I 16 female junior in high school need some advice. I'm fighting with my mom and dad, because I will not allow my older sister 29 female's 6 year old son play with my nintendo swtich anymore. I love my nephew dearly, but he is a brat! My sister and her husband 34 male had been trying for forever to have kids, but sister kept having miscariages and for a while looked like they'd never have a kid. But, since nephew is born, everyone has been treating him like he's the second coming and fawning over him and letting him get away with murder! He screams and cries all the time when he doesn't get his way and break his toys when's frustrated(on purpose). He's rarely if ever punsihed for it because "he's just a kid he dosen't know any better"
I've been working part time at a Taco Bell on weekends in order to save up to go to college when I graduate next year, and to have spending cash. It took forever to save up enough money to get a switch and games for it. Not that I hardly ever tp get to play it. My mom babysits my nephew and when OI got it he insisted on playing it, so my parents made me not keep the switch in my room and let him play it, and he's on it the whole time he's there. Nephew has a nasty habit of throwing the joycon controller when he's mad he can't beat a game/level and breaking the joycons which are not cheap. I've asked my sister if she and her husband could replace them, or get him his own switch, but they're alwasy like "We can't afford one right now we have bills to pay, besides, its just a game!" Which is fair, but my parents don't often replace the controller.
Last night, nephew got mad he couldn't beat the boss in a game and and threw and broke another joycon controller! I got mad and took the switch and moved it out of the den/playroom and took it to my bedroom and said: "That's it! I'm tired of replacing controllers! Your not allowed to play on my switch anymore!". Well he started screaming and my parents got mad at me and told me I was being a brat for taking the switch away. They said "You need to grow up and stop acting so entitled and focus on my work and studies and I'm too old for games!" Of course, I told them that's not fair and I do work my butt off and I just want to keep my switch in one piece and maybe be able to play it! My dad grounded me for a month meaning I'm only allowed to go to and from school and work, and they took my switch and said I'm not allowed to use it if I can't share! Even though I paid for it with my own money! So AM I the Asshole?

Hello fine well-driller folk,
I recently had an existing well re-drilled and deepened, and the cost came in close to the estimate, except apparently a 6" hammer drill bit broke during the course of the drilling and the company is charging me the cost to replace it -- about $750 dollars.
That may not seem like much, but that's a lot of money to me right now.
My question is, is this industry standard? Are client normally charged for broken bits or equipment? Isn't this just part of the normal operational costs for operating a drill rig?
I'd love to know your thoughts. Thanks.

