We are getting married! To be clear it’s for love but we will do it sooner than previously planned due to Visa reasons.
For context she will be on a student Visa, and I will be her spouse. Does anyone have any experience on spouse Visas? (S1 or S2 I believe)

Around 4 months ago, I started changing my life step by step. Initially, I began visiting therapy due to PTSD resulting from violent parents and tackle my depression. After a few weeks, I decided that I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming the person I really want to be.
In this recent period, I have avoided processed sugars, meat, and alcohol, and did more exercise. I have also made changes to my mindset in the context of work and education, among many other small things. As you see, I have made a lot of changes and am now seeking confirmation for these adjustments.
For many things, it is quite easy to see the progress. For example, I can see bodyweight reduction in the mirror or on the scales, or a hustling mindset in grades. I tried detoxing on dopamine to regain balance in terms of the reward system, including NoFap. Now, coming to my problem: I have failed NoFap many times, as the urges are much stronger than they usually have been before. I can imagine this boost in libido is due to the confidence I have gained from the adjustments I have made, as well as the confirmation I am seeking through female attention.
I believe masturbation is very critical in this situation, as gratification without proper work could undo all of my efforts made in the past months. This leads to my question: How can I control my urges? How do I proactively move my mind away from sexual thoughts? (I have tried breath meditation, but visual thoughts keep intervening.) Is this addiction?

I've spent the last week moving all my applications over to some sort of sso going through authentik. I have two instances of nextcloud that im hosting. One for my access only which is only accessible over vpn which has my photos, calendar, etc. I have this going through oauth and its working great. I have another nextcloud instance that is really just used for the talk application so my family can have group calls and chats.
Right now its just using the basic built in nextcloud auth but i wanted to move it over to authentik. I set up oath and allowed the firewall rules from the nextcloud vm over to my authentik vm. Internally, it works exactly as my other nextcloud instance, but when i try over the internet, i can reach the login page, I click the "login with authentik" button on the login page, it redirects over to the url of my authentik app, but then times out. I am assuming its because its redirecting the user over to my authentik vm which is not accessible over the internet.
Nextcloud is reached via 443 over the internet, and the oauth request is also over 443 to the authentik server so it wouldnt be possible to have both open. I cant imagine im the only one trying this so what am i doing wrong here?

I need a minute to just vent/word vomit... or something because I don't have anyone to talk to at the moment.
I think I always idolized my first AP (MM) because he seemed so perfect in just about every way for me, and he appeared at a very low point in my life, so he was something of a knight in shining armor. That relationship didn't last long for a number of reasons, and I didn't hear from him for a year and a half. In that time, I met AP2 (SM), and that relationship was more than I could've asked for given my situation. When AP2 got into a legitimate relationship, it naturally ended things between us with time. Conveniently, AP1 reappeared right around the same time. I wasn't in the right headspace to entertain it then but some months later, we found our way back to each other again.
Now, we've been talking for a few weeks but can't seem to line up our schedules to meet. I feel like I've been bending over backwards trying to make it work, and it seems like it's never a convenient time for him (which, side note, makes me miss having a single AP who was willing to see me whenever and wherever my schedule allowed). And I keep replaying that quote in my head: "if he wanted to, he would". I feel like I should just end it again before we even start anything but at the same time, I'm curious to revisit this relationship, and to see how things go if/when we see each other again. I know for a fact it won't last long, and I was pretty convinced I was done with this "lifestyle" after things with AP2 ended (and I was doing well). Now, I don't really know what to do.
I know so many people just move on after things end, but something is drawing me back to him (and you can probably assume what). Blah! I'm so frustrated.

I think I always idolized my first AP (MM) because he seemed so perfect in just about every way for me, and he appeared at a very low point in my life, so he was something of a knight in shining armor. That relationship didn't last long for a number of reasons, and I didn't hear from him for a year and a half. In that time, I met AP2 (SM), and that relationship was more than I could've asked for given my situation. When AP2 got into a legitimate relationship, it naturally ended things between us with time. Conveniently, AP1 reappeared right around the same time. I wasn't in the right headspace to entertain it then but some months later, we found our way back to each other again.
Now, we've been talking for a few weeks but can't seem to line up our schedules to meet. I feel like I've been bending over backwards trying to make it work, and it seems like it's never a convenient time for him (which, side note, makes me miss having a single AP who was willing to see me whenever and wherever my schedule allowed). And I keep replaying that quote in my head: "if he wanted to, he would". I feel like I should just end it again before we even start anything but at the same time, I'm curious to revisit this relationship, and to see how things go if/when we see each other again. I know for a fact it won't last long, and I was pretty convinced I was done with this "lifestyle" after things with AP2 ended (and I was doing well). Now, I don't really know what to do.
I know so many people just move on after things end, but something is drawing me back to him (and you can probably assume what). Blah! I'm so frustrated.

