, IDV stands out as one of the worst balanced game ever. I am not trying to disregard it as a bad game, but compared to DBD/League that usually has a balance patch every 2 weeks or so, IDV has one like, every 2/3 months?
Here's my take on why IDV is so heavily unbalanced:
- Too low balance patches. Balance patches usually take place at the end of the season, so survivors are usually either broken ass or underwhelming for the entire season.
- NE wants to make money. Some survivors have been in spotlight for over 3 years. Not because they can't be fixed, but because they simply sell skins better than others.
- Survivors suffered from design issues that cause them to always be better than some, and numbers simply can't fix the problem right away. Antiquarian has 3 stuns, 1 dash and 1 move boost; Priestess walks through walls and stun. What does Lawyer have? A map? Even if NE tweaks the number, it wouldn't be making any difference outside of a rework.
So here, I am just going to try to elaborate on the problem of every single survivor and write down some adjustments that they need. The ones I didn't list out, I think they are just decent enough to not need an adjustment.
Doctor (Adjustment) The problem with Doctor is that she is specialized in countering a very specific type of mechanic: healing - making her super aggressive to those like Hermit or Clerk but incredibly fragile against hunters that have a great pressure pursuit skill like Gamekeepe26/Bonbon/Gala or Joker. Not only that, Doctor struggles to do anything meaningful unless she is the one being in chase, or when there are a lot of injured teammates. And even then her skill is really hit or miss.
Another thing to note is that while Doctor can play very aggressively, it doesn't reflect the normal image of a Doctor (who the fuck spam confused emotes when hitting others with pallets); just a small nitpick, but at least right now she doesn't have to be in chase to be effective at doing her job.
- [Nerf] Bonus self-healing speed is removed (from 20%)
- [New] When being [8-0m] close to the hunter, Doctor gains [0%-40%] bonus self-healing speed. The closer she is to the hunter, the faster she can heal herself.
- [Buff] Vaulting speed debuff is removed.
- [Buff] Doctor can now see the auras of all injured survivors and gain 5% bonus movement speed when moving towards them.
- [Buff] Upon healing a teammate, both of them gains vision of each other. The effect ends when either are incapacitated.
Lawyer (Overhaul) Lawyer is fine as a concept, but his item is just garbage in a 4v1 game, especially where he is on a 4 players side - where he is simply doing too little to justify using him over someone like Prisoner who can't compete with decoding but makes up a lot for that with his global transmission. Simply reworking his item into a different stuff and rehauling some of his decoding speed to balance him out.
- Foresight: When used, the auras of Dungeons, Cipher Machines, Lockers and Chests are revealed for 5 seconds. When moving towards them within 15m during the period, movement speed + 20%. Has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
- Heartless: No longer remove Terror Shock. Now grants self a 20% Rocket Chair delay.
- Take Notes: Upon decoding for 10 seconds or more, decoding speed + 15%. The bonus is removed when Lawyer stops decoding.
- Veterans (Unchanged)
Gardener (Overhaul) Gardener keeps getting buffed occasionally, but the main reason why she feels so clunky to use stems from her item Toolbox, which is the nichest of item you can get. I want to transfer some of her power back into the Toolbox, and make her shield do less, as she is dominating COA and pro play mainly with her shield, not with the toolbox.
Ingenuity: - Carries around a toolkit that is used to destroy Rocket Chairs.
- Rocket Chairs can be destroyed in 2 uninterrupted seconds, afterwards unable to be used by hunters for 15 seconds upon breaking. The same Rocket Chair cannot get broken twice within 120 seconds.
- Successfully breaking a Rocket Chair when the hunter is within 18m will increase movement speed of self and all survivors nearby by 50% for 2 seconds. If a survivor gains this buff while being on the balloon, it will be put on hold and start again when they successfully wiggle out.
- The Toolbox has a duration of 12 seconds.
Protection: - The Gardener can block one incoming damage instance in the entire game. This effect expires when attacked by the Hunter. When the shield is broken, Gardener gains the same movement speed boost as if she was hit.