It's been another witching hour last night, and I just finished a can of beer, hoping to finally get some decent sleep. But here goes another ramble of thoughts.
Maybe, let me tell you kids a story. Yes, I'll be using a reference from "How I Met Your Mother" throughout this post. It seems to have played a significant part in my non-existent love life.
For some context, back in the days of downloaded series and borrowing portable hard drives, there was this guy who gave me a copy of all 208 episodes of How I Met Your Mother. We were at the university library, pretending to be two students sharing notes for a class activity. No, we didn't date. Our pseudo-relationship lasted for four years. Yes, you read that right. We didn't date. It was three years later when I saw a Facebook post where a girl claimed to be Lily and you’re the Marshall. Yes, he was the guy in the photo. Unfortunately, I wasn't the girl who was supposed to be Lily.
And so, I deleted it all, freeing up around 13GB of my laptop's memory. But my memory isn't the same. You'll find out why sooner or later.
Kids, this story isn't about that guy. I don't want to bore you with all the details of why I haven't been able to commit myself to any kind of relationship for the past six years. Frankly, I don't even know what a relationship should or shouldn't be. Here, I am the Robin.
I've hopped from one app to another, hoping to find someone and instantly meet the one person who's willing to eat the pieces of carrots I so meticulously set aside on my plate. You see, I don't want to use olives as a reference. But for several years, I haven't had any luck. There were attempts, but I've been lemon law-ing myself out of every possibility of being in a relationship.
Not until three days after the worst birthday I had last year. I found myself on that dating app again, mindlessly swiping right and left on profiles. And then, I found a match. I checked his profile, nothing really unusual except for his bio.
Now, I know that when I mention the following statements, you'll know this is you, provided that you still remember. And I apologize, although my apologies would probably just dissipate into thin air at this point.
His bio said something like: "...law student...pangarap kong magnotaryo sa ilalim ng footbridge ng [redacted place]."
And my message to him in reference to that was: "Ede kung nasa ilalalim ka ng foot bridge magnonotaryo, pano na yung kasabihan na no one is above the law?"
And that's where it all started. You know the basics. They say there are different levels of anonymity for every messaging app you transition into. We started with Telegram, then Instagram, Messenger, Facebook, iMessage. Damn, we even tried to do a virtual karaoke in Rave and played every game available on Messenger.
It was a lot like the scene where Ted fell in love with Robin almost instantly. But yes, I was the Robin. I wasn't ready to receive the "I love you." Except there was no "I love you,"—maybe a confession of feelings or intent. And I just laughed it off. I didn't know what to say. He must have hated me at that time because he mentioned being quite nervous while waiting for me to get home so he could call me. I said I needed time to process it. And as usual, I express myself better through writing, so I wrote to him. It was quite a long chat, if I may say.
I entertained the thought of finally investing my safe-kept feelings for years. So, after six years, I reached out to the guy who first introduced me to HIMYM. That's why it took me seven years to have the guts to watch the series just now. I told him things I hadn't been able to tell him before. I wanted to hold him accountable. I demanded closure, so I could finally open up once again.
I would be lying if I said my trust issues and anxiety weren't triggered by simply saying yes to it. I knew I couldn't afford another "left in the rain, crying on the stairs alone" moment again.
Despite that, I was happy. Maybe it's safe to say that we were happy. For a while.
But life caught up with us. The universe seemed to be against us finally meeting each other in person. Too many reschedulings and cancelled meet-ups happened over those four months. It felt like the year 2006 in Ted's and Robin's timeline.
And just like in 2006, when Ted realized during Claudia and Stuart's wedding, "...it has to just be easy. Easy. Simple."
Almost the same lines I read in your letter, days before Christmas last year. And I agree, it wasn't simple. We both grew tired of it. I guess, as a Robin (and not just because I hate malls), I saw that even though you have chemistry, you also need one other thing: Timing. And in our story, Timing is a real bitch.
As much as I wanted to be a Robin and ask whether there's any part of you that wants to try again, I'd rather not. Although I also have a yellow bus displayed in my apartment, I know at this point that I will not be your Tracy.

I have a 2011 ford ranger with 116,000 miles on it. In the last year I’ve replaced the rack and pinion twice, and it’s leaking once again. It’s for sure not the pump. I know I have to replace it, but is there any reason my truck would have eaten through 3 in a year? The suspension was revamped last may (shocks, struts, all ball joints, a CV axle, tie rod. New tires and brakes, rack and pinion). I had to replace the rack and pinion this February due to it leaking power steering fluid. Now it’s leaking again, and the worst it’s leaked any of these times. Is there’s something I should be looking for that would cause another one to fail? Or did I get 2 bad replacement parts back to back? The shop that did the work in February closed up shop a month ago so I can’t go back to them on warranty.

Preface: I do like this show. It’s entertaining and I actively watch it. But this post will be heavy in criticism of the finale, and the season itself.
My wife said it best about the finale, ‘it felt like another episode’. I wasn’t expecting genius-level writing, dialogue, and/or acting… but I agree. This finale didn’t really end on any big moment. Yes, Natalie died(?), but the moment itself wasn’t the larger part of the episode- it was Kevyn’s death. Hell, even him getting shot by Walter wasn’t the biggest part of his two-part-death- it was that he’d trust a random person at a seems-to-be cult in the woods with his beverage. Is Kevyn that naive? Did he think that the loonies in the woods were normal people? What was the deal with the two Checkov’s guns? Both made appearances in the show at earlier parts but neither were used for death? Sure Callie popped Lottie a good shot (she wasn’t in pain?), but Lisa’s gun was just used for a threat (where the hell did she go after Nat got super-drugged?). Sure one could argue subverting expectations, but this show isn’t too strong at that. The finale, to me, fell flat. But this season isn’t as strong as the first season.
I know a lot have rewatched (and rewatched) the seasons, so I see the complaints about this season as valid. The series premier is a good example for what they can get out of acting, directing, lines, and shots. This season was entertaining, but here are some ways that fell flat.