I have a job coach. Im trying to get my license. Im only 20 and I feel like shit. I already hate myself and feel useless and worthless. I know I'm depressed. I also live with the grandfather who sexually abused me as a child. My mom does feel bad about it but claims that I use that as a token to treat others like shit.
She came into my room today claiming I hate her and look at her with digust. And this is true. I've tried to live with her in peace and not get hurt or react to anything she says but I can't do it. Every time I try explaining my feelings she claims I try to act too smart with her. She is insufferable to be around.

Hi, I need advice about this situation. I act as guardian for my younger siblings on/off throughout the year depending on the situation at home with our mother. Right now my sister is with our mother.
My younger siblings never had a consistent phone plan because our mother does not work. Things had been rough at home for them because our mother is emotionally abusive (which is why I am their guardian at different times throughout the year) and I was worried about not being able to contact them when needed. My boyfriend generously chose to pay for new phones for the both of them and has been paying for their plans for the last 3 years.
My brother moved in with me last year because he was struggling at his old high school so I enrolled him at one in my state. We live 2.5 hours away from our mother and sister. Our sister stayed with our mother by choice.
The issue: My sister just went through a breakup and has not been taking it well, which is understandable. Breakups are tough for everyone, especially teenagers. The problem is that she has been texting her ex some truly awful things. She has been threatening self-harm, told her ex that she took a bunch of pills and was going to take more, said “I hope you’re happy and you get to live with this,” demanded all the gifts she gave back, had been insulting her ex, etc. and the texts are constant and nonstop.
Her ex is terrified that she’s saying all of this because my sister has made two “worst case scenario” attempts in the past and has engaged in a lot of self-harm. I took her threats of self harm seriously and she has lied and said she never said she would do any of that even though her ex has been sending us screenshots of all the messages.
She has been harassing and verbally abusing her ex through these messages for about a week and won’t stop or leave her ex alone. My brother and I have been telling her to stop and trying to explain why what she is doing is wrong but haven’t been able to do anything beyond that because of the distance. My sister gets angry at us for not being on her side about this. I’m trying to find a solution from where I am but I’ve exhausted what I can do.
My boyfriend is upset because he did not choose to pay for that phone so that my sister could use it to abuse someone and has expressed wanting to disconnect the line to force her to stop. The thing is that as long as she has a wifi connection, it won’t matter if the line is disconnected. At this point, I’m considering driving the 2.5 hours to physically take the phone from her and tell her she can pay for her own phone if this is what she is going to be using it for. I know doing this is going to cause a massive issue and she is going to hate me for it. I am also worried that not having her phone may make her mental health worse but I also need to look out for the ex who is also a child and should not be suffering through this level of abuse.
I am at the end of my rope, our mother is not helping, and I have no idea how else to navigate this. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I've been tinkering with four 4k Lorex cameras hooked to a Zoneminder system running on an 8 core AMD APU machine w/16GB RAM booting Debian and two 4 TB disks for capture storage. ZM was installed natively via the Debian guide, no docker involved. ZM runs, the cameras work great, I have them all connected, configured and displaying in Zoneminder as monitors.
I am having trouble trying to figure out mocord with 4k cameras. I initially set them all to mocord and the zmc processes ate CPU and RAM until they fell over from OOM in mere seconds. Reading up on this the fix is to use the cameras low resolution substream for motion analysis and trigger recording the 4k stream to disk. Though I am not sure how this is accomplished. So far I have:

