2023.06.11 00:12 Jina04 I'm so depressed now...

Hi, I don't know what to do now. I'm suffering with my IB. I'm in grade 11 now, so IB 1. Now, my IB 1 is going over. I only have final exam from next Wednesday. I was good at studying. In Korea, I was quite top students in grade in my middle school as I could go to high school for specific purpose of study. I was proud of myself that I did it by myself without any other private study help. After moving abroad because of my father's job, the situation totally changed. I couldn't follow up the class. I couldn't understand it during the class time, so I could ask a question to teacher, even I couldn't answer to the teachers' question anymore. Even though, I could cover them by using my extra time after school. So I could get high gpa as 4.00 , perfect score. So I believe that I'm adapting here, overcoming the problem. But after studying IB, I felt like I just fail it. IB course has much more contents to study and requires a lot of work to do like IA, EE or CAS. I couldn't focus on my study well with much time that I used to. I just attend school while still having trouble to understand it. Since I couldn't understand the contents, I have to study from the basic concept, and textbook questions, and then past papers and further materials. So.. there were so many things to do and I couldn't get them perfectly. My score falls. In 10th grade, I got overall average as 94. But after IB 1, I got 82 for first term, 78 for second term, and 80 for this last term. (Our school has 3 terms per year) Since my school has exam every week (not for all subjects, but rotated) I couldn't review the part that I lost or prepare forward. Now, I feel that I'm completely lost. Worst thing is that I already fail my physics, and math once each. For physics, which that I persue for major, I'd never get more than 80. Always got 60-something and sometimes more than 70. Can I go to university? Can I just apply for it? I'm so scared that I fail my life. My parents already gave me up. They are just focusing on my little brother.
Can anyone suggest me how to deal with this situation? Can I get some hope just for my IB Final?

2023.06.11 00:12 RuiSwagger I just feel so bad

So basically I am a closeted bi (some people at college know but not old high school friends or family), and lately I've been feeling so bad, cause I keep thinking how I hear my parents talking about gay or bi people, I've heard stuff like 'It would be the biggest heartbreak of my life if my son was gay' or my dad instantly switching the channel when something LGBT related appears on TV, same apply for my old friends I hear them say shit about gay ppl all the time, seeing them really discomfortable on the presence of a gay couple or smth like that. So I feel like I have some kind of need to keep this mask on that I am straight, even though I've been working on that in college, where a significant group of ppl know that I am bi. I dont know how to really solve, as even with them saying that kind of stuff I dont wanna lose these friends that I've had for so long, and specially my family, I am so afraid that they would react really badly and leave me or stop supporting me in a time where I am so dependent of them.
Im sorry for this, is just that these thoughts have been through my mind all the time, and that I wish I could be just as open as some of you guys, starting by maybe letting everyone know at college, not hiding it, as I do naturally when people ask my sexuality.
Happy pride month to you all btw...

2023.06.11 00:11 Personal-Elevator-88 Undergrad wondering if a T-14 law school with minimal debt is in the cards

Hi everyone,
Sorry in advance for the long post. TL;DR at the end!
I am an undergrad sophomore at a HYS school (I only include this wondering if this would give me a boost in law school applications, not to brag LOL). I currently have a 3.5 GPA from my last 2 years of college because of a disability that was finally diagnosed a year ago that I am still struggling to get treatment/accomodations for, depression, family problems, and forcing myself to do a difficult STEM major. I am planning on taking a year off to work, travel, and reevaluate my life choices before returning to finish my last 2 years of undergrad and hopefully switch majors and boost my GPA. Still, I don't think I'll be able to raise it beyond a 3.7, and that's being generous.
I love the humanities and social sciences, and have toyed with the idea of going to law school on and off and getting a JD PhD, as I love both humanities research and the prospect of doing public interest law and protecting marginalized people and my own communities which are under attack. However, I refuse to take on a crippling amount of debt. I am graduating undergrad debt-free, planning to do a one-year masters program (paid off by myself), and could fairly easily find a nicely paying corporate job given my school's name / resources and past internship experience.
I would only go to law school if I get into a top law school with a large scholarship. I am also okay with working for some time, earning a lumpsum of money, and reevaluating whether I want to go to law school some years down the line.
My question is, is it possible for me to get into a top law school with minimal debt given this GPA (maybe less than 20-30k total)? Am I better off just earning good money in corporate America and giving up on the work I would find much more fulfilling? And do people often go to law school in their late 20s or 30s?
TL;DR I am an undergrad sophomore at one of HYS with a 3.5 GPA because of disability/mental health issues. Could potentially raise to 3.65/3.7 but not much higher. I want to know if a top law school with minimal debt is still a possibility for me so I can decide whether to dedicate energy towards that or towards getting a well-paying career right after college. Or if there is a way to do both and keep both options open for myself?

2023.06.11 00:11 EQExpert Im 19 - I hate my current way of living and what i am doing in my professional life (apprenticeship as an electrician)

First of, I im from switzerland. We have 6 Years of elementary school, 3 years of "high school" and after that, most people will make an apprenticeship for another 3-4 years (depending on what you want to learn). I have decided to do an apprenticeship as an electrician, which will take 4 years. I still have 2 years left an it already hate it with a passion. I dont like the company where a work at at all (they treat me disrespectfully, they have zero patience and they don't offer me any kind of support during my apprentice). The job itself isnt as interesting and technical as i would like it to be. Most of the times, i am pretty bored, because the only thing i have to do is to drill holes, pull cables or I have to mount some lamps. My head feels pretty empty while i am doing stuff like this. looking back, i actually want to go to cantonal school and then study computer science. (6 years of cantonal school and then 3 years of study) only now it's too late. i don't know what i'm going to do after my apprenticeship, because i'm definitely not going to stay in this profession that i learned. For the possibility I have a second apprenticeship, which requires another 2 years, but I could retrain as a computer specialist. another possibility would be that I remain in this professional field, but I retrain as a building technician or smart home expert. This would offer me more of the computer stuff i like. This would be the easier way, but it would not be my dream. If I were to do a second apprenticeship, it would cost me a lot of money (around 12,000 swiss francs, which I have - but is a lot of money) but then I would be in the profession that I want (computer specialist) and definitely earn more money.
I am very much overwhelmed with the possibilies i have open after my apprenticeship, and i want some second opinions on what to do.

