I created this clan in hopes of finding and building a relaxed & active community of CoC players who enjoy doing Clan activities like Wars, Clan Games, Capital Raids etc. Any player that's active daily (preferred, but not necessary) and is looking for a chill clan to hang out in is welcome to join.
While the clan isn't really hardcore, we do have a few rules to follow to avoid some confusion.
- If you opt in for Clan Wars it is expected to use at least 1 attack on your mirror after that we usually do clean ups from the bottom up in the 2nd half of the War. Those who are a higher Town Hall should try clearing higher enemy THs, so that those who are lower still have a chance to gain some loot. Wars are usually back-to-back, if you don't want to participate in every single one then opt out.
- When you attack a district in Clan Capital you attack it until you clear it so others don't have to use their attacks for clean ups (unless you specifically want to clear districts for faster attacks due to time, then just say it in chat).
- Participating in Clan Games isn't a must, but it is still highly appreciated since everyone shares the rewards and if it's possible, try completing some challenges even if you don't earn max points, it's the team effort that counts. Same thing with donations, they aren't a must but they're still appreciated.
- When it comes to CWL, I will ask the members first if they're even willing to participate or not.
And that's about it. The only other things that are expected is to communicate in English and to be respectful to each other. The clan is set to invite only in order to prevent spammers from joining. Heading into month 5 of T and getting ready to start thinking about spending some $$ on a tinnitus masking "hearing aid". I'm tired of carrying my phone playing Tibetan bells all over the house, playing bird noises in my office like a wacko, or wearing earphones all the time so people think I'm not listening to them. The sounds do help me. I mean, I'd love some quiet, but when the T is covered up at least I am not a wreck.
I have no hearing loss, so I don't need that tech, just something comfy and discrete that can play bluetooth and masking sounds, with a rechargeable battery.
Anyone here have a recommendation?
I heard someone say something on NPR the other day that stuck with me: "Don't postpone your happiness." I'm not waiting anymore. Maybe my T will go away in another year, maybe I'll habituate, maybe not. I don't want to postpone my happiness until any of those happens.
This sucks hard and I'm so over it. Time to become a cyborg.

I am 21 ftm and still unable to find the courage to come out to my parents. I have reason to believe my mom would be mostly accepting, but other family members not so much. Given that, I don’t feel quite ready to tell anyone, not even her. But I’m concerned that withholding could eventually lead to hurt and/or anger when I finally do tell her. Of course I know that if that is the case, it shouldn’t be my burden to bear. But I would like to hear about your feelings if you had an older trans child come out seemingly “out of the blue.” Just to anticipate what she may be feeling when the time comes.

Hi there! 23m here. I'm European, so university has been almost free for me. I finished my degree on Cinema Studies last year, and I'm since September taking a master's degree on documentary.
The thing is that I've always loved studying, and I've loved to study for my degree. However, I have other things in my life that give me much better rewards than studying. I like having my time to enjoy life in a daily basis, I love working on my relationships with friends and couples, I play in and manage a couple of small music bands, etc. I love playing music, and learning. I'm self-taught, but people have always told me that I could be a professional player because I love it so much and I've played so much for the last 10 years or so.
Okay, with my master's degree I was planning on getting a job (my country's audiovisual industry is really hermetic) because imternships in public national tv are offered. And the master's topic is really interesting as well. It also has been more expensive than my whole degree, so I guess I'm paying for the internship opportunity and for the academic quality. Let's say this master is my main responsibility right now.
I started really motivated in September and kept going strongky until a month and a half ago. Some of the new classes were not as appealing, and that made me angry. Like very angry sometimes. So much I started spending much less time on them and did the minimum effort in order to pass them. I also began to work harder on the management of the music bands, and retook playing instruments daily.
The thing is that I've been really happy because I've been doing what I really want. I've been working hard on those "hobbies" and feeling tired from that hard work has made me feel amazing. Once again I've thought of trying to make a living from music (I know it's really hard, and there are many ways to approach that goal, I don't know which one's best though). But I feel like I'm failing my September self because I'm putting like a 10th of the effort I was planning to on the master.
I feel like I have a problem on doing what I want vs doing what I must. My master is a "must" in terms of ending up working in a job I'll probably mildly enjoy. Music is a "want" because is literally my passion but I haven't found any safe way to make a living out of it. Being happy is a "must+want", and right now I'm very happy with what I'm doing, but I feel like I should kinda grow-thefuck-up and focus on what I must do. Why is it so hard?
Am I doing it well because I'm prioritizing on what makes me happy or should I grow a pair and apply some more discipline to my life, so maybe I'll have a better job?
TLDR: Professionally speaking, should I prioritize on my safer but more boring "must's" or should I focus on my more unrealistic passions? Can I do both? (I feel like there's not enough time and money in life for both)