- When the shield holds, Gardener gains 10% bonus Vaulting speed and 10% bonus decoding speed.
Confidence - Due to her familiarity with the structure of Rocket Chairs, Gardener is less scared and can locate Rocket Chairs nearby.
- When a hunter puts a survivor on the balloon and Gardener is in their Terror Radius, their struggling speed is increased by 20% and Gardener gains 10% bonus movement speed.
Veterans (Unchanged)
Lucky Guy (Buff) Lucky Guy is simply helpless now considering how the game has abandoned chests as a mechanic just like Lockers. I am just going to increase his numbers to make sure that IF he wants opening chests to be his mechanic, then he MUST be good at it.
- [Buffed] Chest's searching speed is increased by 200%. (From 60%).
- [Buffed] The game automatically adds 3 chests when Lucky Guy is present. (Does not stack)
- [Buffed] All chests are revealed to Lucky Guy for 25 seconds at the start of the match.
- [Buffed] Searching a chest grants 3% decoding speed for the rest of the match (Can stack)
Mercenary (Nerfs) With how important rescuing is, Mercenary saw a sharp rate in usage throughout the years which has still becoming too oppressive in all levels of play. Since I do not want to nerf his Elbow Pad, just kneecapping the Steel Will is enough to push him slightly away from the meta without causing a trouble in lower ranks. To skew the nerf for pro play over lower division, have some fun for the compensated buff.
- [Nerfed] The Steel Will effect will only take place if Mercenary is within 16m of a Rocket Chair with a survivor on it. If he gets hit, his fear gradually increases for 15 seconds during the period. This effect can only be triggered twice per match.
- [Buffed] Decoding speed reduced by 25% -> 15%
- [Buffed] Healing debuff reduced to 5% per hit (up to 20%) from 15% (up to 75%)
- [Buffed] Elbow Pad counts increased to 4 from 3
Mechanic (Adjustment) The problem with Mechanic is her capability to turn herself into a 5v1 game which has totally withered with her robots nerfed about 10 times. There is one thing that NE is steering right, and that is leaning her capabilities into the kiting area instead of forcing her to be a dead survivor that only decodes on chair (which is why she is so popular in higher divisions).
Because of that, a buff to her kiting skill would well be appreciated, as well as increasing the incentive of using her as a Minds' Eye who focus on completing a single cipher instead of doing 2 ciphers at once, which is mainly why she is so strong.
Operator: - The Robot's battery only gets reduced when decoding, and battery decoding consumption is increased to 1%/second when decoding (was 0,56%/s)
- If the Robot is being chased and it is not crouching, it will automatically move even if it is not being controlled by Mechanic.
- The Robot cannot heal other survivors except for Mechanic, and its healing speed towards Mechanic is increased by 50%.
- Remove the effect during which the robot can be used on chair.
Fragile: - Vaulting speed debuff is reduced to 5% (was 15%).
Mech Master: - Mechanic’s default decoding speed has been removed.
- Robot's decoding speed is reduced to 40% of original decoding speed (was 100%), but does not get calibrations when decoding.
- When decoding with Mechanic, its decoding speed is increased to 75% of the original decoding speed. (Both of them still receive the normal coop decoding speed penalty, thus the total decoding speed is only about ~125%, lower than 130% of Mind’s Eye)
Cowardly (removed)
Explorer (Buff) Kurt's lackluster win rate and pick rate are mainly from the fact that he takes more time using his skills (1. Go to a password page; 2. Dig a password page; 3. Go to a cipher to spend the page) than decoding normally on a cipher in early game. A single buff to his decoding speed to increase the incentive of decoding early rather than digging the password pages would be enough to increase back his popularity as a hyper decoder late game.
- [Nerf early game, buff late game] Digging up Password Pages takes [40 – 20 seconds, scales with game time, digging speed is increased by 5% each 10 seconds, up to 100%]
- [Buffed] No longer trigger notification when finish decoding a page.
