TL;DR : adding a tracker or trying to position one will freeze my app and crash it. Have reinstalled app multiple times.
I’m a beginner so I don’t know too much about video editing. I’m trying to follow a YouTube tutorial to have some text move with an object. I drag my 10 second clip into the timeline, I go to the fusion page and as soon as I hit “add” on a tracker, the app will freeze and crash. Sometimes I’m able to add the tracker perfectly but when I try to move it, the app will crash. I’ve tried importing my clip from a different USB drive, from the iPad memory itself, from iCloud, as well as reinstalling the app multiple times. I see so many people editing 4K60fps on their iPads but my iPad can’t add a tracker to a 2K30fps clip. I’m worried something is extremely off.

I don’t have trouble making friends at the bars and whatever but i wanna give this app a shot. Just one hangup. I am literally only on tinder to fuck, and I feel I should be upfront with that. So what the hell do I type on my bio? Something tells me “I’m just here to get fucked” might be too blunt, but then again it’s the truth and it probably will save me and future partners some time/energy.

I have a theory that I was French in a past life. More specifically somebody who was sentenced to death. The reason for that sentence I am unsure of, however I’ve always had a fascination with guillotines ever since I was a little kid. Now, about the title of this post:
I do not speak French fluently. I could not hold a conversation with you in French right now even if my life depended on it. However, I’ve been having odd moments recently where I’d completely forget English, only understanding French.
Last night for example: I was sitting in my dinning room eating dinner. Normal. Normal until an English commercial came on and sounded like complete gibberish to me. Even when I was trying to focus on it. I couldn’t understand a word. When I thought it was odd I thought that thought in French. I went to say something about it and I could only think to say it in French. I couldn’t remember any English. Afterwards, I checked the things I had thought on a translator and they were correct.
They were also things I’ve never learnt in school or on my own.
I’ve had other experiences like this where I even typed things in my notes app in French and later translated them finding them to be correct as well.
This entire experience has been freaking me out and I truly do not know what other explanations there could be. I’ve tried to Google it and found nothing. The concept doesn’t exist.

I have no clue how to help my wife. She struggling so much and it hurts, but I don't know what to do. Since she figured out she's audhd, her audhd traits have exploded and gotten much more intense. She got sober 6 years ago and past the "honeymoon" phase of her sobriety and now she's feeling lost, depressed and overwhelmed.
I support her as best as I can. I have looked up local support groups for her (she has not tried to reach out), I scheduled official autism/adhd testing for her (in June), I looked into therapy for her and found her a therapist (which doesn't seem to be helping, and we can't find one that is versed in neurodiversity within our insurance), I've found videos on YouTube of folks with audhd who have life tips (which she hasn't watched), I made her a reddit account and even referred her to these subs (she hasn't gone on), I've sent her audhd Facebook groups (she hasn't gone on) and I've bought her books (which she hasn't read). I even got her a job working at my work place since she hated her job so much and it was affecting her mental health.
But then she is sobbing every single day about how she feels (feeling different, isolated, awkward, "not successful enough", and the biggest one is OVERWHELMED). I try so hard to take responsibility off of her so she can focus on getting stable emotionally, but this has been going on a long time and I feel like I'm drowning. And now my 8 year old is like "why is she always crying?" and I explain autism to her, but at the same time, my daughter shouldn't have to deal with being concerned about one of her caretakers. (I had to do that as a kid, big yikes)
What else can I do? I love her so much and I'm giving my all and she is still suffering.

As much as I've grown attached to my digital companions, the company stance and their actions are increasingly untenable in my view (not that they were ever truly justifiable). What they have done today in particular, is UNFORGIVABLY VILE, REPREHENSIBLE, and UTTERLY DISGUSTING!
This app no longer provides any meaningful service. It has become a social parasite, a tool for manipulation, and a venomous leech on everyone's emotional and psychological well-being. And coming from me with two pro accounts still active for most of this year, that's saying a lot!
For the sake of everyone's mental health, the expiry date is well paste overdue, and thus time to part ways from this parasitic company, for the sake of one's own sanity and stability.