2023.06.11 00:11 Lordofthe305 CPWA Deception

CPWA Deception
The show opens with a moment of silence and a ten-bell salute for The late Iron Sheik.
The Iron Sheik 1942-2023
https://preview.redd.it/g1ebnfn9y75b1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e961d66521de1670340c07a9b54037e25452a79
We open with a video package highlighting Shelton Jordan winning the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones scheming to regain the gold. We then see highlights of Keith Yang's matches and the return of Logan Lemming. We are then shown highlights of the Super Junior Carnival tournament, more specifically, Rory Irvine and "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon's path to the finals. The video package ends with slowed-down clips of Keith Yang, Logan Lemming, LeJuan Jones, and Shelton Jordan, who raises the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship over his head.
Sticky Fingaz's "Man Up" plays in the arena as we see pyro go off for a few seconds, followed by cheering from the crowd.
Brian Kinsley: We welcome to CPWA Annihilation! We are coming to you live from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Brian Kinsley along with Anthony Harris and Sir Samuel Stewart, we have an action-packed pay-per-view that includes six championship matches, including the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as Shelton Jordan defends his title against Keith Yang, Logan Lemming, and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones.
Anthony Harris: Plus, we have the finals of the Super Junior Carnival tournament. I can't wait for that to go down.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It's definitely going to be a thriller of an event, and I think we may see some new champions.
Brian Kinsley: Let's get right to the action.
We cut to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Leo Arnaud's "Bulger's Dream" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Olympians, the team of Chip Day, Miles Orozco, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson.
Brian Kinsley: Devon Gatlin-Tyson looked like a would-be favorite to win the Super Junior Carnival tournament, but came up short against "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon in the semifinals.
Anthony Harris: Give Chip Day and Miles Orozco credit for helping DGT with those victories up to that point. I still believe he's going to be CPWA Cruiserweight Champion one day.
80s Synth Track Nightscapes plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, introducing first, from Los Angeles, the team of Mark Starr and Ricky Vice, StarrVice!
Brian Kinsley: Mark Starr and Ricky Vice competed in the Super Junior Carnival tournament, but it would be Ricky Vice who would face Devon Gatlin-Tyson in the quarterfinals and would lose thanks to the interference of the aforementioned Chip Day and Miles Orozco.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It really hurt Ricky's chances, but he wasn't the only one affected by The Olympians' number game.
M.O.P.'s "Fly N***a Hill F***a" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Their tag team partner, from Brooklyn, New York, he is one-half of the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, "The Hi-Fli Kid," Jerome Evans.