- [Added effect] Curiosity: The Explorer is curious about his new environment. When the Explorer starts decoding, his decoding speed is increased by 30% for 15 seconds. The effect is removed after 30 seconds from the start of the match.
- Energy Reserved: The time required to trigger is reduced to 5 seconds from 10 seconds, and the bonus movement speed is increased to 15% from 10%.
Mind's Eye (Buff) Even if Mind's Eye is not blind, she would still be bad. When Composer and Prisoner are identified as a Decoder, Mind's Eye "so-called kiting skill" is a complete joke. But to fulfill the wish of her mains that want her to be blind, I want to keep that fantasy while making her bulkier at all stages of the game.
- [Buffed] Using the cane now does not alert the hunter when it's used nor does it creates the sound wave effect nor indicate the hunter of the effects in their HUD, but the animation of Mind's Eye striking her cane is still visible.
- [Buffed] Hunters who are affected by the sound wave within 20m have their next Interaction Speed reduced by 45% for 6 seconds.
- [Buffed] The cooldown of the cane by default is 20s (reduced from 50s). If the Hunter performs an action that triggers the Interaction speed debuff from the cane, the cooldown is increased by 25 seconds.
- [Buffed] The “blind” visual effect is now turned into a greyscale-like effect instead.
- [Nerfed] Decoding speed is reduced to 120% from 130%. Calibrations will now appear normally.
Priestess (Nerf) Although Priestess has never been weak, she has never been truly broken as a kiter either but broken as a supporter that set up portals to transition survivors. A nerf to her Holy Key support capability and her random qualities of life that make her so frustrating to play against, a slight buff to her normal kiting pace. Now everyone's happy.
- [Adjusted] Portal cooldown is reduced to 60s (was 70s), but recovers 40% slower when not in chase, up to 100s (was 70s).
- [Buffed] Vaulting speed debuff is removed.
- [Nerfed] A survivor can only walk through a portal once. This includes Priestess.
- [Adjusted] Priestess's healing speed is increased by 20% and she gets healed 20% faster. She no longer passively reduces the healing speed of the entire team and herself.
- [Nerfed] If Priestess is not in pursuit, portal’s stun duration is reduced by 50%, and the speed at which it disappears is doubled.
- [Nerfed] Hunter can't be stunned or involuntarily walk through two consecutive portals within 2 seconds. This remove the logic in which if Priestess sets up two portals in narrow areas, the hunter can fall directly into another portal.
- [QoL] The portal will now have an indication of when it will disappear to both hunters and survivors, and the aura of it is visible with 8m to both sides.
Female Dancer (Adjustments) Dancer currently relies too much on her music box, which is one of the most powerful items in the game. But that is honestly not a healthy way to design a character, as a nerf to the music boxes can make her entire kit falls apart. I am giving her a completely new trait while simultaneously reducing the highlights she could do with the boxes.
- [Nerfed] The boxes now only reduce/increase Movement speed and the same box effects no longer stack. The Dancer can no longer pick up boxes. The dash is removed.
- [New] Dancer recovers a music box each 60 seconds, up to 3. A music box lasts for a maximum of 8 seconds and cannot be broken by the hunter. Dancer starts the match with 2 music boxes. Dancer will immediately drop the music box instead of having to place it down.
- [Buffed] The movement speed modification is increased to 25%.
- [New Trait] Focus: All windows and pallets are highlighted within 16 meters. Dancer gains 125% bonus interaction speed when vaulting over them (Has a cooldown of 120 seconds, reduced by 10 seconds each time she vaults)
- [New Trait] Footwork: When Dancer takes damage, her movement speed buff is extended by 1 second, increased to 3 seconds if she is within the range of a music box.
Coordinator Among the game, Coordinator is the only survivor who aged super poorly. Although her strength remains the same through patches and patches, Trump Card (allowing for Excitement -> Teleport), new stun resist personas, and the appearance of new stunners really force her to become reliant on her gun which is not reliable at all. Here’s giving her way more room to play while simultaneously making her more comfortable with the Flare Gun.
- [Buffed] The gun silences the hunter for 5 seconds, disabling their ability to use skills or traits. This includes persona branches.
