So I've spent, I kid you you not, five days, five f***ing days looking for these damn things. Nothing. I know there's the giant Quillbacks. I killed them once while on a different quest line. The Spines didn't drop. They have never respawned.
I consistently go to the same areas everyone says near the The Canyons, The Old Prison Road, and Nazire's, whatever the damn name is, Pass and every single area around them. They DON'T respawn. I know random Quillbacks can drop em, but at this point I've killed enough to put them on the endangered list and have 1 Spine to show for it.
I know there's also a store that'll sell them if you have the right connections perk. I have that perk. The store has NEVER had them in stock.
Can someone please tell me why this is happening, how to fix it, and if I just have to give up on this goddamn quest and just go for a different archetype. Please! I'm actually begging at this point. I've genuinely cried from pure anger at this and I'm not okay!

Looking for assistance/advice on upgrading the battery on this. I tried finding a battery through the Lenovo Service Bridge but the only one offered is the same 45Wh battery that's already in it. From what I understand a battery with 60Wh is a typical upgrade looking to extend battery life. I can find plenty of batteries on Amazon and whatnot for similar models under the same "IdeaPad Gaming 3" range, such as models like "15ACH6" but can't find anything for my "15ARH7". I've got my first (leopard) gecko and I'm trying to do everything right. I feed him different kinds of living insects, that I buy at any animal equipment shop. The maggots there are always in a fridge and the boxes are labeled with "store cold", but when I take them home and put them in my fridge they are dead the next morning. My fridge has a temperature of 7°C (~44° Fahrenheit) and I put them in the lower veggie drawer. Is that still too cold? What temperature should the fridge have? Should they even go in the fridge at all?

It's mid-way through the year, and by now most of us have noticed that things have changed dramatically around the way we get to immerse ourselves into the League of Legends universe. In the past, it was predominantly short stories and/or a handful of animatics. Now, Riot Forge has the privilege to help expand the world/lore of Runeterra by publishing independent games. We've already had four of the five announced games, with Song of Nunu said to be released in a few months' time.
So what is there to look forward to after they've come and gone? What might be in store for 2024 as well? Because at the risk of sounding ungrateful towards all the recent games we've had. It has dawned on me that there haven't been any hints or rumors of other projects soon to be announced. And yet 'story through games' is the status quo for us. We don't get to see any universe content at all unless it's in service of an entire game.
In the past, even during the lore drought, it was new champions that brought big or small amounts of new lore for us. But this year has only had one champ released (milio) and by 2024 new champion development rate is said to slow down even more. Not to forget that VGUs have been practically absent too. But new projects like games cannot be a reliable alternative, because they take years to produce and publish. Meanwhile, literal months will go by without new universe updates or lore content. And Riot Forge is seemingly about to release its entire catalog of games before the year is over. With the exception of maybe Project L, but even that isn't going to be a 'story-driven' platform!
So unless there ARE more things, silently in development, soon to be officially revealed. I don't care if it ends up being more games, comics, or other types of content. If not, then I think the rest of this year and 2024 will continue to be excruciatingly sparse.

Let me tell you about my current saga. All I wanted was to buy some books. I typed this out so I could review/post/give feedback everywhere and anywhere, but I thought you guys might get a kick out of it.
January 30th. I placed an order for some books, including a pre-order (to be released within a few days) with a well-known book company in my country, using their online store. All seems fine, delivery expected in two weeks. March. A month goes by, no sign of my books. I email their customer service email address and get told, “Sorry, your pre-order is delayed by a month. You should have received an email about this.” I tell them I didn’t receive anything, they respond with “This is unusual, we will investigate why this happened and get back to you.” I reply asking for an updated estimated shipping date. No response. April 1th April comes and I haven’t yet seen the red flags. The store has a massive online sale, so I excitedly order another pile of books, including another pre-order (to be released the following week). The MOMENT my confirmation email arrives, it’s immediately followed up with an email saying the pre-order #2 will be delayed a month. No idea why this information wasn’t on the website, as now I have to wait even longer for the books, but I want them at the cheaper price, so fine. At the same time, I realise I never got a response from the first order, so I email them again, asking for an update. No response. May 24th. I call one of the stores and ask about how to check up on orders. They tell me they are separate from the online store, and I have to call them or email them. The help centre are across the country with terrible opening hours, so I decided to send two more emails, one replying to the original email chain, one separate to their support email address. I ask for updates on all my orders and why I haven’t been getting a response.I receive an automated response to the second email, nothing to the first. May 29th. Fortunately, I get incredibly sick and take time off work. I called their help centre and asked to have both pre-orders removed from both orders, asking if this will now allow the orders to be shipped. They say yes, they will process the refunds now, and I’ll get an email confirmation in a few days saying the orders are shipped. May 30th. I got a reply to the 2nd email saying the pre-order for the second order is now delayed until July. They tell me they won’t ship my order until all the books in each order have arrived. I also realise that one of the books from the January order is no longer needed, as my partner purchased me the book months ago, forgetting about the orders at all. I, still sick and bedridden, call the help centre and ask to have this third book refunded as the order has not yet shipped. They tell me the two books I cancelled yesterday haven’t been cancelled at all, and my orders are both still sitting there waiting for them. They say there is nothing pending, no sign they were ever going to be taken off my order. He assures me he will cancel the books immediately. I get two emails, one from each other, saying my books are cancelled and a refund is on the way. Today, June 8th. I got my two parcels. I open them up, only to realise that the third book I cancelled is still here. I checked my emails and my bank, and it turns out the second person I spoke to forgot to cancel the third book, and I was never issued a cancellation or refund for it. Being unwell, I hadn’t even realised the error when I was reading the emails. There’s also no invoice in the boxes, which I find odd. I decide to call up the closest physical store (30mins away) and ask if I can simply bring the book in for a refund. I explain everything and he says he needs the invoice from the boxes. I tell him there isn’t one and he is baffled. All the orders come with an invoice. The confirmation email doesn’t even have an invoice number on it, just an order number, which doesn’t work for refunds. However, considering the whole saga up to this point, he tells me to give him all the details I have and he will chase it up with them on my behalf. He tells me he will try his luck with the help centre, as he can call them during their business hours, and get back to me in two days whether he hears anything or not. So this is where I currently sit. Missing the books I really wanted, with a book I don’t want, and having learnt a valuable lesson about not buying from their online store again.