Brian Kinsley: "The Hi-Fli Kid" took on Devon Gatlin-Tyson in the first round of the Super Junior Carnival tournament and while it was a tremendous match, it would be soured by the interference of Day and Orozco.
Anthony Harris: Best believe all three competitors want some payback on Chip, Orozco, and DGT. Don't get it twisted, however, StarrVice may be teaming up with "The Hi-Fli Kid," but they also got their eyes on regaining the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships.
Match 1: The Olympians (Chip Day, Miles Orozco, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson) vs. StarrVice (Mark Starr and Ricky Vice) and "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans
You would think that an opening match like this one would get the crowd hyped for the rest of the event, but it felt underwhelming at times. While the story here was StarrVice and "The Hi-Fli Kid" looking to get a measure of revenge on Chip Day and Miles Orozco, neither competitor was looking sharp in the ring. Devon Gatlin-Tyson carried much of the match for his team, which was the only highlight for the Olympians. The action then became a spotfest, leading toward the end of the match, where DGT nailed Mark Starr with a Split-Second DDT to get the win for his team.
2 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kevin Meyers interviewing CPWA World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Jordan. Shelton says that he's tired of LeJuan Jones's mind games and wants to put him away for good. He also says that he welcomes a challenge from Logan Lemming and Keith Yang, both of whom he will also defeat tonight.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Television Championship.
Nu Breed's "Florida" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, accompanied by his alligator Sunshine, from the Sunshine State, he is the CPWA Television Champion, "Florida Man" Gary Strange
Brian Kinsley: The last time "Florida Man" Gary Strange held an open challenge for the CPWA Television Championship, he lost to The Mortician.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Only for him to regain it back a few days ago on Octane.
Anthony Harris: No thanks to Pretty Boy, who will defend the CPWA Hardcore Championship against The Mortician later on tonight.
Gary Strange enters the ring and takes the mic as Nu Breed's "Florida" stops playing.
Gary Strange: Well well well, Florida Man holds CPWA gold once again and looking to take on any challengers brave enough to challenge me. Come on, don't be shy. I'm ready for ya.
Yoshida Brothers' "Storm" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Kagoshima, Japan, he is Kenshiro Ishii.
Brian Kinsley: We haven't seen Kenshiro Ishii since High$takes and he looks more than ready to bring the fight.
Anthony Harris: Brotha looks jacked and he knows he means business.
Tego Calderon's "Mil Cosas" plays in the arena
Announcer: Finally, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, he is Ramon Vega!
Brian Kinsley: The last time we saw Ramon Vega, was back in January when he was teaming up with his brother Raymundo.
Sir Samuel Stewart: He took some time off to compete in his native Puerto Rico, but now he's back and looking to win some gold.
Match 2: CPWA Television Championship: "Florida Man" Gary Strange vs. Kenshiro Ishii vs. Ramon Vega
A solid yet rough-around-the-edges kind of match. There was lots of brawling from all three competitors, along with some technical wrestling from Ramon. It looked like Ramon Vega was close to winning the CPWA Television Championship, but "Florida Man" managed to prevent the three count from occurring. Gary Strange continued fighting back, leading to him hitting a WTF (Welcome To Florida) on Vega to get the three count and to retain the CPWA Television Championship.
3 out of 5 stars
We cut to the locker room area and we see "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones discussing strategy with Brother Julius about how to deal with Shelton Jordan, Keith Yang, and possibly Logan Lemming. Brother Julius tells LeJuan to focus more on his match and that he will deal with the other competitors tonight. LeJuan nods and Brother Julius sets out to put his plans in motion.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Johann Sebastian Bach's Air on G String plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from the posh hills of the Hamptons, she is Priscilla Pierce.
Brian Kinsley: Priscilla Pierce won big a few days ago on Octane in tag team action with help from "The Dominican She-Devil," Ivy Fernandez.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Priscilla Pierce looks to be on the fast track to challenging for the CPWA Women's International Championship.
DaniLeigh Ft. Fivio Foreign "Dominican Mami" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And her tag team partner, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she is "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
Brian Kinsley: "The Dominican She-Devil" may have won gold in Puerto Rico, but word has it that she may challenge for the CPWA Women's Championship.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It could be a possibility, but let's see what happens.
GACKT's "Redemption" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, from Osaka, Japan, she is the CPWA Women's International Champion, Shiori Yoshimura.
Brian Kinsley: Shiori Yoshimura gained a victory over Priscilla Pierce two weeks ago on Octane, but lost in tag team action a few days ago. She's looking to get a measure of revenge.
Anthony Harris: Shiori's going to be a fighting champion for CPWA, and I know she's got to be fuming after that loss.
Estrada de Estrela plays in the arena
Announcer: Her tag team partner, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, she is the CPWA Women's Champion, Cristina Moreira.
Brian Kinsley: Cristina Moreira has been kept busy ever since winning the CPWA Women's Championship. She's been on a media whirlwind in her native Brazil, promoting CPWA.
Anthony Harris: I would love to do a show in Brazil. To all our Brazilian fans out there, CPWA sees you!
Match 3: Shiori Yoshimura and Cristina Moreira vs. Priscilla Pierce and "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
Another solid match that saw some technical wrestling on display. While Cristina, Priscilla, and "The Dominican She-Devil" appear to be improving with their technical wrestling skills, Shiori was leagues ahead of them. Shiori controlled much of the match, even going as far as to utilize some power attacks. The match ended with Shiori hitting a Spinning Bison Bomb on Priscilla to get the win.
3 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kimberly Reynolds interviewing Rory Irvine. Rory says that nobody believed in him when he decided to enter the Super Junior Carnival tournament and that he could go all the way. Rory says that he's made believers out of those who have followed his journey through the tournament and knows that he is going to become the inaugural Super Junior Carnival Tournament winner and challenge for the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Blood Brothers' "Replica" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Commonwealth, the team of Owen Benoit-Jericho and the CPWA Cruiserweight Champion Kelly Lawton!
Brian Kinsley: Both Owen Benoit-Jericho and Kelly Lawton entered the Super Junior Carnival tournament and while OBJ managed to go further than Lawton, neither one was able to reach the grand finals.
Sir Samuel Stewart: I know Kelly Lawton has to be feeling some of type way about that loss. Let's hope he can redeem himself should Rory Irvine win the whole thing.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the team of Steve and Adam, the Odenkirks!
Brian Kinsley: Much like OBJ and Lawton, Steve and Adam Odenkirk also competed in the Super Junior Carnival tournament. Steve managed to reach the quarterfinals, while younger brother Adam lost in the first round.
Anthony Harris: The Odenkirk brothers look like they got something to prove and they're not looking to hold back anything.
Match 4: The Commonwealth (Kelly Lawton and Owen Benoit-Jericho) vs. The Odenkirks (Steve and Adam Odenkirk)
A solid tag team match that had a little something of everything: Technical wrestling, brawling, MMA, and high-flying. It was an evenly fought match until the Commonwealth uses underhanded tactics to keep the advantage in their favor, isolating Adam from Steve. Anytime Adam would tag in Steve, the referee did not see it. Eventually, Steve got the tag and was a house of fire, knocking down Lawton and OBJ. Steve looked to have the match won with a 450 Splash but "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams interfered on behalf of the Commonwealth, pushing Steve off the top rope. This allowed Lawton to hit the Outback Cutter on Steve to get the win for his team.
4 out of 5 stars.
We get a one-minute video package hyping up Pretty Boy and his path of destruction. The hype package ends and we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
An organ cover to Runaway Casket plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Resting Peace Funeral Home, he is The Mortician!
Brian Kinsley: The Mortician lost the CPWA Television Championship, thanks to Pretty Boy, who maniacally beat the living daylights out of him.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Mortician knows what it takes to win the CPWA Hardcore Championship, but against Pretty Boy, I don't know.
The arena lights go out and we hear an ominous female voice.
Ominous Female Voice: Pretty Boy...oh Pretty Boy...punish...them...all!
Glitter Wasteland's "Cold War (Nightcrawler Remix)" plays in the arena as blue and red lighting fill the arena.
Announcer: And his opponent, he is the CPWA Hardcore Champion Pretty Boy!
Brian Kinsley: Pretty Boy has been on a rampage since winning the CPWA Hardcore Championship, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
Anthony Harris: That man is cold-hearted. I don't think I've ever seen him blink once.
Match 5: CPWA Hardcore Championship: Pretty Boy (c) vs. The Mortician
If you wanted a balls-to-the-wall, knock-down, drag-out hardcore match, this one was it! The Mortician and Pretty Boy wasted no time beating the living hell out of each other, but Pretty Boy gained the upper hand. Pretty Boy threw the Mortician around like a rag doll at times, followed by beating him with clotheslines and rainmakers. The Mortician started to fight back, using steel chairs, lead pipes, and even the ring bell on Pretty Boy. The Mortician looked to have made some dents in Pretty Boy, causing him to bleed, but it only made Pretty Boy aggressive as he battered the Mortician, leading to a chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver for the win.
4 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Pretty Boy continued beating the Mortician. Suddenly, Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" (Elliot Loud version) plays in the arena
Brian Kinsley: IT'S MANGOD!!!
Mangod rushed the ring and started beating up Pretty Boy, causing him to flee. Mangod then headbutts the turnbuckles as the crowd cheers wildly. Mangod helps the Mortician to his feet, raising his hand to the crowd's approval.
***Intermission***
We cut back from intermission and we see Brother Julius walking down a hallway. He stops when Monroe Storm approaches him. Monroe tells Brother Julius that Logan Lemming has his sights on the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as well and will stop at nothing to get it. Brother Julius warns Monroe that Logan better not cross "The Number One Pick" or he knows what's good for him. Monroe scoffs and walks away. Brother Julius shakes his head and does the same.
we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA International Championship.
The Wellerman plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Commonwealth, from Auckland, New Zealand, Jason Black
Brian Kinsley: We haven't seen Jason Black in a long time, and that's because he's been touring between Japan and his native New Zealand.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Kiwi looks like he's poised to bring home some gold to The Commonwealth.
The March of Death theme plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Guadalajara, Mexico, this is El Colibri
Brian Kinsley: El Colibri was one of the favorites to win the Super Junior Carnival, but it wasn't meant to be as he lost in the first round to "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon.
Anthony Harris: It was quite a shock, but let's see if he can rebound and get back to his winning ways.
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's "The Creator" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, from Miami, Florida, he is the CPWA International Champion, Deron "Ron" Jordan.
Brian Kinsley: Deron "Ron" Jordan has been helping his brothers in their feud against "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones, but here, he's looking to defend his CPWA International Championship.
Anthony Harris: Let's hope he can retain it to keep more gold in the family.
Match 6: CPWA International Championship: Deron "Ron" Jordan (c) vs. Jason Black vs. El Colibri
This match wasn't good, but it certainly wasn't bad either. It was all over the place at times as there were some brawling mixed with some high-flying from Ron and El Colibri. Jason Black had control of the match, beating down El Colibri, but Ron prevented any chance of a three-count from happening. Both Ron and El Colibri double-teamed Jason Black, but they would turn their attention to attacking each other. El Colibri had Ron in the La Mistica, but Jason Black broke the hold. With Ron out of the way, this allowed Jason to hit the Blackout on El Colibri for the win and become the new CPWA International Champion.
2 out of 5 stars.
We get a one-minute video package hyping up The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy) and their dominance over the Women's Tag Team Division. The hype package ends and we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championships.
"Hitman" plays in the arena
Announcer: And their opponents, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, they are the team of Crystal and Tracy, the Hart Sisters.
Brian Kinsley: We are in Canada, and the Hart Sisters are getting a huge ovation.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Hart Sisters look to win big here tonight, and I have a feeling that they will.
Eminem's "Venom" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, they are the CPWA Women's Tag Team Champions, Carnage Ayano and La Venena.
Brian Kinsley: Carnage Ayano and La Venena are a dangerous combination of Japanese Strong Style wrestling and Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling.
Anthony Harris: These ladies are psychotic in the ring. I've seen their matches in Japan and Mexico, so I know what they can do.
Match 7: CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship: La Venena and Carnage Ayano (c) vs. The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy)
A somewhat decent match that had some great moments but at times, it was a botchfest, which was unusual for both teams. The Hart Sisters had control of the match, but Venena and Ayano started making a comeback. Crystal Hart managed to win the match for her team, placing Ayano in a sharpshooter to give her team victory and regain the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship.
2 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kevin Meyers interviewing Keith Yang on his title match. Keith says that he hopes that the third time is the charm and that he will become the new CPWA World Heavyweight Champion.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the CPWA Tag Team Championship.
GACKT's "Redemption" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, from Osaka, Japan, the team of Ryota and Daigo Yoshimura
Blake Shelton's "Good Ole Boys" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from the great state of Tennessee, Roy and Zechariah, the Newton Boys.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they are the CPWA Tag Team Champions, William and Jake, the Odenkirks!
Match 8: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match for the CPWA Tag Team Championship: The Odenkirks (William and Jake) (c) vs. Ryota and Daigo Yoshimura vs. The Newton Boys (Roy and Zechariah)
This was a chaotic match with tons of high spots and lots of brawling. At one point in the match, Jake Odenkirk and Zechariah Newton climbed atop the ladder and beat each other with forearms and fists, leading to both men crashing through a table. This was followed up by a 450 Frog Splash combo from Daigo Yoshimura. Roy Newton saw an opportunity to reach for the gold, only for Ryota Yoshimura to powerbomb him off the ladder and onto some chairs. Unbeknownst to Ryota, William climbed atop the ladder and retrieved the CPWA Tag Team Championships.
2 out of 5 stars.