1. Where in the fuck is Sammy?
2. The acting of some of the people on this season were wooden-as-hell. Juliette Lewis was/is the weakest link of the main women left. Lauren Ambrose has done a fantastic job at being consistent.
3. Melanie Lynskey, either through directing or delivery, can’t decide if she’s in Two and a Half Men, or a serious drama.
4. The way this show is shot for a lot of the episodes are boring, and non-dynamic (save for the finale).
5. Do none of these ladies have a day-job? 6. Tai is an elected official, and no one is missing her? A trucker gave her a ride across some of the country and that wasn’t news?
6. Mr. Asshole Cop got Callie drunk to get information from her, and that never comes back up?
7. Kevyn has drugs in his system, Mr. Asshole Cop could have easily told the truth, and he’d be fine. Kevyn would most certainly have an autopsy performed.
8. Is Tai’s wife still alive?
9. Who’s taking care of Tai’s dog?
10. Of course Javi was still alive, this became easily apparent after Nat cut her leg and faked his bloody clothes.

There’s probably some I missed, but you can voice your opinion too. If I missed an answer to some questions, please point them out.

Rules:
1: if you don't like 50/50 mixture of sex scenes and story, don't bother hopping into my inbox. I'm fine with sex scenes, but when it's constantly back to back, the roleplay itself gets boring.
2: Be literate. No one liners. I like to write..it's annoying when I send a 2-3 paragraph response and I get 3 lines...just...no. I am not accepting people who are just starting out! If you aren't experienced in writing or roleplaying, kindly stay out of my inbox.
3: Be okay with playing canon characters. I'm mainly doing fandom roleplays right now and it's going to be Canon x my oc. No, I'm not doing double ups. Do not even ask, because the answer will be no every time. I do not give a shit if you think that makes me 'lazy' or 'selfish', if you've got a problem, you can simply ignore or block me. Commenting on my post to bitch and whine about me not doubling up will only result in me blocking you. The ONLY time I'll double up, and if I'm confident enough, I'll only do female characters. I suck at males. Got a problem? Not my issue. Block and move on.
4: Roleplay in third person. I can't and won't adapt to first. Don't even bring up the idea of you playing first person and me playing third. Believe it or not, I've been asked this twice and that is just a hell no for me. The only time I do first, is when I'm writing into my book.
5: if you don't know how to share ideas, then don't bother messaging me. I'm tired of carrying the story when the other person doesn't help. If you've got ideas, then PLEASE speak up! Your opinion on the roleplay matters too! I'm an easy going person, and easy to get along with (dispite my rules).
6: DO NOT control my character. I control what she says, does, hears, sees, ect. I don't control yours, so don't control mine. HOWEVER, if it's highly necessary and needed, then run it by me first and ask me. Just leave me some wiggle room so I can make a decent response. Failure to comply by this rule, results in immediate drop of the rp.