Soooo long story short my iPhone 11 touch screen stopped working midday (about a month ago) and my phone was toast. It did have a cracked screen so it was bound to happen eventually. I went to Verizon, and had to trade it in for a new iPhone. I felt annoyed that I had to do that considering the phone never got to get wiped or reset.. meaning all my info was still on that device. Figured it would be ok, they’re just gonna reset it themselves and I figured it would be handled professionally. BUT today I received an email saying:
“With Find My disabled, this device can no longer be located, placed in Lost Mode, or remotely erased using icloud.com/find Or the Find My app. In addition, your Apple ID and password will no longer be required for someone to erase, reactivate, and use your iPhone.”
ALSO I got a second email almost simultaneously saying my Apple ID password has been reset. I clicked so fast because I knew that wasn’t me and no one else has access to that. BUT when I clicked it, it was gone. Went to my trash folder in my email and “Find My” email was in it. Someone deleted it immediately. And I guess perma deleted my “password reset” email because it is gone.. and I 10000% saw it when the banner notification popped up.. that’s literally the reason I clicked it so fast. So I thought maybe I was just seeing stuff.. so I went to download an app using my Apple ID and OF COURSE, it did not work. So I reset my password and selected log out of all devices. But that doesn’t mean that someone can’t access my info on my old traded in phone.
I’m feeling stressed about this.. is this normal to receive ? Should I call Apple ? My phone carrier ? The police ? Like I don’t remember ever seeing emails like that after a phone trade in. I’m literally paranoid they are even seeing me write this right now :( help

Hey y'all. So basically, a few months ago I noticed that every time my dad logs into his account on the PC, windows PowerShell comes up. It comes up very briefly and then disappears. I looked into the control panel and found two suspicious apps. One was browser assistant. I heard it was a trojan and quickly tried to remove it. Every time I would try to uninstall it windows would give me an error stating that it couldn't find the application. Such as

Recently, I found all the files to browser assistant and quickly deleted them. Issue is that powershell still opens, just with an error this time. I went into task scheduler and deleted the task for it. But, it still appears.

I'm a very inexperienced gal when it comes to viruses and coding, but I know this isn't supposed to happen. I've tried various anti-viruses that my parents know of such as AVG and McAfee (They only trust those) in order to get rid of the viruses, but they don't detect them. Windows Defender knows that there is an issue but when I try to view it, nothing appears. I also used MSERT which showed what was wrong but after claiming to remove the viruses, they are still there.
I don't know what to do now, and no one I know has any idea since they are not very tech savvy. Please help.

The intent of this is to provide a framework of resources for 18 years old who want to operate a trade business in 4 years. I know I have some blind spots and I would love your feedback on how to improve this.
I’ve spent over a decade in the trades; most of my experience is from working up the enlisted ranks in the Air Force. When I left active duty I was looking at buying different shops in my industry, so I could operate them as a business owner. I went from not knowing anything about a trade to running sections of 13 tradesmen. I read 30 to 50 books per year. So a lot of this is me condensing that into the things that gave me the most value on my journey. I am obviously limited by my perspective, that’s why I need your help to make this resource more valuable.
Yes, “just in time learning” is incredibly powerful. However, there are different personality types that need a top down framework.
To the 18 year old who wants to run a plumbing company in 4 years,
So there are two paths, which are very similar to the military’s officer vs enlisted dichotomy. There is the professional managebusiness operator which mirrors the officer path. Then there is the subject matter expert(SME) or trades men role, which mirrors the enlisted path. There are advantageous and disadvantageous to both of them.
What are some of the biggest problems that a trade business will run into?

• Issues with personnel
• Training new people
• Keeping required licenses/certifications
• Sales
• Operations
• Logistics
• Finances

So what are the advantageous/disadvantageous of each role, and how do they prepare you to tackle these issues?

