Bio: Extremely elderly for a Tortle, Gromma Nander grew discontent with her secluded life after giving birth to her offspring. Once they were old enough to fend for themselves, she ventured back out into the world to learn as much as she could about the strange creatures that inhabit it. Gromma is a wise and inquisitive Tortle who is quick to friendship but slow to trust. She carries a pouch of smooth colored stones that she has collected on her journey and walks with the aid of a battle-worn spear.
Basic Attack: Gromma has a different basic attack based on her Specialization Choice.
Shades of Gray (Mountain Spec): Increases the damage of Neutral Champions (on the Good/Evil axis) by 100% for each enemy attacking Gromma and/or each enemy enrage stack.
Freezing Breeze (Arctic Spec): Enemies affected by Sleet Storm take 400% additional damage
Acid Splash (Swamp Spec): Melf's Acid Arrow now does 100% of its damage as splash damage to nearby enemies
Global DPS Buff: 4.14e06%
Gaar's Note: This is Gromma's tanking specialization.
Circle of the Arctic: Gromma casts Sleet Storm when they attack. The target enemy, and all nearby enemies, are slowed by half and their attack timers are doubled.
Gaar's Note: This is Gromma's support specialization, but she can tank in it as well.
Circle of the Swamp: Gromma now casts Melf's Acid Arrow as her primary attack.
Gaar's Note: This is Gromma's DPS specialization.
Gaar's Note: Currently, you will need to level this Champion past their current upgrade softcap which will require you changing the blue update indicator from UPG to one of the numbered options.

Gromma has three different Specializations and each one adjusts her leveling slightly. Each is listed below. Keep in mind, she gets the same health bonuses in every Spec, unlike some (potential) Tank Champions.

New Player Formation & Specializations:
While I recommend learning to build your own formations, here's a set of starter formations for brand new players to use while they get the hang of things. Anyone with other options should check that link for how to figure out how to make the best of them. You can also ask for help in the #formations channel in the official Discord.
This formation is for the first couple of runs where you're just not going to get enough Gold to get everyone on the field, let alone level people up into their power curves. At this point, Jarlaxle is focusing on being your Primary DPS while everyone else is set up to support him.
The following formation is for once your Hitch starts doing more damage than your Jarlaxle. You can find this out by pulling Asharra out of the formation and swapping Jarlaxle and Hitch around to see whose damage is better. If Hitch is higher, next run change Asharra's Spec to buff Hitch instead.
This formation should get you through the Time Gate as a new player. If you have other options or think a different DPS is geared better, try it out and see what happens! Swapping DPS around like this can help you figure out what works best for you with your specific items.
These are the rough Favor values you need to reach to make a Variant say Difficulty: Easy. Keep in mind that this is just a generic rating system and some Variants may be harder than others, even with Favor in this range.

The area goals go up by 50 each time you select a specific Champion's Time Gate and then go down by 25 each time you select someone else's. This encourages you to do Time Gates for different Champions, potentially in a rotation, rather than just grinding the same Champion's Time Gate over and over.
Once you've done the first two missions, you then have to complete the variant the Time Gate gave you. If you've never done any of them, you'll get one at random. If you've done one, you'll get one of the other two you haven't done before. If you've done two of them before, you're guaranteed to get the one you haven't done. If you've done all three before, you get one at random.
Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Ultimate Attacks cannot be used and any attacks with a cooldown of 5 seconds or less have an additional 3 second cooldown (so a 4 second cooldown becomes 7 seconds, but a 6 second cooldown stays at 6 seconds). These lengthened attacks don't do any additional damage due to their longer cooldown.
Gaar's Notes: You're going to be stacking up enemies a bit more than usual due to the long cooldowns, so make sure you're leveling up your front line to hold them off. You only have to get to 75, so as long as you were able to finish the base adventure at 75, you shouldn't have much difficulty.
Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Undead monsters have 2x as much health as normal and, when they take a killing blow, they are stunned for 10 seconds before coming back to life (they still drop gold and quest items and count towards the quest each time they are killed).
Gaar's Notes: This variant isn't as bad as it sounds as long as your tanks can take a beating. You can actually get through levels pretty quickly since you get to kill the same enemy multiple times.
Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Gromma Nander is forced to be in your formation. She starts at level 1 in your formation right away alongside Bruenor. She cannot be removed from the formation or swapped out of her seat. She has a 4x damage boost and her normal attack cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
Gaar's Notes: This may be the first time you ever get tempted to use Gromma in DPS spec. She can be surprisingly strong with good supports, but is much better towards the end of her upgrades. Try her out and you can always switch to Arctic with a Potion of Specialization if you'd rather use someone else. Or just restart the variant because it's free in a Time Gate anyway.