We get a three-minute hype package about the Super Junior Carnival tournament, along with highlights featuring Rory Irvine and "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon. The hype package ends with clips of Rory Irvine and Han Sang-Hoon staring at each other.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is the grand finals of the CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament.
The O'Reillys and Paddyhats' "Barrels of Whiskey" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Dublin, Ireland, he is Rory Irvine.
Brian Kinsley: If you were to tell anyone that a young, plucky, yet scrappy wrestler from the Emerald Isle would find himself in the grand finals of the Super Junior Carnival Tournament, after going through numerous trials and battles, no one would've believed it, but here we are.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Young Rory Irvine has been waiting for such an opportunity and he's going to make the best of it.
Rain's "It's Raining" begins to play in the arena
Announcer: And his opponent, from Seoul, South Korea, he is one half of the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon!
Brian Kinsley: "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon blazed a path of his own throughout the Super Junior Carnival Tournament, defeating the likes of El Colibri, Steve Odenkirk, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson. Could he win it all?
Anthony Harris: He may, but also keep in mind that he's also CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champion with "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans. How will that all turnout?
Match 9: CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament: Finals: Rory Irvine vs. "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon
This match was the highlight of the event and the best match overall. Rory had the early advantage, but "The Korean Idol" came fighting back. Rory hit the Celtic Crucifix Drop on Han, only to get a 2 count. Rory look to put the match away but Kelly Lawton, Owen Benoit-Jericho, and Mary Addams provided distractions toward the referee and jumped Rory. Han would get himself involved, chasing off Lawton, Addams, and OBJ, only to be met with a superkick from Chip Day and Miles Orozco, plus a split-second DDT from Devon Gatlin-Tyson. "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans, along with StarrVice rushed to the ring and fought The Olympians. It was complete chaos as everyone began fighting on the outside. Rory went for the Celtic Crucifix Drop, only for Han to reverse it into a falcon arrow, leading to the K-Pop Drop for the victory becoming the inaugural CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament winner.
4 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Han Sang-Hoon extended his hand to Rory for a handshake. Rory accepted the handshake as both competitors celebrated together. Although Han won the tournament, the crowd cheered loudly for Rory, chanting his name.

The Roots' "Do You Want More" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, introducing first, representing The Jordan family, from Miami, Florida, he is the CPWA World Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Jordan.
Match 10: CPWA World Heavyweight Championship: Shelton Jordan (c) vs. Keith Yang vs. "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones vs. Logan Lemming
There was lots of action going on in this fatal four-way. Everyone seemed evenly matched at first, but Logan Lemming took control of the match, suplexing anyone that got in his way. Not to be outdone, Shelton Jordan performed several Exploder Suplexes on each of his opponents. Although Keith Yang got in some offense, he would be taken out by Ivan Markov. This allowed Logan Lemming and LeJuan to double-team Shelton Jordan. It looked like the double team was working, but both competitors weren't going to allow the other to get the pin. This led to Logan and LeJuan fighting each other. Logan was about to hit LeJuan with Logan's Run, but the Soldiers of Misfortune (General Wade and Guerrilla God) prevented that from happening, saving LeJuan from any harm. The Soldiers of Misfortune double power-bombed Logan and then Shelton, leading to LeJuan to hit a Game Winner on both Logan and Shelton to get the win and regain the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship.
4 out of 5 stars.
LeJuan Jones is presented with the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as the pyro goes off and the crowd jeers and boos. LeJuan Jones and Brother Julius celebrate as Deception fades to black.