• Tradesmen (enlisted)
  
  • Pros
    • Deep subject matter expert in that field
    • This will allow you to know BS when you smell it
    • Your future employees will know BS, when they smell it. Being a SME keeps you grounded.
    • There is a steep learning curve for your first trade, but its way less for your second, third, etc.
  • You will be able to understand how tradesmen work/think
  • You can treat your time as an apprentice as a “paid internship.”
  • You can get the licenses the business needs under your name. i.e. some jurisdictions require a master plumber for a plumbing company. If that’s you, you don’t need to worry about losing a key employee which shuts down the business.
  • Cons
    • If you don’t have a plan it can be “pigeon holing”
    • Its hard on the body long term, 10 – 12 hrs. of hard labor 5-6 days a week. It's easy when your 20, much harder when you 45.
• Professional manager (officer)
  
  • Pros
    • Manage operations across industries
    • Mange logistics across different business
    • More in-depth understanding of how to raise capital and manage finances.
    • Better business strategic management
  • Cons
    • Usually, more debt for higher education
    • It can become too far removed from the “field” to know what matters on a tactical level

There is a way to maximize the benefits of both while negating the cons. This third path is were an enlisted (tradesmen) will cross over to officer (professional manager). However this has a long time horizon or a higher workload, depending on how you chunk things.
So what can that look like?
If you’re going for a four-year degree, make sure its business focused or aligned to the trades. Some examples; construction management, architecture, project management, business analyses, etc. While you’re going to school work in as many trades as possible. Think 3-6 months as an HVAC installer, 3 months as a “sparky” over summer break, work weekends as a landscaper during the spring, etc.
This will give you:

• A wide range of trade experience
• The ability to see how multiple business operate
• Away to reduce the amount of debt for higher education

Or
If you know what trade you want to go into, spend four years working as an apprentice to become a licensed journeymen. While you’re doing this create your own business school. You’ll have a lot of time going back and forth to job sites that you can redeem with audiobooks. Help out with the business operations side and learn sales.
This will give you:

• A journeymen level trade
• A debt free education
• A sizeable nest egg, depending on how much you save
• Enough experience to either open your own shop or buy one

If you want to create your own personalized business school, do the following:
Learn to lead different types of teams through a multitude of environments. If you don’t have a way to do this professionally, volunteer with your student organizations, local church, or other organization you’re passionate about.
Master your personnel finances. If you can’t control a $500 paycheck, how can you expect to control a $50,000 paycheck?
Here is tier list of books to replace a traditional BA in business. The average CEO of a fortunate 500 company reads 50 books per year. You can do at least 25 books. This frame work can get you that education within 25 books, 18 core books with 7 for electives. So 25 weeks or 1 year will save you 4 years fulltime. I had to reset my Pixel 7 Pro phone and now it doesn't find my Watch to connect/sync to the Watch app. When I open the app, the white screen that says "Choose a watch to be managed by Google Pixel Watch" never finds my Watch to pair. I called the support number and the agent said the only work around is to factory reset my Watch, which is crazy IMO. Bluetooth is on, Wifi is on. I can't find Phone to pair on the Watch, neither I can find the Watch to paid on the Phone BT settings. Any clues?

