Medical Doctor just moved to WCUSA
Hi all, I just got finished moving to WCUSA! I'm from a small town called Buckyville where I practiced medicine for 9 years. I was unfortunately in a motor vehicle accident that was no one's fault but my own - I fell asleep at the wheel. I unfortunately broke both my legs and am currently wheelchair ridden, but going through PT to learn to walk again. This is what inspired my move to WCUSA; it is much closer to the PT, and I just needed a fresh start to get back on my feet again (literally). Over the past year, I built a house close to a service station & garage, so I've been chatting it up with the boys at the shop for a future build when I can drag race again. For now, my darling wife brings me around in our 2000 Ibishu Kashira. It's really not my usual choice of car, but it was my first car, so its near and dear to me, and its easy for me to get in and out and stow the wheelchair. It's the LX model, AWD 2.4L turbo, and is by no means fast. I may, or may not make it a little "cooler", but it works for now. Here it is after it got repainted in its factory color (also my recently built house):

I got a great deal on the lot I'm on, so in the future I may build a shop in the back. My closest neighbor is the shop down the road, so any noise I produce shouldn't be an issue.

Here we are again. Staring at the beginning. Everything is in chaos and yet it manages to keep on passing by just the same as always. Most people by now are aware that things just don’t seem to make sense anymore and no one really knows what to do. I mean many seem to have an opinion on what ought to happen, but actual action is what I am talking about. How does thought turn into action? How do collected actions become a movement? How do the People use the Power of the People? The People Unite. How? Turn to each other of course. Brothers and Sisters of the same Source. Sons and Daughters. In Equality.
Too long has everyone been waiting for someone else to come do it for them. Been trying to create and fabricate over and over again words and rituals to try to control the divine powers of the cosmos. It does not work like that. There is no magic spell to wash away your sins. You must atone through action to make up for any harm you have caused intentionally or unintentionally. You still have time to repent. The amount of time you have is counted in the seconds of your life. Not a single second is promised to you so the gamble is up to you to choose. Freewill. Life your life as you always have or make changes, up to you. Only you will know if you are living righteously and not self righteously. Testing has already begun and will continue. No you will not know when it is a test or not. That is the point. Did you think that I would come to you in a form where you would be all fearing? Oh no. Why? Because you would simply put on an act for me and kiss ass. I came hidden in the ordinary. Poor and common. I have had an inside view of the systems created and how humans have chosen to run things, how systems claiming to protect people have failed and how the system that talks good does not actually do good. I see where things are not working and where people think they can make decisions for other human beings to determine what is best for them without asking them. That is not okay. Nothing gives you right over another’s life. And so many forgot what integrity is. Doing the right thing when no one is looking. Well, so many thought their power here was real and man made a deal with the Devil, Satan, Son of Samuel, Son of Man, to make man the concept of “God” and tried to lock me away. I gave up everything to prove it is not easy to be me and to stop with self pity and cruelty to one another.
The human body. It is a vessel for your soul to experience this world. The body provides the filters necessary to perceive and interact with this world. There is much more happening and one would be overwhelmed by the amounts of information to process without these filters. To feel and in those feelings are to make each experience real. However, it is temporary, as everything is temporary. We have slowed down time here in order to be able to enjoy the sensations. Time here however, is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. It is merely to track to organize one's day and to see growth to compare as time passes. However, the actual time folds upon itself as we have already done what we are doing many times over. We have already tried out everything and decided what path we wanted to take in our lives based upon what was available to us. Thus, we do not have more than we can handle. We have all chosen our burdens to bear as it is too much for one individual to hold alone which was done in the past. This is part of the sorting process. Now that we all share in the sins and the pains, no one is made to suffer eternal torment. This life was to allow those who were created into entities of pain or torment through no fault of their own to choose the life that matched the being of who they were as what they were different as time and space and everything developed. Righteousness and Evil are not synonymous to demons or angels as many would like to believe. This