For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.—Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.—Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.—Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: and thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. Is not the Lord your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? Is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?—If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.—Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?—Behold the fowls of the air; … your heavenly Father feedeth them. 2023.06.08 15:07 Ryzen_Octavian How is it that hard to deliver to the right address when it's two streets away?
![]() | I ordered a LEGO parcel through express shipping with DHL on 29th May, and it arrived on the 5th June. However, just after it had been shipped I noticed the parcel had been sent under the wrong address. No worries I thought, I used DHL OnDemand to change the address to the right one via the alternate address option. Come the 5th June, its been delivered.. but not at my house. A quick check of the proof of deliver and.. wait... that's not my door. Customer service told me indeed that the parcel was sent to the original, incorrect address. They said the courier noted that it was strange because the recipient was unaware of the package (obviously they weren't, it's not theirs), noted they recieved nothing about an alternative address and suggested to the courier that they come and pick it up. So they told me, they'll pick it up and have it redelivered by the 6th June. Fast forward to today, the 8th June. After multiple voicemails (I keep getting called while I'm at work for some reason...) today I was told that the investigation was called because I quote, "the courier went to retrieve the shipment but the person who signed for the shipment said you (me) had already retrieved the shipment 2 days ago", so they closed the investigation. Um no, wtf, I don't have my parcel yet. I angrily demanded them to reopen the investigation and I got another voicemail (surprise), saying that "we did re open the trace file but it seems here you picked up the shipment on the 5th June, but it seems like you didn't get it, so I'll call you back on Monday 12th June"... Yes, thanks for telling me you delivered to the wrong address, and that you for some reason believe I was the one who picked up the shipment. Needless to say, I don't know if the recipient at the wrong address just gave away my parcel to the first person who showed up at their house or if the courier didn't even try to pick up my parcel, but I find it funny that DHL finds it hard to pick up a parcel and deliver it to the correct house 2 streets away. I would have personally gone over to the house myself, but they kept assuring me that they'll pick it up, and obviously they haven't, and according to them I don't even know if the parcel is still at their house.... 2023.06.08 15:03 alison-wood Common Mistakes to Avoid When Doing a String Line Wheel Alignment
![]() | submitted by alison-wood to u/alison-wood [link] [comments] QuickTrick 4th Gen DIY Wheel Alignment SystemsA wheel alignment is a crucial maintenance task that ensures your vehicle's wheels are properly aligned, promoting even tire wear, optimal handling, and improved fuel efficiency. While a professional wheel alignment is recommended, some DIY enthusiasts perform a string line wheel alignment at home.A string line wheel alignment, also known as a DIY string alignment, is a method of aligning the wheels of a vehicle using strings as a visual guide. It is a cost-effective alternative to professional wheel alignment services and can be performed at home or in a garage setting. If you are a keen DIY wheel alignment enthusiast, you should know the common wheel alignment errors to avoid that can compromise the accuracy of this method. Common Mistakes to Avoid for a Precise String Line Wheel Alignment Let's explore string line wheel alignment issues and learn some tips to help you achieve a more precise alignment. Neglecting Suspension Inspection Before attempting a string line wheel alignment, inspecting your vehicle's suspension components thoroughly is essential. Worn or damaged parts such as tie rods, control arms, and bushings can affect the alignment process and compromise the accuracy of your measurements. Make sure all suspension components are in good condition before proceeding. Inaccurate Measurement of Wheelbase The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear wheels, plays a significant role in achieving an accurate alignment. One common mistake is not measuring the wheelbase correctly. Ensure that you measure from the front wheel's centre to the rear wheel's centre on both sides of the vehicle. It will help maintain proper alignment and prevent issues such as dog-tracking. Unevenly Inflated Tires Another mistake to avoid is failing to check and adjust tire pressure before conducting a wheel alignment. Unevenly inflated tires can lead to inaccurate alignment readings and affect the overall performance of your vehicle. Use a reliable tire pressure gauge to ensure all tires are inflated to the manufacturer's recommended levels. Insufficient String Tension Using strings as a guide is a common method for DIY wheel alignments. However, insufficient string tension can lead to inaccurate measurements. Ensure the strings are taut and properly secured to provide a straight reference line. It will help you identify any deviations in the wheel alignment and make the necessary adjustments. Ignoring Caster and Camber Caster and camber are critical aspects of wheel alignment that influence vehicle stability and tire wear. Many DIY enthusiasts overlook these measurements, resulting in incomplete alignments. Invest in a reliable alignment tool or seek professional assistance to accurately measure and adjust your vehicle's caster and camber angles. Neglecting Toe Adjustment Toe alignment refers to the inward or outward angle of the tires when viewed from above. It is crucial to set the toe properly to avoid excessive tire wear and ensure stable handling. Neglecting toe adjustment is a common mistake during string line alignments. Utilize alignment tools or consult a professional to accurately set the toe alignment according to your vehicle's specifications. Not Rechecking After Adjustments Once you have made the necessary adjustments to your vehicle's wheel alignment, it is vital to recheck the measurements. Neglecting this step can result in an inaccurate alignment. Take the time to re-measure and ensure that