Would love opinions on this. I am a pizza delivery driver. Today the store was busy and I was on a run of three orders. My first order was to an apartment complex that is a maze. It is extremely confusing to navigate through. To make it worse most places to drive through were blocked of with ropes. Apparently they were redoing pavement. However, it was no longer wet or freshly done.
I drop my order off and try to leave. Problem is, every time I try to turn on to another part of the complex to leave it is roped off. I spend 10 minutes driving around in circles and finally find the exit. However, it is roped off too. When I say rope it’s more like very thin string. I have two other orders in the car and at this point I have lost my patience due to already having a stressful day so I drive through it. Wasn’t proud if it but I didn’t know what else to do. Also, other roped off spots around the complex had clearly been driven through too by other people. From what I could tell the only way I could have gotten out would have been to drive all the way back around to the entrance and exiting the entrance did not seem safe to me.
I get back to my store and apparently some lady called my manager and is pissed I drove through the roped off exit. He said she was very upset. (She knew where I worked because I had the delivery topper on my car with the store name on it.) My manager didn’t seem too bothered by it though and agreed that complex is a mess even without the roped off areas. However I’m worried he might tell my higher up boss about it when he comes in and I maybe get in trouble or written up or worse. I didn’t give it a second thought until I got back to the store and learned someone called to tell on me which made me question if that was the wrong move. What should I have done instead then. AITA for driving through the roped off exit?

I am sure you are all eager to hear an update on the hot crumpet topic in my life.
I have taken your advice, bought a six pack of Warburtons crumpets in a local ASDA and as excited as I was, took them home to further examine and investigate what you have all reported back. I have made the wife aware that I will be buying crumpets and she can participate in the guinea pig experiment if she wants. She said yes, but I need to test them first.
So I have pre heated the trusty old air fryer (no toaster in this household - criminal, I know!) and put the very first one in. The feel on my fingers wasn't great as it is quite floppy and not too appealing. However after a couple minutes in the air fryer it got the bottom crisp, so I have added some grated cheddar on top and put it back in for the cheese to melt.
AND OH MY DAYS WAS I FOR A SURPRISE! I had this very first crumpet after my dinner just with cheese. Someone said under my original post that they do mini pizzas for their kids with tomato paste and cheese - got to try that one as well. However the true value of crumpets emerged on the next day. I have decided to give another two a go - this time as the majority of you lovely peeps suggested with butter and the second one with a sweet condiment. I can confirm that crumpets are indeed the ultimate snack and I cannot wait to have my first set with a full English.
Now question is - are they truly an all day food? Give me your ideas on what do you have them with apart of the popular ones - butter, cheese, marmite, jam.
And also if I would ask my local cafe for a full English with crumpets instead of toast would I not look suspicious?

I suddenly developed GERD a few weeks ago, around the time I quit vaping nicotine. Not sure if I went through some sort of dramatic withdrawal, but now I have either GERD or LPR. I can feel acid/food move up and down my throat/esophagus, I have an excessive amount of burping (of which don't feel like normal burps... it feels only like swallowed air and there are usually mini burps right after), and I even regurgitated/coughed up undigested lettuce and had some heartburn when it was at it's worst. I've finished half a thing of tums within the span of ~1.5 weeks.
After researching, I cut out acidic things such as pizza and stopped eating antacids every time I felt it. My weight is also normal for my height. My symptoms are about half as severe today.
I'm not sure what to do going forward. I talked to a doctor last week and they have me starting on a PPI tomorrow for about a month. What can I do to (hopefully) make this a temporary condition? My symptoms are no where near as severe as others in the sub but I do have bad health anxiety and want to resolve this ASAP if possible. I'm guessing I damaged something in my esophagus because of something related to smoking nicotine/weed and that's what is making acid flow up. Is it possible that I can heal my esophagus before this becomes a big problem in my life?
Also, if anyone knows, should I be taking my adhd meds (adderall IR) with my PPIs (pantoprazole 40 mg)?

-Was looking at an old CT scan from 2020 in mychart. It wasn't flagged as anything serious and my doctor never mentioned it.
-I had gotten a CT scan due to abdominal pain, which I believe was from a ruptured ovarian cyst.
-I am a 24 year old female, 123 pounds, 5 ft tall, non smoker, no medications but I take a women's multivitamin. I have a history of acid reflux and IBS when I was younger, but overall I am healthy and have normal digestion now.

I've been learning about socialism for over a year, and I have leaned socialist for a few months now. What convinced me was that companies/business owners pay their workers as little as possible in order to achieve high profits for themselves. Socialism is the process of seizing the workplace and ousting the boss because they don't need the boss, they can distribute the profits amongst themselves, the ones who actually work. A very good glimpse into socialism was when one owner of a pizza place decided to pay his workers the profits of one day of work, instead of keeping it for himself.