Just wondering who scans the IRPs at everyone's store and how many scans do you usually get? I scan for my store (night crew) and can and have regularly scanned 7-800 holes that can be downstocked but, recently I keep getting told by management to skip most of the holes because they are shorthanded. I did give them two chances to be the home insurance company, however. The first time they were $1,000+ what other companies were quoting. Ended up speaking with Farmer's and got a great quote. Gave USAA the benefit of the doubt, called them again to tell them what Farmer's quoted, and USAA went up and doubled Farmer's! They stated it's their processes and claims responsiveness that goes above and beyond, but sounded like a sales tactic. Went with Farmer's. Started researching other banks and have found that most offer the same benefits, if not more, than USAA. Many offer direct deposit up to 2 days early, free ATM withdrawals (at certain ATMs but within close proximity to regular places I frequent), mobile check deposit, and easy cash deposit at local stores. My current cash deposit with USAA entails me giving cash to my girlfriend, her depositing it in her local credit union account, Venmo-ing me, and then waiting for the deposit. I never figured out an easy way to deposit cash with USAA. Their savings interest rates are absolutely shit as well. Regular savings account at .1% is a joke. I'll keep my CC with a tiny limit on it until they close it themselves for credit score purposes. ✌️
TL;DR: Leaving USAA due to high insurance rates, no extra benefits compared to other financial institutions, and horrible savings account interest rates.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I also previously had car insurance with them but called Geico and was quoted more than half off what I was paying USAA so I left them on the auto insurance side years ago. I now no longer own a vehicle due to my company providing one as a job benefit.

Recently I learned that a company named Night Media literally manages basically every single zoomer e-celebrity, including Hasan Piker, Neekolul, Dream and these guys. If you ever look at the YouTube trending tab, at least one of Night's 'talents' will be up there. Night Media is just a subsidiary, as Night, Inc. itself is valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars from venture capitalists and angel investors.
Who owns Night? The CEO of Night Media is this ashkenazi jewish man, Reed Duchscher, who formerly worked for NFL and then went on to be Dude Perfect's manager. The president of Night, Inc. is Ezra Cooperstein, who was previously the president of Fullscreen and Rooster Teeth, as well as Maker Studios, which is now a part of the Disney Digital Network (note: Disney acquired Maker in 2014, but did not merge them until 2017.) Ironically, neither of these guys are the real talent managers, as that position is for their 90+ employees, including Andrew Pelosi, a former higher-up at Influential.

All of this information is freely available, I literally just ran names off LinkedIn and read business articles. These are the people that control the media that entertain your children, silbings and almost every kid you know. They influence and shape their minds from an early age.

I know that there are a loooooooot of voices online from people that HATE rto and want to work fully remote, but I want to give the perspective of someone that thinks at least some RTO is good. Some background: Former Sr Developer, current people manager at Rainforest. The reasons that I like at least some RTO:

1. Prevents your work and non-work time from blending together. I see soooooooo many people that struggle to get off the computer during WFH. There's always one more email, one more line of code, one more Slack message, and next thing you know it's 9pm. I have noticed a very sharp decline in messages, cr's and other contributions (for example, I can see when you made edits in Quip) during the early morning/evening on days that we come into the office.
2. I know you're not paying attention in meetings during WFH. This is fine some of the time, but there were definitely some developers that I work with that could go months at a time during WFH without ever asking a question or saying anything in meetings outside of standup. Yes meetings suck and we should try to get rid of as many of them as possible, but design and operational reviews matter and having half the team always checked out does hurt us. I really don't want to have to enforce turning the camera on.
3. I think that a lot of developers get depressed and struggle with getting social interaction during WFH. This might be worse at Amazon because we have a ton of H1B holders that move here for the job and don't really know anyone in America outside of the office. Actually a few of the devs in my org have been coming in almost every day for over a year simply because they were going crazy from being alone all the time.
4. The freedom is nice but it can also be frustrating. I've had so many times when I need to get something reviewed or I need to ask someone a question and they don't respond back to me for hours or often until the next day. It slows things down so much. I've also spent so much fucking time begging developers to not skip meetings, to respond back to emails/messages on the same day, etc etc. Those types of tasks are just so much easier in the office.
5. Onboarding/mentoring junior devs and especially interns is much harder remotely. We had two fully remote interns and while we did give them both a return offer the devs that worked with them absolutely hated doing it remotely. Not a fun experience.

I get that some people do amazing work from home and I won't deny that WFH is better for a lot of heads down tasks. We had a senior developer push a massive, (imo) career defining project that got him a promotion to Principal during Covid/WFH. We also had several people really struggle during this time. To me I think that we need balance and 2 or 3 day RTO/WFH split does that.