I'm super into a lot of science fiction universes as well and I love to dive super deep into the lore and stories behind it, that's especially true for Star Wars and Star Trek. I've wanted to learn more about Warhammer, so it would be cool to talk about that as well.
I'm also super deep into history and technology, especially the military side of things. I really enjoy talking about defence trchnology and policy. Current events are also always welcome. I actually wanted to join the army, but I couldn't because of my mental health issues.
When it comes to more unusual things that I enjoy, there are probably trains, I know that's weird but they make me feel oddly comfortable. I enjoy looking at them, taking pictures of them, playing different train simulators wnd building Lego Trains.
Lego in general is a huge thing for me, I've a sizeable collection of mostly Star Wars, City and Creator, wirh some Technic mixed in for good measure but I also enjoy making my own creations.
Other stuff I like to collect are things like Star Wars helmets and lightsabers, star trek ship models or train models.
I love drawing and painting, I've a graphical tablet for drawing and if we talk a bit I would probably be open to showing a bit of the stuff I made, but I won't show it right away because I'm very shy about it.
I'm not the healthiest person right now when it comes to my habits but maybe we could motivate each other. (Without shaming please)
Other odd facts about me:

• I love dyeing my hair in weird colors and I do that every few weeks, so I'm basically like a chameleon.
  
• I basically exclusively shop for clothes either second hand or weird tacticalish stuff like 5.11, UF-pro and so on, so my fashion is interesting lol. I like stuff with a lot of pockets, what can I say.
  
• I'm still super scared of Covid so I really try to avoid contact to people even more than before.
  
• Also I actually genuinely like wearing masks and I'm probably not going to stop it after the pandemic ends.

Hello Reddit community,
We recently relocated to the Netherlands and rented a house from a major housing management company. The contract is supposed to begin on April 1st, but we were expecting to take possession of the property on March 30th. Unfortunately, the company's representative did not show up.
We had already scheduled the delivery of our belongings for April 4th, assuming we would have access to the property on the 30th of March. However, now we are concerned that we may not get the keys until April 3rd, which means we may need to postpone the delivery. The moving company has informed us that they need at least 10 days to obtain parking permits, so delaying the delivery could result in additional charges for us.
Furthermore, since we are currently living in temporary housing, we will need to extend our stay, which will result in additional expenses. We are concerned that the housing management company has been unresponsive to our requests for information and seems to be ignoring the problem entirely.
Unfortunately, as we are new in the country, we do not have legal insurance, which we would typically use to obtain advice and guidance in situations like this. We believe that if the housing management company cannot deliver the property on April 3rd as per the contract, they should be held responsible for any financial losses we incur as a result.