Yes, I've updated my rules just a tad. I do not care if it makes me sound mean or rude, because I'm neither of these things. I'm just tired of putting these rules down for a specific reason and they go ignored because I can tell when someone hasn't read them, and lied about it. I'm just trying to get my point across and roleplay. I'm a very easy going person who loves to make friends on the side (which I've somewhat given up on making friends...only a selective few have actually gained my friendship).
Do not hop into my inbox with a simple 'hey' 'hi' 'sup', etc and for God's sake, don't message me with a 'rp?'and proceed me to flash me with your talliwhacker. I transitioned into a male, 3 years T and had top surgery. I'm a masculine male most of the time and pass as cis, but I do enjoy crossdressing sometimes as a fun art form. I am both masculine and feminine, both expressions feel like part of who I am. Strangers read me as an feminine gay male and I love that.
Now that my body(sans genitials) is pretty obviously male, I find it freeing to wear things I never could before, and it's fun imo. I love women's button ups, they have nice patterns(fruits, stripes, flowers, etc.) and they look really nice on male chests, I like to layer them over men's tank tops, it looks awesome imo. Men's clothes are often really generic and bland looking, which is fine but I need at least some color in my wardrobe. I wear light makeup sometimes(mainly eyeliner) and paint my nails, I was self-conscious at first but I get compliments on it a lot. Same with wearing graphic tees for "girly" shows, I just get seen as a man who likes feminine things so I quit overthinking.
I cross-dress as a woman sometimes just for fun, it doesn't cause dysphoria anymore because my body is so far removed from looking female.
You might think I'm non-binary. Nope. Therapists even try to tell me I'm non-binary, encouraging me to be NB.
I really hate the non-binary movement.
I feel like being GNC just isn't allowed anymore, you have to non-binary. Sex isn't even part of the conversation because 'gatekeeping', so now you gender is defined by really dumb attributes like 'do you like skirts', 'do you like the smell of lillies or pine trees', 'do you enjoy this hobby, it's really stupid! IDK how many women I've met who have identified as NB because of stuff like 'I like the color black over pink', it's ridiculous. Non-binary has killed the term GNC and replaced it, now making not liking arbitrary gender roles mean you are trans. Which is pretty dangerous, being trans is about sex characteristics. Subs like FTM scare me, so many young people on there clearly are fine with being female but do T for cosmetic reasons and do NOT want to be male, I feel like I am in crazy town.
I don't want to dismiss all NB people, but it seems like nearly all of them either don't have dysphoria, or are confusing NB with being GNC.
I was considering detransition because I thought like feminine things meant I couldn't be male. But when I actually tried being female again, it was short-lived, I couldn't stand it. The thought of having no facial hair, having a female voice, being socialized as female, and using my female organs made me want to kms, just like before I passed as male.
I found a gender therapist who wasn't a tucute, who drilled me about how I feel about my current sex characteristics, my dysphoria, and asked difficult questions, which it became very quickly apparent my brain was male and my confusion was all social. I had to sift through all these tucutes telling me it's okay to be "transmasc" to find anyone who had any idea what they were talking about and I know my experience is very common. Sex is so critical to talk about when discussing being trans, but people won't do it! Until sex comes back into the conversation, cis people will continue experiencing gender confusion as being trans is so broad and detransition. This is why I call myself transmed.

I have a bizarre starting problem with my 1998 toyota 4runner. 315 000 miles
The problem goes something like this, and its been going on for 2 years now. Between WFH and having a second vehicle I dont drive it much but I have experienced the following problems.
First, this only occurs when the ambient temperature is below 60 degrees F and the vehicle is cold.
I start the vehicle, and the vehicle starts normally. I drive for a short cycle, example, to the gas station near my house.
I turn off the vehicle. The vehicle now refuses to start for anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour but typically around 15 minutes. By no start I mean, the starter does not fire and the engine does not crank.
After it sits, it starts normally. If I drive long enough for the engine to reach operating temperature, again, normal behavior. When the ambient temperature is above 75 degrees F, it does not occur either.
This winter, it refused to start at all during a period of cold weather. I replaced the starter with a remanufactured DENSO starter. The issue appeared solved. The starter contacts were worn. Ok, no problem.
Issue returns. I replace the battery and starter relay last month (battery tested bad, however, I have been through three batteries now with this problem, relay contacts were very worn). Issue appears solved. Now, it has returned on my camping trip where the weather is cold at higher elevation. I cant replicate it at home because the weather is too hot now.
Im at a loss. It's clearly an intermittent connection somewhere. The starter relay is clicking when I turn the key, but the starter does not crank. I dont know where to look at this point short of shotgun replacing parts. Im suspecting its a bad ground/battery cable.
There is an aftermarket alarm system installed by the previous owner in the vehicle. Im not sure if that could cause the problem or not. I need this vehicle to be reliable, I take it into the backwoods pretty regularly.
Where do I start? I ruled out anything in the circuits for the ignition switch because it appears that the relay is firing during the no crank periods.