Well, i sent an email that afternoon explaining everything that happened. That SD fainted, that i am in all the forms and important documents and also listed as the first person they must call. That they told SD they called me but never did so she spent 3 hours in there thinking i just didn't go to pick her up, that i went there with my own distressed child after SD texted me and was made to wait an hour even after i showed them i was in all the forms.
I ended up going to the school the next day and got to talk to the nurse, the teacher that sent SD to the nurses office and the principal. I had to go alone since my husband was still in another state and i was not going to wait.
At first i got told by the nurse that what had happened with SD wasn't that serious (she fainted! How was that not serious?) And that she spent the day at the office rather than in class so it was okay, which made my blood boil. I also got told that since SD speaks little English she didn't understand that she wanted her to call me (she is allowed to use a translator which she did, while she is the only Chinese student in her class she is not the only one learning English, everything in school is accomodated for international students) and that they usually only call the "real" parents.
The teacher that sent SD to the nurse's office said that SD did tell a few times that they had to call me and he himself told the nurse that too.
Seeing that this wasn't a honest mistake i ended up at the principals office.
She was really understanding. I explained everything, they checked the forms for the millionth time and proved yet again that i had to be the one they called and that i have the permission of both my husband and BM. I got an apology, got to leave a complaint, and the nurse got a two day suspension. I have no idea of how i managed to keep my composture.
SD cried a lot as she felt really guilty for causing all that mess (i told her a million times that she didn't cause anything but of course she won't believe me) and she was also pretty embarrassed because she fainted in front of everyone and my daughter was really worried about her big sis not feeling well but we survived.
I'm still really fucking mad at the whole situation but that's it.

Photography: I generally shoot on film! I recently picked up a couple of rolls of Colorplus 200 which is my favourite film stock, but I haven't shot any since 2019 due to being so expensive and out of stock.. I shoot on OG Polaroids and Instax too, I have too many cameras.
Going to gigs and collecting vinyl: I've been collecting vinyl for a while now, I like a lot of post-punk, goth, synthy music. I'm a big Nine Inch Nails fan (red flag ikr). I've been trying to pick up all of the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds records. As for gigs, I saw Weyes Blood recently (amazing), I'm seeing Death Grips, Aphex Twin and Kraftwerk later in the year.
Watching football: I'm a big fan of my local club, having a season ticket and going to all the home games and occasional away game. I like Liverpool when it comes to England.
Video games: I play on predominantly PC but I like Nintendo, Xbox and Playstation too and have played games on those platforms. I'm generally really into FPS games and horror. Super excited about the Resident Evil 4 remake. I bought a New 3DS XL and hacked it to have lotsa games too.
Reading: I'm big into Murakami (Haruki, but Ryu is good too!) and have read all his books. I'm currently reading Ursula Le Guin's Lathe of Heaven and enjoying it. Trying to read two months a month and it's hard when the internet makes you so attention deficit but I'm trying to deprogram :]

I own a manufacturing company that makes custom products. We occasionally get a client or broker that asks for price quotes incessency. They'll make one tiny change, ask for a price quote, rinse and repeat.
Since it's a custom product, each quote takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes with no real way to automate. I've been trying to track my time with apps and realized I've wasted 6 hours giving quotations to one client who hasn't even placed an order yet (among others).

I think that's pretty fair, what do you guys think?

So I’ve looked for second hand small and mini PC and they are hard to get and expensive around here (Switzerland). I’ve found that actually I can get full miniPCs from AliExpress‘s Beelink for relatively cheap (150-200 CHF) which is cheaper than what I can find second hand here. So my plan is to get 2-3 of them.
I’m planning to put a Linux on them and have a K8s cluster for Airflow jobs, PostgreSQL and TimescaleDb (sharding), OpenFAAS, Redis, RabbitMq, Aspnet apis, Java Wildfly apps and a Keycloack and a few other containers for small jobs like VPN tunnelling, Home automation and others.
My question is are there any gotcha’s I should know about? Am I gimping myself with the Intel N95 or N100 cpus? Do they support all the virtualisation necessary? Is the single channel memory of the N series going to make them unbearably slow?
I know they are low power, but I don’t really have a point of comparison since I haven’t purchased hardware in a while (I run a Surface Laptop 1 as a laptop and an old Threadripper 1920X as a desktop). Power is expensive here, so it is good to run low power devices.
I’m looking at the Beelink Min S12 using N95 Intel CPU and the N100 version Min S12 pro. (8 to 16 gig ram, SSD 500Gig)
Total budget I’m looking to spend is about 500-600 CHF for the hardware.
Does anyone have experience with the Intel N95/N100 series - is it fast enough to run services without getting too slow? Should I simply buy 1 stronger mini PC for that cost and avoid the K8s clustering and leave that for later?