I'm still living at home, but 18 so psych can't break my pricacy and nothing requires their agreement, ect. My parents are really conservative so I'm not getting any surgeries until i move out, but that doesn't seem to be that far into the future and i rather have them sooner than later, so now that I'm going to a psychologist how do i bring this up?
I haven't told anyone irl about this and not planning to, despite having my school full of rainbowhaired, allegedly "nb" people who would likely love that. I don't think there is a way for me to come out without a dissappinting outcome. But i do want top surgery, so ig I'll have to tell my psychologist? Is there somewhere else where i could go to instead? How badly/well can she react? Is she allowed to be rude about it? Please tell me what your route to treatment was, specially tell me if any medical professionals were rude. Can someone please explain why Silver Fern Farms, the country’s largest meat processor and marketer, lifted annual profit 82% this year?
Are there other examples of NZ companies being more profitable despite kiwi's struggling to afford food?
Our household earns more than most New Zealanders, but I still find the supermarket prices so high that I walk by meat and vegetables that I'm not prepared to pay that price for. It must be so much harder for many households with less income.
We need to start naming NZ companies that are raising prices and enjoying increased profits, while others struggle.
And of course, once these companies increase their prices, they are unlikely to ever reduce them.

In the sleepy town of Willowbrook, the once-magnificent Hawthorn Manor stood as a decaying monument to the past. The local residents whispered tales of the ghosts that roamed the house, particularly the vengeful spirit of Lady Margaret Hawthorn, the last surviving member of the once-prominent family.
One dark and stormy night, a group of four friends—Lucy, Jack, Sarah, and Rob—decided to test the legends and ventured to the manor. The chilling wind and distant thunder heightened their apprehension as they approached the dilapidated building.
They found the front door ajar, and with trembling hands, Jack pushed it open, the rusted hinges groaning in protest. The entrance hall was shrouded in darkness, but the dim light of their flashlights revealed a grand staircase covered in a thick layer of dust.
The friends hesitantly explored the ground floor, finding remnants of a once-luxurious life—moldy paintings, decaying furniture, and tattered curtains. As they wandered deeper into the house, the air grew colder, and they heard faint whispers that seemed to echo through the walls.
Determined to confront the spirit of Lady Margaret, they climbed the staircase to the second floor, where they found the entrance to the master bedroom. Jack, with a deep breath, pushed the door open.
The room was surprisingly well-preserved, dominated by a magnificent canopy bed draped in moth-eaten velvet. The friends suddenly felt an oppressive presence, as if they were being watched. They heard a distant wail, like the cry of a woman in anguish.
Sarah, her voice trembling, called out, "Lady Margaret, are you here?" The room went silent, and the atmosphere grew tense. Suddenly, a gust of icy wind extinguished their flashlights, plunging them into darkness.

Petrified, the friends stumbled back, trying to escape the room, but the door slammed shut, trapping them inside. The spirit's rage intensified, and the room shook with the force of her anger.
With trembling hands, Lucy found a silver locket hidden in the folds of a decrepit armchair. Instinctively, she opened it, revealing a portrait of Lady Margaret in happier times.
As the spirit's fury grew, Lucy held up the locket and cried, "Lady Margaret, please, find peace!" The spectral figure paused, gazing at the locket, and her rage seemed to subside. A single tear fell from her ghostly eye, and her expression softened.
"I just wanted to be remembered," she whispered. With that, she vanished, and the room was plunged into darkness once more.
The friends, still shaking with fear, managed to escape the room and fled the manor. Although they had survived their encounter with the vengeful spirit, they would never forget the haunting of Hawthorn Manor.