- [Buffed] Remove the decoding debuff when a survivor is put on chair.
- [Buffed] Upon using the gun, Coordinator gains 50% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds, regardless of if the gun shot hit or not.
- [Nerfed] Flare Gun duration reduced to 2.5 seconds from 4.5 seconds. Coordinator’s Flare Gun duration reduced to 3.5 seconds from 5 seconds.
- [Buffed] If Coordinator stuns the hunter when they are carrying a survivor, the stun will be applied after the survivor drops to the ground.
Perfumer (Buff) As a survivor, Perfumer has faded away from the meta even before Journalist was released. Her item either feeds presence for the hunter early game or becomes useless once she gets injured, which becomes more polarizing in later ranks. A strong buff to her can automatically get her to the territory of pick/ban, so giving her some QOLs to at least mitigate her early game while removing her most frustrating feature.
- [Buff] Perfumer gains 50% movement speed for 1 second when the effect of Euphoria ends without her being injured during the process.
- [Buff] If Perfumer is knocked down during the effect of Euphoria, she receives Last Effort for the rest of its duration.
- [Nerf] Getting too far away from the perfume will immediately end it. (descending to first floor; using Holy Key; etc.)
Seer (Nerf) Seer is balanced around the ban button, plus he only really has one skill to play around. While it's safe to assume he does not need a nerf, a QOL nerf can lift people from that ban button to give him some spotlight in all divisions.
- [Nerfed] Maximum number of Owl reduced to 1 (from 5)
- [Nerfed] Time required to get an Owl increased to 25/28/31s for each successful blocked attempt, up to three times (from 25s across the board)
Embalmer (Buff) In circumstances where Embalmer cannot be good when facing certain hunters, he is bad, so I'm lowering the chance for those circumstances to happen.
- [Buff] During Resurrection, the first 2 seconds no longer reveal the coffin’s aura.
- [Buff] The resurrected survivor's invulnerability duration is extended to 15 seconds, during which interacting with Pallets, Windows or Cipher Machines or Rocket Chair will linger the duration by an extra 2 seconds then instantly ends the duration and convert the remaining time into Tide Turner effect instead.
- [Nerf] The Embalmer still gets affected by control effects during the Invulnerability window.
Barmaid (Nerf) Barmaid has been having the time of her life across all skill brackets, from lower divisions to pro play. While she is fair to play against, she shouldn't be too oppressive.
- [Nerf] D.U.P.H.R.I.N now grants 10% bonus movement speed and 10% bonus vaulting speed (was 50% movement speed for 2 seconds).
- [New] Barmaid can drink both drinks at once. She will still lost 25% of her health during the period. If she did, the bonus from Duphrin is increased to 25% bonus movement speed and 10% bonus vaulting speed.
- [Buff] Each stack of Tipsy no longer reduces decoding speed.
Postman (Buff) Postman has seen a drastic drop in usage in lower ranks as the latest nerf hits him a little bit too hard. Since the problem was always cipher rushing with the decoding letter, I would buff him with a small QoL adjustment that directly buff his two most underused letters, while removing his most problematic letter in game. Yes, getting to ciphers faster still let you finish them faster, but at least you will have to actually decide if you really want to use it or not.
- [Overhaul] Bravery Letter: The next controlling effect within 20s (Patroller, Ann's cat,...) has its duration reduced by 80%. Successfully resisting one will grants 50% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds.
- [Buff] Farewell Letter: In addition to the bonus movement speed upon vaulting, the recipient's next vault also has a 25% bonus vaulting speed.
- [Overhaul] Tranquility Letter: For the next 8 seconds, self can see the hunter’s location and gains 20% bonus movement speed when not in chase.
Toy Merchant (Adjusted) Anne has been having a bit of a blast in pro play, though her normal performance in lower divisions does not speak much. Sharply nerfing the coordination though leaving her own performance untouched.
- [Nerf] The distance that Toy Merchant can throw her toys is reduced to 3 meters. The action has a 45 second cooldown.
