How to get a Meltan Mystery Box for free?
  • Anyone can get the Meltan Mystery Box for free without an Nintendo Switch. Do not pay money to get the box because you will need to give your Username or Email Address with Password in order for someone to perform the service. Follow the infographics or picture about on how to do it.
  • If you are stuck, you can YouTube a video on how to do the process. Make sure you go to the official Nintendo website as stated in the infographics above.
  • The Pokemon Home app is slow, so you should wait for the app to process your login.
  • You can pair your Pokemon Home account to multiple Pokemon Go accounts, but there is a daily transfer limit.
  • You can make multiple Home accounts too. You must write down the birthday date used to create the accounts because you will need it when you want to use the forgot password option. This is the fastest way to change your old password to a new one.

Connecting Scarlet and Violet to your Pokémon Go account

Important to note: Scarlet and Violet Update (ver. 1.2.0) is required for the option to connect to Go via Poké Portal to appear in Mystery Gifts. The Mystery Gift feature becomes available after you reach the first Pokémon Center in Los Platos.
In the Pokémon GO app:
  1. Open the menu by tapping the Poke Ball in the bottom-center part of the field screen.
  2. Tap Settings in the top right.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Connected Devices and Services, then tap Nintendo Switch.
  4. Tap Connect to Nintendo Switch.
In the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games:

Send a Postcard from Pokémon GO to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet

Important to note: Only one Pokémon GO account may be linked per day, and an account cannot send more than one Postcard in a day. Furthermore, a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet save file may not receive the same Postcard more than once.
In the Pokémon GO app:
  1. Tap the Trainer icon in the bottom-left part of the screen.
  2. Open the Postcard Book.
  3. Choose the Postcard you want to send, then select Send to Pokémon Scarlet or Send to Pokémon Violet.
In the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games:
  1. Press the X Button to open the menu.
  2. Select Poke Portal, then select Mystery Gift.
  3. Select Connect to Pokémon GO.

FAQs

How can I get all the patterns if I don't play Pokémon GO?
Currently the only way to get all patterns is by transferring postcards from Pogo and catching them in your own game, trading with someone who has them, or joining someone else's Union Circle while they have them spawning in their game. Later when Pokémon Home becomes compatible with Scarlet and Violet, you will be able to import them from there (they can originate from Pokémon Go, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Pokémon X and Y).

Where do I find the new Scatterbug/Spewpa/Vivillons in-game?
The new forms spawn in areas where the pokémon are naturally found.
You cannot send Pokémon from Pokémon GO directly to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet.

Can I breed all the different forms?
No, you cannot breed these unique forms, they can only be caught in the wild. Scatterbug hatched while a postcard is active will always hatch as the Fancy form.

Do I need an Internet connection to send postcards to Scarlet/Violet?
Yes, an internet connection is required to connect both devices and send postcards.

How long do the vivillon patterns last in-game?
Once 24 real-world hours have passed since you received a Postcard, the Vivillon that appear in your game will once more have the Fancy Pattern (the pattern that usually appears in the Paldea region). Changing the time and date of the Nintendo Switch system may end the effect prematurely.

Do I need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to connect or send postcards?
No, however you will need to link your game save to a Nintendo account to connect to the internet, which is free to make.

Here are my tips to maybe lower some risk:
  • To shundo hunt (shiny 100 iv), I strongly recommend you sort the Pokemon by distance or limit distance to 5 km in PGSharp. For iPogo, you might need to do the same. Use the "walk to" option instead of "teleport to". Do not hold the Pokemon in the catch screen and wait for the cooldown timer. It is normal for the Pokemon to disappear if you did not get there in time then you just go to the need one in the feed. Remember to stay in same city.
  • To PvP stats hunt, you must go to an area that is not weather boosted (meaning not rainy or windy) in order to get the rank 1 PvP stats for Slowking from pvpoke .com.

Where to find weather boosted areas?
Pgsharp and iPogo may experience server problems!
A lot of non-cheaters do actually gamble and use these apps during an event to try to get the most XP, candies, Stardust, and/or eggs hatched possible during the event hours. These two apps made spoofing possible on all Android devices. Since it is very easy to setup, everyone is going to use them.
With Pgsharp, it is more common with them because they were the first to make a 3rd party modified app for Android. The free users have to wait in a line before they can join the server. Paid users can skip the line and join instantly.
  • If a lot of free users are trying to use Pgsharp, the wait time can be anywhere from a minute to a several hours. You have to try again at a different timezone. You could also buy a paid key.
  • If your load screen gets stops at 50%, you must try again later.
  • It is also possible for Pgsharp's server to crash. If this happens, no one, including paid users, can play the game. Your alternative app is to use iPogo.
With iPogo, I rarely see people complain about server downtime. They are currently beta testing their app, so it means all the features are free to use. Since they are best testing, this might not work on all Android devices. You may experience bugs and crashes. If you have a problem, you must report it to iPogo Discord group.

is from a different country and likes pinning your gift before Scatterbug is added to the game?
I made a friend from Leekduck’s Raid now page almost a year ago. We send/open gifts with sticker daily, and later on I noticed that every time I send a gift which from a pokestop that I haven’t sent her before, she pins the gift. Then, I always send her gift from a new stop and she started to do the same thing, sending me gift from a new stop almost every time. She’s from Japan and I’m in Canada. I like pinning her gifts too.
When I go to a new place, I will clear my gift inventory to make sure I have new gifts to send her.
I wonder if anyone has similar stories?