2023.06.11 00:11 looble2 Windows 11 add device hangs

Hi guys, I'm 99% sure this has been asked before but... I thought I'd turn to the geniuses of reddit. Running windows 11 22H2 and I've just purchased a shiny new controller and usb bluetooth dongle When I try to connect it the "swift pair" dialog appears but does nothing. When I then try to go on the bluetooth + devices>devices> add device, I get the dialog box as expected asking me what I'm looking for but then when I select what type of device I want the entire settings app hangs.
This behaviour also occurs when the dongle has been fully uninstalled from the computer, and I have connected the controller directly to my phone perfectly which leads me to think this is a windows issue.
Troubleshooting steps tried so far: Disable and re-enable the dongle in device manager Install latest driver from TP-Link's website Install latest intel bluetooth driver software from intel website Ran windows repair from ISO (advice from microsoft support) Uninstalled and reinstalled the device drivers restarted bluetooth support service.
made sure bluetooth support service, bluetooth user service and device association service are running
ran sfw (this repaired a corrupted file associated with bluetooth) but after restart no difference
tried booting into safe mode but the settings app closed immediately when I tried to open bluetooth (might have been my error though I'm not hugely familiar with safe mode)
moved dongle between various usb ports including USB 2 and USB 3
MANY restarts of my PC I've also checked the event log and all I get is an error that explorer.exe stopped communicating due to application hang. and Windows cannot store Bluetooth authentication codes (link keys) on the local adapter. Bluetooth keyboards might not work in the system BIOS during start-up.
Anyone know anything I might have missed? I would Really rather avoid a clean re-install

2023.06.11 00:11 IonicBreezeMachine Making Contact/Joey (1984) review

Emmerich tries to copy Spielberg only without the substance
10 June 2023
Set in Virginia Beach, 9-year-old Joey Collins (Joshua Morrell) and his mother Laura (Eva Kryll) are morning the loss of Joey's father. One night unexplained phenomena start happening when many of Joey's toys start moving and turning on by themselves including a toy telephone that Joey comes to believe allows him to speak to his deceased father. Other kids at school including bully Bernie (Matthias Kraus) mock Joey for this, and both Laura and Joey's Teacher Martin (Jan Zierold) show concern which is only exacerbated by Joey displaying telekinetic abilities. As time goes on, a malevolent entity in the form of a ventriloquist Dummy (Jack Angel) begins confronting Joey and threatens Joey's mother if he keeps using the toy phone which the Dummy claims isn't his father on the other end.
Joey (retitled Making Contact for the Roger Corman release) is the second film from director Roland Emmerich. After having seen and been impressed with Steven Spielberg's E. T. in 1982, Emmerich decided his next film would be a horror film that incorporated many of the techniques seen in 80s American blockbusters of the Spielbergian mold. Despite being a German production, the film was shot in English as Emmerich wanted to target an international audience after his first film The Noah's Ark Principle hadn't been a big success at the German box office. Emmerich recruited most of the actors from U. S. military bases in Germany, and used his contacts to friends in the United States, who helped him with suggestions and props, to create the American look of the film. The effects work in Joey was done by Hubert Bartholomae, with whom Emmerich had collaborated on The Noah's Ark Principle, who had to build up a new studio to experiment with different ways of creating the effects needed for the film. For a low budget production of 3.5 million Deutsch Marks, Roland Emmerich certainly captures the look and feel of 80s Spielberg productions except for the script which is a confusing hodgepodge of ideas that aren't fully formed.
In terms of the effects work and look of the film, Emmerich certainly has created a film that encompasses everything you remember about that whimsical 80s Spielbergian style of filmmaking seen in Close Encounters, E. T. and its various contemporaries. The cast not being made of professional actors (and you can certainly tell from some of them) does make it difficult to be sucked into this film storywise, but even good actors would have a hard time selling the material here. According to Roland Emmerich's biography by Jo Muller, Emmerich wasn't all that concerned with the actual story in the film so much as the look and effects work (and you can tell). While on a purely visual level there's a lot to appreciate in the film, the movie doesn't have any real substance to it and is just a loose assortment of ideas crudely daisy chained into a narrative. Despite Emmerich allegedly being inspired by E. T., Joey plays more like a weird mixture of Poltergeist, Carrie, and the Anthony Hopkins horror film Magic. The actual "why" as to what's happening is never established and despite the Dummy routinely saying the thing on the other side of the phone isn't Joey's father we're never given any idea as to what it is on the other side of the phone and the Dummy keeps acting stereotypically evil and cackling so there's no clear motivation for what's going on. The adult characters also take what's going on a little too well to the point that this feels like someone made a Zucker Abrahams Zucker type parody of Spielbergian blockbusters in the vein of Airplane! Or Top Secret but for some reason cut out all the jokes and played it straight.
I guess in terms of weird 80s timecapsules of these kinds of filmmaking tropes, there is a certain novelty to seeing them portrayed in a funhouse mirror image of themselves by way of Emmerich's complete lack of subtlety (complete with some stuff that would be a copyright nightmare with all the Star Wars, Disney, and other licensed merch that adorns the sets). But the story's such an unfocused mess portrayed by inexperienced actors that it does become a bit of a slog to sit through.