- [Buff] Gain 20% bonus movement speed upon landing from a height for 3 seconds.
Weeping Clown (Buff) Weeping Clown's item is not bad, but it is simply described through the word average. Giving him more impact instead of simply increasing his numbers.
- The cooldown of Rocket is reduced to 6s (from 20s). If Weeping Clown cancels the Rocket, he retains it but loses 60% of its charges.
- No longer has a cast time when using the Rocket.
- [Nerf] Each used Rocket reduces decoding speed by 8%.
Antiquarian (Nerf) Antiquarian is overperforming and causing problems in both pro play and normal play. Giving her a nerf to her comeback potential which makes her a tad too spamable while still maintaining her identity.
- [Nerfed] Antiquarian now has a 30% healing speed debuff and gets healed 30% slower.
Little Girl By design, Little Girl is one of the few that I utterly despise because of her unhealthy Leeching mechanic. While she isn’t THAT strong, the mechanic removes a lot of interactions and force the hunter to be careful at dealing with her or otherwise she can leech onto a stronger kiter and be unstoppable for the rest of the game, especially if you are tunneling her.
Memory Fragment, is an extremely fun concept and one of the best ability in the game, giving her more power in that; while reworking her most frustrating ability. Now she can become more sufficient on her own, and not having to bind to a Forward or Batter to survive.
Memory Fragment - [Buff] Self knockback effect is increased to 6m to 4,1m. The radius of the memory fragment is increased. No longer have a delay upon using.
- [Nerf] The hunter's knockback is reduced from 4,1m to 2m.
- [Buff] Initial Charge increased to 2 from 1,25.
Memory Sync (Reworked) - No longer increasing their decoding speed by 70%, vaulting speed by 15%, and pallet dropping/Rocket Chair-rescuing speed by 30%
- Memory Fragments cannot be recharged during Memory Sync.
- [Sudden Impact] Memory Sync will stop and linger for another 5 seconds when the survivor uses an ability or does anything that would progress the game (decoding, dropping pallets, vaulting, etc), then Memory and the survivor gain 45% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds.
Esthesia - Little Girl's vaulting speed by default is increased by 15%
- All survivors with less than 100% vaulting speed gains Ambience with Little Girl. (does not count persona branches)
- When Little Girl is not injured and in the effect of Memory Sync, the Ambience Survivor gains 30% bonus vaulting speed and 45% bonus pallet dropping speed. Furthermore, Memory Fragment is enhanced: Self knockback increased to 7.5m, Hunter knockback increased to 3m.
- The Ambience Survivor will not be affected from the [Sudden Impact] effect, but can cancel Memory Sync at any times to gain the movement speed buff. The movement speed duration is increased by 2 seconds.
Novelist Ah yes, good idea but horrendous execution. Novelist is the strongest survivor in the entire game speaking from a mechanically standpoint. But his kit is just super unhealthy, so here's an entire rework.
Metaphor (cooldown: 20 seconds) - Novelist can gather information from hunters by looking directly at their face. The time it takes to gather information is 16 seconds. (Increased to 16/32/48/64s when more than 1 novelist) Novelist starts the match with 8 seconds of the information progress available.
- Upon using the Metaphor, the hunter will become a helpless survivor for 2.5 seconds and will automatically act as if Novelist is the hunter, moving away from him. During this time, they have greatly obscured vision. Novelist gains 10% bonus movement speed for 2.5 seconds upon using Metaphor. Novelist can only hold one hunter’s information at the same time.
Outline (cooldown: 30 seconds) - Novelist can learn the behaviors of other survivors by looking directly at their face. The time it takes to gather information is 12 seconds (increased to 12/24/36/48s when more than 1 novelist)
- Upon using the Outline, both Novelist and them gain 40% movement speed for 3 seconds, reduced to 20% if Novelist is 32m away from the survivor. This ability can only be used once for each survivor. Novelist can hold multiple individual’s Outline at the same time.
Resonance - Upon using either Metaphor or Outline, Novelist gains resonance with them.