In a Time Gate, you will be given two basic adventures and one variant to complete, along with being granted access to Free Plays. They all use a formation that holds 10 Champions. The following formation is for once your Hitch starts doing more damage than your Jarlaxle. You can find this out by pulling Asharra out of the formation and swapping Jarlaxle and Hitch around to see whose damage is better. If Hitch is higher, next run change Asharra's Spec to buff Hitch instead.

The area goals go up by 50 each time you select a specific Champion's Time Gate and then go down by 25 each time you select someone else's. This encourages you to do Time Gates for different Champions, potentially in a rotation, rather than just grinding the same Champion's Time Gate over and over.
Once you've done the first two missions, you then have to complete the variant the Time Gate gave you. If you've never done any of them, you'll get one at random. If you've done one, you'll get one of the other two you haven't done before. If you've done two of them before, you're guaranteed to get the one you haven't done. If you've done all three before, you get one at random.
First Variant Option: Respectful Restraint
Complete: Area 75Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Ultimate Attacks cannot be used and any attacks with a cooldown of 5 seconds or less have an additional 3 second cooldown (so a 4 second cooldown becomes 7 seconds, but a 6 second cooldown stays at 6 seconds). These lengthened attacks don't do any additional damage due to their longer cooldown.
Gaar's Notes: You're going to be stacking up enemies a bit more than usual due to the long cooldowns, so make sure you're leveling up your front line to hold them off. You only have to get to 75, so as long as you were able to finish the base adventure at 75, you shouldn't have much difficulty.
Second Variant Option: The Relentless Undead
Complete: Area 125Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Undead monsters have 2x as much health as normal and, when they take a killing blow, they are stunned for 10 seconds before coming back to life (they still drop gold and quest items and count towards the quest each time they are killed).
Gaar's Notes: This variant isn't as bad as it sounds as long as your tanks can take a beating. You can actually get through levels pretty quickly since you get to kill the same enemy multiple times.
Third Variant Option: A Grand Nandventure
Complete: Area 175Reward: Gold Gromma Chest & whatever Mystra's Favor you earned
Info: Gromma Nander is forced to be in your formation. She starts at level 1 in your formation right away alongside Bruenor. She cannot be removed from the formation or swapped out of her seat. She has a 4x damage boost and her normal attack cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
Gaar's Notes: This may be the first time you ever get tempted to use Gromma in DPS spec. She can be surprisingly strong with good supports, but is much better towards the end of her upgrades. Try her out and you can always switch to Arctic with a Potion of Specialization if you'd rather use someone else. Or just restart the variant because it's free in a Time Gate anyway.

I really don't have words to express my appreciation for all the kindness, love and support this community has channeled to me these past couple weeks. It seemed like every time I was stressed out over delayed orders or a struggle filled move, the next email or comment that would come through would be the most encouraging message right when I needed it most.
I felt a bit (a lot) overwhelmed at some points that my entire focus was getting caught up. Meditation? Skipped. Exercise, sunlight and fresh air? Out the door. Sleep and diet? Do those even exist?? I hit the ground running most days because I felt I needed to. I ran into challenge after challenge ranging from inventory issues, printer problems, shipping app malfunctions and my own loud-mouthed inner voice telling me all sorts of things I should've done different. Sometimes, these intrusive thoughts even tried to guide me in the right direction (heyoo!), but I would ignore it, or even worse, resist. "Oh, you don't have time to take care of yourself and meditate? Well that's when you need to the most!" "Shutup, me" said my dumb brain to my smart brain. Eventually I learned to surrender and trust. And might I say, what a game changer that was!
One day this past week, I was working in silence, going full blast with every ounce of focus and productivity I could possibly muster. That's the only way to make progress, right? When I say full blast, I mean head spinning, eyes spinning....I'm pretty sure I felt my soul spinning. I had a thought that I should probably step away for a few minutes and do some breath work and meditate to calm my demeanor and slip back into sanity. Is that what I did? Hell no! The silence was deafening and I thought it might help to throw on some tunes to drown out my mind chatter. I kept trying to click on one of my favorite songs that usually gets me out of a funk, but guess what? Spotify wouldn't even cooperate with me! Life must be against me. But out of the blue, maybe 30 seconds into this horrendous and inescapable tornado of malfunctions, a track starts to play that I never searched for or even heard before- a 20 minute guided meditation with the most calm, soothing sounds in the background. In that moment, I surrendered. I felt chills, my eyes were soaked and I'm pretty sure I turned into one giant goosebump. Ever since that moment, things have fallen into place in ways I couldn't imagine. I've been introduced to beautiful beings of love and light left and right. My processes became smooth and I felt like a weight had been lifted. Oh, and my dumb brain had nothing to say to that either. What may seem like a rollercoaster is all just part of the journey. Enjoy all the ups AND the downs :)