My Experience in a Seemingly Alternate Reality. Screenshots Provided
The concept of a parallel universe, a world similar to our own but differing slightly, perhaps possessing a subtle divergence in history, has always been a prevalent theme in literature. Several individuals have even claimed to have visited alternate realities, experiencing a slightly different, possibly darker, version of the world we know. The vast majority of these people are certainly crackpots, or cranks desiring attention. Nonetheless, a small percentage of these claims are difficult to dismiss, and lead me to significant doubt about the true nature of the world. A couple months ago, I think that I actually experienced, briefly, life in an alternate timeline. From what I can see, this subreddit might be open to stories beyond the ordinary, and I at least hope that you take the time to consider my account.
On June 28, 2014, my morning was the same as any other day. I woke up, brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, got in the car to go to work. I was confused, however, after I switched on the radio. I usually listen to music on my morning drive, but the station was playing some sort of news talk show. The host was exuberantly referencing our "victory in the Great War", as he praised troops and the armed forces. At first, I thought that he was discussing the recent end to the War in Afghanistan, as our combat troops were withdrawing at the time. I was confused, however, when he started discussing the conclusion of our "victory in Italy", and how the "second Great Depression will come to an end as our victory is secured". I assumed that this was some strange sci-fi or fictional program, and largely forgot about it. At my lunch break at work, however, I overheard my office co-workers talking about our "victory in Italy" and how "unity" will be preserved. For some reason, they kept mentioning the numbers 33-13. I asked them what the hell they were discussing, but they told me that my ignorance was "disrespectful towards the troops". It was then that I noticed that one of my fellow co-workers, Sam, was not present; when I asked if he was sick, nobody knew who he was. Strange.
On the way home, I took a different route (through the city) to avoid traffic. Numerous "victory" banners were hanging on the walls of buildings, showing images of American marines braving some foreign beach. I couldn't help noticing that the city looked far poorer than I remembered, and many buildings were abandoned and crumbling. In my apartment, I turned on CNN, just to understand what was going on. The hosts discussed how "Italian logistical targets were decisively defeated with little civilian casualty" and that the "insurgency in Greece and Ireland is drawing down with every passing day". The experience was so unexpected, so bizarre, that I can still remember the words of the newscasters vividly.
I decided to peruse Wikipedia, as I knew that the site would at least give an overview of the "war". As I read the page, I grew increasingly confused and bewildered. The Greek debt crisis had exponentially increased in intensity; there was a string of defaults across Europe, and the Eurozone collapsed into civil war. The United States was in a worse depression than the 1930s, as global finance collapsed, and the war bankrupted our economy further. Ireland and Greece were occupied by "coalition" forces, and there was a violent nationalist insurgency in both countries. I decided that I must be dreaming; to test whether this was really happening, I took screenshots of the pages on my phone. Sure enough, after I woke up, the pictures were still there:

After this experience, I examined the possibility of parallel universes. According to the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, each event leads to a divergence of timelines, with a different outcome corresponding to a different reality. It seems that somehow, somewhere, our universe diverged, and a different, darker timeline formed.

Overview

I want to talk about Twilight's actions of trying to steal the Pearl of Seaquestria in My Little Pony the Movie, as well as her behavior in general. Quite a few people have been quick to say that she was in the wrong, or that she was being a bad friend in the movie. However I'm here to tell you that Twilight Sparkle did absoutley nothing wrong.

Twilight's Stress

First let's go over what let up to Twilight trying to steal the pearl. Equestria was holding it's first Festeival of Friendship which Twilight was in charge of putting together, and making sure everything went well. We even see in the beginning that she was already pretty stressed out.
Then things go wrong when the Storm King's army appears with Tempest, and turns Celestia, Luna, and Cadance to stone forcing Twilight, and her friends to go on a perilous adventure to find the Hippogriffs in order to save Equestria.

Her Friends Behavior

I'm sorry to say this, but really it was the other members of the mane six who weren't really being good friends to Twilight. Pinkie Pie really wasn't taking their adventure seriously despite the stack Equestria was in, and when Twilight told her not to draw attention to them in that town Pinkie Pie flat out ignored her. Then we have Rainbow Dash performing that Sonic Rainboom which caused them to be spotted by Tempest.

Morals

After everything Twilight went through in the movie, and if you really put youself in her shoes or hooves in this case, I'm sure alot of us would have probably done the same thing Twilight did. My Little Pony is great at showing morals in situatons. If we look at Twilight stealing the pearl from a moral persepective then yes it was morally the wrong thing to do as that pearl was very important to the hippogriffs/seaponies. But then let's look at the situation Equestria was in. Everyone appart from the Mane Six was imprisoned, The Storm King was about to have full control, and Twilight really had no idea if the seaponies would have helped them, and she had to think about the safety of Equestria, as that was the most important thing at the moment, not friendship, not morals, and not singing, and dancing. Equestria's safety was Twilight's main priorty, and should have been everypony else's priorty.