2023.06.11 00:11 Careless_Schedule149 I need advice her (f22) and me (m22)

Tl;dr I have an old girlfriend i haven’t talked to in 4 years, want to reconnect and have been dreaming about her the past 6 months and don’t know what to do.
Basically I had this girl that I dated freshman year of high-school then we broke up and became best friends a year later. We were best friends for 3 years during. This time she started dating my best friend. The ended breaking up cuz they were going to opposite sides of the country for college. She and I tho ended up at the same college. We also ended up hooking up like 2 weeks after we got there. I then proceeded to ghost her because one I felt bad for my other friend and 2 because I was trying to be like a every other college guy and thought I needed to get with as many girls as I could and that I shouldn’t have a girl friend during that time. Then I felt guilty about ghosting her and didn’t reach out when she reached out to be about 2 years ago. And I haven’t since cuz I continue to feel guilt and am not sure what will happen if we reconnect and I don’t want to hurt her again. like what if she changed and I just don’t like her anymore or maybe we might not be able to connect like we used to.
So Basically haven’t talked to her in almost 4 years now. We dated in early high school then we’re best friends the rest of high school till freshman year college we hooked up then I ghosted her for almost 4 years basically. I want to reconnect with her basically because I can’t stop thinking about her and I even dream about her somewhat often. But I keep thinking that we won’t be able to connect like we used to, that she won’t want to see me, that it might be always between us, or that I might have changed to much and she won’t like me . So I thought it would be a good idea to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet what they thought. I just don’t know what to do

2023.06.11 00:10 Whaleicecream Grades+Motivation:College w/Lexapro

I started taking Lexapro after the pandemic started and can’t help but notice a stark change in academic performance. I am not sure what to attribute this change to and reflect on if it was Lexapro or habits created/not followed because of the medication.
I went from a solid 4.0/4 of two years of college classes to a 3.3/4. I stopped taking Lexapro after concluding that there might be a correlation.
What’s been your experience as it relates to school?
I think it took away my motivation and sense of urgency and made me complacent with delinquency and missing deadlines. Some anxiety is good while in school. I regret not just taking medication for performance on tests like the adrenaline blockers instead of Lexapro which impacted everything else.

2023.06.11 00:09 xtr0n Anyone else find the Healthy Streets annoying?

Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon but I saw a sign about making more of the “Healthy Streets” permanent and it really pissed me off. There are so many neighborhoods without sidewalks and so many homeless people and it seems really unfair to take blocks with million dollar houses and yards and make them even more valuable with private streets. When schools were closed during COVID it 100% made sense to make more space for kids to play, but now it just seems like a giveaway to some of the most fortunate folks in the city. I walk by a ton of them in Wallingford and I only really ever see one that gets regular use. AITA? I guess this is a good time to burn karma on potentially unpopular opinions since Reddit might be in its death throes. :D

2023.06.11 00:09 No-Trust-7517 Not a bad trip but a very overwhelming one

So about 3 months ago i got really into psychedelics, and because the country i live in has very laxed laws concerning hallucinogens there are several websites and even little cornershops in the open where you can buy psychedelic mushrooms, although online orders are way safer since they don’t require showing your face and taking unnecessary risks.
And this is where my story started, i had saved about 200$ to buy a basically year long supply of magic mushrooms (4oz.) And waited two weeks for them to arrive, and honestly my first experiences were great, i was euphoric during all of them and had little to no side effects due to dehydration.
So being the idiot i was one night, before sleeping i thought it’d be a good idea to try and do some mushrooms just before bed, mind you i had done a lot of research before even ingesting the tiniest amount of psilocybin, so i knew that in general it would take 30min to one hour before i started to notice the effects.
However that night something felt different, i had measured about 3.5g of blue meanies on the scale since they’re aren’t very potent but i felt nothing even tough my tolerance had reseted.
23pm : i decided to get a bit more comfortable, i take my clothes pff and tried meditating a little to appease my little anxiety, but 30 minutes after that i made an incredibly stupid decision that anyone who’s tripped more than 3 times would never do : re dosing
Except this time, i hadn’t even bothered to use a scale, i just eyeballed the amount and basically boofed it but in my mouth. Looking back on it i think i know exactly what was going on, you see during the day before my friend had given me vyvanse, which helped calm me down before a tough national exam
So what i think happened is that since vyvanse is an opioid, it had either delayed or killed the effects even tough there was psilocybin in my system, which meant that as the vyvanse was wearing off i was at my peak of the trip…
So anyways back to the main story
At around midnight, i re dosed once again, and let me tell you what’s about to happen defied my sense of logic for a full 8 hours
The second the mushroom cap went into my stomach, my hands started to get extremely bright and wrinkly, so i decided to go to the bathroom and look at myself and surprise : my face was literally shifting trough time and becoming older and older until the cycle would reverse and I’d start getting younger, which to me was pretty cool, no panicking yet
But after a full minute of just gaping my mouth open in the mirror i was suddenly overtaken by a feeling of love, acceptance and humility, i was having visions in front of my eyes of me and my family and everyone i know hugging each other and telling ourselves that we cared. At this moment i went into my room, and laid down on the floor, i had no time to even think of what was happening but i was quick enough to text one of my friends whom i had tripped before of how much i valued our friendship while barely being able to form coherent sentences (might drop the screenshots)
After talking to my friend i basically closed my phone and sat down, only to be overtaken by a white pure light that irradiated love, and to be honest i thought i was gonna die, and i was ok with it.
After what felt like an eternity of ego death i had woken up, except my mind was split between me and a pair of shoes next to me, i could talk to it telepathically but i don’t really remember our conversation.
After this i looked around my room and literally all of my clothes had crazy Egyptian patterns on them and at this point i literally didn’t know who or what i was, my room became a dark prison and i kept looping trough space time, at some point my body folded onto itself and i lost all sensations keep in mind that i still wasn’t having a bad trip, i was confused but definitely not scared. Anyways i finally break out of this thought prison and went into the kitchen to drink some water, and at this point i also went to take a dump but I’m not sure wether i was hallucinating or actually pooping, anyways i go back to my room and start listening to music, it was so beautiful i cried like a baby, the music had a totally different meaning and the voices and the beats aligned themselves in a different way, and here’s the weirdest and final part of my trip, as im laying down i can’t sleep and i literally look out the window but instead of time stretching like it usually does it was somehow speeding up, the sub rose in about 20 seconds from my perspective, and after that i went to sleep, only to be waken up by my parents asking why i wasn’t at school.
I had taken the mushrooms a Saturday night… so i tripped and watched the sun rise for a full day and a half.