- Using Metaphor causes both of you to see each other’s aura for 5 seconds. Using Outline increases healing speed towards each other by 10% for the rest of the match.
Foreshadowing - Becomes obsessed with the beginning of a new novel and gradually slow down the pace.
- When decoding a cipher with less than 50% of its progress, calibrations rate is increased by 30%. When decoding a cipher with more than 50% of its progress, decoding speed is reduced by 5%, calibrations rate is reduced by 20%, and a great calibration will increase the progress by an additional 0,4%.
[Now allowed in Duo hunters]
Psychologist Though the Stress reduction time window is kind of interesting to play with, it mostly leads to some inconsistencies to both sides, whether chip damage chipping her down too quick; or her being able to back up a second kite after chair which is super frustrating to play against. Though reducing the duration would be beneficial to both sides, Psychologist herself also gets a bonus buff to her support capabilities as a compensation for the seemingly nerf.
- [Adjustment] Stress window is now considered as an additional health bar that will immediately consumed when damaged (from 32 seconds)
- [Buff] Empathize duration reduced to 4 seconds from 5 seconds.
- [Buff] Healing penalty changed to 5/20/35% from 10/20/30/40/50%
- [Buff] The healing penalty will not take effect if Psychologist still has her additional health bar active.
Professor [Rework] Professor is one of the few survivors who has a good concept, but in practice he is just a less attractive version of Seer. While it is not healthy to discuss which survivor is better, it is not wrong to say that the playstyle of him really feels like a discounted version of Seer who is much more flexible with all hunters. The hunters he counters, should not be countered that hard and the hunters that he struggles to play against should not be too oppressive for him.
Scale Hardening - The Professor can harden the scales on his body for 2 seconds, granting him the ability to negate all normal attacks and abilities during the duration. A scale takes 30 seconds to charge up. Professor can hold up to 2 scales at a time.
- Upon a successful block, Professor explodes all scales in his possession, stunning the hunter for 1,8 seconds (increased to 2,4 seconds if he has another scale exploded). During the duration, Professor gains 100% bonus movement speed for 1,8 seconds (increased to 2,4 seconds if he has another scale exploded)
Scale Shedding - Scales now stuns the hunter for 0,8 seconds and raises the survivor movement speed by 100% for the same period. Survivors cannot pick another one for 120 seconds.
- Whenever Professor receives damage not from a basic attack, he gains 30% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds. The ¼ shield is removed.
Insanity - Professor’s decoding speed is reduced by 10%. If Professor did a successful block on his scale, the decoding speed is further reduced by 5%, up to 20% decreased decoding speed.
Painter There are three problems when it comes to Painter. First, while his Paintings are among some of the most powerful in the games, it is negated by its lackluster number, creating a dilemma where hunters can completely avoid the painting by looking away or simply using Excitement. Secondly, Painter struggles at late game where he has little self-peel to help himself, just like Perfumer. And finally, his painting is just not good in a chase compared to others who have a much easier time controlling their stuns (i.e., Prospector). Here’s to removing one of his most frustrating features of him, while simultaneously getting his own kiting pace more acceptable.
Artistic Sensitivity - The number of drawing boards is increased to 3 (from 2)
- Painter automatically draws when he is directly looking at the hunter. The time it takes to draw is increased to 12 seconds from 9 seconds.
- When walking to the painting, hunter’s POV no longer gets fixed towards it.
- If Painter is not in pursuit, the stun duration is reduced by 50%. (Nerf)
Aesthetic Resonance - No longer increases movement speed.
- Now increased vaulting speed by 5%/10%/15%
Journalist Journalist is utterly broken, and people are just starting to realize it by now. Even though her identity is a rescuer, her kiting skills are insane and is basically a better version of Perfumer who doesn’t even need to be healthy to kite. Imagine Seer, with three owls right at the start of the match. Her main persona isn’t even 36, but 39, as kiting with her is insanely strong and the rescue image isn’t anything special. Giving her a tad more power in the rescue department while gutting her kiting skills down.