Similatteres with another Character.

Infact with what I said Twilight is very similar to another complext character, Eren Yeager. Twilight stealing the pearl is the equalvelant to Eren actvating the Rumbling. Now your probably thinking to yourself how is Twilight stealing a pearl in anyway similar to Eren killing billions of innocent people, and the answer is once again morallity. Eren knows that in a moral standpoint the Rumbling is the wrong thing to do, he tries desperately to find another option, even breaks down and cries when he realizes that he had no other option. The Rumbling is morally the wrong thing to do, but it was truly the only way Paradis could survive. It's the same situation Twilight was in. Morally what she did was wrong, but at that point it really was the only option to save Equestria.

Conclusion

So in the end, while yes Twilight shouldn't have tried to steal the pearl, at that point she really had no other options because Equestria's fate was at stack. And tell me what would you do if your home was in danger would you waste your time making friends with everyone you meet, or would you do whatever it takes to protect your home even if it is morally the wrong thing to do?

Yesterday, I was at my party’s weekly session, and I killed the cleric. Should I feel bad?
Context: I play a lawful-evil bard (DM was ok with this, as are the players). My character is driven to working with the BBEG by the idea that he’ll resurrect their sister from the dead. I have already gotten one party member killed prior (by utilising suggestion to trick them into annoying one of the final bosses, hence getting them killed) (again, DM and players were ok with this). But yesterday, I was leaving a shop in the town, and I bumped into the cleric (who has sided with the rebellion on the opposite side of the war out campaign is in) and we had a conversation. I turned my back on him, and he went to stab me in the back, and missed my AC. I had had no intentions of killing him up to this point (at least not in town, we had a duel set up for a later session), but nevertheless, a fight ensued, where he got incredibly unlucky with his dice, as opposed to me getting very lucky. He went into death saves, and I hit him whilst he was down, resulting in his death.
The party seem ok with what happened, ruling Hugo’s (the cleric) death a result of self defence, but nevertheless, I feel like I could have gone for a less lethal solution (even though Strejik (my bard), was acting in character?
Am I in the wrong?

CW: Miscarriage
This is my first post so please excuse if my verbiage is off. My DH & I have been married for 6 years, no children; we’re leaning child free. We’re completely content at the moment. The relationship with my MIL has been rocky since the start (controlling, manipulative, the usual stuff).
I had a miscarriage right before Christmas, it was very traumatic and unsettling for me & DH.
Last week she attended a funeral for my family member who passed away. Multiple people came up to me and said she was making comments about us not having children “Oh everyone is having children BUT op & DH!” & “Wish they would get going with the baby thing.”
She knows about the miscarriage and acted very concerned and sympathetic when it happened. Now I feel betrayed and don’t feel like we need to justify our choices; and the fact that she knows I just had a miscarriage makes me feel like she was being vindictive with her comments.
Ofcourse I’m the one being blamed for us not having children, it couldn’t possibly be her son who isn’t ready to be a dad /s
I just needed to put this into the universe because I’m so angry about it. Thanks for listening

Before we begin, I just want to make it known that this is not a mental health issue. I am currently medicated with a low frequency entity.
Okay, so this might be a far fetched concept but I have a low frequency entity attached. It was hanging around for a while prior to this and it finally got close and personal when I was doing energy work with covid.
I am currently tinkering with frequency changes for myself and making the environment unliveable for the entity.
A suggestion from a shaman is to take the entity to the astral realm, I have been doing that and basically I've been becoming myself again, there is less control that this frequency is getting and I am becoming empowered.
Basically, I'm just here to ask for some advice while in that space doing battle. What are some practices for protection and how will I know if the frequency is ready to be transmuted. It released my soul animal (puppy) the last time I went into the arena.
Again, this might be a far fetched concept to some and others might be quick to dismiss due to mental health etc. The fact to the matter is, im actually seeing results using this method. I just thought I'd reach out and see if others can provide more information.