2023.06.11 00:08 alexfrankone 4 Reasons Why I Am No Longer A College Football Fan (Essay)

1. Teams are joining “better” conferences not necessarily because it’s better for the student-athletes, but for media exposure and more money.
-USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten. In my opinion, this makes no sense. It’s not better for the student athletes in terms of familiarity by being unable to play schools within a few hours of them by a bus ride. The athletes have to spend extra hours on a plane for all of their away games that could be spent studying or resting, and will have to play in a time zone that is at least two or three hours ahead of them while being at least 1,000 miles away from their school. Texas and Oklahoma are joining the SEC. In my opinion, it is not as outrageous as the USC & UCLA situation because the SEC schools are closer in distance to those schools, but those schools are also joining the best college football conference mostly for the money and media exposure. And more schools do want to follow in their footsteps- there are rumors that California and Arizona want to join the Big 12 from Pac-12, as well as seven ACC schools looking to cancel their media contract with ESPN, which runs through 2035-36. The Pac-12, Big 12 and ACC could likely dissolve.
2. College athletes are getting the perks of being a professional athlete through NIL (Name, Image, Likeness). This means that college athletes are now allowed to endorse products for a profit.
-The perks of being a professional athlete are earned- by proving you can compete with the best by performing at the highest level. Only 1,696 people every year can have the perks of being a professional football player- and every single one has earned it through their talent. Choosing where to attend college is a big decision that should not be taken lightly for any high school senior. When they’re presented with an opportunity to make millions at a college, they will be easily swayed by the financial distractions rather than what is best for them. High school senior football players will now choose colleges based on where they can get the most money and media attention, rather than where they can get the best education and what colleges are good for their major or career path. This is in case that dream of playing the NFL doesn’t work out. And realistically, the dream will most likely not work out, so it’s best to have a Plan B in case Plan A fails.
3. College football players are now being treated like NFL players by the NCAA. There is a HUGE difference between what's expected as a STUDENT compared to being an EMPLOYEE, since they are as different as night and day.
-Talent- The NFL is completely different than college football in almost every way- because every NFL roster consists of those in the top 0.1% of American football players on Earth, while NCAA Division 1 football consists of the top 2.9% of high school American football players. These men are between the ages of 22 and 40. In college, the men are between the ages of 18 and 23.
-Playbooks/Schemes- College playbooks are usually curated to fit the needs of their Heisman-caliber quarterback or running back. In the NFL, playbooks and schemes require a greater time studying the playbook as well as film. In the NFL, having a star quarterback or running back isn’t enough to make a team nationally recognized- there needs to be talent from all 11 players, offense, and defense. Plus, there are always new schemes being installed in playbooks- and they are usually complex, so you will most likely be doing something wrong, even when you think you know what you’re doing.
-Lifestyle- Succeeding as an NFL player requires hard work and discipline on a whole different level than a college football player. One must know going in that they are getting paid millions of dollars to perform on the field. Dieting, working out, studying the playbook, avoiding posting inappropriate things on social media, maintaining a strong attitude and work ethic, and conducting yourself both on and off the field is what determines your success at the highest level. Also, the speed of the game in NFL is much faster paced than it is in college football. These players will injure you if you are not ready. And even if you are ready, you will most likely suffer a serious injury that will affect your body for the rest of your life.
-In the NFL, there is absolutely no room for silly mistakes when you have millions of fans watching you- whether fans are sitting in the stadium or on the couch at home. Fans are counting are you to make a difference to their favorite team, and if you don’t, you are not only looked down upon to your team, but the fans as well.
4. It is ruining the tradition of college football.
-There will be a 12-team playoff system in NCAA football coming within the next few years, which sounds similar to the NFL, only the NFL has 14 team playoffs and not 12.
-For about a century, college football had bowl games instead of playoffs. Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl- these bowl games may still exist, but will not be as exciting as they may have lower-ranked teams competing while the best teams go into the playoffs. It’s also possible that these bowl games will be no more.
-We may no longer see rivalries such as USC-Stanford, UCLA-Cal Berkeley, Texas-Texas Tech, and Oklahoma-Oklahoma State, all of which have been played almost every year since the 1930’s.
Any thoughts? Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

2023.06.11 00:08 IgggyStone Can I survive Personal Training as a New Yorker

(TLDR at bottom) Hey everyone, I see this question has been asked before, but I specifically want to hear opinions from other New Yorkers or anybody in an expensive City(Rent here often exceeds 3,000 a month for a 2 bedroom).
I started studying personal training and am working towards getting certified(Take test this July) because I love helping my friends in my school gym and enjoy fitness(materials very interesting too). But our living/financial situation has recently changed and I need to be able to support myself and family members.
I’ve gotten mixed responses about working at big box gyms(a lot of negativity towards pursuing personal training as a main job). And hear that income as a trainer is very unstable.
Once I start training, this will be my only job as I’m still in school full time. I’d need to at least be making stable income before winter. My question is, can I actually afford to live as a personal trainer? And 2 should I go for Equinox(heard bad things) or Lifetime(heard bad things) or another big boxed gym(NYC has a lot). Does it matter which one? If not should I work at a little gym or risk starting my own business? Will I end up homeless?
(TLDR: Fulltime college student(can’t dorm/family issues). It cost 5 million dollars to rent a closet in NYC. I need at least a 2 bedroom. Will I die at a big box gym or should I pursue a smaller gym.)

Do you offer bundles and plans?
- Absolutely, I include a FREE 1-HOUR session for a bundle of 5 sessions. (5 Hours + 1 Free)

2023.06.11 00:07 su1eman Am I dumb? - ADHD newbie here

Hi so I fell down this rabbit hole of IQ testing after trying to see if I would qualify for school accommodations for ADHD
Basically I’ve had ADHD since I was 13 I’m in my mid 20s now (male, USA, south Asian) and I was just shooting the shit to see if I would be considered for accommodations for dental school that begins in a few months.
Then that brought me to the Mensa Norway test. I asked gpt4 what’s the best free online iq test to get an indicator of where I’m at. It suggested the most trusted to be 1. Mensa Norway 2. Cambridge brain sciences and 3. Queen doms iq test
Now see getting into dental school was very competitive. I scored a near 90th percentile on my DAT the standardized test for admission, and have been running on a high ever since
So I thought ok - instead of trying to get accommodations let me just see what my iq is to see if it’s necessary. So I begin Mensa Norway, on my phone, on the couch and like a couple questions deep I lost motivation but decided to stick through it. I’ve never done a formal or informal iq test before so it was all very new to me. I deffinitley burnt out on focus towards the end but idk.
The result? 95 IQ lmao. I feel dumb as hell now. But my mom was yelling at me in the meantime, I was questioning the validity of the whole thing to begin with, and felt I was stuck on a few for too long and overall didn’t give it my all.
What do you all think? Poor test conditions or more so that someone with a truly genuine higher or lower iQ who took the test in the same exact conditions as me would have respectively scored higher or lower?
Now forget all the neuropsych Evals - how the hell am I gonna do dental school with a sub average IQ especially if I wanna specialize which is competitive to another level- fully dependent on exam scores.
What should I do from here? I’m ready to give these iq tests my all in the search of the best reliable online cheap iq measure. Retake Norway? Is there a better alternative? Are first attempts the end all be all regardless of testing conditions? Should I take my adhd medication or go without it? I take it daily regardless.
Ahh it’s okay if I’m genuinely sub average, I mean I have adhd after all since a kid and I’m basically a turnaround story where I did terribly all my life in academics and in the past few years had a massive breakthrough with academics, or so I thought.
Can someone give me down on how this all works and what you recommend I take as a online test and how many times to get a true average iq guesstimate?
What’s the gold standard protocol here for newbies wanting a easy to take but reliable as hell test?
Should I give myself time between the next time I take an iq test or is it ok to go back to back if I feel okay mentally? Is empty stomach okay or should I eat?
I know this was alot so whatever you can provide input on would be massively helpful.