- The image can now only block basic attacks. Also, it cannot receive damage from anything other than a basic attack.
- The rescue image will automatically block the attack even if Journalist is attacked, as long as she is within 3m of a Rocket chair.

In the fast-paced world of stock trading and investment, savvy market participants are constantly scanning the horizon for lucrative opportunities hidden within market fluctuations. These periods of volatility can present a unique window for astute investors to capitalize on potential bargains.
For this article, let's turn our attention to a selection of four penny stocks that have recently encountered a temporary downturn. However, beneath the surface lies an intriguing narrative of resilience and potential resurgence, capturing the attention of shrewd investors seeking hidden gems in the market.
EPAZZ INC. (OTC: EPAZ)
The first company with the potential for a bounce play is Epazz, Inc. (OTC:EPAZ). EPAZ is a mission-critical provider of drone technology, blockchain mobile apps, and cloud-based business software solutions.
Throughout this spring, EPAZ and their spinoff company, ZenaDrone, have been making significant strides with their flagship product, the ZenaDrone 1000. This advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has garnered substantial interest from various sectors, positioning Epazz as a rising stock in the industry.
In March 2023, ZenaDrone, Inc., received a letter of support from the U.S. Air Force, solidifying the drone's potential for drone cargo delivery, including critical blood transport. The U.S. Air Force invited ZenaDrone to conduct tests at an overseas base under battlefield conditions, showcasing the drone's capabilities in a military environment. This milestone not only attracted attention from the U.S. Air Force but also caught the interest of the U.S. Army.
The successful presentation of the ZenaDrone 1000 at the AERO General Aviation Convention in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in April further bolstered its reputation. This exposure resulted in multiple scheduled demonstrations with NATO partner countries, law enforcement departments, and a prominent German rail line. In addition, ZenaDrone's engagement with German UAV regulators for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations also demonstrates the company's commitment to staying ahead of industry standards and expanding its market reach.
In another update, EPAZ announced a meeting with Ossian Smyth, minister of state at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform of Ireland, at ZenaDrone's offices in Dublin. ZenaDrone is currently in negotiations with a financing institution for a deal to purchase up to 100 ZenaDrone 1000s, paving the way for drone-as-a-service operations in Ireland, which could prove to be a lucrative opportunity for the company.
Something that could help with a rebound is that EPAZ is not only focused on the drone technology itself but also on key supporting components. The company has been actively filing patents for its artificial intelligence (AI)-based drone technology, with two patents already granted and two others under review with the US Patent Office.
In line with their commitment to innovative technologies, EPAZ recently formed Galaxy Batteries Inc., a subsidiary dedicated to housing their battery technology intellectual property. The company's high-powered battery solutions are essential for running specialized devices and aircraft. EPAZ is evaluating opportunities to monetize these technologies and provide additional value to the company.
Epazz's strategic updates this spring, including securing military interest, expanding international partnerships, and advancing patent filings, could make them a compelling investment prospect.
As EPAZ continues to develop and commercialize cutting-edge drone technology and battery solutions, investors may want to keep an eye on Epazz, Inc. (OTC: EPAZ) for potential opportunities within the ever-growing drone industry.
GALAXY NEXT GENERATION (OTC: GAXY)
GAXY is a leading provider of interactive learning technology solutions and school communication platforms. With over 22 resellers across the United States, the company serves the commercial and educational markets. The K-12 education segment accounts for nearly 90% of Galaxy's sales.
Latest Contract Win on June 6: Galaxy recently secured a significant contract worth a minimum of $200,000 from a prominent school district in Northeast Ohio. The contract involves supplying G2 Bell, Paging, Intercom, and Clock (BPIC) hardware, along with G2 Communicator software, to five schools within the district. Implementation is expected to take place over the next few weeks, marking a promising growth opportunity for Galaxy.
Q3 FY 2023 Earnings Highlights from June 1: In its recent earnings report for Q3 FY 2023, Galaxy showcased progress. Revenues climbed quarter over quarter, rising from approximately $430,000 in the three months ending December 2022 to around $657,000 in the three months ending March 2023. Notably, G&A expenses decreased from roughly $1.5 million to approximately $670,000, resulting in a significant improvement in net loss.