What is a nest?
  • A nest is an area or park that has increased spawns of a specific Pokemon. This allows you to repeatedly catch them until you get a shiny or farm a lot of candies.
Does weather boost spawns?
  • Yes, weather does boost spawns making them appear more often.
  • If the weather changes, the Pokemon you are farming (repeatedly catching) will disappear or appear less often.
Special Events
  • Can increase spawns of Pokemon that do not nest like Shinx, Larvitar, Deino, Axew, Unown, and etc.
  • Can also mess up current nests, so you must wait for the event to end for the nest to stop showing event Pokemon.
What Pokemon are currently in and not in nests?
  • The picture above shows all the Pokemon that can spawn in a nest from now to Thursday, June 1, 2023.
  • If the Pokemon you want to farm is not in the picture, it means it does not nest.

Using a 3rd party modified app, joystick app, adventure sync app, or any kind of cheating app carries risk for a strike/ban. It does not matter which kind of Pokemon Go app (official or 3rd party modified) you use with your cheat, you will have a chance for a strike/ban. This is all dependent on what is being tracked in the anti-cheat behavior system. If you did not get a strike/ban back in 2022, you are considered lucky.

WARNING: There is currently a glitch that corrupts SV’s save data. Has only affected a really small number of people. (100 or so) but COULD be connected to Postcards. I’m currently stepping away from SV until it’s been patched, and the glitch confirmed. As said, no real knowledge of definitively how it happens, but if your GO account has trouble connecting or sending a specific card: STOP. Wishing everyone the best, and hope no one here gets affected.

Well, well, well. . . Looks like we’re potentially about to see a new wave of . . . “Fun.”
Does anyone know how the postcards work yet? According to the internal “news” notif sent out on PoGo today: “. . . the patterns of Vivillon that live in the Paldea Region will change based on the location listed on the postcard.”
. . . I really thought it would simply be an encounter egg or something, but if they change the Scatterbug in the area what does that mean!? Is there a timer? Do eggs hatched count? Can you use sandwiches alongside it to increase egg-hatches/shiny/encounter rates!?
This both makes me REALLY excited and SCARED about the possibility of shiny hunting ALL Vivillon patterns. . . These butterflies won’t ever let me be, will they? X’D
If it’s something alone the lines of what i hypothesise. . . Damn, time to start preparing and hunting for letters AGAIN. :’)

Wait, am dumb. I was so focused on crawling through my usual sources (leekduck, Serebii, etc) that I ignored what was right in front of me! The SV Website.
24 hours. That. . . Is beautiful. Im so ready.
Also: could it be postcards YOU received in go and saved!? Damn! That is SO doable! Hope I didn’t delete any important cards though. O ——————-
Okay: did some investigating, (aka gameplay, update is live!) results as follows:
  • Postcards STAY in your postcard book: so as long as you have ONE single postcard saved from all 18 regions, you are golden. :3 I might be wrong on this!?? Just noticed this text. Even though they stay, they might only be single use!?? Need to investigate more. UPDATE: I WAS wrong! Greyed out and you get this warning if you try to resend a postcard. Sadness. :’(
  • You connect locally to SV over the same Wi-Fi, and postcards are ones YOU saved: you don’t need to get other players to send you their postcard directly to SV or something, like I feared. :P
  • Regional Varient stays active for 24 hours and you can only activate a “non-Fancy” pattern once per day.
  • Eggs ALWAYS evolve into Fancy Vivillon. :( Even if you catch the new pattern (to use directly as the parent) and breed it during the “postcard effect” time.
  • However, all Vivillon AND Spewpa roaming in the wild, ARE the new pattern! If you catch a Scatterbug and evolve it, it’ll be your new temporary pattern too! (Pretty sure the data is internal, but will catch one Scatterbug to test if it’ll still evolve after “postcard effect” wears off tomorrow. ;3) Edit Checked, and yes, if you catch it desiring the postcard effect and evolve it later, will still be new pattern. :)
  • Haven’t tried sandwich hunting yet, but excited to! Not sure which will be easier to isolate yet: Vivillon or Scatterbug. I can see Combee/Vespaqueen being a problem, if you go Bug sandwich with Vivillon, but will test some things.
  • UPDATE: The “24 hours” is tied to In Game Time, NOT real time. So you can’t force an outbreak of the new pattern. Also: it breaks the game in interesting ways now, if you try changing switch time during a “postcard effect” period. First time it crashed for me, second it got the icon of a buizel outbreak stuck on my screen, when off the map. It rotated around my joystick lol. And Fancy comes back in the wild.
  • Dunno if this also affects the Postcard Connectivity cool-down, or if THAT IS in Real time. Checking would involve saving my game in that state, as it requires internet connection, so not testing it myself. ;3