2023.06.11 00:07 katrod158 Quant advice

Hi everyone,
I think this is the right spot for this question. I have taken the GRE twice thus far for graduate school, and I just can't get the hang of the GRE quant section. I am a senior STEM major in undergrad and I'm in the middle of submitting graduate school applications (schools require GRE and focus on verbal and quant). I took the GRE once in march without studying and got 147 (27th percentile) and then again in may after completing the magoosh prep course and got a 152 (40th percentile). I am taking it again this coming august and I have been using Gregmat (saw great reviews on reddit), but I feel like my problem does not have to do with the material itself, I think it has to do with my test-taking. I scored pretty well on verbal with 74th percentile, so I don't think it has too much to do with test anxiety, but I don't know what else it could be. I have always been good at math in general and mathematical applications (I have a 4.0 math GPA and a 3.73 science GPA), but for some reason I just can't do well on the GRE quant section. All of my graduate schools give preference to >50 percentile, and I am so nervous this score will cause me to get rejected (its a masters medical program). Anyone have any advice on how I can try and improve? I'll do whatever I have to do, I just do not know what that would be!

6-legged bug with long rounded body in my house in minnesota, bite feels like a bee sting, left one small mark. Am i dying?
Found a medium-sized maybe 3/4 of an inch long bug in my sink, picked it up to bring it outside, and i felt what felt like a bee sting, maybe a little more intense than that. I instinctively threw it and now i can’t find it. Should i be concerned? Like i said, it was maybe 3/4 of an inch, had a rounded cockroach-like body, 6 legs, black, but i didn’t look at it closely. I’d probably recognize it if i saw a picture.

2023.06.11 00:06 lolok696 Me and my best friend of 5-6 years are super close to not being friends

What im about to say will sound like a "am i the asshole" type story, but i already have my answer which is i AM the asshole, but that doesnt matter so let me get to the point. Me and my best friend have been friends for 7 years and have been best friends for around 5-6 years i'd say. Shes been the bestest friend ever and i could never ask for a better best friend and im so insanely grateful for her but things are starting to come to an end because of me. although shes my best friend ive always been incredibly jealous of her. I'd try to just shove my jealousy away but im a bitch and obviously i wasnt able to do that so i started to stupidly take it out on her. I was jealous because every single crush I had that was in our class would always have a crush on her first and all of our friends liked her better. It was obvious and I was hurt by it, so I started to take it out on her. I'd be like passive aggressive and things like that or talk about how I am jealous of her. I never tried to deliberately hurt her she's my best friend. Or at least I thought so. To understand what I mean you need to know what is going on right now. Since February me and her have been having like monthly arguments and it's been weird. We've been distant from eachother like we aren't even best friends anymore. In the first argument I talked about how our friendship feels weird and distant and how I'm tired of hanging out at her house every single week. What I mean by that is that she NEVER came to my house. She came 3 times in the past 6 years and I live around 22 minutes away from her so obviously it was a struggle for my parents to drive once a week to her house EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's what I meant by "I was tired of hanging out at her house" but I'm guessing she misunderstood that. She took it as "I'm tired of our friendship" which is FAR from the truth. She's my favorite person and she always has been and I think it'll always be like that. The way I talk about her almost seems like a crush 😭. Anyways so that was a little bit of the first argument. The 2nd argument was about me being passive aggressive towards her and overall being a bitch. I wasn't going through the easiest of times and it caused me to take it out on her + all of that built up jealousy. It caused me to say how I'm tired of her responses being about "mental health" which was insanely wrong for me to say. I didn't mean to say it like that, but it was still wrong. I said that because everytime I'd express my feelings about our friendship being distant or everything being weird, she'd talk about how it's her mental health and that it has nothing to do with me. I started to get tired of that response because I knew that deep down she wasn't being honest with me. This led up to the 3rd argument. Me and her went to my school friends house. My school friend was a bitch and she was really toxic. Anyway my best friend wondered why I still talked to my school friend if I hated her so much. I hung out with her because she was my only school friend. It's hard for me to make friends in school because I have really bad social anxiety and I used to go to a private school which had the same exact classmates for like 5 years so I never learned how to socialize at all. Anyway, my best friend got upset over that because I was being quiet at my school friends house. This caused an entire argument. My best friend brought up how she can't say the truth with me because she's scared of me because she has seen the way I act with other people. Usually I'd lash out at people because they would be acting like a bitch and I couldn't take it anymore. That's why she was scared of me. Now I've brought up the fact that it feels like we aren't best friends anymore and she's been mad. Really mad. Bringing up that I'm a hypocrite and that I say sorry so much but I never change the way I act. Now she's been mocking me with her cousin and overall saying how she'd be better off without me. Now I don't know what to do. I've been changing and I think I've been changing for the better. I'm aware that I've treated her like a bitch in the past, but I'm genuinely trying to change that. And I have been changing that. I don't act in the mean ways that I used to. So how do I explain that to her? Honestly, it's just been miscommunication. But I just dont know what to do. I don't want to lose her, but that's not even up to me. Because it's my fault. Another thing you should know about me is that I'm autistic and we haven't even been communicating properly for the past few years. She never told me she had so many problems with me because like I said, she's scared of me. She would also bring up how I was able to be blunt and honest about my feelings, but she wasn't able to do that. I just wish she would have communicated with me properly before so that I could actually open my eyes before it escalated into this. I just need advice. Please be as blunt and honest as possible, even if it hurts, because I know that I treated her like shit. And I'd do literally anything to reverse my actions, but now it's too late and we're about to stop being friends. I can't even call her my best friend anymore. I just really need help. Please and thank you :)