Strategic Partnerships Fuel Growth: Galaxy's recent partnerships with major audiovisual (AV) dealers have been instrumental in driving sales growth. With a pipeline exceeding $5 million and several upcoming opportunities, Galaxy is capitalizing on their expanded product portfolio. The company expects this shift towards higher-margin products to substantially improve profit margins and contribute to the company's performance.
ASIA BROADBAND INC. (OTC: AABB)
AABB is a resource company focused on producing and selling precious and base metals primarily in Asian markets. AABB is focused on providing an efficient metal supply from Mexico to Asian clients.
In addition, AABB has also ventured into digital assets, introducing AABBG, a gold-backed cryptocurrency, and proprietary platforms such as AABBExchange and
PayAABB.com.
Yesterday, AABB provided an update on its operations. The company successfully verified shipments of processing equipment for its new facility in Mexico, which is set to enhance processing throughput while minimizing production costs. With an exclusive agreement to purchase a significant gold and silver ore stockpile worth over $800 million, AABB demonstrates its commitment to strategic expansion and increasing physical gold holdings.
The initial processing capacity of 200 tons per day, expected to generate over $11 million in annual revenue, is just the beginning, as AABB plans to expand the capacity fivefold to 1,000 tpd once the initial level is consistently at full capacity.
This state-of-the-art plant, equipped with advanced mining equipment automation, aims to maximize metal extraction while minimizing production costs.
AABB's strategic acquisition of the large-scale gold and silver ore stockpile in Las Jimenez, Etzatlan, Jalisco, Mexico, presents a potential high-yield asset addition. The new processing facility, located in close proximity to the ore stockpile and the AABB Buenavista mining warehouse, is expected to bolster revenue generation and pave the way for further expansion.
Overall, Asia Broadband Inc.'s recent progress, including the verification of equipment shipments, exclusive purchase rights to a substantial gold and silver ore stockpile, and the development of an advanced processing facility, could indicate a positive trajectory for the company.
HUMBL, INC. (OTCQB: HMBL)
At the end of May, HMBL took significant steps to strengthen its position and drive shareholder value. The company announced an extension of the conversion limitations on its Series B preferred stock, signaling its commitment to reducing dilution and securing investor interests.
Under the revised terms, Series B holders are restricted from converting any shares between June 2023 and September 2023. From October 2023 to June 2024, conversions will be limited to 500 shares per month, and from July 2024 to December 2024, the limit will increase to 1,000 shares per month. These measures aim to streamline the company's restructuring plan, which includes consolidating and retiring existing debt.
Additionally, HUMBL announced it has entered into a marketing partnership with the Swish Foundation, a renowned 501(c)3 organization, and the Swish Pro-Am Summer League. As part of this collaboration, the HUMBL logo will be prominently displayed on jerseys and courts during Swish Pro-Am games. The partnership extends to merchandise, which will be verified and commemorated on the BLOCKS Registry for enhanced tracking and verification.
This strategic alliance not only opens avenues for increased brand exposure but also presents opportunities for fan engagement. Swish Pro-Am athletes and teams will connect with fans through verified profiles on HUMBL's social media platform, catering to a global audience across 130+ countries. HUMBL will further leverage its digital wallet, search engine, and verified social media to activate sponsorships and offer authenticated, signed merchandise from the league during the 2023 Pro-Am Summer season.
The Swish Pro-Am Competition, set to begin on June 22, 2023, at Lincoln High School Gym in San Diego, promises an exciting showcase of talent and entertainment. HUMBL CEO Brian Foote expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, recognizing the growth potential and enhanced fan experiences this collaboration brings.
With these recent developments, HUMBL demonstrates its commitment to driving shareholder value and expanding its presence in the sports and digital content spaces. The company's efforts to reduce dilution and establish strategic partnerships contribute to its potential for a significant bounce in investor interest.