However I do still have some questions that stick out in my mind that I have not yet thoroughly researched that'll determine for me if capitalism can be regulated/overcome, which socialists disagree with.
Namely, that is large corporations and the whole "Owners incurred risk and the workers didn't."
I don't think anyone can disagree that because a entrepreneur risks their money and a worker does not that, the entrepreneur should be the one taking the profits home. But now let's say time passes, the business becomes massive and opens new locations, and then the owner gets hit by a bus, attacked by dogs, and drowns in the Atlantic never to be seen again.
Where do investors come into play?
Who now manages the purchases of the raw materials (like meat for burgers, graphite for a pencil factory, etc), the physical money that comes in from sales, and the new locations? (the administrative processes, basically). Hell I know business owners don't work alone as many businesses begin with 2 friends coming together. I mean, does an admin even have to be an owner or can it be a position to be applied for just like a cashier?
This is a round about way of saying, after all the initial people who incurred the risk are gone, can the company just go to the workers? There is definitely more to it that just that.
I used to work at a hotel that was founded before 1900. My job was actually kinda useless, so despite me already leaning socialist I realized that I couldn't say I was being exploited without sounding like a fool (bellhop). The real ones who provide the hotel it's value are the caretakers, the ones who clean and organize the rooms, fix broken lights, repair elevators, etc. There must be someone who is receiving the surplus value who did not incur the risk 100 years ago, as the hourly wage for being a housekeeper is $15/hr.

I understand how one can die of heartbreak now. I can count on one hand how many cups of yogurt I’ve eaten in the past ~4 days. Besides that, one slice of pizza. That’s all I can stomach. My appetite has vanished, and I’m forcing myself to eat what I can because I know I have to. I’ve lost 10lbs since Sunday.
I took the rest of the week off work; I can’t bring myself to call strangers and put on a happy facade right now. That, and when I’m sitting in my apartment, that’s when my thoughts consume me the most. They get dark, and it scares me.
I’m doing my best though. I’ve been spending a fair amount of time at the gym. I have to drag myself there just to get out of the apartment, and because it’s supposed to help me not feel this way anymore. I’ll try anything.
Did I tell you I have a therapy consultation tomorrow? I’m anxious about it, I wish you were here to help me. I figured you’d be proud of me for taking that step.
By the way, I’m typing this from TX right now. Since I took the week off anyway I thought it might do some good to be near family.

I’m feeling a little discouraged. I went to NYC for my very first time. I went for four days. I ate pretty unhealthy while there (sandwiches, pizza, pasta- the touristy classics people tell you to try). Though I ate unhealthy, I didn’t eat much. My boyfriend and I split almost everything. I would only buy pizza by the slice (and get 1 slice).
Also- even though I ate unhealthy, I am 95 % sure I had more calories out than in. Over the span of four days, we walked around 30 miles. My feet are covered in blisters and my body is aching. At my weight, this amount of walking burns a significant amount of calories. When I got back and weighed myself, I weighed around 5-7 lbs more (can’t remember exact weight). Could this be water weight, inflammation, etc.?
It may seem like I’m not being honest with myself about how much I ate, but it just doesn’t feel possible! (For example, the second day we had a bagel for breakfast (skipped lunch), grabbed a pastrami sandwich and split it, then ordered pizza later that night ( I had 2 slices). But we walked 12 miles that day.

No worries! You can customise all the weapon options in the CS2 buy menu. So you can have whatever weapons you want. There are 5 slots per weapon category, which should be more than enough to suit every style of match. And there is also a difference between T and CT setup.
Most people use f.e. this:
Pistols: P2000/USP - P250/Five Seven - CZ/Tek - Deagle. So still 1 spot left
Mid Tier: A type of shotgun - A type of SMG they like best. So still 3 spots left. 2 if you want to include a heavy.
Rifles: Famas/Galil - One type of M4/AK - SG/Aug - AWP. So still 1 spot left in which you can either give yourself the choice for the Scout or the other version of the M4. If you want both M4’s you probably don’t use the aug so you’ld still have 1 spot left. Or if you’re all out rifles you probably as we wouldn’t buy scout, and could still use AWP.
In short: You have enough slots to fulfil all your weapon needs in a game. And you can customise all of them. You now can even choose to be able to buy both M4 versions in a game.
Also I think it’s interesting this way because people can focus a little more on the playstyle they like and maybe this way we will get a little more respect for other people playing a different style (which might have them contribute in other ways than making 50 kills in a game).

So just some background, I’m 33 (f) and friday night, I happened to have a really bad fall and ended up hitting my ear (affected side) on a steel fire poker and then the next morning I woke up and something wasn’t right. When I went to the ER later that day, they put me on stroke alert bc I had fallen but they gave me a CT and it was clear so they diagnosed me with BP. I feel it’s important that I mention, I am also HIV+. I mention that bc in the ER, they doctor didn’t really explain anything to me. He told me that “bells is caused by the virus that gives people cold sores” I’ve never had herpes, shingles, chickenpox, or cold sores and the doctor didn’t say anything about maybe my hiv causing it, I had to look it up when I left the hospital. And I could be wrong. They prescribed me valacyclovir and prednisone and sent me on my marry way. I haven’t seen any improvement, and I actually think it’s worse than when I first noticed it on Saturday. They didn’t instruct me on any care instructions besides “wear an eye patch”. I’ve been told to rest, but like exactly how much rest and for how long? I’ve taken off work but I’m still up most of the day cleaning and taking care of stuff around my house and going to my already scheduled appointments, etc. I’m extremely depressed, and I just would like for someone to kind of let me know what I should be doing to help the recovery go faster. I know it’s a waiting game and each person is different but I saw online someone mentioning exercises etc? Any advice, or information would be super helpful.