Hey so I am two years into Buddhism now, and went to a couple vipassana retreats in my country (good ones but not so traditional and not on a monastry) and one year from now I'm finishing my academic degree and I plan to go deeper and find a place to go on and off on retreats and find a good teacher.
I want it to be in europe becasue I have a few more things to do there.
During the last two years I listned to many Tich Nhat Hanh dharma talks and guided meditations and got very connected to this tradition, and started planning to go to plum village france after graduation.
But recently after checking their website im beginnig to wonder if plum village is authentic enough as it is right now. I'm afraid mostly because of how populer this tradition is online and that the retreats would be filled with too many people and finding guidence would be hard.
I am also afraid that hype that I might have from all the videos that they are uploading and how beautiful and calm everything looks will damage my expectations for asimple and authentic experience of a buddhist monastery. And yes, I am aware that expectations are something that it is good to work with, but Im searching for a place that I can count on and fully commit to it so, yeah, I dont want to go to the wrong place just because I'm hyped from youtube.
Do you think that my worries are legit?
If you guys can share from your experience it would be very helpful to me. Thank you.

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge!
I'm pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.
Maybe you're new to /stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you're like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you've been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.
It doesn't matter if you're still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, lets not drink alcohol!
This pledge is a statement of intent. Today we don't set out trying not to drink, we make a conscious decision not to drink. It sounds simple, but all of us know it can be hard and sometimes impossible. The group can support and inspire us, yet only one person can decide if we drink today. Give that person the right mindset!
What happens if we can't keep to our pledge? We give up or try again. And since we're here in /stopdrinking, we're not ready to give up.
What this is: A simple thread where we commit to not drinking alcohol for the next 24 hours, posting to show others that they're not alone and making a pledge to ourselves. Anybody can join and participate at any time, you do not have to be a regular at /stopdrinking or have followed the pledges from the beginning.
What this isn't: A good place for a detailed introduction of yourself, directly seek advice or share lengthy stories. You'll get a more personal response in your own thread.

I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again: This week of hosting the DCI has been amazing. You are truly some of the kindest and most supportive people I’ve ever met. What does your Saturday look like? I love Saturdays. I love waking up without an alarm and drinking coffee leisurely while doing the crossword or scrolling through here. I write the grocery list and do some tidying up. I might do a deep clean, or I might go shopping, or I might read a book or flake out in front of the TV. In the summer, I almost always take my coffee cup and do a tour of my garden to see what’s blooming, and then sit down to listen to the birds and watch the squirrels. I’ll take my dog out for a long romp and take in the sun and the warm and the urban wildlife.
Those are the things I usually choose to do. I’ve had enough excitement in my life, if I’m honest. I spent 20+ years doing exciting things like clubbing and partying all night and my days recovering from all the exciting.
While my life is a lot quieter than it was then, it also holds more opportunity and freedom. I get to choose how I spend my time now, and that is a hell of a thing. I’m not bound to the chains of drinking and recovering from drinking anymore, at least as long as I choose not to drink , that is. I’m up for anything, and I have the energy for it too. There is no more “one day” or “tomorrow.” There is now, there is choice, there is freedom, and I’m so grateful to be here for it.

Seen a lot of comments saying she's not going to know what hit her being woken up every two hours etc...
My experience was a little different so I thought i'd share it, as maybe it would apply here. My boy was born 6 weeks early weighing 5lb. He was 10 days in the NICU. And this is what I believe is the difference, he didn't always wake up for a feed. I had to have a two hour timer to wake him up. Preemie babys just want to sleep, my boy wasn't very interested in finishing milk and would just fall asleep mid feed. I had to keep a diary of every oz he drank and was weighed very regularly.
Are they going to be ready for that? Will they be setting alarms all night and getting up if the baby isnt crying? Do they health visitors in the USA that will be visiting to keep an eye on her weight? Honestly I hope they will.