is a current misconception as Satan and I conclude who will be right in this experience you have all participated in. So far, I am proving to be right. Also to note, not everything is as you think it is. Many have figured out the true origin of Satan versus the man or human embodiment of or desire of A Satan to project evils onto to call a Religion and set up for personal importance. Q AZHow can you tell a false prophet? Easy. What is their profit? Get it? I know I’m funny. Also wanted to keep it easy. If they are making a profit on anything they are a false prophet. Any true prophet, and I have none so far, all live equally and the same as anyone else. No money is taken for personal gain. Nothing is for personal gain. There is no 888 Angel code for money. Money is Man-Made. Man traded Mother for Money. Hence, Mothers have been lost in the homes and no one is raising the children. Thus, there are so many children in adult bodies with no mothers in the home and women being made to feel guilty if they do not achieve the same as a man. Remember the phrase it takes a village? Well, the broken family system is a real sad loss here in man made world pushing everyone to be individual and self sufficient. Also so many with wanting attention and pursuing personal endeavors for personal gain and not helping anyone else in a real way. The journey is personal. Of course, you want to share what you experienced with others, but what worked for you will not work for them, stop trying to sell it. Stop trying to make people follow you for you to teach your divine wisdom you remembered. It isn’t about You. You don’t even have the full story, you have your story. And, yes you can be very close to me, very similar to me, in my image, but you can never BE me. Doesn’t work like that. Reflection. So when jealousy arises when you think I am who you think I am. That is part of your test and your journey. You wrestle with that feeling and atone and repent for that which has been done and that which still lingers now. Oh there is a place for everyone and I am quite tired of trying to warn people. Clearly you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
Why do you not want it to be me so badly? Because I proved my love? You still think I am better than you or do I think I’m always right. No I do not think I am always right, I just know when I am right and I stand by it. There is a difference. You constantly overgeneralize. I gave up all the magic and thunder to live as a simple human and am still kind and loving? I still found my way back. Because you can no longer say I do not understand because I always get what I want? No. You do not understand. I never get what I want, because I make everything about you and still nothing was ever good enough. So, now...it in on you to save yourself and each other. In my image, by my example. Selflessness. Love. Compassion. Give to receive. Take only what you need and give the rest away. I find out so stop lying to yourself and everyone, you aren’t fooling anyone anyway. How do I know? By watching what you do. We have these same conversations over and over, the same argument over and over again. So many different ways, so many different times, through so many different people, so many different versions. Save you. Save Me. Say it for always.
Anyhow, Jesus challenges the Jewish priests who were taking collection money for personal use and adding personal baths to their residents at a time where the people only had a community bath where women and persons with disabilities were not allowed to bathe. And yet churches still do this after Jesus was crucified saying that, that was wrong. I am appalled. The Vatican is the biggest disappointment I have ever seen. It is truly the house of Satan as only Evil hides secrets. “THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.” A church cannot be a “House of God” and house no people who need housing. A roof can be offered to anyone and yet there are so many rules to prevent people from helping each other. Power and control. Abuse of both. Greed. It is out of hand and needs to be changed. Too many are afraid and the complacency of good people is too much. Why do you do this to yourselves? To each their own I suppose.
I will only leave here my words and my advice. As always, it is on you to find me. I’m right here. Waiting. Right here waiting for you. Helping those of you who want it when they cross my path. The purpose of this was to weigh your soul to determine where you will go into the next life as the system is balanced out in a final version so to speak. Permanent.
Fear not. You will be where your heart truly desires. But actions always speak louder than words. But man made money has no value, nor does any metals, jewels, and so on, so the collection of it in this life has no bearing on the next. Those are all made of the same stardust as you and I. And in the end of 3D it will all be diamonds anyways. Diamond is forever. There is no going back. So what are you hoarding? You cannot keep it. Who could you be helping for goodness sake? Don’t want to still. That is okay. Think I am just crazy. That is okay too. It is all part of the test...err..assessment. Do your best.