Well hellooooo my glorious friends of patience and understanding!
I really don't have words to express my appreciation for all the kindness, love and support this community has channeled to me these past couple weeks. It seemed like every time I was stressed out over delayed orders or a struggle filled move, the next email or comment that would come through would be the most encouraging message right when I needed it most.
I felt a bit (a lot) overwhelmed at some points that my entire focus was getting caught up. Meditation? Skipped. Exercise, sunlight and fresh air? Out the door. Sleep and diet? Do those even exist?? I hit the ground running most days because I felt I needed to. I ran into challenge after challenge ranging from inventory issues, printer problems, shipping app malfunctions and my own loud-mouthed inner voice telling me all sorts of things I should've done different. Sometimes, these intrusive thoughts even tried to guide me in the right direction (heyoo!), but I would ignore it, or even worse, resist. "Oh, you don't have time to take care of yourself and meditate? Well that's when you need to the most!" "Shutup, me" said my dumb brain to my smart brain. Eventually I learned to surrender and trust. And might I say, what a game changer that was!

Hey! I am a car lover from Estonia, who has their car love focused on mainly one brand, BMW. As well as that, I like to keep things “Old School”. I have had many a car (17 to be exact) and with that a lot of problems occur and mishaps happen. So I decided to start sharing my things with the world. Mainly through my new Youtube channel. While the channel is new, I already have some videos up and I invite you to watch, especially This video as this combines three of my previous e39s in one video, talking about my misfortunes with them. However, I have another e39 which I currently own, which has really melted my heart and I will introduce it in my very next video, dropping next week. I will also share my plans on what I am going to be doing with it and why. I hope it will please the purists. The videos are in my native tongue, which is Estonian, however I put in the (sometimes excruciating) work of adding English subtitles to my videos, as to share my videos with a much larger audience. Please be so kind as to take a look at my videos, and see if you enjoy them. While the last two videos are more like a slideshow, I will definitely talk about my current e39 right next to or in the car, as well as document all the work I am going to be doing to it. If you have some constructive criticism or feedback, I will take every bit of advice as you are willing to give!

Our upcoming Season 10, starting March 25th, focuses on a vanilla feel with some minor quality of life tweaks.
The DragonBorn SMP server is a small and tightly knit group of passionate miners and crafters. Our main focus lies on building a strong family friendly community and exploring the endless possibilities of this blocky world together. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie or a veteran, we welcome you to join us and carve out a small place to call home on our server. We have dedicated staff that work tirelessly for the goal of creating a protected space that exists separate from the real world. A place where you can just relax and mine away. A place where you can simply forget about everyday life and have a fun time.
Our community works together a lot but if you want to participate, it is up to you. We usually build a spawn village, share certain public farms and just help each other out. But you can choose to play solitary and live in a remote corner of the map if you want, pretending you are in a single player world! We offer you full creative freedom.
We use a per player mob cap so spawn rates are well balanced guaranteeing that mob farms have great rates. Vanilla simulation distance and higher render distance than most servers creates a feel that the world is a good size and ready for exploration! The End is locked for the first month to allow players time to prepare to face the dragon and to encourage exploration and use of other methods of transportation such as horses.
No “keep inventory“. We don't have a land claim system either so claiming land works on trust and respect which has worked out great in the past. We do allow players to set a home to teleport to, and a teleport to spawn, but you can only use either one, once per hour. Everything players do is logged, so it's impossible to steal or grief without the staff noticing. There wouldn't be a point to doing so either since everything can be reset.
The server has been running since March 17, 2020 and we usually have 3-4 seasons (world resets) every year. The server is hosted professionally on top of the line hardware with 20GB of RAM and runs pretty much lag free. We run the game in hard difficulty and you can join both with Java & Bedrock. We don't have any type of premium or pay to win systems in place. You are free to build whatever you want and afk for as long as you want at your own farms, however, the server has daily reboots twice a day to maintain server performance.

Hi everyone! Currently, there is a tournament going on in the Asia/Pacific Time Zone called 'Best of Asia' tournament. It is being organized by 'bakmogoon', a Korean AOE4 player, and hosted on his Twitch. I got permission from him to promote the tournament on Reddit. I am personally not involved so don't direct any questions to me :P. The goal was to try and revitalize the tournament scene in Asia a little bit since most major AOE4 tournaments are currently held in the middle of the night where it is hard for players to compete. The prize pool is being supplemented by Matcherino donations. It is currently in the Quarterfinals stage.