Okay, so, FF6PR was one of the handful of FFs I've not beaten, nor do I know how they end that are currently out as of typing this (late may 2023 if you're in the future and FF16 came out).
The other's where I don't know how they "end" are: Tactics and Tactics Advance, I guess I technically don't know how FF3's final areas conclude... as in, I know the big stuff because FF14, but I don't know the post-final fight stuff, um, oh and 11 and since I play 14, I don't plan on playing it, especially after my friend showed me exactly how old school it is and I just went "and that's why I don't play it... everything you said, went in one ear and out the other and I was trying to understand it!" I guess I don't know how FFCC ends, but I have a GCN with it, so I could find out at some point.
Anyway, point is, as you might notice, I either beat or know how they end on the other games. Like, more than the average fan... and actually I just beat FFV last week or so before today and beating FFVI. Now, I'm just gonna say, I love good sprite work, game was beautiful, I had a 4-man squad that was too overleveled and, aside from 2 dying between me selecting my actions and not being able to arise, I nearly 1-party'd the final boss, as in just 4 people *almost* beat Kefka, I was too high level at 80, but, that's namely from grinding all my espers out and yeah, just yeah, steamrolled the whole tower with them, I just had 2 people get hit and they died and then I moved stages which meant I couldn't rez them with Arise sadly... oh well.
Anyway, this is probably in the top 5, like coming from a person who plays tons of games and have played many FFs... this is almost assuredly in my top 5, and yeah "bad takes for top 5" but 2+DoS on GBA is in there alongside FF8, which I played before 7, which is probably up there too, just there order in which I played the games, lengths of times that I did that, etc. I just identify with Squall more, especially at the time, being capable but socially awkward, being afraid of not being good enough (yeah, I have military experience, so weirdly, I can identify him on that level too, but before then it was friends, saying something stupid, trying to "not care" and stuff, like FF8 speaks to me on many levels, FF2, well, mostly to do with DoS add-on, dunno if I'd like it as much, but the fact that you get better at anything is by casting the spell more, using certain weapon types more, etc, etc, etc, if you want someone to be better at something, you literally used that thing and you'd naturally just get better over time, yeah, it just made intuitive sense, even if it wasn't really ever seen again...
But this is about FF6 and I can see why people said "play 6 or Tactics next" when I asked for suggestions on my previous post... namely because I was trying to decide between the games I haven't beaten or haven't beaten in a VERY long time (FF4 DS, I beat FF4 GBA, but never finished DS, so was considering it as an option), but 6 was a very good call, the game does a great job of conveying the importance of the cause, my main gripe is Terra being optional in pt 2... she's the freaking outline of the game logo, her at the beginning of the game, and they, for some reason, despite her being important in WoB, come WoR it's a "meh, bring her or don't" and like, everyone who isn't her, Gerad or the world's biggest gambler, they're all flipping optional! I get that it's cool, but at the same time, kinda feels like something Terra of all the others should also be mandatory for, with a side of Locke and Sabin for, hopefully, obvious reasons.
Anyway, had a fine time, game was good, and yeah, I feel it improved on FF4, my closest point of comparison as, well, FF5 is more closely related to FF3 and Bravely Default series than other games tbh... so, I feel it improved on FF4, another game I hold in high esteem though I really feel like Terra shoulda been a mandatory character considering her WoB importance, and that's my main casting gripe. I guess like after Mog feels weird, Gogo, Umaro, like they just feel like secret characters that exist for the sake of having secret characters, not, actually good characters that are hidden... I mean, to me, both Gau and Relm feel more relevant than Gogo or Umaro, and Mog feels borderline weird, but still okay, as yeah, also a bit hidden, but also helps Locke and Terra at the beginning of the game and helps tell the story after Ultros... so he feels like he belongs slightly more.
Now, please understand, I am not saying Gau/Relm/Mog or anyone else is superior to Gogo or Umaro, I just, I feel Mog makes more sense than Gogo, and I mean, being the boss of Umaro... I feel is odd for Mog, but hey, I'm just giving my feelings on the matter, NOT, in terms of facts in this case. Like once I got them I found myself wondering "why did I bother?" and subsequently answered myself with "because, all characters. You obsess over stuff like this. Stop asking dumb questions." And quite frankly I'm right, it is why I got everyone and ended up only needing "6" (the 2 replacements got KO'd near-immediately, turns out repeated 9999 Ultima off 1MP and constant 9999 1MP Curaga tends to stop you from dying off 8k HP, dunno why. /s
All in all, I enjoyed it thanks to those of you who suggested I try it, I think I'll go and play 9 before I learn how it ends (like I know about Kuja because Dissidia 012, but much like FF12, no real idea of the end of the game, just that Kuja is a villain *shrug*) from somewhere else... then 16 will likely be near to releasing or released once I finish it. Oh and yes, I'm aware of Excalibur 2, I'm not going for Excalibur 2 on my first run... for, hopefully, obvious reasons.