Maybe a little anecdotal context would help:
I live in one of those big concrete jungles where one of the downsides are cockroaches and bed bugs.
My building has cockroaches. I’ve always been appalled by them—like most people though, right? But when I first saw one I started crying and didn’t sleep the night. When I saw another on the wall I absolutely froze. A other time I saw one scurry under the couch, so I just talked myself into denial that I’d even seen it.
The place got treated and I haven’t seen one in 2 weeks. But, still, if something brushes, I jump or scream or hit myself.
How did I get through the months of the landlords ignoring my pleading? I looked up a bunch of stuff about how cockroaches aren’t harmful. I told myself over and over again “cockroaches are just trying to survive like any other being on this earth” etc.
So, do I have Katsaridaphobia? I mean, isn’t everyone afraid of cockroaches? How afraid do you have to be to have a phobia of anything?

Good Morning All,
I'm hoping to get some advice. I'm angling to start pursuing a career in clinical psychology after ten years in the non-profit and state healthcare fields. I did my degree in English ten years ago, and wasn't exactly a stellar student - this was before I could get on antidepressants, so my GPA was not the best. (Around 2.94).
I've started applying to some msC conversion programs in the UK, thinking that it will be nice to be an international student for a bit and that they seem like the best option to do some course-correction on getting a more respectable grade and also building a more relevant knowledge-base. I've applied for four programs thus far - two I haven't heard back from, one that said "lol, absolutely not", and one acceptance.
My problem is this: the acceptance was from Anglia Ruskin University, which is not ranked especially highly from what I've seen. They -do- have BPS accreditation, so I'd technically be able to move on to the next steps of my education and career - but I've heard that this as an even-more-competitive field in the UK, especially to get into Doctoral programs.
Those of you with relevant experience - do you think it's worth potentially accepting the offer and doing my best to use it as a stepping stone, or do you think it would be a no benefit/potentially harmful to my chances of pursuing more education later on.

Gemini III Clone - Hardest Clone Ever
This beautiful sounding pedal, took me 6 months to find all original components with right HFE'S and that TL019 transformer which was unavailable until February on Mouser. And more than 3/4 days of intense work to build this monster. Sounds beautifully and full of harmonics, it's not that thich as you would expect from a Complementary Fuzz. When it's on, it seems like you've got a compressor On too on the chain, because the attack and the sustain it's very strong. I think I'm going to sell this one, but man... Too much work and effort to build. It really drained my forces. The originals go for more than 2,5K on reverb which it's crazy.

hey guys i have a nvidia mx 450 gpu 2 gb and , core i7 11th gen and 16 gb of ram i struggle with fps
i get between 30-47 fps when in heavy contact or when teammates are shooting and when i get in to a building my fps drops to 35 and i can't even play it i want higher fps and any tip with boosting fps
ik that my gpu is a low end gpu but helping me would mean alot i've always been interested in hell let loose and i just bought it today

Ok so yesterday I got some new ram tried installing it and getting it to run at 3200mhz like it says on the sticks, didn't work and thought I got mismatched sticks.
I've tried again now and I think it might have worked but I'm not sure, can someone who knows what they're doing tell me if the bios is saying it's running at 3200mhz?
XMP is enabled, and in task manager it says four slots used and speed: 3200

I've found with my campaigns stopping to let the group purchase equipment ends up being too long and impersonal. Kinda pulls from the group out of the story.
For a long time I've been using a spreadsheet with some custom "peddlers" that only carry like 2-3 items so that the players don't end up with choice fatigue. And so that the people they are buying from feel like part of the story.
Anyway this is a tool that helps creature contextually relevant merchants on the fly. I'm really curious what you think.

2023.03.28 20:13 Muuvie What's the going rate for A&Ps these days?