all adjustments are properly implemented before finalizing the alignment. Performing a string line wheel alignment can be cost-effective for DIY enthusiasts. However, it is essential to avoid common wheel alignment mistakes that can compromise the accuracy and effectiveness of the alignment. Quick Trick Alignment provides high-quality, portable alignment tools for DIY enthusiasts and automotive professionals. Check out their DIY String Alignment Kit today! Frequently Asked Questions 1. How do you use the QuickTrick QuickString wheel alignment tool? Using the QuickTrick QuickString wheel alignment tool is relatively simple. First, park your vehicle on a level surface and properly inflate the tires. Attach the alignment tool to the front or rear wheels using the included brackets or adapters. Make sure the strings are taut and aligned with the vehicle's centerline. Then, measure the distance between the strings and the vehicle's front and rear wheels at predetermined points. Compare the measurements on each side and adjust as necessary to achieve proper alignment. 2. What are the differences between the 4th generation and 5th generation QuickString™? The difference between the 4th Gen and the 5th Gen QuickString™ is the added ability to check toe at each tire instead of total toe AND check thrust angle to square your vehicle simultaneously. It works with offset tires as well as standard. 3. What tools are used for wheel alignment? Various tools are used for wheel alignment, depending on the desired level of accuracy and the specific alignment method employed. Some commonly used tools include: Alignment Gauges: These gauges consist of calibrated plates or bars that attach to the wheels and provide measurements for toe, camber, and caster angles. Professionals often use them in conjunction with alignment machines for precise adjustments. Laser Alignment Systems: Laser alignment systems utilize laser beams to measure and align the wheels. These systems often come with target plates or sensors that attach to the wheels and provide real-time alignment readings. String Alignment Kits: String alignment kits, such as the QuickTrick QuickString tool, use strings as a visual guide to check the alignment. They typically include brackets or adapters to secure the strings to the wheels and provide reference lines for measurements. It's important to note that while some alignment tasks can be performed using DIY tools, professional wheel alignment services utilize sophisticated equipment and expertise to ensure the highest level of accuracy and precision. |

“We’re in a bit of a news vacuum: Earnings are done, the debt ceiling is resolved, and we’re waiting for the Fed next week,” said Barbara Doran, CEO of BD8 Capital Partners on “Closing Bell: Overtime” on Wednesday. “It’s widely expected they will pause, but it’s really going to be important what their guidance is and what the [consumer price index] number on Tuesday will be and the [producer price index].”
Indeed, investors seem to be in a holding pattern while awaiting the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting on June 13 and 14. 2023.06.08 13:09 KrispyBeaverBoy Jan-Feb 1990, Tokyo Japan: Tyson and Douglas's Sparring Partner Predicts Iron Mike's Demise
"Douglas insists that he is going to shock the world in this fight..."At the dawn of the 1990's, light was beginning to shine on the cracks of Mike Tyson's once impenetrable image. Although still undefeated and universally feared, the boxer once deemed the 'baddest man on the planet' was rotting from the inside.
"He would shock most of the world if he could make it into the middle rounds."
-An exchange between HBO commentators Larry Merchant and Jim Lampley moments before the heavyweight championship bout.

2023.06.08 11:50 leonardod8 Mazda 6 Sedan 2023 Will Open Up A Brand New Future
![]() | Mazda's plan to introduce a brand new Mazda 6 Sedan 2023 that would be powered by a fresh straight-six turbo petrol and rear-wheel drive has been quashed. The rumour mill was rife with speculation that Mazda's new rear-drive Large Architecture, which is supposed to underpin a range of new SUVs like the CX-60, CX-70 and CX-90, would also give rise to a sleek new 6 and possibly even a halo sports coupe, long rumoured to be badged as an RX-9. However, Mazda has now confirmed that both projects are currently low priorities and seem to be dead in the water, or at the very least, placed on the back burner. This is not only because they would be slow sellers given changing buyer tastes but also because Mazda's new Large Architecture is designed for SUVs only. submitted by leonardod8 to u/leonardod8 [link] [comments] https://preview.redd.it/hgl5wgbbnr4b1.jpg?width=912&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12ce83e7b26fd62de5f9ec16c1a9f13efca27b78 Mazda's head of design, Akira Tamatani, confirmed that the new Mazda 6 Sedan and halo sportscar are currently low priorities and if they can make a success out of those large platform products [CX-60 et al], then they might be able to have a passenger model. He admitted that a sportscar and a passenger car would require creating a brand-new platform for those types of cars, and Mazda would need to take certain steps in order to get there. Tamatani clarified that a new Mazda 6 would require a new platform as the vehicle height of a Mazda 6 would be lower than the SUVs, so they couldn't apply exactly the same platform for those vehicles. This Large Architecture is designed mainly for SUVs. Mazda's director and senior managing executive officer, Yasuhiro Aoyama, also poured cold water on the prospect of new-gen rear-drive 6. He said that they would focus on driving the core models for the Large Architecture, and they need to carefully investigate the opportunity to develop that type of model for different countries so that they can meet customer expectations. He admitted that they are still investigating a lot of opportunities around what should be the best product portfolio for them when they gradually shift from ICE to electrification. It is unclear whether Mazda's long-running mid-sizer will live on beyond its current generation. Aoyama confirmed that they are still investigating a lot of opportunities to make the appropriate portfolio considering the shift of their technologies into the future. Due to the market move towards SUVs, Mazda dropped the 6 from its lineup in America last year, and sales in Australia have plummeted. The brand is more optimistic about the classic MX-5's future, which Aoyama stated is now being developed for a reveal somewhere around 2026. |