I recently acquired two Open Road 3200 LTD road bike from my neighbor. They have been sitting there for years and are in need of some serious repairs and restoration. I love cycling and I thought it would be a great project to work on this summer to restore the bike to its former glory.
However, I have no experience working with bikes and I would appreciate some guidance on what replacement parts I need, how to go about the restoration process and any tips or recommendations you might have.
Here are some details about the bike that I know:

• It is a road bike from the 1980s.
• The frame is in decent shape.
• It has Shimano gears and brakes.
• The tires are flat and the wheels seem to be misaligned.
• The seat and handlebar tape are worn out.

I am willing to invest in replacement parts and tools to get the job done right. I am also open to any advice you have for a beginner bike mechanic.

If he loses, he'll have no choice now but to define who he is outside of Logan and the company. Call me optimistic but if he somehow survives losing, and finds a way forward -- then I think he will not die as his father did: lonely, miserable, feared, cruel, and ultimately hollow.

The French economist Thomas Piketty once wrote:

Every human society must justify its inequalities: unless reasons for them are found, the whole political and social edifice stands in danger of collapse. Every epoch therefore develops a range of contradictory discourses and ideologies for the purpose of legitimizing the inequality that already exists or that people be­lieve should exist. From these discourses emerge certain economic, social, and political rules, which people then use to make sense of the ambient social struc­ture. Out of the clash of contradictory discourses—a clash that is at once eco­nomic, social, and political—comes a dominant narrative or narratives, which bolster the existing inequality regime.

Property is the core justification for the poverty, hierarchy, and inequality inherent to capitalism. Why can't an unhoused person sleep in an empty home? The landlord owns it. Why can't a hungry person take food from a store? The store owns it. The opposition takes a cold-not-cruel stance, with Murray Rothbard declaring that:

if a man aggresses against another's person or property to save his own life, he may or may not be acting morally in so doing. [. . .] Regardless of whether his action is moral or immoral, by any criterion, he is still a criminal aggressor against the property of another, and the victim is within his right to repel that aggression by force, and to prosecute the aggressor afterward for his crime

These responses are based on the presumption that property is derived from a just code of ethics. In this post, I challenge this presumption and critically examine the philosophical foundations of the properietary world we live in. I start by defining the natural rights framework of property, then I explain why admixture doesn't work, then I explain the historical implications of admixture, and finally I explain why an individualist approach to property doesn't make sense.

The Admixture Theory, Explanation With Quotes

Contemporary property is mainly justified using the admixture theory. As the argument goes, individuals own themselves, therefore they own their labor, therefore they own whatever they mix their labor with. On the acquisition of property, John Locke, the father of liberalism, wrote:

The labour of his body, and the work of his hands, we may say, are properly his. Whatsoever then he removes out of the state that nature hath provided, and left it in, he hath mixed his labour with, and joined to it something that is his own, and thereby makes it his property.

Propertarians (known as "libertarians" in America) make a similar argument, although it supposes the Earth as unowned by default, instead of Locke who supposed the Earth to be the common inheritance of everybody. This nuance is why liberals believe that property should be subject to the well-being of others, and propertarians believe that property should be absolute. In an article describing Rothbard's views, David Gordon wrote:

Once one accepts self-ownership the justification for private property soon follows. Each person owns his own labor. Does he not have a right, then, to what he produces by means of that labor? To deny this is to revert once more to slavery; it is to say that other people have the right to control your labor.

Amixture can therefore be summed up as: "an ethical theory which supposes that labor legitimizes property claims." In particular, I'll be evaluating the argument that (a) individuals have a property right in their own body, (b) therefore individuals have a property right in their own labor, and (c) therefore they have a property right in whatever they mix their labor with.

Mixing Labor

There are two issues with mixing labor: a) labor can't be owned, and b) labor can't be mixed with the material world.
Lysander Spooner describes property as:

a right of absolute dominion over a commodity, whether the owner wish to retain it in his own actual possession and use, or not.