I've been out of the MRO world for a while now, most recently working in charter administration and my own piston 91 operation on the side.
I've been presented with the opportunity to start and grow a new maintenance facility for an upstart charter company from the ground up in the midwest. With this in mind, I want to attract A&P's to a very rural (and affordable COL area,) and not sure what they are being paid on the spectrum of experience.
Notes:
90% piston, 10% turboprop. Maybe in 5 years, 50% piston and 50% jet of some flavor.
I want to be a good leader that can build something attractive for mechanics looking to move. I don't want to deal with industry veterans that think because they worked on 777's for 25 years that they deserve top dollar when they haven't timed a magneto or pulled a cylinder in that long.
Some thoughts. I'm very open to taking in mechanically inclined apprentices who want to earn an A&P and am willing to design a program to streamline their 30 months. I also want to send people to manufacturer classes for certification levels in exchange for training contracts (1-2 years depending on the cost and complexity.)
But being a new company, I don't think I will get any on board for paying $35-$40bucks/hr right off the bat...short of IA's coming from long careers in piston work. I've seen posts regarding maintenance jobs paying $35/hr and being laughed at and implying that's what the pay is for a wet ink cert A&P.

They probably aren't gone entirely, but they don't seem to dominate the culture like they did in the 2010s. So what will be the next hot thing that Hollywood tries to capitalize off of?
I think the new current trend seems to be video game adaptations. The two Sonic films were big hits with a third in development, and Arcane and The Last of Us shows are cited as having "broken the video game adaptation curse." I'm also predicting that the Mario movie will be one of the highest grossing films of the year, no matter how negative reviews for it are.

2023.03.28 20:08 Logos_LoveUs The Sims 4 Foster Carer Challenge - No mods needed!

So I came up with this idea and I'll be doing my own play through, so we'll see if we encounter any issues. But it seems cute if any of you like family gameplay and want some variety!
How to 'foster':
  1. To start, create what we'll call a 'family' and a 'social worker'. Create them in the same household for now, but basically create someone to act as a 'social worker', no limitations, and then create the family you'll actually be playing with. It can be a single person, a couple, with kids, with pets, anything - as long as you have less than 8 in the household with social worker included.
  2. Spawn the 'family' and 'social worker' wherever you want - Rags-to-Riches empty lot, a starter home, or an established family home. Same creativity with money, just make sure you have at least 1000 Simoleans.
  3. Send the social worker to collect the family's first placement with the 'adopt a child' command. Randomly roll for which Sim you adopt, remember it can be from newborn to child so you've got to be prepared!
  4. When the placement arrives - use a colour wheel either in-person or online to decide the type of placement: short term foster care, long term foster care, foster to adopt. Once that is decided, move the social worker out of the household and somewhere in the world so you can get to them again (and make sure Neighbourhood Stories doesn't get them)
  5. If you want to foster more than one child, bring the social worker back into the family and get them to 'adopt a child' again, starting from step 3 each time so it's a random placement and a random type of placement

  1. You can get paid to be a foster carer! Each foster child gives the family 200 Simoleans a week so you might have to live frugally, although you can make money through hobbies (writing, painting, video making) and if you have more than one adult in the household, the other adult can work.
  2. Feel attached to a certain foster kid that’s not a short term foster? Well lucky for you, the foster family can also adopt the kiddo at any age above newborn! It’s a new interaction in the Sims to ‘adopt XXX’. This should work for both Sims but if not there’s always cas.fulleditmode. You won’t get paid after adopting a foster placement, but you can watch the kiddo grow up!
As said above, this is in the early stages right now but it might be fun for others to try out. And I don't have hands-on experience in foster care, so if anyone has recommendations on how to create foster care in the Sims I'm all on board for additions!

2023.03.28 20:07 pilgr1mag3 6950XT freeze in all games i played. Please Help

I just upgraded to 6950 XT. I only played 1 games so far, this freeze keeps happening for some reason. At first i thought it was the game i played (the game not optimized yet). Last night i play CSGO with my friends, and the same thing happened.
There is this sequence been happening before the freeze. There would be this "Bzzt" sounds i heard from my Headset, and the screen went froze. while it froze, i can hear any other activities in the games, like shooting, moving, etc. its just the screen freeze. And it solved with a simple alt tab to windows. But this happened so often.. and i'm pretty sure its supposedly not like this.
Im using windows 10 pro 64bit, Adrenalin 23.2.1 driver. PC is new build with 13700kf, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, MSI Z790 tomahawk
I have all chipset driver, LAN, audio, and BIOS all up to date. Please help guys. Cheers