The Virginia Commonwealth is terrible when it comes to taking care of its residents. Every. Single. Thing is nickle and dimed. Registering a car will likely be a few hundred dollars when you're finished, and a ton of leg work that should not be a thing in 2023. Filing a tax? Expect Va taxes to make your federal taxes look like a joke every year. Living out of town? Expect to pay thousands every year for the privilege. Looking for a break when struggling with a bill? Tough luck, even with great history. Expect to be told to go to church and ask for donations (from the taxation department). Want to access public benefits like Unemployment? Tough luck. I've been at it for 14 months and have yet to get a stable account working despite dozens of calls and online attempts to use their jank ass portal system.
If you need any mental health services, expect to be treated like you brought your misfortunes upon yourself due to laziness. You might even get a government official tell you to go to church and have Jesus help you get your life together. Combine this with a high cost of living, low living wages, and more speed traps than are reasonable unless most counties are counting on pulling people over in order to make their yearly budgets, and you're left with a parasitic, arrogant land (commonwealth? really? Are we royalty? Maybe just still proud of our past British colonization efforts?).
Despite paying said taxes and jumping through every BS hoop this state has tossed at me in the three years since I moved back (and have regretted it every step of the way), I still cannot secure the right to vote within the state for some reason. Hello all, This is going to be my first attempt at building a RC airplane and I see tiny trainer being mentioned a lot for beginners so decided to go with it. I am from an East Asian country so cannot order their parts directly and had to improvise. I will be starting with three channel and moving to four as I get more comfortable. Here is what I have researched till now but I need help from more experienced people here to finalise the list:
Foam Board: I have access to following sizes, which one would be the easiest to build on:
Props: I am assuming they depend on the motor specs, so again I would be needing help here
Battery: Some forums suggest 2S and others 3S, I would like some clarity on which one to choose and what capacity to be able to get around 15 minutes of flight time
Servos: The power pack A contains 5gm servos but it is a LOT easier to get 9gm here, would that be a problem or is it fine
I am open to any and all suggestions so that I can have the best possible experience with the plane

2023.03.20 17:41 jkk454 Thoughts on the Need for Speed movie?
I thought the middle section was superbly paced and so just so, so exciting. The natural stuntwork, and those in car mounted cameras, combined with the excellent sound mixing contributes to all of this. The first 30 or 35 minutes and the first two car race scenes are perfectly OK-ish from a technical perspective, but aren't massively engaging from a narrative perspective, and don't give a very good first impression. The last race and ending doesn't give quite the same high as the middle section, but is still considerably better than the first third, and doesn't detract from it being a great movie overall.
I actually liked Aaron Paul in this, and thought he did a rather decent job despite a script which wasn't the best. Imogen Poots wasn't too bad either - initially I thought she was just going to be a 'dumb blonde' stereotype, but the chemistry and camaraderie between her and Aaron really does develop quite well as the film goes on. I instantly hated the character Dino Brewster, and found him to be highly emotionless and wooden in his facial expressions and delivery. Rami Malek is quite good fun at times too, though I'm biased as I have strong attachment to Mr Robot. The rest of the cast I don't remember too much about.
I thought the humour on the whole wasn't too bad either. The timing and delivery was never off. It knows its tounge in check, and embraces this.
I personally really, really enjoyed it. I gave it 4 stars on Letterboxd, and would definitely watch it again. I thought it was going to be an enjoyable one time watch, but nothing much more, when I saw it come up on Amazon Prime Video - I was truly surprised.

After a complicated breakup (over 3 years ago) I (24F) finally decided I was ready to meet someone again, and decided to give online dating a try. I met a really nice guy (24M) - we'll call him Steve - who made it very clear that he was looking for a serious relationship only. Since I really don't like casual dating I thought this sounded great and we met up for a walk at the end of last week. We ended up being out for a long time and met up again last night, this time for nearly 5 hours, and ended up cuddling. It was really nice and sweet, we got along really well, we laughed together, and yet something doesn't feel quite right. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm suddenly really unsure if this is something I really want. I want to be honest with him but I can't even identify the problem for myself, and I don't want to keep seeing him knowing that something feels off. He's a really cool guy and doesn't deserve me lying to or keeping that from him.
I was also talking to another guy (26M) - we'll call him John - before I met Steve. I tried to show her a game but she wasn’t paying attention . once she gave me gummies too but idk if she gave me cuz my aunt forced her too. She sometimes doesn’t greet me goodbye won’t even a hug (It’s polite gesture in argentina to give a person a hug when saying bye/hi). One time she was about too and just award stood there when i was getting up but she just walked to someone else. she just hangs around my other cousin more. Yesterday she wanted to play on someone’s phone but couldn’t so i wanted to give her mines She said no. One time her friend made her invite me to talk to them. Her friend just kept laughing at everything i was saying and asking me stuff. After that we had to eat and my cousin was just giving me a werid smile and i was like “what?” in a awkward way.