Whoever has just control over an object is its proprietor, and others must respect the authority of the proprietor and only interact with the object or space on the proprietor's terms. This relationship doesn't make sense when applied to concepts beyond the material world.
Labor is not an object. It is not a space that can be occupied. It is an action. It doesn't make sense for an action to have an owner. A surgeon doesn't own the operations they perform. A baseball player doesn't own the swings they hit. A traveler doesn't own the kilometers they walked.
In order for a thing to be owned, the proprietor must be able to exclude others from it. Others must be able to interact with it. Nobody can interact with an action. They can only interact with the thing that performs the action. Therefore, individuals may own themselves, but the actions they perform cannot be owned.
As a corollary, actions cannot be mixed with the material world. Substances can be mixed. Actions aren't substances. In reality, "mixing labor" is simply a metaphor for "doing work." That is, changing the material world.
Property theorists supposed that, by combining something owned with something unowned, the unowned thing becomes owned. Since labor cannot be owned or mixed with the material world, this justification is no longer valid, since the individual never mixed something that is theirs with an unowned object. Therefore just appropriation according to this framework cannot occur.

The Arbitrary Nature Of Admixture

Property is arbitrary. This is not necessarily something we need (or are able to) correct. However, those who claim to have a universal solution to property need to face this fact.
Consider self-ownership. Living things are not static. We constantly ingest, inhale, exhale, and shed. All atoms that make up a person are bound to change. If these atoms that make up a person were once owned, and the owner hasn't consented to relinquishing ownership, then does a maid aggress against the property of somebody when they vacuum hair off a carpet or dust their skin cells from a counter? You might claim that the owner implicitly relinquished ownership. That's fine, but how does that work? By what rules do owners implicitly relinquish their property?
If a mosquito sucks my blood without consent, then sucks the blood of somebody else and in the process transfers some of my blood to them, do I still own that part of my body? Can I ask that person to return my blood to me? Maybe ownership only counts for atoms that I actively use or possess. In that case, why doesn't property beyond my body work the same way?
If I justly own a bucket of water and its contents evaporate and disperse into the atmosphere, do I own the atmosphere? After all, I mixed something owned (water) with something unowned (the atmosphere). Maybe I didn't mix enough of what I own with the atmosphere. In that case, how much of what I own do I need to mix with something that is unowned for me to appropriate it?
Let's examine land. If I plow a field, how much do I actually own? Do I own the atoms that my plow touches? How far down is the soil mine? Can somebody homestead just a few centimeters away from my farm in an area that I haven't touched?
With some thought, a believer in admixture could answer these questions. But would those answers be objective? If even one question here doesn't have an objective answer, then admixture itself is arbitrary, and that's okay. However, this means that any ethical framework built on admixture can't assert itself as the one truly ethical way to govern society throughout all space and time.

Admixture Is An Appeal To Desert

Admixture is an appeal to desert. It's justified through an emotional appeal that someone deserves their property (which is not necessarily bad, just arbitrary). Usually propertarians take an example that everybody can agree on, like an artist owning a sculpture they create. Murray Rothbard wrote:

put baldly, there are very few who would not concede the monstrous injustice of confiscating the sculptor's property

This very personal version of property that barely effects other people is then used as a foundation to justify other property that have led to conquest, consolidation, and tyranny.
Some anti-propertarians might say that the artist is justified in keeping the sculpture not because they mixed their labor with it, but because they're using it personally and not harming anyone else.

The Historical Implications Admixture

Frederick Engels wrote:

Every change in the social order, every revolution in property relations, is the necessary consequence of the creation of new forces of production which no longer fit into the old property relations.
Private property has not always existed.
When, towards the end of the Middle Ages, there arose a new mode of production which could not be carried on under the then existing feudal and guild forms of property, this manufacture, which had outgrown the old property relations, created a new property form, private property. And for manufacture and the earliest stage of development of big industry, private property was the only possible property form; the social order based on it was the only possible social order.

The admixture theory fails to understand property within the context of history as a relation that changes with the development of society, instead asserting itself as a universal moral truth to be applied throughout all of time. The admixture theory has not been a universal truth, or a truth at all for that matter, until the rise of liberalism during the enlightenment. Feudal property, the divine right of kings, slavery, and corporate systems of property all existed before (and even coexisted with) liberalism.
Not to mention war, conquest, and in particular, theft of the commons, where farmland was forcefully seized from peasants and placed into the hands of the property owning class where it was subsequently passed on from generation to generation, setting the precedent of concentrated power for centuries to come. This process was called "primitive accumulation," and it's the reason why Karl Marx criticized property as "idyllic" when in the first volume when he wrote:

as soon as the question of property crops up, it becomes a sacred duty to proclaim the intellectual food of the infant as the one thing fit for all ages and for all stages of development. In actual history it is notorious that conquest, enslavement, robbery, murder, briefly force, play the great part. In the tender annals of Political Economy, the idyllic reigns from time immemorial. Right and “labour” were from all time the sole means of enrichment, the present year of course always excepted. As a matter of fact, the methods of primitive accumulation are anything but idyllic.

The amixture theory is literally incapable of processing and correcting theft on such a massive scale that has occurred since time immemorial. How do you correct ancient robbery such as that of the commons? To ignore the claims of ancient people is to ignore the self-ownership of millions, yet there's no clean way to correct the mess of illegitimate property we now find ourselves in. During my research, I did find an answer to this question. Murray Rothbard wrote:

In this case of what we might call "feudalism" or "land monopoly," the feudal or monopolist landlords have no legitimate claim to the property. The current "tenants," or peasants, should be the absolute owners of their property, and, as in the case of slavery, the land titles should be transferred to the peasants, without compensation to the monopoly landlords.

There are two issues with this solution. Firstly, any chance for a legitimate voluntary trade (or any record of such a trade) while the land was illegitimately occupied has been long lost to history. We have no record or way of knowing who the legitimate proprietor of any land is that has been seized in the past during primitive accumulation. Secondly, the theft extends beyond just the land. If wealth was generated based on an illegitimate property claim, it then follows that the wealth is illegitimate too, therefore it must be returned to the people who it was stolen from, who are long dead with countless unknown decedents.
In reality, fixing the mess of illegitimate property we have on our hands will never happen, for both a lack of records and a lack of practicality. The answer to all of this is simple: abandon a conception of property based on divine metaphysical connections to the owner, and instead view property as a relation that changes with the development of society.

The Material World Is Inescapably Collectivist

An individualist approach to property doesn't account for the fact that the universe is used collectively. What one individual does with their property can effect the life and liberty of another. Murray Rothbard tried to address this in the Libertarian Manifesto, but it ended up blowing the whole idea of property out of the water:

in the case of air pollution we are dealing not so much with private property in the air as with protecting private property in one’s lungs, fields, and orchards. The vital fact about air pollution is that the polluter sends unwanted and unbidden pollutants—from smoke to nuclear radiation to sulfur oxides—through the air and into the lungs of innocent victims, as well as onto their material property. All such emanations which injure person or property constitute aggression against the private property of the victims. Air pollution, after all, is just as much aggression as committing arson against another’s property or injuring him physically

Rothbard did not expand on the implications of this afterward, because if he did, the idea of property would unravel. This implies that actions that harm others are illegitimate uses of property. This includes methane from cattle, carbon dioxide from power plants, tire particles from cars, lithium from batteries, over-fishing, over-hunting, excessive noise, and the list goes on. All these have been demonstrated to harm people beyond the property, in some cases even around the globe.
This pales in comparison to the biggest effect of acquiring property; that it takes others' liberty. Before private acquisition, others' were free to walk upon and enjoy the land, after acquisition, they're not. Robert Nozick wrote:

It will be implausible to view improving an object as giving full ownership to it, if the stock of unowned objects that might be improved is limited. For an object’s coming under one person’s ownership changes the situation of all others. Whereas previous they were at liberty (in Hohfeld’s sense) to use the object, they now no longer are.

This doesn't mean that restricting public access is bad in all cases. All this demonstrates the need for a more democratic model of property; because the effects of property are collectivist, whether we like that or not.

Conclusion

The point of this post isn't that property is bad or that all property should belong to a collectivist hivemind. It's that the natural rights approach is just a story that we tell ourselves. When we consider the actual nature of matter history and matter, we realize that mixing labor doesn't actually exist.
Whatever form of property should replace admixture is beyond the scope of this post. But we need to understand that property has always been a relationship that changes with the development of society. Claiming that there's only one true way that property can exist is nonsense.
